Youtube daily report Jul 19 2018

There's a lot to love about the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It's got action, adventure, and baby Groot!

That's what everyone adores about the MCU, but there's one thing the sprawling, multi-billion-dollar

movie series hasn't gotten quite right: LGBTQ community representation.

Many fans have called for Marvel to remedy this.

The proposed solution?

Simply include more LGBTQ characters in the MCU!

And according to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, that's exactly what the company

plans to do.

Speaking in an interview with The Playlist, Feige revealed that Marvel Studios will introduce

at least two LGBTQ characters in the future, one will be someone fans have never seen on

the big screen before, and another will be a character viewers are already familiar with.

The executive didn't mince words or skirt around the topic when it was brought up.

When asked if "a gay, bi, LGBTQ, out character in the MCU" was in the works, Feige responded:

"Yeah, that's the answer.

[…] Both ones you've seen and ones you haven't seen."

Though Feige didn't dish up any additional details, keeping a tight lip on the characters'

identities, it's widely assumed that Tessa Thompson's Thor: Ragnarok hero Valkyrie is

the LGBTQ character who has already graced us with her presence.

The actress previously confirmed that Valkyrie is bisexual, writing on Twitter back in October

of 2017: "She's bi.

And yes, she cares very little about what men think of her.

What a joy to play!"

"Asgard is danger.

People are dying and we need to get back there, I need YOUR help."

"Finished.

Bye."

Sadly, only part of that proclamation was reflected in the final version of the movie.

Valkyrie certainly didn't care about men's opinions, but the single scene that addressed

her sexuality was cut from the film.

After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, we aren't sure whether Valkyrie

is actually alive.

Still, fans have their fingers crossed that she's a-okay and will be out and proud in

an upcoming Marvel movie, especially since that would reflect the character's modern

day comic book identity.

As for who the brand-new LGBTQ character is and where they may first appear, the possibilities

are endless.

Will Brie Larson's Carol Danvers have a lady love in Captain Marvel?

Or could Spider-Man: Far From Home introduce an LGBTQ teen vigilante like America Chavez

to banter by Spidey's side?

Your guess is as good as ours, but when it comes down to it, we're just excited that

Marvel is taking any sort of initiative to make its movie universe more inclusive.

"It's about time."

MID YEAR BOOK FREAK OUT || 2018 - Duration: 10:53.

Let's do this. Hey guys, it's Emily! for today's video I am doing

the Mid-year Book Break Out tag which was originally created by Chami. I will

leave a link to her video, channel, all that stuff, down below. I was tagged to do this

by Sylwia over at Wish Fulfillment who is just the very best. She's so great!

She has such wonderful reviews, so you should check out her channel if you are

not subscribed already--you're missing out. This tag is like a high-level

overview of how your year is going in reading, so far. So now I'm gonna do

that... The first question is the best book that you've read this year. I always feel

a little bit weird when it comes to picking a best book because I

read very widely across a bunch of different genres and age demographics

and things like that. So it's like, well, a high fantasy book is not

comparable, really, to scientific nonfiction. But I also didn't want to

just spiral on with this question. So I'm going just with two books, one

fiction and one nonfiction. My favorite fiction book of the year so far is Red

Clocks by Leni Zumas. I don't have a copy of it anymore because I lent it to

a friend. I adore this book! I did a full review of it, which I will link to in the

cards and down below, and you can check that out if you're so inclined.

It is literary speculative fiction. It's a little bit avant-garde, about a world

in which a personhood amendment has been passed. Abortion is illegal,

artificial insemination (and IVF) is illegal, and it also affects immigration and things

like that. We follow five different female characters, and you can watch my

review if you want to hear more about it. But it is fabulous! The other "best book"

that I want to talk about is I Contain Multitudes by Ed Yong. I just don't know

where this is... I may have given it away, I may have it somewhere in my house, I just

don't know. It is scientific nonfiction that looks at the microbes of the world

and also within your body. It focuses, I would say, a little bit more on the

microbes in and on your body. Microbes in general--covers all that good stuff.

It's wonderfully written. It's accessible but doesn't seem watered-down. It's just

all around really, really, really impressive work. I love it, I would

definitely recommend checking it out. Number two: what is

the best sequel that you have read this year? For this I'm going with The

Stone Sky by NK Jemisin. This is book three and her Broken Earth trilogy, which

takes place in a world in which there is just a ton of seismic activity, and

certain people--called orogenes--have the ability to kind of control and manipulate

seismic activity. It looks at how that world and those powers within that world

affect power hierarchies and structures because orogenes are a marginalized group

within this world. They are oppressed and controlled. It's just an amazing,

incredibly inventive fantasy series. I adore it. The first book is The Fifth

Season. It takes about a hundred pages to get into because there's no expository

world building. So there's none of that like, "Joe walked into town for the first

time, and someone explained to him how this town works, and what the powers are

on this town, and who are the important players in this town," which you do

sometimes get in fantasy. This is just, you've got to dive in and you've got to figure

it out for yourself. So as a reader it can be a little off-putting at first. The

concluding novel was fabulous, and I loved it. Number three is, what's a new

release that you want to get to? And I have two for this. I am just cheating all

over the place with this tag. The first just came in the mail from Book of the

Month and that is Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik. This is a fantasy book,

a companion book? I think it is a companion book set in the same world, I believe, as

Naomi Novik's novel Uprooted, which everybody loved and... I liked. I just liked

it. But I'm hopeful about this! So we shall see. The other new release that I

really want to get to is There There by Tommy Orange. This is literary fiction

that follows several different characters as they relate to the Big

Oakland Powwow. I mentioned this book in my "Most Anticipated Book Releases of the

Summer" video that I did. Very excited to pick this up.

Number four is, what is an anticipated release for the second half of this year?

I'm going with The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory. This is romance, which I'm still

so tentative about, but I read Guillory's first book The Wedding Date. It is

adorable and I loved it a lot. This is a new book in which we follow one of the

side characters from the first book. He now gets his own romance story, and he

was one of my favorite characters from the first book. In this, I just, I heard the

premise and I was like, "Sweet Jesus, this is

amazing! I love this!" He sees a woman get proposed to on a Jumbotron and it's

clear that like she is not into it, so he kind of rescues her, and we go from

there. It is my nightmare to have an incredibly

public proposal, or like public displays of romance like that in any capacity. It

just... Oh no. Mmmmm. I hate it so much! I just... It makes me so wildly uncomfortable.

I just really, really don't like it. So what I heard that was the premise I was

like, "Sign me up!" Number five is, what is the biggest disappointment of the year?

For this I'm going for a whole series, and that is To All the Boys I've Loved

Before by Jenny Han. I love me a good, fluffy, contemporary YA situation

every once in a while. I was in the mood. I was getting on a plane. I wanted

something easy and light and fluffy, and I've heard from so many people that

that's exactly what this series is! Unfortunately, the main love interest is

the worst ever. Gross hyperbole... He's not actually bad, he's just the epitome of

mediocre. He's like doing the bare minimum. The protagonist Laura Jean

in this book she's like oh my goodness he's so nice it's like no he's not he's

not that nice to you he doesn't really care about what you have to say he's

kind of boring he treats you like shit occasionally he does weird shit with his

ex-girlfriend and just not very into it I have the whole series and no other

books with me on this plane flight so I was like time for book two I don't even

care if I'm spoiling things now we were getting a new love interest I was so

excited for an examination on what actual good behavior is and how often

girls and women are conditioned to think the bare minimum of human decency is

something to be lauded rather than something to be expected and I was so

ready for great analysis and then mmm nope I didn't get that so so there's

just there was just a lot of disappointment involved number six is

what did the book that surprised you the most this year and for this I'm going

with a book that I've already talked about and that is the wedding date bike

Jasmine Guillory this surprised me because it is the first romance book

that I've ever read truly non ironically or like not to be a part of the greater

cultural zeitgeist because yes I did in fact read Fifty Shades of Grey because I

wanted to know what everyone was talking about and yes it was as bad as I thought

it was going to be but still I read it this I read not going in expected

I hate it I was very tentative but then it was so fun and lovely and wonderful

and I had a great time it was great and I really really enjoyed it

number seven is your favorite new author this can be a debut author or one that

is just new to you again I'm gonna name multiple authors because this is my

channel and I can do whatever I want the first is Fonda Lee I read her adult

fantasy novel Jade City which is the first in a series and it is so much fun

I loved it it's so great I did a full review on this did I I think I did if my

memory is serving me well today I will leave a link to that so you can check it

out it is super super super fun inspired a lot by martial arts movies and she has

