Ottoman Uniforms of World War 1 I THE GREAT WAR Special - Duration: 7:29.What the soldiers of the warring nations wore on their bodies varied widely, so we're
doing a series of specials on the uniforms of those nations, and today I'll be looking
at the Ottoman Empire.
I'm Indy Neidell; welcome to a Great War special episode on Ottoman Army uniforms during
the First World War.
One physically visible result of the Young Turk Revolution in the Empire in 1908 was
in the army uniforms, though reform did take a few years to go into effect.
Going back a century the Empire had tried several times to modernize the army's appearance
and organization with different foreign influences.
For example, in the 1850s at the time of the Crimean War there was a heavy French influence,
but by the end of the century the army pretty much modeled itself after German fashions.
In 1909 a basic khaki uniform replaced the old dark blue one, though officers still used
those for full-dress uniforms.
The red tarbush, the fez, which had a dark-blue tassel and had been used for a century, was
replaced by the kabalak, though fezes were occasionally still worn by troops off duty.
The 1916 Turkish army handbook reads, "The cap is a khaki kalpak with a distinctive top
or dome the same color as the coat collars.
Officers have gold ornamental bands on the crown.
But the rank and file were supplied in 1913 and 1914 with a new head-covering, the Bashlik,
a long strip of khaki cloth tied spirally on the head and forming a sort of soft helmet,
which can be easily mistaken for the British khaki helmet in a bad light.
It is, however, more pointed, and falls particularly in front and behind."
Some reports say that the Kabalak was personally designed by Enver Pasha, Minister of War,
but others refute that.
So from 1908 they had the kabalak, and then it was later replaced with the simpler Bashlik.
Troops of Arab origin usually wore their traditional kufiya head cloths.
Later in the war the Ottoman navy brought in a new headgear that was basically a normal
European naval cap, but without the peak in front as deference to Islamic tradition.
You could touch your head to the ground during prayers without taking it off.
Actually, post war when Ataturk came to power he insisted that men wore peaked caps as a
direct challenge to Islamic tradition and a lot of people were killed in the subsequent
riots.
Toward the end of the war, some soldiers were issued steel helmets, the first of those being
Ottoman shock troops that served in Palestine and the Caucasus.
We've seen in other armies how the quality of the uniforms can vary quite a bit, but
it varied more among the Ottoman soldiers than elsewhere.
Many officers, especially senior officers, had their clothing made in Germany.
Some of the enlisted men's stuff was made there too, but the bulk of it was made in
Turkey.
It was all right at first, but toward the end of the war the quality ranged from "okay"
to "appalling".
This also applied to things like boots and by the summer of 1917 even some officers didn't
have anything approaching decent boots.
A side note here, during the nasty November weather at Gallipoli in 1915, many soldiers
wore a strange amalgamation of clothing donated by the people of nearby Constantinople, including
high fashion underwear and fine gentlemen's walking shoes.
Branches of service were indicated by colored collars for officers and collar patches for
the other ranks.
You also saw these in the edging of the officers' kabalak; olive green for infantry, grass green
for machine gun companies, light grey for cavalry, dark blue for artillery, mid-blue
for engineers, sky blue for railway troops, and scarlet for the military police.
In 1915 the Ottoman Air Service became a separate branch from the engineers and their color
was changed to red.
Like most armies, rank was indicated by either pips and braiding on the shoulder boards or
stripes on the sleeves.
Auxiliary cavalry was made up of tribal auxiliaries, mostly recruited from among the Kurds.
The government was supposed to give them uniforms, but if you look at old pictures you can see
that even some of the officers still wore traditional Kurdish clothing.
The personal equipment was basically German in design and the weapons were mostly of German
manufacture.
Officers were armed with swords, which they generally did not carry in to battle, and
they bought their own pistols of European design.
The infantry rifle was the Turkish Mauser, either the Model 1893 or Model 1903.
