Youtube daily report Jul 2 2018

Hey there and welcome to Life Noggin.

Triangle Bobert snuck into my lab and hit the big red button on the half gravity machine

I told him not to go next to.

I probably should have made the button a little smaller.

That was my fault.

I was able to reverse everything, but it did have me thinking, what if this happened to

your world.

What if earth only had half its gravity?

Well first off, just what is gravity?

In general, we can define gravity as an attractive force that pulls two bodies together.

It's what keeps all of the planets in orbit around the sun and what keeps you from floating

off into space.

And anything with mass has gravity.

The more massive something is, the greater its gravitational pull.

So a big, massive planet like the Earth is going to pull you toward it a lot more than

one of my small pizza bagels will.

lemme just in here really quick.

Delicious.

Distance also matters with gravity.

The closer you are to something, the more gravity is going to draw you toward it, and

the farther away you are, the weaker the gravitational force will be.

Not only that, but gravity isn't even the same everywhere on Earth.

According to NASA and data from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment, gravity is

ever so slightly stronger over places on Earth with higher concentrations of mass.

And these concentrations can even change over time.

But what would happen if the gravity here on Earth was suddenly cut in half?

It's pretty hard to tell /exactly/ what would happen, especially since whatever would

cause this sudden change would likely have other effects, but if we look at the universe

around us, we can get a good idea of what /might/ happen.

To start off, you'd probably lose a bunch of weight.

That's because our weight isn't actually a constant.

It changes depending on where we are in the universe since it's determined by how much

gravity is acting upon us.

For instance, if you weigh 100 Newtons on Earth, then you'd only weigh about 17 Newtons

on the moon.

That's because up there, you'd only experience about a sixth of the gravity you normally

do on Earth.

So with half gravity, it makes sense that you'd only probably weight about half as

much.

That, if you survived, and everything on Earth seemed to carry on about the same but just

with half gravity, there would likely be health consequences.

That's because your body is always working /against/ gravity.

Your muscles have to work against gravity even when you're relatively still, your

bones have to support your weight, which is affected by gravity, and even your heart has

to work against gravity to pump your blood throughout your body.

So at half gravity, and half your weight, your heart would likely become weaker, your

muscles might become smaller, and you could even lose bone mass.

These are issues that astronauts face when experiencing weightlessness, so with half

your weight, it stands to reason that similar things would happen but to a lesser extent.

But that's if everything carried on about the same, just with half gravity.

If we actually suddenly lost half of the gravity on Earth, other things would probably change

as a result.

One of those things would be escape velocity.

Since the Earth would have less gravity, how fast you would need to go to escape Earth,

otherwise known as escape velocity, would be less.

This means that you wouldn't need to go as fast to get off this planet, which might be

a good idea if all this crazy gravity stuff actually happened.

Two tickets to Mars please!

I would like to chill with the aliens.

Let us know in the comment section below what we should talk next!

Curious to know what it would take for the earth to explode?

Check out this video.

it only carved out a chunk of Earth a few kilometers deep.

Asteroids that are bigger, denser, or made of different materials could have the ability

to hit us with enough power to shatter our planet.

As always, my name is Blocko, this has been Life Noggin, don't forget to keep on thinking!

Plyler v. Doe | quimbee.com - Duration: 4:55.

- [Instructor] In the United States,

most children can take going to school for granted.

But that expectation might be different

for children of undocumented immigrants,

as shown by the 1982 case of Plyler versus Doe.

In 1975, the Texas legislature enacted laws

granting local school districts the authority

to deny enrollment to undocumented, non-citizen children.

The legislature also withheld state funding

from school districts serving children

without authorization to live in the United States.

This withholding of funding meant

that undocumented children

had to pay tuition to attend public schools

while other children attended for free.

In 1982, four undocumented immigrant families

filed a class action suit

against a Texas school district.

The district court held that the state law

violated the Equal Protection Clause

of the Fourteenth Amendment.

The Fifth Circuit affirmed

and the United States Supreme Court granted cert.

The question before the court was whether the Texas law

denying undocumented immigrant children

free public education

was an unconstitutional denial

of equal protection under the Fourteenth Amendment.

Justice Brennan, writing for the five-justice majority,

held that distinguishing between documented

and undocumented children in the provision

of free public education violated

the Equal Protection Clause.

At the outset, Justice Brennan acknowledged

the universal character of the Fourteenth Amendment.

Brennan noted that its protections extend to all people,

including undocumented immigrants

within a state's jurisdiction.

In determining the appropriate standard of review,

Justice Brennan noted that immigration status

is a non-suspect classification.

That meant that the law

wasn't subject to strict scrutiny.

At the same time, Justice Brennan observed

that undocumented immigrant children

are members of a special underclass in the country.

They had no control over their parents'

unauthorized entry into the United States,

nor could they change their own immigration status.

In addition, although education isn't a fundamental right,

Justice Brennan emphasized that basic education

forms the foundation of productive citizenship.

Its denial to a discrete class of children

would prevent them from contributing

to the nation's progress.

Because of the important character of education

and the blamelessness of undocumented

children over their immigration status,

Justice Brennan determined that the standard of review

would be more demanding than rational basis.

Without expressly stating it,

Justice Brennan applied intermediate scrutiny.

This analysis requires a challenged classification

to be substantially related

to an important governmental interest.

The state argued that denying free

educational services to immigrant children

furthered the important governmental interest

in preserving limited fiscal resources.

Justice Brennan rejected that argument,

noting that immigrant children,

in terms of educational cost and need,

placed no special burden

on the state's ability to provide quality education.

Justice Brennan thus determined

that denying undocumented children

the same free education

that was provided to the state's other children

failed constitutional scrutiny.

The court struck down the Texas law as unconstitutional,

affirming the judgment of the court of appeals.

Justice Marshall wrote a concurring opinion.

He emphasized his belief

that education is a fundamental right

protected by the Due Process Clause

of the Fourteenth Amendment.

Justice Blackmun also concurred,

comparing education to the right to vote.

He argued that both issues strike at the heart

of equal protection principles

and the state should need more

than just a rational basis to justify their denial.

In Justice Powell's concurrence,

he agreed with the heightened scrutiny used by the majority.

He also noted that denying basic education

to a wide class of people

would likely have negative social costs.

Chief Justice Burger dissented.

He admonished the majority

for overstepping its bounds to handle policy problems

related to undocumented immigrants.

The chief justice argued

that because undocumented immigrant children

are a non-suspect class,

the rational basis standard applied.

By that standard, Burger would have upheld the law.

He reasoned that the state had a legitimate interest

in reserving its limited fiscal resources for citizens.

Further, the law was rationally related

to that cost-saving purpose.

In Plyler versus Doe,

the court applied an enhanced form

of constitutional scrutiny

to a supposedly non-suspect classification.

In doing so, the decision provided

the constitutional basis

for undocumented children

to receive public education

on the same basis as other children.

How to Visualize Your Dreams Into Reality - Duration: 10:14.

(Music)

TERRI: Bonjour. Hey, it's Terri Savelle Foy, your cheerleader of

dreams. Hey I pray as you, invest in yourself today, you're

captivated and you're catapulted to live your dreams. In fact

today I wanna talk to you about how to visualize your dreams

into reality. I'm standing here on the stunning French Riviera

in Nice, France, right here on the beautiful Mediterranean sea.

Do you know everything that I'm doing in the present, I

visualized in the past. Everything I'm doing, everything

from coming to this nation, getting to minister here. We

just had a conference, an Icing conference for women,

but you know what, I visualized that in the past, I imagined it

on the inside before it ever showed up on the outside. Well,

I've heard stories about the African Impala, you know the

little animal, which I thought was a car, but it's an animal.

Well I've heard how the African Impala can jump 10 feet high and

30 feet long. Now think about that, 10 feet high, 30 feet

long. However, you will find them at the zoo behind a four

foot fence and they won't even attempt to get out. Do you know

why? Because the little Impala can't see over the fence. Here's

the thing, they will never attempt to jump where they can't

see first. Now think about that, they have the ability to jump 10

feet high, but they won't because they can't see where

they're headed. Well, it's the same with you. You have to see

where you're headed before you start taking steps towards it.

Well where do you see it? In your imagination, you visualize

where you wanna go before you go there. Well, I think about in

the Bible how God said to Jeremiah, he said, "Jeremiah,

what do you see?" Well Jeremiah began to tell him, he said, "I

see a branch, blossoming in late winter, branch of an olive

tree," and he started describing what he saw. Then the Lord said

back to him, "You've seen well." Then he said, "I'm watching over

my word to perform it." Well then God came back to Jeremiah

another time, he said, "Jeremiah, what do you see?" Now

what if Jeremiah had said, "Nothing."? Well see, if you see

nothing you can expect nothing. You've gotta see something

before you can have something. You have to use the gift of the

imagination and visualize where you wanna go. In fact, in my

book Imagine Big, I told the story that I heard from Jack

Canfield about a woman named Glenna Salsbury. Now in this

story Glenna, early in her career, this is what she said,

she was a single mom with three daughters, she was way down with

the house payment, a car payment and a need to rekindle some

dreams. Glenna attended a seminar that focused on your

imagination and visualizing where you wanna go in life. So

the speaker pointed out that our minds think in pictures. We

don't think in words, we think in pictures. He said, "As we

vividly picture what we desire, it will become a reality." Well,

Glenna was so moved by this, and of course she knows the Bible

says that God will give us the desires of our heart, she also

knew proverbs 23:7 that says, "As a man thinks in his heart,

so does he become." In other words, what you think about, you

bring about. Combining God's word with visualizing, she said

she made a dream book. She arranged photos of all the

dreams she wanted into the album, bringing these images to

her mind. She said that pictures included a woman in a weeding

gown, 'cause she was believing to get married, a good looking

man in a tuxedo, an island in the blue Caribbean where she

wanted to go on her honeymoon, college diplomas for her

daughters, a female vice president of a company, because

she wanted to be the first woman vice president in that company,

and she even put like a graduation cap, believing that

she could graduate from seminary. Eight weeks later

Glenna was driving down the California freeway, and she

noticed this beautiful red and white car following her. She

looked at the driver, he looked at her, they made eye contact.

