Fermi Paradox: Time and Distance - Duration: 5:20.
The Fermi Paradox asks the question that if aliens exist in the Milky Way, then we should
see evidence of them.
So where are they?
This question has endured within SETI circles for decades and remains an open question.
But in recent years, two glaring issues have come to light with the paradox that suggest
it may not be a paradox at all and in fact absence of evidence of alien civilizations
is perfectly normal for right now and it will be centuries or longer before we know if there
even is a paradox.
The first problem is that we may be overestimating galactic visibility.
When we think of what would be evidence of an alien civilization, we tend to think of
radio signals.
Trouble is, unless you're talking about an enormous contact beacon blasting out messages
in all directions hoping that someone will randomly see it, everything else gets really
ambiguous.
We can envision things like alien radar, for example, where it might be powerful enough
to be seen at a distance.
But the trouble is, beaming radar around would likely just produce one-off signals, something
SETI can't go on.
We can also envision laser communications, or laser emissions leaking from solar sails
that we might pick up.
But, for that we have to assume that aliens might employ solar sails.
We don't know if they do.
In fact, we simply don't know anything about alien technology.
All we know are things that we might do.
And one thing we haven't done is built an enormous omni-directional contact beacon screaming
hello to the universe, nor is it likely that we could ever justify doing so.
Consequently aliens might not build them either.
But what aliens might do is contact other known civilizations directly.
In other words, they see us, and then send a hello.
Contact projects of that nature are easier to justify.
But there's a problem.
Most of the galaxy doesn't know about us.
Because of distance and the time it takes for radio and other technological emissions
to cross space, not very many civilizations are going to know that we're here yet.
We've only been emitting signals for about a hundred years, and less so for powerful
signals, in fact the earliest one powerful enough to reach into space probably was the
infamous footage of Hitler opening the 1936 Olympics as shown by the movie Contact.
Thankfully, aliens aren't going to be able to decipher much of it for various reasons,
not the least of which is they would have no way of learning German.
But they would know that it was a technological signal.
So, presuming our signals could be picked up, so far they have only reached out to a
radius of about 82 light-years.
That's not very many stars compared to the whole of the galaxy, and not a lot of chances
statistically for us to have been detected.
So, statistically speaking, when could we expect to get contacted?
In a paper by Evan Solomonides and Yervant Terzian they attempt to give an estimate of
just that, link below.
They estimate by statistical model that we really shouldn't expect a contact signal
until about 50 percent of the galaxy has been reached by human signals.
In other words, the fact that we haven't seen anyone is normal and we aren't likely
to get contacted for a very long time.
They even put a number on this, the earliest we should begin to expect intentional communications
is 1500 years from and that the lack of observation that underlies the Fermi paradox isn't unexpected
at all and ultimately doesn't really mean much.
But this doesn't mean we have to wait 1500 years to answer the are we alone question.
As I've spoken about many times on this channel, there are other ways for aliens to
say hello both intentionally and unintentionally.
We could at any time observe megastructures passing in front of stars or other technosignatures
that do not depend on the aliens knowing that we're here, but instead simply depend on
the activities of alien civilizations going about their business.
That we haven't yet seen this yet might not be surprising either.
The reason is that up until recently, we didn't really have the equipment to look for technosignatures
or distinguish them from natural objects.
Only with recent equipment like the Kepler Space telescope could we really start to systematically
distinguish things like stars behaving oddly, and even then Kepler only looked at a tiny
fraction of the night sky.
The good news here is that equipment is coming that will give us a far greater ability to
find the oddness in the galaxy such the James Webb space telescope and the Large Synoptic
Survey Telescope and it very may well be that we serendipitously detect alien civilizations
long before they even know we're here.
What would be an odd outcome though is that even after thousands of years of observation
and listening, the Fermi Paradox holds, and distantly in the future we are still left
wondering.
That truly would be a paradox.
Thanks for listening!
I am futurist and science fiction author John Michael Godier currently still concerned about
what earth communications the aliens might pick up.
If they get the television signals, the first contact signal could say "More Bonanza,
or Space Laser Time for You" or "Why Will Smith Punch Alien?".
