WHAT IS DIVERSITY? | DIVERSITY 101 | xreadingsolacex - Duration: 12:05.

Hello you gorgeous individuals, it's Kav here and today I'm going to be

starting a brand new series on my channel. Anyone who has followed me for

even a second will know that one of my biggest goals in the book community is

to talk about diversity and talk about real issues. Whereas I do have a

diversity playlist on my channel that I will link below and link up here where

I have kind of sporadic diversity videos as issues come up in the community

or important days come up in society in general, I kind of wanted to find a way

to incorporate diversity into something more organized than just the random

sporadic videos that tend to come, so I came up with a brand new series called

diversity 101. The entire point of this series is to kind of educate you all

about diversity because I know that many allies and many people in general want

to help out with diversity, but they don't really know where to start and it is

somewhat inappropriate to go around just asking marginalized people to educate

you when you have so many resources on the internet, but I thought that since I

have the ability to, I could be a resource for you all so that you know

you have someone you can talk to - someone who has had personal experience with

this - to be there to educate you to the best of my ability. Before I even go on

with this series or with this video, I want to put the disclaimer that I am one

person, I can only speak for my experiences and the experiences I've

heard friends and family members tell me. I can't speak for everyone's experiences,

diverse people are not a monolith - no one group of people ever is - so the point of

this series is really just to give you as many basics as I'm capable of from

where I'm standing, so that you all can to the best of your ability contribute

to helping out diverse people. Now, even if you are a marginalized person you

probably have some sort of privilege and you could use some education on that or

maybe you just want to hear someone talk about diversity to see an experience

that might be different or similar to yours, so I think that this series will

be beneficial to everyone and hopefully it'll be beneficial to myself because

you all might have some more information that I myself don't know that you will

be able to comment down below, so I think that this will be a good experience for

everyone. Anyway, that was the longest intro ever, so let's jump

into the video.

This first video is kind of going to be concentrated on the big

question of what is diversity and what is representation because we talk

about the two a lot, but rarely do we actually define them for people who

don't know what they are. As a very, very. very, short one sentence summary

diversity is essentially variety and when we're talking about representing

diverse people and including diverse people in your books and in your forms

of media essentially what people are saying is that you need a variety or

various different types of people - for example, having people of different races

different religions, different genders, different sexualities, etc. - there is an

entire list of this. So diversity essentially means variety. Representation,

on the other hand, is the portrayal of something, so when someone is being

represented what is happening is that their identity is being shown in that

form of media. I want to clarify that these two things are different. You can

have diverse characters in your media, but they may not be represented. That

doesn't mean that you shouldn't have diverse characters and that's not that

I'm saying - I'm not saying you have to be all or nothing, but they are different

things and I want to clarify that because people conflate them all the

time and I know I'm guilty of doing that myself quite often, but the two are

different. They're not the same thing, they are different words for a reason

because they mean different things. When we talk about diversity in media what

we're basically saying is that your media needs to be more realistic.

Anywhere you go in the world, you are going to see different types of people,

even if you are in a quote/unquote "rural town in the south," you are going to see

different types of people. Now, certain places are more diverse than others - like

California is probably more diverse than a rural town in the

south, but that doesn't mean that there are not diverse people in those rural

towns. No two people are ever the same personality wise or appearance wise and,

often, this also extends to their identities, so trust me when I tell you

that wherever you go, you are going to find diverse people - even if it's one

person of color in ten they still deserve representation and they still

need to be in books. Now, as I said, you can have diverse characters in your

books without having representation. Having a diverse character is having a

brown person in your books, but if their culture isn't talked about and if

their background isn't talked about, it really isn't representation. Though that

character is diverse, they are not being represented - their identity or their

culture is not being portrayed. This does not mean you should not have diverse

characters in your book even if they're not being represented. For example, and

this is just for me personally, I know that if a white author and a

marginalized author were both writing books with people of color, I would

expect that the work of the marginalized author would be representation whereas

the work of the white author is more likely than not just diversity and that

doesn't mean that the white author should not be writing the people of

color characters in their book, it just means that it won't be the same as what

the marginalized author is doing. Now, this does not mean that privileged

authors do not provide representation because some of the best representation

that I have seen has come from privileged authors. And while we're

talking about this, I think we also need to talk about what privilege and

marginalization means and the difference between the two as well. If you are a

white allocishet man, that means you have privilege. If you are a black queer

woman, you don't have the same level of privilege. However, most of the time

people do not fall under every aspect of every category - that doesn't mean it

doesn't happen, but the majority of the time people tend to have parts of them

that are privileged and tend to have parts of them that are diverse.