First she was a little creeped out. They ended up following

each other, pulled over, met and a few years later they got

married. Well this is the funny thing, all of a sudden she said

more images in her album started happening. While they're

planning the wedding, Glenna's fiancé told her he found the

perfect honeymoon spot in the Caribbean, and she had never

told him about her dream book. Well not only that, she said she

kept it a secret when they were moving into their new home,

which was also exactly like the picture in the dream book.

Glenna eventually became vice president of human resources in

the company where she worked, completed her masters degree and

became one of the first women admitted as a doctoral candidate

at Fuller seminary. Everything she started putting in her book

became a reality. Well, this is a major point. The more specific

the images are, the more likely you are to stay focused. So take

the time to imagine where you wanna go, what you wanna have,

who you wanna meet, where you wanna live, what you wanna

drive. Start putting pictures and images with those goals.

There's a principal in the word of God that you become what you

behold. See, whatever you keep before your eyes it will

eventually show up in your life, but you have to keep it before

your eyes. Even in goal setting they say, "Keep your goals out

of reach, but never out of sight." You have to keep 'em in

front of you. Well, this reminds me of a story in the Bible of

Jacob. You remember where Jacob wanted to marry the beautiful

girl Rachel and he worked for his uncle for 14 years, finally

got to marry Rachel. Well one night Jacob had a dream, and he

had ... God began to speak to him. In this dream God began to

tell him, he said, "Jacob it's time for you to leave, take your

family, move off," and he said, "But before you go tell your

uncle Laban that you demand that he gives you all the speckled

and spotted cows. Well, Jacob went to his uncle and he said,

"I'm leaving, I'm taking my family, but you have to give me

all the speckled and spotted cows." His uncle looks around

the field and mostly sees solid color cows, so he says, "You got

a deal." Well, what his uncle didn't realize was God gave

Jacob a strategy. And I'm sure it looked just like this, but

God told Jacob, he said, "Before you go I want you to go get some

branches off the tree, get a knife and streak those branches

and make them look like sports. Put spots all over these

branches." Then he said, "I want you to take those branches and

put them in the watering trough with the cows, so every day when

those cows are drinking water, solid color cows, they're

looking at spots, looking at spots, looking at spots." He

said, "When those cows are ready to give birth hold those

branches up." Now think about this. Those solid colored cows

gave birth to speckled and spotted offspring, with no

logical reason other than whatever you keep before your

eyes, it will eventually show up in your life. I've even heard

where Jacob walked away with 75% of the livestock because of this

principle. Well do you know what I learned from this? Three

things. Number one, this was God's idea. It didn't come from

Glenna Salsbury, it didn't come from Jack Canfield, it didn't

come from Steve Harvey, Jim Carrey, people who practice

this, it came from God's word, he's the one who wrote this.

Number two, it ties in perfectly with the law of attraction and

Proverb 23:7, "Whenever a man thinks about, so does he

become." And number three, are you ready for this? If it don't

work for a cow, surely it'll work for us. So I wanna

challenge you, give yourself permission to dream. Add images

to your top goals, keep them before your eyes, look at them

consistently and start believing God for them. In fact, just to

help you out, this month I wanna give you chapter one absolutely

free of my book Imagine Big. Now all you have to do is click the

link in the description and I will send you chapter one

completely free, because I wanna help you start imagining. I'm

gonna teach you how to get started. Because most people,

that's what they tell me, "Terri, I don't even know where

to start." Well, I'm gonna walk you through that process and I'm

gonna help you get started. Take advantage of that, chapter one,

click the link into the description and you can get

started visualizing your future. So don't forget, I'm cheering

you on, be sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, so

I can keep you motivated to live your dreams.

From the French Riviera, au revoir.

to something good to make it even better.

RESPONDING TO COCIELO AND HIS RACIST TWEETS - #RacimIsNotAJoke - SpartakusVlog - Duration: 5:18.

Hi Cocielo, let's talk?

For those who don't know, Cocielo is one of the biggest youtubers of Brazil.

He has a channel called "Canal Canalha"

with more than 17 million subscribers.

This guy already appeared in a Mc Loma music video,

and it's in Russia today, without paying anything

sponsored by Adidas, Submarino, Gillete and other brands.

This is one of this youtubers who make funny videos, you know?

The son of **** follows this guy, did you know?

And because of that, a lot of his subscribers are teenagers and children.

This guy posted yesterday

for his almost 8 million followers on Twitter

this thing:

"mbappé could steal in beaches like that"

Mbappé is a french and black soccer player

He is a guy who earns 20k euros for each world cup game

wich means 90k reals

and he donates everything to charity.

but this doesn't matter, because he's black.

and a black guy running, for brazilians, is someone stealing.

For a lot of people this is only a joke

but in fact this is a expression

of a extremely racist mindset

that says that we are all thieves.

In this country black people die daily

because they are mistaken for robbers.

In 2015, for example, 5 guys

were in Costa Barros, here in Rio de Janeiro

and were mistaken by thieves

and were shot by police with 111 shots.

They were brutally murdered.

All of that because the collective conciousness

says that a black person is automatically a thief.

And you, Cocielo, as a big influencer and youtuber

with millions of followers, is reinforcing this mindiset.

Months ago I made a video with AD Júnior and Edu Carvalho

giving safety tips for the black community of Rio

to survive the military intervention.

And one of the tips, that didn't make the cut,

talked about how black people should not run in the favelas at night

because the police can think that you are with a bad guy and kill you.

If you think I am exaggerating

I want to introduce you to the Alan Lima's case,

that was killed by police in 2015

exactly that way.

He was in a favela here in Rio de Janeiro,

Honório Gurgel, were Anitta came from,

and he was with friends, filming, having fun at night

and then they were approached by surprise by the police

started running

and a black guy running automatically means that he's a thief

the guy was shot

and he not only died, but filmed his own death.

It should be only a night of fun

in Palmirinha community, in Honório Gurgel

in Rio's north zone.

Suddenly, one of the boys runs away from the jokes

and the others follow him.

seconds after, you can hear a sequence of shots

of the sabe caliber.

All of that because they saw a black boy running

and though that it was a robber.

This is the kind of thinking that you reinforce with your tweet.

Why when a white player runs, he has talent to be an athlete

and when a black player runs, he has talent to steal?

Some white people are saying that I am a radicalist

because they know more about racism than us

Others are saying that this is only a small mistake

that he already apologized.

So I want to read for you

more tweets from Cocielo

this youtuber that represents

Adidas, Gillete, Submarino e other brands.

Brazil would be nicer if there were no complaints of racist jokes.

But since it is prohibited, the only solution is to exterminate black people.

I screamed GO APE through the window

and the black neighbor knocked the door to scold me.

Nothing against black people, except for the melanin...

I wanted to shoot a video about black consciousness day

but then I stopped because there was not wi-fi in jail.

It's complicated to judge someone by old tweets, right

He may already have changed, deconstructed

but it is important to redeem these tweets

to show that it was not the first time

Cocielo did this already a long time ago

and did it again.

To a lot of people everything that he said is no big deal

After all, these are the comments he's receiving

now on his instagram.

Cocielo, relax man, we're with you

I am you with forever

Hey guy, if i was you i would

this politically correct to fuck yourself

let's party.

You are amazing! People complain too much

The people who are supporting Cocielo behavior

are basically his fans

children and teenagers who don't know anything

about racial issues.

They are kids who access YouTube to laugh,

who use Twitter to read funny posts

and that automatically support everything that their influencers say.

Fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts,

I suggest you to analyze better

the content that your children are watching on the internet.

because this content is being a reference

to make their character.

This influencers are to the new generation

what Barney was to us.

Brands, advertisers, agencies,

think twice before being associated with any influencer

just because they have millions of followers.

Quantity is not quality

and the millions who will see your activation

are the same ones

that will se your brand being destroyed

by a behavior like that.

And Cocielo, man...

I know that you have a comedy channel

but not everything is funny!

Humor depreciating minorities is not funny in 2018.

This is why "Choque de Cultura" is relevant today e "Pânico" don't.

You can still make your content

your funny videos

but not all worth it for likes and views.

I hope you make a video apologizig to the black community

who is daily chased into stores

is avoided on streets at night

and is shot by mistake by the police.

All the population that is affected

by the racist mindset that you spread

consciously or not.

The Products MOST Often Used In The World - Duration: 10:36.

We all need different things at different points of time.

And since it is not possible for us to make all those things by ourselves, we depend on

others to provide us with those products or services.

That was how the barter system was set up and money has since then become the primary

mode for exchange!

So what are the things that we desire the most?

Lets take a look at some of the best selling things in the world!

18.

Playstation.

Be it kids or adults, the play station is definitely one of the most endearing things

we can own.

It gives us countless hours of fun and bonding with friends as well!

And while there have been many versions, all of them have been pretty popular and many

have even upgraded to keep up with the latest in gaming.

It is estimated that around 320 million units of the different models of the playstation

have been sold to date!

Guess we all like to have a good game every now and then!

17.

Rubik's Cube.

Mind twisters have always been fascinating.

Be it kids or adults, the pleasure that we get from actually solving the Rubik's cube

cannot be described in words.

And the repeated failed attempts might lead to a lot of frustration, but it just means

that people come back for another try.

So much so, that it has become the largest selling toy in the world and 350 million units

have been sold already!

And to think that it was originally developed to teach 3d geometry!

16.

Corolla.

In 1966, Japan witnessed a new car.

It is was a stylish car and was a much desired one, even as far away as the US where it launched

in 1968.

The car was the Corolla by Toyota, and it has become one of the highest selling products

in the market since then!

From the time that it hit the market, the Corolla has sold 40.7 million units, which

is the highest for any car!

Constant upgrades over the years has ensured that the Corolla remains one of the most sought

after cars in the world!

15.

Star Wars.

An epic saga that changed the way movies used VFX, Star Wars is a franchise that has many

passionate fans.

So much so, that even decades after its initial release, it is still one of the most loved

films ever!

And that of course means big money!

Collectively, the Star Wars franchise has raked in total sales of 4.6 billion dollars

and that includes movie tickets, memorabilia and others!

