Raptor Report - MC Women's Basketball v PGCC Highlights - Duration: 4:36.

What a way to end the first half of the regular season.

Nothing like a match-up between two long time rivals; the MC Raptors and the Owls from Prince

George's Community College.

There's so much history, so many hard fought games over the years.

And none more intense than the last time these two met - in last year's Region XX finals,

which the Raptors won to advance to Districts.

So with all of that as backdrop, these two were at it again in Rockville on Wednesday

night.

The Raptors jumped on top off the tip, Armonie Lomax with the short jumper off the break,

but neither team really got untracked in the early going and the Owls led by three after

one.

Things really picked up in the second quarter, particularly for the Raptors; they grabbed

the lead with 7:50 left in the half when Alandra Bandy found Lomax on the baseline to put MC

up 19-18.

Grabbing the lead seemed to relax the Raptors and they went to work from there.

Next time down, Bandy digs out the loose ball, hits Anu Bamijoko and she banks it in, 21-18

MC.

Next trip, Bandy again with the outlet this time, Lomax misses, but Lauren Nelson is there

to clean it up on Aisle 9.

Next possession, Kayla Jackson flicks it away and takes it all the way for two more, 25-18

MC.

Next PG possession, Bamijoko rebounds, leads the break, nice look to Nelson, two more,

27-18 MC.

PG trying to stop the MC run, but Bamijoko with the hustle play to save it and Kayla

Jackson is again there with the put back as MC's lead grew to 11, 29-18.

And then Bandy caps off the run and the quarter when she shows off a sweet touch on this tear

drop to put MC up 31-20 at the break, as the Raptors outscored the Owls 20-6 in the second

quarter.

Second half now and PG came out and cut into the Raptor lead, Imani Yates with a long three

to make it 31-25 MC.

But the Raptors had no intentions of giving up the lead, Bamijoko with a bullet to Bandy

to stop the PG run, then Bandy leading the parade again, hits Lomax on the baseline,

she jukes, she's open, she scores, 10 point MC lead.

But the Owls weren't going anyway and this Camry Gantt steal and lay-in cut MC's lead

to just three, 38-35 with 4:31 left in the third.

But MC responded.

On the inbounds, Lomax to Bandy, right back to Lomax who drains the long three to up MC's

lead to 41-35.

Moments later, Lomax drives, misses, but MC controlling the boards until Jackson finally

puts it away.

Then the very next trip down, Jackson weaves her way down court, spots Lomax, sidestep,

three more, MC up 8, with 1:56 left in the third.

And then with seconds left, Jackson with the bounce pass and Lomax drains yet another three

as the Raptor lead grew to 13 after three.

And the Raptors were never threatened from there, Bamijoko with a nice baseline move

to make it a 14 point lead.

Bamijoko with a great stat line tonight, 12 points, 19 boards, 4 assists and 3 steals.

Then Jackson pushes the lead with two more of her 13 points, to go along with her 9 rebounds

and 4 steals.

Time running out, Bandy leads another break, nice bounce pass to Kenydi Cross, Bandy finishes

with 12 points, 8 boards and 5 assists.

And then to cap off her big night, Lomax drives, is mauled, but nothing can wipe the smile

off her face as she drains the freebies to give her a game high 24 points to go along

with her 3 steals as MC puts away the Owls 81-58 to finish the first half of the season

11 and 4 and ranked 5th in the NJCAA National Top Ten.

And man, the second half of the season should be fun to watch.

TV Shows Are Changing Your Political Opinions Without You Knowing It - Duration: 4:33.

Right now, we're living in a super-political environment.

Even reading the news is considered political.

Just mentioning a show can start a political argument!

But is it the media that's political or are we politicizing it?

We consume a lot of media from news to mindless entertainment television.

And studies show the media we consume can affect our opinions.

From body image to political leanings our media consumption can affect a lot.

There are a lot of variables here, but that doesn't mean we can't apply a little bit

of science.

