Youtube daily report Nov 6 2018

K: Hey everyone, Katie and Jeremy here to get you up to speed

on everything happening around and inside Verizon.

J: Day one of the Verizon Leadership Forum is in the books here at The Ridge.

Some of the biggest highlights include the announcement of a new org structure

which Hans and his team talked about during the all V Team Webcast.

I try to tell everyone that we're going from a great to a fantastic company.

It's not going to be easy.

It's a work that we need to do together.

I call it Verizon 2.0.

And more important, we're building tomorrow with the best of today.

How do we rally around the customer & simplify the business in a way that we haven't thought of.

And then the investments we're making right now to being to think about what we're

doing with One Fiber, we begin to think about the 5G investment. The investment

in the intelligent Edge network, so much investment is going in to how we show

up on behalf of customers both consumer & in business, which is why I think the

moment is right for us to really drive this business.

We're going to bring together all of the things that serve our customers in the consumer area.

Bring them together so that we can face out to the customer as one.

Not based on channel. Not based on technology.

But based on deep customer insight and the opportunities

we see to transform outcomes on behalf of our customers.

Our focus is to build a member centric ecosystem for billions.

How do we be member centric, transform our business model, keep doing better

with the assets that we have today. But actually beyond that integrate across the

Verizon ecosystem to touch all the consumers.

We have great technical talent in Oath, we have great technical talent inside of

former wireless/wireline businesses, we have great people here.

Now we need to get everybody together to start collaborating & come up with new ways

so we can build tomorrow with the best of today.

K: Big news & exciting stuff there. I also got a chance to catch up with Hans to see

what message from the leadership forum he wants everyone to take away.

The message overall to all employees of course that we have business to attend to

daily & that we need to continue to do, but it's more important of course to understand

all these groups, we have the consumer group, the business group, the media group

& of course understanding how you fold in to that but more important how you fold in to

the overall sort of ambitions that we have as a company. We actually have high ambitions

in everything we're doing so I think that's really where you need to come in as an employee.

And what can to team look forward to in the weeks & months ahead?

I think that what you're going to see in the couple of weeks, we're going to continue

to communicate a lot around these changes we're doing right now but we're also going

to communicate a lot about executing the objectives we have around right now

for the rest of the year. But in general also getting more clarity. Today we're

announcing of course the new leadership team for the whole group but also for different

groups & in weeks to come of course we want to continue that communication of

the next level of leaders as that's going to be known.

Alright, well, thank you for the time Hans, we appreciate it. Thank you.

J: And remember, we will continue live-tweeting today from day two of the leadership forum

so be sure to follow us on Twitter at vzuptospeed. If you missed yesterday's

updates, well you can take a look back at those tweets as well.

That will do it for us today. Until next time, you are up to speed.

Love To The End | 끝까지 사랑 EP.63 [SUB: ENG, CHN/2018.11.05] - Duration: 33:25.

Whatever happens to Jeonghan,

make sure he can't see his son.

That's what you want?

Why are you laughing?

I didn't know you and I would be on the same page.

That's why...

I won't permit even a single photo.

I'm glad I made a deal with you.

No.

I will never use my son to make a deal.

Your husband is someone from my past.

I'd like him to disappear as soon as possible.

I want everything to end and peace to come quickly.

That's all I want.

Duyeong's clear win.

He'll get custody and a restraining order.

How do you know?

Sena just took it?

I stirred things up a bit.

I told the judge everything.

Why you...

Did you forget your promise? How could you?

What promise? You gave an order.

I made myself clear.

My plan is to take what's most precious to Sena.

And I succeeded.

Jeonghan.

You put her up to it, didn't you?

You seem angry.

I'll leave you.

We'll talk later.

I heard about the hearing.

So? Are you happy now?

Are you jumping for joy,

now that you took my child from me?

You! You!

Hey, you! Jeonghan!

Let her be.

They seem to have a lot of bad blood between them.

I know she's my boss but she's impossible to handle.

We should be understanding,

since we're more kind-hearted.

It's true. They really are friends.

They're exactly the same.

You jerk.

You coward.

Act your age already.

How could you use that at the custody hearing?

How could you do that?

"How could you do that?"

That's what I said to you countless times.

How could you do that...

To other people's families?

If you wanted revenge,

you should've done it to the aggressors.

But you hurt people who had nothing to do with it,

and ruined the lives of innocent people.

How...

Could you do that?

I told you.

None of it would've happened if you hadn't shown up.

Fine. I'm not part of the Kang family.

I don't even know who my parents are.

My one and only blood in this world.

That's Songi.

How could you take her from me?

First, I didn't take her from you.

You destroyed your own right.

You're going to jail anyway.

Isn't it better for your daughter

to live with her dad and that nice family?

If you really are a mom...

You should know how to be thankful for that.

No!

You're no different.

You used that there?

I would've...

Used it at the board meeting. No.

I would've disclosed it on TV.

Worry about yourself.

You think you can kick me out of YB, don't you?

Not a chance.

There's someone else who knows...

This secret.

Hyeongi. Right?

Where is he, though?

He couldn't even come home last night.

Isn't that strange?

If he were normal...

He would've come home and kicked me out

and told our father everything.

Where is he hiding?

Say what you want.

I'm saying you guys can't expose anything.

Go look for Hyeongi.

I'm sure he's either drowned somewhere

or jumping off some bridge.

What's with that look?

- Did you lose? / - Yes.

It's common sense for the mom to raise the child.

You can just get custody later. Why are you crying?

This isn't like you.

Duyeong isn't so cruel.

He must really be angry.

Ask him to cancel the divorce suit...

And to settle.

He...

Won't even look at me anymore.

You touch it like this.

Try it on.

- It feels nice on, doesn't it? / - Yes.

Our company CEO is very interested in hair loss,

which is why we developed this.

Would you like to read about it?

If only she weren't my sister...

But it turns out, she may not be.

Then it would be the very worst.

Come to the car.

You'll catch a cold.

How did you find me?

You brought me here not long ago, remember?

Emily shared the DNA test result...

At the hearing today.

She shared it already?

Jeonghan must want to know why I'm keeping quiet...

Even after seeing the test result.

Once again, I have no choice but to be a coward.

What did you mean by it would be the very worst?

My mom...

Had a hard time marrying my father,

who was an average employee.

Her family was dissatisfied with him.

But they were happy together.

Then one day...

She found out that he had an illegitimate child

in the U.S.

Father was kicked out to Geojedo,

and I grew up in my uncle's house.

Mom passed away from cancer.

But the day before she passed, she told me...

She told me...

Jeonghan.

I will not tell the board...

About Sena.

Emily already went public with it.

You cover it up.

If the world finds out...

I will make you pay.

You can't understand me, can you?

You must have your reasons.

It's chilly out. Let's go inside.

Okay.

I should go inside and look at...

My fake sister.

Are you happy now?

That's right. It's all out in the open.

In front of a judge, of all places.

I missed a good show.

I'm about to lose my daughter.

What will you do about it?

You pushed me into this mess, and what?

"Let's make father the chairman?"

"Have everything you want?"

Is it fun toying with me?

But...

How are you in here?

Aren't you packing your things and running away?

Why should I?

You are seriously shameless.

What's your real name, anyway?

I said I wanted to talk.

Hyeongi.

This is a first.

I've never undressed in front of a woman whose name

I don't even know.

We're not even siblings. Is this okay?

I may be ashamed in front of the entire world...

But not in front of you.

I don't know about anyone else

but you can't act high and mighty in front of me.

You're a murderer's son.

- How did you know? / - I told you.

I witnessed that hit-and-run.

My mom was there too.

Did you think about how she must have felt?

She fled to the U.S. because

she was afraid of the wife!

How could she send someone there?

Do you know how my mom lived while you were...

Living the good life because you were the wife's child?

True.

Your mom didn't have such a good life either.

Watch it.

I'm your older brother.

If you're not going to go public with it yourself,

live as you have been.

What do you mean? Then...

You won't tell father, right?

You won't disclose it at the board meeting, right?

But...

Did you really try to kill Emily?

I told you.

I witnessed a hit-and-run when I was 10.

That's where I picked it up.

So, you hired a murderer.

Who did you send?