And considering that the new movies have also been extremely popular, this number can only

be expected to go upwards!

14.

iPad.

While tablets were all the rage at one time with many companies entering the market, there

are only a select few players remaining today.

And none of them stands as tall as the iPad.

It is estimated that around 211 million ipads have been sold till date and even though their

popularity has diminished since its release thanks to phones that are getting smarter

every day, iPad is still a pretty envious thing to own!

Not to mention that it keeps getting upgrades every now and then and is a real convenient

gadget to carry around! 13.

Mario Bros. Franchise.

In 1981, the Donkey Kong arcade saw the debut of a new game.

Super Mario.

And it sparked off a worldwide love for the game which featured a plumber running through

countless obstacles to save the Princess!

Since its debut, it has featured in 115 titles and also its own cartoon series!

More than 262 million units of the game have been sold till now and considering that its

popularity hasn't really waned, we guess that Mario will be around for much longer!

12.

Michael Jackson's Thriller.

If the title of the King of Pop is deserved by anyone, it is Michael Jackson.

The insane amount of talent that he possessed will probably never be seen again since his

demise but that does not mean that his popularity has taken a hit!

His album Thriller is not just the best selling album of all time, but also ushered in the

entire MTV generation!

More than 70 million copies of the album have been sold till date and the moonwalking legend

still has a long way to go!

11.

Harry Potter.

Considering that it is in fact a book, many bibliophiles will be happy that it has found

its way on this list!

The endearing tale of young wizards fighting evil ones made many kids hope for a letter

on their 11th birthday and while that may not have happened, they still were in love

with the books and the movies.

So much so that the movies earned a combined 7.7 billion dollars while the books sold 450

million copies!

Not to mention the action figures and the spin offs!

And perhaps the best example to gauge its success is that people actually lined up for

hours to get the latest copy of the book!

10.

iPhone.

The catch line of Apple, if you don't have an iphone, you don't have an iphone actually

captured the sentiments of its loyal followers pretty well.

Owning an iphone is all the rage today in the world, and you are kind of looked down

upon if you don't actually own one!

As many as 516 million people have bought iphones till date and the company has been

banking on its success to bring out more and more upgraded phones into the market.

And each time, the launch of an iphone is a big deal!

And we may not be very surprised that many of you are actually watching this video on

a iphone!

9.

Memory Cards.

With the world going digital, we all need a place to store our data.

Be it phones, cameras or even music players, an sd card is something we cannot do without!

Where would all our holiday pictures go otherwise?

And while there are many players in the segment, Sandisk has emerged as the leader!

So much so that it has almost become synonymous with memory cards!

An easy way to gauge its success is that Western Digital recently acquired Sandisk with a 19

billion dollar deal!

8.

Tide Detergent.

We all wear clothes and they all get dirty.

So obviously, any product that helps us wash them is definitely something that would be

used a lot.

And it turns out that it is Tide which is the most used detergent in the world.

It was first introduced in 1946 and since then, total sales have been estimated at a

mind boggling 77 billion dollars!

So huge is the market share of Tide that in the US, its next biggest competitor is almost

half its size!

Tide's riding the ride after all it seems!

7.

Microsoft Office.

Of course this one had to feature on this list.

All of us are using its products.

Be it in phones or on computers, as word or power point or excel or outlook, MS Office

is the highest selling software in the world.

1.2 billion people in the world are using Microsoft Office on a day to day basis.

What makes it so popular is that not only is it just Microsoft Windows that uses it,

but even mac users cannot work without having MS Office!

Talk about a universal product, right?

6.

Lays.

Chips are the ultimate munching food.

Whether it is watching a movie or a game or a drive or just idling around, nothing is

complete without having a packet of chips.

SO much so that around 663 million bags of chips are sold every year.

Want to put it in perspective?

If all of the lays packets sold every year are collected, the accumulated weight would

be more than an aircraft carrier!

5.

Marlboro.

No matter how many researchers and scientists and doctors tell you that smoking is harmful,

smokers will always smoke!

And in the days before the ads were banned, a lot of credit for people taking up smoking

could go to the Marlboro man as he was absolutely the man we all wanted to be.

And even though he is no longer visible, there is little doubt that Marlboro remains one

of the most smoked cigarettes in the world today.

In fact, if you total up the sales of Marlboro and adjust it for inflation, you would get

an astounding figure of 5 trillion dollars!

Imagine that much money going up in smoke, quite literally!

4.

Angry Birds.

Games are always fascinating and are a great way to kill time.

And one game that really caught everyone's fancy was angry birds.

There was a time that everyone was playing it!

2 billion people in the world downloaded this game.

That means, if you assume that one person downloaded the game once, 1 out of every 3

people in the world has used it!

And with numbers that big, we wonder if the angry birds are smiling on the inside!

3.

Colgate.

All of us have teeth and we all like to take care of it so that we always have them!

And Colgate has easily emerged as the number one brand to do that.

It is estimated that Colgate is already used by 2/3rd of the households in the world.

But has that huge market share slowed them down?

Not really because they recently gained 40 million additional households!

That basically means that every time we grin and bear it, the smiles of the Colgate owners

gets wider as well!

2.

Boeing 737.

While the 747 may be the more popular sibling from Boeing, in terms of pure numbers, the

737 is the rightful king.

It was first introduced in 1968 and has since then sold 13,000 jets!

And if you take into account that the cost for each jet is 72 million dollars, that makes

for a whopping 936 billion dollars in raw sales!

Guess flying is actually much more in demand than we give it credit for!

1.

Coca Cola.

If there is one thing that is a given whenever you are having a meal or a take out, its coca

cola.

The soft drink has actually become a worldwide phenomenon and it is estimated that 2 out

8 people in the world drink coke every day!

That is almost 1.8 billion coke servings every day!

And with so much business, it is hardly a surprise that the actual coca cola recipe

is one the most heavily guarded secrets in the world!

So those were some of the things that people have been using a lot around the world!

And we are sure that you must also have used either one or more of these brands.

7 Ways To Save Money When You Start Sewing - Duration: 10:59.

[Intro music]

Hello, welcome back to my YouTube channel!

I'm starting this video with showing you this amazing shirt that I thrifted today

Oh my gosh! Juggling. Pochi! MERR.

And this hat that I crocheted -

It's the second thing I've ever successfully crocheted. I've only just started crocheting in the past month

and I LOVE it! It's so much fun. And this hat turned out really really cute and it was made from Fairtrade

wool from Uruguay, so... yayy! And I'm also sitting in quite a dark room

because I'm still having troubles with migraines and light sensitivity

so if this looks really dark

that's why. If it looks nice and bright then future Annika has done a really good job on post-production.

So hopefully it looks good! Whoo!

So the other day I was browsing through different patterns for clothing that you can buy online

and I was like wow, these are really prohibitively expensive for someone who's maybe

just getting into sewing and doesn't have that much money. I've also been looking at

fabrics recently and thought the same thing...So I wanted to make a little list of all the

tips and tricks that I have learned while being someone who is relatively broke

learning to sew, because fabrics and classes and

books and textbooks and all of that stuff... Sewing accessories, you name it are all quite expensive

it's a pretty expensive hobby to just pick up on a whim,

if you don't even know if you're gonna like it or not.

So this video is gonna be how to get started sewing without spending a fortune.

My first tip is to go to thrift stores to find your fabrics.

You don't want to be buying especially fabrics for your first ever projects from places like ...

Spotlight and Lincraft are the big craft stores in Australia,

I think you've got Joanne's in the US is that one called Michaels - or am I making that up right now?

Anyway fabric from these places is expensive and you're probably also gonna honestly mess it up

because you're learning how to sew and sewing is a little bit hard.

So when I first started sewing I used things like old bed sheets -

you can actually find old bed sheets in quite cute floral patterns.

I got one which was all like cute vintage looking teacups that I made a dress out of

actually that I used to make the first tutorial on this channel.

This orange one here was floral bedsheets!

This pinafore was an old bedsheet... Bedsheets are great,

especially if it's for your first projects and you just mucking around with things. Another thing that

bedsheets can be useful for is for making prototypes,

so before you use the really nice fabric,

if you're using like a light cotton or silk or something like that as your final

fabric, then you can use a bed sheet of the same or at least similar sort of fabric to make your prototype.

Now I know that a lot of you say that you don't have good thrift stores in your country.

And unfortunately that might be the case you might be able to shop online instead - places like Etsy or eBay

often sell secondhand fabrics.

But if you do live in a country that has pretty good thrift stores then you can definitely find good fabrics,

though if you're someone

who thinks they never have good luck thrifting then you're probably looking in the wrong places.

And I'm actually going to link to a video on how to thrift which is very applicable to finding fabrics -

even though the video I made was about clothes. Aside from thrifted bed sheets

you might also hit the jackpot and find a craft section at the thrift store. I found these today:

Two metres of gingham, 3 metres of sweater fleece fabric

2 metres of wool tartan, 2 meters of this nice drapey

chiffon pattern material it's really pretty

4 metres of this really nice drapey tartan for $4! Thrift store prices!

And it's not just fabrics like often there will be a little craft haberdashery section in

different thrift stores like today I also found a handful of zippers

and I probably got all those fabrics and zippers for the price of maybe one or two

metres of fabric in a normal craft store.

Another thing that is great from thrift stores - sewing textbooks, so

this is a woman's day complete book of handicrafts,

a giant, hardcover, like, tome that I got for $3.

I got that today at the thrift store and while it's from the seventies the instructions and

step by step photos

to do all of these different crafts are

really well detailed like I've learnt quite a lot of stuff from it just from reading it today

There's a whole section on metric equivalents. So I don't have to google it I can just use this as a reference.

We've got how to measure every single part of your body for different

clothes a sewing guide for the thread you should use and how many

machine stitches per inch for different types of fabric,

and this whole thing is just on how to iron fabrics like this thing is awesome, and it includes a bunch of

tutorials of how to make things and patterns so like,

yes, this might be a 70s design but a lot of the patterns that they give you are fairly timeless! Besides, seventies

stuff is fashionable, anyway! I found this awesome one from the 80s a while ago for 50 cents,

which is also a really good step by step guide

to following patterns and making clothes. And this thing I got today as well, which is

from the summer of 87 to 88... You would see people wearing this today!