For example, I am brown, but I also have financial privilege.

So I'm marginalized in my skin color, but I'm privileged in my financial situation,

so rarely does someone fall under either umbrella entirely. I think that a lot of

times in this community we try to separate the two, I've acknowledged this

in a previous video of mine, but I find that a lot of times we try to separate

the two and make them two different things and you can't necessarily do that

because there are so many nuances and intersectionalities that come into play

when we're talking about diversity - you can't say that marginalization and

privilege are opposites because rarely is someone entirely one or the other. Now

getting into representation, the difference between the diverse person of

color character and the represented person of color character, for lack of a

better term, is that the diverse person of color character is just a brown

character - their culture and their identity is not being showcased through whatever

form of media they are in. On the other hand, the person of color character that is

representation has their culture and their identity as a part of their

storyline - and that plays into their storyline and that plays into their

journey - and there is a difference between the two. Because the diverse

community has slowly started getting bigger and bigger, it's not giant yet but

it is slowly growing, many content creators want to have diversity, but they

want it for the wrong reasons. They want to have diversity to be able to check

off the checklist of having diversity. They don't do it because they genuinely

want to represent someone. And what I'm going to say right now is possibly the

most important thing I'm saying in this entire video - diversity for the sake of

diversity is not representation. If you are just including diversity in whatever

your media is because you want to appease the social justice warriors, then

that's not representation and that's really barely even diversity because you

are doing it for the wrong reasons. And I cannot stress that enough because it is

obvious when a content creator has just included diverse characters

because they wanted to check off a checklist and it is obvious when a

content creator has included diverse characters because they actually want to

represent them. You might not think that it's obvious because you might be

sitting in a different seat than I am, but trust me when I say that

marginalized people can tell the difference when they're consuming your

stories. Representation occurs when a content creator puts in the effort - they

do the research, they hire people to help them out and they give them pay for the

help they provide them (by this, I am talking about sensitivity readers and

those types of people who will be able to help you out) - because if you don't put

in the effort, then you're really not representing anyone if you didn't even

try. Now talking about trying, I also want to acknowledge one other thing. There is

a difference between trying and messing up and just being an asshole. Trying and

messing up means you put in the effort, but you messed up - which I myself have

done and I'm pretty sure every single member of this community will tell you

they've done that too - but just being an asshole means you don't even put in the

effort and you don't even want to try. In my one and a half years in this

community, I have never once met someone who hasn't messed up in some way, but

what you do when you mess up is: you learn what you did wrong, you apologize,

and you don't do it again. On the other hand, if you're just an asshole then you

will probably continuously mess up on the same things and you won't apologize

for them. And another thing I want to acknowledge is that if in your book you

have a mix of diverse characters and characters that have been represented,

that's completely different than someone who views diversity as a checklist. It is

hard to make sure that every single character in your book has been

represented. On the other hand, if you have a book with one black character or

with one gay character, you just have one diverse character - it's not even really a

diverse book because... nah that doesn't count okay. I think that

for an introduction to this series this video basically got at what I want to

say which is that diversity and representation are different and that is

what I wanted to emphasize with this video and to give you all a basic

understanding of what diversity and representation are and what it means to

try and what it means to just be an ass. As videos continue to come out they

probably will get more in depth, but I wanted to start off with something more

simple, so that I really was just giving a basic overview because the entire

point of this series is to try to be as simple as possible to really give people

the foundation of allyship before I get into all the nitty-gritty stuff with

nuances and intersections. If you are looking to be an ally, I have a video on

allyship that I will link down below, but here's the thing, we can only control

our own actions. We can't control the actions of someone else, no matter how

hard we might want to at times, so the only person who's in your control is you

and whereas you can try to correct people and educate people, they might not

always be receptive. So what I ask of you all is that you do your best. Thank you

all so much for watching, I hope you enjoyed this video. I know it was one

of my more serious ones, but I think that these videos need to be made because

whereas I love having my light videos where I just discuss books, I also want

to tackle important issues at the same time, so I'm trying to balance out my

channel with both styles of videos. If you enjoyed this video, please give it a

like and subscribe because that stuff makes me happy and please comment down

below if you have any other thoughts about this because, as I said, this was

very simple, so if you want to give some more detail or if you have any other

questions I can, to the best of my ability, try to answer them. As usual, all

of my social media and my goodreads will be in the description below if you'd like to

follow me anywhere else. Thank you all so much for watching. I hope you are having

Trump Just Stuck The Dagger In ABC News After They Ran "Bombshell" – Now They're Paying The Price. - Duration: 4:57.