Choi Deokbae?

So Jeonghan still has the most lethal card to play.

Watch yourself.

Did you find out anything yet about Choi Deokbae?

I don't think he's back in the country yet.

That relative of his doesn't know either, right?

What are you so anxious about this time?

I told you not to let him live.

It's obvious he kept evidence as insurance.

That can't happen. You can catch him, right?

I can't search for him in another country.

Once he comes in, it'll be a piece of cake.

I must see him before Jeonghan does,

no matter what.

You're so afraid of that Yun Jeonghan fellow.

Is Chairman Jeong doing okay?

My father's visiting him today.

He's not the type to just take it.

The weather suddenly got cold.

Are you comfortable in there?

How's the investigation going?

Drop the act.

Say what you came to say.

Please make a brave decision...

For the group's sake.

Step down from my position?

That's the consensus among the directors.

So? That's why you had your daughter

stab me in the back?

I don't know what you mean.

Regardless...

Ever since I became your brother-in-law...

I've been waiting for this day.

Sure. Go ahead.

I'll wait...

Right here.

Did we post the request for consumer testers?

Don't get me started.

Once they heard it works,

over 600 people signed up in a day.

But there are too many young people.

Could it be that they're stressed?

Let's check carefully and select wisely.

That's right. Something like this must be honest

and transparent.

Mr. Han, is something wrong?

What's wrong? You're all spaced out.

No. Sorry.

(Sena)

The number you have dialed is unavailable...

You're not this cold.

What do I do?

Manager Yun wanted to see me today.

Why isn't he calling?

He'll call.

Please stop saying useless things when you see him.

Imagine how he feels, being unable to see his son.

I'm just trying to make things better.

Okay. He's calling now.

Do you keep in touch with the others?

They're all the same.

I don't see them often

but I know how they're all doing.

Why?

How many can you gather?

To do what?

To play a game?

Something like that.

What is it?

I'll tell you when everyone's together.

Fine. I'll do as you ask.

Anything else?

We need to catch Choi Deokbae.

You're still hunting him?

He'll return soon.

Okay. If you tell me where he is,

I'll make sure not to lose him this time.

I'll be in touch.

I thought you called about Jaedong's but I guess not.

Why do you keep going there?

I was kicked out, anyway.

Your ex-mother-in-law has become so scary.

Then if that witch ever shows up again,

we can call the police?

How did he win so easily?

Her family is so influential.

That's true.

Let's just work.

- Hello. / - Hello.

Hello. Come this...

Hello.

Gayeong!

So, don't stay here.

Go inside somewhere.

- Can you watch the kids? / - What?

Okay.

Guys.

Let's go, I'll buy you carp bread.

- Okay. / - Let's go.

- Okay. / - Let's go. Come here.

- Hello. / - Hi.

The restaurant is busy.

Are we the only ones who aged?

You haven't changed at all.

Don't say that.

What did you do to her

when she went over just before she was due?

I know it may sound like an excuse but...

I hadn't seen my son either, at that time.

I had no idea whether or not he was even alive.

All I could remember were the wounds on his face

on the day he left.

I was overwrought with guilt for my husband's death...

And the anger at how Sena tricked me.

Dozens of times a day...

I thought of ending my life.

Every day was pure torment.

All of that is useless.

I'm not asking you to forgive me.

I have no right to ask that of you.

But my poor Jeonghan...

Didn't even know he had a son.

I wouldn't let him find out.

He really didn't know.

Had he known...

What use is all of that now?

Your son got married.

That's a contract marriage.

You didn't know either, did you?

That's what I came to tell you.

Of all the...

Marriage isn't like the sale of property.

How could you enter into a contract for marriage?

She went and saw for herself!

They're living together!

It must all be to fool Sena.

Jeonghan told me

that it'll all be over in 2 months.

He can come back to you after 2 months.

No, mother.

He said...

He divorced me to make sure he had nowhere to return.

And that he gave up on our child.

He said that to me himself.

He's just saying that out of guilt.

My child doesn't need a father like that.

Fine.

Let's talk about that later.

His name is Yunsu, right?

May I see him for a moment?

I'm sorry.

But don't get your hopes up.

Yes, Ms. Seo.

Yes. We're at the playground.

Yes.

Okay. We'll come in now.

Goodness.

Guys, wait a minute, okay?

Who is she?

- I don't know her. / - What?

Where?

Come on. Let's go home.

Hi, Mr. Han.

Grandpa!

My gosh. Hi.

- Grandpa. / - Let's go home.

Grandpa, have a good night.

You're saying bye as soon as you see me?

- Mommy, I need to pee. / - Let's go.

Let's go.

Let's go.

- Did you like the carp bread? / - Yes.

I saw a pretty grandma on our way back.

She waved and smiled at me like this.

I see.

What a nice grandma.

Everyone likes me.

Of course.

It's because looking at you makes them happy.

That's why they all like you.

Daddy will like me too, right?

Naturally.

When is he coming back?

- In 2 months? / - Really?

1 month, 2 months?

You mean it?

Daddy's really coming, right?

I'm so excited!

- Grandma! / - Yes?

- Uncle! / - Yes?

- Auntie! / - What?

- New Uncle! / - Yes?

My daddy's coming 2 months from now.

Gayeong, open up. Gayeong!

Gayeong! Open up.

Gayeong, open up.

Gayeong!

I begged profusely

but she wouldn't bat an eye.

I never expected Gayeong would do that.

I'm telling you, she's as fierce as a tiger.

Don't touch her, got it?

Are you going to tell Jeonghan that I went there?

I won't.

He looks just like Jeonghan when he was little.

I told you that.

Gayeong raised him well.

He had such a bright smile,

like he never experienced any hardships.

Our poor mom.

What's his deal?

I even paid for this hotel room

but he doesn't even text to thank me?

Did he completely black out?

Does he not remember seeing me?

I wonder what happened.

Did you see Hyeongi?

He's still screening your calls?

I'm sure he'll come tomorrow.

What's going on?

Sena wouldn't be sitting still.

She knows it'll come out during the board meeting.

You knew that but you used it at the hearing?

I guess you're still angry.

I don't regret it though.

You should've seen the look on Sena's face.

Gayeong was very grateful too.

She thanked me, so I asked her for a favor as well.

I asked her to let you see your son now and then.

Why did you say that?

She turned me down cold. I felt bad for even asking.

She has a scary side.

Who are you to intrude in our business?

- What? / - Leave Gayeong and the kid alone.

I'm not doing anything either.

Is it "doing nothing" if you don't talk about it?

Although you make it obvious with your whole body?

Do you think I'm stupid?

Your body's here but your mind is elsewhere.

If you act like you did yesterday ever again,

I'll ship you back to the U.S.

Have you had dinner?

The preparations for tomorrow's board meeting

are going well without a hitch.

Don't act like you're fine.

You must be distracted because of Songi.

Songi's doing well with their family.

She has her cousin

and the people at the restaurant are nice too.

She'd have no one here anyway.

Just wait.

I'll bring her.

What did uncle say?

Well, he told me to take over.

I see.

Mr. Nam will make the motion.

He'll move to dismiss the chairman

and everyone will agree.

They will veto your dismissal.

You'll take our side, right?

Of course. We're family, after all.

YB City's financial problems

are only temporary.

We will recuperate shortly.

Also, this is from the prior period.

- What's going on? / - What is that?

What is that?

What's going on?

(Does not match)

(Does not match)

What is this?

Sena, what is this?

You saw what it said. She isn't your daughter.

What?

- You wicked... / - Father.

It's not true! I'm being framed.

I am your daughter!

She is a fake.

She tried to kill me to hide that.

That's not true!

Sena!

How are you here?

You're done for.

Get rid of her now!

Make sure she never steps foot in YB again.

What are you waiting for?

- Get her out of here! / - No!

No!

No! It's not true!

Let go of me!

No!

Let go!

No. No!

What's wrong, mom?

Yunsu.

Gayeong.

What's wrong?

What's wrong?

Tell me what's wrong.

Something happened, didn't it?

Did someone say something again?

Emily...

Told me not to let Jeonghan...

See Yunsu.

What?

I said I was on the same page as she was.

And that I'd never let him see him.