Like, I'm pretty sure seeing that girl on Instagram recently. So don't discredit older sewing guides from thrift shops

just because of their age. They are actually often really well-written,

especially if they are something like Women's Day - if you can find Women's Day books,

I have two of them - they're really well written. Another good place to get cheap fabrics and craft supplies is

places, like estate sales and garage sales... Estate sales,

you might be able to score with fabrics because often it might be an older person who has passed away who has

hoarded fabric their whole lives. That is definitely going to be me in the future

I pity the person who has to go through my fabric stash -

or if you know people who have relatives maybe like their grandma

recently moved to a nursing home and left all her fabric stash

they might be like, please please take this off us! I have had three different people

give me huge like roomfuls of fabric that they didn't need anymore because

they knew I liked so that brings me to another tip

let everyone in your life know that you like sewing! Make it be known that you are now the sewing person

because not only will you find these people who might have stashes that they want to unload.

They might just be like, oh, I'll buy this person a present. I'll buy them a sewing machine for Christmas.

That's what happened to me.

I showed an interest in sewing and for Christmas that year my dad

noticed that there were sewing machines on sale at the post office and he was like awesome

I'm gonna get that for Annika and the rest is history.

Talking about sewing machines - if you're going to be spending any money

this is where you need to spend it.

You don't wanna be spending your money on fabrics, on patterns, on classes, on books...

You want to be spending it here.

Because if you have a bad sewing machine, if you go for like the

cheapest worst type, your projects probably won't work out and

you're probably gonna think that it's your fault that you're a bad sewer when it's

actually the sewing machines fault. It can totally put you off sewing for the rest of your life.

Not a good idea, and the benefits to investing in a good sewing machine is that you will have it for years

so you can save money in the long run because you're able to make all your own clothes. If you

improve a lot and really take to it, you can even make money selling things.

So I just really think this is the one thing you really should invest

in if you're getting started sewing.

That said, there are some really decent sewing machines out there for beginners that are only around

$100 - $200. I can only speak from personal

experience, but I really like my Bernina machine it is a beginners, but semi computerized machine

which meant that it has let me do a lot more intermediate stuff not just beginners only stuff

like I can work with swimsuits really easily or I can work with denim and I've had it for -

I think it's four years at this point - and

it's I've never even had it serviced and it just works perfectly like the day I got it.

Of course I'm also going to mention free sewing tutorials on the internet!

So if you're just learning to so I actually compiled a whole page

of free beginner sewing tutorials on my website.

And of course all of my tutorials are free and I have

a whole beginner's playlist that you can go through which is ranked in

order from easy to hard. They're all free. Please use them!

My last tip is that there are plenty of places to get free sewing patterns

and I'm going to be linking some of my favorites down below.

Colette does a couple of free patterns, Peppermint magazine has a lot of free patterns,

Tilly and the buttons has some free tutorials,

these are all quite beginner friendly and

ones like Tilly and the buttons and Colette

actually teach you how to sew while you use them if you do spend any of any money on them

it's kind of like a class and a pattern all in one.

So it's quite a lot of value for money, but I'll put the links to these

and some are in the description box down below,

so that you can find some good quality beginners patterns that are free.

Also make some sewing friends!

Anyone who is friends with me and shows even the slightest interest in sewing

I like load them up with a bunch of fabrics to take home.

Is the answer to this one...become friends with Annika?

No, but I think you'll find that the sewing community is really passionate,

eager to help and teach others to learn so making friends who love sewing and

letting the world know that you love sewing is definitely

not a bad idea! Speaking of making sewing friends

It's been like a week since I launched the make thrift try

community challenge and there have already been so many photos on

Instagram who have taken part in the challenge,

or they've gotten started on the challenge or what they're like posting works in progress,

and it's been so cool to see. Um, thank you so much for posting them

I am so excited to see more throughout the month. Remember it finishes

at...

31 days after?

My last video was posted

So if you want to join in get started with some sewing - it doesn't have to be super professional!

If you're a beginner you are more than welcome!

Then please join in!

If you have any more tips or tricks on how to get started sewing without spending a ton of money

on places where you might be able to find cheap craft accessories

or if you have any favorite free pattern websites that aren't linked in the description box below!

Please leave a comment! When I witness like a nice friendly interaction in my comment section,

I get so happy and I'm like.. FRIENNNDDDSSSS!

It honestly makes my day. So please do that. I hope you've enjoyed my little

skater beanie, Emo hair in this video. I think it's very cute. I love this beanie. Anyway, thank you for watching

I hope this video was helpful, and I'll see you all next time. Bye!

is he enough responsible?

who can say?

can you see me?

yes

the sea was really cold, not a good idea

he is still in there?

► JUAN WILLIAMS I FOX NEWS POLITICAL ANALYST PETER STRZOK ON CAPITOL HILL - Duration: 15:17.

harley-davidson please build those beautiful motorcycles in the USA please

okay don't get cute with us don't get cute they don't realize the taxes are

coming way down they don't realize it again

president Trump sending a pointed message to harley-davidson after the

company announced its planning to shift some of its production overseas because

of those tariffs build records that columnist for The Wall Street Journal he

joins us now bill president sending a message there is it being received right

well I think there's a larger message being received and that's the proposal

for 31% tariffs in Europe on Harley Davidsons look Harley it's like a lot of

American companies you know whether it's McDonald's or Ford or something a lot of

their customers are overseas now as I understand it the motorcycle market is

kind of mature in the u.s. so I also understand that these tariffs that the

Europeans would put on would add $2,200 to each motorcycle that's a lot of

there's a lot of people that manufacture here for that reason you know foreign

foreign companies build their cars here to avoid different taxes and tariffs

don't get cute on yeah look they got to make a profit and they're gonna do this

is one of the problems I think when you go down the tariff road our chains are

very complex now supply chains in other words nothing is usually built with

purely components from one country in one country it comes from all over to

try to get the cheapest and best your you have a deadline I think nine days

from now right why six I do you think they get this settled or did they go

into effect at the end of next week um I don't know I don't think they get it

settled which is gonna roar the markets right right and some markets hate

uncertainty I think above all there's a lot of it out there right you know as

far as the tax situation is concerned you know a lot of that's already into

the market I want to tell you that I just wonder I wonder how important this

becomes as we move into midterms into November to really see how the effects

of this play out I mean of the of the president's trade

policy's trade policy no I move on taxes I mean you don't Kellyanne Conway's cell

in this yeah look I think she's right on the taxes I mean the tax cut was a

tremendous achievement and the economy's going full blast and it's an odd

argument to think that the tax cuts had nothing to do with this you know wasn't

it just a few years ago that the Obama officials were telling us that under two

point percent growth was the new normal a a version of the malaise speech and

now you know we're we're way above that and it makes a big difference it not

only does it make a difference in people's lives in terms of new jobs and

and higher pay it's sort of unparalleled like in other words economic growth for

each one percent of growth the effect on the average citizen of compounded wages

basically over is you can't do anything that would equal that what my sense is

that this is a president who keeps one eye on the market every day right and if

you've got a midterm in four and a half months now right but this this is a

market that you know he wants in hopes to keep strong and I hope you as to when

you fit that in with the tax cuts you've got a selling point come to them yeah I

think they have a big sigh I think it's the biggest selling point and I would

like them to get off other things that I that I think might be a distraction I I

think actually a trade policy there's a little bit of an abstraction but a lot

of us how people feel I mean you saw that with Bill Clinton you know the the

the benefits of a booming economy kind of over I did some of the scandals and

so forth you know when you see him holding a shovel in southeastern

Wisconsin for the breaking foxconn plant it's also real we know it's real people

can feel it they can feel yep I mean I have I have a daughter just graduated

from college looking for a job it's a great time to be looking for a job this

I'm not sure what a set is 10 years yes exactly so I think a lot of people you

know what people want to look what people want is to think tomorrow is

going to be better than today especially for their children right that there's

gonna be opportunities that's that sort of the American dream tomorrow will be

better than today the opportunities are going to be more and people are feeling

that now and it was something again a few years

ago we told was not possible it's something it's really something that

you're talking about gdt GDP you're talking about the tax cuts and the

tariffs but you're not talking about the stock market and that's something we

haven't heard from this administration and in a bit because the market took a

breather and it was record after record after record rights I think it's

dangerous to live by the market the market isn't the we do and it's

dangerous you have a quick Supreme Court pick have you I like all the people on

his list so I'm not gonna I'm not gonna engage I like a lot of the people on the

list i my understanding is I don't know how more than you that it's between

Brett Kavanaugh my used to work with in the White House I think he's excellent

jurist and Amy Coneybear a fellow domer from Notre Dame I think is also

tremendous so I'm happy with that list I'll put it that way for your piece of

the wall thank you thank you have a great weekend you too we're watching a

lot of breaking news on a deadly shooting in Maryland when I get back

there in about five minutes of suspect will be in court in one hour police will

give us an update and what they're calling their final news conference then

at 12:15 president Trump addresses the shooting for the first time on camera so

all that's coming up live when it begins you'll see it here on Fox plus the

sparks fly during a heated hearing on Capitol Hill Republican lawmakers dig

for answers from the top brass of the DOJ and FBI the Americas newsroom a team

is on deck

that interview was plagued by the FBI's counsel instructing him repeatedly not

to answer questions that are very important to our investigation when he

was allowed to answer questions he answered the questions some of his

answers particularly regarding the explanation of a number of his

outrageous text messages were were completely unbelievable

well that was chairman Bob Goodlatte during an interview talking to Bill last

hour about anti-trump agent Peter struck so let's go to America's newsroom a team