Or worse, encoded messages for Beldar!
Mips indeed.
So very, very worrying, and on that note be sure to check out my books at your favorite
online book retailer and subscribe to my channel for regular, in-depth explorations into the
interesting, weird and unknown aspects of this amazing universe in which we live.

Understanding Triggers - Duration: 8:10.
Hey everyone, and welcome to another educational video by the Entropy System.
Today I'm going to talk about triggers in a hopefully non-triggering way.
Triggers can be hard to understand. Like many things in the mental health community,
they are often the butt of jokes or heavy criticism.
So firstly, what is a trigger? A trigger is something that sets off a flashback
of a trauma of some kind. As I'm discussing this I want to make it relatable to people who have not experienced
extreme trauma, so I'm going to use trauma in two different ways.
There's going to be lower case "t" trauma, which is something that just about everybody experiences to some degree,
and then there will be upper case "T" Trauma, which is the big trauma that causes disorders and all that stuff.
So let's talk about triggers in the case of lower case t trauma.
How many of you have ever heard friends say, "Oh man, yeah, I went to that one restaurant
and I got food poisoning. I was sick for like two days.
Now even the smell of shrimp makes me want to throw up."
The smell of that shrimp is a trigger.
So why does that happen, though? It's because your body experienced a lowercase "t" trauma
so your brain had it programmed that, okay, what made us sick? That shrimp from that restaurant.
Anytime I feel like we're encountering shrimp, we're going to expel that
and get us away from that as much as possible. Now, some people can eventually overcome that
by going and eating another meal and being fine.
But there are people who will be like, "Yeah, after that I have not eaten shrimp in like eight years."
It sticks with them. It's so uncomfortable that they don't feel the need to try to overcome it.
Now take that and apply it to a brain response that would occur because of an uppercase "T" Trauma.
With uppercase "T" Trauma triggers, a lot more usually happens
than just a little nausea that passes in a few seconds.
It can cause hyperarousal, which is when your body goes into super fear mode
and suddenly you're seeing everything and taking in all this data at once and it is exhausting.
Your body and muscles are tense 'cause you're ready to run at any second.
It can cause bouts of sobbing. It can cause physical sickness. Not just feeling sick but getting sick
because this capital "T" Trauma was so intense that the brain hardwired itself to say never again
and it will do whatever it takes to make sure that doesn't happen again.
If someone who got food poisoning can't smell shrimp without feeling ill,
imagine how it would feel if someone was in the kitchen cooking shrimp and had a severe,
violent trauma be done to them in that kitchen.
Imagine how the smell of shrimp would make that person react.
This is why people request trigger warnings on things.
At the top of blog articles. At the top of long Facebook posts.
You may have someone say, "Hey could you trigger warn that?" if you're talking about something that is
a common trigger. Something that's very severe.
Now, triggers can be anything and let's say hypothetically I have a trigger of dragons.
I'm not going to go to a Game of Thrones forum and start asking everybody,
"Hey, could you trigger warn dragons?"
It is my responsibility to take that hyper specific trigger and avoid situations
where people might be talking about dragons.
However, if my trigger, which is a real trigger for us, is sexual violence and I go on to a Game of Thrones forum
it is not unreasonable of me to say, "Hey could you please trigger warn this post that talks about sexual trauma?
because that is something that is a widely known and widely experienced trigger.
As maybe you're typing up a long rant or an article or breaking down a scene bit by a bit
because you're a cool nerd and you like to overanalyze things like I do,
maybe add at the top, "Hey, trigger warning. If you didn't like that one scene with Sansa
maybe don't read this article." And yes, the internet is full of people who hate
SJW's and are going to attack you the second you say the word "trigger".
There's a good way to avoid that. Just say at the top, "By the way, this post includes X Y and Z."
Leave it at that. All of us looking for trigger warnings will read that, appreciate your effort, and move right along.
Finally, in addition to all the broad-spectrum stigma against triggers and trigger warnings and all that stuff in general,
even people who are mental health advocates and allies sometimes fall into that category of belittling people
for their triggers simply because they don't understand.
And the hero of people who could put an example to this is Tumblr user Marauders4Evr.