Trump Just Stuck The Dagger In ABC News After They Ran "Bombshell" – Now They're

Paying The Price.

Imagine you're a huge news station like ABC and one of your well-known employees,

like Brian Ross, reports something about the President and Russia and it's completely

false.

What would happen to you?

You'd get suspended or fired.

What else happens?

You face backlash from your fans, co-workers, and best of all – the person you wrote fake

news about.

In this case, it was Brian Ross releasing a "bombshell" which was more like a "dudshell"

and now he's getting crushed by the real heavyweights of the country.

Not only was he suspended, but now he's lambasted on Twitter by Donald Trump and Donald

Trump Jr.

He's getting the double Trump treatment and it's not pretty.

I can't tell Ross' "dudshell" was intentional or accidental, but it was a big

enough deal to prompt the suspension from ABC who is also getting pummeled on social

media.

You know it's bad when both Trump and his boy go after you on Twitter.

Sometimes it's tough to decide who the more snarky Trump is, because they both throw accurately

aimed daggers at the throats of their enemies, almost always hitting the proverbial jugular

with precision and watching the target bleed out via massive amounts of social media "likes"

and "retweets."

ABC retracted their misleading information and deleted a tweet after realizing the huge

gaffe in Brian Ross' story.

The result of the Ross' mistake was huge as it caused the US stocks and Treasury yields

to drop.

We know it will bounce back quickly, but when false information causes American value to

decrease, then it needs to be taken care of sooner than later.

Both Dons had a bit to say about this on Twitter, slicing through ABC like a heavily swung ax

going through the stem of a plant, cutting through almost impeccably.

What they said was harsh, true, and damning for ABC and they deserved it.

Daily Mail reports:

Donald Jr went on the attack against ABC News on Saturday after it emerged that its claim

that Donald Trump ordered Michael Flynn to contact Russia was inaccurate.

The news company said it had suspended Brian Ross, its chief investigative correspondent,

over the Friday claim, which saw US stocks, the dollar and Treasury yields drop in response.

'@ABC retracts their misleading "bombshell" and removes their tweet approximately 12 hours

after they knew it to be false,' Trump Jr tweeted.

'I know it's rare for you guys to get more than 200 RTs so I guess you milk it when

you can?!?!

#fakenews'

That level of incorrectness is too damn high.

That's the type of lie that people in court face perjury charges for.

That's the type of lie that can put an innocent man on death row.

That's the type of lie that might get more than 200 retweets and result in a several

week suspension without pay.

That's the type of lie an entire country would consider fake news.

That's what Mr. Ross is serving his extended break for.

He should've fact-checked.

Surely he has the resources to figure out if that's true.

It's not like ABC is running a program like Wayne's World out of a neighborhood on free

access television.

Big Trump had something to say and channeled his inner Brady Bunch.

Trump also tweeted about the suspension.

'Congratulations to ABC News for suspending Brian Ross for his horrendously inaccurate

and dishonest report on the Russia, Russia, Russia Witch Hunt,' he wrote.

'More Networks and "papers" should do the same with their Fake News!'

ABC's response:

'We deeply regret and apologize for the serious error we made yesterday.

'As a result of our continued reporting over the next several hours ultimately we

determined the information was wrong and we corrected the mistake on air and online.

'Effective immediately, Brian Ross will be suspended for four weeks without pay.'

I struggle to get 200 retweets too, but I only have a few hundred followers.

ABC is much bigger and if they can't get 200 retweets on every tweet, then they're

doing something wrong.

Trump Jr. calling them out on their ineffective social media skills was cold-blooded, like

a woman reminding a creepy man that he has no chance.

What now?

The Presidential family will carry on.