Juan Williams is the Fox News political analyst and co-host of the five Edie

Henry is Fox News chief national correspondent and Shelby Holliday is he

video reporter for The Wall Street Journal great to have all of you here on

this Friday I had him a big holiday week but that was quite a hearing yesterday

and you just heard from the chairman what was what was your big takeaway I

took away this IG report which was much too much hype for many months has been

completely overshadowed it has not gotten enough attention and I think the

reason is the big story a week or so ago was migrant children on the border and

rightly so it's a big story and we end the week with Justice Kennedy and some

of the other big stories we'll get into in a moment and so bottom line for me is

this is a damn interesting IG report that basically has a bottom line that

says there was no bias at the FBI in terms of the handling of Hillary Clinton

and the handling of Donald Trump except the rest of the report has hundreds of

pages of text messages saying stop Donald Trump at all costs we need an

insurance policy to stop him and I can already see the frown on Juan's face is

going to tell me I'm wrong but the fact of the matter is how can you say there

was no bias at the FBI when you have hundreds of pages of text messages

saying the opposite one is that true you're gonna tell ed Henry he's wrong I

never

you know they can have bear summits their summits sometimes work but I what

strikes me is that we had an explosion of emotion at the hearing yesterday

because I think trey Gowdy was going at not only rod Rosenstein but at times it

looked to me like he just wanted to take on the whole Justice Department the FBI

everybody else and say you guys are tearing America apart literally I think

it's under that's exactly what he said you know the Russians aren't losing

America is losing because this goes on and divides us but I think part of the

dafair point well I don't think there's any question I think the Russians

intended to divide us they played through the existing divisions and

everything so should more wrap this thing on

well you what's the at this point you want him to do an exhaustive complete

and accurate investigation at this point is this been going on a long time and I

think if I was rod Rosenstein I would sit there and say mr. Gotti how long

that Benghazi hearing take place for I believe it was years mr. Gowdy so I mean

you can play both ways yes we want answers but I think everybody wants to

know that we're hearing the truth and going on about some agents text message

to his girlfriend talk about being in the weeds you're just trying to distract

people without the IG whenever you can see those text messages

that's true I'm just not trying to accomplish much although politically yes

it was it was a time for people to sort of air their grievances but the

resolution that the House passed carries no legal force according to my

colleagues at the journal and I also just think it's interesting when you're

watching a committee that shut down their investigation and Democrats say we

didn't really do a full investigation they're standing there demanding things

from the Justice Department they want records yet I don't believe they've

turned over transcripts from their investigation they haven't made those

unclassified transcripts public because of the way in which they conducted the

investigation and I also just think it's become so political it's hard to say

that this was a productive well I tell you helpful things for the American

people the rubbers gonna meet the road when Peters truck testifies if he does

testify he listened to what chairman Goodlatte said about the interview that

went on for 11 hours on Wednesday when you think about the

the FBI attorney who repeatedly prevented strut from answering question

right what I take on that what I take away from that is that Peter struck he's

he's not gonna do this under oath these are definitely the Faerie better do it

under oath and here's why when we heard a week or so ago Peter Struck's lawyer

came out and said he's been battered and beaten he wants to tell his side of the

story great I thought there is a perception in this country and then

exactly Sandra after all that nonsense he shows up and the not just that he

doesn't talk but the FBI lawyers jump in he can't answer that what are they

hiding and so on can say oh this is just struck texting his girlfriend but no it

was about substance it was about the investigation one and if it's not a big

deal and it was just pillow talk why did the FBI lawyer say don't answer that

well I don't know what the question was but obviously you have an ongoing

investigation and on both sides they know that their national security

interests and you have the possibility of people changing their stories and so

I think that they may have said to him on that on some questions

hey hold off but as to what you texted I don't know that the question was why you

texting you don't like Donald Trump how many Americans would get caught in that

trap is it raise any red flags to you one that they won't turn over these

documents that Republicans have been asking for for so long I don't think

that's out of keeping with the way investigations are conducted not only in

Washington but around the world that they hold on to as much information for

as long as possible I don't like it as a reporter obviously I'm trying to crack

the case too but I'm just telling you that's my experience but can I just have

a real brief which is that at one you're right there would be anti-trump text

messages from all kinds of people out there just like there would be anti

Hillary text messages from other people who write but if they were anti Trump

text message from you you're a commentator you're a journalist this was

the FBI agent running the Clinton investigation I think that's the point

that people seem to miss I would you can't be doing anti Trump stuff when

you're supposed to be

I appreciate but the counterpoint is then the one that gets screwed on this

is not Donald Trump it's Hillary Clinton she didn't come out of this fairly no

I'm just saying I mean it's incredible to me because it's the Trump people who

are pointing I hate petersburg's biased okay wait not only did was he me Taylor

Clinton he wanted more power to go after her Shelby's trying to get it here well

I just think it underscores to the frustration that everyone has with the

investigation because everybody wants to know more Moeller is working behind the

scenes it's an incredibly complex investigation in many cases he has to

wait for foreigners to land in the US before he can question them it's hard to

speed these kinds of investigations up yes we would all love to know everything

going on behind the scenes and I'm not sure the American people will be able to

and there to like come together and end their divisions until we do know more

there some tensions go to Supreme Court this is soundbite number 2 at Mitch

McConnell he was the Amish Shannon last night hoping to draft some Democratic

support when the vote finally happens watch we're hoping there will be some

Democratic support remember that justice course which got at least three Senate

Democrats who supported his confirmation those individuals are still in the

Senate we're not assuming this is just going to be a straight party-line vote

many Democrats vote for whomever the pick is in an election year

I'll you right now you'd be looking at about three you're looking at height

camp possibly mentioned you know maybe go to Indiana but I think on this one

you're gonna get counter-pressure the last time when it was Neal Gorsuch there

was not a counter pressure I think Schumer let Democratic senators go this

time I think because of the great conservative corsets do you remember I

think it was three like he said yeah Donnelly Indiana Manchin and Heitkamp

and that's why the president invited those two either wife says yes Susan

Collins in Maine he got Lisa Murkowski in Alaska I mean these could be pivotal

votes to moderate Republicans and they were at the White House last night too

and so I think under covered in all this tension and controversy and protesters

the president did a smart thing last night which is that he invited those

three Democrats that we mentioned and to moderate Republicans in Murkowski

and then Grassley the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee say hey let's

talk about this now he's gonna pick who he wants that's what presidents do but

if he can bring some of these folks in early in the process and consult with

them I think that's obviously very smart because there are some of these

Democrats in the states that Trump carried by double digits like a mansion

in West Virginia he votes against the president's pick and he's a trump

quickly Shelby well there was a pledge of president Trump's on the campaign

trail to remake the Supreme Court you cannot under us you cannot underestimate

the stakes here in this particular battle mitch mcdeere Schumer says it's

the most important vacancies in at least a generation that's his argument for

wanting to hold this up I I do think the president is moving fast he wants to

have a pic before July 11th they want to have hearings in August and then type in

nomination Kellyanne can go there's a lot of

stories a lot of ground but big and small who won the week our 18 panel

comes back with that answer next right here

RED ALERT Congress Finds Mueller's "Conflict of Interests" and Demands He RESIGN - Duration: 12:00.

RED ALERT Congress Finds Mueller's "Conflict of Interests" and Demands He RESIGN

A House Republican just introduced a resolution on Thursday that undoubtedly has White House

Special Counsel Robert Mueller in full panic mode.

The Washington Examiner reported that the resolution, which was presented by Rep. Todd

Rokita, R-Ind., calls on Mueller to end his year-long investigation unless he can prove

he's made progress examining the possible links between Russia and the Donald Trump

administration.

"The Mueller investigation has dragged on for nearly a year at a cost of tens of millions

of dollars without producing a shred of evidence of collusion — the matter it was tasked

with investigating in the first place.

I expect a valid progress report within the next 30 days or the investigation should be

terminated," Rokita said.

The lawmaker went on to say that even federal officials must be held accountable for their

actions, though Mueller has not been alleged of any wrongdoing related to the probe.

"No one in government should be without accountability, and for many Americans, this

investigation looks more like an attempt by the Washington elite to destroy President

Trump with innuendo, leaks, and baseless allegations than to provide justice," he said.

Though Republicans have control of the House, experts believe the resolution will not be

brought up, as many GOP leaders have said that Mueller should be able to finish his

probe.

However, this does show that congressional Republicans are ready to start making moves

against Mueller if they need to do so.

This comes after Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to

"intervene in the Michael Cohen case and put the people behind the probe "under investigation."

"I am waiting for the Attorney General to step in, in his role as defender of justice,

and put these people under investigation," Giuliani said after he was asked about reports

that Cohen's phones were wiretapped by federal investigators.

Giuliani argued that if the wiretapping reports were true, it was a blatant transgression

of attorney-client privilege.

It's becoming increasingly clear that Mueller's investigation is imploding.

Liverpool star Mo Salah forced Jurgen Klopp to miss out on ideal signing ● News Now transfer ● #LFC - Duration: 2:29.

LIVERPOOL forward Mohamed Salah was why Jurgen Klopp failed to land his top transfer target

in 2017, according to reports.

Liverpool star Salah signed from Roma last year and has since usurped the likes of Sadio

Mane and Roberto Firmino to become their talisman.

The Egypt international fired in an impressive 44 goals for the Merseyside giants in his

debut campaign, firing them to the Champions League final along the way.

Liverpool's faith in Salah has been rewarded after the 25-year-old previously flopped in

the Premier League during a turbulent time at Chelsea.

Yet the Liverpool Echo suggest Salah's arrival stopped the Reds from signing Bayer Leverkusen

hotshot Julian Brandt.

Klopp earmarked the Germany international as his ideal signing back in January 2017,

aware the Reds needed more.

At the time, they had Firmino, Mane and Philippe Coutinho at their disposal.

Yet Liverpool felt they needed more stardust to mount a challenge for silverware which,

with Salah, they achieved.

The Reds hierarchy were more inclined to go for Salah and Klopp, consequently, missed

out on Brandt.

But the Liverpool Echo suggest that, on the back of his World Cup performances, a transfer

may not be completely dead in the water.

Brandt was picked for Germany's squad over Leroy Sane, despite the Manchester City forward

firing his club to Premier League glory.

And he impressed in Russia despite Germany managing to win just one of their three games.

Liverpool are hunting another forward with Stoke's Xherdan Shaqiri on their radar.

But if the Switzerland star chooses to go elsewhere, then the Reds may revive their

Brandt interest.

Merseyside neighbours Everton have also been linked.

But with Champions League football to offer, Liverpool may fancy their chances of winning

that transfer battle.