also written a lot of y8 novels that I'm very excited to check out because I

loved this so very much next I have show her out I adored her

short story collection and unrestored Woman I liked her debut novel which is

more and brighter but this I think is stronger she can write a sentence her I

just loved her prose if you like short fiction definitely check this out all of

the stories in this are centered around the partition of India and Pakistan in

1947 and it is so very good 9 is your favorite new character and I am going

again with - sorry I'm not sorry at all the first is asked her from an

unkindness of ghosts I loved that despite how people often treat her so

poorly she retains such kindness and empathy and it's just lovely and she's

so smart and I loved her inquisitiveness all around reading from her perspective

was such a delight in a very dark book she is amazing I loved her and the other

is Cyril from the envelope dossier series this is book 2 the first book it

is amber Lo and it is great but I gave it away to a friend to read so I just

had the sequel which I finished and it's really really good there's follows

several characters and kind of the underground and a vaguely reminiscent of

1920s Germany place where they are in the first book at least trying to combat

the rise of a new fascist regime very cool premise he is a spy he's so deeply

flawed like doesn't want to care about people but dies he is the bit of a

coward but so like tried his best and I just love him he is amazing number 10 is

what's a book that made you cry so I cry easily when it comes to media so I did a

quick little tally we consult my notes I have read 61 books 19 of them have made

me cry which is a whopping 31 percent all books that I have read this year so

you can pick out like almost any book that I've mentioned in this video

probably made me cry but I do want to talk about one in particular that's just

great hunger by Roxane gay this is just like a gut punch of a memoir it made me

cried so many times I had to put it down several times because I was just like I

don't think I could live in this headspace for a prolonged period of time

I need a little break it is amazing gay it's just such a

strong writer I just loved this number 11 is what's a book that made you happy

I'm going with Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones this book is a delight

and every character in it it's just such an idiot and they're so stubborn and I

love them all and I just want to spend time with them there's not a great plot

in this but the book is better served for that I just want to follow these

idiot characters around who I love so very much

I just felt joyful reading this and if I am NOT being clear enough I recommend

this book a whole lot number 12 is what is your favorite adaptation of the year

I haven't been going to the movies very frequently lately and as much as I talk

to my friends about TV I don't actually watch that much TV I start a lot of TV

don't finish anything but one movie that I did see in theaters and really enjoyed

was love Simon which is of course the adaptation of becky albertalli

Simon vs. the Homo sapiens agenda' which is just the cutest little fluffiest why

I contemporary and it is just a lovely quick light read number 13 is what is

your favorite review that you've done this here definitely my read clocks

review back at that our beginning of the year so you should check that out number

14 is what's the most beautiful book that you've bought all year and that

simply must go to the 109th of hero by isabelle greenberg this book is so

gorgeous it's a functionally a standalone graphic

novel although I guess it is a companion book to the encyclopedia of early Earth

I haven't read that but I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything

because I hadn't read that so that's good and it's just it's so beautiful the

art is really really cool and I love the way that she plays with color it is just

all-around gorgeous and it's also wonderful the story in it is so great

number 15 is what book do you wanna get to by the end of the year and I'm just

gonna say all of them that's I'm gonna tag some people so check down

in the description box to see if you're tagged and if you're not too it anyways

it's a pretty fun video thanks so much for watching if you like this video give

it a thumbs up hit subscribe to see more my facing find me on Twitter at possibly

lit and on Instagram and possibly literate and I will see you next time

Is Oral Sex a Sin in Marriage? | Dave and Ashley Willis - Duration: 2:59.

- Hey guys, Dave and Ashley Willis

here with MarriageToday.

And we are excited about today's topic.

It's one of the most common questions that we get.

And it's kind of a hot topic, I guess.

And the question is, cutting right to the chase,

is oral sex a sin in marriage?

And sweetie, why don't you tackle this one?

- And we get that all the time.

I mean, all the time from both husbands and wives.

And you know, when you look in the Bible,

'cause that's where we're gonna go,

that's the best marriage book there is, is the Bible.

And so, when you look in it,

we have not found anything that directly goes against oral

and in fact, if you look to the book of Song of Solomon,

it is very clear that that was going on

in the Book of Song of Solomon

and if you're not familiar with that book,

I highly suggest that you read it.

It's very steamy and it's really this beautiful picture

of a husband and a wife

who are passionately pursuing one another.

And it's very sexual in nature.

- It is, the bottom line, here's the beauty of it.

God made sex, we act like the devil owns it now, right?

And so, 'cause he's tried to hijack it

and try to redefine it but within the gift of marriage,

within the covenant of marriage,

there's a ton of freedom for you

to express your love to one another as long as,

as long as there's mutual consent, right?

If it's one spouse always pressuring the other

to do something, whether it's oral sex or some other act,

then that's gonna create tension.

But as long as there's mutual, it's a safe place.

Your bedroom, your marriage bed

should be the safest place on earth for both of you.

But also a place to express creativity,

a place with a lot of freedom.

And so, just give yourself permission to have fun.

Sex is supposed to be fun in marriage,

and as Christian married couples following God's plan

for sex in marriage, we should be having

the best sex on the planet.

The most uninhibited love making on the planet

because we're using the gift

the way it was meant to be used.

- Exactly and when you look at kinda the boundaries

that are put there for sex,

like Dave said, there's a lot of freedom there.

But it's very clear in the word

that we should not bring other people

into the marriage bed, in person or virtually.

And so, we really need to watch out for things

like pornography and even kinda some of the things

we read and that we can even watch in modern day movies.

We just have to be very careful where our minds go

because it's meant to be focused on one another.

- Right, it's all about each other.

Because all those other things

will try to just train your mind towards lust

and even marriage, you'll be acting out different things

really just to feed that lust

instead of it being an expression of love for one another.

Lust looks at someone just as an object to be used.

Love looks at someone as a soul to be cherished

and within marriage,

it all has to be rooted in that love for each other.

But as long as it is, have fun.

- That's right, have fun.

- Have fun, it's supposed to be fun.

We've got a lot more resources on the subjects of sex

and a lot of other subjects

that can help you with your marriage.

You can click on the link below,

you can subscribe to the YouTube channel

where you'll be the first to know about all the videos

and check out MarriageToday.com

which is a one-stop shop for everything.

There's a ton of free resources there

and we'll continue the conversation there.

Thanks for watching guys.

MID YEAR BOOK FREAK OUT TAG | 2018 - Duration: 10:51.

Hi everyone, it's Sandy and in today's video I'm doing the Mid-Year Book

Freakout Tag and I know it's already halfway through July but I'm doing this

tag anyways. This tag was originally created by Chami from IsThatChami and

Ely from Earl Grey Books. I will leave the link to both of their channels and

their original tag video in the description box below. The first question

in this tag is the best book you've read so far in 2018.

I just can't choose one book for this question so I'm going to choose my top

three so far this year. They are in no particular order but the first one is

The Nowhere Girls by Amy Reed. This book follows three high school girls as

they create this anonymous group to resist the sexist culture at their high

school. This book is amazing. If you like The Female of the Species, I think you

will really enjoy this book as well. The next book that I really loved is

Children of Blood and bone by Tomi Adeyemi. I'm sure you all know what this

book is about but it follows our main character Zelie, who is fighting to bring

magic back to her people. The author frequently describes this book as Black

Panther but with magic. And the third book that I'm choosing for this question

is Renegades by Marissa Meyer. This book has to do with super heroes and super

villains. It follows our two main characters, Nova, who is an anarchist and

then the second character is named Adrian, who is a Renegade. Renegades are

supposedly the super heroes and they are known as the good guys and the

Anarchists are typically known as the bad guys. Nova wants to get revenge on

the Renegades for something that happened in her past. She and Adrian

encounter one another and the story goes from there. As much as I do love the

Lunar Chronicles, I think this is my favorite Marissa Meyer book, and I can't

wait for the sequel. The second question in this tag is the best sequel you've

read so far this year and I honestly haven't read many sequels, but a sequel

that I recently read and really enjoyed is Wildcard by Marie Lu. This is a

sequel and also the final book to the Warcross duology. Warcross is a

sci-fi book. It has to do with virtual reality. Our main character is a hacker

and this book pretty much picks up where the last book left off. I do have to

admit that I didn't enjoy the plot of this book as much as I did with the

first book but I still thought it was a really great sequel, it was action-packed, and

I really liked how the story wrapped up, so this is definitely my favorite sequel

that I've read so far this year. The third question is a new release you

haven't read yet but want to. My for this question is A Reaper at the

Gates by Sabaa Tahir. This is the third book in the Ember in the Ashes series.

