Youtube daily report Nov 2 2017

Brian De Palma's "Carrie" turns the bullying, body shame, and the overwhelming emotions

of everyday teenage life into the stuff of horror.

"Please see that I'm not like you, Mama, I'm funny...

I mean, all the kids think I'm funny I don't wanna be.

I wanna be normal.

I wanna start to try me, a whole person before it's too late for me!"

You'd be hard-pressed to find a film that makes adolescence look worse.

But when you think about it, the movie isn't so far-fetched.

Carrie magnifies teenage life to show how teens can feel like they are monsters.

Horror movies realize our worst fears, and in adolescence, we're terrified of getting

rejected by our peers and puberty transforming our bodies beyond recognition.

The thing every teenager wants most is to control their classmates, their parents, and

their own rapidly changing bodies and emotions.

Carrie's telekinesis gives her this control.

So while her high school experience is way worse than the average teen's, she's also

much more powerful.

But the film shows us that when a hormonal teenager gets her way and resorts to mind

control instead of learning how to express herself, the result is disaster.

The film juxtaposes idealized scenes of teenage life with sudden violence.

every moment that looks like a perfect teen dream descends into a nightmare.

A game of gym class volleyball ends in vicious bullying.

And the feminine, sensual scene of Carrie showering accompanied by flute music becomes

harrowing when she gets her first period in the presence of her heartless classmates.

These sweetly innocent scenes that reveal their corrupted inner nature --

"Did you hear about Tommy Ross?"

"What?"

"He's taking Carrie White to the prom."

Show us that sugarcoated depictions of teenage life are a lie.

The film exposes every picture-perfect image as something much darker, from the beginning

through to the final scene, when we get a glimpse of Sue's dream.

This closing lovely, soothing fantasy turns again into a nightmare, ruining the sentimental

takeaway we thought we were getting.

Tommy's and Sue's good deed in inviting Carrie to prom is no competition for the popular

kids' cruelty.

"Did any of you ever stop to think that Carrie White has feelings?

Did Did any of you ever stop to think?"

The gym teacher, Miss Collins tries to protect Carrie.

"Carrie, let's think about this now.

I mean it might be terrific, you might have a really good time."

But even she believes that Tommy and Sue are playing a mean trick on the girl.

"Why'd Tommy ask her to the prom?"...

"Why?

What for?

What could you possible have in mind?"

We see that high school is a cynical, unkind world where all good deeds are suspect.

And the meanest behavior is rewarded as the cool kids impose what's essentially a reign

of terror.

The film builds from recognizable aspects of teenage life to capture how actual adolescence

can be as unpredictable, violent, and scary as a horror film.

Teens feel isolated and trapped and a surprise attack is always just around the corner.

The scene where Tommy and Carrie spin around during a dance at the prom should feel romantic,

but instead it makes us feel unsettled and sick.

The image visually represents the dizzying, overwhelming nature of adolescent experiences,

as the camera spins faster and faster, and Carrie asks a series of questions that receive

circular answers.

"Why am I here?"

"Because it's the prom."

"Why am I here with you?"

"Because I asked you."

"Why'd you ask me?"

"Cause I wanted to."

"Why'd you want to?"

The wholesome fun at the prom, which feels almost like an after-school special, is just

a setup for the terrible moment we know is coming.

We get a bird's eye shot of the bucket of pig's blood that mean girl Chris is going

to dump on Carrie, reminding us that our most special moments as youths can be spoiled in

an instant by our peers' cruelty.

Her mother's warnings about her peers -- which at first seemed over dramatic --

"He's gonna laugh at you.

They're all gonna laugh at you."

-- turn out to be spot on.

Evidently, in high school, we should be suspicious of everything as too good to be true.

The worst part is that before the bucket falls, we recognize that Carrie has actually started

to mature.

She resists her overbearing mother, accepts her telekinetic powers --

"There's nothing to do with Satan, Mama, it's me, me."

-- and forces herself to socialize and be a normal teenager.

Her first steps into adolescent life are so tentative and delicate that the suddenness

of the pig's blood attack really does seem like a violent injury.

The blood makes it look like Carrie's been wounded -- and she has.

Parallel scenes in the film before this also show Carrie waking up to the cruelty of this

world.

The pig's blood scene happens in front of all of Carrie's classmates, exaggerating

that universal high school fear of somehow winding up naked and vulnerable in front of

the whole school.

The primary colors in this scene are childish, just as Carrie is young and immature, and

has no idea how to deal with what she's facing.

The intensity of the opposing blue and red in the split screen visualizes that she's

torn in two directions, and the sharp contrast of the blood against a blue background also

shows her at odds with herself, out of her depth.

She has one foot in childhood and the the other in adulthood, and she's being ripped

apart.

The falling blood is a perverse baptism -- specifically teenage baptism -- as this deeply brutal high

school world has transformed a scared girl into a teen monster.

As teens, we desperately want to control the people whose opinions seem so important – to

have power over the popular kids in school – but the film shows what it would be like

if this desire were realized.

As Carrie uses her telekinetic powers to close the gym doors and kill everyone inside, she's

finally in control of the forces that have been bullying her, but actually getting this

control is terrible.

Red lighting and flames turn the decorated gym into hell, and Carrie is the ruler of

this world now -- she's no longer the prom queen she wanted to be.

She's the devil.

This is a body horror film, where the scariness comes from the human body itself.

Carrie shows us how women are taught to fear their bodies and see themselves as frightening

and even monstrous.

Film critic Barbara Creed's theory of "the monstrous feminine" says that women's ability

to horrify comes from their sexual, reproductive bodies.

Carrie reacts to her period almost like a feral child, totally unprepared for the behavior

of her adult female body because no one in her society has taught her that getting her

period is a normal, natural event.

"Help me!"

Most characters we meet are women, but other than Miss Collins, they show no real sense

of female kinship.

These women have learned to be disgusted by each other as much as by themselves.

"Shut up Chris.

Just shut up."

Carrie's mother, Margaret, is a religious fanatic who sees womanhood as inherently shameful.

"Help this sinning woman see the sin of her days and ways.

Show her that if she had remained sinless--"

"No!"

"-- the Curse of Blood would never have come on her.

She may have been tempted by the Antichrist.

She may have committed the Sin of Lustful Thoughts."

Margaret's repressive, misogynistic belief system indicts women for simply existing.

Margaret makes Carrie feel guilty and disgusted by her changing body.

"Pimples are the lord's way of chastising you."

And her sexuality.

"I can see your dirty pillows.

Everyone will."

"Breasts, mama.

They're called breasts.

And every woman has them."

But we come to see that Margaret's fear of sexuality actually comes from her confusion

at having enjoyed sex with Carrie's father, which she thinks was wrong.

"I liked it!

With all that dirty touching of his hands all over me."

When Margaret kneels in front of Carrie and confesses her shame for enjoying sex, it's

as if Carrie is the virgin Mary, a symbol of purity in her blue nightgown.

The family's threatening version of the Christ figure looks more scary than comforting.

And when Margaret stabs Carrie, it's clear that no woman can win in the confines of this

twisted worldview in which being female is an original sin.

The film shows us the damage of the mixed messages young women are sent -- to have sex

but not enjoy it, to have adult female bodies but not menstruate.

They're taught that being prom queen should be their ultimate goal -- but no girl should

ever really believe she'd be worthy of that crown, as the teens laugh at Carrie for getting

taken in by the hoax.

Hopefully most don't have a mom as bad as Margaret, the way Carrie is taught to fear

and despise her own body speaks to something universal in the teen girl experience.

As her abilities grow stronger, the fear and confusion she inspires could also be a commentary

on how women's developing emotions, like their bodies, tend to be treated as a distasteful

problem.

Carrie's telekinesis expresses the intense mood swings that teenagers and their parents

know all too well.

Her first telekinetic moment comes when she's overwhelmed and her feelings are stronger

than she is.

Throughout the film her powers get the best of her when she's angry or upset, so the

horror that results comes from her not learning how to properly express and deal with her

emotions.

We also see other teens not knowing how to deal with oversized emotions.

Chris is Carrie's tormentor, but she's also unsure of how to express herself and

ends up taking out her feelings on others.

Chris' constant rage seems confusing at first.

"Billy, I hate Carrie White."

"Who?"

We can't figure out why she hates Carrie so much -- but it may be that she sees Carrie

as a representation of the vulnerable or feminine parts of herself.

And by abusing Carrie, she's really trying to self-punish or to distance herself from

the traits she sees in Carrie.

And it's not just the girls -- any teenager's emotions can change suddenly and intensely.

For a horror movie monster, Carrie looks pretty frightened -- she's deeply afraid of herself.

Much of the power of the film comes from the fact that she's both the villain and the

victim in this horror movie.

We feel bad for her, even as she's becoming a mass murderer.

She finally starts to get revenge, but she still can't control her body or her emotions,

as we see when her telekinetic powers go completely haywire.

Even if we're well past Carrie's age, the film resonates with us because the traumas

of high school embarrassments and rejections never really leave us.