2Minutes2Virtue: Advance Always! - Duration: 2:36.

I'm Father Bob Cilinski, the Pastor of Nativity Catholic Church in Burke, Virginia

My younger brother Paul attended Bishop Ireton High School in

Alexandria, Virginia and the school motto is "Advance always." It's a quote of St.

Francis DeSales. It's something that he always said. When Paul and I are golfing,

if he hits a bad shot or I hit a bad shot or we both do, we always say

"Advance always" to give each other encouragement. It's something we always say.

In the Scriptures, there's one or two phrases that Jesus said that has been preserved

in the original Aramaic. One example of that is "Talitha koum" which means

"Little one, I say to you, arise" and scripture scholars say that it's preserved in the

original language because it must have been something Jesus said often to people.

You could imagine Him saying to someone who was sick or someone who was

poor or someone who was an outcast or alone

So one example is a young girl

and she has died and her parents come to Jesus and ask Him to come and save her

And Jesus does respond and He comes and grabs her hand and says to her those two words

"Talitha koum" "Little one, I say to you, arise!"

And she rose up and was restored to life and to health

So here's the challenge that I present to you: In the next day or two take a moment to be

still, and with childlike faith, place your life in God's hands once again

Because our lives are always in God's hands anyway

But trust in God

Lean on God

Expect everything from God's mercy and love

And then experience God holding your hand

and saying to you "Little one, I say to you, arise!"

Raising you up, giving you encouragement and giving you new grace and strength

You see, believe that you're blessed. Believing is becoming.

If we believe were blessed then just get ready for the blessings to come

This is father Bob in 2minutes2Virtue and "Advance always!"

Camp Chef Flat Top Grill Preview - Campchef Griddle Overview - Duration: 5:34.

what is up everybody this is Lyle with no hippie BBQ what I want to talk to you

about today is going to be this brand-new Camp Chef flattop griddle that

I got some of you guys know that I have a blackstone griddle as well and the

people at Camp Chef went ahead and sent this out to me so I could do a few cooks

on it and see what I think anyway I do notice there's a few differences between

this model and my blackstone griddle and I just want to talk to you guys

about some of those differences in no way you're ever going to hear me talk

bad about the black stone griddle I think that is a great griddle for the

price reason I'm doing this video before I actually cook on it is there are a few

people that are subscribed to my channel that were debating between the Camp Chef flat top griddle

or the blackstone grill top so I wanted to get this out as soon as possible anyway I

will be cooking on this later today one of the things that Camp Chef claims is

that you don't need to do the whole seasoning process on this griddle so

we're gonna test that out here a little bit later anyway I'm gonna bring you

guys in close and we're gonna kind of go over a few of the things that the Camp

Chef has and then maybe a couple differences between this and maybe the

blackstone the first thing I like about this is this has a real clean design you

got the little stainless steel look going on and I think they went with the

red knobs to kind of duplicate the Wolfe stoves that are in expensive houses I'm

not sure but I'm just guessing you have two places to store things now one thing

I really like about this is you do have the collapsible sides

let me take this grease trap off so you have the possible signs another good

thing about this before we even bring you in closer let me just set this over

here is once you remove this griddle top and we'll take a closer look at the

grill top there's a matter of fact let's look at this not sure if you guys can

see this or not let me take a look I'm not sure if it's coming through good on

camera or not but you have the flattop griddle but then you almost have like a

heat disbursement system with these little holes that are down here to

evenly distribute the heat anyway let's go ahead and take a look at the top of

this this is where things get interesting

only with the camp shift do you get the flattop griddle but you can also grill

over an open flame so you have your grill grates here and let's go ahead and

set these aside right now as well and I will be leaving a link to this in the

description below where you can take a look at the price on Amazon and compare

it with the price on CampChef but get the grill grates off and here's what I

like about if you're grilling over this open flame you don't have to worry about

getting any grease or food debris on your burners because you have these

things that kind of shield you know they shield the burner so

that's not gonna really happen there you also have a separate grease trap that is

below we'll get to that here a little bit later I'm gonna go ahead and put

this put these grates back on and then we're gonna put the flat top on there's

some really nice things about the flattop as well

we like about this brittle is you have this grease trap and it kind of flows

down you have an actual hole that it goes through and it has a funnel that

drips into this removable grease catch thing right here we also have one under

the grill I'm going to try to show that to you but it may be a little dark under

there but I'll do my best just no good way for me to show you that other grease

trap is just kind of dark down there but anyway that other grease trap is going

to be used if you take this griddle top off and cook over the open flame it's

going to kind of drain down into that another thing that this has is it does

have a leveling system on it I do plan on keeping this on my deck so that's

going to come in handy I really I'm not going to really go into how to use that

yet because I haven't used it and I'll just save that for my review that's

coming some reason you have a hard time lighting your grill the ignition system

isn't working they also have this a little aluminum piece here that's kind

of tied down to the grill you basically just went and light a match and stick it

through the hole and light your grill like that so anyway this is going to be

my preview today is July 1st 2018 as of today on Amazon if you go to Amazon they

have this thing marked down to two hundred and ninety-nine dollars

typically this is going to be somewhere around 350 360 dollars I'm gonna leave a

link to that in the description below I'm also going to leave a link to the

Camp Chef site so you can kind of compare prices and they also have

smaller units than this so anyway I'm gonna get some get some good cooking

going on this and then maybe you know a month you know something like that down

the line we'll do a review on it things I like things I don't like but as of

right now I just wanted to kind of talk about the basics of it anyway I do

appreciate you guys stopping by no hippie BBQ I appreciate it

comment subscribe and I'm out. www.campchef.com

Self-driving cars: what impact on dealerships ? | Marc Devillet (Autopolis) - Duration: 5:16.

What are the challenges for the future? We are in a car world that moves a lot,

what are the challenges that must be taken into account?

What will happen in 10 years Autopolis

always represents 10% or can be more: 15% of the market?

Why not ! It's a good idea!

It's a good question. In fact it's really THE question

we're asking ourselves today in our business:

what will be the automotive retail in the next 10-15-20 years?

Autonomous cars are arriving.

An autonomous car has huge benefits because cars will not bump into each other anymore, there will be fewer accidents,

so it will have a direct impact on our bodywork business.

There is another element as well: the electric car, which will also have an impact,

naturally, on the technical part.

There will be less to do on an electric vehicle than on a thermal car.

But the market will change gradually.

We know that it takes 20 years for the European market to renew itself completely.

So, we really have a vision over 20 years.

So that's the technical part, and we feel pretty good because with our multi brand

we clearly see that some brands are really ahead of others.

At Autopolis electric cars

are already there and we already see in the schedules of

the next 2-3 years that some brands are really ahead at a worldwide level.

That's extremely important to us.

But there will be more things to do and different ways to communicate.

It's my role to really motivate our teams

to work differently and to use new tools.

That's why FleetBack

is important to us because it's a new way of communicating with our customers and it works very well.

I will make sure, with my teams, to evolve in this direction and heavily invest to

use modern technologies

and train our teams in the use of these modern technologies.

I'm convinced that we will always be in the lead in

the future because there is a permanent questioning and the investments that go with it.

Maybe one last question to conclude:

do you think we're in an automotive evolution or an automotive revolution?

Yes I think that we're in an automotive revolution.

I don't think we're in an evolution.

We've lived the evolution these last 10 years where we've seen our profession change a lot.

We have seen major dealerships appear,

a consolidation of car retail / sales market at a European level

and large groups that came to settle here

because we actually need a lot of capital to run a business like ours.

It's no longer in the hands of small individual entities

or small local groups but rather a European vision of things.

So that's what's happening, too.

In terms of technology, we'll still need to invest a lot

and I think we'll also need to change our vision and our technician's way of thinking,

our salespeople's state of mine and also us, at the management level. We'll need to change a lot of things.

We are very aware of this

and we are fortunate to belong to a large group at European level

and we talk about it regularly.

It's a discussion that we have regularly and a continual questioning

that allows us to always move forward, think and invest in this direction.

Nowadays, we talk about major themes: digital transformation.

Transformation is actually a revolution anyway!

That's the vision we have today: in terms of marketing,

we are evolving strongly in this direction.

I made the decision with my marketing manager to position more than 50% of our annual marketing investments

in digital,

whether via community or digital communication all over the place.

At the operational level (here we are talking about FleetBack too)

to work in digital way in a daily basis so that it becomes normal.

So I can see that we're really going in the right direction, we're evolving in the right way.

Thank you so much Marc!

We can really see that Autopolis

is an automotive village, a group with a vision.

Thank you, that was very very interesting.

I have a question now : can I drive the Cadillac?

Hahah yes of course ! Since you're a well-known co-pilot.

Exactly : a co-pilot. I'm not a pilot!

So now's the time to be a pilot then ! Do you trust me ? Of course I trust you!

Great. Bye! Thanks!

Tweak The Environment - Ep. 43 - Duration: 2:59.

In today's episode, we'll look at an example of how tweaking the environment improved donation

rates even among the least likely to donate.

Lee Ross, who we met in last week's episode, and his co-author Richard Nisbett, in their

book "The Person And The Situation", tell a story of tweaking the environment to change

behavior.

They described research into why college students donate canned-food to charity and why they

don't.

Researchers interviewed students at Stanford and asked them to categorize their dorm-mates

into most likely to donate, a.k.a. the "saints", and least likely to donate, a.k.a. the "jerks".

The research question was, "Can we alter the situation so that the jerks donate too?"

They provided the students with one of two different letters.

In the control group, the letter was simply asking them to bring canned food to a booth

on Tresidder Plaza.

The other letter provided a map to the booth, a precise request for a can of beans, and

a suggestion to think about a time when they would be near Tresidder Plaza, so that they

wouldn't have to go out of their way.

The letters were randomly sent to "saints" and "jerks".

When they tallied up who had given and who hadn't, only 8% of the "saints" who

received the control letter gave and 0% of the "jerks" did.

Among those who received the detailed letter, 42% of "saints" donated and 25% of "jerks"

donated.

In other words, a "jerk" with a map was 3 times more likely to donate than a "saint"

without one.

As you go about your day, notice how your path has been tweaked.

Traffic engineers affect your driving behavior.