So, first, we have to think about television not as scripted drama or stage play, but as

images and messages that are brought into your home in highly-produced packages, creating

a shared national culture.

And some research shows that people who consume more "light" television are more likely

to be swayed.

Light television is in contrast to heavy.

So while heavy might be a documentary, or hard-hitting news, light might be entertainment

or variety tv.

But while we all see the politicization of news, surely light tv is okay.

RIGHT?

Not so much.

One particular team of researchers looked at Italy as a case study.

They focused on areas where the TV network Mediaset was most widely syndicated.

Mediaset was owned by a guy who ran for (and won) the office of prime minister of Italy.

Beginning in the mid-1980s, the network showed light entertainment content and then gradually

shifted to biased content in favor of the owner's own political party.

The data science found, on average, Mediaset turned more voters toward the populist PM

candidate, compared to regions where his network was introduced later.

This suggests a correlation between long-term exposure to entertainment television (and

its possible political bias) and voting habits.

Back in the US, this is connected to a thing called the Fox News effect.

This American news network has an extreme right-leaning bias, that caters more to small-town

and suburban areas with populist bends.

Its viewers, too, skew ideologically conservative based on 2012 Pew studies.

But other media outlets are also skewed.

For example, while Fox was tough on the 2012 Democratic candidate, MSNBC was far tougher

on the Republican candidate that year.

But back back to Italy, the researchers also found a correlation between TV habits and

education.

On average, children exposed to entertainment tv at a young age grew into "cognitively

disadvantaged" adults.

And it's not just kids.

People exposed to entertainment TV over time, regardless of age, are more likely to be taken

in by populist political rhetoric.

Across the board, entertainment content was shown to influence political attitudes, creating

what the researchers call a, quote, "fertile ground for the spread of populist messages."

Which we know has become more popular in 2017.

Plus, the 2012 Pew Study found, Fox News viewers were on average less informed about current

events than people who don't watch the news at all.

That's right, less-informed than people who watched no news at all.

They conducted surveys covering both political events and general knowledge and a correlation

between lower scores on the survey and Fox News as the primary news outlet emerged.

Though, again, let's be clear: this is a correlation, not a causation.

But still, the correlation is there.

Another team of researchers from an apolitical nonprofit, looked at data for over 9,200 towns

in 2006, and found that areas where Fox News entered the cable market by the year 2000

had a significant rise in Republican support.

That suggests a link between the station's bias and its audience.

Fox News, they found, reinforced the views of Republican voters and shifted support among

independents.

Look, we're not trying to pick on any specific news outlet.

We're looking at the data, and the data says, some media is more ideological than

others

And can possibly affect how people see the world.

Plus, this was in 2012, we are far more polarized today than we were then.

Fox News is currently leading cable news channels for viewership.

Though viewers overall are fewer with the rise of alternatives to cable news online.

Which we didn't even talk about here.

Some have gone so far as to say that stations airing such slanted programming is, and I'll

paraphrase here, like an all-meat diet when really you need some variety.

Watching multiple news sources is always recommended as the best way to have a healthy news diet.

Exactly, is there a perfect news source?

No.

But there might be a better way to consume the news.

Instead of only watching Fox News or MSNBC, watch both.

And see what's happening on Twitter.

And read the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal and the BBC!

And if you don't have time to do all that, find a source that curates them for you.

If you're worried about bias, don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Anytime we can consider more sources we gain a broader opinion to have a better overall

sense of the world.

I got my first perch for the day. I think it is a nice one.

– We just have to weigh it. – It is really nice.

– We have to take it home. – No, we do not.

We have to take a picture of it.

We could do some ice fishing on this boat.

There is ice and water. Let's drill a hole and ice fish.

It is really early in the morning.

If you disregard the boat, you may think we are going ice fishing.

But we are not, we are going to fish for perch.

It may be slow today as the temperature has been below freezing-point during the night.

But if we manage to get three big fish, we will be quite happy.

