The end is looming near for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

Fed up House conservatives have begun taking steps to impeach the Deep State opertive,

according to a new report.

House conservatives have begun planning the impeachment of Deputy Attorney General Rod

Rosenstein, according to reports.

Leading Freedom Caucus members Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) are laying

the groundwork to bring articles of impeachment against Rosenstein, as House investigators

accuse the Justice Department of stonewalling their requests for documents related to the

agency's surveillance of Donald Trump's presidential campaign.

Politico writes:

House conservatives are preparing a new push to oust Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein,

according to three conservative Capitol Hill sources — putting the finishing touches

on an impeachment filing even as Rosenstein announced the indictment of 12 Russian intelligence

officers for interfering in the 2016 election.

House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows, in fact, had the impeachment document on the

floor of the House at the very moment that Rosenstein spoke to reporters and TV cameras

Friday.

Reports of the plan come after Rosenstein announced charges Friday against 12 Russian

intelligence officers for hacking offenses during the 2016 election and pushed back on

allegations that FBI agents are leaking details of the probe to reporters.

The Russians are accused of hacking into the computer networks of the Democratic National

Committee, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and the presidential campaign of

Hillary Clinton – then releasing stolen emails on the Internet in the months before

the election.

The indictment represents special counsel Robert Mueller's first charges against Russian

government officials for interfering in American politics, an effort U.S. intelligence agencies

claim was aimed at helping the Trump campaign and harming his Democratic opponent, Hillary

Clinton.

The case follows a separate indictment that accused Russians of using social media to

sow discord among American voters.

The 29-page indictment purports how, months before Americans went to the polls, Russians

schemed to break into key Democratic email accounts, including those belonging to Clinton

campaign chairman John Podesta, the Democratic National Committee, and the Democratic Congressional

Campaign Committee.

Stolen emails, many politically damaging for Clinton, appeared on WikiLeaks in the campaign's

final stretch.

Rosenstein recently testified before House lawmakers on the details about the Justice

Department's surveillance tactics during the Russia investigation.

The House Judiciary Committee hearing marked Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein's

first appearance before Congress since an internal DOJ report criticizing the FBI's

handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation revealed new disparaging text messages among

FBI officials about Donald Trump during the 2016 election.

FBI Director Christopher Wray also appeared at the hearing.

Republicans on the panel grilled the deep state officials on the watchdog report to

highlighting bias by the FBI.

"This country is being hurt by it.

We are being divided," Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said of Mueller's investigation.

"Whatever you got," Gowdy added, "Finish it the hell up because this country is being

torn apart."

Rosenstein, who lost his cool at times, raised his voice and wagged his finger while defending

himself and the department against allegations of stonewalling.

The Justice Department officials claimed despite Republican allegations, he was "not trying

to hide anything."

"We are not in contempt of this Congress, and we are not going to be in contempt of

this Congress," Rosenstein told lawmakers.

Underscoring their merited frustration, Republicans briefly put the hearing on hold so they could

approve a resolution on the House floor demanding that the Justice Department turn over thousands

of documents within a seven day period.

The resolution that passed along party lines Thursday demanded that the department turn

over by July 6 documents on FBI investigations into Clinton's private email use and Trump

campaign ties to Russia.

Both investigations unfolded during the presidential election, causing the FBI — which prides

itself on independence — to become entangled in presidential politics in ways that are

continuing to shake out.

Meadows, one of the resolution's sponsors, did not deny Democratic assertions that the

document requests were related to efforts to undercut Mueller's probe.

"Yes, when we get these documents, we believe that it will do away with this whole fiasco

of what they call the Russian Trump collusion because there wasn't any," he said on

the House floor.

The House judiciary and intelligence panels, which have subpoenaed the documents, want

to use the records for congressional investigations into the FBI's decision to clear Clinton

in the email probe and its opening of an investigation into potential coordination between the Trump

campaign and Russia.

The Justice Department has already turned over more than 800,000 documents to congressional

committees, yet the subpoenas seek additional materials, including records about any surveillance

of Trump campaign associates.

New Bombshell Text Shows Strzok and McCabe COLLUDED on Russia Witch Hunt

Well, well, well, we have a newly uncovered text message that is blowing the LID off the

"Russia collusion" story, and it spells very bad news for anti-Trump FBI agents Peter

Strzok, and disgraced former FBI Assistant Director Andrew McCabe.

Turns out the new text message shows that McCabe and Strzok actually colluded together

on the Russia investigation.

FBI agent Peter Strzok's text to FBI lawyer Lisa Page hours after FBI Director James Comey

was fired that said they needed to "open the case we've been waiting on" now that

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was in charge was related to the Trump-Russia investigation,

according to Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).