The third book came out in June and I haven't gotten around to picking it up

yet. I recently reread the first two books and I really enjoyed it. I forgot

how much I enjoyed An Ember in the Ashes. I actually finished rereading the second

book yesterday, so I really want to jump into the third book, but I don't have a

copy of it yet. I'm waiting for my library hold on it to come through so

hopefully that happens soon. I'm really excited to see where the story goes I've

been hearing a lot of great things about the third book so I can't wait to get my

hands on this book and to pretty much devour it. The fourth question is the

most anticipated release for the second half of the year. I actually recently

posted a video like in May talking about all the books that I'm excited for that

are coming out towards the second half of the year, so definitely check out that

video. I will link it down below but my number one most anticipated would

definitely have to be Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare. This is the

third and final book in The Dark Artifices trilogy. After where the second

book left off, I just really need the third book in my hands. I need to know

how it ends and I heard that it takes place within a span of a week. That kind

of has me nervous I don't know why but oh my god, I'm getting all emotional

again thinking about the ending of the second book but Cassandra Clare has been

posting like little snippets of lines that are in Queen of Air and Darkness and

there was one that she recently posted that just hit me in the feels. I don't

think I'm emotionally ready for the third book to be honest but I'm super

excited for it. The next question is biggest disappointment and I really hate

that I have to choose this book for this question because there really aren't any

other books that I was more disappointed in and that book is From Twinkle, With

Love by Sandhya Menon. If you've seen my June wrap-up, I talked about why I didn't

like this book very much in it, so check that out if you want to hear more

details. This book follows Twinkle, who's an aspiring filmmaker. She has a crush on

this boy named Neil, who has a twin brother named Sahil, who approaches

Twinkle to help direct a movie but as she's working with Sahil, she started to

develop feelings for Sahil, and Sahil does have a crush on Twinkle, it's pretty much

stated at the beginning of the story, but at the same time all of this is

happening, Twinkle is receiving emails from a secret admirer, who she thinks is

Neil. So there's a lot going on when it comes to the romance

and relationship, and I didn't enjoy the secret admirer plot. That's the main

reason why I didn't enjoy this book very much. I felt like it was unnecessary

because I thought it was really predictable who the secret admirer was

and with the secret admirer, it just causes Twinkle to go back and forth with

her feelings for Sahil and I just didn't like that because Sahil was just a

really sweet guy and she was kind of stringing him along and it just really

frustrated me to read about it. I really wanted to love this book but

unfortunately, it became a disappointment because of this whole secret admirer

plot. The next question is biggest surprise and I'm going to have to go

with Ramona Blue by Julie Murphy. When I first picked this book up, I didn't think

I would enjoy this book as much as I did. I actually listened to the audiobook and

I would highly recommend the audiobook. This book follows Ramona, who is working

multiple jobs to help support her family. Her family lives in a trailer. It's just

her, her dad, and her pregnant sister. Her mom is still alive but she's not really

in the picture and she's really unreliable. And one day, this guy named

Freddie moves back to town. Freddie and Ramona used to be pretty good friends

when they were younger but then Freddie moved away, so now he's back in town and

they start hanging out, they're friends all over again. Ramona does like girls and

she never really had an interest in guys but now that she's spending more time

with Freddie, she's starting to develop feelings for him. So this book does have

to do with sexual fluidity and I loved how that was handled throughout the book.

This book is definitely not a story about a girl who meets a guy that turns

her straight. It's so much more than that. I loved all the different relationships

in this book and I also really enjoyed seeing Ramona fall in love with swimming.

Overall, this book was amazing. I really enjoyed it. It's the first Julie Murphy

book that I read. I would highly recommend it. I didn't think I would hate

this book but I also didn't expect to love it as much as I did, and I really

did enjoy this book, so that's definitely my biggest surprise so far this year.

The next question is favorite new author and I have two authors that I wanted to

mention for this question. The first author is Stacey Lee. I actually listened

to her book, Outrun the Moon earlier this year and I just loved it.

It's a YA historical fiction that takes place in the early 1900's in San

Francisco, following our main character Mercy Wong.

She is Chinese American. She's living in Chinatown and she wants to further her

education at this private school but because she's Chinese and she's poor,

she's not allowed to enroll, so she does make a deal with like the principal at

the school and she does get in and the story goes from there. I

really love this book. I saw myself represented in it. The next author that I

wanted to mention is Nic Stone. She is the author of Dear Martin. I read this

book earlier this year. Again, loved it so much. It's a really quick read. It follows

our main character Justyce McAllister, who is set for an Ivy League school. One

day, he and his best friend go on a drive and they're playing really loud music

and they pass this cop, who isn't on duty. Words are thrown around, shots are fired,

Justyce's best friend is shot and killed. This book was just so moving. It

was so powerful. If you love The Hate U Give, you would definitely love this book

as well. Nic Stone does have a book coming out

later this year called Odd One Out. I look forward to reading more from this author

and I can't wait to pick that book up. The next question is newest fictional

crush and I really don't have an answer for this question but if I had to pick

one, I would probably pick Sahil from From Twinkle, With Love by Sandhya Menon.

I know I picked this book earlier for the biggest disappointment but I

really like Sahil's character. There was one thing in this book that he did that

I really didn't like but overall, he was the sweetest guy. He was always super

caring of Twinkle and I just really liked how he and Twinkle interacted

with one another. He's not necessarily my fictional crush but I really liked him

as a love interest. The ninth question in this tag is newest favorite character

and I would probably have to go with Nova from Renegades by Marissa Meyer.

Nova is made out to be the villain in the story but she's just such a complex

character and I loved her for that. I love her and I can't wait to read more of

her in the next book. The next question is a book that made you cry and honestly,

I can't think of any book that had made me cry this year. There have been a

couple books that made me tear up but not necessarily bawling my eyes out, so I

think I'm going to have to pass on this question. The next question is a book

that made you happy and I'm going to go with Leah on the Offbeat by Becky

Albertalli. This is a companion novel to Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. The

thing that made me really happy in this book is seeing Simon and his boyfriend. I

just couldn't stop gushing over them. They are the cutest and they warmed my

heart very much, and speaking of Simon vs., the next question is my favorite

book to movie adaptation that I saw this year I would have to go with Love, Simon,

which is the adaptation for Simon vs. I

honestly don't think I saw many book to movie adaptations in the first half

of this year. There are a few coming out towards the end of the year that I'm

really looking forward to like The Darkest Minds, The Hate U Give, To All

the Boys I've Loved Before. Super excited for all of those book to movie

adaptations but the only one that I saw this year was definitely Love, Simon and

I really enjoyed that movie so that would be my default answer. The next

question is my favorite video that I did so far this year. I started doing more

bookish and reading vlogs this year and I really enjoy filming those, so my

answer would definitely be all the bookish vlogs that I've done lately. The

14th question is the most beautiful book that I bought so far this year and

I know I already chose this book earlier in this tag but I can't help but choose it

again and that is Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi. Just look at

this cover. It's beautiful. There's even a beautiful map in this book and the naked

cover looks beautiful as well and you already know how I feel about this book,

it's amazing, so definitely pick it up if you haven't read it yet, and the last

question for this tag is what books do you need to read by the end of the year.

There are definitely a lot of books that I need to pick up by the end of the year.

I'm planning on filming my summer TBR after I filmed this video so that will

definitely give a good chunk of books that I want to get through before the

end of the year but I definitely do want to pick up Furyborn by Claire Legrand.