The stocks and American values will increase upon finding out the Ross "bombshell"

was really a "dudshell."

America will be just fine as long as we continue calling out the mainstream media when they

make huge mistakes, post fake news, and do shady things just for getting a few extra

clicks.

Mainstream media outlets are massive companies who don't need to pull shady tricks to get

clicks.

They can give the public the facts and do very well.

It's time for the big time mainstream media to return to a neutral position and let the

readers decide what to believe.

While they're doing that, we can be over here helping to make America great again.

A round of applause for the Dons and their ability to crush ABC with a tweet.

FBI Agents Fire Back At Trump : Saying We Aren't Dedicated Is 'Simply False'.

The head of FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) fired back at President Trump's comments

against the bureau on Sunday, saying any suggestion that agents aren't dedicated to their jobs

"is simply false."

"Every day, FBI Special Agents put their lives on the line to protect the American

Agents perform these duties with unwavering integrity and professionalism and a focus

on complying with the law and the Constitution," FBIAA head Thomas O'Connor said in a statement.

"This is why the FBI continues to be the premier law enforcement agency in the world.

FBI Agents are dedicated to their mission; suggesting otherwise is simply false."

Trump tweeted earlier Sunday that the FBI's reputation was in "tatters" after being

lead by former FBI Director James Comey, whom Trump fired in May.

"After years of Comey, with the phony and dishonest Clinton investigation (and more),

running the FBI, its reputation is in Tatters - worst in History!

But fear not, we will bring it back to greatness," Trump tweeted.

Comey also shot back at Trump's tweet on Sunday.

Obama Attorney General Eric Holder also hit back at Trump's comments earlier Sunday.

"Nope.

Not letting this go.

The FBI's reputation is not in 'tatters,'" Holder tweeted.

"It's composed of the same dedicated men and women who have always worked there and

who do a great, apolitical job."

"You'll find integrity and honesty at FBI headquarters and not at 1600 Penn Ave

Trump made the comments after a report that special counsel Robert Mueller removed an

FBI agent from his team for potentially making anti-Trump remarks.

Mueller was appointed as special counsel after Trump fired Comey.

Ask about FASHION SENSE :: ask gorgeous J-fahionistas in BABY THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT tea party! - Duration: 11:08.

I think those people who changes those are fashionable.

Ali Project has their own view of the world.

I really have a huge respect for them.

I believe they are able to express what they like.

Ah, ah, ah...can you hear me? Ah, ah

The light is on so you should hear me.

Hey guys and girls on Ask Japanese, this is Cathy Cat.

And we are right now here at Baby the star shine bright,

30th anniversary tea party.

Also obviously, Alice and the pirates, both of those brands are celebrating today.

And we are going to go and ask the people here their opinion

What does a fashionable person here in Japan has to have or has to do

We are going to learn some of this so let's go ask Japanese.

A Fashionable Person?

What type of person do you think has a high fashion sense?

A person who doesn't wear branded wear as it is,

but adds some original items

and coordinates it in their own way.

What kind of extra items?

For brands they start from the top to bottom with unified designs with jumper, skirts and socks,

so perhaps changing the item for the head,

or changing one item into plain colors.

People who gives those extra change I believe are fashionable.

People who likes clothes.

Which element of clothes have you become to like?

I guess the part you can express yourself differently.

Today for example?

Since today is a party,

so I am adding flowers to match the party

and chose some dresses with chiffon-style materials.

I believe people who matches their faces or hair color

with soft colors or with the fluffy looking outfit is who I think is nice.

When it comes to fashion, I don't have a specific fashion icon who I look up to,

but people who draw portrait pictures, animation, 2D drawings, or something with dark feeling.

I believe those are people with stylish image to me.

So people who doesn't necessarily wear them but who is talented in drawing?

Yes.When I can feel what is illustrated in their drawing.

People who expresses their character but at the same time has an overall balance.

For example, I like vivid colors.

So for today I have turquoise with red and black.

Multiple colors but balanced so a single color won't stick out.

When we look at the fashion here,

if you see from top to bottom,

even in white pants, it doesn't stick out much.

Even if you like a specific item, you try to adjust the total balance with it.

I believe that is talented.

Expressing in your own way.

Without considering the eyes of the others, but in your own way creating your fashion coordination.