But...

Yunsu wants to see him.

He's asking for his dad.

But mom...

I miss him so much too.

I keep denying it...

But I can't hold it in.

You poor thing.

I was going to look for you.

To tell me to disclose

the DNA test result at the board meeting?

I can't do that.

Then I'll have to go to Chairman Jeong myself.

Please.

Please bury this for me.

The real Sena... My half-sister...

I heard it was a hit-and-run.

It was a hitman...

Sent by my mom.

- What do you mean... / - My mom...

Killed that child.

Dealing with uncertainty? | Pastor Steven Furtick - Duration: 8:09.

now raise your hand if you're in an uncertain place today uncertain what's

next in your life uncertain how you're gonna put some pieces back together

uncertain how some things are gonna come together for you uncertain whether or

not you can be what you need to be uncertain whether it's ever gonna change

for you don't you ever get to the point I'm almost 40 now where you pretty much

give up on you changing yeah it's like in your teens and 20s you continue to

imagine this future version of yourself and future me is gonna be amazing

if I ever get to meet future me I'm gonna get his autograph because I can

picture him and yet every year that goes by every little birthday that I have I

kind of feel it's less and less likely that I'm ever gonna meet him and if it's not

yourself that you're uncertain about it might be other people and whether

they'll ever be able to move past the way that they feel about you and I know

some of you have relationships that are very uncertain right now just wave at me

if I'm talking to you at all because I prayed about what to share and God said

I want you to speak to the ladies about the uncertain place now it's called a

certain place because Jacob has never been here before so he doesn't know what

to call it and the town is actually called Luz it's a it's a little place

it's not really a big place and he has to stop there have you ever had to stop

somewhere where you didn't want to be come on have you ever have you ever had

a layover that that you didn't plan for have you ever have you ever had the sun

set on your situation and you had to lay down let's let's think about this Jacob

has to lay down in the middle of nowhere sometimes in our lives God will give us

the ability to rename places and things that we've been through God gives you

the ability to call things that be not as though they are so that's how you can

go through something in your life that to people

it looks like an ending but you can call it a new beginning that's what faith

gives you the power to do faith doesn't always give you the ability to change or

determine what you go through it always gives you the ability to determine what

you call what you go through some of us need to rename some places in our lives

because I got news for you some of the people that broke your heart were

actually doing you a favor because if they would have stayed in your life they

would have limited you sometimes when people leave your life it's because God

is making room for an upgrade sometimes I turn on my iPhone and it gives me a

message it says an update is available I hear the Spirit of God saying to

somebody today I know you've lost some things lost some time lost some people

walked away from you and maybe some of it was your fault

but the Spirit of God says today an update is available or you can lay down

here and die and wish you were back where you have been or wonder about

where you're going to be but the revelation is is it's so good he says

the Lord is in this place can I just get you to say that the Lord is in this

place the Lord is in this place now some places it's really easy to say that I've

had moments in the presence of God just beautiful moments where everything felt

great I've had um I've had moments in my life where I've seen God do things that

I would have never even dreamed about as a boy and then I watched my dad die of

ALS and I watched him gasp for his breath and I wonder can I say the Lord is in

this place when my dad is gasping for his last breath like I can when I'm on

vacation I wonder can I say the Lord is in this place when I'm still only

halfway there like I'll be able to when I get to my destination now the enemy is

really really tricky he always wants to get you to imagine a place called there

and and there is where Jacob was going there is where Jacob had set out for

there is Huron is it's the place that you're going toward in this place in

your life it's the place where your finances are finally able to support a

reasonable lifestyle there is a place where you're no longer controlled and

mastered by the addiction where you don't feel the chains of these habits

that have been on your wrists and your ankles for decades and decades there is

the place where the memory of the trauma of what you went through at the hands of

people who should have known better at the hands of people who should have

protected you and not only did they not protect you but they inflicted pain upon

you there is the place where you are no longer haunted by the memory of what

they did and when I get there I'm gonna praise God because He brought me out

with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and nobody could do it but Him it's

the Red Sea He brought me through its the pit He brought me out of its the

lion's den He snatched me out of its the fire He rescued me from there somebody's

out there if this is not a message about praising God there I came to tell you

praise Him here

here here we don't like here in our modern culture very much that's why I

have so many tools to escape here that's what Instagram is that's what

Facebook is it's a way for me to leave here even if I can't leave physically I

can leave mentally I was on vacation this week last week with my family on Instagram looking at people who were at

work why would you leave work to go on vacation to go back to work in your mind

on your iPhone because I don't want to be here I want to be there I don't want to

be here look how broken I am here look how bad it hurts here I don't want to be

here some of you you don't have to wave at me some of you don't even want to be

here like right here right now I know you're grateful and you're smiling and

you're trying your best to look like you're happy you're not happy this is

the last place you want to be you think Jacob wanted to be lying on a rock in a

place called Luz nobody goes to Luz on vacation Luz isn't on anybody's

bucket list Jacob didn't set up for Luz he set out for Huron and the sun set and

sometimes the sun goes down and the lights go off and you not have no choice

but to stop where you are and that's where God shows up hey thanks for

watching make sure to click the subscribe button on your screen so we

can notify you whenever we release new content go ahead and subscribe now I'll

see you next time

Lucas Hedges Loved Working with Joel Edgerton on Boy Erased - Duration: 6:10.

-Congratulations on the film.

Congratulations as well on your Broadway debut

with the legend Elaine May. -Whoo!

-Yes. Yes.

-She is a hero of mine.

What is it like, getting to work with her every night?

Yeah, well, it's really interesting

because anybody who's familiar with her show with Mike,

they did "An Evening with Nichols and May"

in the same theater -Oh, wow!

-that we're in, in the '60s.

So it feels kind of like

it's beautiful, getting to share

the same space with her that she shared with Mike.

-And what's it like sharing scenes with her?

How is she as a scene partner?

-Insane. -Yeah.

[ Laughter ] -Completely insane.

I have no idea what she's gonna do every night.

-[laughs] And plays are written, so that's like scary.

[ Laughter ] -Well, she -- It's not that --

It's not that she goes that far off the book,

but she's like I don't even know.

It's like I just sort of like watch her

and I'm like, "What is going on?"

[ Laughter ] And I sort of just get

to observe and my character is more reserved, so,

it feels I just get to sort of watch this like

fireworks display every night.

-That's fantastic. It was also written by Kenneth Lonergan,

who wrote "Manchester by the Sea."

Was it nice to read his words again?

Or say his words, I should say. -Yeah. I don't think

I really would be here, if it wasn't for Kenny.

I wouldn't really have a career at all, if it wasn't for Kenny,

so, it's special to get to work with somebody who

you can completely trust the material of.

It's like I don't have to worry, going to work, that something --

Something will support me in it.

-He's a fantastic writer.

"Manchester by the Sea" was a fantastic film

and we always give credit on this show:

You had a really good New England accent.

-Your Boston video is unbelievable.

-Thank you very much. -It's like an eight-minute like

tour de force. [ Laughter ]

-Some would say it's indulgent, at eight minutes, but, yeah.

[ Laughter ] -No, it's unreal.

Me and my mom watch that all the time.

It is so good.

You didn't say Manchester in it.

You say "Dawchestah". You say "Bawston."

-And I went to high school in Manchestah.

-Really? -New Hampshire.

-Oh. -Yeah. Ours was --

[ Laughter ] "Manchester by the Sea"

sounds very fancy to us. -It's the off-brand version.

-Yeah. We were like Manchester by the Highway.

[ Laughter ] -Yeah. Exactly.

-I know you are a "Harry Potter" fan grow up.

Did you see that on the stage?

-I didn't. I haven't seen it yet.

It's like impossible to get tickets, so,

if anybody has tickets here... -The fact that, if you can't

[ Laughter ] get tickets,

that really speaks to it. -I know.

But I, yeah, I have --

I have been a "Harry Potter" fan my whole life.

My mom took me to London when I was a kid to like --

And I made her take me on a tour

of like the sort of like really like, I don't know,

makeshift like "Harry Potter" tour.

This guy drove us around in his car.

[ Laughter ] And like, he was like,

"All right, now, I'm gonna show you clips."