What I know about this book is that it follows two main characters. There is a

prophecy in this book about two queens, one is a queen of blood and the other is

a queen of light, and these queens have the ability to perform all seven types

of elemental magic. One of the main characters is named Rielle and she

accidentally exposes her ability to do so, so in order to prove what type of

queen she is she goes through this trial. The trials are very dangerous so she can

die pretty much going through the trials or if she fails in the end, she will be

executed. The other character is Eliana. Her mother has disappeared and she goes

on this dangerous mission with a rebel captain to find her. So this is

definitely a book that I really want to get to before the end of the year. Those

are all the questions for this tag. Thank you so much for watching. I hope you

enjoyed this video, and I will see you next time. Bye!

how to feed tegu - Duration: 7:43.

and my boy, what good to cheat and what he eats everything very well

very well safari take it all we have good hawks

to good

hello bicheros that they are good days and welcome to another video of

okidoki reptile house and let's talk about a topic that many of you have asked us

through the networks in the comments here below and it's how we feed

our tupinambis is worth so much to the buffets like the medians so we're going

to explain it many of you already have you seen in any of the videos that

we have climbed on them that these animals are completely omnivorous what

means this that they eat absolutely of everything when we say everything is of

everything from here of fish fruit vegetables and even a

food then let's start to try today and for which we have made this video

in these videos of which I speak to you we have already done you have seen how

we have given banana as we have given apple as I have shown you vegetables

rat grabs a whole chick and the truth is that everything they love and I believe

that this is the key to a diet of one healthy and balanced diet is worth everything

that is varied in more with animals of this guy who absolutely eat from

all a small note as is already opening animals that we open the

animals that eat fish meat mainly when it comes to building

It stinks a lot and it's something we have to keep in mind if we want to take care of

this type of animals it is not the same to feed animals that

they eat practically vegetables or fruits that animals that eat meat, fish and

this type of food do the digestion and take out the box is

It stinks a lot and for many people this can become unpleasant and

I say this because these animals do not they fit like a load a pretty one that already smells

well have experience if it does not oxidize quite pretty big well

we also have to say that these animals and come as many of

you will know if he does not know it he did not know because he already knows that

does this mean that during a large part of the year they practically eat us and

for another great part of the year Deborah have a feeding response

very very very strong but then with the As time passes, a

little food loses them and they need enormously large quantities of food

to satiate your appetite with this not I want to say that every day

we have to give a lot because if you do not already know what happens with the

reptiles get fat and eventually grow fat a lot I want to say they have to be

obviously fat in their right line everything is a problem everything decides so we

we spend in food what is translates mostly into problems of

liver we usually use banana apple carrot we make a

small mixture of sada is worth the we put and they gladly delay and

we also complement all this with small chick contract with mouse

as I told you now we have some images so you can see how well

respond to these foods but the reason for this video is another day is that

let's try to supplement the diet with other foods is worth what

we are going to try to supplement it with I think of but it's so wet

canned as dry feed which we are going to try to offer in a dry way and we

have informed and probably not what want so what we will do will be one

tell him a little and observe how many of you react

think dog food this is not right this is wrong with these

animals there is eternal debate to the pig nor modes the variety of foods that

they can take is very big this does not means that this food is the best

not much less but we have troubled

read look in ask people to people who have a lot of experience gatti

we go here and they have told us that in truth that there is no problem in fact

Many of them use it as a diet base thing that we will not do because

you can also increase your price a little It is then worth to everyone who decides

those that may be lacking is that as we said before

we want to offer our animals a varied diet ok respect

to the feed that we use is a method dry

we have to have a very clear thing and is that this has to be corn-free

and of rice and because it has to be free of this because the reptiles are not

able to digest this kind of food is worth and the industry uses

these two compounds basically for increase the weight without increasing the cost

that is to say to increase the production of a very cheap way does not make you

absolutely nothing good the both the corn like rice to our reptiles and it's

something that we have to take into account when we try to offer our

animal food of this type is worth remember free

and of rice please is very very important even if we give it to you once

absolutely nothing happens but we do not have to abuse this type of food for

the kitchen can not digest it and the long and short also as it happened

previously they are health problems that we can avoid in a very

simple with whom we have talked about we then send you a

message through a series of publications that we saw and others that

we gave him elsewhere and he was even going details a florida breeder is a

genius creating this kind of animals all what follows nests in general also and

he asked, and told us that nobody no problem

this answer creates a bit of controversy and I say controversy so

that I said earlier there are people who is not at all partisan to feed

to our animals with this kind of food us however we think that

when a person breeds hundreds many hundreds of this type of animals per year

has no problem and has many years of experience

even if it's just a little bit we should hear your opinion your experience

try to put it into practice and this is what are we going to do for ourselves this

you see here on the screen is like I've already said before it's basically it's food from

wet canned dog with type patel, they like it a lot because

besides the smell is very strong as dry They have already told us that dry will cost

a little bit more but we're going to try it so the video is going to

leave here we are going to leave you some images of them eating worth this

kind of food and spent a few weeks a few months or we throw how are they going and what

it seems to us this food so much speaking

of view of animal health as from the economic point of view

okay so thank you very much for having

seen the video I hope that for many has been helpful, it was simply a

little informative and later the next video that we do yes that will be

already speaking on our own experience with this meal is worth and

also the relationship we will do with all the experience that we have feeding with

the rest of the food that we have said is worth fruit meat fish vegetables so

thank you very much for having seen the video let us down what you

it seems this kind of food for our pets for this kind of

pets and you can also leave us down any kind of suggestions

about the videos that you want us to do it's worth so without a big hug and

chelas see you in the next and until then

Joker Origins Gets An Official Title & Release Date - Duration: 2:48.

We're finally getting a Joker origin film from the DC and Warner Bros, and the news,

straight from San Diego Comic Con, may surprise you!

After 2016's Suicide Squad, many fans felt let down by Jared Leto's performance as

the Joker.

To be fair, Leto claimed that many of his scenes were left on the cutting room floor.

And Heath Ledger's groundbreaking performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight ain't easy

to follow up, either.

But now another critically acclaimed actor is stepping up to the plate to play the clown

prince of crime; Joaquin Phoenix.

So, what do we know about this Joker origin movie?

For starters, it's being directed by Todd Phillips, who hasn't really dabbled in the

realm of the superhero genre all that much.

His previous directing credits include all three The Hangover movies, 2004's Starsky

and Hutch and 2000's Road Trip.

He's also behind the screenplay, written by himself and Scott Silver.

Scott Silver on the other hand has got some pretty solid credits under his belt, including

The Fighter and 8 Mile.

Secondly, it's title is simply Joker.

Makes sense.

What can we expect from the film?

Well, the budget has been stated to be around the $55 million range, which is pretty low

budget for a superhero film.

For context, the Justice League film that came out in 2017 had a budget of 300 million

dollars, Suicide Squad had a budget of 175 million dollars, and the first Wonder Woman

film had a budget of $149 million dollars.

The studio has described the film as being a, I quote, "exploration of a man disregarded

by society that is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale."

It's also supposed to feel like a stand-alone film, exploring a much darker and experimental

tone compared to other DC films to come out of Warner Bros.

The film is also meant to explore the Joker's origins and what happened in order for him

to become the twisted criminal mastermind that we all know and love.

In addition to that, apparently Jared Leto isn't gone for good either.

Another solo Joker film is allegedly in the works, centered on his version of the Joker.

So maybe he'll get his chance to show off his Joker properly after all.

That being said, people are quite intrigued about Phoenix's take on the character, with

the actor having finalized his contract with the studio last month.

Joker is set to begin production this September.

And the release date?

It's set for October 4th 2019, just a month prior to DC and Warner Bros' other major

release that year, Wonder Woman 1984.

So what do you all think?

Are you going to go see Joker?

Or are you going to wait until a trailer is released before you make that call?

And what do you all think of Joaquin Phoenix taking up the role?

Let us know all of your thoughts and feels in those comments below!

Blowtorch vs Heat Shield - Duration: 1:36.

Betsy Congdon Lead Engineer for Parker Solar Probe's heat shield. Curtis Wilkerson - Engineer

NASA's Parker Solar Probe is exploring the Sun.

Engineers show us the strength of the spacecraft's protective shield.

Betsy: Here we have a

piece of the heat shield for Parker Solar Probe

which is a sandwich panel, made of carbon

that is like the graphic epoxy you might find in your golf clubs or your tennis rackets

some carbon foam, and then another piece of carbon-carbon on the back.

It's very light weight, as you can see. And here I've got a blowtorch

and I'm gonna use it to get the front surface of this glowing hot.

And then we will have a nice demonstrator come in and touch the back with his hands.

Let's get this started.

30 seconds later

Betsy: You can start seeing it glowing red. The real heat shield gets up

to about 2500 degrees Fahrenheit which we're not going to do today.

But we are going to get it to a couple of hundred degrees Fahrenheit.

It's glowing pretty good now. Curtis, why don't you touch the back surface of that?

What does it feel like?