Or using your favorite items to enjoy fashion with confidence. That kind of person.

People who has a specific theme in their fashion or has their own worldview.

Is there any specific model you have in mind?

Yes, it is actually an artist but Ali Project.

They have a specific world view so that is what I really respect them for.

I believe people with a lot of imagination has a high sense of fashion.

Adding venetian masque or headdress around the waist,

or wrapping tights around the arm.

When you do something crazy like that, it doesn't look good but fashionable people can make it look nice.

I always think those people are awesome.

I think people who are overall balanced,

but at the same time being able to express what you like.

Overall?

The colors or the silhouette. People who can balance those are great.

Ok, where are you from?

We are from Hong Kong.

Both of you?

Yes.

So you came all the way for the tea party?

This is the first time.

This is our first time to BABY tea party.

Our first time so it is very exciting.

Your first time, too?

Yes, first time to BABY tea party,

but a few times for Japan traveling.

And shopping?

Yes, buy buy buy

What we are asking right now is,

A person who has a great sense of fashion. A fashionable person.

In your opinion, what kind of a person is that?

Inspiring me on some topics about life.

It's like...if I see someone wearing very strong fashion sense,

I think she would be a person that is out of the box.

Yes, out of the box.

A little bit different from the rest?

Yes.

Not wearing what everyone else is wearing?

Become a unique person.

Just like what we are wearing, the foreign fashion. Harajuku Fashion.

Some kind of this is, out of the box already.

So I think Japan is the most fashionable place that can spread Lolita fashion to the whole world.

How to start wearing Lolita Fashion.

If someone wanted to start out Lolita fashion,

but doesn't know how to be fashionable, could you give us an advice?

Adding in some small item you like,

or adding in one motif to the fashion,

will change drastically so you can expand your Lolita or other fashion world.

Recently I am into the dark looking fashion,

such as vampire and stuff, so having that image in mind,

-from paintings, and 2D illustrations?

Yes, from illustrations I would expand my image, and wear related items.

Does that mean converting your 2D world into your fashion?

Yes, I would be inspired by Anime characters,

and I would think of wearing like how they are wearing.

I'm sure you will be so nervous when you enter the store for the first time,

but the shop staff is nice.

The reason I started Lolita was from the lucky bags.

Lolita dresses are very expensive, but lucky bags are quite cheap so it's a good way to start.

That's good news. How about you?

You should start by collecting little by little,

and after a few years you have some items

and along the way you should learn the skills.

So at the beginning you should start with, the lucky bags or pre-coordinated sets.

I think what is important is how you can wear those to fit your body shape.

As a first step it is good to copy the coordination the models are doing on magazines.

Another way is go to the store often and make friends with the shop staff.

If you go for the first time, it's difficult to choose.

Then the shop staff will come talk to you and I would try the recommended hit item.

When it comes to Lolita fashion,

The volume of the dress is quite large,

since it is quite an amount,

so start out with accessories,

or lace socks.

Either go in with those small cute items,

or increase the number of normal dresses in your daily life

and for the next dress adding in a Panier to the collection would be nice.

I think the important thing is see many things, such as magazines.

Or check out people who is wearing outfits that you like.

That is what I think is good.

Since Lolita fashion itself stands out very well on the streets,

so you should start out by finding the one dress that you really like,

and coordinate that one dress in your own way would be nice.

If you are thinking of buying one, go to the store.

Find a store that you like and go there.

If you are unsure, consult a shop staff.

And increase your collection little by little is good.

That will be all the questions. Thank you very much.

So what is a fashionable person to you?

We had quite a lot of opinions.

I think a fashionable person is someone who isn't wearing what everybody else is wearing.

I think that's an important point.

Just don't go with what everyone else is doing.

Try to be different, try to be creative. It is never easy. It's always hard to be different from everyone else.

But I can tell you guys it's worth it.

It brought me here to where I am right now.

So never be afraid to try something else.

Never be afraid to maybe even wear something that might not look so good, because...

hey, next time it might get better.

Some of the coordinates I'm doing on Instagram for example, they weren't so good.

But little by little you get more accessories, you work it out,

you look at other people and little by little you work your style.

Never be afraid to stand out,

never be afraid to try out new things.

I hope you enjoyed this video. We have done other videos on Japanese fashion,

Voa News December 4, 2017 - Duration: 4:59.