And it may disturb us to realize as we're watching that we identify more with Carrie

in the gym scene than we do with her peers.

Her revenge may be scary, but we also know that these bullies had it coming, and we feel

a catharsis of sorts.

Our ambivalent reaction to Carrie's transformation from victim to villain shows us that getting

even sometimes feels even more empowering than being crowned prom queen.

No more mistakes with MODALS! 3 Easy Rules - Duration: 9:57.

Hi. I'm Rebecca from engVid.

In this lesson you'll learn how to use modal verbs properly, and how to avoid making the

most common mistakes that students sometimes make when using these special helping verbs.

Now, even though modal verbs doesn't sound that exciting, when you see what they are

you'll realize that we use these verbs all the time, and so you need to know how to use

them correctly. Right? Okay.

So, let's look at what modal verbs are.

So, these are words that express different kinds of things.

For example, they might express ability, possibility, permission, obligation. Okay?

And some other things like that.

And they behave differently from regular verbs, and that's why they're sometimes a little

bit confusing.

But let's look at some examples of what modal verbs are.

"Can", "could", "may", "might", "should", "ought to", "must", "have to", "will", "shall",

and "would". Okay?

These are the most common ones.

All right.

So, I'm going to give you now three basic rules that you can follow to avoid most of

the mistakes that are usually made with the modal verbs. Okay?

So, first of all, make sure to use the modal verb as is.

That means don't change it in the present, or the past, or the future.

For example, we can say: "He can swim."

This is a correct sentence.

It would be wrong to say: "He cans swim."

Because, here, the student put an extra "s" there.

All right?

And we don't need to change that modal verb ever.

Okay? All right.

Second, use the base form of the verb after a modal.

Don't use "to".

What do I mean by that?

For example, you should say: "He might join us."

Not: "He might to join us."

Okay?

This is a really common error, so make sure you don't make this one.

So don't use the full infinitive to join after a word like "might".

Just use the base form of the verb, which is: "join".

"He might join us.", "He could join us.", "He should join us.", "He must join us." and

so on, without "to".

All right? Very good.

Now, the next point is if you need to, say, use the modal verb in the negative form, then

just use "not" after the modal.

All right?

Don't add any extra words most the time; there's one little exception, I'll explain that to

you, but for most of them, don't use words like: "don't", or "doesn't", or "isn't", "aren't",

"wasn't", "won't".

Okay?

So, with most of these modal verbs just say "not".

For example: "You should not smoke."

Not: "You don't should smoke."

All right?

So, here the student knows and learned all these lovely words: "don't", "doesn't", "isn't",

"aren't", all that and try to use it when using the modal verb, but that's wrong.

Okay?

So, the only exception is with the verb...

With the modal verb "have to", there if you want to make it negative, you need to say:

"You don't have to do this", okay?

But with the other ones, we just say: "You cannot", "You could not", "You may not", "You

might not", "You should not", "You ought not to", okay?

So there you have to be careful where to place it.

"You must not", this one I told you is an exception.

"You will not", "You shall not", and "You would not".

Okay?

And the other thing to keep in mind when you're using this word and "not", this is a really

common mistake, so the important thing to remember: This actually becomes one word.

Okay?

Only in that case.

You don't say...

You say: "cannot", but it's actually one word.

All right?

Most of the time, almost always "not" is a separate word with all of the modal verbs.

But not with "can".

With "can" it actually becomes one word: "I cannot arrive"-okay?-"on time", like that.

Okay?

So, now that you've got these basic rules and you've understood how it works, let's

do some practice to see how well you've understood.

Okay, so let's get started with our exercises.

Now, the rules are written at the top just in case you didn't remember them exactly.

First one, remember use it as it is, don't change the modal verb.

Second one, use with the base verb.

Don't use the full infinitive "to" something.

And the last one: Use "not" after the modals when it's negative.

Okay?

All right.

Try to keep those in mind, but most of all let's look at the actual examples and you

tell me what's wrong with them.

There is something wrong with each and every one of these sentences.

Okay.

Number one: "You must to finish your homework.

You must to finish your homework."

What's wrong there?

What did the person do wrong?

They added "to". All right?

This was our second rule.

Right?

You cannot use "to".

Just say: "You must finish your homework."

Okay?

That's it.

Number two: "I don't can drive. I don't can drive."

That's wrong.

What should it be?

"I cannot drive."

Okay?

That's what we said here in the third rule.

Right?

That just use "not" when it's negative.

All right?

And remember with the word "cannot", it's one word.

All right.

Number three: "You should not to smoke.

You should not to smoke."

What's wrong there?

Okay, again, we want to take out this "to".

The sentence should be: "You should not smoke."

So, again, you don't want to use the "to".

Just use the base form of the verb.

Don't use the full infinitive.

Okay, number four: "We not could call you.

We not could call you", some people say, but it's not right.

What should it be?

"We could not call you."

Remember?

"not" goes after the modal.

Okay? Not anywhere else.

Next: "He mights go to sleep.

He mights go to sleep."

It's not right.

It should be: "He might go to sleep."

Okay?

This was our rule number one, here, at the top.

And the rule was that we don't change anything.

Right?

We just say: "He might go to sleep."

We never change the modal.

Right.

Next, number six: "They can to stay with us."

Somebody says very kindly: "They can to stay with us."

It's a very kind suggestion.

It's not grammatically correct.

Let's make it correct.

What do we need to take out?

This, okay?

It should be just: "They can stay.", "They can go.", "They can leave.", "They can come."

Whatever.

But no "to".

All right?

So this was our rule number two.

Okay?

All right.

Number seven: "We would not to arrive on time.

We would not to arrive on time."

Again, you want to take out this "to".

And the reason why this keeps happening is because this is the most common mistake.

All right?

So that's why I have more of those here for you to review.

"We would not arrive on time."

Good.

And the last one: "She wills return soon.

She wills return soon."

Okay?

So what's wrong there?

The first rule up here, okay.

The rule says that the modal verb doesn't change, and here it did get changed, so we

have to take out the "s", and then it will become: "She will return soon."

which is correct.

Okay?

I know there are a few things to keep in mind, but the more you practice, the better you're

going to get at it.

While You Were Sleeping Ep 21 Engsub - Duration: 30:44.

(Episode 21)

Yes, hello?

Is this Lawyer Lee Yu Beom?

The lawyer who got Kang Dae Hee acquitted.

Yes, who is this?

Are you recording this call right now?

No, I'm not. Why do you ask?

You don't need to know.

I'd like to consult you about an urgent matter.

Then please make an appointment for tomorrow.

It will be too late by then.

Make some time for me now.

Look, who do you think you are to...

I'm writer Moon Tae Min.

I own four of your novels.

I would've brought them had I known I'd be seeing you today.

I'd love to get them signed by you.

Shall we get right to the point?

I'm starting to work on a new novel,

and I need to consult a lawyer.

My gosh, what an honor.

Is the protagonist a lawyer?

No.

A killer.

A killer?

What does that killer do for a living?

He's a writer and a professor.

A writer who's a professor.

Like you, right?

Why did you say that?

My apologies. All right.

Please tell me the storyline you're thinking of in detail.

The story begins at the writer's book launch party.

("Youth, Cheering for the Spring")

Gosh, thank you for coming.

- Yes. - This essay...

is about youth, which is a topic you've never written about before.

Did anything particular spark your interest in the topic?

As you know, I'm a writer, but I also teach students.

I couldn't stop thinking about those...

who are studying under difficult circumstances.

That's why I decided to donate 100 percent of my book sales...

to scholarship funds.

Yes, thank you.

(The Truth about Professor Moon Tae Min)

It looks like one of your students has a surprise gift for you.

Hello, I'm standing here before all of you today...

to reveal the truth about the man of the hour,

Professor Moon Tae Min.

This picture was used in the cover of our school magazine recently.

Professor Moon said he wants to jump with us until his knees break.

That afternoon,

we had to help him move until our knees failed us.

There's more. We even had to drive his son to school and pick him up...

and worked as parking attendants at his daughter's wedding.

- Using the thesis as... - Are you crazy?

- What are you doing right now? - Come down.

I want to disclose all of his wrongdoings...

- It's not true! - We apologize.

- I hurt my right arm due to him. - Stop it already!

- Move. No photos, please. - Why can't we take photos?

I criticized his thesis quite harshly.

I guess he'd been holding grudges because of it.

Are you drunk?

This is unacceptable even for a drunken rampage.

No, I'm completely sober now.

I guess you don't want to be published.

It looks like you want to leave this field for good.

That's right. I don't need to be published.

All I've learned is how to polish your shoes and clean your car.

What's the point of getting published?

I'm here as a teaching assistant, not as your slave.

You little...

I'm recording this conversation.

Go ahead and treat me the way you always do.

You rat.

How dare you!

Die, you punk!

What's this sound?

So out of anger, he strangled his teaching assistant,

who ended up falling through the elevator shaft due to the rebound.

Were there any witnesses?

I'm not sure.

He doesn't think that anyone witnessed it,

but there's one thing that bothers him.

He found a kid's hat on the floor,

but he's not sure whether it was already there,

or if someone dropped it when the incident took place.