And I was like, "Oh, is there a monitor?"

And he was like, "No, it's [liltingly] on the iPhone."

[ Laughter ]

It was really -- And we got pulled over by a cop, too.

It was like so -- It was a disaster.

-That does not seem like a lot of wonder.

-Also, like all the clips were like

of when a car drives over a bridge.

-Oh, wow. -It was like, there were no --

It doesn't matter. [ Laughter ]

-Yeah, that seems real off-brand, yeah.

[ Laughter ]

So this film is based on a book.

Gare-ard, is it? -"Gare-id".

-Garrad. -Garrad. I have

the same problem. -Gotcha.

Thank you for sorting me out. But he wrote a book.

He went to gay conversion therapy in the South.

This is inspired by his story.

You met him before filming?

-Yeah. We got to --

I read the book and I really fell in love with it

and I wanted to meet him and see if --

I knew I wanted to tell the story, but I wasn't --

I didn't want him to feel as if somebody was being sprung

onto him and that he was a -- Like I wanted --

If he didn't feel a connection to me, I didn't wanna do it.

So we got together.

We walked around, actually, my childhood neighborhood

'cause he lives in Brooklyn, too.

And, yeah, just really hit it off.

-And then the film is directed by Joel Edgerton,

who is one of the most charming

-Right? -People. Yeah, he's

incredibly good-natured, -Yeah.

-a thrill to talk to every time he's here.

He plays a far darker character in this film,

so what's he like as a director, when he's playing, you know,

someone who runs a gay conversion therapy?

-Yeah, so Joel, like you said, he's so kind

that a lot of people on set, they would slack off, in a way,

or they would be talking while we were working,

to the point where he then started directing in character?

[ Laughter ] His character's very strict,

so he would order the crew around in an accent

and all of a sudden, everyone was like, "Shut up."

[ Laughter ] Like, it was like,

"We can't -- We can't mess with this guy."

So, I don't know. That was one end.

But, no, you're right. He's an open heart.

Like he really leads with his heart.

-You have another director you worked with recently

that I imagine was a whole different bag of issues.

Your father is a film director. -Yes! [claps] Yes.

[ Laughter ] I was like, "Who are you

about to say?"

-Well, what's it like, working, as an actor, with your father?

-Well, my [laughing] dad is like,

my dad's a really, really kind, kind man.

And he -- whenever I'd step onto set he'd be like,

[tenderly] "Hey, bubba." [ Laughter ]

And I'd be like, "Nah, that's not gonna work."

[ Laughter ]

"That's not gonna work.

Can't call me bubba."

[ Laughter ]

So I made him call me Lucas.

-That's good. -And I started calling him Pete.

-Okay, that's nice. -His name's Peter, so.

-And I think it's classy that you didn't him call you

Mr. Hedges. -Yeah.

[ Laughter ] -That would've been

way too divaish.

-He's a great guy.

Julia Roberts plays your mother in that film.

-Yeah. -Elaine May,

obviously, you're working with her.

Nicole Kidman plays your mother in "Boy, Erased."

Not a bad year of --

-Yeah, I got some great moms. -Yeah, you really crushed it.

[ Laughter ] Congratulations. I feel like --

I know this year is almost over, but I feel you're

gonna win that contest. -I'm gonna try to get a few more

in before the year's -- -Yeah.

I got Joan Allen right now, who's --

-Yeah, Joan Allen, another legend.

So, well done. I can't wait to see the play.

The movie's fantastic. Thanks so much for being here.

I really appreciate it. -Thank you very much.

-Nice to see you.

-Good to see you. -Thank you for being here.

-I'm a bit jealous of Idris there, actually.

-Yeah, exactly.

Thank you for -- How long are you in New York for?

-I leave tonight, actually.

Yeah, I'm flying off to Budapest.

I start shooting a movie tomorrow.

So, yeah, short visit.

-Yeah. Originally, you're from Scotland, right?

-That's right, yeah. -Yeah.

And did you see the marathon at all here in New York?

-I admit -- Well, it was fantastic, wasn't it?

So congratulations to everyone that took part.

[ Cheers and applause ]

-You look like you could --

You look like you could do a marathon.

-I've run a few.

I ran two, actually, in a month this year in the same month.

It was my own challenge.

Yeah, two. -Wait, you -- Oh, no.

-But -- What? What are you going to ask?

-I'm exhausted. I want to take a nap.

Just hearing that you ran two in a month.

-To be honest, I was lying in bed watching them.

I'm like, "Yeah, those guys go. That looks hard."

-Yeah, yeah, yeah. -It was a great day.

But, yeah, I ran it for my own fitness lifestyle

charity fundraiser called My Peak Challenge.

-What is My Peak Challenge?

-It's a fundraiser that supplies a platform

for people to -- like, workout plan, meal plan.

We raise money for charity.

And actually, we've raised almost $2 million now

for our chosen charity.

So, thank you.

-Hey, fantastic. -Thank you.

-I saw also that you're doing something with Omaze, too.

-We are, yes.

So we launched a couple of nights ago with Omaze.

This -- You can basically win a date to Scotland with me.

I'm not sure if people want to do that.

You want to do it? -Yeah, I do.

Let's go, man. Why not?

I'm gonna try. I'd love to.

-Come to Scotland. We'll drink some whiskey.

-Yes! -Yeah.

-Let's go for it. -But, yeah, you can win --

The My Peak Challenge gala.

And there's going to be Scottish dancing and a big dinner.

Yeah, it should be fun. So I'll see you there, man.

-Yeah, that's perfect, buddy.

Congrats on "Outlander." This show is a juggernaut.

Oh, my gosh.

This is -- What is it, Season 4 now?

-We just -- Last night was the premiere, and Season 4, yeah.

And we're now in America, which is --

It's kind of interesting. We've gone from Scotland.

We've traveled, you know, through time.

And we've gone to Versailles and Paris and the Caribbean

and now in early America.

-How do you explain the show to anyone who hasn't seen it?

-It's a long story.

But it's based on Diana Gabaldon's books.

They're like a best-selling series

about a nurse from the 1940s

that travels back in time into Scotland

and meets a very ginger highlander.

-Yes, yes, a very ginger highlander.

Yeah, and people are freaking out about it.

And you just got picked up, in fact, for two more seasons.

-We did, yeah. -Congratulations.

-Yeah. Thank you. Thank you.

Yeah, we're super excited.

-So this season, Season 4,

if you didn't catch the show of the premiere last night,

you can catch up.

What is Season 4? This is all --

You're in America now. -That's right.

Yeah, we arrived in Georgia and then on to North Carolina.

Really, the characters are trying to --

Oh, we've got a few in the audience.

Yeah, it's amazing.

We're sort of settling in America.

It's a fascinating story, you know,

showing America in its infancy,

that it's a land of immigration

and immigrants and different cultures colliding.

So it's kind of cool to show, as a European,

you know, you guys where America is from.

-Yeah, fantastic. I want to show a clip.

Here's Sam Heughan in "Outlander."

Take a look at this.

-I was an outlaw when first we met.

And an outlaw when you returned.

If it was only me, I would live as one again.

When I was old, I would lie under a tree

and let the wolves gnaw at my bones.

But it's not just me.

It's you...

and Ian.

Fergus, Marsali.

You understand?

I would lay the world at your feet, Claire.

-Yeah. Sam Heughan, everybody!

영어 발음을 교정한 결과 (via Cambly) - Duration: 11:51.

In this video, I'm going to help you improve your English pronunciation and accent.

I did one on one coaching with some of my students on Cambly.

For those of you who don't know, Cambly is an app that lets you talk to native speakers anytime anywhere.

Let me share my tips on pronunciation and accent.

You might be wondering, "What's wrong with the Korean accent?"

There's nothing wrong with the Korean accent as long as the other person understands you.

Some learners want to be able to speak and sound like a native speaker.

If that sounds like you then keep on watching.

Just place the tip of your tongue at the back of your front teeth.

We work on this a little more. Let's try a different word.

Let's hear before and after.

The second was much better.

It was more of an open sound, and it sounded relaxed.

This student was able to pronounce the 'L' sound much better.

Were you able to hear the difference?

The second clip was much better.

She sounded a lot more relaxed.