Grocery store managers want to keep you in the store longer so they put essentials like

milk at the back.

Office managers create open floor plans to encourage collaboration.

Many ATMs force you to remove your card before dispensing the cash so that you don't forget

to take your card.

Environmental tweaks are all around.

Now think about the changes you are trying to create for your team.

Are you trying to encourage more collaboration?

What subtle environmental tweaks can you make so that collaboration becomes easier?

Are you trying to create greater flow by limiting work-in-progress?

What ways can you shape the path so that people aren't tempted to pick up a second task

before completing the first one?

When trying to change behavior, we often reach for carrots and sticks, but we need to realize

that we actually have access to more tools than that.

If you change the path, you can change behavior.

I'm Spider-Man - Spider-Man (2002) HD - Duration: 4:59.

I swear on my father's grave, Spider-Man will pay.

Thank God for you, Peter.

You're the only family I have.

No matter what I do...

...no matter how hard I try...

...the ones I love will always be the ones who pay.

You must miss him so much.

It's been so hard without him.

There's something I've been wanting to tell you.

When I was up there...

...and I thought I was gonna die...

...there was only one person who I was thinking of.

And it wasn't who I thought it'd be.

It was you, Pete.

I kept thinking:

"I hope I make it through this...

...so I can see Peter Parker's face one more time."

Really?

There's only one man who's always been there for me...

...who makes me feel...

...like I'm more than I ever thought I could be.

That I'm just...

...me.

And that's okay.

The truth is...

...I love you.

I love you so much, Peter.

All I wanted was to tell her how much I loved her.

I can't...

You can't what?

Tell you...

...everything. I mean, there's so much to tell.

Yeah. There's so much to tell.

I want you to know...

...that I will always be there for you.

I will always be there to take care of you.

I promise you that.

I will always be your friend.

Only a friend...

...Peter Parker?

That's all I have to give.

Whatever life holds in store for me...

...I will never forget these words:

"With great power comes great responsibility."

This is my gift.

My curse.

Who am I?

59 | Registering the New Shogun (Insurance and Montenegro Vignette) - Sailing Around the World - Duration: 10:26.

♫ Music ♫

We spent the last month preparing the boat to leave.

But in parallel, we also take care of the documentation.

Buying a boat isn't about only paying and sailing,

there's a bit of bureaucracy even in Europe and the United States.

First you have to decide the flag and then enter the documentation and wait to get there.

Only then you can get the navigation authorization in the country that you are.

We came here in the nautical shop today to buy our flags.

And one more polishing paste.

And we finding everything absurdly expensive here in Montenegro, especially.

We just spent 40 euros on 3 flags and a polishing paste ...

Wonderful.

In this episode we will show you how this process was and some things that we discovered along the way.

Today me and Betinho left to celebrate Valentine's Day.

We walked 5 kilometers, then I found a euro and gave him a Coke as a gift.

Uhul!

♫ Music ♫

But first, we would like to thank the new supporters who have come in the last few days

and also, of course, the usual supporters.

With this financial support, we are able to produce much more content

and we already think of having two videos a week.

If you want to be part of this supporters team, access our Apoia.se

or Patreon in the video description.

♫ Music ♫

Look, when we can find meat, it rains.

- Hey Renato, approved? - 100%, so good!

- Cassia, is the meat approved? - It's delicious!

What's up, Betinho?

♫ Music ♫

Nina gave us support to do the documentation through her partner who is in Slovenia.

Tomorrow we'll probably get our boat document,

which decided to make a long trip ...

It went through several countries to get here in Montenegro.

They made a mistake in the country, it went to Germany, came back ... Anyway.

We have been doing this since June 1st, it was the day that we started the documentation part.

So it took a week and a half, I think.

They say they will deliver until today, the 21st.

Until midnight.

But there's no way we can stay until midnight at the house where Beto ordered to deliver.

So let's see, if they call, we'll get a cab and get it.

But no news so far...

But it will get here.

What's up Betinho, this is it?

We changed our meeting place because the DHL guy couldn't find it.

How exciting!

♫ Music ♫

Come on Betinho, the most awaited moment!

After 20 days.

Uhul, Shogun, I want to see the name! Shogun, Shogun, Shogun!

Yaaay!

Oh, how great!

And this little card? Is there a card there?

- It's the registration. - That cool!

Now the boys came here for the sticker. Where's yours, Renato? Let me see.

Pharea, wow!

And ours, Betinho? Then we will open ... Wow, there are several!

♫ Music ♫

Half the things are done.

Document done. Withdrawn.

Sticker. Now it's only missing...

Insurance.

Insurance and pay the vignette from Montenegro, so we can get out on the boat.

There are only two things left, it's almost over. But it won't be today either.

A toast! To the document, to the stickers, uhul!

We just did the insurance.

The insurance here ... We decided to do in Montenegro, which is valid only in Montenegro.

It is valid for 30 days and we paid 88 euros.

We'll go to the bank now.

And then arriving in Croatia, we have already talked, already chose an insurance, we know the price and everything,

there in Croatia that we will make the insurance that will be valid for the entire Adriatic

and which is valid for one year.

Then we'll show you the costs later.

Because we have to do a inspection, someone has to go on the boat ...

So we preferred to do this in Croatia than in Montenegro.

Because we're going to stay here for another 20 days.

So we took this one for 30 days.

Now all is missing is the vignette.

And it's over, we can leave the marina. Thank God!

♫ Music ♫

Ready! Shogun is already renamed.

We took the name that was here, which was Snail, but the name of the boat was very small.

And now we have Shogun here and we also put the registration number down there in the bow.

And in our boat we also put Shogun.

♫ Music ♫

Yesterday we got the document, insurance and then today we came to do the vignette.

The vignette is a document that you need to pay in some countries and have this monthly, annual authorization ...

Fortnightly, you choose.

In the case of Montenegro, we will ask for a monthly one, but it could be a week or three months.

And then we came to the port, which probably will not be the one that we will leave the country,

but we came to the port, that's where we're going to do it.

And why did we come on foot and not with the boat?

Because as our boat ... For now, it is from nowhere, no one knows it is here in Montenegro.

So we had to come on foot exactly because we can't move the boat yet.

Let's do it now and we'll show you how much it costs.

♫ Music ♫

We just left the harbor master.

That's where we made the vignette.

So we paid 85 euros for the boat vignette for a month.

And also had a tourist fee that we did not know about.

According to the size of our boat, we paid 25 euros.

This tourism fee is valid also for one month.

So it was 110 euros? Is my math correct?

Plus the insurance.

Oh yeah, plus the insurance that we did yesterday that was also 88 euros.

All this for only a month here, okay?

If it is more, it increases.

Now we have come to celebrate, since the boat is ready to leave.

Since we've already spent a lot.

To stay here for a month.

Let's throw everything up in the air.

♫ Music ♫

Beto is already gluing over where it was.

This sticker is pretty hard to take it off.

Are you playing?

I'm registering our MMSI.

MMSI. Explain.

It's our VHF radio code.

Worldwide unique code.

That identifies us as much as when we call, or if there is any danger.

So they already know which boat it is, etc.

♫ Music ♫

Today, another step is completed. The radio.

For you who like to know the prices ...

Today we bought a nautical silicone, which in Brazil is usually about 15 or 20 reais

and here it was 13 euros.

But WD is cheaper and so is Cicaflex.

After this steps, we were able to take the first tour with Shogun, to test it while sailing.

Time is starting to get short as Google's quarantine is ending

and we need to pick him up in Venice, Italy, on August 19th.

In the next video, we'll show you our first tours with Shogun.

We went thought a big anchor test, with winds of more than 30 knots.

[wind]

Don't forget to leave your like and comment and share the video.

This helps the channel a lot, we count on you!

Hug and good winds!

Blue Neuville - Paris Lights [Official Lyrics Video] - Duration: 2:59.

📝 Blue Neuville - Paris Lights Lyrics

Waking up with the first sign of sunlight

Still feeling freaky about last night

But now I have to get away

I wanna see where the roads will take me

It's the only way I can be free

Leaving you ain't easy believe me

Paris lights they shine so bright

And Bangkok keeps me up, keeps me up at night

Tokyo you're quite alright

But, Rio has my love ❤

Still it's not enough

Drove a thousand miles to forget you

Still you control my mind like voodoo

Never thought that I would feel this way

Popping pills on a rooftop party

But every girl reminds me of your body

Is there a place where I'd rather be

Paris lights they shine so bright

And Bangkok keeps me up, keeps me up at night

Tokyo you're quite all right

But Rio has my love ❤

Still it's not enough

Doing shots for the thrill of it, killing it

Who's this girl at the bar I'm drinking with

Feel a kiss but can't push her away

[Blinded by the lights] I'm slowly drifting away

Seeing you in every girl That wants a piece of me

CREEPIEST Abandoned Amusement Parks! - Duration: 12:22.

Is there anything creepier than an abandoned amusement park?

From the USA to Hungary, here are 10 of the happiest places turned into spooky, desolate

areas.

Visit if you dare!!

10.

Gulliver's Kingdom, Japan The Japanese are really something when it

comes to business ideas.

In 1997, they wanted to open an amusement park based on the famous novel by Jonathan

Swift "Gulliver's Travels", because who doesn't want to pretend they are in

an 18th century English novel??

Apparently not enough people because the park closed down just 4 years later.

I mean it's not really that trendy when you have Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Jurassic

Park.

Not only was this theme probably outdated, but the park was boring and it was in the

middle of nowhere!

Well actually not nowhere, but it was actually very close to Aokigahara forest, the most

popular suicide spot in the world after the Golden Gate Bridge.

The village nearby was home to a doomsday cult so besides the park, there is nothing

else to draw you to this area unless you have dark intentions.

The amusement park had almost no rides, except a bobsled track, and some interactive entertainment

with people pretending to be from the legendary land of Lilliput.

The center of the whole thing was poor Gulliver, who was attacked and tied to the ground, his

face in a contorted, scared position.

Did the developers forget this was supposed to be a fun, happy place?

The fun thing is that you could lie in the palm of his hand and feel tiny.

It wasn't enough to draw ticket sales and the park was completely demolished in 2007.