Some time ago, and I don't know when because Tumblr doesn't put date tags on things,
an anonymous user sent Marauders4Evr an ask saying, "Do you have any triggers?"
and Marauders forever said, "Yeah. Jello, popsicle sticks, and soup broth."
And, oh, the hate began. People made harsh comments and Marauders forever handled this very eloquently,
just reposting with these comments and saying things like,
"Hey, this is legitimately a trigger of mine. I'm not joking about that. This is serious.
I know it sounds bizarre but please trust me."
Then it went from sarcastic comments to death threats and, finally, after dealing with this for an amount of time
she comes forward and gives the big reveal.
Her trauma is hospital based. She had a series of invasive surgeries that kept her in the hospital
for a very long period of time. After one of these surgeries, she was in the hospital for a whole month on a clear liquid diet.
What do hospitals give you to eat when you're on a clear liquid diet?
Jello, popsicles, and soup broth. So three meals a day, seven days a week for a month,
all she was given was jello, popsicles, and soup broth.
At the end she makes this beautiful statement explaining why she didn't just say any of this in the beginning
and why she endured hateful comments and death threats and unfollows and all that other bitter crap.
In her words, there were two reasons.
A) I don't have to. People don't ever have to explain why something is triggering to them. Once they say that it is it should just be a given.
and B) The comment above is right.
I am a disability advocate. And part of that advocacy includes advocating on behalf of people with triggers.
And so, you've all been a part of a social experiment for the past few hours -
an experiment to see how people react when they see someone that has really bizarre triggers out of context.
And I'm a bit sad to say that many of you have failed."
When I saw this post I lept for joy. I thought this was a great smack in the face to all those people
who gave her a hard time for being honest about her triggers simply because they didn't get it.
And that's the great thing about triggers. You don't have to get it all you have to do is respect the people who say
"Hey, this is a trigger. Please don't bring it up around me."
Honest to god, it's not that hard.
So, to summarize, trigger warnings are a good thing, triggers can be anything,
and it's important to respect people's triggers even if you don't get them.
So I hope that you arm yourself with this knowledge and go out into the world
spreading the good news of respecting triggers.
That's all for now. Have a great day.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren Refuses To Take DNA Test Insists That She Isn't(VIDEO)!!! - Duration: 12:40.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren Refuses To Take DNA Test Insists That She Isn't
she is a rising star in the Democratic Party known for her progressive ideas
and fierce criticism of President Donald Trump the senior senator from
Massachusetts is touted as the potential candidate for president in 2020
Elizabeth Warren joins us now from Boston senator welcome finally to Fox
News Sunday good to have you here thank you
it's good to be here thank you for having me let me shake the invitation
let's talk first of all about North Korea you have been very critical at
President Trump in his policies on North Korea the day after he stood up at the
UN and declared that Kim jong-un was quote little rocket man you said quote
tried to bait an unstable dictator who has nuclear weapons is not a strategy
that makes America safer would you now acknowledge though after the news that
came out late Thursday night that the president's combination of tough talk
and then maximum pressure through international sanctions has in fact come
close to bringing North Korea to the table so I am very glad to see the Trump
administration turn in the direction of diplomacy and the principal reason for
that is because there is no military only solution to North Korea and this is
not just what I say this is what our own generals who are experts in the area and
responsible for the area say so that means we really do need strong diplomacy
here but these are very complex negotiations so I'm very concerned about
the fact that the State Department has so many vacancies that much of the staff
at the State Department has been decimated we have no ambassador right
now to South Korea the assistant secretary in charge of this area that's
another vacant post and this is important because these are the people
who know the economy who know the language who know the history who know
our military needs so I am very concerned that the president may be
taken advantage of here I want to see the president succeed it
is important for the defense of the United States it is important for the
security of the entire world but I'm worried about going into these Nick
oshi Asians without a strategy and without a strong full state department
to back them off Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina who has found himself
on the opposite end of the table of President Trump many times in terms of
opinion he should have warned into Kim Jong Un's saying if you try to play
President Trump that's going to be the end of you and the end of your regime