If you're still having a difficulty with the L sound, here's my suggestion.

Stick your tongue out a little.

If you look at the sides of my lips, they drop slightly.

But overall, I'm still relaxed.

My tongue is a bit curled.

Same thing. Not to be confused with 'walked.'

It's not 'walked', it's 'worked.'

You don't have to stretch your lips so much.

It sounds very forced. Just relax.

It's subtle, but the difference is there.

Let's talk about intonation.

One aspect of intonation that you could improve on is to connect the sounds together.

T sounds like D.

You can connect L and A

It sounds like there's a W between the two Os.

The second part of the intonation.

Is your voice going up or down?

You can express your emotion by varying the tone of your voice.

If you are very happy and excited how would you say this?

Clearly, the second one sounds much happier.

'Eat' has a long vowel. Simply breathe out longer.

You don't have to stretch your lips.

You just need to breathe out, exhale a lot longer.

Some Korean students have this intonation.

'Have' is too high and 'seat' is too short.

Instead the tone should be flat. It should be the same.

'Seat' should be longer.

Here's the last sentence for today I want you to try saying out loud.

Which words have the highest pitch?

'Never' and 'ice' tend to be high in pitch.

Which ones are long?

In the first clip this student said,

For some reason, 'eat' was very high in pitch.

If you say it fast, 'eat' should not be the highest pitch.

I'm connecting 'you' and 'eat.'

It sounds a bit off when you say,

When you say, 'ice', that's when the tone goes up,.

Pronunciation is about producing the right sound, such as L, W, and R.

You can improve your pronunciation by changing your tongue placement

and shape of your lips.

Accent and intonation, on the other hand, are about emphasis.

You can emphasize certain sounds by changing the volume -

how loud or quiet.

Or by changing the length of a vowel.

Make it longer or shorter.

Or you can change the pitch.

A high pitch like this, or low pitch like this.

When you're speaking you can convey different emotions depending on which words you emphasize.

Where you put the accent.

Those are some of my tips on improving your pronunciation, accent and intonation.

If you'd like to practice speaking English with a native speaker,

make sure to check out the app, Cambly.

As long as the phone has the internet connection, you can use the app virtually anywhere.

You can go out for a walk at a park and talk to a native speaker over the app.

You could even talk to a native speaker while you're in the bathroom!

If you have questions or concerns about pronunciation, accent and intonation

send me an email or leave them in the comment section below.

Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel Splash English and I'll see you next time.

There's one thing I forgot to say.

Thank you to all the students who have given me the permission to use their lesson videos.

It takes some courage to go up in front of people to demonstrate your pronunciation

let alone a Youtube channel.

Thank you to all the students and thank you Cambly for making this happen.

One more thing. This is a learning environment.

I welcome any constructive criticism, suggestions or advice.

However, if you attack or make fun of any of my students personally,

your comments will be deleted.

Let's keep a respectful, fun, learning environment.

Thanks for checking out this video, and I'll see you next time.

THERE WAS AN OLD LADY WHO SWALLOWED SOME BOOKS!

By Lucille Colandro.

Illustrated by Jared Lee.

There was an old lady who swallowed some books.

I don't know why she swallowed those books, but she didn't get any looks.

There was an old lady who swallowed a pen.

She was happy again when she swallowed that pen.

She swallowed the pen to write in the books.

I don't know why she swallowed the books, but she didn't get any looks.

There was an old lady who swallowed a pencil case.

Without leaving a trace, she swallowed that pencil case.

She swallowed the pencil case to hold the pen.

She swallowed the pen to write in the books.

I don't know why she swallowed the books, but she didn't get any looks.

There was an old lady who swallowed a ruler.

She couldn't look cooler swallowing that ruler.

She swallowed the ruler to measure the pencil case.

She swallowed the pencil case to hold the pen.

She swallowed the pen to write in the books.

There was an old lady who swallowed a folder.

She didn't feel any older when she swallowed the folder.

She swallowed the folder to protect the ruler.

She swallowed the ruler to measure the pencil case.

She swallowed the pencil case to hold the pen.

She swallowed the pen to write in the books.

I don't know why she swallowed the books, but she didn't get any looks.

She didn't brag when she swallowed that bag.

The old lady didn't fuss when around the corner came a big yellow school bus.

She started a cheer that she could not hold back and out popped her brand new backpack.

[EngSub] Roof Rack made in Turkey | #06 Towards Asia - Duration: 13:18.

In this episode we drive from Chimera to Alanya, where we will built our Roof Rack.

There were huge hotel buildings,

no way to find a nice and empty area for camping somewhere between the hotels.

Everything was being paved over.

In Alanya we were able park the car in a big garage.

That was good, because it gave us the opportunity to clean the car properly.

Also, we started thinking about, what we were still missing on and at the car.

Something, we needed to have was another solar panel.

At that time two friends where about to visit us, so they brought the solar panel from Germany.

The problem was, that we were about to get a new solar panel, but we didn't have anywhere to install it.

No Roof Rack - Nothing.

So we had to get one in Turkey, we were not sure if we wanted a full Roof Rack or just a small rack for the solar panel.

So we had to decide, whether we wanted a small rack for the solar panel, or a big roof rack with more space.

There is a place in Alanya, full of out mechanics and spare part shops, that's where we found the guy who custom made our roof racks.

We had to get it custom made anyway, because there were no racks already finished that would fit on a T3/T25.

In the end, we decided to build a big roof rack.

A roof rack, that would cover the entire roof of our van.

We wanted the big one, because we were planing a bigger trip and we didn't know what could all happen.

So we decided to bulild a roof rack.

Steffen build the roof rack together with the

- roof rack builder -

- trained metalworker -

I think you had fun during the work, didn't you?

Yes, very funny workspace morale.

How do you like it so far?

Pretty cool, are you happy as well?

Yes, but we still have to change a few things. We will do that now.

You guys have been drinking a lot of tea? - yes, several liters of tea went on with that rack -

Luke, you are cuddly today!

Every time I went there to see how far they got, they were sitting somewhere, drinking tea and told me:

"We cannot work right now, because the rubbish collector is here at the moment so we cannot enter the workshop", and then this and that.

There was always a reason not to work.

That was quite funny.

In the end it took one week to finish the roof rack

We left quite some space in the middle of the roof rack, because

of our sun roof.

Unfortunately the first try didn't fit perfectly, so they had to do it again.

The problem was, that we were afraid the the triangle holders, that connect the roof rack to the car,

would be to flexible.

That why we attached some extra brackets.

We show you the brackets in detail later when the roof rack is being painted.

We were quite happy with the finished roof rack.

There were just a few small things, that we wanted to improve.

For example: They said lacquering wasn't necessary because nothing rusts in Turkey.

But that we would go to places, where there is rain and where things rusts, we had to explain first.

I put these on the roof rack.

So the rack doesn't damage our roof rails.

It's a bit too tight.

With the chrome trims we wanted to protect our roof rails.

But we ended up finding a better solution, we will show you soon.

This is a chrome trims to protect our roof rails.

Everything else we did in our garage.

Because there were still some small things we needed to improve.

We worked on the roof rack, until we were completely happy with everything.

One question was, how to fix the rack on the car, with damaging the roof rails.

The Turkish guys just wanted to put it on the roof or *joke* even weld it on the car directly.

Through the movements of the roof rack and car it would have broken the varnish.

That's why we went to get an "inner truck wheel."

What is it called?

A Tube

A Truck Tube.

We cut the tube into pieces and put it between Roof Rack and the roof rails.

So like this?

No, this comes down, than the other holder comes over it.

This way metal doesn't touch metal, there is always some rubber in between.

The Turkish guys found us quite funny.

They said: "You German people have a different standard then we do."

Almost everyone can speak a little but German.

They were laughing, because we worked on the rack for so much longer although

they said that is was already finished.

We had one problem, our door was not closing probably anymore.

Because of the holder, but we fixed it.

With our Multi-Functional-Expert-T3-Tool!

We can take off the tape.

We still had the original seat covers inside the Syncro.

The seat covers had been in use for over 26 years, and they were used by several different owners.

It was a little bit yucky.

So we changed the seat covers while we built the roof rack.