I will use a Flatnose Mini in a Medium Rare colour.

I will start with that and see if it works.

It has a 7 gram head, as it is really shallow here.

It is only about 1 metre deep. I do not want it down on the bottom.

I will start with a Flatnose Mini too, but in the Motoroil colour.

We will fish a shallow area and try to find some deep holes with the sonar.

It will be about 1.5 metres deep around us, but the holes may be 2 metres deep.

That is where the perch usually is.

The water is really cold right now and drop shot may be good.

But we will start with jigs as we do not know where the perch is.

If we find the perch, we may switch to drop shot.

We will find them with the Flatnose and then we may switch to drop shot.

That is our plan today.

It is big as hell.

The net. Bring out the net.

It may weigh 1.3 or 1.4 kg.

We are out here fishing, but not getting anything.

Tobbe caught a pike.

But we got one all of a sudden.

It is a nice one too.

I caught it on a Flatnose in the Motoroil colour.

It is really nice.

It has been a while since I caught a nice one like this.

I have not been fishing that much lately.

I usually do not get much fish here, but the ones I get are often big.

I think we will weigh and measure it.

Damn, it is really nice!

I have to use a plastic bag, so I do not hurt it when I weigh it.

It weighs 1.24 kg.

The bag weighs about 40 grams, so the fish itself is 1.2 kg.

Then they come to get it and I can make a counter-thrust.

I saw when Edvin let his big fish back in and then I put on the same bait as him.

But in another colour. Then I got this one.

It is really nice.

I got it on this small bait. Maybe that is what works today.

It moves like a wounded baitfish.

The fish has really nice colours in the autumn, very orange.

They are fat too as they feed up before winter.

Let's weigh and measure it and take a picture before we let it back in.

The perch that Philip just got was 48 cm long and weighed 1.36 kg.

The sonar shows that the water is 4.5 °C, which means that it is very cold.

There will be ice here soon.

It means that the perch is really slow, so you have to fish the bait slowly too.

Let it be still on the bottom at times, because that is when the perch takes it.

Let's let this nice fish back in. It was 48 cm and 1.36 kg.

It is crazy that all the perch we get weigh more than 1 kg.

But I like to change the intervals when I fish in shallow areas.

Go to Maximum Area. We have 0–10 metres now.

But we can go down to 0–5 metres as it is so shallow here.

You can already see the edges more clearly.

It is 2 metres deep right here and 3 metres over here in the centre.

We have gotten all our fish in this area. It is 2 metres deep here as well.

We have been going around here, just casting and casting.

When we get a fish we mark it on the map.

So, here's the thing about Russian food.

I know less than nothing about Russian food.

I mean, I know there's Russian dressing,

and I know there's a huge community on Coney Island,

but am I really gonna go to Coney for a five-buck lunch?

I think not.

- Hey, wait.

Did you say Coney Island?

- Yeah.

- You totally don't have to go that far.

There's actually a place three blocks up from here.

It's called Teremok.

- Only three blocks?

- Yeah, I normally get the blinis,

it's like a Russian-style crepe, and they're fabulous.

- That sounds amazing, guys.

Three blocks away, easy, thank you so much!

- Yeah, no problem. Good luck.

(guy yelling)

- So these are the rules of "Operation 5 Buck Lunch."

It's gotta be good, 'cause nobody wants bad food for lunch.

No big chains, 'cause that's just too easy.

It's gotta be $5 or less.

And whatever I don't use today,

rolls over into the next episode.

I hope you guys are ready for the most epic journey

in "5-Buck Lunch" history.

We're going all of three blocks for lunch.

"Operation 5 Buck Lunch" Russian food is a go,

but first, do you know anything about Russian food?

- I don't.

- Do you know anything about Russian food?

- Yeah.

- Have you ever had a blini?

- A blini? No.

- Have you ever had a blini?

- No, I have not.

Well actually, I'm Polish, and we have crepes

and we call them "nalesniki."

