Hi everybody!
Welcome back to my channel.
If you're new here, thanks for joining.
Today's video I'm finally going to do my question and answer video.
So last week I had a video asking you guys to submit your questions in the comments and
I would be making this video shortly, and I received a lot of questions.
So with that being said I'm actually gonna make two question and answer videos just because
I wanna answer everybody's question but if I do one video it's gonna be really really
long so today will be Q&A part 1 and then next week I will have Q&A part 2.
So if you didn't get your question answered in the first one stayed tuned for part 2 and
hopefully I will be answering your questions there.
So yeah, I'm just gonna start right in and start answering some questions.
So I have a question here from Breezy Plant.
Breezy Plant asks: do you prefer songs in Vietnamese or songs in English and can you
sing in Vietnamese?
So actually for me I listen to Korean music.
You probably know that from some other videos I made but yeah so normally I listen to Korean
music and I know some Vietnamese music too and of course English music.
I'm not a good singer so I'm not going to sing for you guys but you know I did Karaoke
before.
So yeah, that's, that's my answer for that one.
So thank you Breezy Plant for your question.
The next question is from Ha Ho Sy.
Ha Ho Sy said, what is the main reason that makes you decide to go back to Vietnam along
with your husband?
Why don't you raise your family in the U.S.?
So everybody for some reason thinks I live in Vietnam, which I don't.
I live in the United States right now.
So it's the opposite.
Yes, we have chosen to stay in the United States and my husband works here.
I'm still going to graduate school and am gonna get a job next year here and we're gonna
raise our family here in the U.S. so that's kind of a question that a lot of people were
asking and so I'm glad I could clear that up.
Thanks for the question.
Now I have another question from Ngoc Anh Nguyen.
Ngoc Anh Nguyen says, hey beauty, tell me what are the difference before and after getting
married?
And when you guys live together, then how can you both organize everything?
I mean who cooks, who does housework and shopping market, etc?
So we know, being in America, we're also very young so I guess you could say it's more like
a modern day couple.
So when it comes to like organizing, let's see, tell me what the difference is before
and after getting married, well there wasn't really much difference I guess.
Like, we were together before together after so, that's a funny question.
We're still the same people together and it's still the same thing so for us nothing really
changed, we're just officially married.
So for cooking, housework and shopping, so my husband Huy is actually a really good cook
so I let him cook most of the time but I do some cooking as well.
And then for housework I do like dishes and laundry and he helps with taking out the trash,
wash the floor, stuff like that, so we work together as a team.
We go to the supermarket together to buy food because, you know, it's just more fun to be
a team.
So it's not like one person does everything the other does everything, for the most part
we work together.
So I hope that answers your question!
The next question is a different one so, Aarati says, my question for you is what do you like
about India and would you visit it in the future?
Also, have you tried Indian food?
So, I don't know a lot about India except for I have had the food here in the US and
what I've had is delicious like ummm of course the Naan bread is very good and Chicken Tikka
Masala, which I think is actually a British invention, but like those kind of, and curries,
I love Indian curries, so delicious.
Of course I would want to visit someday, so yeah, hopefully I can.
I'm trying to learn some Hindi so Namaste.
And thank you so much for the question and your support.
So Thuy Hoang asks, when did your husband's parents move to the US and where did they
settle down?
How old is your husband?
Where are you guys living now?
So my husband's parents don't live in the US, they're still in Vietnam and they live
in Ho Chi Minh City.
My husband is 25 years old and I'm about to be 25 years old as well, so we're quite young.
So maybe his parents will come here someday but for now they are still living in Vietnam.
Another question here from Hieu Nguyen says, which is your favorite city in Vietnam that
you would like to visit?
So I have been to Ho Chi Minh City, because that's where my family lives, I have also
been to Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, Vung Tau, Can Tho, and Mekong River Delta.
So those areas, I've been in the South.
I would really really love to visit Hanoi and also Ha Long Bay, because it just looks
so beautiful so hopefully I will get to visit there next time, well maybe not next time
but in the future I want to visit the North.
So I have a lot of people asking how we met.
I'm gonna actually make a complete video about that later so that it's just in one place
because I don't want it to get lost in this video so thank you to Thao Doan for asking
about a please do a how we met video.
I will be doing that soon.
You also included some questions that I can try to answer here so you said, do you guys
plan to have children in the near future?
So right now I'm finishing my school, I'm in graduate school getting my masters.
I'll be done next year and then maybe I'm gonna find a stable job so maybe in 2 or 3
years we will have children.
So it's not like super in the near future but of course it will come quickly.
I think we will be around 28 years old at that time so I think that's a good age to
have children.
Somebody asked, why did you decide to marry so early?
This was from Marnie Marnie MH.
Well, it wasn't like, I don't know, it's hard to explain because it wasn't like when we
made the decisions I was thinking oh I'm so young, maybe I shouldn't get married.
We were just ready to get married so we did.
I feel like I'm a mature person overall so even though I was only 20 at the time I was
a little bit more mature than some other people maybe the same age so for me I didn't feel
like I was too young to get married.
I feel like it was the perfect age for me do so.
So thanks for the question.
So I don't know if it's Duy Pham..
Duy Pham asks, did you date any asian guys before you met your husband?
No, I did not.
I mean, not that I was looking for a specific kind of person to date, it just happened to
be that the person I fell in love with was Asian, and Vietnamese, so it wasn't like,
oh I need to find an Asian guy or oh I need to find a White guy, no it wasn't like that.
And before that I didn't think about it either so yeah I guess it's interesting.
The next question I have here is, what is your job?
So currently I am a student, I'm in grad school studying global affairs, but I do have a part-time
job.
So I work for the university in the dorm.
I'm kind of like an assistant supervisor of the dormitory where the students live.
I work 25 hours per week over there and then I go to school.
And I like my job, it's a lot of fun to work with students so yeah, it's great!
Another one here from Huyen Nguyen said, why did you call in love with a Vietnamese guys?
Personally, I find that Western girls are not interested in Asian guys, especially Vietnamese.
Like I said before, it's not like I was looking for an Asian guy or a White guy or a Black
guy or a Latino..
I wasn't like, that's not how I think.
When you grow up in America, you don't, at least for me, I can't say for everybody, but
for me growing up in America you see everybody from different backgrounds so it's not like
you're just stuck in one box of like just white people.
No, I know in other countries where it's not as diverse you may feel like pressure to only
marry your race but for me that's not the case so the question of why did you fall in
love with a Vietnamese guy?
I didn't fall in love with a Vietnamese guy, I fell in love with a guy.
So, that's just how it happened.
you know.
We connected, we liked each other, and that's just how it went.
I hope that answered your question.
Nguyen Touyen, I'm sorry fi I said you name wrong, says, can you share a bit about how
you and your husband know each other?
Sure.
So we met each other in college, I'm gonna do like I said an entire video about how we
met so I'm gonna keep this very brief.
So we just went to the same college in 2010 is when we met and we also started dating
shortly after we met.
We met in school, he was an international student in the United States so that's how
we met.
So that's the end of the question and answer part 1 video.
I'm gonna be making part two for next week so stay tuned for that.