Curtis: Pretty cool

Betsy: "Nice and cool," he says. Which is just how we like it. Keeping the spacecraft cool.

Why Won't it Melt? How NASA's Solar Probe will Survive the Sun - Duration: 2:55.

music

Narrator: NASA's Parker Solar Probe is a mission to explore the Sun. How can it do that?

Why won't the spacecraft melt? Excellent questions.

You can't face off with the sun without packing the right gear.

This is why Solar Probe is equipped with a white shield that reflects heat off the front and keeps things cool in the back.

Betsy Congdon: The heat shield is made of a couple of different materials.

One is of carbon carbon which is a lot like the graphite epoxy

you might see in your golf clubs or tennis rackets, but it's been super heated.

The inside is a carbon foam which is another form of carbon which

is about 97% air. It's a very light weight way of making

a very strong structure.

Narrator: Nobody likes a needy explorer. Solar Probe can take care of itself, thank you very much,

and that's because it has autonomy software that will keep its instruments safe and cool behind the heat shield.

We are too far away to joystick it into place,

so it basically has to always be sensing whether

or not the heat shield is in the right position and correct itself

if it isn't. There are these things called solar limb sensors,

just poking out at the very edge of the shadow. If those get illuminated,

the spacecraft knows, "Oh, I'm going the wrong direction," and can actually right itself.

Narrator: It's important to stay hydrated in the Sun, even for a spacecraft!

Solar Probe circulates water to keep the solar cells

from overheating. It stays cool and keeps power.

Betsy: Basically water flows behind the solar arrays and into the radiators,

so the water warms up behind the solar cells and then cools

down at the radiator that heat transfer is happening a lot like

the veins in your body

Narrator: Yes, you read right: Heat is not the same as temperature. Temperature is a measurement, but heat is an energy transfer.

This matters because Solar Probe will be

visiting the sun's outer layer, the corona. Like all stars,

the Sun is made of plasma. How tightly packed that plasma is

depends on the layer. While the Sun's corona has a very high temperature

the plasma particles are fairly spread out, so even though the temperature

in the corona is 2- to 3-million degrees Fahrenheit,

the heat around the spacecraft is manageable.

Betsy: The corona and where we are going is actually not that dense at all, there's only a couple particles.

Those are very hot, but we aren't touching a lot of them.

So, it's kind of like when you put your hand into an oven. The oven might be at 400 degrees Fahrenheit,

but your hand isn't going to be at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Narrator: Thanks to its design and destination, this cool, confident spacecraft is all set to explore.

We can just sit back and chill, as Parker Solar Probe takes the heat.

O que me fez mudar dos EUA? Why did I leave the U.S.? (ENGLISH VIDEO) - Duration: 8:42.

Hello and welcome.

I am Jackie from the YouTube channel ASK JACKIE and this video is going to be entirely in

English so that you can practice your listening comprehension.

And many of you guys have been asking me for some tips on how you can improve your speaking

and your listening, and there really is no better way than actually practicing.

So, the platform italki is the perfect opportunity for you.

You can go through the list of hundreds of teachers.

You can look at their pictures, read their profiles, watch the introductory videos, in

which they talk a little bit about themselves and their methods.

And you can choose the teacher that looks the most interesting to you.

And you can choose various types of teachers.

If you want a teacher with a specific accent or a specific background, you can find all

of that on the platform.

So, I highly recommend that you really take advantage of this.

Nowadays, we have the internet and it's so easy to talk one-on-one with other native

speakers.

And this is so important.

You really have to do this if you want to improve your language skills.

So, in the description below this video, you will find a link.

And if you decide to take classes with italki, you will earn an extra $10 in credits towards

these classes.

So, take a look at the description of the video and get started.

So, the topic of this video is a question that I get a lot, and many of you guys want

to know a little bit about me, and I think that's very important.

If I'm going to be teaching you, I think you should get to know me a little bit better.

So, in this video I'm going to talk to you about what my life was like in the U.S. before

I came to Brazil.

So, I came to Brazil the very end of 2009.

So I've been living in Brazil for almost 9 years.

Very crazy.

Um.

And before I came to Brazil, I was working in the Chicago Public Schools.

At the time, I was working as a School Counselor, but prior to that, I had worked as a Spanish

teacher.

My undergrad degree, which we say "My Bachelor's Degree" was in Spanish and Secondary Education.

And I took a test so that I was certified to teach Spanish in middle schools and high

schools.

So a middle school would be 5th grade - 8th grade and high school is 9th grade - 12th

grade, but I always worked at the high school level.

So my very first job was a high school Spanish teacher.

I worked at an all girls Catholic school in Chicago, and it was a really great experience.

Then I went on to get my Masters in School Counseling and I worked at a high school in

Chicago, a Chicago Public School, called Lincoln Park High School.

I started out as a Spanish teacher and then I worked as a high school guidance counselor.

I definitely had a wonderful life in Chicago.

There was nothing bad about it at all.

I had great friends and family, but I was in this phase of my life in which I felt a

little bit lost.

I had a good job, but I still wasn't sure if this was the job I wanted to have for the

rest of my life.

And I often found myself counting down the days to the weekend, or counting down the

weeks until the next vacation or break from school.

Counting down the years even until retirement, and I felt like I was just wishing my life

away.

And I know this is something very common, especially when we're in our 20s.

I'm not in my 20s any more, but um.

When we're in our 20s, it is a transition phase.

We spend our whole lives going to school, preparing ourselves for when we graduate college,

and then we graduate college and we start working and we think "Is this it?"

"Is this what I'm going to do for the rest of my life?"

One thing that I really highly recommend is to not let fear take over.

Okay?

So don't be too afraid to do something.

Especially while you're young.

When you're younger and you're single and you don't have a family, you can take more

risks because you're not hurting other people potentially while taking these risks.

And I know for me one thing that really helped me to make the decision to leave my life in

Chicago.

I remember asking myself "Okay, Jackie, what will you regret more

when you're 80 years old?"

So I was imagining myself as this 80+ year old woman.

What would I regret more?

Would I regret staying where it's comfortable and safe and probably having a great life?

Or would I regret um going maybe to South America or another country and trying something

different?

And when I asked myself this question, it was so clear to me that I really would regret

not taking advantage of that time in my life, where I didn't have a family and a lot of

responsibilities, and just trying something a little bit riskier.

So, my decision to come to South America was not just like spinning a globe and hitting

a place on the map.

I had always loved the Latin American culture.

I felt a really strong pull.

I always hung out with other people who spoke Spanish and once I decided to come to Brazil

for carnival....a couple friends of mine and I we started taking Portuguese classes.

And I remember my first Portuguese class, I thought "Oh my God, this is so different.

What a difficult language."

But with time and practice, it got a little bit easier and now I, obviously, I love it.

I think it's a very beautiful language.

I always loved working with the English learners.

I loved working with that population of people that were immigrants to the United States

and they were learning English because it was something that was so important to them

and it was such a gift for them to really learn how to speak and communicate effectively.

That it was just such a rewarding profession and today it continues to be extremely rewarding

because I know how important English is to all of you that are trying to learn.

Back to the story.

So when I was working as a school counselor, I came to Brazil for carnival and I fell in

love with the country.

I absolutely loved it.

And again this was at the point of my life, where I was also recently single and not quite

sure what I wanted to do, and I'm like "I need to go."

So, I came to Brazil in...when was it?

The end of September in 2009 and I quickly found a place to live, I found work, and two

weeks later, I met my husband.

So, if, by any chance, you are a little bit unsure about your career path or even your

life path, I think it's very important to do two things.

1) To really trust your gut.

We say like listen to your instincts, listen to your intuition and pay attention to things

that make you feel good.

Pay attention to what you like reading about.

Pay attention to what you would do for free that really fills your soul.

That makes you feel good, okay?

So that's definitely one thing.

2) The second thing is to take action.

Don't just think your way into clarity.

A lot of times we need to take action and try different things.

Start working in whatever field it is that you are interested in working in.

Start taking classes.

Start talking to people.

Start volunteering.

Do whatever you can just to learn more.

And by taking action, you will gain a lot more clarity than just sitting and thinking

about it.

So, I hope this video has also been great listening practice for you.

Uh, I do plan on creating more all-English videos with subtitles for you guys.

Uh and you can repeat and watch the video as many times as you want.

I actually think that's great to do.

Every time you watch the video, you're going to hear something different.

Or what you learned the first time around will just be reinforced.