From Washington, this is VOA news.

I'm Jonathan Jones reporting.

A suicide blast killed at least six civilians in eastern Afghanistan Sunday and wounded

13 others.

The bomber was on a motorcycle and apparently tried to reach the venue of a massive pro-government

rally in Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province.

But Afghan security forces intercepted him far away from the event, prompting him to

donate explosives strapped to his body.

A provincial government spokesman told VOA that one woman and a child were among the

dead.

There have been no claims of responsibility for the violence.

Kurdish forces in Syria announced Sunday that they had regained control of a key area east

of the Euphrates River from Islamic State militants.

The People's Protection Units, or YPG, thanked Russian forces as well as the United States-led

coalition for logistical and air support in retaking Deir al-Zour's eastern countryside.

At a news conference on Sunday, the group's spokesperson said that he had hoped for more

coordination, however, with the two international powers.

President Trump has not yet made a decision on whether he will officially recognize Jerusalem

as the capital of Israel.

At least that's what his adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner said Sunday.

Kushner spoke at an annual conference on U.S. policy in the Middle East in Washington.

He said, "He's still looking at a lot of different facts, and when he makes his decision, he'll

be the one to want to tell you, not me."

Kushner's comments follow reports in the past few days that Trump, indeed, will most likely

declare Jerusalem as the capital of Israel during a speech scheduled for Wednesday.

This is VOA news.

White House national security adviser General HR McMaster says the possibility of war with

nuclear armed North Korea "is increasing every day."

He said dictator Kim Jong Un is "getting closer and closer and there's not much time left."

McMaster spoke at a forum on Saturday in California.

"And so it's immensely important that we work together with all of our allies, partners,

everyone internationally, to convince Kim Jong Un that the continued pursuit of these

capabilities is a dead end for him and his regime."

McMaster said Americans should feel safe attending the Winter Olympics in South Korea in February.

He said President Trump is sending a "strong, presidential delegation to the Olympics."

The U.N. refugee agency reports the number of refugees who have fled into Zambia to escape

militant violence in two provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo has now topped

12,000.

Correspondent Lisa Schlein reports for VOA from UNHCR headquarters in Geneva.

The agency reports more than 8,400 Congolese refugees have arrived in Zambia in just the

last three months, indicating a worsening of the situation in southeastern Democratic

Republic of Congo.

Government forces reportedly are killing many civilians in response to the rebellion in

Haut-Katanga and Tanganyika Provinces against the continued rule of the country's president,

Joseph Kabila.

To put the increasing instability in the country in perspective, UNHCR spokesman Babar Baloch

notes more than four million people are internally displaced in DRC.

He tells VOA within the past month alone, 200,000 more people have fled their homes.

"When you do the math, the rough total of internal displacement comes to around 6,500

people being displaced each day."

Baloch says some 80 percent of the refugees are women and children, driven out by the

extreme brutality of rampaging militias.

Lisa Schlein, for VOA news, Geneva.

In a series of Sunday morning tweets from the White House, President Trump attacked

his own Federal Bureau of Investigation and he said he never asked then-FBI Director James

Comey to stop investigating his one-time national security adviser Michael Flynn about his contacts

with Russia's ambassador to Washington.

"The FBI's reputation," said President Trump, "is in Tatters, the worst in History!"

There is more on these and other late breaking and developing stories, from around the world,

around the clock, at voanews.com and on the VOA news mobile app.

I'm Jonathan Jones reporting from the world headquarters of the Voice of America in Washington.

Conor Mcgregor Trolls Max Holloway; UFC 218 Post Fight Reactions; Kamaru Usman on Emil Meek Fight - Duration: 2:59.

Fight I have an update directly from Usman regarding

his fight vs emil meek and whether the fight will be going down.

He said he's been fighting the flu for the last week.

He was told that Meek was unlikely to be issued a visa and that he didn't want to train

for no reason.

He said yesterday he realized that Meek had his visa approved and said it was too late

to fight him.

as far as he knows the fight is off.

He wants to see how he feels next week and then he'll have an official response.

He also said he fears nothing that Meek brings to the table because he can't out wrestle

him, out grapple him, and doesn't have the punching power that Woodley has.

He said the fight was initially made to keep him busy so he doesn't understand why fans

are calling him a duck if he's looking for better opponents.

