25 years of Y-E-N - Our Y-E-N story - Duration: 6:37.

So, Us !

We met in 2001 during a seminar that we called the "Pink Bus"

but that was probably called differently... but I don't remember...

The mobile seminar?

It was a mobile seminar yes! But it was called something like "From Exclusion to Inclusion"

I don't remember!

And yes, it was a mobile seminar. It started and finished in Munich, Germany

And we drove through some central countries and some of the Balkan countries

And we would stop in some places

To visit structures that worked on the topic of Inclusion

Among the memories I have of that mobile seminar, I remember this big bus without any seats in the middle

This bus was our home

We would sleep there, we would juggle

We would tell stories to each other, we would sing songs

We would talk about young people in Europe...

I made beautiful memories there, of magical moments!

It was my first international experience

And after it, I never stopped and made it my job

It was the starting point of my professional path

And then, we also met there, PJ and I!

Our relationship started in Ljubljana (Slovenia)

In Metelkova (alternative cultural centre)

We went back to this place after, before we had our little girl

We went on holidays around there and so we made a stop there

Another thing I remember from this seminar was this group of participants

that was kind of magical, and also the team of trainers who were with us

during this project. So, Fabrice was there with us,

and then I remember Dadou, a big thought goes to him

and his wife Cathy

And Bjorn and Charlotte

This meeting was true, beautiful and important, it created something

for both of our lives

Because it marked the start of our carriers in the international field

Yes! Well, for me it's the same, I share the same memories! Because I was there!

It was... It started... I remember I travelled with Eva, a friend from Belgium

It was Jo Claeys, who was part of the Board at the time,

He had contacted me and said to me: "It will be awesome! An amazing project!"

"It's in a bus and you'll do a lot of amazing stuff, and the people will be awesome"

So I said "Okay! Let's do it!"

Then, yes, we made friends there

We still see 5-6 of the people regularly

People we kept contact with

And it was my first project as well

and I got in contact with people who were part of Y-E-N

or also ENOA, which was starting as an European network during those years

and for which I worked until... well until this week actually, we closed ENOA

Officially as a matter of fact

Beautiful encounters, both personally and professionally

that deeply changed me

A lot of things happened within the projects, after the bus seminar

After the seminar, we took part in a youth exchange on a barge

Then after this project on a boat

We continued organising mobile projects. One of them in Romania

With Eugen, who is still part of Y-E-N, big hug to him

It was called "Romanimation", and we left in wooden caravans

We would go from village to village, in Romania, and organise street animations

Which was the same topic of the boat project

"Through public space animations,

how to create social links between the youth and the local community and create citizenship spaces

Those were projects that meant a lot to us and that were born from this mobile seminar

Yes, since then we have been doing serious stuff !

And then, some months later, PJ and I met again on a ENOA project

which was starting, and in a way was also a Y-E-N baby actually

because it formed an opportunity

for people who had taken part in international projects

to try out their skills and get experience in a networking space

And this was a truly beautiful experience for us,

and thanks to this project, everything started

It really was the beginning for us in this field

So, for all of this: Thank you Y-E-N!

For having given us the opportunity of participating in this project

For helping us to meet each other

and so, in a way, for our beautiful daughter too!

Because, Lena... we didn't call her Y-E-N

but we almost could have called her Y-E-N, because after all, she is a Y-E-N baby

Fashion is a moving target and your trending favs won't necessarily appeal to everyone.

We understand that most of the time women are dressing for themselves, not for the attention

of men.

But if you are trying to snag the attention of your current man-crush, here are some styles

to steer clear of.

Maxi skirts

While they can easily be dressed up or dressed down, Who What Wear dubbed the maxi skirt

a fashion trend that continues to stick around.

"Ooh do you feel the breeze from the subway, isn't it delicious?"

But although this flowy fashion may come in all kinds of patterns, men haven't exactly

come to appreciate the maxed-out versatility.

Sachin Bhola, fashion editor at AskMen, told Refinery29,

"Remember the last time we complimented you on your amazing legs?

Neither do we.

With maxi dresses, long skirts, and '70s wide-legged trousers, you may as well stop shaving."

Sky-high heels

Let's get real: do you love a great heel?

"Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes.

That's why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun."

Well, it shouldn't be shocking that some men don't get their appeal.

Bhola told Refinery29,

"Not all of us are over 6'0" tall, and that bothers us.

You may think looking like a giraffe is sexy, but all that's doing is rubbing it in.

And you wonder why we don't approach [you] at the club."

"She's taller than all of the women in my family combined."

So…if you're into a shorter guy, should you give up your heels?

Maybe stick to flats to play on the safe side, but not all men have the same opinion, and

who knows?

He might like a tall gal as well.

UGGs

If you've ever worn these soft sheepskin boots, you likely understand wanting to wear them

everywhere, all winter long.