So, if you guys have other topics that you would like me to talk about in English, please

let me know in the comments below.

You guys can also follow me on instagram and facebook.

I'll leave all the links in the description.

And don't forget about that italki offer.

Everything is in the description below.

Have a wonderful day, guys, and remember if you have any questions, ASK JACKIE.

Bye bye

The Evolution Of The Xenomorph (Animated) - Duration: 3:02.

Unravelling the Xenomorph life-cycle is quite the task.

From the Facehuggers to the mysterious black goo, let's piece this puzzle together.

The original "Alien" film depicts the Xenomorph beginning it's life cycle as a Fleshy

Egg, which, when approached, releases a crab-like Facehugger that attaches itself to a human

face.

Eventually, the Facehugger lets go, and the slithering Chestburster breaks through from

the chest of the host.

Within a few hours, the Chestburster grows into the bio-mechanical looking Xenomorph,

with a translucent domed head and an extra-snapping jaw.

The sequel, "Aliens", features Xenomorphs with ridged heads and extra defence appendages

on their arms.

A Queen Alien is also depicted in this film and produces a fleshy egg every few seconds.

In "Alien3," a Facehugger uses a dog (or an Ox) as a host, resulting in a quadrupedal

Xenomorph.

This Xeno is the first to appear noticeably less bio-mechanical, and for this film only,

is lacking it's back dorsal tubes.

The domed head, while less translucent, makes a reappearance.

"Alien: Resurrection" depicts Xenomorphs with longer tails and arms, perfect for swimming.

As a result of DNA splicing, a pale Alien-Human-Clone-Hybrid is born... but not even a mother could love

it.

In the first "Alien vs Predator" film, Xenomorphs appear similar to those from Resurrection,

aside from the Alien that dons an artful Grid on it's skull.

This time, Xenomorphs go face to face with Predators, culminating in the birth of a Predalien

Chestburster.

In the sequel, "Alien Vs Predator: Requiem," Xenomorphs have ridged heads again.

The Predalien Chestburster from the previous film matures, resulting in an Alien with Predator

traits.

It's stated in these crossover films that there has been an ongoing fight between Predators

and Aliens since Egyptian times, which contradicts the following film's time-line, so, uh...

let's forget about that.

The prequel, Prometheus, introduces god-like beings called Engineers and black-goo, which

can alter DNA in mysterious ways.

An android called David gets a hold of the goo and uses it to infect a scientist, who

gets busy with his girlfriend and creates the premature squid-like Trilobite.

The Trilobite grows, and uses an Engineer as a host, producing a smooth alien called

a Deacon.

The prequel-sequel, Alien: Covenant, depictsplants being affected by the black-goo, creating

egg-sacks.

When the sacks are disturbed, spores are released and enter a human through any orifice.

Once a host is infected the spiky-backed Bloodburster will burst out, first in quadrupedal form,

then evolving into the bipedal standing Neomorph.

Meanwhile, the android David continues experiments with the goo, mixing it with human cells and

other mystery pieces to make a Xenomorph egg-sac and Facehugger.

He finds a human host, and soon a tiny nearly fully-formed version of the Xenomorph bursts

out of the human experimentee.

It grows into a thin and more organic looking Xenomorph, leading many to call this a Proto-morph

– but whether David was working from a blueprint or his own invention isn't known.

What we do know is that Ridley Scott will surely release another Alien film that changes

the life-cycle yet again, rendering this entire video completely worthless.

Sobreviveremos a um oceano de microplásticos? | MARES LIMPOS #4 - Duration: 12:41.

These are the vaquitas, a species of the dolphin family that exists only in the Gulf of California.

They are the rarest marine mammals to be found in nature.

Not only because they are shy, but mainly because they are on the verge of extinction.

It is believed that fewer than 12 individuals remain in the wild.

Several measures have already been taken by NGOs, preservation institutes and the Mexican and US governments.

None of this has prevented the population from falling dramatically in recent years,

to the point of being declared extinct in the coming months.

The main cause of the death of the Vaquitas is predatory fishing, which aims not at them, but another species of fish called totoaba

also typical of the region and also threatened with extinction.

The increasing search for the totoaba bladder, which is highly valued in the Chinese market,

is considered as the major cause of the risk of extinction of these two species.

This is a dramatic example of how marine life is threatened by human activity.

And while predatory fishing is by itself a huge threat,

studies show that there is another great risk that we are bringing to the oceans,

a much quieter and almost invisible one

Millions of pieces of plastic the size of these grains of sand.

Much of this plastic comes from fishing nets that hunt the totoabas and kill the vaquitas.

When these nets are abandoned at sea, they continue to kill thousands of animals that wrap around them.

And then they dissolve and turn into microplastic, joining

with more than 8 million tons of plastic every year we throw in the oceans.

And there is an announced tragedy.

The preliminary research on plastic that we really noticed were the big plastic.

The one that you can see with your naked eye, but then we started to look in our lab at smaller plastics that was harder to see.

And we counted over 34 thousand pieces of plastic.

Over 90% of them were smaller than one square centimeter.

I then went back for my research and looked at even smaller plastics than that.

About a million times more plastic that we had been counting.

So, it's microscopic, it's actually the most abundant plastic, it's the really really tiny stuff.

This is the ORV Alguita, Captain Charles Moore's boat.

This guy is the guy who first identified a high concentration of plastic in the North Pacific Ocean.

And he's the guy who inspired me to create the Menos 1 Lixo.

In fact, the Movement Menos 1 Lixo was created so that less plastic arrived in the ocean and did not contribute to this great concentration.

Well, the area that we call the North Pacific Gyre is as remote as you can get from human civilization anywhere on Earth.

It's halfway between Hawaii and the mainland of California.

So when I was returning from Honolulu in 1997

kinda an unique year, because it was the largest El Niño ever recorded in the Pacific

It flattened the water, virtually from Hawaii to the mainland. It was completely calm.

So It gave all that plastic that was there a chance to float to the surface.

Gyre is a natural phenomenon.

It's just a huge spinning current system that's comprised of the rotation of the Earth with winds and currents.

So it essentially creates a huge whirlpool in the ocean, where plastic from land get trapped and and concentrated.

We hit the ground running in 2010 with an expedition across the South Atlantic,

the South Pacific, the Indian Ocean, the eastern half of the North Atlantic and then returned to the North Pacific.

And we found that this is truly a global issue.

Recently, other research expeditions by Captain Moore's team have identified a second large concentration of plastic

this time in the South Pacific, between the equatorial line and the coast of Chile.

Which means, the plastic is really everywhere.

When we did our trip across the South Atlantic Gyre, from Rio de Janeiro to Cape Town in South Africa and then Namibia back to Uruguay.

What we found is pretty much consistent with what we find in other gyres.

Sample, after sample, after sample, after sample, of an entire month that looks like a handful of fragments.

Broken down fragments of plastics, mixed with marine life, with plankton, and krill and portuguese man'o war.

When we pulled up our net, and looked at the contents after sampling out there,

we've determined six kilos of plastic for every kilo of plankton in the net.

No one could ignore this anymore, even Marine Debris Conferences we're not focused on plastic before that time.

But now, it's all focused on plastic and the amount has growing exponentially.

Since the 1950s, an absurd amount of plastics has already been produced.

Scientists estimate that this amount is greater than 8.3 billion metric tons manufactured.

It's like this: If everyone on the planet had a car and then we added up the weight of all these cars

that would be the same amount of waste that has been produced and that often ends up in the oceans.

And this is a problem of global scale. ,

I'm here in San Diego, at the Sixth International Marine Debris Conference, where activists

experts and environmentalists discuss what to do to address this problem.

70% of the trash that is in the oceans, of the big ones that we can see with the naked eye, are ghost fishing gears.

These gears are fishing nets that are abandoned, lost, or discarded in the oceans.

They have a lot to do with illegal fishing,

so when the surveillance comes, they usually throw the fishing nets into the oceans and because of the currents,

these fishing nets are carried to every corner of the world.

And these nets will break and turn microplastics.

So we can't trace it from whether it came from a fishing net or not, we don't have much data

but we know that the gears turns into microplastics and that there are more than 640 thousand tons

of fishing nets that are discarded every year. It gives about a ton per minute.

When we think about microplastics, in many instances, they may actually just be broken down fragments

of bigger consumer plastics, but I think that sometimes we forget that gear that is unintentionally lost in the ocean

they continue to killing animals for a long time and so when we think about ocean impact we can't overlook fishing gear

as a very real threat to the ocean and the animals who live there.