"That text message was not unrelated to Russia," Gaetz said in an exclusive interview

with Breitbart News on Tuesday.

The evening right after Comey was fired on May 9, 2017, Strzok had texted Page, his then-paramour,

at 8:14 p.m. with: "We need to open the case we've been waiting on now while Andy

is acting."

Page responded the next morning at 4:57 a.m., with: "We need to lock in [redacted].

In a formal, chargeable way.

Soon."

Strzok confirmed during his testimony on Thursday that "Andy" meant McCabe, but refused

to confirm what "case" he was referring to, or who Page was talking about.

But Page, who testified behind closed doors on Friday and Monday was much more forthcoming

about those texts, Gaetz said.

"It's my understanding from discussions with my colleagues that Rosenstein had indicated

that it had nothing to do with Russia or the Trump campaign, that it was this unrelated

matter," he said.

"Strzok refused to answer what it was related to.

And Lisa Page gave a testimony that was in direct conflict with what I understood to

be Rosenstein's explanation."

Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX) told Strzok during his open-testimony last week that if he and

Page talked about opening an investigation based on who was then-FBI director, it would

violate due process.

"Decisions about when and whether to open investigations and when and whether to charge

people with crimes aren't supposed to depend on who's sitting in the director's chair,

or on political decisions, or on the political agendas of FBI agents and lawyers," he said

last week at a House Judiciary and Oversight & Government Reform Committees joint hearing.

"So if a Trump-hating FBI agent and a Trump-hating FBI lawyer who have talked about effing Trump,

stopping Trump, impeaching Trump are, within hours of President Trump firing their boss,

if they start talking about opening an investigation now that 'Andy is acting,' and that some

person needs to be locked in in a 'formal, chargeable way, soon' — I know, as a former

U.S. attorney … whoever is the subject of that case that was opened now that Andy is

acting — and whoever you and Ms. Page talked about needing to be locked in soon in a formal

chargeable way — well, they would have had their civil liberties violated.

"They would have been deprived of due process."

At the time of those exchanges, Comey had just been fired, McCabe had become acting

FBI director, and Special Counsel Robert Mueller had not yet been appointed.

Both Page and Strzok played key roles on both the Clinton email and Trump-Russia investigations.

Page served as legal counsel to McCabe, and as his liaison to Clinton email and Trump-Russia

investigation teams.

She would then work on the special counsel team for two months before her assignment

there ended.

Strzok, led the Clinton email and Trump-Russia investigations, then served on the special

counsel team until Mueller learned of the text messages Strzok and Page had sent.

During those three phases, Strzok and Page exchanged at least 50,000 text messages to

one another, many of which expressed animus towards Trump and a preference for Clinton.

In one text, Strzok had told Page that they would "stop" Trump's election.

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz found in an investigation of the

FBI's handling of the Clinton email investigation that Strzok's text messages showed a "biased

state of mind" and a "willingness to act."

Horowitz is now investigating whether Strzok's bias against Trump affected the FBI's investigation

into the Trump campaign.

During last week's open hearing, Strzok revealed that Mueller never asked him any

questions about those text messages, and simply dismissed him due to the "appearance"

of bias.

Lawmakers during the hearing rejected that explanation, arguing that other lawyers on

the special counsel team also had the appearance of bias since they had donated to or worked

for Democrats, but they were not kicked off the team.

Gaetz also said another exchange between Strzok and Page discussing their career decisions

showed that they did not believe there was any evidence of collusion, about 10 months

after the FBI had launched its investigation into the Trump campaign on July 31, 2016,

but before Mueller was appointed.

"My reaction to Lisa Page's testimony is that at that time, there really was zero

basis for collusion, and Strzok and Page both knew it," he said.

"It's a significant factual revelation, that deep into the FBI's investigation of

the Trump-Russia allegation, there was no evidence, and that Mueller was in fact appointed

in the absence of evidence.

Gaetz said that Page, like Strzok, also denied that her personal views against Trump played

a role in her decision-making.

"Her demeanor was confidence.

She was not cagey and coy.

I thought she was direct.

She obviously maintained the Strzok line of reasoning that, 'Well I personally held

these views, but it never affected our investigative work.'"

"I did not believe her when she said her bias was walled off from work, but I was appreciative

that she answered more questions than Strzok did," he said.

Did God destroy Sodom & Gomorrah for homosexuality? - Duration: 6:58.

If you didn't know, former President Jimmy Carter is a self-described "born again Christian."

He's a lifelong Baptist and a Sunday school teacher.

So when a reporter asked him in 2015 about Jesus and same-sex marriage, his answer caused

kind of a stir.

I never have run across any really serious conflicts between my political obligations

and my religious faith.