The way my grandma makes them is,

you put sugar in the batter--

- Ooooh. - and so

you could eat it without anything in it.

It's just, you roll it up, and it's sweet.

- That's perfect and she makes it the best, clearly, right?

- Yes.

- OK, so you don't want to shout out anybody else's?

- No.

- Yeah I have had that. Actually, my ex-girlfriend,

who I just broke up with -- what's up (bleeps)

- Hey.

- she used to work in this Russian cafe

and she used to (bleep) all the time about the blini.

- Oh nice, well.

- And I tried it once.

- One, two, three, hey.

So speaking to the people,

I'm glad it's not just me who knows nothing

about Russian food, but what I did learn is that

within most cultures they have some sort of crepe-like,

blini-like dish, whether you're Puerto Rican,

or you're Romanian, or you're Polish.

But we're here for the one and only Russian-style Teremok.

Let's go.

(man moaning)

- Hello and welcome to Teremok.

- So my homegirl put me on to this place,

and she says you guys have amazing blinis.

What is a blini?

- A blini is sort of like a crepe --

it's sort of like this right here.

We roll it and then we put the filling in the middle,

and then we roll it up, sort of like a burrito

and put it in a wrap.

- I mean, I only have five bucks,

so I'd definitely love to try one. What do you have?

- So the cheapest one will be chicken and apple,

that would be $5.39.

- Lucky for us, I still have a $1.10 left

from the last episode, so I'm definitely gonna

hit that one up.

- Enjoy, your pickup straight done there.

Oh yes, I am pumped.

So guys, I know I didn't give you your fun fact yet,

but you're about to get it right now.

- Fun fact, fun fact.

So, I was talking to the manger and he was telling me

that blinis were popularized in the United States

by Eastern European Jewish immigrants who served them

with cheese and oil -- something very simple --

and they served them during the holidays.

Let's get into it.

Oh, straightaway, that smell gets much stronger.

Wait, wait.

First, a selfie.

(camera shutter clicking)

This reminds me of, like, when you eat a burrito,

except more flippity-floppity and with meat

and, like, this cream.

Anyways, let's go.

Mmm, oh ho ho ho, yeah.

This is the romantic part.

It's nothing crazy, it's just three ingredients,

but together they're amazing.

You have the blini, of course,

this beautiful pillow of magical goodness.

You have the slow-cooked chicken, which is cooked perfectly,

it's not too dry and it's definitely amazing as well.

And the most amazing part --

definitely said that three times:

They're amazing.

Amazing.

Most amazing part.

Three amazings!

You have the apple cream sauce.

This is, smells, and tastes fantastic.

(restaurant chatter)

(paper crumbling)

That's really good,

I could definitely eat this two or three more times

but I only got five plus bucks so,

what are you gonna do.

Mission accomplished, let's take this outside.

Blinis are definitely my new joint.

Today was a success, we hit every single one of our points.

It's not a big chain, at least in New York.

We got to use our rollover change.

And most importantly, it was delicious.

Vince McMahon Bans WWE Chant And the following WrestleTalk News episode

You're not allowed to have fun anymore.

Wrestling crowds chanting 'One fall' during the ring introductions first started in WWE

back at 2015's NXT TakeOver: London.

That's how excitable we fans can be sometimes.

We will literally chant the rules of the match.

To encourage the audience participation, ring announcers usually pause after their line

"the following contest is scheduled for one fall," so the crowd have a moment to

chant back "one fall!".

But at Sunday's Clash of Champions pay-per-view, ring announcer Greg Hamilton didn't pause,

continuing quickly on with Jinder Mahal's introduction, while the crowd tried to chant

"one fall" behind him.

When asked about this on Twitter, the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer revealed this is

actually part of WWE actively trying to phase the chant out, simply because: "Vince hates

it".

Hopefully another British creation fares much better under McMahon...

Rockstar Spud Arrives At Smackdown ...the brilliantly entertaining Rockstar Spud,

who was spotted arriving backstage at this week's Smackdown Live.