Later on they'd get German M1888 rifles, called the Commission Rifle, and some German
Mauser M1898s, while the Austrians sent them some adapted Russian Mossin-Nagant M1891s.
Some of the reservists still had the obsolete black powder Turkish Mauser M1887s.
Bayonets were produced by German companies in Solingen and Suhl, and some infantry carried
fighting knives in their boots, a practice that went back to medieval times.
Cavalry were armed with a rifle or carbine, the carbines being the Turkish Mauser M1905.
They also carried a sword, a lance, or both, with the swords often being the M1909 made
by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen.
I gotta point out that the uniforms and arms supply could really vary on all of the different
fronts.
In 1914 the ordinary infantryman was well equipped and well-dressed, but the standards
deteriorated once the reserves began to be called up en masse so later in the war you
had situations like one unit of 8,000 men who were reported as only having 1,000 rifles.
They were also in general so short of entrenching tools that they captured them whenever possible,
and officers found that maps captured from the British were superior to the Baedeker
tourist guides on which they often had to rely.
I'm not making that up.
And that's the basic rundown.
You have to realize that the fronts on which Ottoman soldiers fought varied more widely
that most of the other nations, and the equipment is going to reflect all the local variations
that adjust for climate.
They fought in the deserts of the Middle East or Libya, the flood plains of Mesopotamia,
the frozen mountains of East Anatolia, the Galician heartland, the rocks of Gallipoli,
the bleak expanses of the Caucasus, pretty much every climate imaginable.
If you spend some time just googling old photos of the empire you can see the variations in
uniforms and equipment.
I have to say that I personally think the Ottomans had some of the cooler looking uniforms,
but you can form your own opinions.
In fact, I'm going to wrap it up now so you can spend the next few minutes looking
up Ottoman uniforms for yourselves to see it in a little more depth, and while you're
doing so, think of that unit of men with only 1,000 rifles- 7,000 of them going into battle
armed with... what?
I don't know.
Rocks?
Knives?
Just thousands more young men marching to their deaths against the modern forces of
modern war.

This Animal Has Penises For Legs... WHY?! - Duration: 3:22.Scientists have discovered a new insect that has more legs, penises, and friends than me.
Great.
Hey creepy crawlers, Trace here for DNews!
In late 2016, a tiny new insect was found in a cave deep within Sequoia National Park.
This lil guy was a millipede, but not one scientists had seen before.
It came with 414 legs, no eyes, 200 poison glands which secreted an unknown substance,
and… maybe most creepily, four penises.
This multi-genitaled creature, named Illacme tobini is evolutionarily related to a known
millipede groupcalled Illacme plenipes, which actually has 750 legs -- more than any animal
on earth.
And yet our interest still lies with, tobini and his many peenees.
They're located at the ninth and tenth pair of legs, and actually serve a dual purpose
as legs.
Really working that old "third and fourth" leg joke.
These leg-penises are called "gonopods", and are present on other millipede species
as well, although none with more than two.
But they don't quite function in the same way our mammal penises do.
They scoop sperm from another part of the body, called the gonopore, and use the gonopod
to push it into the female millipede's cyphopods.
Penises for legs?
Being a diplopodologist is way cooler than I thought.
What is more interesting is that millipedes aren't the only ones carrying multi-tools.
The order of Squamata, which are scaled reptiles, and includes all snakes, lizards, ALSO have
multiple penises, although, again, not more than two each.
In some cases, each individual penis has two tips, but that's more like four tips total.
These two penises are called hemipenes, oh and fun fact, they're usually covered with
spikes and hooks so they attach securely to the female.
So, why do these animals have so much to give, whereas us humans, and most other penis-bearing
animals, have to live life with their one and only?
Well, a study published in the journal Nature, from 2014 has an interesting evolutionary
answer.
See, the Squamata order, and reptiles in general, are marked by their amphibious nature.
Hundreds of millions of years ago, their ancestors were ocean dwelling, and eventually they sprouted
legs, and crawled onto the shore, getting the best of both worlds.