UFC 218 has concluded and we saw Francis Ngannou obliterate Alistair Overeem with THE nastiest

uppercut I have ever seen in round 1.

I feel Francis possesses the equivalent, if not, more power than shane carwin did in his

prime. In the post fight press conference He said he feels great and couldn't stop thinking

about stipe during his training camp and through the buildup of this fight.

Both he and Dana want to set the fight up as soon as possible.

He plans to spend his bonus money on a training camp in Paris, visit his family in Cameroon,

and wants to invest more money into a gym he's building for kids.

And for those concerned for Overeems overall health.

He said he's fine and was just caught by an uppercut from hell.

Max Holloway tko'd Jose Aldo for the second time via punches in round 3 but did it 40

seconds faster this time around.

When asked about whether he would be interested in a rematch with conor he said "if the

UFC offered me the fight I'd gladly fight him."

If the conor fight doesn't happen it's not on my side I'll tell you guys right

now."

Mcregor trolled Holloway on twitter with this tweet saying that he misses these sunglasses.

This is a picture after Max's loss to conor in 2013.

It must've been his way of implying who the real king of the featherweight division

is.

Conor is tactical so I'm sure he's setting up an additional lucrative future fight.

This was also Max's last loss before going on his 12 fight win streak.

Max replied to conor and said "miss the sunglasses?

I bet you also miss 2015 brother.

Retired fighters love the past."

A poll was taken to see who fans want to see mcgregor face next and it's still Tony Ferguson

for a title defense.

But Max Holloway has pulled ahead of Nate Diaz.

This is a small sample size so variance is a factor here as the voting can swing quickly

in another fighters favor.

Who do you guys want to see Conor face next?

and finally Eddie Alvarez and Justin Gaethje's highly anticipated fight lived up to the hype

as they had a toe to toe slugfest.

In round 2 we saw Alvarez's right cheek inflate to the size of a tennis ball.

I thought he would quit but he pressed on the gas and managed to tko Justin via knees

and punches in the 3rd round.

Both eddie alvarez and Justin Gaethje did not attend the post fight conference as they

were escorted to the hospital.

Both fighters $50k Fight of the night bonus.

Outlander Season 3 Episode 12: First Reaction "The Bakra" - Duration: 2:47.

hi guys I'm Melissa Elise and you're watching Melissa Elise TV welcome to my

first reaction of Outlander season 3 episode 12 The Bakra this episode

had so many surprises and my mind was blown so many times but by the end I was

just a little annoyed let's start with the surprises though

so the first mind explosion was the reveal of the Bakra as Mrs. Abernathy aka Geillis Duncan

The minute I heard her voice I was like Geillis what Wow okay so but then of

course I was curious how did she get into that house how did she get to

Jamaica but all of us revealed later at the Governor's Ball when she sees Claire

then I wasn't surprised but more like of course this is happening when Claire

witnessed the slave trade sometimes I just don't understand why she throws

herself into situations she knows will get everyone into trouble like attacking

a slave trader in front of everyone she just does not use her capable brain when

she gets this emotional even though she knows the history and the time that

she's in the situation does work in their favor though when their new

companion is able to get them information at the Governor's Ball when

the Campbells show up in the service of Geillis I was a little surprised but

more relieved to finally see their connection to everything and then we see

that Geillis is still up to her old Jacobite ways so no surprise there

but I was truly blown away when the new governor turns out to be Lord John Gray

this could not have worked out better for the Frasers that is until Captain

Leonard shows up and of course they couldn't just get a

as the episode played out with all the reveals of old characters I had so many

questions come up but most of them were answered by the end and I'm not sure if

I love the way that Diana Gabaldon crafts the story where everyone's lives

just intersect continuously at just the right moment or if it feels a little bit contrived

I do know that I feel a little annoyed because we spent so much of this

season slowly playing out background information and though it was important

now that the action and the excitement is picked up the season is over okay

that's my two cents for now check out my Outlander review on Wednesday for a full

episode breakdown and leave a comment below letting me know what surprised you

most about the back row if you enjoyed this video like and subscribe for more

awesomeness thanks for watching

I hope you are having

a lovely day or night wherever you are. Please remember you're beautiful and

you deserve the world and I will see you all next week with a

brand new video. Goodbye!