9.

Spreepark, Berlin This place was first opened in 1969 under

the name of Kulturpark Plänterwald, in what was then East Berlin.

After the fall of the Berlin wall, in 1989, the park was renamed to Spreepark, because

it was built right next to the Spree river.

It was quite an attraction because, for years, it was the only amusement park in East Germany.

It was full of dinosaurs walking around the gardens and fun rides.

The fall of the Berlin wall, meant the fall of the park.

The problems for the park began in 1991 when its owner – Norbert Witte took over.

He crashed a crane into a ride, killing 7 people and injuring 15 others making this

the worst carnival disaster in Germany to date.

This was just the beginning.

He added tons of rides and invested millions by 1997 but people just stopped going.

Witte was facing bankruptcy.

He tried to save himself by fleeing to Peru.

Then on top of that, he was caught trying to smuggle cocaine back into Germany inside

parts for the rides, and he was sentenced to 8 years in prison.

His son was caught in Peru and was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years.

And so, his dream of trying to reopen the park for the public failed.

As for the park site itself, it's in ruins, being vandalized year after year…In 2014

the city took over and they tried to step up security but it is no use.

People report hearing strange noises coming from the park like creaking, groaning machinery,

people screaming….Urban explorers warn that if you are going to try to sneak in, never

go alone.

And now for number 8, but first if you are new here be sure to subscribe before you leave

and remember to hit the notification bell so you don't miss out on the latest videos!

8.

L'Aquatic Paradis, Spain This water park was built in Sitges near the

city of Barcelona but, unfortunately, it didn't stay open for long.

From the very start, L'Aquatic Paradis was faced with a myriad of problems.

It had tons of slides and pools and people were excited about it, but two years after

opening there was a tragic accident and then massive debt issues….sound familiar?

When it closed in the 90's the aquatic paradise was shut down and stories of the park became

urban legend.

People claim that a child died in an accident while going down a slide, and one story goes

that a child was sucked under by the engine of the wave machine.

The park was shut down but the park has been far from empty!

It has become a haven for skaters, teens, music bands, and whoever else wants to hang

out.

Signs were put up to keep people out but you know how that goes.

Graffiti artists aren't scared of those signs!

More recently, police have taken over to practice their drills and keep the counterculture out!

7.

Akvadroma Water Park, Russia This complex, also known as the Indoor Complex

near Moscow was approved for construction in 1997 – the idea was to have a huge center

for the upcoming World Youth Games.

It was an enormous undertaking, as it took over an area of 43,000 square meters (468,000

sq. feet), with 9 floors complete with swimming pools, water slides, track and field course,

offices, and medical center.

It was supposed to be much more than a water park!!

The Russians didn't make it in time for the Youth Games, but they kept on working

on it until 2002.

As you might have guessed, it didn't turn out well.

All construction on the park was suspended, and just two years later, the whole area was

sold, with plans of building a shopping center on the premises.

In the end, all that's left are ruins and a huge chunk of concrete.

This place could have been a world-wide tourist attraction, but the idea is lost forever.

Graffiti artists and editorial photographers might enjoy it.

6.

Lake Dolores, USA This waterpark was the first ever in the United

States.

It used to be a popular desert attraction but now it is abandoned in the middle of the

Mojave Desert, California.

It was known as Lake Dolores or Rock-A-Hoola Waterpark, back in the day.

The name Dolores actually comes from the name of the person who built it.

The local businessman, Bob Byers, wanted to build this waterpark primarily for himself

and his family, and he decided to name it after his beloved wife.

The initial planning and construction was done in the late 1950s and early 1960.

The complex was opened for the public in 1962, and it saw some steady business early on,

because it was located near Interstate 15.

In the next couple of decades, business was booming, and the waterpark reached the peak

of its popularity in the late 1970s.

However, things took a turn for the worse in the 80s and the park was soon closed.

The Byers had major financial issues, and finally – Dolores Byers sold the entire

property in 2001, five years after her husband Bob passed away.

She also passed away, one month after selling the estate.

Today, not much of the old glory remains.

The vast majority of water slides and attractions are no more, as they were sold to other similar

water parks around the globe.

The wires and metal fences have been demolished and stolen, so if you want to walk around

– you can do it without any problem.

It does have a nostalgic feel, and now artists and photographers often go there to get some

good views.

5.

Dunaújváros Vidámpark, Hungary This Hungarian park was very popular back

in the day – the beginnings of this park go back to the 19th century!

While it was severely damaged during WWII, in the 60s and 70s, the place was booming

because so many people wanted to go!

It was fixed up to look like an "English Park" in 1952, but it became even more popular

after the Hungarian revolution 4 years later.

For the next couple of decades – this park was awesome!!

However, as the 1980's approached, the cost to maintain the park grew more and more.

This was happening all over since the financial situation in all of the countries "behind

the iron curtain" was far from great.

The ticket price for the amusement park got higher and higher.

When communism collapsed, people found all kinds of new ways to entertain themselves

since the social climate and the market changed considerably.

The park was finally closed in 1993, and it stayed that way for some 20 years, when it

was finally demolished, leaving behind only sparse traces of its former glory.

The good news is that some of the historical buildings are still preserved and what remains

belongs to an animal and botanical park.

4.

Holy Land, USA This attraction located in Waterbury, Connecticut

was full of religious exhibits and bible studies for the whole family!

It was big for around 30 years and attracted about 40,000 people a year to be exact.

And for a reason.

Because it was created for a very specific purpose, to give the faithful good, clean

fun.

How?

By depicting Biblical scenes down to a tee.

In the 1950s, John Greco built this park as a tribute to the Holy Land in Israel.

This was an amazing feat, because John Greco did it with community volunteers using recycled

materials and cinder blocks.

He made models of Jerusalem and Bethlehem, as well as many other Biblical and holy locations,

with around 200 structures in total.

In 1986, John Greco died, and this amusement park was left to a group of nuns, to guard

it and take care of it.

Unfortunately, a teenager got killed in 2010 near the park, which gave rise to all kinds

of ghost stories about the haunted site.

Year after year the park has gotten vandalised and now you can see graffiti and broken crosses.

The park was bought from the nuns in 2013 and, according to latest information, there

are rumors about reviving this religious attraction.

If you're feeling really disappointed right now and Christian theme parks are your thing,

then there is a place you can go.

The Holy Land Experience in Orlando, Florida and you can get an autograph from Jesus himself!

Joyland, Wichita, USA This amusement park was started by the Ottaway

family during the economic boom in Wichita.

Lester Ottaway bought a steam locomotive in 1933, and wanted to build something around

it, so ergo we have Joyland!!

People used to come mostly in the evenings to cool off and enjoy every one's company,

especially since there was no TV!

Lester Ottaway died in the 1950s, but his three sons didn't want to end the family

business.

They continued working on the park, adding more rides, and wild animals like lions and

deer.

In the early 1970s, the three Ottaway brothers decided to retire, and they sold their park

to Stanley and Margaret Nelson, who ran the park for the next 30 years.

The park was eventually closed after a boy fell out of a roller coaster and guards were

attacked by youths with knives….The park was slowly dying and even though there have

been a couple of attempts of renewing it, it didn't happen.

For some years, the park has been continually destroyed by vandals and taken over by nature.

Takakanonuma Greenland, Japan Don't let the name confuse you- this place

is not in Greenland, but Japan!

This amusement park was opened back in 1973, but it was closed only two years later.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but official sources said that there just weren't

enough ticket sales.

Which means that the Japanese didn't do a proper market analysis, which doesn't

sound like them at all!!

Other sources claim that there were some deaths on the amusement park rides, and that this

led to the park shutting down, which definitely could be the case.

All in all, the park was closed for more than a decade, and it was reopened in 1986.

It lasted until 1999, and then it was shut down for good.

This time, it wasn't the accidents, but competition from other similar amusement parks,

such as Tokyo Disneyland.

The park was abandoned, and nature soon took over.

Nowadays, it looks eerie and it's really hard to find it, because the whole area has

been taken over by lush vegetation.

Greenland, indeed.

1.

Pripyat Amusement Park, Ukraine This amusement park really didn't have any

luck.

It was opened in in the town of Pripyat, north of Kiev, but it didn't last long.

In fact, it lasted for less than one day!

Yes, strange as it may sound, this amusement park was closed less than 24 hours after being

opened to the public.

When it was made, this amusement park had everything for decent family fun: bumper cars,

a Ferris wheel, you name it.

But although it was nicely conceived, the Chernobyl nuclear disaster sealed its fate,

among with everything else.

The park was opened on April 27, 1986, just one day after the aforementioned disaster.

At the time, no one was sure what had happened, so things went on as normal.

But as soon as the news spread, the park had to be shut down to evacuate the whole area.

Chernobyl is located some 20 km from Pripyat, so there was no way of staying there!

Nowadays, the footage we have of the Pripyat park is really amazing: everything is still

there, only there are no people to enjoy all the benefits of the brand new amusement park.

No fun at all, folks.

Sergio Ramos makes big Qatar World Cup claim: 'I'll play with a grey beard if necessary' - Duration: 2:06.

Spain were dumped out of the World Cup by Russia yesterday after a dramatic last 16 penalty shoot out

And a number of players are expected to follow Andres Iniesta's lead in calling time on their Spain careers

But Ramos, 32, is not one of them. "F***, it's difficult," a teary Ramos said. "It's so many hours, so much effort and so much dedication

Maybe this wasn't our best moment but we go home without having lost a game. "I would like to carry on playing [for Spain] for many more years because I'm going home with a terrible pain

I'm going to have to go to Qatar with a grey beard if necessary." Ramos was involved in Spain's opener against Russia when the ball went in off Russian defender Sergei Ignashevich

And he also felt he should have had a penalty in extra time with five minutes to go, but the referee refused to budge

Spain were among the pre tournament favourites but join Germany, Portugal and Argentina in going home early

Ramos added in a tweet: "It hurts a lot but nobody should doubt that we'll be back to try again and again

Some will go and others will come along but we'll all defend this shirt with passion and respect

In defeat I feel even more proud of being Spanish." Spain's exit opens up England's side of the draw now with one from Croatia, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Colombia and England to reach the final