But that's a pretty tricky move, things are different on land than they are underwater,
and one enormous difference is mating.
See, it may be simplistic to say but if you're mating in water, you're really just squirting
out as much as you can and hoping that the water carries it to the right place; and that
tends to work pretty well.
On land though, indiscriminate spraying doesn't work too well, everything sort of just falls
to the ground.
What this study in Nature found is that these double genitalia were based on the position
of an orifice known as the cloaca.
It's found with amphibians, reptiles, birds, and even some fish!
As an animal develops, the cloaca signals nearby cells and tells them to become a penis.
Since reptiles evolved separately, their cloaca is positioned differently for use underwater.
Simply put, penises on reptiles are based on their hind leg positions.
So, whether you have one or two or four penises… baby, you were born this way.
And this begs the question to me, why do we even have sex at all?
Why don't we just breed asexually?
Find out in this video.
And let us know down in the comments if you have any other new species you want us to
profile or science questions and please subscribe for more DNews.

Sherlock Season 4 Episode 1 Review - Duration: 9:51.this episode elicited a very strong
reaction from me but not quite in a way
that I'm sure mark gatiss and Steven
Moffat in tended so first off warning
there are spoilers ahead because we have
so much to discuss about the six
Thatcher's and I guess my opening
statement would be if all this episode
of Sherlock was inventive with its
writing as it was visually yes Sherlock
continues to be a stylistic Jim very
much seaming on the cutting edge while
in other times and I emphasize at times
also still seeming like a classic
mystery thriller featuring England's
most famous detective and it's that
balance that they got so brilliantly
right at the beginning of this show
which is what made it a sensation but i
think that the balance has been tipped
in the direction of mary mary has her
thumb on the damn scale and even her
death she proves to be a major problem
for the show
in fact it's very similar to the havoc
that Megan Draper reaped on recon mad
men which interestingly enough was
another wife character now when I
tweeted my despite displeasure with Mary
last night after watching the episode
one of you wrote back and said well you
have to at least appreciate that she is
a strong female character in a real you
know adversary or you know someone who
can
like legitimately give Sherlock a run
for his money
well you know in the Sherlock verse that
supposed to be Irene Adler so you know i
read an interview with Gatiss and Moffat
they were saying we don't pretend to
know better than to Sir Arthur Conan
Doyle and it's like well maybe now you
don't couple of episodes now you have
you know Mary was never built up this
way in the original stories and I think
we're beginning to see why and i thought
i'd like to point out that i have no
problem with a clever and Legal
character who's also older and relatable
I think that's great but that's not what
I tuned in to watch sherlock for uh and
i think you know and they said even that
they said you know Gatiss and Moffat
Moffitt and their interview said we know
that it's supposed to be the sherlock
and why
the show we're working our way back
towards that but if what how do they
explain the end of the episode when it
seems that Mary shadow will continue to
lean heavily on the narrative so yes
I've got the whole episode of my wishing
she just go away
I did feel quite guilty when she get
when she sacrificed herself for Sherlock
I was like oh wait i feel i've been
hating on you for like an hour and 15 or
an hour an hour an hour so far Mary and
that was what first I felt it was noble
but you know if you have time to jump in
front of a bullet
I think you also have time to push or
pull Sherlock out of the way especially
with her training and also she just had
a baby right so i think i think this is
quite obvious writing my money is on
Mary having been terminally ill or
something some she was going to die
anyway so that should since she was
already thinking of herself enough
fatalistic sense that was your solution
to just jump in front of the bullet and
so I think by the end of season for
Sherlock and Watson will discover this
and it will alleviate their guilt
although I have to say I don't think
she'll actually guilty of anything
because again she didn't have to jump in
front of the bullet and as I saw some
other people pointing out online last
night
there are a bunch of police in the room
and yet nobody did anything like someone
pulled a gun i think that you know I
really think it's actually kind of mean