Senator Graham doesn't seem to have any concerns that the president is going to
get played here why do you well you know one of the things we have to remember is
that the Kim family dictator after dictator for generations now has been
hoping for a face-to-face negotiation with an American president this is the
big prize for them just being able to be in the same picture with them and the
reason for that is the Kim's have seen this as an opportunity both to
legitimize their dictatorship and to legitimize their nuclear weapons program
so my view on this is before you let them have that big prize before you
announce that you're committed by a time certain to go to that prize what we need
to do is make sure that the North Korean regime has made real steps towards
freezing their nuclear program and steps toward winding down their nuclear
program and not just promises but actual verifiable steps that we in the United
States can see which to get the prize of meeting with the president unless
they've taken those kind of steps which which raises the question though how
would you senators suggest that that be verified how do you verify something in
North Korea all right well that's the point the North Koreans have to be
willing to open the door and if they're not willing to verify then let's go back
to the history we've had with North Korea promise after promise after
promise after promise that they have broken if we let them have a prize just
based on a bunch of promises knowing that they've broken every promise in the
past then shame on this administration shame
on the United States we have to say you all have to be willing to open up so
that we can verify if they're not willing to do that then they're not
willing to take steps let's move on to trade the president does you know slap
tariffs on steel and aluminum or at least our two 15-day countdown clock
ahead of the announcement you said quote the proposed tariffs take the right
approach but they target a narrow section of the economy and put our
allies in the same boat as countries like China that sheet constantly on
trade all the while the administration ignores the root of the problem the
president started off by exempting Canada and Mexico at least for the time
being also said he'd be open to other exemptions as he met you halfway here so
I was very glad to see what the President had done look I have been a
critic for a long time about US trade policy my view is that we have
negotiated one deal after another that has been great for big multinational
corporations and been lousy for American workers lousy for American small
businesses often not even good for American consumers so what I'd like to
see us do is rethink our whole trade strategy and I'm not afraid of using
tariffs as part of that trade strategy and I was glad when after I made that
statement that the president distinguished our allies from China and
said wait a minute we have to do something different here but you can't
do this it's just a little tiny piece of the economy or a small piece of the
economy it's got to be part of an overall trade strategy that puts
American workers American small businesses first that's what I really
want to see is that not what the president is doing well he's got two
industries in front of him he started out with an announcement that was going
to apply to everyone our enemies and our friends alike I think what it takes is
you got to think about trade in a much broader way it's very much about tariffs
but it's also the negotiations for example have been about things like
electoral property law rights and copyright
he is talking about all that let's let's turn to another subject that's the new
we have we have minimal time here so let me and I hope he does okay let me let me
move to a talk that I know is very much in your wheelhouse the banking bill some
nine years after the stock market hit a low after the economic collapse the
Senate is poised to roll back some Obama era banking rules with the help of 17
Democratic senators let's listen to what you said last week on the Senate floor
about that but in the next few days with broad support among Republicans and far
too much support among Democrats the Senate is on the verge of passing a bill
that puts American families in danger of that same devastation all over again one
of those 17 Democrats supporting that is your colleague from Virginia Mark Warner
who said the bill is mostly focused on community banks and credit unions my
states lost 30% of such institutions that does not help grow the economy
particularly in smaller communities the the implication here by virtue of your
opposition is that you're okay with losing community banks and credit unions
of course not and we have been in agreement for a very long time the
Democrats on the Senate Banking Committee that we need relief for
community banks and if this bill had been about nothing but community banks I
think it would sail through with very little opposition but what this bill
does is it takes 25 of the 40 largest banks in America banks that collectively
received fifty billion dollars in taxpayer bailout and nobody went to jail
for any part of it and says let's just treat them like community banks a bank
that as a quarter of the trillion dollars is not a community bank and you
don't have to believe me on this the Congressional Budget Office has said if