What happened to the teaching assistant?

He got his head hurt, so he's fallen into a coma.

He's in the ICU, and all he can do is breathe.

We can't really say that he's alive.

Are you saying he's brain-dead?

Let's get the terminology straight first.

The protagonist of this story...

is not a killer.

The Criminal Code doesn't classify those who are brain-dead as dead.

Only cases of cardiac death are considered deaths.

Is that right?

It can be considered personal injury caused by negligence,

but even that's not really appropriate.

He could be deemed not guilty.

- Not guilty? - That's right.

If the protagonist and his lawyer come up with a good plan together,

he may be deemed not guilty.

You think so? That's great.

It looks like I came to the right person.

Bring me some coffee.

Is it because I feel relaxed now? I'm suddenly craving caffeine.

All of my staff have left for the day. We can go somewhere for coffee.

We need to awaken our brains in order to craft a plan.

It looks like you need to improve your firm's customer service.

Goodness, how can I provide better customer service than this?

What? What did you just say?

Let's be honest. You abused your power and killed that poor student.

Now, you're asking me to get you acquitted.

Know your place because you're a criminal now.

How dare you expect me to bring you coffee?

Hey, Lawyer Lee.

Your life is in my hands now.

In other words, I have more power than you.

Get your attitude straight.

If I talk to you nicely, you should do the same.

Don't forget that you're a criminal and behave yourself!

Repeat after me.

"Please help me, Lawyer Lee."

Please help me, Lawyer Lee.

Good. That was good.

Now, I feel motivated to work on the plan with you,

Mr. Moon.

I think that writer, Moon Tae Min, is a very scary person.

One of his teaching assistants caused a scene at his book launch,

saying that he wants to disclose all of his bad deeds,

but I could tell exactly what has been going on.

He has probably been abusing his power like crazy...

over his teaching assistants, using their grades as an excuse.

Gosh, I was a fan of his. I'm so disappointed.

All right, good. You interviewed his teaching assistant, right?

I was going to, but there was an accident.

What kind of accident?

I heard that he got drunk and fell through an elevator shaft.

He's in a coma now.

Of course it involves alcohol. Goodness.

Hey, newbie. Come here.

Everyone must be quite hungry. Go to the convenience store...

and pick up snacks that you like.

I want a fish cake bar.

I'm telling you. This hierarchical culture needs to be uprooted.

Being older doesn't give you all the power in the world.

How can you treat your co-worker like your servant?

You're talking to me, right?

No, I was talking about Mr. Moon.

Why, Du Hyun? Did it sound like I was talking about you?

Do you feel guilty?

No. Why would I...

Why are you holding my credit card?

Let's continue along with the meeting. Yes, thanks.

(Seogu University Hospital)

Are you ready to check out?

Yes, I'm almost ready to leave.

You guys came together.

You got the ring, right?

Yes.

Oh, we ran into each other in front of the hospital.

What? Have you decided to talk casually to each other?

Yes, it sort of happened.

Does that mean we can talk like that too?

No, we can't.

What is that based on?

You two talk like friends, and so do you guys.

But the two of you can't?

Gosh, cut it out. You brought my work ID card, right?

Of course. Here you go.

(Jung Jae Chan, Supreme Prosecutors' Office)

You see this, right? I am a prosecutor.

Yes, you are indeed.

What? That's it? You don't have anything else to say to me?

"I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I apologize for doubting you."

Shouldn't you say something like that?

Why are you being like this? Don't be so childish.

Yes, please stop. You're starting to embarrass me.

I'm sorry for doubting you.

But since you're a prosecutor, you shouldn't get the provisions...

in the Criminal Code mixed up...

or pester people to believe that you're a prosecutor...

when you don't even have any ID on you.

Pester... Hey, how dare you!

- You little... - Gosh, just let him go.

Everything he said is right.

Oh, that's right. He reminds me of you.

From how rude he is to the way he looks, he's just like you as a kid.

Stop spewing nonsense!

My gosh. Hey, kid!

Hey, kid.

Doctor, we need help here. A kid just fainted. Doctor!

(Intensive Care Unit)

What happened to him?

Is he okay?

Yes. He's getting emergency dialysis now, so he'll be okay.

Dialysis?

Yes, he's suffering from chronic renal failure.

He's been receiving dialysis for five years.

I think he has a lot of toxins built up inside. He's quite swollen too.

For five years? He's so young though.

We're running out of veins to puncture.

A transplant is the only way to cure him,

but we can't find any donor. It's very frustrating.

I shouldn't have let him drink.

I'm really sorry.

He never caused any trouble when he got drunk in the past.

I had no idea that he'd get himself into an accident like this.

Gosh, please don't apologize.

You took time out of your busy schedule to come here.

I really appreciate it.

Please don't say that. Of course I should visit him.

He's my favorite student.

Thank you.

Oh, Doctor. Hwan's surgery went well, right?

His brain was already severely damaged when he got here.

He couldn't even breathe on his own.

You should mentally prepare yourself for the worst-case scenario.

Gosh.

My gosh, Mr. Lee. Mr. Lee.

Chan Ho.

Mommy is here.

Chan Ho.

Chan Ho...

(Episode 21: To Die or to be Bad)

(Episode 21: To Die or to be Bad)

Thanks for the ride.

Where will you stay while you recover? Will you just stay home?

Or will you stay at Hong Joo's place like I did?

He should stay home, of course.

Why inconvenience other people when he has a home?

And you are fully recovered.

You're feeling great, right?

No, I'm not feeling great.

I'm not fully recovered yet. It still hurts here.

Then you should stay at my place for a few days like Woo Tak did.

I'll look after...

Gosh, no. That'd be too shameless.

Woo Tak deserved to be looked after you,

- but Jae Chan doesn't. - Why not?

Did you get injured while trying to rescue Hong Joo like Woo Tak did?

Well, no. But I was...

Do you live alone like Woo Tak does?

No, I live with you. But I'm...

You're not that useful.

- That's why... - I'll try to be useful.

Let me look after you, okay?

Thanks for everything today, guys.

Let's go, Jae Chan. Don't inconvenience them anymore.

Hey, Seung Won.

Let's go to my place.

I've experienced this, so I'm sure I'll be better than you.

You're okay with staying at my place, right?

Well, shall I?

- Jae Chan, Jae Chan. - Bye.

Jae Chan, wait. Jae Chan.

Why can't he take a hint?

Don't you think you're the one who can't take a hint?

What did I do?

They found out that they had actually met 13 years ago.

Just leave them alone so that they can catch up.

Thank you.

I'm sorry you went through that.

I'll look after Prosecutor Jung.

You should go tidy up your room.

He needs to take his medication and...

I'll make sure he takes his medication. Go tidy up your room.

If he sees your room, he'll get disgusted and faint.

It's not even messy.

This abalone porridge is really good.

How long are you planning on staying here?

Two days will be enough, right?

Oh, yes. That's definitely enough.

Where did it go?

I know that I put it somewhere here.

He'll be so disappointed if he finds out that I lost it.

Can I come in?

Yes, come in.

Gosh, it's a lot messier than I imagined it to be.

No, no. It's usually not this messy.

I was just looking for something.

What?

You don't need to know.

Sit here. Let me take your temperature.

Okay.

Well...

Hong Joo, do you not like the ring I gave you?

I do. I really like it.

Then why don't you wear it?

I'm worried about what my co-workers might think,

and my mom might also get the wrong idea if she sees it.

I'll wear it when I'm just with you.

Promise me.

Okay.

The fever is almost gone.

I'll dress your wound for you tomorrow morning.

You sound like a doctor now.

I got some practice with Woo Tak, you know.

Did you take his temperature and dress his wound too?

Yes.

Why do you ask? Does it bother you?

Are you jealous? Is that it?

No, not at all. Not even one bit.

You didn't have to deny it so strongly.

Hong Joo, what are you doing?

You're keeping him up. Come out already.

All right.

Good night. Tell me if you need anything.

Okay, thanks.

Why isn't your fever going down?

It must be because you make my heart flutter.

Your abs are rock-hard. How did the knife even penetrate them?

Stop it. You're tickling me.

I'll teach you a lesson.

- Don't do that. - You guys are being ridiculous.

Gosh, seriously. I shouldn't have come here.

Goodness, I should've just stayed home.

Mom, have you seen my ring by any chance?

The one Jae Chan gave me as a gift.

No, I haven't. Did you lose it?

I know I put it on my dressing table, but I can't find it.

Why are you applying it so carefully? You're just going to bed.

Just slap it on and go to sleep.

No, my skin is overly sensitive these days. What if I break out?

Jae Chan is staying with us too.

I heard that you and Prosecutor Jung had actually met 13 years ago.

Do you feel more attached to him now that you know about it?

Why? Do you want me to feel more attached to him?

No, I don't want that to happen.

Well, we might get closer. You never know.

And with time, we might...

No, I don't want that.

I don't want you guys to get closer even later on.

Hello.

We checked what you asked us to look into.

Your son did register his consent to be an organ donor.

See? I knew it.