to put it all on Sherlock but we'll talk
about what's clearly going on obviously
with Watson as well in just a moment but
so I was feeling bad about it as like
okay Mary one out you want out you went
out nobly and you know at least you're
gone but that one the DVD showed up at
his house and it said miss me on and I
was like yeah yes more you already time
finally that'll made this whole episode
worth it and then Mary came on-screen it
was like it again
I was just like I hate you you know I
really hate this character so much she
did have one great line on the show that
i loved it when she was on the plane
playing a loud American and she was like
did you lose the son in the war I
thought that was really funny and was
very clever i thought she did a good job
with the accented with the delivery but
in the context of the show and
considering how unlikable she's been up
into this point it just felt to me like
very much like the actress Amanda
Abbington instead of the character Mary
likes you
like can you get like you know why don't
people know how awesome I am wire eyes
Popular's cumberbatch and Freeman can
you guys give me a comedic scene so they
can see how talented how much how much
versatility i have an actress I was like
stop auditioning for me I never want to
see you again i'm sorry i really hate
the character and if they want to create
a coal female character they want to do
a black widow show that's awesome go do
that somewhere else
don't don't plug it in the middle of
strong i also have a problem that i
think that the be storylines the
personal drama have really overtaken the
a story lines and the mysteries at this
point to almost all the mysteries seem
like you know like oh do we have to oh
yeah I guess this is a show called
Sherlock we have to have some mysteries
at many points I honestly felt like I
was watching the British big bang theory
right i mean they really do fit quite
well with Sheldon Leonard and Penny when
you think about it and also you never we
never could have guessed what the
outcome was we never could have guessed
the trader was that secretary and a
great deal of fun when it comes to
mysteries is being able to play along
Sherlock isn't the only one who loves
the game now back to Watson and some
more obvious writing clearly as we can
all tell he's actually more upset with
himself not Sherlock because of his
infidelity with that woman on the bus
right we don't know how far it went but
I mean it seems to have gone certainly
very far emotionally and I think that's
clearly what he feels guilty about the
rest of the season is going to be him
having to come to terms with that to
some degree but when he took that phone
into the other room and he was supposed
to be watching the baby the newborn i
was getting some really strong Anthony
Weiner vibes I was just like wow and and
you know it's such a it's it made Watson
so unlikeable that I wasn't quite sure
what the point of it was on this show
and with this character right i mean he
should feel guilty that was horrible and
I saw no reason for him to be unhappy in
his marriage
I mean except for the usual middle
midlife crisis stuff right now and it
was just I don't know it's very cliche
and very dislikable my favorite scenes
of the episode where between Sherlock
and Mycroft when they were talking about
i think maybe because my craft is all
about getting things back on track
including the show of course for those
who don't know he's played by one of the
creators in the writers on the writers
one of the main writers Mark Gatiss but
anyway hit my favorite lines there were
his reaction paper he's like it looks
healthy and they certainly a baby that
was great but i also like when Sherlock
said whatever government you're
currently propping up i just kind of
like the brothers sense of entitlement
and I think they back it up with results
so I think that they're they're they're
they're totally cool to have it i also
liked Mike Ross kitchen that was pretty
awesome I was like that is a great
kitchen Mycroft your interior designer
but you also with British with casting I
think the british TV needs to expand its
circles it's very much seeming like a
private club and that takes me out of
the show
like for instance the guy whose son was
killed as I got found
it's a long lost husband who's supposed
to disappear in Germany off of Downton
Abbey or over on a when you know the guy
was revealed who is smashing smashing
statues I came from mr. Selfridge
there's Harry Selfridges you know bad
business partner who's up to no good and
so I think you know they don't want this
to seem like a theater company i'm sure
there are lots of talented actors in the
UK who could use a break instead of
these other actors just kind of spinning
their wheels
you're supposed to move forward into dr.