UGGs were all the rage in the early 2000s but the trend never truly went away.

Love them or hate-love them, UGGs have become a wardrobe staple.

"What the f---'s on your feet?"

"They're UGGS."

"They're lady shoes."

So what does the man in your life think about your UGGs?

Well, if he's not wearing a pair himself, he probably doesn't get the Ugg life.

30-something Anup told Thought Catalog,

"They've got to go."

And 22-year-old Isaiah agreed, telling the site,

"They've become tacky.

Tights and Uggs.

EEK!!"

Okay, dudes can say what they want about our cozy boots but there's no need to drag our

tights into it!

Oversized sweaters

Love a great "boyfriend sweater"?

Well, your actual boyfriend might not.

One particular fella told Huffington Post,

"Over-large sweaters,seriously, get out of the '80s."

But, too bad, guy,sweaters will never go out of style unless winter stops being a thing.

Who What Wear even named balloon-sleeved sweaters the cold weather trend of 2017, and recommended

tucking those knits into skirts and jeans, by the following year.

Even cardigans made a similar comeback in early 2018, according to Harper's Bazaar.

"It's totally chic, like I've never had a sexual thought before in my life."

If you wanna stay on trend, but still keep your partner on board, you can.

The mag suggested wearing them off the shoulder, or cinched with a belt.

"It's even cool for men to wear cardigans now."

Mom jeans

By the spring of 2017, '90s style high-waisted jeans secured a spot in the top 10 trendiest

styles, according to Woman's Day.

"The mom jean, believe it or not, is having a comeback.

It's all about the higher rise, the lighter wash, the slightly tapered leg."

Writer and actress Liz Carey joked for The Hollywood Reporter,

"Mom jeans are what I wear when I want no one to bother me…You don't get a lot of

guys hooting and hollering when you roll up with jeans up around your neck."

And, surprise, some men agree with the male perspective on Carey's stance.

A 33-year-old guy named Phil told Who What Wear,

"A woman has the right to dress for comfort; sadly, with these kind of jeans it's usually

at the expense of her lovely shape in return for a competitive bulge."

"I do not steal mom jeans from my mom.

I buy them."

But mom jeans aren't the only denim trend to get a thumbs down from guys.

According to Glamour, destroyed, oversized, and paint-splattered jeans also get a hard

pass.

And when it comes to reader Alex, black jeans make you seem untouchably cool.

He told the mag,

"Black shirt, Blackberry, black JEANS...There's no taking it lightly with her."

"Skinny, boyfriend, jeans underwear, I have like 60 pairs of jeans."

Menswear

Remember how amazing Claire Foy looked when she hit the red carpet in her all black Stella

McCartney suit?

Despite her killing it at the Golden Globes in 2018, not everyone loves the menswear-inspired

trend.

Bhola mocked the style, telling Refinery29,

"Well, finally, we're getting what we always wanted: girls who look like boys."

One writer for Huff Post UK found that wearing menswear enabled her to be taken more seriously

and garner more respect….in the boardroom.

"I wear a blouse, and I wear pants.

That's who I am."

But if you're out on the town looking for some man candy, classic feminine styles are

always a hit.

"I won't know how to order coffee after this.

Because I will be so used to someone else doing it for me."

halfway across the world to visit one of my best friends from college is Korea

yeah Korea is so different I had to fill my

time there I have lots of videos for you guys and of course right now like don't

leading up to a few weeks ago I was only doing kpop react videos from what I

could find online and then I went to Korea and it was an amazing time you'll

notice that there's a lot of videos now dedicated to what I did all my travels

there but one of them was I was gifted a kpop album to Americans this probably

looks like a deluxe edition however when you buy kpop albums it's a big deal

because they all come like this with the full package inside so I wanted to take

a look and see if I like icons album well more so I guess the packaging

because then I'm gonna be taking this baby into my car can't you see me how my

been too distorted my chairs making so much noise and I have this awesome

iPhone going for a great shot at my unboxing okay I'm kidding

this off which is more of a protective layer but I'm sure that these lines have

significance I hi I don't know like does that mean anything because they use a

lot of English terms right okay there's like this latch here too so maybe that

December 23rd 2015 so I think this one is an older CD and Olympic Gymnastics

arena oh ok so they're just advertising that they play on the Olympics you know

I was curious about that because I remember it wasn't BTS who performed but

I knew I had to be somewhat special so it must have been oh I see the CD oh wow

I love the packaging how sturdy this is cuz I know that this is kept very very

secure I'm a little surprised that they didn't come with like a tiny petite flap

for you to travel with this like putting this in your car and stuff but that's

okay I just I don't know what my expectations were but I do

like that they go all out with this to be honest it's like an experience to

open it so I'm trying to think if American album should do the same thing

I would love it I feel like American albums do but they

have it like a deluxe package where you pay extra for but you can definitely

just get the regular CD knowing Americans culture it's very split so I

think that we should keep these things going I think it would be fun if we

explore more creativity behind Americans so then we would bring these more back

in style that would be really cool because then it would be more fun to

open other stuff and also I'm not for sure the pricing of this I'll have to

list that down below but I kind of have a feeling that you know if you were to

get this version of Taylor Swift's album it would be twice as much and I think

that's ridiculous because this here is the experience where like while opening

it you really get to know them you fall in

love with them and you feel like you have a complete purchase and sometimes

that's the most filling thing as it is because then you go into this album with

Increase Your Lag With The Rope Drill - Duration: 3:03.