Globally, there are more than 136,000 whales, dolphins, seals, trapped and strangled and killed every year because of these fishing nets.

Since 2001: - 9 sperm whales killed by plastic in the Mediterranean -One of them with almost 30 kg of plastic in the stomach

It is estimated that 50% of sea turtles have already ingested plastic

A research found plastic in all that were studied in South Brazil

90% of seabirds have already ingested plastic

Between 1950 and 2010, their population fell almost 70%

It's estimated that 10 to 15% of the species that are tradable are caught by ghost fishing gears.

So this is an economic problem as well, because the fishing industry itself is being impacted by the waste it's generating

So now more than 57% of the fish stocks have already been exploited to the point where you cannot fish anymore.

And a large number of the rest are already over exploited and are no longer able to recover.

So fishing activity is collapsing and the fishing industry is also contributing to this when it loses these fishing nets.

And these things degrades to microplastics, that then enters the marine food chain and comes to us and is already at our table.

Even animals like whales, that eat plankton can really be affected.

So, even though this plastic is really tiny and you maybe not seeing it

it's affecting the tiniest animals at the bottom of the food chain most.

Because the microplastic, when its broken down, it enters the food web in a lot of different steps.

These are the lantern fish, a major prey for tuna, salmon, some species of dolphins and whales and many other marine animals

They're a key part of the life cycle of oceans around the world.

The lantern fish, in turn, feeds on plankton.

But what you're seeing is not plankton.

This is a microplastic, about the right size to be swallowed by lantern fish, which confuses them with food.

In addition to BPA, which is a chemical compound released by the plastic itself, every bit of it also accumulates several other pollutants found in ocean waters:

PCBs, DDTs and HAPs, industrial products that cause hormonal changes, heart and vision problems, poor fetal development and mainly cancer.

These plastics, they bind to persistent organic pollutants, which are what?

They are the remains of agroindustry.

It is the pesticides that end up being taken to sea and are floating there. So we are consuming plastic, we are consuming pesticides.

And these products, when they enter our system they are endocrine disruptors, so they cause problems in our endocrine system, they are carcinogenic.

So there are a number of impacts on our health that people are unaware of.

So we really need to inform the consumer, inform people and people

to get this information to consume things in a much more conscious and responsible way.

So the first thing to do is inform yourself.

Identify which species we can consume that are less threatened, whenever possible obtain certified products

because in these certification mechanisms we know that fishing is not illegal, we know that it has sustainability criteria there,

so the chances for consuming a product that has an environmental impact is much smaller.

The fishing industry must also become responsible for the nets, so whenever they lose them, they report.

And when it is a net that is no longer used, give it a correct destination

there are already many people buying this material, because it is often nylon, of high quality,

that can be reused to make new nets or to do a series of others products

but people do not communicate this, because they still have a culture that this is a byproduct because it is made from recycled garbage.

So we have to break this culture, these things have a huge added value

and companies have to say that and the consumer has to prioritize this type of product.

Just to remembering that the fishing net is not the only source of plastic in the oceans,

so always, always, whenever you can, say no to disposable straws, bags, and cups.

I already said that, but I will always repeat.

And the challenge of this week, for you who like me, want to keep our seas cleaner, is to collect trash!

That's right, and regardless if you live near or far from the sea, your trash, when it's not correctly disposed, ends up here.

About this I said in episode 2.

If you lost it, There's a link here in the description below.

So this week, you can pick up five different trash on your way. If the path is by the beach, or at the edge of a river, even better.

Enjoy and share this video with your friends, give a like and subscribe to the channel, because together we are stronger.

• Why I'm Going Back to Battlefield 4 | My Problems With Battlefield 1 - Battlefield 4 - Duration: 5:13.

So I've decided to go back to Battlefield 4, despite the fact that Battlefield 1 is

still the most recent title, at least until Battlefield V comes out.

Now this video is purely personal so the problems I have with this game might be very different

from what you might enjoy, but this change has been a long time coming.

I've been a fan of the Battlefield franchise for over a decade.

Over those years I've played every new title the franchise has released.

Battlefield 1 is the first game over many years that I have consistently struggled to

enjoy.

On the 30th of June, I posted a picture pretty much summarizing how I've been feeling about

the game.

In it I described how I wasn't enjoying myself as much as I used to due to the competitive

nature of being a YouTuber and playing online related games.

That still holds true but the problem can also be summarized within the game itself.

Battlefield 1 is easily one of the most unbalanced titles I have ever played within the franchise,

of course that's my personal opinion, you might feel a little bit different.

I've been posting YouTube videos for about 2 years, during the first few months I would

often cover Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline, two games I really enjoyed, despite

the backlash Battlefield Hardline did receive.

We then progressed to Battlefield 1 where the first few months were great, but as players

unlocked the best weapons, as well as figuring out plane exploits, it really took a toll

on the way I like to play.

I'm a huge infantry guy, I love supporting my team mates with the medic or the support

class, not really being much of a fan of the engineer class.

With the current situation amongst the vehicles, I felt persuaded to use the assault class

because I was tired of competing against the same players who dominate the entire match

in a tank or plane.

The problem mostly comes in when I'd be the only player trying to take out these vehicles,

which is almost impossible when the opposing team has a heavy tank and you're the only

one shooting at it.

Assault class players are more interested in racking up kills with three of the best

weapons in the game, than playing the way the assault class is meant to be played.

In Battlefield 4 players were heavily criticized for using the engineer class in a game of

team deathmatch and domination, now that's pretty much all you see in Battlefield 1 because

they have weapons like the Hellriegel, SMG 08/18 and the Automatico.

The standards have shifted so much that the game is more about who can get the most kills,

than who can be the best team player while doing extremely well.

This is evident with just how much the assault class is being used compared to other setups.

Furthermore planes are too influential on infantry gameplay.

If we go back to Battlefield 3 or Battlefield 4, jets had very little effect on ground combat.

A skilled player can throw a spanner in the works but they don't downright dominate

the entire match.

I've seen far too many players going flawless and racking 70 or more kills, just be sticking

in a plane.

The very same people who defend planes are the same ones who rely on them for doing well,

telling players who can't compete with them to "get good" when in fact they are the

ones relying on exploits to do well.

Here's a good example.

I was playing a match on Sinai Desert where there was a heavy sandstorm taking place.

I could barely see what was in front of me, let alone was above me.

During that match I was killed by the same player, 3 times in a row, while he was using

a bomber.

You can't see them but they can see you due to the unnatural 3D spotting taking place.

They also somehow know you're in a building because I've died by strafing runs on numerous

occasions while trying to avoid them.

The reason I'm going back to Battlefield 4 is because I'm no longer enjoying Battlefield

1.

If you aren't enjoying something, why do it?

Previous Battlefield games nailed the land to air combat to the point where I'd much

rather play that than what we currently have on offer and seeing that Battlefield V will

be making even more changes to planes and 3D spotting, it's clear they see an issue

with it as well.

All seriousness aside, I love spending the entire match in an AA gun, racking up easy

kills on planes that often get on my nerves, but you can only do so much until you need

to play the objective.

So from here on out, I'll be posting more Battlefield 4 gameplay on my recent videos.

Every now and then I might go back to Battlefield 1, but I'd much rather keep my main focus

on Battlefield 4 and Battlefield V. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this video, smash

that like button if you did and hopefully I'll see you in the next one.

Bye!

$1 Microphone for Triggers Vs $200 Microphone for Whispers ASMR - Duration: 22:06.

Hello.

How are you today?

Me? I'm fine, thank you.

So I thought that I should make a new $1 mic and $200 mic video.

Why? Well...

The first video reached one million views recently so...

No, that's not the reason. I just wanted to make this video.

So, I'm going to whisper in the $200 mic

and I'll record some trigger sounds with the small $1 mics.

And, as a lot of people said in the first video that I was using the same mic,

I've put some blue tape here so that you can see the little mics.

They are here.

OK, so let's get started.

Police Wrongly Accuse 10 Black Students of Leaving IHOP Without Paying $62 Bill - Duration: 3:56.