strange and Hobbit films in Fargo you
know it's just like I'm cumberbatch and
freeman are also when they read over to
the mi6 building I was like is that
still around that exploded in Skyfall I
mean that was just such an iconic scene
I mean I guess I still have no problem
seeing the white house after
independence day but i guess because I
hardly ever I've never really seen mi6
building prior to Skyfall I just
associated with that sequence and so I'm
just like I'm like who rebuilt that but
as for the rest of the season
am I excited uh yes to know I've spent
too much time with the show not to want
to see how it ends
but if it with Moriarty doesn't factor
into this final season in a meaningful
way at least meaningful I like major but
i'll take meaningful i'm going to be
really upset
don't tease your audience to that degree
it's like a lot of these mistakes I feel
like TV 101 and so many shows have made
the same mistakes in the past like I
said you know Megan
Oberon madman it's weird to watch
especially considering how many we are
these days and we were so good at
reflecting on television shows and
pulling them apart immediately
it's weird to see shows that and that
and that mindset make similar mistakes
but i really do think this may be should
be the final season of Sherlock if they
run this far off course and this much
out of ideas
oh and maybe they can revisit like in 10
years but right now I'm not really
feeling it so i'm curious what did you
think of the episode
do you agree with my theory about Mary
being terminally ill and Watson why he's
guilty
did you remind you of the British big
bang theory at points and you know what
do you think of the writing and the
visuals etc and the casting just what
are your thoughts on this first episode
back thank you for discussing it with me
and you can check out some other
episodes right now

How to get a B1 or B2 Visa - Duration: 1:36.hey thanks checking today, today we're going to
talk about the process of getting a b1
b2 visa now unless you're a Canadian in
order to get a b1 b2 visa or tourist
business visa you actually need to go
into the consulate so it's a bit of a
it's a two-step process you need to jump
online and fill out the consular
processing the d/s forms but then you
actually go to the console interview and
this is where things can get a little
bit interesting when you're filing for a
tourist business visa you really have to
be able to explain the temporary purpose
of your trip so if you're going to let's
just say you coming to America to go to
a conference you would really need to
present the details of the conference
and in addition to that present a reason
why you're going to be going back to
your own country a lot of time that
you've got a family there are you have a
job where you are in your own business
too many times people show up to these
appointments showing their reason to go
to America all my brother lives there my
sister lives there and forget to show
the most important part which is the
reason for coming back so when you go
you won't have things like a letter from
your employer saying hey we granted to
three weeks vacation if you have an ill
mother you have parents that you take
care of a letter from them saying why
you needed back proof of appointments
employment get creative with things
family
the last thing you want to do is go into
that appointment and talk about how much
you love America and all your contact in
America you want to talk about your
contacts in your home country and your
purpose for the trip so just remember
that and feel free to call if you have
any questions we can assist you with
some of those

Ahmed + Shake Shack = Review for the GET READY SHOW ... Leggo !
I've been waiting so long for this moment .. Here we are !! I'm about to review Shake Shack !
I took the Shack Burger. It's obviously a regular cheeseburger.
It's Shake Shack's classic one !
In order to do the review, i had to take a cheeseburger
Also took some cheese fries !
Does it taste the same as in the US ? Let's eat !
I'm about to have a mouth orgasm !
Fat as i like it !!!!
Taste nearly the same !
I'll talk later ! Because it's going to cool down, and it doesn't taste good when it's cold
When you bite it the cheese fills and sticks the whole space available in your mouth !
You can't even speak cause your mouth's stuck ! It's so good !
Best cheese fries i ever ate in my entire life !
It's a delight !
I'm going to finish my meal ! See you in a few seconds for the review !
I'm going to give some notes !
9/10 for the burger ! You can't challenge this decision !
Why 9/10 and not 10/10 ? Because it doesn't taste exactly the same as in the US !
The meat has not the same flavor ! It's better in the US !
Shake Shack's cheeseburger is the best one i ever ate in my life !
When you bite it, it melts in your mouth

Penn Jillette on Libertarianism, Taxes, Trump, Clinton and Weed | Best of '16 - Duration: 18:01.Let me lay on you what Libertarianism is to me.