Hey, Performance Golfers, we've got the ropes out.

We're going to increase your lag in your downswing.

So, some of you may wonder how this rope's going to help you get better.

I'm here to tell you, it will.

I've seen it.

So, here's what happens.

For most of us out there, we can't maintain lag in the downswing long enough, and you're

like, "Coach, I need all the help I can get."

So, here it is.

This rope, because there's a flexibility in the middle of it, instead of having a steel

shaft, you will feel extension in a much more larger manner than normal.

This flag will make it feel so much worse when you throw that club away early, or throw

the flag or the rope away, outside your right foot.

So, you get that feeling of throwing the flag out early, that's your cast.

That's the throw.

That's the flip.

That's all the ugly stuff that you want.

And now you say, "Coach, I don't have that fancy flag that you're carrying around."

You can use a long beach towel.

Clamp it off with some tape at the middle and the ends, and you have yourself a dumbed-down

version of what I've got.

And so, what you can do is, you're trying to get the sensation of having that flag extend

after the golf ball, out past impact.

So, the feeling is, you swing out to the top, extend out past the impact area.

Up to the top, extend out past the impact area.

Now, the feeling that's probably going to change the most is that you will feel like

you're waiting, waiting, waiting, snap.

It's going to feel like it takes a lot longer until your hands actually deliver the club

face through impact.

And it's going to wait, wait, wait, snap.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, snap.

Whereas, normally, it's hit it from the top, snapping early, losing power, losing accuracy.

So, this drill, you want to feel that snap at the end.

Now, if you struggle with it, you can kind of do a little dance, let it rock side to

side, snap it through.

Kind of let it rock side to side, gain a little momentum, snap it through, and just get a

feel of what it's like to create a little lag, and snap it through impact.

Once you've gained that sensation, we can take our golf club.

We've learned how to lie the ball with the flag or towel, and now we're going to see

the ball take off a little bit faster because we've got a little more shaft lean.

So, the feeling's going to change.

You're going to have to feel like you're waiting to snap into impact rather than trying to

get it right out of the gate.

Book Review | Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi - Duration: 3:24.

hi friends it's been a while today I'll be doing a book review on emergency

contact by Mary H.K. Choi she's choitotheworld on Instagram and on Twitter and I

think that is so amazing it's very creative and basically this book is told

through the dual perspective of Penny and Sam who meet each other through

their mutual friend which is Jude. Jude is Penny's college roommate and Jude is

related to Sam by marriage but it's complicated I'm not explaining this here

because I think you should read the book and what happens is that Penny and Sam

become each other's emergency contacts when Penny finds Sam on some random

street having a panic attack and from then on they start texting each other

and becoming really close friends and it follows that story basically. I

absolutely enjoyed this book when I first got into it it was first Penny's

chapter I didn't necessarily enjoy it because Penny sounded like a brat and I

was like why are you so mean to your mom and but then and also like Sam's first chapter I

was like oh okay but the thing is my kink apart from fresh linen is sad white

boys and I'm ashamed to say that I don't know there's something that's so

attractive not attractive but like Sam has like these tattoos and he's going

through the things maybe it's some deep psychological factor I don't know. anyway

and so that relationship develops. what I really enjoyed about this book as well

is exploring mental illness as well like anxiety and depression and all those

kind of issues as well exploring parental relationships and how messy

that they can be because both of the characters have very complicated

relationships with their moms and I really enjoyed the fact that Mary H.K. Choi

explored those relationship like those relationships what I also enjoyed about

the book was that it didn't abandon any characters all characters were fully

formed and we got to know all of the characters

in spite of everything and I really enjoyed that aspect to it and my one

qualms about the book is they used one of the characters I think Penny used

molested in a very weird way and I was really upset with her so that was one of

the qualms which brought it down by one star so I would give this book four

stars out of five and I would definitely recommend it it's one of my best reads

from this year and what I also had a qualm with is that there wasn't just

like a page or a chapter where we get to explore Sam's tattoos or something like

we know that he has a lot of tattoos I don't know maybe tattoos are also my kink

but yeah so as I said I give this book four stars out of five and definitely

one of my best reads and other than that I will see you when I see you it's not

guaranteed and if you're a new subscriber not new subscriber but if you're new to this