It's also nicer with Luke to have a seat cover that we can simply wipe off.

And - looks quite nice, doesn't it?

Luke, you don't like the new seat cover?

Such an Idiot, we made a new seat cover for the dog and now he is not using it.

The next day our friends from Germany arrived together with the solar panel.

Did you see what he was using to make the threaded bush?

He made a bigger whole, then he put a threaded bush in it with a hex head.

Then they tighten it.

Thomas is the only one who uses this method in the work shop, because its so elaborate.

But it lasts forever.

All together we are very happy with the roof rack,

if we would build one again, we would make it out of aluminum and just a little bit different.

But for the first roof rack we are very happy with it, and we still are.

Also, we are very happy that we decided to get a whole roof rack.

We wanted to have as little weight on top of the car as possible,

to keep our car stable when going off road.

But the roof rack is totally worth the extra weight.

We put light things on top of the roof, like the solar panels, but also our

winter clothes and sleeping bags. We just got a few waterproof bags and put it on top.

By now we have two solar panels on top of the roof rack.

Its very handy because of our sun roof,

Usually, if we sleep with an open sun roof at night the sun can shine right inside the next morning.

Then it gets very hot in the car.

Now we have shadow and the air can still ventilate over the open sun roof.

This is a big advantage, especially in hot countries.

Preventing Boat Engine Failure | Sailing Britican - Duration: 4:36.

Preventing Boat Engine Failure

Welcome to Sailing Britican and today I'm going to take you through the engine

check that I do before we leave port.l I do these checks without fail before I

switch the engine on. Why do we do engine checks? We do this to prevent engine

failure. For our patreon supporters and Britican Club members they'll be

getting an extended version of this video. This will cover my thoughts on the

week-long diesel engine course that I took. Find out if I think you should take

a similar course or not. Additionally I'll go through the four reasons why we

had engine failure so our members know how to deal with this situation if it

happens to them. I have two main entrances to our engine room. I have two

doors in here and have a panel which is under the sink. If you want to follow me

I'll show you where the double doors are. Now you have to come in and get cozy.

Double doors opens out and there's our engine. I'm going to show you what I do

just my pre checks on my engine. What I do is W.O.B.B.E.L.S. Okay the first one

W-water. Come to my header tank here and check this water in there and there is

so happy with that. Next one oil. And wipe it off clean

Put it down. So what I'm looking for on my engine it likes to be halfway between

the two marks which it is and I'm really happy with that. Right next one W.O.B.B.E.L.S

Belts I've got two alternators on here and what I'm doing is I'm making sure

when I twist it that I don't go anymore or it doesn't go any more than a quarter

turn. And they're all perfect on them. So this one is my for my house batteries

and this one is from our engine batteries. So and the other one is

batteries which we we checked earlier but you can check on your batteries

sometimes they have a batteries in here. L is for leaks so I'm looking for is

looking around here. See if I can see any leaks. I can't see anything any leaks on

the engine. No - I'm quite happy with that. E is for electrics and what I'm looking for

is all the wires. Just checking the wires. See if anything looks out of

place because once you get to know your engine you'll be fine on that one

and the next one will be Start so we'll go upstairs and we're going to start the

engine. And I'll show you how a gain access to the other side. Follow me.

So when I open this side I'll get access to all of this. What I'm looking for is

no leaks from the fuel or electrics are okay and there's no water leak from the

impeller over here. And I check for any leaks.

So that's what I do. S is for start. So I press run if you're in a cold area

hold the heat for five seconds but it's nice and warm here. Quickly press in then

she starts. After I've started it what I do then is I go and check for a water

coming out of the exhaust but it doesn't come out the exhaust for me. It comes out of

a pipe right underneath the bottom of the boat underwater. So what I have to do

then is go to the side of the boat and check for bubbles. I can see the bubbles now

and that tells me that the engines working and the cooling systems working great.

Barcelona team news: Predicted Barcelona line up vs Inter – Lionel Messi injury update - Duration: 3:06.

Barcelona have been handed a huge injury boost ahead of their Champions League meeting with Inter Milan tonight

Lionel Messi has travelled with the squad to Italy despite fracturing his arm just two weeks ago and could feature against Luciano Spalletti's side, However, Messi has not yet been given the medical all-clear and Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde is unlikely to take too many risks with the Argentinian

Speaking on Monday, Valverde said: "Leo is at the point where he might be available, but we have to wait for the training session

" "We have to see if he's safe to play. In terms of his play and his movements, he's fine

"It's always better if he's there. Of course it's necessary to get Messi back as soon as possible

"There are three or four possibilities. One is that he plays from the start, or he comes on, or he goes off

What we won't do is take any risks." Barcelona have been in superb form without their talismanic, forward, winning all five matches Messi has missed including the 5-1 thumping of Real Madrid in El Clasico

Valverde's side are currently top of Champions League Group B with a perfect record of three wins from three matches and can secure qualification tonight

A point will be enough to book their spot in the next round while victory will secure first place and a more favourable draw ahead of the knockout stages

If Messi is not selected to start against Inter, Brazilian ace Rafinha is most likely to take his spot as part of a front three

The versatile midfielder has been preferred to Ousmane Dembele and Malcom alongside Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho in recent weeks

Elsewhere, Samuel Umtiti is nearing a return to full fitness but has not travelled so Clement Lenglet will continue at centre-back

Thomas Vermaelen and Sergi Samper are also injured but would not have featured against Inter had they been fit

Barcelona predicted line up vs Inter Milan (4-3-3 Ter Stegen; Roberto, Lenglet, Pique, Alba; Busquets, Rakitic, Arthur; Rafinha, Coutinho, Suarez

Wedding Planning? #1 Best Advice! - Duration: 5:52.

good morning slept in the tent last night got a bunch of rain what's nice is

we can have these windows open and even when it's raining it doesn't get wet

inside unless it's like super windy

and we're off like a herd of turtles

hey Lou I just figured out so if you take your hair like this

Nakul sitting outside of a coffee shop right now you and I are tailors inside

the coffee shop she's working I've been sitting out here working and

it's been great the reason why I'm not inside is because I found that I can't

focus as well when there's like people moving around and when there's music

playing if it's like my own music then sometimes I can do it but for the most

part if I'm like in a library somewhere where it's dead silent and there's not a

lot of like movement around then I work the best and I'm the most efficient so

that's what I'm sitting in the truck I just got done with a bunch of work we're

gonna go inside see how Taylor's doing for that week that Taylor went back to

Oregon and then I was here is about five different days that we were apart and

there are a bunch of different places that I went and people that I met during

that time and they all want to meet Taylor and so part of what we're gonna

do for this next month a whole month in November just kind of go back to the

places that I went because those people want to know Taylor and they want to

hang out this some more and we're super excited to go see them

Taylor's doing well in there she's gonna keep working for a little bit I hung out

with her for a little while and then I came back here and on the walk back here

I was just thinking about like us going back to places that I've already been

before Taylor and I got married there were a bunch of friends and family

members who gave us advice on like our wedding and on marriage and one of the

best pieces of advice that we got for our wedding was to stay together during

the reception they said that a lot of couples like and actually they were an

example that they split up during the reception you know they had different

friends and stuff and they didn't stay together and then when they look back on

the memories of that experience they have different memories of that

experience and so they said if you stay together like go around to you know say

hi to everybody each table or whatever that you'll both have the same memories

of the experience and so it'll be completely shared together and I felt

like that was a really good piece of advice why we're going we're

backtracking a little bit is because I really want Taylor to meet the people

who I met and to see the places that I saw so that we can both kind of share

you know the experience like it would it would be this chunk in this whole trip

that was just me and that Taylor wasn't a part of our friends are gonna let us

stay at their house with them and we're gonna be doing some work with them so

we'll have a place to stay we won't be out in the cold I'm just kind of get

through November and into the first week of December that's the other piece is

that my brother is planning on flying out here the first week in December so

I'll be able to meet up with him and then after that point we don't know so

that's all we have planned so far maybe through the first week in December but

we're just going day by day still and figuring

it out but it's kind of fun to have a little bit of a plan set in place that

we can go for a while we have a little bit more driving left to do today and

then we do have a place already planned out there we're gonna park the truck

tonight and pop up the tent and then tomorrow we'll probably start off early

again do some more driving so before it gets dark out let me say this if you

haven't done so already push the subscribe button all the way in and then

click the bells to get notified when we post new videos and there's a big thumb

war going on on YouTube so click that thumb war button down below I'll see you

in the next one hats off to you

Arabic Phrases For Beginners: "I just arrived, staying two years" - Duration: 3:34.