this bill goes through the chances that the American taxpayer will be called on
to bail out Wall Street again go up that's not where we want to be this is
not good for American taxpayers and it's not good for American consumers can we
just pause for one minute remember it wasn't just the stock market
that went down millions of people across this country lost their homes millions
lost their jobs millions lost their retirement savings we cannot put the
American people at risk for this again particularly when the banks all of the
banks are making record-breaking profits our job in Congress is not to stand up
for quarter trillion-dollar Wall Street banks our job in Congress is to stand up
for the American people let's look ahead to the 2018 election in 2020 and Senator
Warren this is your first appearance on Fox News Sunday I like to give the
opportunity right now to declare if you so choose are you going to run for
president in 2020 I am not running for president in 2020 I have an election
right now in 2018 here in Massachusetts and I've been out there talking to folks
all across the Bay State I just did my 23rd I think it is Town Hall in Weymouth
on Saturday my 22nd on Friday and Springfield you know it's a chance to be
out and talk to people we really have to be in this fight for our democracy as we
go forward and it's you know it's been an incredible privilege to serve the
people of Massachusetts to go down to Washington and to say I'm not here just
serve the rich and the powerful I'm not here to fight for an America that works
better and better for a thinner and thinner slice at the top I'm here to
fight for working families like the kind of family I grew up in well I know that
you're looking ahead to November as opposed to 2020 but indulge me a moment
here if you if you would there are many people who are saying should you choose
to run in 2020 and and one of these groups is the Berkshire Eagle
Massachusetts newspaper that endorsed you in 2012 that the issue of your
ancestry will come up and and they're suggesting that you put it to rest
saying quote the Elizabeth Warren should screw up her courage and take the spit
test a DNA test that a positive test would permanently resolve the issue
while possibly shutting down president Trump would you be willing to take a DNA
test to put this issue to rest look let's let's start again
where you started I'm not running for president but let me tell you a little
bit about my family you know my mom and dad were born and raised out in Oklahoma
and my daddy was in his teens when he fell in love with my mother she was a
beautiful girl who played the piano and he was head-over-heels in love with her
and wanted to marry her and his family was bitterly opposed to that because she
was part Native American and eventually my parents eloped and
they survived the Great Depression they survived the Dust Bowl they went through
a lot of hard times they raised three boys my older brothers all of whom went
off to the military they raised me they knocked around and it was tough but they
hung together they hung together for 63 years
I know who I am because of what my mother and my father told me what my
grandmother and my grandfather told me what all my aunts and uncles told me and
my brothers it's a part of who I am and no one's ever going to take that
away senator Warren we'll leave it there thanks so much for joining us today and
for on behalf of Chris Wallace please come back thank you god bless you and
God bless america

It's not as good as it used to be.
Honestly, even that show...
They made that show because I can run fast.
Really?
Really?
They made that show because you can run fast?
They made that show because of you?
Hara, you were in a documentary for Gwangju KBS?
Really? What were you?
(What was it about?)
A girl that works hard at life.
- From a poor background. / - A hard-working girl.
Really?
I saw that one.
- You did? / - Yes.
There it is.
"A Dream You Can't Give Up On."
Class ends at a middle school in Gwangju.
- That's you, Hara? / - Yes.
This girl is in a rush somewhere.
(Looks so awkward from behind)
You were acting a bit then, right?
- That was planned. / - They told you to run.
You weren't that late.
Get out now!
Hara was rushing to an acting class.
(Koo Hara, age 14, dreams of becoming an actress)
Her dream is becoming an actress.
She was 14 then.
I can't stand the sight of you!
Get out!

Right after her acting class,
Hara is busy practicing dancing.
She's good at dancing.
She was the dancer of Gwangju.

JYP and SM...
I auditioned for SM.
You were third in the SM audition.
Yes, I placed third.
1st was Gong Seungyeon.
Jeongyeon's older sister.
2nd was Sunmi.
Doesn't 3rd mean you made it?
I was a trainee at SM.
But I wasn't satisfied.
You didn't know when you'd debut.
So I secretly auditioned for JYP.
While you were an SM trainee?
And I passed the audition.
Right when I was about to join as a trainee
I got the chance to be in KARA.
You got an offer.
So for a month as a trainee
I just practiced our debut track.
I was lucky that I got to debut.
You debuted faster than I thought.
I debuted very fast.
So you got warmed up at SM
and debuted with another agency.
(She's a traitor?)
You started with that KBS documentary.
Yes.
I always thought Hara was good on variety shows.
- But you haven't been active for a while. / - Yeah.