Police in suburban St. Louis are conducting an internal review after ten black college students were wrongly accused of dining and dashing at IHOP on a $62 tab

According to the Associated Press, the students, who are all incoming freshman at Washington University, were stopped by two officers around 12:30 a

m. on July 8 while they were walking to a MetroLink station after dining at the IHOP in Clayton, Missouri

Police chief Kevin Murphy said the restaurant manager had informed police that a group of young black men left without paying

The students—some of whom were carrying to-go bags and showed receipts to prove they paid for their meal—agreed to return to the IHOP to speak with the manager, the AP reports

The university, which is backing the students as they were on campus for a five-week summer program designed to help them transition to college life, said in a statement to the AP that six squad cars escorted the students back to the restaurant

Murphy said it was four police cars.  Stephanie Peterson, a spokesperson for IHOP, tells PEOPLE in a statement that two groups of young men dined in the restaurant that evening, one of which paid for their meal and another that didn't

She said that upon this group's return to the restaurant, management "immediately informed officers" that they had the wrong customers and confirmed that they had paid for their meal

"For 60 years, IHOP has been a welcoming and safe place for those in our communities," Peterson said, "and we continue to strive to be a place where all people feel comfortable

"  Authorities then informed the group they were free to leave, but the incident sparked backlash from the students' parents and the university

Starbucks Announces Policy Change After Arrest of 2 Black Men: 'Any Person Who Enters Is Considered a Customer'  "The fact that these ten students, all of whom are African American, were scared and humiliated is unacceptable to us," Washington University vice chancellor for public affairs Jill Friedman told the AP in a statement

"It is extremely disappointing that they have been so seriously let down, even before the official start of their first semester," she added

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Rob Wild, the associate vice chancellor for student transition and engagement, said the students were "shaken and upset" and that the group "did not really appear to fit the description of the suspects other than being black

"  "This is obviously extremely disappointing," Wild told the news outlet. "Not how any of us would like to welcome our new students

"  According to the Post-Dispatch, Murphy offered to meet with the students and, while he did apologize for the incident, he told the AP that this specific IHOP location has reported 45 instances of customers skipping out on their tabs this year

"I'm not sure how you handle the situation differently when you're called for service," he said

Can you talk to a therapist online? Online Therapy for Anxiety & Depression - Duration: 5:31.

Welcome.

My name is Peter Strong.

I'm a professional psychotherapist based in Boulder, Colorado and I offer online therapy

via Skype for treating anxiety and depression So, can you talk to a therapist online?

Yes you can.

You can talk to a therapist online for non-medical conditions such as anxiety and depression

and other common emotional problems.

The whole purpose of online therapy is really to help you develop skills for working with

your anxiety or depression to learn how to overcome your anxiety or depression without

using medications or medical treatment.

And it's very easy to get started all you need is Skype.

If you want to talk to a therapist online you really should use some form of video interface

like Skype so that you can see each other as well as talk to each other.

The visual component makes communication very much more effective and that will improve

the effectiveness of your therapy sessions.

And if you're using Skype then really the online therapy becomes just as good as meeting

a therapist in person.

Especially when the focus is on teaching new methods and practical ways of working with

your emotions.

I specialize in mindfulness therapy which is becoming very popular indeed because it's

so effective for treating anxiety and depression and it also helps a great deal with other

conditions like addiction recovery, and PTSD is another area that I offer online therapy

for through Skype.

The main the main focus in Mindfulness Therapy is teaching you how to fundamentally change

the way that you relate to your mind, to your thoughts and emotions, to trauma, to beliefs,

whatever it might be, but particularly to thoughts and emotions.

Many people are plagued by intrusive thoughts and excessive worry thoughts, catastrophizing,

rumination etc., and this sort of reactive thinking fuels anxiety and depression.

So learning to change your relationship to thoughts so that you don't become overwhelmed

by the thinking mind, that you can observe thoughts but not become lost in the river

of thoughts that might get triggered.

That's very important indeed and that's one of the skills that I will be teaching you

during the online therapy sessions.

And the second set of skills are based on helping the emotion underneath the thoughts,

the emotion of anxiety or depression or fear that is fueling those thoughts.

Helping it heal.

Helping it resolve itself, which is largely a result of forming a very conscious friendly

and non-reactive relationship with your emotions and thoughts.

When you get that relationship right then you stop feeding the emotion underneath the

thoughts and that basically starts to take the energy away from reactive thinking and

the thoughts begin to diminish in intensity and frequency by themselves.

There are other aspects of mindfulness therapy that we use to help heal the emotions underneath

our thoughts.

If you'd like to learn more and you'd like to get started with me and schedule an online

therapy session using Skype then do please go to my website and then email me and we

can arrange for a time that works for you wherever you live in the USA Canada or Western

Europe or worldwide.

As long as you have an internet connection you can schedule Skype Therapy sessions with

me.

So please contact me now.

Thank you.

George Soros Obama Is Greatest Disappointment To 'New World Order' - Duration: 10:31.

George Soros: Obama Is Greatest Disappointment To 'New World Order'

Billionaire globalist George Soros has blasted Barack Obama for being his "greatest disappointment"

in failing to advance the New World Order agenda.

During a wide-ranging interview published in the New York Times on Tuesday, Soros described

the former President as inept in neutralizing the threat Trump poses to the global elite.

The billionaire also appeared to distance himself from the Democratic party.

Foxnews.com reports: At another part of the interview, he told the paper that Obama "closed

the door" on him after he secured the presidency.

"He made one phone call thanking me for my support, which was meant to last for five

minutes, and I engaged him, and he had to spend another three minutes with me, so I

dragged it out to eight minutes," he said.

Soros told the paper the he had hoped to have been consulted on economic and financial issues,

and that Obama was known to "take his supporters for granted and to woo his opponents."

Soros, who also poured millions of dollars into Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential

run, wouldn't say if he would back Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in the upcoming presidential

election, but said when it comes to politics, "I don't particularly want to be a Democrat."

While speaking with The Times, Soros praised Arizona Sen. John McCain and said the main

priority of his political activism was to promote bipartisanship – noting that Republicans

on the far right led him to become one of the top funders for the Democratic Party.

But as Democrats set their eyes on November and the midterm election push to regain control

of the House of Representatives, the long-term goal of ensuring a Democrat resides in the

Oval Office in 2020 remains the party's glaring concern – as well as where Soros

will lend his financial support.

Soros expressed displeasure with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., for her use of the #MeToo

movement that led to the removal of Al Franken from Congress.

"She was using #MeToo to promote herself," he told the paper.

"He made one phone call thanking me for my support, which was meant to last for five

minutes, and I engaged him, and he had to spend another three minutes with me, so I

dragged it out to eight minutes."

– George Soros on Obama

Although neither Gillibrand nor her aides have confirmed that she is going to make a

presidential run, there are reports of extensive fundraising as well as her outreach to young

people and communities of color that play well with one of the most serious anti-Trump

voting records in the Senate.

Soros has contributed upwards of $15 million to support Democrats in the midterm elections,

and told the paper for every Trump supporter "there is more than one Trump enemy who

will be more intent, more determined."

When asked about where he views his political ideology, Soros told The Times "I'm opposed

to the extreme left," he said.

"It should stop trying to keep up with the extremists on the right."

Well, you hold the line

When every one of them is giving up or giving in, tell me, in this house of mine

nothing ever comes without a consequence or cost

tell me

will the stars align?

Will heaven step in? Will it save us from our sins?

Cause, this house of mine stands strong

That's the price you pay

Leave behind the heartache, castaway

Just another product of today

rather be the hunter than the prey

and you're standing on the edge face-up

Cause you're a natural

A beating heart of stone

you gotta be so cold

to make it in this world

Yeah, you're a natural, living your life cutthroat

you gotta be so cold, yeah you're a natural

Will somebody let me see the light behind the dark trees shadows and

What's happening?

Lookin' through the glass, find the wrong within the past

Oh, we are the youth

Call out to the beast, not a word without the peace, facing

a bit of truth, the truth

That's the price you pay

Leave behind your heartache, castaway

Just another product of today

rather be the hunter than the prey

and you're standing on the edge face-up

cause you're a natural

a beating heart of stone

you gotta be so cold to make it in this world

yeah, you're a natural living your life cutthroat

you gotta be so cold, yeah you're a natural

deep inside me I'm fading to black, I'm fading

Took an oath by the blood of my hand, won't break it

I can taste it, the end is upon us, I swear --

I'm gonna make it, I'm gonna make it

cause I'm a natural, a beating heart of stone

you gotta be so cold to make it in this world

yeah, you're a natural living your life cutthroat

you gotta be so cold, yeah you're a natural