PWInsider have previously reported Spud has signed with WWE after leaving TNA in October,

and he'll be debuting soon on 205 Live.

Spud is just one of many wrestlers and backstage staff who've departed Impact Wrestling in

recent months.

So to make up for losing so much talent, TNA apparently have a plan for 2018…

...forging a relationship with one of the most exciting promotions on the planet: New

Japan Pro Wrestling.

PWInsider is reporting "There has been continued talk within [TNA] that one of the goals for

the new year is to try and rebuild their old relationship with New Japan."

TNA's previous relationship with New Japan reportedly came to an end for a number of

very 'TNA' reasons - including New Japan taking against Vince Russo's involvement

at Impact, and them being very unhappy with TNA's booking of Kazuchika Okada - someone

many believe to be the greatest wrestler in the world right now - as Samoa Joe's sidekick

Okato in 2011, a parody of Kato from The Green Hornet.

But if you ask the conspiracy theorists, New Japan already have a secret deal with another

wrestling promotion...WWE!

Chris Jericho Teases More New Japan Dates Some believe Chris Jericho wrestling a match

against Kenny Omega at WrestleKingdom 12 next month is actually part of an elaborate plot

to set up a Jericho vs Omega rematch at WrestleMania 34.

While Jericho confirmed he won't be appearing at WrestleMania to Sports Illustrated, he

also teased for 2018: "I could go back to the WWE, I love working for Vince McMahon."

But then he also said: "Will I work more for New Japan?

Possibly.

As his surprise New Japan appearance last month showed, Jericho is a master of working

fans.

The only thing we know for sure at the moment is: "If you want to see Chris Jericho wrestle,

today is the polar bear rescue playset I got several requests from my viewers to

Wow it looks cool big mommy polar bear a baby polar bear you got a snowmobile

rider two Wolf's fish and a basket

okay cool so here you have like the wolf's like going to attack and they're

here to save the polar bear and the polar bears got mechanical action and

here is some facts on polar bear cool let's go ahead and open it up

okay let's see what was in the box love these Animal Planet's lot of them you

know it's cheaper construction walk you get so much for the price you pay for so

this is what's in the box before I remove anything

okay let's go ahead and check out this app we're gonna start with the coolest

part of the set the mommy polar bear wow she looks totally intimidating kick her

out and let's check out the action feature so the coolest thing about this

is you could get her to stand up on two feet like she's attacking yeah and she

has an action button on the back here which moves her arm so looks like she's

attacking something to protect her baby Wow okay but anyways let's go ahead and

take a look at her from top to bottom first of all the head moves so I mean I

was almost wondering if there was an action feature for the head well I moved

everything and there is not so it's really weird it would be nice if they

connected the arm in the head and if they do then mine is definitely broken

so if any of you guys do have this set and it's supposed to be let me know so I

could go ahead and return it and get another one

because this is a cool set so ah nice big teeth they did a great job painting

the tongue the whole bear little tiny white pupils on this guy like I said the

head moves up and down you got the action feature on

the arm here I mean you could even move the arm and have it spring back without

the button but I think it's funner to push the button because it makes him

look a lot more realistic so here she is on all fours and then like I said when

she goes to attack she could stand up on both legs so really cool toy guys I mean