What were you up to?
I was preparing to release an album in Japan
but that ended up not happening.
I was so lost on what
I should do next.
I just wanted to escape.
I suddenly felt that.
Drinking?
I didn't drink.
I didn't go clubbing.
I just worked for 10 years straight.
So I started clubbing and drinking.
She's just like me. Gosh...
So I started drinking.
How did it feel to escape like that?
It felt empty.
You didn't find yourself.
Yes, that's right.
I realized that I'm happier when I'm working.
Who would you want to work with?
I hosted a music show
with Lee Jongsuk.
And I did a movie with him too.
I was cast first and the director asked me
who I wanted as the male lead.
So I recommended Jongsuk.
He agreed to be in the movie but I had to drop out
because I had to promote with KARA.
So I always tell Jongsuk that I want to
work with him on my next project.
So basically, you got Jongsuk in that movie.
- Right. / - It's like that?
And you made "Idol Star Athletics Championships."
You're amazing.

BREAKING News Out Of The FBI They Just Met Their Worst NIGHTMARE - Duration: 14:03.
BREAKING News Out Of The FBI- They Just Met Their Worst NIGHTMARE
In a shocking admission by an agency that rarely admits mistakes, the Federal Bureau
of Investigations has revealed that they received a tip about the alleged Florida mass shooter
at least a month before the attack but somehow did not follow "protocol" after the information
was received.
In a statement posted on the agencies website, the FBI noted that it received a tip about
the troubled teenager through its Public Access Line that detailed the teens gun ownership
and erratic behavior.
In other words, the FBI just publicly admitted that they ignored a key tip that, if followed
up on, could have stopped Nikolas Cruz from killing 17 people and injuring over a dozen
more!
The statement reads:
On January 5, 2018, a person close to Nikolas Cruz contacted the FBI's Public Access Line
(PAL) tipline to report concerns about him.
The caller provided information about Cruz's gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic
behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting
a school shooting.
Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed
as a potential threat to life.
The information then should have been forwarded to the FBI Miami Field Office, where appropriate
investigative steps would have been taken.
We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received
by the PAL on January 5.
The information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation
was conducted at that time.
FBI Director Christopher Wray said:
"We are still investigating the facts.
I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as
well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public.
It's up to all Americans to be vigilant, and when members of the public contact us
with concerns, we must act properly and quickly.
"We have spoken with victims and families, and deeply regret the additional pain this
causes all those affected by this horrific tragedy.
All of the men and women of the FBI are dedicated to keeping the American people safe, and are
relentlessly committed to improving all that we do and how we do it."
How on earth could the FBI receive such a detailed tip from someone CLOSE to Cruz and
then ignore it to the point that it wasn't even sent to the field office in the area
the alleged shooter lived in?!
In response to the FBI's shocking admission, Florida governor Rick Scott is calling for
FBI Director Christopher Wray to resign as he was the head of the agency when the tip
was ignored and is indirectly responsible for the attack even being allowed to happen
in the first place.
Scott released his own statement Friday that reads:
"The FBI's failure to take action against this killer is unacceptable.
The FBI has admitted that they were contacted lasted month by a person who called them to
inform of Cruz's 'desire to kill people' and the 'potential of him conducting a school
shooting."
"We constantly promote 'see something, say something,' and a courageous person
did just that to the FBI.
And the FBI failed to act.
'See something, say something' is an incredibly important tool and people must have confidence
in the follow through from law enforcement.
The FBI Director needs to resign."
While most Americans are sure to believe that this was an honest accident by the FBI, one
has to wonder if this tip was ignored on purpose, especially when you consider the agencies
long history of using informants to entrap idiots in what amounts to the FBI staging
fake terror attacks themselves.
When you add in the fact that the entire establishment is now pushing even more gun control and you
have all the hallmarks of a classic false flag.
What do you think?
Did the FBI "accidentally" ignore the tip that could have stopped the alleged Florida
mass shooter or was this a purposeful act designed to allow a mass shooting to happen
which could then be used to further erode Americans Second Amendment rights?

아티스트 오브 워크래프트: 흑요석 - Duration: 4:48.