You should be proud of your son.

Hwan, did you hear that?

Your doctor complimented you.

Please let us know when you decide on the date.

The day after tomorrow.

It's...

his...

birthday.

Okay.

Kidney donation?

It hasn't been confirmed yet,

but there's a brain-dead patient who can be a donor.

We'll have to do the antibody test first. If the types match,

Chan Ho will be able to get a kidney transplant.

Thank you.

Thank you so much.

What are you talking about?

Gosh... Who killed my son?

You said that scumbag killed my son.

We can't get him because no autopsy was done?

How can the law be so unfair?

What should we do, Robin?

Gosh, how should I bring it up to him?

Just to catch that one man, you killed...

You killed seven people.

Tell me. Is this the kind of justice you believe in?

Do you think this is just?

<font color="#80ffff">[VIU Ver] E21 While You Were Sleeping "To Die or to be Bad"</font> <font color="#ff80ff">-= Ruo Xi =-</font>

What should I tell him?

Stop sighing. Do you hate recycling that much or what?

Did something happen?

I had a bad dream.

I was thinking about how I should bring it up.

What? Me too.

Was it about Jae Chan by any chance?

Yes. You too?

Yes. Did you also see him quitting his job?

You saw that too?

Yes.

It's cold.

What are they doing there? Why aren't they coming in?

We should tell Jae Chan. It'll happen to him.

What will change if we tell him?

There's nothing he can change even if he knows about it in advance.

He'll at least be able to run away from it.

Then what? Someone else will have to deal with it if he runs away.

Will you run away knowing that? Do you think you can do it?

- No. - Jae Chan is like you.

He won't run away if he knows about it.

So, you better not tell him.

I'll make him run away.

How?

The bus is here.

Aren't we getting on?

No, I'm not going to work.

I'll skip work today.

Why?

Because it's an unbelievably gorgeous day.

There's no fine dust. And you're off too.

I don't want to work on a day like this.

So? Where do you want to go?

Du Hyun, I'm sorry.

I'm using my vacation day today because the weather is so nice.

The nice weather must've made her lose her mind.

What is wrong with Hong Joo?

Darn it.

Did you pull another all-nighter?

Yes.

Hasn't everyone in our department been pulling all-nighters?

To cover for someone.

Hey, it's not like Mr. Jung wants to take a hiatus.

I'm sure he knows how much work we have to do to cover for him.

Then he should come back soon.

I'm sure he's uncomfortable about taking time off too.

That poor guy.

Hey.

Come here. Let's take a selfie together.

Gosh, amazing. That's such a great photo.

My gosh! We look so cute in it.

My goodness, you're too cute.

My cutie-pie, you're so adorable.

- You're just too cute, my puppy. - I know, right?

- My gosh, that's so cute! - Does it look good?

Yes, it's really cute. Oh, my.

What an eyesore, don't you think?

- Let's take another one. - Actually, I brought you flowers.

Seriously? I'm so touched. My gosh.

- Thank you. - How beautiful.

Where did you go? Get back in the frame.

Come closer.

This is for you.

I can't even tell you apart from the flowers.

You like beer. It's made from this.

Right, thanks.

Hey, where are you going?

Shall we go to the beach tomorrow?

It's been at least five years since I last saw the ocean.

I'll be going back to work tomorrow though.

Just skip it, like I did today.

Will something happen to me tomorrow?

What?

What are you talking about?

I overheard your conversation with Woo Tak this morning.

You said you saw something in your dream.

Just tell me. Why do you want me to run away?

You must make a choice,

a very difficult one.

If what I saw in my dream actually happens,

you'll do an inspection as soon as you return to work tomorrow.

A brain-dead patient who supposedly got a head injury in an accident.

But during your inspection,

you find out that his injury was not caused by an accident.

It wasn't an accident?

Does that mean somebody hurt him intentionally?

Yes. So, you decide to do an autopsy...

and end up catching the culprit.

Then what's the problem?

That brain-dead victim...

pledged to be an organ donor.

Because you decide to do an autopsy,

he can no longer donate his organs.

So, seven patients who have been waiting on transplants...

Do they die?

Yes.

The shock from that makes you...

quit your job as a prosecutor.

What if I don't do the autopsy?

Wouldn't I be able to catch the culprit without it?

Woo Tak had a dream too,

and that's what you did in his dream.

You chose to give up the autopsy...

so that you can save the seven people's lives, but...

(Hakdong Kindergarten)

The culprit gets acquitted with an innocent verdict...

as the cause of death...

can't be conclusively determined without an autopsy.

The victim's father resents you a lot for everything,

so after beating yourself up...

I quit my job as a prosecutor.

Yes.

Any information on the victim? You don't know who he is?

I didn't see him in my dream.

If I do the autopsy, seven people will die.

If I forgo it, I'll save seven people's lives,

but the culprit gets off scot-free.

Hence, whether I do the autopsy or not,

I'll end up leaving the prosecution.

I guess you wanted me to run away...

because I'll regret either way.

Gosh, that's really awful.

Indeed. It is really awful.

Let's go to the beach tomorrow.

- Seriously? - Yes.

I want to run away.

Okay, we'll go.

I know that I'm being a coward, but I still want to run away.

I don't want to leave the prosecution for the life of me.

Right, I'm sure you don't want to quit.

Then what? Someone else will have to deal with it if he runs away.

Will you run away knowing that? Do you think you can do it?

Of course. I can totally do that.

Jae Chan is like you. He won't run away if he knows about it.

Wrong. I will run away.

Whether it gets dumped on someone or not, I don't care.

Woo Tak and I are essentially different.

My conscience has such low standards.

That's good.

We must know our places.

Excuse me, sir. Would you mind taking a picture of us?

Yes, I do mind! Why should I take a picture for complete strangers?

You saw that, right? I'll do and say whatever I want from now on.

How obnoxious. That little...

Let's go, baby. I'll treat you to barbecue. Don't let it get to you!

Okay, I won't.

I think your brother is a good prosecutor.

What are you talking about? That's so random.

He proved Do Hak Young's innocence and got him acquitted.

Hey, he just did what he had to do.

Teachers teach students,

the President protects the people,

and prosecutors only prosecute those who committed crimes.

Just doing his duty doesn't make him a good prosecutor.

It's not always easy to do that though.

I learned that from my dad.

My dad was a doctor,

but meeting an ill-intentioned prosecutor...

turned him into a serial killer.

Who's that prosecutor?

You wouldn't know him.

He alters witness statements and fabricates evidence.

That's how he turns innocent people into criminals.

My gosh. You're a lucky man, Mr. Moon.

The hospital staff told me that Lee Hwan...

will donate his organs soon.

That means there will be no autopsy, right?

It'll be game over if they can't do an autopsy.

It'll be concluded as an accidental death.

Don't worry too much even if the case goes to trial.

It'll be easy to get you acquitted as there are many gray areas.

I totally trust you.

Mr. Moon, you should try to find the owner of that hat.

That worries me the most.

Okay, I will.

One of the Best Autumn Spots in Japan, Lake Towada | japan-guide.com - Duration: 4:58.

Autumn is one of the most beautiful times to visit Japan.

In the whole country one of the most spectacular

areas to view the fall colors is around Lake Towada in northern Japan

which sits on the border of Akita and Aomori prefectures

The trees around this picturesque caldera lake as well as along the nearby

Oirase Stream are usually most vibrant in late October

which just so happens to be when were visiting

I'm Sam Evans staff writer for japan-guide.com

and today I'm fortunate enough to be on assignment reporting on the fall colors from around Lake Towada

Here's the plan

After taking the shinkansen to Hachinohe Station

we'll take a bus to the Ishigedo bus stop

From here we'll hike along the Oirase Stream where hopefully the fall colors will be at their peak

Once at the lake we'll take a scenic ferry ride from Nenokuchi to the a quaint town of Yasumiya

where we will explore a bit before ending the day at a traditional Japanese style inn.

So follow along because we spend the day admiring the autumn beauty of Towada

So we've just arrived at Ishigedo one of the main stops along the Oirase Stream

Now the is a stream is one of the most famous places in the area well known for its autumn colors

It looks like we've got kind of lucky today there seems to be a buzz of activity

lots of people and the colors look great

So let's go in walk along the stream and see what we can find

So we finished the hike, but now we're across the water from the town of Yasumiya

where we'll be spending the night

So we're going to get the ferry behind me

and it's going to provide us with some unique scenes of all this beautiful autumn color

So all the board

So we've just landed in Yasumiya after a very picturesque crossing

and now we're going to go into the town and find our accommodation for the night

and with this our day comes to an end

If you're traveling in Japan during autumn be sure to head over to japan-guide.com

where you'll find daily reports on the fall color conditions from around the country

like the one I made today in Towada

Cool and partly cloudy day, chillier air on the way _ 110217 - Duration: 1:45.

Good morning.

Temperatures will be slightly higher than yesterday, hovering way above the seasonal

averages in Seoul and most parts of the country.

Even the lows are kicking off in the double digits.

For a closer look at today's temperatures.