this is an awesome set very affordable ah I believe descent was about twenty

dollars so I'll put a link below the video where you could buy the setup in

something you're interested so that is the mommy and then here is the baby oh

they did such a good job with the baby I mean she looks so cute and fluffy

checker oh wow she is awesome looking and then they

gave us a couple of ferocious wolves check these guys out

I mean those are the most evil looking teeth I've seen these are definitely not

friendly fellows so you've got a gray and white color scheme big sharp teeth

but just paint it on I mean this is all one piece black evil looking eyes on

that guy and then you got a brown one brown and white once again really big

evil looking teeth Wow and then it comes with a big fish

here which you could put into the polar bears mom

oh there she caught a fish to feed her baby and then I comes with a cool action

figure I like this one this one's in all like snow apparel they got like a

canteen a bunch of fish here on the belt white boots a knife on the boot there

and they come with a bunch of optional weapons check out here you got a knife

syringe tweezers scissors this would be some type of like hammer to touch

reflexes you got like first some type of first-aid kit something here and a

stethoscope so this guy is definitely a doctor and then you have this cool

little like God it looks almost like a cooler but must be the first aid kit so

you could go ahead and put all of these pieces into the first-aid kit okay so

let's go ahead and equip this guy and then we'll put the rest of it in the

first-aid kit so first of all he needs a knife to protect himself either that or

maybe when he catches a fish to gut the fish and then the stethoscope here fits

around his neck there and then he could hold something - how about a syringe so

we're gonna have him hold a syringe so maybe he's gonna help out the polar bear

by giving him giving it a shot and then the rest of stuff will fit in the box

water bottle tweezers scissors some type of other scissors

hammer go ahead put the top back on and the guy could actually carry this so we

put it in his hand you could actually carry yet from his snowmobile hey let's

check out the snowmobile okay this snowmobile is really awesome

it does have wheels on the bottom so it rolls really nice and smooth it's got

three wheels there and the cool thing is it has a nice big slot in the back here

so you could put in the first aid kit and you fit the driver here behind the

seat that looks totally awesome check it out does Animal Planet here here is the

front of it let's see if this opens this looks like it should open up

okay it does open up but it's not meant to be opened up so it was a little bit

hard to get it to fit back together so if you do buy this set do not open it up

unless you want to break it so there's a good look at the front at the other side

in the back so this has a hitch - so it could pull a trailer so if you have any

sets with the trailer this thing will pull it how cool

the balmy polar bears going to sleep

baby is wandering off into the woods here comes the mighty hunter who is

hunting polar bears oh it's the mighty Eddy Hunter is down

oh the baby polar bear is lost in the woods he doesn't know how to get home

it's wolves Fred

they're gonna get the baby what is this

oh the other walls are tacky

baby polar bear is safe but is he Oh No Yeti just attacked the Wolves because he

was hungry oh he's gonna take down the poor little

baby can anybody help mommy polar bear yay

oh fuck you and maybe is safe mommy polar bear has overcome as she

saved the day but what is this oh no it's the terrible indominus rex what

he's not happy

And this is my last day in this city

Where I've made such good memories the last couple of months

I wanted to bring you one final video

Where I took you more through my daily life

And i'm going to be showing you guys

My one dollar and fifty cent a day gym

And there were a lot fancier gyms

That I could have joined

When I moved here

But this one was so close to my house

And I don't regret the decision

For a second

I'm one of the only foreigners

I've ever seen

Actually working out here

The staff is great

And let me show you guys around

The locker room looks a bit like a high school lockerroom

But it's fine

Put my stuff right here

One of my favorite things about this gym

Is that their are 5 squat racks here

And I do a routine called 5 by 5

Which essentially has me squatting

Every time I come to the gym

I've been to fancier gyms in the United States

That had one or two squat racks

This is in it of itself

Is one of the reasons I love this place

And it's usually not to crowded either

People are very respectful

Everyone keeps to themselves

The music's not to loud

You are here to work out

Granted some of the equipment is very old

And I mean very old

Like 1970s, 1980s

This here is something I actually never saw before until I came here.

A manual treadmill

Forget the TV

We're going old school

Give me a thumbs upf if you like this shirt I bought from this gym

For just three dollars

Alright let me take a break between squatting

To say that some of the things that you might not get used to

At a gym like this

Are one.

Their is no air conditioning

And when it's really hot out

That can be pretty annoying

Although I did work out in a gym in Hawaii

Where they didn't have a.c and it was far far worse

Because their is some ventilation here

Two..

I have never seen clamps here

For anything

So if you're squatting or deadlifting heavy weights

Sometimes I get a little nervous about that

And three

Some of the weights are a little dirty

So literally..