I want to welcome you to my channel, my name is Arabic Mike

this is where I teach Arabic in amongst other things

I've made 30 Arabic Phrases [lessons], similar to this

you can see them all in a playlist up here, but watch it later

the link is also down below

today we're going to learn the phrase, "I arrived two days ago and I'm staying here for two years"

now why might you want to learn that phrase?

'I arrived two days ago and I'm staying here for two years'

well say you've just moved to the Middle East, like I did many years ago

and you're talking to people and you want to introduce your situation

now the way we're going to say this, is quite simply like this

I say simply, this is probably one of the harder of my Arabic phrases

compared to stuff like, 'where's the toilet?'

'where's the bathroom?'

anyway, the way we say this is like this:

there's a bit of rhyming there

you hear the 'ayn' and the 'ayn'

that's because 'ayn', if you add 'ayn' to any word, it makes it into the dual

like two...

let's break this down then

that means I arrived here, two days ago

literally means, 'waSaltu' I arrived, 'huna' here, 'qabl' before, 'yawmayn' two days

so 'yawm' means day

'yawmayn' is two days, so I arrived here two days ago

'wa', you can say 'wa', which is 'and'

'wa abqa huna', I'm staying here

or you can say, 'wa askun huna'

I'm living here

'limudda' for the duration of

or for, basically, 'limudda'

'sana' means year

'sana waHida' one year

'sanatayn' two years

'thalaatha sanawaat', three years

'arb3a sanawaat', you get the idea

another plural for 'sana', is 'sineen'

but let's not go there

ENFPs, 5 Skills You MUST MASTER - Dreams Around The World - Duration: 9:57.

Hey Dan here and in this video you are going to learn five essential skills

every single ENFP should master. Now if you're new here my name is Dan and this

is Dreams Around The World where I help you become the best version of yourself

all while creating an awesome life for you and those you love. If you are an

ENFP, you have unlimited potential - I'm talking some serious ability to become a

badass but along the way you're gonna have to develop some skills to allow you

to do that and these five skills here are some of the most important and there

are also skills that well important to just about anyone to develop on some

level if you develop them as an ENFP you can become truly unstoppable now I'm

gonna go through all five here and what I'd like you to do is watch to the end

and then let me know in the comments which of these skills you'd like me to

make individual videos on getting into the details on how to actually develop

that skill set first up is storytelling have you ever been out with someone who

can just tell a captivating story the whole table is sitting around listening

to them for five 10 20 minutes as they recant some experience years ago and

some faraway exotic land or even just how they went to the grocery store the

day before and somehow everyone is paying attention to them the ability to

tell a great story is a essential skill as an ENFP because one we're pretty good

at it naturally so if you fine-tune it hone in that skill you can be incredible

at it the other thing is sometimes in our minds we're going a little too fast

for ourselves we're thinking out loud and so there are enfps i've met where

when they're attempting to tell a story it kind of more sounds like mmmmm and

everyone's like okay some ritalin for this guy let's sound let's get back

telling a great story is an amazing way to bring people into your world to build

rapport to build connection and its really good if you're out with someone

who's perhaps a little more shy or you're with a group that isn't the most

conversational if you're able to tell a good story you're able to open

and connect with those people and keep those people entertained rather than

turning to them and asking them a bunch of questions and they're like hey I'm

introverted I don't want to answer these questions right now I don't even know

you telling stories is awesome now one part of being a great storyteller is the

second skill that ENFP should really work on developing which is social

acuity the ability to read the people around you and just get a sense of a

room now I've told you in other videos that social acuity is one of the ENFP

superpowers and it is we can naturally read a room better than most people but

developing this even further is where the superpower aspect really comes in

right naturally we're pretty good but we're still not fine-tuned it's like

you've got a gun so well we are naturally pretty good at reading people

and reading the room by default we can definitely miss some details sometimes

maybe we talk a little too much or we overcrowd this situation so those that

are a little more shy or sitting back kind of observing we don't bring them

into the conversation in that and this ties back to storytelling because

telling a really good story if you're with a small group of people

part of that is observing the people and noticing kind of who's reacting and

bringing people into the story and all that as you go so just learning to pick

up on those little details just practicing that particularly around

people who perhaps are a little more shy or reserved and noticing where they're

at when you're communicating with them and not overwhelming them with our

awesome enf penis but maybe sitting back and being able to bring them into the

fold as well now number three is discipline and I know what you might be

saying enfps we can never be disciplined and that is a lot of hogwash I think

that's a word I don't know I'm not from the UK but it sounds like something they

would say in England you know what I've actually found that when an ENFP commits

to something we can be some of the most disciplined people when we turn

something we want to do into part of our code part of us and say I am NOT going

to do X Y or Z something a bit extreme we do it very well where other people

tend to falter and go back if we make an extreme decision I have found

that enfps follow through and make it happen so we can be extremely

disciplined when we develop that ability and when we use our discipline in a way

that really jives with our personality and so we're actually committing to be

disciplined in a way that's going to work for us rather than trying to follow

some ISTJ discipline system which is never going to work out very well next

up number four is self-awareness by default we are not people who reflect

too much on the past we look to the future we like to create we like to

connect we like to have a good time but sometimes this means that we forget

about ourselves and it also means that we have a tendency to repeat patterns

more than some other types might now this is something that as we develop as

we mature we can definitely overcome we get better at looking at our past

mistakes and not repeating them but it's something I would really encourage you

just to work on as well as your general self-awareness if you catch yourself

feeling really off one day pay attention to that maybe don't try to force

something that you would otherwise do because oh hey I am NOT in the spot now

or maybe you catch yourself repeating patterns where you step back and you say

wait a minute didn't I do the same thing in my last relationship and my

relationship before that and the seven before that and then maybe you want to

analyze yourself a little bit differently and make some changes so

developing yourself awareness as I said let me know in the comments about which

of these you'd like me to make more videos on maybe all of them for that

matter and I will develop separate videos on each of these skills but

overall just pay attention to self-awareness reflecting on your past

reflecting on your behavior and building a bit better of a radar to notice your

own patterns last but certainly not least is follow-through and

communications and yes this is tied in with discipline but it's quite a

different thing what I mean by this is when you're dealing with other people

and you commit - something following through or

communicating with them that you won't be following through or when you will be

following through is so so important I learned this the hard way like three

dozen times remember number four if self awareness I did not have that and I

repeated this pattern to so many times my old boss about I don't know a decade

ago now would hammer it in to me and I'm sure was the most frustrated man on the

planet at the time because something would come up I'd be dealing with our

company clients and I'd get behind on something and what I would do is I'd go

in my head and I think like okay I'm gonna get this done

tomorrow I'll just get up early and then I'll email them and they won't mind that

I said I would get it to them today and you know maybe come up with some kind of

excuse of course everyone can tell their excuses but when you're 24 you don't

realize that and you know that was my plan and the reality is when you don't

communicate with someone when you say you were going to it looks really really

bad and why I know this is a problem for more enfps than just myself is I email

with hundreds of you guys and of all the types that I work with enfps are by far

the most likely to say hey I want to work together let's do this or hey I'm

gonna send you this tomorrow and then I don't hear from them and then I don't

hear from them but what I've learned is to see normally I would just you know

stop communicating with that person but what I've learned is that ENFP is on the

other side and now they're like oh no I said I would communicate I said I would

be in contact but I haven't been in context and I was more awkward so now

what I do is I just ignore the fact that they didn't communicate when they said

they would and kind of keep in touch but my point is those enfps tend to come

back a week a month later and be like hey sorry I wasn't in touch blah blah

blah blah blah and all that sort of stuff what I do for this is if I am

going to be able to follow through and do what I said I would I do it and

that's where the discipline comes back in so number one is if you can just do

the thing you said you were gonna do that is the best but if you can't then

just send a quick note hey sorry not gonna have this to you today I'm a bit

behind I'll get it to you by Tuesday that sort of thing what I found some

enfps do is they over as a way to like put pressure on

themselves to get it done but then they don't do it and it becomes this habitual

pattern don't do that it destroys your credibility with people so

follow-through when you say you will or if not just communicate one sentence to

people hey sorry I said I was gonna do this I'm not sorry

boom all done so now let me know in the comment below which of these skills then

number one perhaps include a second if you really want that you would like me

to make a separate training video on diving into how to develop that if you

have not yet subscribe to the channel I publish new videos three times a week

all about creating an awesome life for yourself so do subscribe to the channel

and I will catch you in the next video soon

you

Digi International XBee3™ Cellular Embedded Modem | Featured Product Spotlight - Duration: 2:06.