Seoul and Daegu will top out at 19 degrees Celsius,... while Gwangju and Jeju will get

up to 20 degrees.

But be aware that upper regions, including Seoul, will see light showers in the afternoon.

We have more rain in the forecast for Friday morning.

We'll see heavier showers on Friday though.

That band of rain will bring colder air to the nation.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

While most regions in South Korea will have cloudy skies with some light showers in upper

parts, North Korea will be sunny or cloudy depending on the region.

As for major cities in Asia,..

Tokyo and Beijing will have brighter skies than Seoul with highs of 21 and 19 degrees

respectively.

Meanwhile, those of you in Melbourne will have a wet Thursday and sunshine will return

this weekend.

Heading to North America, Montreal will have a chilly and rainy Thursday with a single

digit high of 7 degrees.

As for South America, Rio de Janeiro and Santiago will see sunnier skies.

Taking you to Europe,...winter is in full swing in Moscow with an expected high only

reaching around the freezing mark under cloudy skies.

Lastly to Africa, major cities will be under mostly sunny skies with warm highs.

That's all the weather update for now.

Papa John's CEO Bitter Over NFL Protests - Duration: 5:02.

THE CEO OF PAPA JOHN'S IS TRYING TO EXPLAIN WHY IT IS THAT

THEIR THIRD-QUARTER EARNINGS WERE NOT SO GREAT.

IN

FACT:

HE SHOULD'VE JUST SQUASHED IT

IMMEDIATELY AND STOPPED THE

PLAYERS FROM KNEELING AND THAT IS THE WHOLE REASON WHY PEOPLE

ARE NOT BUYING HIS PIZZA.

THIS GUY IS A REPUBLICAN.

HE PALS AROUND WITH PEYTON MANNING.

YOU KNOW I FEEL ABOUT THAT AND THIS IS THE SAME PARTY THAT

BELIEVES IN PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

IT IS SO GOOD.

IT IS NOT THAT MY PIECE OF SOCKS OR THAT THE ONLY REASON

THAT PEOPLE BUY IT IS BECAUSE OF THE TOXIC GARLIC BUTTER

THAT WE ALL SEEM TO ENJOYED OUR.

IT IS SO GOOD THOUGH.

I'M GOING TO BE HONEST ON THIS WITH THE AUDIENCE, I LIKE

PAPA JOHN'S PIZZA, NOT THE CEO.

OUR JOB IS TO BE HONEST AND I DO NOT LIKE THE PIZZA AT ALL.

IT IS SUPER MEDIOCRE, BUT THE BUTTER.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS IN THE BUTTER.

IT IS NOT BUTTER.

BUT IT IS GOOD.

ANYWAY SO LOOK INTO MAKING YOUR PIZZA

BETTER OR MAYBE YOUR BUSINESS PRACTICES.

NO, NEVER PERSONAL

RESPONSIBILITY.

IT IS THOSE DAMN AFRICAN-AMERICAN PLAYERS

WHO CARE ABOUT GETTING SHOT BY COPS WRONGLY.

IF ONLY THEY

WOULD STOP GETTING SHOT.

THEY WANT TO STOP GETTING SHOT.

WHY DON'T THEY

JUST SHUT UP COMPLAINING ABOUT INJUSTICE AND HOW PEOPLE

ARE GETTING KILLED IN THE WRONG WAYS.

YOU ARE COSTING ME PIZZA SALES.

HERE'S WHAT I WANT TO KNOW.

IS THERE ANYTHING THAT BLACK PEOPLE WON'T GET BLAMED FOR?

ALL OF A SUDDEN, THEY ARE THE REASON WHY PAPA JOHN'S IS NOT

SELLING AS MANY PIZZAS AS IT WANTS TO OR SHOULD.

IT IS

AMAZING.

SO LET ME GIVE ME THE CEO'S EXACT QUOTES DURING THIS

CONFERENCE CALL.

HE SAID:

THAT'S IT, I AM DONE WITH PAPA JOHN'S.

I'M SERIOUS.

I DID THE

CHICK-FILA-A BAN BECAUSE VIEWS ON LGBT COMMUNITY.

THERE A LOT OF PEOPLE I FOUND THAT ARE SECRETLY WATING THERE

BUT I'VE HELD STRONG.

AND I AM A MAN THAT CARES ABOUT FOOD.

YOU

ARE GOING TO BLAME PEOPLE RIGHTFULLY LOOKING TO CHANGE THE

JUSTICE SYSTEM SO IT IS MORE JUST TO ALL AMERICANS FOR

YOUR LACK OF BUSINESS SENSE?

KNOW, YOU ARE PUTTING ALL OF YOUR AD ON TV.

YOU ARE

OVERPAYING PEYTON MANNING AND THE TV NETWORKS AND NOT THAT

MANY PEOPLE ARE WATCHING TV ANYMORE BUT YOU ARE TOO STUPID

TO FIGURE OUT DIGITAL SO YOU RELY, I DO NOT KNOW.

LET'S DO WHAT ALL REPUBLICANS DO.

LET'S BLAME BLACK PEOPLE.

WHY DO THEY CARE ABOUT JUSTICE SO MUCH WHEN THEY SHOULD BE

FORCED TO BUY OUR PIZZAS.

THERE'S ONE OTHER FACTOR THAT I THINK WE'RE MISSING.

THIS IS

NOT A PAID SPONSORSHIP SO I AM NOT DOING THIS AS AN AD.

I WANT TO

BE CLEAR.

DOMINO'S STEPPED UP ITS GAME.

DOMINO'S IS DELICIOUS AND MY FAVORITE PIZZA CHAIN IN THE

COUNTRY.

I THINK THE LINE IS THAT HE THINKS BECAUSE THERE IS BOYCOTT

ON THE NFL BECAUSE OF WHY PEOPLE, BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE

ONLY PEOPLE WHO EAT HIS PIZZAS, THEY ARE NOT WATCHING THE NFL

BECAUSE OF THE BOYCOTTS, THE KNEELING IS TURNING OFF ALL MY

WHITE CUSTOMERS IN ALL MY WHY CUSTOMERS ARE SEEING MY ADS

ANYMORE DURING FOOTBALL GAMES AND NOW THAT NOT BUYING MY

PIZZAS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT REMINDED BY MY PIZZAS

ANYMORE BUT THEN YOU HAVE FOLKS THAT ARE ALSO BOYCOTTING

THE OTHER WAY AND THEY'RE NOT WATCHING BECAUSE OF HOW

COLIN KAEPERNICK GOT OUSTED SO IS THAT THE CUSTOMERS WHO ARE

IN SUPPORT OF COLIN KAEPERNICK'S PROCESS THAT ARE NOT BUYING YOUR

PROCESS CLUSTER KNOW, HE THINKS ONE-SIDED DIONYSIUS THESE FOLKS.

MY LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT WATCHING THE NFL, THAT

ARE NOT BUYING MY PIZZA SO THEREFORE THEY SHOULDN'T THIS

IN THE BUTT AND NOT ALLOW THEM TO WATCH MY COMMERCIALS ANYMORE.

SO WHETHER YOU WANT TO JOIN MY ONE-MAN BOYCOTT OR NOT,

I WOULD SAY THIS.

PAPA JOHN'S CLEARLY CARES MUCH MORE ABOUT THEIR PIZZA

SALES THAN THEY DO ABOUT THE INJUSTICE THAT

AFRICAN-AMERICANS LIVE WITH ON A DAILY BASIS.

OR FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

AND ABOUT IS YOUR PRIORITY, THEN GO AHEAD AND BUY PAPA

JOHN'S BUT IF YOUR PRIORITIES ARE JUSTICE FOR ALL AMERICANS

AND YOU SEE HOW INDIFFERENT THIS COUNTRY IS TO THAT AND HOW THEY

ARE BLAMING YOU FOR THEIR OWN PROBLEMS, THEN IT IS NOT A

COMPANY WOULD ONCE GIVE MY MONEY TO.

Donald Trump Jr. Anti-Socialist Halloween Tweet Backfires - Duration: 8:23.

HALLOWEEN HAPPENED.

IT JUST HAPPENED AND OF COURSE YOU CAN

ALWAYS RELY ON THE TRUMP FAMILY TO RUIN A GOOD THING OR AT LEAST

ATTEMPT TO AND DONALD TRUMP JUNIOR DID SO BY EXPLOITING HIS

OWN DAUGHTER AND POSTING THE PHOTO ON TWITTER TALKING ABOUT

SOCIALISM THAT MADE NO SENSE AT ALL.

CASE IN POINT.

OKAY.

THE CANDY WAS A HANDOUT.

YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT SOCIALISM?

THAT IS ALL YOU GUYS HAVE EVER KNOWN.

ALL YOU HAVE EVER

KNOWN IS HANDOUTS.

HANDOUTS FROM YOUR FAMILY, GIVING YOU ALL

OF THE WEALTH THAT YOU HAVE INHERITED.

THAT IS A HANDOUT.

GETTING CANDY FROM INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE KIND ENOUGH, NICE ENOUGH

TO GIVE A TREATS JUST SO THEY DON'T GET THAT TRICK.