When you look at my hands after a few sets of squatting

Sometimes you can see

Little marks

But you just wash your hands after

One thing to keep in mind when you work out in a gym

Outside of the United States

Is that well just about everyone else uses kilos

So if you don't have a converter with you

If you multiply by two

You should get pretty close to what that number is

But i'm sure a lot of Americans have messed this up

And just assumed it was pounds

Well they'll be in for a surprise

I have met so many people that have traveled long term.. and they don't go to the gym

They don't eat healthy

I think that is such an important part of life

To maintain that balance..

If you want to go out

And eat fatty local food wherever you are

Go do that

But don't forget to eat healthy also

Don't forget to either join a local gym

Or at least go for a run

Do pushups, do something

To stay in shape

When there's no a.c at your gym.. This is your angel

Alright it's time

One rep for every

Taco I consumed in the last week

Only 50 more to go

I legitimately don't think I could show you

A single piece of equipment here that is any younger than 20 years..

And it's still functional

That's the thing

You really have to think about

How much money do you spend on a gym?

Do you really need the newest equipment?

To get a proper workout?

I know I don't

I'm telling you guys

This gym... is a gem

It's like a museum

I've heard they actually create some of their own equipment here

I've been to really expensive gyms before

In the United States, even in Mexico City

And i'll take this one.. over all of them

Because there's no distractions ..

You just come..

You work out

You're not paying a ton of money

And I think for a dollar fifty

I am getting

More than enough value..

For my experience here

Doterra Review - Why Are People Saying Doterra Scam? - Duration: 11:17.

Hello everybody this is Jason Fisher from timeandfreedom.com here to do a review on

Doterra.

And I really want to share with you my thoughts on this.

I've made millions of dollars in the home based business industry.

I had over 5,000 distributors and customers that dwindled down to 56 people.

I lost everything.

I started when I was 17 years old, bought my first million dollar home by age 22, and

literally had nothing at the end in the sense of long term residual income which was long

term customers.

Now I'm here to say that Doterra is a great company with great products.

It's just really important that when we are picking a company, if we want to have long

term residual income that we pick the right company that will be around long term.

Not only the company being around long term, but the customers being around long term.

And I have heard from many leaders and from my own research myself, the Doterra products

are great, but they are a little bit pricey.

When you look at other competing products within its field, the products can be overpriced.

The oils are great oils.

The personal care products are great personal care products.

But we've got to ask ourselves, are customers going to buy long term at that price point?

It's not just about the quality, it's about the price point.

And I want you to understand that at the end of my stay in my company after 12 years of

building that business, I said to myself, "Why do I have 56 people out of 5,000 people

that I originally had?"

And there was a universal principle that came to mind and that was called the 80/20 rule.

80 percent of the people don't do much while 20 percent of the people do something, or

80 percent of the money is earned by 20 percent of the folks.

We also in this industry, we think it's almost the 95/5, but let's just keep it for universal

principles; the 80/20.

And you can take any industry take ten doctors, or ten lawyers, or ten chiropractors, or even

ten cab drivers.

And you're going to find two that shine and eight that don't do too much.

And you're gonna find the same thing in the home based business industry even in Doterra.

Eight are not going to do much while two do something.

And here is what I have learned finding is that this type of business for it to work,

it's based on numbers.

Numbers equal orders and orders equal residual income.

And whoever has the most orders ordering in the end is gonna have the most residual income.

That is where it starts to unfold because when you look at the landscape of many of

these multi-level marketing companies, they all have great products.

But they are all 20 percenters deals from the price point of the products, they're 20

percenter deals, from the only people that can really justify those products in the marketplace

and the price point are the 20 percenters.

The only people that can make money in that type of business are the 20 percenters.

The 80 percenters are not kept in mind in most of these home based businesses.

And that's why most all these home based businesses only have five to 11 percent of their sales

domestically right here in the United States.

