This use to be Hayabusa Elementary School
But in March, 2018 it closed down
We wanted to make it a place where people could come together again so we decided to renovate the school
5 years ago, my friends and I noticed our town losing it's liveliness
So we decided to get together and make the town interesting again
First we opened a restaurant nearby
Then we opened a guest house that attracts the bikers that come by
We renovated an old house to make it
That's where I'm staying tonight!
I look forward to seeing it
A lot of people with the "Hayabusa" bike come by
but because there wasn't anywhere to stay, they all just came, explored a bit and left
But we wanted visitors to stay, interact with the locals and leave the town with fond memories
And the concept here for the elementary school is to have a community of innovative people who want to build their own paths in life, starting their own businesses or projects
Some of the retired people of the town started their own business to show that no matter what age you are, it's never too late to do anything :)
Now they are producing and selling mushrooms
This place is not only a shared office for entrepreneurs to gather
We want to embrace the things in the countryside too like being surrounded by beautiful nature
Building a community with the elderly locals
Basically the concept is to embrace the things we have in the countryside
whist adding in technology and design skills to make it a better place for the future
You need some strength for this haha

The elderly people you just met graduated from this high school
This school closed down 2 years ago with only 13 students left at the end
But to the people of the town, it's a place with many memories
Many wished for this place to be used again...
and since our company is very thankful for all that this area has done for us
we wanted to give back to the community and turn this place into a lodge where people can come stay
and also interact with the locals by doing the activities you just did

In the countryside, the sense of community is very strong here
And since this is a school they all went to, it has a very special place in their heart and connects them

Our owner's vision is that you can always build more and more new things
but they believe it is very important to preserve the old
So the concept to the hotel is to renovate the old buildings and add in new things
whilst also keeping nature the way it was and create a space where you can coexist with nature
At our hotel there are 6 rooms
When it first opened there were 8 but we wanted to make rooms bigger so now there are 6

3-Step Stamp Layering Butterflies that POP UP! - Duration: 5:50.
Hi everyone, Jessica here. Welcome to my first video tutorial for 2019.
Today I'll be sharing this really simple butterfly card featuring a surprise pop up mechanism.
We'll be using Watercolor Wings.
It's definitely one of my all time favorites and because it's a 3 step stamp set
you can really experiment and play with the inks and color combinations.
For my base image, I am using Versamagic Pixie Dust.
Generally, for stamp layering, you want to use your lightest shade for the base image
or the stamp with the largest area.
Then you'll work toward your darker shades.
That way you'll end up with using your darkest ink on the details or the highlight areas.
I'm also using my Stamparatus tool; it makes using layering stamps very, very easy because
I don't have to line up the stamps every single time.
And if I want to double stamp to get a better or fuller coverage,
I can always just ink up my stamp knowing that it'll stamp at the exact position as last time.
Another great thing about this stamping tool is that it actually comes with 2 plates
And you can utilize each of the 4 sides so you actually get 4 surfaces to work with.
Here I am flipping over my first plate so I can stamp the second layer with Versamagic Pink Grapefruit.
For the final layer, I am using Versafine Clair Glamorous
And it's hands down my favorite color in the entire Versafine Clair line.
It's so pretty.
No, but seriously, I've been dying to try the Versafine Clairs
And I'm really enjoying their ink properties and their vibrancy.
I'm hoping to do an ink review sometime soon so stay tuned for that.
After stamping, we're just going to use the coordinating die to cut out the butterflies.
Oops, one more thing, we have to stamp the body.
But it's better to leave this step after die cutting though because that way
you can ensure that none of the body is going to be cut off.
For the sentiment, I'm using Delicata in Golden Glitz.
It's my first time using any inks from the Delicata line
and I have to say I am very very impressed by the performance.
It is a pigment ink so you can also use it on dark cardstock.
After layering for a couple of times, you'll get a really good impression
And the metallic shine is just fantastic.
It actually matches the shade of my metallic paint so I'm going add on some ink splatters.
I also stamp the small butterflies with the same colors of ink
and now we're ready to make the pop up element.
The small butterflies measure two inches exactly so we're just going to score at one inch mark in the middle.
Then I'm going to use the On Point glue to adhere the butterflies together.
And here you have a string of butterflies.
Now you can decide where you want to place them on the card.
A tip to adhering the butterflies is to apply adhesive on one side
And then fold them up,
apply adhesive on the other end and then fold the card down.
And now this simple and fun card is finished.