THAT IS A

HANDOUT.

SHE DIDN'T WORK OUT FOR THE CANDY.

SHE IS A KID

FIRST OF ALL, THOUGH USER KIT FOR THESE POINTS, IT'S

DISGUSTING BUT SECONDLY, THIS IS NOT THE CASE HERE.

LET'S EXPLAIN A LITTLE MORE.

YOUR DADDY INHERITED $200

MILLION FROM HIS DADDY.

CONGRATULATIONS ON ALL THE HARD

WORK.

DONALD TRAVIS CLEARLY NOT THE TRUTH ABOUT AS WELL BUT EVEN

IF HE WAS, ESTIMATE SHOW THAT IF ALL HE HAD DONE IS PUT THAT

MONEY THAT HE INHERITED FROM HIS DAD, ACTUALLY A WAY LOWER

ESTIMATE OF WHAT HE INHERITED, AND THE STOCK MARKET HE WOULD

HAVE MORE MONEY NOW AND REMEMBER, HE BANKRUPTED

THEMSELVES SIX TIMES.

YOUR HALLOWEEN ANALOGY, YOUR

GRANDFATHER GAVE YOUR DAD A GIANT BUCKET OF

CANDY AND YOUR DAD DUMPED IT OUT SIX DIFFERENT TIMES IN THE

STREETS LIKE I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE CANDY WENT?

AND THEN INSTEAD GIVE THEM EVEN MORE MONEY AND HE WOULD'VE HAD

MORE CANDY IF HE HAD DONE RIGHT.

AND THEN YOUR DAD GAVE YOU

CANDY IN THIS ANALOGY BUT YOU WERE BORN ON THIRD BASE AND

THOUGHT YOU KICKED A FIELD GOAL.

I AM SO GOOD THAT I LIKE

SOCIALIST, I LIKE CAPITALISTS WHO INHERIT MONEY FROM THEIR

DADS.

YOU MUST BE SO PROUD.

AND BY THE WAY, IT IS NOT ABOUT SOCIALISM OR NOT, IT IS

ABOUT TEACHING YOUR KIDS TO DO DECENT THINGS.

LIKE SHARE.

I FEEL LIKE EVERY GOOD PARENT WANTS TO TEACH THEIR KIDS HOW TO

SHARE BUT THEY LIKE NO, KEEP THAT CANDY FOR YOURSELF.

YOU

WORKED REALLY HARD TO EARN IT.

BY THE WAY, JK ROWLING HAD THE

FOR PERFECT RESPONSE TO THIS.

SHE SAID:

SO GOOD.

YOU KNOW WHAT THE DECENT THING IS?

I DON'T GET INTO HIS KIDS, BUT WHAT WE DO IS, WE SAY YOU SAY

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, TRICK-OR-TREAT.

THAT IS THE OFFICIAL RIGHT WAY

TO ASK FOR CANDY ON HALLOWEEN AND THEN AFTERWARD YOU SAY THANK

YOU TO EVERY PERSON TO GIVE YOU CANDY AND THEN AFTER THAT,

THE PUBLIC SCHOOL THAT OUR KIDS ARE GOING TO HAVE A PROGRAM

WHERE THEY DONATE TO THE NEEDY.

YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DO THAT?

IT'S NOT ABOUT SOCIALISM OR CAPITALISM.

IS ABOUT BEING A

HALFWAY DECENT PERSON IN TEACHING YOUR KIDS TO BE HALFWAY

TO PERSON.

WE TALK ABOUT IT ALL THE TIME.

YOU HAVE TO BE

GRATEFUL.

LOOK AT ALL THESE WONDERFUL THINGS THAT YOU HAVE

IN SOME PEOPLE DON'T HAVE IT AND WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO SHARE

THAT WITH THEM AND BRING THEM JOY AND WITH GIVEN SOME OF THEIR

TOYS AWAY TO JUST FRIENDS AND WE TALK ABOUT THE JOY THAT THEY HAD

ON THEIR FACE WHEN THEY GOT IT ETC.

YOU SOUND LIKE A TERRIBLE PARENT.

SOCIALISM.

NO, IT IS BEING DECENT.

BY THE WAY, IF YOU ARE

ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT TAXES AND HOW IT GOES, AND THAT ANALOGY

THE GOVERNMENT TAKES THAT CANDY AND THEN BUILDS BRIDGES AND

ROADS AND SCHOOLS AND SCHOOL SO OTHER KIDS CAN HAVE A

CHANCE OF GETTING CANDY TOO.

ALL OF THIS IS ALWAYS, THESE DISCUSSIONS AND THESE DEBATES

ARE ALWAYS SO FASCINATING TO ME BECAUSE IT STARTS WITH THESE

CONCEIVED NOTION THAT EVERY DOLLAR, EVERY PENNY YOU PAY IN

TAXES IMMEDIATELY GETS REDISTRIBUTED TO A LAZY BUM OR A

GROUP OF LAZY BUMS WHO REFUSE TO DO WORK AND WANT TO MOOCH OFF

THE SYSTEM WHEN IN REALITY IF YOU LOOK AT THE BUDGET, A

FRACTION OF THE BUDGET GOES TO THESE PROGRAMS, CUTS IN FUNDING

TO HELP THE POOR.

WE NEVER HAVE DISCUSSIONS ABOUT CORPORATE

WELFARE OR HOW WE PURPOSEFULLY INTENTIONALLY INVADE OTHER

COUNTRIES AND STAR WARS TO GIVE PRIVATE CONTRACTORS GIANT

CONTRACT SO THEY CAN GO OFF AND MAKE THEIR WEAPONS, DO THEIR

DRONE STRIKES, WHATEVER IT IS THEY WANT TO DO TO PROFIT

HANDSOMELY OFF US TAXPAYERS.

THAT IS THE TYPE OF WELFARE I

WOULD LIKE TO GO AFTER AND ANOTHER THING, DIFFERENT IN LIKE

THEY DON'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ANY OF THE THINGS THAT ARE BUILT

THROUGH TAXPAYER MONEY.

THE ROADS, THE BRIDGES, THEY PRETEND

AS THOUGH THEY NEVER USE THOSE THINGS.

THEY PRETEND AS THOUGH

THEY LIVE IN THIS FANTASY PRIVATIZED WORLD WHERE ALL OF

THOSE INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS NEVER BENEFITED THEM ONCE IN

THEIR LIVES.

I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS JUST IGNORANCE OR PRETENDING

LIKE YOU DO NOT KNOW BECAUSE YOU ARE TRYING TO PASS OFF THIS

RIDICULOUS TALKING POINT THAT MAKES NO SENSE.

I DO NOT KNOW.

IT IS INSATIABLE GREED AND THIS CLOWN HAS NEVER BOTHERED TO

FIGURE OUT, HOW WHATEVER ANYBODY GETS IT TRUMP TOWER IF THE

GOVERNMENT HADN'T BUILT A ROAD OR ALL THE BRIDGES AND TUNNELS

INTO MANHATTAN?

LET'S TAKE THOSE AWAY AND SEE HOW TRUMP TOWER DOES, BUT

HE DOES NOT CARE BECAUSE HE GREW UP IN A BUBBLE WHERE YOU

ARE AWESOME FOR BEING RICH.

RICH PEOPLE ARE GREAT AND AS TRUMP RECENTLY SAID, WHY

WOULD I WANT POOR PEOPLE IN MY CABINET?

BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT GOOD.

BUT PEOPLE ARE BAD RICH PEOPLE ARE GREAT I DOESN'T MATTER

ABOUT THE MONEY.

IT REMINDS ME OF THE STUDY WE TALKED ABOUT COUPLE OF YEARS AGO

AND YOU GUYS SHOULD GO BACK AND WATCH IT.

IF I REMEMBER IT

CORRECTLY IT WAS A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO WERE PLAYING A GAME

THAT WAS VERY OBVIOUSLY RIGGED.

THEY KNEW IT WAS RIGGED AND SO

ONE GROUP WOULD CONSTANTLY WIN IN THIS GAME KNOWING THAT IT WAS

RIGGED, IT WAS SLANTED IN THEIR FAVOR AND AS THEY CONTINUED TO

PLAY THE GAME AND WHEN MORE AND MORE, THEY GOT THIS WEIRD SENSE

OF ENTITLEMENT.

THEY STARTED CRUNCHING ON THEIR SNACKS LOUDLY

AND YELLING AND THEY WERE SUPER BOASTFUL AND THEY HAD THE SENSE

OF ENTITLEMENT AS IT THOUGH THEY EARNED IT.

THEY ARE MORE

TALENTED OR SKILLED THAN THE OTHER PLAYER BUT AGAIN, FOR THE

BILLIONTH TIME.

THEY KNEW IT WAS RIGHT AND IT DID NOT MATTER.

THEY SOMEHOW CONVINCED THEMSELVES THAT THEY WERE

BETTER.

IT IS HUMAN NATURE.

IT'S NOT JUST TO BLAME IT ON REPUBLICANS.