Because the only people they have ordering in the end are the five percenters or the

20 percenters.

Now when you look at the landscape, I found that most people can't justify that.

I said, "If I'm gonna throw my time, my energy, my reputation into a business one

more time, I better find something for the 80 percenters.

I better find a home for them.

I better find something that my brother can do, my sister can do, my next door neighbor

can do.

The person that doesn't have a lot of sales experience or drive, or tenacity.

I need to find somebody that's a business model that they're not good at handling rejection

in the sense of price point."

If I could find a business that the 80 percenters could win at, then I could have a huge home

run.

And when I looked at the landscape, all I saw were 20 percenter deals.

From the price point of the product to all the new buying habits that people have to

justify in order for people to spend in order to qualify every single month.

And then all of the sudden, the clouds parted and not only the problems with the solution

became very, very clear.

And that is that all these companies, and all of these businesses, and Doterra included.

They all have great products, but they start changing people's buying habits to the tune

of fifty or a hundred or one hundred fifty or two hundred dollars a month to stay qualified

in order to be commissionable.

And 90 to 120 days into the program or into that business when they find it hard to justify

those products at that price point, asking people to buy new buying habits that they

never bought before at a price points that they would never pay long term.

Not only do they quit the business, but here's the most unfortunate piece is they stopped

being a customer long term.

I said to myself after losing everything, "If I'm going to win in this type of business,

I better go find something that the average person can do.

Something that they didn't have to justify.

A new buying habit, or a new need in someone's budget."

And if I could find that, I could have a huge, huge hit.

And here was what I said.

I said, "If I could find a business that the 80 percenters could do, that they didn't

have to justify new buying habit, and that they could really make money in, then I was

gonna have a huge home run.

But if I could find a business that not only did they not have to justify a new buying

habit, or expensive product.

But if I could find a business that whether they made money in it or not, they still stayed

as a long term customer, then I knew I was going to have a huge home run.

Now I am the same jockey on a completely differ horse after understanding this universal principle

and how if it's applied correctly, there is massive success.

And if it's not applied correctly, there is massive failure when it comes to the principle

of the 80/20 rule.

I knew I needed to find a business that '80s stayed active in, and here's what I have learned.

And it's three main things that I now have in the business that is not only supplying

myself, but many other hundreds and thousands of other industry leaders.

We knew we needed consumable products.

But we needed consumable products for all; have to buy products.

Products that people were already buying and using it in reordering the month prior before

joining that opportunity.

And here's number two.

It had to be at a price point that people were used to paying, but it had to be a lot

less than what they were paying.

So you have to have consumables for all.

Can't just be consumables.

A vitamin is a consumable, right?

An oil is consumable.

But consumables for all are every type of product that someone would buy, use, or reorder

excluding paper goods and food for their fridge in their home.

If you can find consumables for all; things that people have to buy have to use and have

to reorder, but point number two have them priced at Wal-Mart or below price point, make

them more natural, make them more green make them more organic.

And then point number three, have the participation to partner up with the manufacturer to be

commissionable at only about five or six items of the already buying habits that they've

been buying already their whole life, and it just be a switching of stores concept then

you can keep everybody active.

Again consumable for all.

Price below Walmart or below price point.

More natural, more green, more organic, and then have the participation between the customer,

or the marketing executive, and the company only be about five or six items a month that

they wouldn't have to buy in order to be commissionable where it's not having them

spend any new money.

It's just simply switching stores.

Let the monthly qualification be about 50 to 60 dollars a month and things that people

were already buying were seriously.

It's a savings concept.

They're not only switching stores, but they're actually saving money.

If you can have a large amount of products that people can pick from, and it only takes

a few products a month to stay qualified, and they're saving money, that's where you

have a home run.

I am the same jockey on a different horse.

I went from 5,000 down to 56.

Now I have 5,000 people ordering every single month.

And they're not ordering because they're chasing the financial dream or the gain of financial

independence.

It makes sense for them to put their money in this store every single month.