[Reporter]: How about gay marriage?

That's no problem with me.

You know—I think everybody should have a right to get married, regardless of their sex.

The only thing I would draw a line on, I wouldn't be in favor of the government being able to

force a local church congregation to perform gay marriages if they didn't want to.

Would Jesus approve gay marriage?

I believe he would.

I believe Jesus would.

I don't have any verse in Scripture.

[Reporter]: No no no, but I just—intuitively, yeah.

I believe that Jesus would approve gay marriage.

But I'm not—that's just my own personal belief.

These three-year-old comments started going viral again last week.

And that prompted the late Billy Graham's son, Franklin, to say this on his Facebook

page:

"The Bible is very clear.

God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality."

You know, we've all heard this so many times that it just sounds like it must be true.

But does the Bible actually say that?

The passage Franklin is talking about is in Genesis 19.

You can read it for yourself.

In the story, Lot is living in the city of Sodom with his wife and daughters, when two

angels, disguised as foreign travelers, come to warn Lot that God has decided to destroy

the city.

There's no reference here to homosexuality or gay people; we're just told that Sodom

is a wicked city.

Lot welcomes the travelers into his home for the night.

But then an angry mob of "the men of the city…both young and old, all the people

from every quarter" surrounds the house.

The mob demands that Lot send the travelers out, quote, "that we may know them."

Which most scholars agree is a euphemistic threat of gang rape.

That one line—that threat of rape—is the single reason people claim God destroyed Sodom

for "homosexuality."

Nowhere in the Bible does it ever say that there was gay sex going on in Sodom, or that

there were gay couples or even gay people in Sodom—it's just this one threat of

gang rape by an angry mob.

So first of all, rape is rape!

We can all agree that what's happening in this passage is sinful and despicable.

That has nothing to do with being gay.

But does the fact that men threatened to rape other men mean that Sodom was entirely populated

by gay men?

Of course not.

This was a threat of violence, not a request for fun sexy times.

Imagine if the story said that two black men arrived at a rural white Southern town in

1950 and a mob threatened to rape them.

You wouldn't think, "Oh, all these Southern white guys must have been gay."

No, you'd understand that threat for what it was: pure, vile hatred and racism.

That's how this story would have read to the audience of the time—a threat of humiliating

violence against these foreigners, letting them know their kind isn't wanted here.

Then when Lot tries to intervene, they tell him, "We'll treat you worse than them"

and call him a "foreigner" as well.

And we see the exact same thing play out later in another city, in Gibeah in Judges 19.

A foreign traveler arrives in Gibeah, a good man takes him in, and an angry mob threatens

to rape him, then rapes and murders his concubine instead.

This isn't about sexual desire.

It's about hate.

These threats of gang rape don't mean that the people of Sodom or the people of Gibeah

were all attracted to men.

These were lynch mobs.

And in that context, it makes sense why we're told that God was angry enough to wipe Sodom

out—not just because of this one incident, but because this represented how the city had

been for a long time.

And I think there's a reason the Bible gives us these stories about threats against travelers.

Ancient travelers had to depend on the generosity of others; they couldn't just book a room

at the Hilton.

And the Bible frequently uses caring for those in need—like widows, orphans, and travelers—as

shorthand for indicating that someone is righteous (and generous to those in need) or unrighteous

(and selfish).

Here we have stories of cities that aren't just "not generous" to foreign travelers—they're

outright hostile to them, to the point of threats and even physical harm.

It's selfishness to the worst possible extreme.

According to the prophet Ezekiel, that selfishness is what characterized Sodom:

"Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed

and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy."

And any good Christian theologian should know this.

Even televangelist Pat Robertson, who isn't pro-gay at all, was quick to bring this up

during a pledge drive:

We have been so blessed in this country, and we need to show our gratitude by taking care

of the poor and the needy.

You know, this was the sin of Sodom.

It was pride and careless ease and they didn't plead the cause of those who were hurting

and needy.

That was the sin of Sodom.

The Lord, when He pointed it out, He wasn't talking about sexual immorality; it was pride

and careless ease and they didn't plead the cause of the poor.

He's actually right about this!

Unfortunately, later readers of the text seem to have misunderstood the passage and invented

sexual terms like "sodomite" and "sodomy," forever clouding the public's understanding

of the so-called "sin of Sodom."

Oh, and by the way, in case you're wondering, the Bible never tells us why God destroyed

Gomorrah, other than that it was wicked and Sodom's sister city.

I have more to say about this, but I'll save it for another video.

In the meantime, though, with all due respect to Franklin Graham, the Bible simply does

not say that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality.

What it does say, though, is that God cares about how we treat those in need,

and frankly, I think that's something we all could use a little more of right now.