With the arrival of narrowband cellular technologies such as LTE CAT 1, LTE-M and

NB-IoT, the cellular network is now an option for applications requiring

connectivity for which previously it wasn't feasible due to cost or power

constraints. These new cellular technologies negate the need and cost to

create a traditional network in cases where there are few or even just one

device that require connection to the Internet.

Digi XBee3 cellular NB-IOT embedded modems, available from Mouser Electronics,

are integrated modules designed to provide OEMs with a simple way to integrate

low-power narrowband cellular connectivity into their devices.

These low-cost, low-power wide area, embedded cellular modems are designed

specifically to handle small amounts of data over existing cellular networks,

and are optimized for maximum battery life, which can exceed 10 years when using the power saving mode.

They are part of a complete ecosystem of wireless modules, gateways,

adapters, and software allowing developers to drop them into their existing designs

to instantly achieve cellular integration without doing a complete redesign.

With Digi Remote Manager, modules can easily be configured

and controlled from a simple central platform. Built-in Digi TrustVent security,

identity, and data privacy features use more than 175 controls to

protect against new and evolving cyber threats. Standard Digi XBee API frames and

AT commands, MicroPython, and XCTU software tools

simplify setup, configuration, and testing.

After the election: Donald Trump could get even more 'extreme' - Duration: 8:30.

When the results of America's midterm elections roll in, Mr Trump could find himself at the mercy of his political opponents

Polls strongly suggest Democrats will claim the House of Representatives, which would leave Mr Trump unable to pass legislation without their support

They would also gain oversight powers over the White House, giving them the ability to thoroughly investigate Mr Trump and his associates

The question is, how would Mr Trump respond to such a loss of power? Former Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd is worried the President could transform into an even more "extreme" figure

"What he would seek to do is wedge the Democrats on a series of foreign policy, immigration and economic policy questions in order to make the Democrats' position look weak," Mr Rudd told the Australian Financial Review today

"And if that meant him taking a more extreme position to the right on these questions, he's more likely to do so under those circumstances

" The consequences would be felt around the world.  ESCALATING TRADE WAR Mr Trump's administration is currently locked in a tense stand-off with China over his efforts to end its "unfair" trade practices

In September, the President imposed new tariffs on $200 billion worth of imports from the country, adding to the $50 billion he had already targeted

"For months, we have urged China to change these unfair practices, and give fair and reciprocal treatment to American companies," Mr Trump said at the time

"We have been very clear about the type of changes that need to be made, and we have given China every opportunity to treat us more fairly

" The rate of those tariffs is set to rise from 10 per cent to 25 per cent from January 1 next year, causing economic pain for both countries

Mr Trump has also threatened to extend the tariffs to another $267 billion worth of goods

China has responded with its own tariffs on American products, but is now suffering an economic slowdown

Mr Rudd believes a bad result for Mr Trump in the midterms would hinder efforts to end the trade war quickly

"If he emerges in an embattled state from the midterms, having lost the House, and a further embattled state if he then faces adverse findings from the Mueller investigation, I'm less optimistic that he would have the political capital in his own mind to strike a deal with Xi Jinping to bring the trade war to an end," Mr Rudd told the AFR

Mr Trump has agreed to meet Chinese President Xi Xinping for dinner at the G20 Summit in Argentina at the end of this month

There are hopes a deal could be struck there. "We've had very good discussions with China

We're getting much closer to doing something. They very much want to make a deal," Mr Trump told reporters last week

"As you know, their economy went way down since we've been doing this skirmish. I spoke with President Xi yesterday

They very much want to make a deal. "They want to make a deal very badly. We want to make a deal if we can

" Should Mr Trump lose control of Congress, the already slim chances of that deal being reached will evaporate further

LIMITED POWER Why is trade so inextricably linked to the midterm results? Because Mr Trump will retain his influence in that area regardless of what happens

The President's executive powers, which give him authority over government agencies and regulations, do allow him to circumvent Congress on most foreign policy matters

So while he would be largely hamstrung on any policy requiring legislation, he could continue his stand-off with China without restraint

Mr Trump's predecessor, Barack Obama, faced a similar situation after his own crushing defeat in the 2010 midterm elections

With the House under Republican control and negotiation a mostly fruitless pursuit for both sides, Mr Obama relied on executive orders to enact his agenda

The problem with that approach became obvious as soon as he left office — Mr Trump could simply saunter into the White House and reverse those executive orders with a stroke of his own pen

Then there is another factor making Mr Trump's life more complicated — the Mueller investigation

Vanity Fair reports the President's aides are preparing for Special Counsel Robert Mueller to deliver his report into Russian election interference as early as the day after the midterms, or at least later this month

They are worried the report could spell trouble for Mr Trump's son, Donald Jr, who may have lied to investigators when he claimed he had not told his father about the infamous Trump Tower meeting, in June 2016, beforehand

Mr Trump's natural instinct whenever he is threatened is to fight back. If the Mueller investigation closes in, and resurgent Democrats follow through on their promise to start digging into the Trump Organisation's finances, there is always a risk the President will do something drastic

#PostcodeMillions Winners - WR10 3AQ in Pershore on 03/11/2018 - People's Postcode Lottery - Duration: 3:53.

- Welcome to the People's Postcode Lottery Millions event here in the spectacular

Croome Court. How wonderful is this place?

- It's beautiful.

- It's absolutely gorgeous.

This Millions event is promoted by the Postcode Culture Trust.

- We have £3 Million to be shared between our winning postcode. Can't wait to meet them. I don't really want to leave here though.

- I don't want to leave this house. Do you reckon they're playing?

Should we go knocking on their door?

- Let's get this off to a good start shall we.

Take in some deep breaths.

- The kids have already chosen what they want for Christmas. So I'm not going to

say no this year. It's a definite yes!

- Congratulations. Well done!

- I know I can pay now for the

cats going in the cattery, when I go on holiday next year to Malaysia. And I'm

gonna love it. Well in life. Do what you can.

I'm just chuffed, and I don't know what to say. I'm happy as a pig in muck.

- I think a nice holiday. What do you think? Yeah. You coming?

- Yes!

Look at that!

- When I seen it, nearly £16,000. The thing that really filled me up here today was

to see how much that actually goes towards charity. It's

mind-blowing, and I'm proud to be part of that too, to give that money to charity. I really am.

- You gotta give me a luxury item that you're gonna spend the money on?

- A luxury item? Oh, that's a difficult question really. It'll be my good lady, she's the

only luxury in my life.

- Oh, good answer!

- Congratulations to all of our winners

Good luck. Let's reveal the full winning postcode.

This is our Joy! Who, it feels like forever ago when we met you. How are you?

- Okay!

- Oh my goodness.

- I'm shocked!

- She's hanging on to that with grr!

[CHEERING]

- Well it is. It's total shock. It hasn't sunk in. Hopefully, it means that both me

and my husband can think about cutting down our days at work, and maybe having a

bit more quality time.

- Extremely excited, but I think it's going to take a few days for it all to sink in,

and then I will really start to feel sort of properly excited about it. At the

moment, it's just unreal.

- I want to say a massive thank you to Croome Court. You held a wonderful

reception today, and thank you to all the players that play along, because you've

contributed to maintaining this wonderful, wonderful area. I can feel the

fresh air going through my body, and it feels amazing.

- It really does. If you're not playing here

all the details. Maybe you fancy signing up, and you never know one of us could be

knocking...

- On your door!