Hello everyone, my name is Obsidian.
I mostly illustrate figures wearing traditional Korean clothing, 'hanbok'.
I worked on various Western fairy tale characters in hanbok,
featuring attire and backgrounds with oriental themes.
I'm excited to share with you this collaboration project with World of Warcraft.
Though I don't have the time to play anymore,
I used to play World of Warcraft.
I am still fascinated by the world within
and the characters that fill this world.
So I had no trouble fully enjoying the project.
My first work is themed around Battle for Azeroth.
In the case of King Anduin,
he was dressed in what Kings of the Chosun Dynasty used to wear
to give him the strong image of royalty.
Sylvanas Windrunner, no doubt, is the Queen of the Forsaken.
Among Korean shamans, they have full-bodied white costumes called "Manshin's Robe" that only high ranked shamans could wear.
I took that costume and drenched it in blood to get her dark atmosphere.
So that's why she's wearing a bloodied white dress.
I wanted to give a feeling of dynamic activity between
the confrontation of Sylvanas and Anduin.
After much consideration,
I added waves to the scene,
giving it a more spectacular feel.
The second piece was Jaina's winter.
Jaina is a powerful character
with a righteous and bold heart.
She has a Christmas themed skin in Heroes of the Storm
and I thought that it could work well as a hanbok version.
I changed her hat to a traditional one called 'Nambawi'.
The clothes are also traditional; the vest is called 'Baeja' and the dress top, 'Jeogori'.
With this, I wanted to set a cozy atmosphere with the pets and mounts in Warcraft.
The third piece was the New Year's greetings from World of Warcraft.
Traditionally, kings of Korea bestowed drawings to his court
called 'Sehwa' to celebrate the new year.
These pieces were usually themed with what is called 'Shipjangsengdo; The ten longevity symbols',
most commonly depicted with ten sacred elements, such as the Sun, clouds, water, stones, pine trees, etc.
I wanted to add some of those elements
like the sun and clouds in the picture
so I could imply the background of each of the races.
As for the Lightforged Draenei,
the Sun could represent the Light.
So the Sun is there with the Lightforged Draenei.
For Void Elves,
the hue is slightly darker to represent their realm.
I've added clouds around the Nightborne
to represent their history of living hidden behind a veil.
The cloud is one of the sacred elements of the 'Shipjangsengdo; The ten longevity symbols.
Finally, there's the Highmountain Tauren.
They live high up in the mountains
so I added rocky mountains to represent their dwellings.
I was very pleased to work on this project.
I once again felt the deep characteristics of World of Warcraft.
I had fun with various ideas on how to draw them,
as I had a solid and unique theme to work on.
With the release of the new allied races,
I'm sure many players would love to try them out.
I hope you all love and enjoy playing World of Warcraft.
Thank you.

I wear my heart upon my sleeves, I understand I'm hot and cold and then I'm losing who I am
I lost myself along the way, I understand
If you want someone else's hand to take your hand
When I'm out and you're sleeping And I need you on my phone
'Cause you know that I mean it When I wish that I was home to hold you
But I have to love you through a call And I'm thinking you're not missing me at all, no
Baby, the nights that we spent just go hazy I'm sorry that I asked you to stay
Under the stars in the sand But baby, these conversations will break me
I'm sorry I wear you like crazy Giving you all that I am
I'm doing the best that I can
I wear my heart upon my sleeves, I never can Figure out what you want me to do instead
You said you felt something inside, I understand If I've been moving you in ways that you won't bend
When I'm out and you're sleeping And I need you on my phone

There's nothing magic going on Then 'long came you
All the lights are down low And I keep losing my focus
There's something happening I can't keep cool
Oh, I can't sleep I'm dancing with adrenaline
I can't speak Hands, they keep trembling
I've been so weak When you make an entrance
And when you leave Oh, I can't hardly breathe
Oh, darling, I can't breathe Oh, I can't hardly breathe
Oh, darling, I can't breathe Can't hardly breathe
Oh, I can't breathe Can't hardly breathe
Oh I, oh I Can't hardly
And now you're killing me softly You're saying things with your body
So I take your hand and then we go All eyes on you
