The Most Expensive Toys And Games
Ah, this is a nightmare for every parent- expensive toys and games that their children
"cannot do without"!
As a parent you have spent quite a few bucks on play stuff that either breaks within a
week or magically disappears leaving behind a sobbing child!
This situation is even worse when the broken toy was the most expensive one that your child
had and cost you a GRAND sum of money, ouch- that hurt a lot!
But you'd be surprised to know that no matter how much you spend on single toy for your
kid, you just cannot make it to the list of the most expensive toys, simply because you
gotta be crazy to spend such a huge amount on a toy!
So shall we move on to the list?
Number 1.
Astolat Dollhouse Castle The priciest dollhouse ever is also the most
expensive toy in the world!
When we say that the Astolat Dollhouse Castle is worth a whopping $8.5 million, you'll
probably call us insane and demand to check our facts, right?
Well, the price is absolutely correct and in accordance to the creativity, engineering,
architecture and sculpting that went into the creation.
The doll house has many floors with a total of 29 rooms and even houses a gym and a pool!
The house is complete with a kitchen, armory, stairways, hallways, and seven levels.
There also is a music room, formal rooms, a grand ballroom, and a library.
But the best touch is the bar where actual mini liquor bottles are kept, it is just perfect!
It took 13 years to finish this beautiful dollhouse and it weighs somewhere between
815-890 pounds.
Now won't you say it was worth the money?
Number 2.
L'Oiseleur We are talking about a 4ft tall moving doll
designed by a French automata expert named Christian Bailly.
This automated doll is given motion and life all thanks to its 2,340 steel polished parts.
It functions with the assistance of spring-driven cogs and gears, and not motors or batteries.
The doll represents finery in every way and it took more than 15,000 hours to complete
this project.
That's a long wait, Christian Bailly is a patient person!
Anyway, the doll is clothed in renaissance garb that is embellished with gold and pearls.
To add to the elegance of the doll, it is dressed in velvet, satin, and silk, and features
glass eyes and painted porcelain skin.
As for the accessories, a pair of singing birds, flute, and a sword completes the picture
perfect doll!
If you wind the golden key, the Bird Trainer takes the flute to his mouth and plays the
tune "Marche des Rois" by Georges Bizet.
His eyes move back and forth, while his fingers work the instrument.
In addition, the birds on the Trainer flap their wings, turn their heads, and open and
close their beaks.
The doll weighs 122 pounds including the mother-of-pearl and jade pedestal.
As for the price, it's a mere $6.25 million!
Number 3.
Madame Alexander Eloise Is there anybody out there watching this video
who has $5 million in their bank account?
Let's just say we ask you to spend the entire amount, what would you do?
Buy a lavish house with a fleet of cars or open a business or maybe buy a single doll
for the entire sum!
You heard that right, Madame Alexander Eloise is a doll that costs an insane $5 million.
Any idea why?
Well, it hosts 9 carats of diamonds and other expensive accessories.
The designer Madame Alexander created only five dolls of this type and each wears Swarovski
crystals, Katherine Baumann accessories, Oscar de la Renta fur, and Christian Dior clothes.
We'd say the idea of making only 5 pieces was smart because there won't be many people
in the world who are planning to burn their cash in a huge pyre and would rather "invest"
in a doll!
Number 4.
Lamborghini Aventador Model Car You could buy a real Lamborghini Aventador
car for about $400k, not cheap by any means.
But if you want to buy a toy model of this car, you will have to burn a hole in your
pocket!
Alright, not all model cars you see in a toy shop but this golden version of the Lamborghini
Aventador scale model by German model maker Robert Wilhelm Gülpen!
Priced at $4.6 million, this model costs more than 10 times the original car, woah!
But you aren't wasting money here because this model comes with lots of gold and more
than 1400 precious stones including diamond lights.
The material alone cost in excess of $3 million, the rest is apparently for the work Robert
has put in, 500 hours to be precise.
Fair enough!
Number 5.
Shimansky Soccer Ball Are you a soccer crazy, bling lover person?
We know of the ideal showpiece you need to invest in that would be a symbol of your personality
and would also simultaneously tell the world that you are the man with big bucks!
Let's get straight to the point now, we are talking about the $2.59 million Shimansky
Soccer Ball.
Sorry but the price tag was important here and you have probably figured out why!
The reason behind this exorbitant price tag is the 3500 carats of diamonds (South African)
that it has embedded, including 2640 black diamonds and 6620 white diamonds giving the
ball a weight of 4.8 pounds.
It was made by Shimansky, a jewelry brand of South Africa, to honor the 2010 World Cup
that was held in the nation.
It took a full three months to manufacture this stunning piece.
Is it beginning to justify the price?
Number 6.
Steiff Louis Vuitton Teddy Bear You have probably bought a teddy bear or two
for your kid because well, teddies are the most cherished gifts of childhood!
But what we are going to show you now is shocking.
Steiff, a German toy maker, has designed the most expensive teddy bear which was auctioned
for an amazing $2.1 million at the 2000 Monaco auction!
Yes, you heard that right, it really does cost that much!
But why?
The bear wears a Louis Vuitton outfit and also has this very brand's luggage and travel
gear.
Now Louis Vuitton means big money, no wonder the teddy is expensive but isn't 2.5 million
tab bit much?
Uhmm, the teddy is made of gold and real fur and has sapphire and diamond eyes.
Ah, now you are talking!
It was bought by Jessie Kim from Korea and is now housed at Teddy Bear Museum in Jeju,
Korea.
Anybody planning to pay it a visit?
Number 7.
Golden Monopoly An 18-karat solid gold Monopoly set covered
in precious stones is on display at the Museum of American Finance on Wall Street.
The eye popping dice feature 42 full-cut diamonds for the number dots and are valued at $10,000
whereas the complete game is valued at about $2 million!
Woah, that's a whole different angle to look at a simple game of monopoly!
It took Sidney Mobell, a jewelry designer of San Francisco a full year to finish making
this expensive game.
The properties of this board game are set in gems, and in totality 165 gemstones have
been used.
The hotels are topped with sapphires and the house chimneys with rubies.
This amazing piece of art was donated by Mobell to the Smithsonian Museum in 2003.
In 1988, Mobell brought the finished board to London.
It was there and only there that a match was played on the board: He against former British
Prime Minister Edward Health.
Let's head out west to take a look at it!