THE GAME WAS MONOPOLY IN THAT STUDY AND THEY HAD MORE MONEY TO

BEGIN WITH BUT THEY KEPT SAYING, I AM REALLY GOOD AT THIS.

LOOK,

I CATCH MYSELF DOING IT BUT AT LEAST WE KNOW ENOUGH TO CATCH

OURSELVES.

IN FANTASY FOOTBALL THIS WEEK I WON EVEN THOUGH I

HAD THE SECOND LOWEST CORE IN THE LEAGUE.

I WAS SUPER LUCKY,

I JUST BUT THE GUY WITH THE LOWEST SCORE BUT I, SO GOING

MAN, I STARTED THE RIGHT QUARTERBACK.

NICE JOB.

JUST

LUCK.

AND NO ONE IS LUCKIER THAN DONALD TRUMP JUNIOR BUT HE

DOES NOT KNOW IT.

FINALLY I LOVE ANA'S POINT ABOUT THE

CANDY.

HE HAD 100 PIECES OF CANDY.

IF YOU GIVE AWAY 50, ONE

OR TWO OF THOSE CANDIES WOULD'VE GONE TO THE POOR OR

MIDDLE-CLASS.

7 TO LOCKHEED MARTIN, FOUR TO OIL

COMPANIES FOR SUBSIDIES, 37 TO THE BANKS FOR THE BAILOUT.

IT'S ACTUALLY CORPORATE SOCIALISM WHERE THEY PRIVATIZE

THE GAINS AND SOCIALIZE THE LOSSES ON TO THE REST OF US.

THAT IS THE REAL PROBLEM.

Homelessness Helps my Poverty: S1 Ep #4 Victim Mentality - Duration: 16:50.

I am a victor! Romans 8:31 says we are more than conquerors in Christ who loves

us so check this out oh by the way Paula my name is Liberty

beam justice and there's no period in my weeks my victories never end and yours

don't have to either my friends huh best wife ever here Liberty be justice

reminding you that you are worth it Valdes mucho okay so remember last

episode of how homelessness heals my poverty and ten things I can't put into

my bank account I said homelessness didn't happen to me I happened to

homelessness well things don't happen to Liberty V I happen to think and that

reminds me of another quote that has been instrumental and getting me to act

and do the things outside the box and think of things another way so I'm here

to retrain HOLLA! yo brain! so check it out "People are always blaming their

circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. the people who

get on in this world are the ones who look for the circumstances they want and

if they can't find them they create them" George Bernard Shaw sorry but George

Bernard Shaw said that. okay and Bob Proctor taught me that on his "Born Rich"

program. okay so I recommend to watch Bob Proctor "Born Rich" anything by Bob

Proctor okay? and anything by Joel Olsteen okay ?so now going back now when

I changed my thinking from the "victim mentality" and well this okay before

you're thinking "Oh, what does that mean victim mentality?" right okay so you might

you might think it's something different okay? you might not realize the scope of

the victim mentality you know the people and maybe it's you maybe it's you "oh

poor me boohoo my moment did this to me my daddy did

that to me my grandfather did that he's dead

my sister did that my brother did that you know somebody stole all my money my

boyfriend did this my best friend did that" okay and so on and on and on right?

blaming everybody for your problems basically and oh

you're always sick you always complain there's nothing good

in this world everything's always bad right? now listen I know from personal

experience that was me okay? and so when I shifted so now you know would that be

is it if you it's you fine just listen. change it. change it as we can

do so in the past I believe everybody for you know why my life wasn't going

well today you know like ten years ago everything was everybody else's fault

and I can't member who said it but I heard he listened to a lot of podcasts

and personal development people will always tell you that the day that I grew

up was the day that I decided to take responsibility for my life I took

responsibility for my thoughts I took responsibility for my actions I took

responsibility for not feeling well physically mentally emotionally socially

and financially and so I decided I'm gonna change my life and and here's what

happened see when I blamed everybody for my past it was always my it was

everybody's fault it was always and I was always miserable you know nobody

ever wanted me around because I was always sick always complained that

nothing was ever good you know and everything was always everybody else's

fault you know why I wasn't doing well today why I didn't go to college why I

didn't have the nice things that I wanted why I couldn't publish a book or

whatever it was always everybody else's fault basically so you know I was

depressed I was sick physically mentally emotionally socially financially I was

poor. right? I was always sick I was always you know physically I got a

cancer few years ago the Lord healed me and I couldn't walk few years ago but praise the

Lord! Now I can walk again because I know that I am worth it! and that's why

I'm here to show you you are worth it you can do anything you want to do see

but you know what the worst thing was you know what the worst thing about the

victim mentality was? it was the fact that it took away my power you know what

I mean? like it took away my power it took away my options in life. you know?

and I didn't want somebody else controlling me anymore

that's why I forgave all those people for hurting me because even if they're

still hurting me I can get but if they're not hurting me anymore

then it responsibility for my own feelings and my own thoughts and my

words towards myself but worse towards others and my ash and all those things

that's my choice and I have the choice to change my life today and so do you

okay don't let people steal your power my friends don't let circumstances steal

your power don't let financial situations stay your

power don't let sickness dictate your future

and tell you that you're going to die because you have the choice and you are

live stronger than anything you have a lot more power than you think if I can

heal from cancer and in my Stein and you know being like 80 pounds and now I can

walk in a more muscular and healthier than I've ever been in my life you can

do it too you can I'm here for you want to show you that you can do anything and

that you are powerful and that you are worth it okay

ballets mucho okay so yeah so you know I decided that you know I felt like a

slave I was slayed to everybody else were slaves of people with opinions of a

slave to other people like I felt like I I wasn't worth it so I had to be good to

everybody else even though they treat me like crap even if they hit me like my ex

even if they hit me I was a slave to my old mentality I was saved to poverty I

was a slave of sickness I was a slave to you know just feeling bad in every area

of my life you know and mentally especially that's where it all started

so so let me tell you something check this out you ever feel like you're

so scared like you're paralyzed with fear like you can't do nothing I'm sure

you're out there going yep yeah everybody a lot of people's out there

watching going yep I felt that way well you know the devil scared me into

submission you know you backed me into a corner

like a little mountain lions cage and I was so fearful ah I remember that being

so fearful everything and everybody and I never took responsibility for my own

dreams and goals I never wanted to do anything and that means I was robbing

you I'm robbing you of all my gifts if I'm not doing the show no matter if I

get paid or not I would do this show sleeping outside for ten more years if I

have - because I want to show you that worth

it you can do it but I never you know that's a responsibility to show the

world what the Lord has done for me but I don't like the word responsibility as

much as I it's a privilege it's an honor and I want to do it I have to do it

because I want to do it okay I feel this fire in my bones and I just can't

control it I have to do this okay I have to get better too because I want it to

be good so I can understand where I'm coming from

so that y'all can implement these things in your own life okay so please do me a

favor comment below tell me what you think about this now listen I want to

tell you something now check this out I want to blow your mind right now this is

gonna really help a lot of people I remember I'll never forget this dream I

had this dream and I looked it up I just study dreams right and it was called an

epic dream and the dream book right and it was I don't know at least five six

years ago and so how'd his dream and I was crying

right I was in the well let me go back I was in a prison cell crying and I was

sick I was tired I just couldn't sleep I was just laying on my bed and this old

dungeon and and Jesus came right I prayed God help me help me Lord please

Jesus help me you know and so Jesus came right and and he came and he sat down on

a chair right across from my bed and I just kept crying and I looked at him

right and he looked at me sat down for a minute look to me and I quit crying for

a minute but then Jesus got up and walked out and I was crying no no please

no go don't leave me you know don't blame you can't leave me no well I got

my senses for a second there and I looked up and I said I stopped crying

right and I looked and I was like oh my gosh how come I never noticed this

before the door was open Jesus walked out that door it's not like he became

like a spirit or something like a ghost able to walk through those

doors this ain't Halloween this is real stuff you know he walked right out the

door and the door was open the whole time y'all get what I'm saying? what I'm saying to you is this I had the choice I

had the choice I was sick physically mentally emotionally socially

spiritually financially in every way and I had the choice the whole time I had

the choice to be free I had the choice to walk out that door and I didn't

because I first of all I didn't know that I had that choice that's number one

but once I did realize that I had the choice it didn't take me long it took me

too long I don't know how long I don't keep track of exact times I'd be crazy

right but I made a choice pretty quickly though to be honest and it didn't take

very long maybe a couple years first I became free spiritually emotionally

mentally I quit taking pills three years ago and now I'm free physically because

I had the sickness like I had and I decided a few years ago when I when I

left Pennsylvania to move to South Carolina I decided I'ma be free

financially so that's why I'm here as I said on my trailer

you know I'm your Harriet Tubman to show you the way out on the Underground

Railroad the way out of all these prisons and into freedom spiritually

mentally emotionally socially and financially okay so since you know since

God opened my eyes spiritually I became so much healthier like I said in every

way mentally emotionally socially financially spiritually and you know

that's why I changed my name because my name is Liberty V justice and there's

no period in my"V" cause my Victories never end and yours don't have

either my friends I am a victor I want you to say that "I a'm in Victor not

a victim" okay you are victorious as long as you choose to be okay

and so Phillipians 4:13 this is our all King James Version

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

I can do all things because I am willing that's simple because if I want

to do something I'm gon do it it might take me a while but I'm gonna do it I've

been on YouTube two and a half years now I'm starting to get the hang of it I'm

starting to get more subscribers people are liking it because I'm doing really

good shows you know and but I would like to do better obviously because I want

y'all to be happy and satisfied with my work and I want you to get something out

of it because I want you to be the Victor too- okay Romans 8:28 all things

work together for those who love the Lord and are called according to his

purpose and I am called according to his purpose that's why I'm here in LA now

I'm here for you you know? and uh here's another one I want to give you another

one this is one of my grandma's favorite verses this is 1 Corinthians 2:9 "but

as it is written eye hath not seen nor ear heard neither has entered into the

heart of man that God what God has prepared for those who love him" okay? so

that was all my grandmother's um I don't even know what to call it but her little

part when she went home to be at her in her mansion with Jesus okay? so I like to

say she died she died today's you know what by - by the way today is feliz el

dia de los Muertos the today is the it's the day after Halloween

November 1st 2017 is my very first year in LA celebrating with people with

lovely people I love y'all so much dia de los birthdays and if you don't

know what that is I'm celebrating my grandma today because she died and

that's why I'm here because grandma said I can do anything I wanted to not

believe that and I know it now so anyway happy tonight's a day the day we

celebrate our relatives our heritage and whatnot okay? so Ephesians

3:20 says "He is able to do exceedingly I'm sorry I can't even thought "He is

able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to

the power that works in us" see that means that I have to use his power that

he gave me you see? and the power works in me just as it works in you you can do

anything you want to do too, ok? my grandma was the one who told me about

Jesus all right? I know she'd be real proud of me today I love you grandma ok

but you know I want to tell you something before I go you know you know

what the greatest thing out of all of this is I don't beat homeless is that

when I learned is Brendon Burchard taught me this he says I am coughing

this is what is up his affirmations I am confident in my ability to figure things

out and I am confident because or I should say um yeah I'm confident because

I'm competent but I'm only competent because I had like a God fits like my

friend leaves says Lea leave McGuire love you man he taught me that word God

but it's it's God that's in me and I know that if God's I mean I can't deny

him and say that I'm stupid or I can't do it because the Bible says totally

different and it says the same thing for you it's not just for me it's not just

for people who believe in Jesus is for everybody ok you are amazing you are

fearfully and wonderfully made you were beautiful Psalm 139 14 okay but anyway

yeah so I believed that I could come to LA I believed that I could make it with

my youtube and yeah I mean when I first started out for the first year it wasn't

even a thing I didn't really plan on doing YouTube I just wanted to be a

better communicator because I'm a minister I went to Bible College so I

could help you all okay so that's the greatest thing is that Nabil was I ain't

afraid of nothing no more because perfect love casts out all fear first

John 4:18 but you know it's like so many people just need love out there they'd

steal of them the same way - but you just share love and maybe

you're scared or somebody don't be scared say hi I mean you know what are

they gonna do don't be scared because that's a devil and just just act in love

because loving what you say it's what you do okay anyways I'm confident like

all the things I learned so much about computers about people about life about

everything and I am confident that no matter what I do in life if I want to do

something I'm gonna be able to do it especially if I have the goals like I do

have and you know about my restaurant free food nationwide for anybody all

kinds of things that I want to do for y'all because I have been given so much

my lord that I just want to give that you know so anyway I thank you guys so

much thank you for watching thank you for supporting my channel thank you for

sharing thank you sharing my shows thank you for commenting and tell me what you

like thank you for commenting and tell me what you don't like thank you for the

people that are hateful and say mean things about me that I don't even know

but that's okay I thank you all cuz without you all would be here and that's

you're the whole reason why I'm here okay so just remember just remember you

are in victor say this out loud "I am a victor not a victim"

okay you are a victor you can do anything you want to do because you're

worth it! I love you thank you and sharing is

caring don't forget sharing is caring and

comments thanks for everything go you are worth it! vales mucho! feliz dia de

los muertos! thank you gracias!

Former Child Star Feldman Promises to Release Names of 6 Hollywood Pedos - Duration: 2:33.

The allegations against Hollywood heavyweight Harvey Weinstein seem to have opened the floodgates,

and new allegations of sexual harassment, abuse and even rape have come pouring out

of Tinseltown and the wider entertainment world.

On Monday, former child actor Corey Feldman appeared on "Today" where he promised

that he would be releasing the names of six individuals in Hollywood who abused him when

he was a child.

Speaking with Matt Lauer, Feldman claimed that he had been stopped from releasing the

names in his autobiography by the book's publisher.

But he said he's trying to raise $10 million for a feature film about pedophilia in Hollywood

that would help expose the truth.

When asked why he wouldn't just go to the police with the information, Feldman said

he already has.

"I've told the police.

In fact, if anyone wants to go back to 1993, when I was interviewed by the Santa Barbara

Police Department — I sat there and gave them the names.

They are on record," Feldman told Lauer.

"They have all of this information, but they were scanning Michael Jackson.

All they cared about was trying to find something on Michael Jackson."

The Washington Post noted that Feldman's interview raised some eyebrows because people

couldn't understand why he is claiming he needs to raise $10 million before he will

expose the people who abused him — at least one of whom he claims is still active in Hollywood.

Feldmen explained he needs the money to create and produce a quality film and for the lawyers

to defend him after the truth comes out.

He also said he's not the only one who knows the truth.

"Let me push this forward, there are thousands of people in Hollywood that have the same

information.

Why is it all on me?" he said.

"Why is it, if I don't release the names in the next two months, six months or a year,

I'm the bad guy?

I'm the victim here."

No one is really calling him a bad guy.

Skeptics are just questioning if he really has the names he claims he has, or if he is

just trying to make a name for himself.

But Feldman was adamant that he has a story to tell that needs to be heard.

"I'm the one who has been abused.

I'm the one who is trying to come forward and do something about it," he added.

It become clear over the past few weeks that Hollywood is a lot more corrupt and disgusting

than anyone realized.

Hopefully, all of Hollywood's dirt is exposed soon so that the victims who have hidden for

too long can come forward and tell their stories.

Only once Hollywood has been exposed for what it really is can any meaningful change actually

occur.

Democrat Legislator Forced to Apologize After Video of Her Traffic Stop Goes Viral - Duration: 3:14.

The Democrat lawmaker from New York who made headlines this week after a video of her acting

like an unhinged lunatic during a traffic stop went viral has apologized for her bizarre

behavior.

"The video released earlier this week of my Town of Ulster traffic stop captured a

tough moment for me," Ulster County Legislator Jennifer Schwartz Berky said in a statement

to Kingston newspaper the Daily Freeman.

"Like so many working families, I too face tough times and stressful situations," the

statement continued.

"As a professional, a public servant and a mother, I know my interaction with Police

Officer Gary Short was unacceptable.

I want to apologize to Officer Short and thank him for his patience and professionalism with

me during a very difficult time.

"This has been a humbling experience for me.

I hope to use it to grow and learn how to better represent the diverse working families

who reside in the great the city of Kingston."

Just to clarify, the incident actually occurred May 24, and Berky likewise delivered her apology

Friday.

It wasn't until this week, however, that Short's dash-cam footage went viral, turning

Berky into an internet sensation, as well as the butt of many people's jokes.

The dash-cam footage specifically showed her throwing a hissy fit after Officer Short pulled

her over for driving 43 mph in a 30 mph zone.

While practically every driver has been pulled over for speeding at some point, that wasn't

the problem here.

The problem was more with Berky's attitude of entitlement, in that she appeared to believe

her position as local lawmaker entitled her to be let go without any stipulations, let

alone a simple traffic ticket.

"Yes, I will listen to you," she barked at the officer during one point in the video.

"And you're not going to let me go even though I'm a county legislator and I always

do everything right and I follow the law and I was at the same pace as every other car."

She also seemed to suffer from a lack of personal accountability.

When responsible adults screw-up, they fess up to it, apologize and accept the consequences.

Instead, Berky chose to try and weasel her way out of being cited.

Besides accusing Officer Short of singling her out, the Democrat lawmaker also threatened

to "call town of Ulster Supervisor James Quigley," according to NYup.com.

She even claimed "Ulster County Sheriff Paul VanBlarcum already had been contacted."

It's like a kid who gets in trouble at school telling his teacher, "I'm going to tell

my mom!"

Whoopdi doo, kid, because that doesn't take away from the fact you just screwed up.

In a similar vein, Berky's attempts to involve other people in her mistake did nothing to

erase her complicity in breaking the law, though it surely helped highlight her immaturity

to the entire world.

Whether or not her apology, which she released months after the incident actually occurred,

will help her restore her now-tarnished reputation remains to be seen.

Please share this story on Facebook and Twitter and let us know what you think about this

Democrat lawmaker's apology.

What do you think about this lawmaker's crazy behavior?