Once again I'm speaking for myself which is about as Libertarian as you can get.
I do not believe I know what's best for other people.
I also don't believe that other people know what's best for other people.
I can barely make decisions for myself.
I do my best to make decisions for my family.
Should my ten-year-old son take music lessons?
That's a hard question for our family.
Do you want to push him into it or wait until he really wants it?
Those are hard decisions.
I have trouble making those for my family so making the decision of what someone else's
job in healthcare should be like who is in another part of the country who I've never
met is not something I'm qualified or desirous to do.
That's Libertarianism.
Libertarianism is taking a right on money and your first left on sex and looking for
utopia straight ahead.
To me the way I was brought up in western Massachusetts, kind of a New England philosophy.
We believed in responsibility and keeping your nose out of other people's business.
We believed in live and let live I think to a fault.
My mom and dad were older parents too.
My mom was 45 when I was born so I was raised by another generation.
You see my mom would be whatever – 120 now or 115 now.
A whole other generation.
My mom was born – now you're going to see that my math is wrong.
My mom was born in 1909.
She's dead now.
So it's a whole different generation.
And my mom's feeling about absolutely everything was who cares.
Her whole feeling on the gay rights movement was who cares who they want to get together
with.
It doesn't matter to me.
Her whole feeling on drugs.
I have never had a sip of alcohol or any recreational drug in my life.
That was true for my mother, true for my father, true for my sister.
I don't know how many generations it goes back but never.
And yet my mom always thought that sure, any drug should be legal.
If you're living in a free country do whatever you want.
Take responsibility for it.
When you tell people about Libertarianism you just tell them we think you should take
as little from other people by force as possible.
And you should be able to do whatever you think is right.
Now that's a pretty heavy thing I'm saying.
Because I'm saying that if there's an 18-year-old girl who is the greatest math
whiz that we have in this country, let's say she's the smartest person in math we
have anywhere.
And let's say we give her a full scholarship to go to whatever school she wants to go to
– Stanford, MIT, wherever she wants to go.
And she decides she wants to work at McDonald's and get pregnant at the age of 19.
That's her decision.
Jim Morrison – did he have a worse life because he did an awful lot of drugs and died
at 28?
I don't know.
I've already lived a lot longer than Jim Morrison but were his choices worse than mine?
I don't know.
I know I would not have liked to have lived like Jim Morrison although I'd like to look
that good in leather pants.
But Kurt Cobain.
Did I want to live like that?
No, not even slightly.
Prince?
I don't want to live like that.
But they probably don't want to live like me either.
Libertarianism is the strongest sense of please do what you want, try not to hurt me.
Our government has a monopoly on force, they have a monopoly on force.
The government is the only organization that is supposed to be able to use force.
The government is supposed to be a government of us which means in my thinking, my morality,
the government should only use force for things I'm willing to use force for.
The government are the only ones that are allowed to use guns to hurt another person
or threaten another person legally.
So the question becomes what would I use a gun to do?
Now I'm a coward and I have no skills with guns or with violence.
I've never hit a person in anger in my life.
I've been hit.
I never hit back.
So this is hypothetical.
But if I were not a coward would I use a gun to stop someone from being killed?
Yes.
Would I use a gun to stop someone from being raped?
Yes.
Would I use a gun to build a library?
Would I take money from someone to build a library?
Well I'd certainly give my money.
I'd certainly work.
I'd certainly beg you for money to build a library.
Libraries really matter to me.
I was born in 55.
I'm from a small town.
Without a library I would have known nothing.
I had to drive to – I had to ride my bike to the library to learn about Lenny Bruce,
Franz Kafka.
I got Stravinsky records from the library.
It meant everything to me.
Libraries matter.
But that's the Libertarian question.
Now taking care of people.
Would you use a gun to take care of others?
That's a hard one.
Because taxation is using violence.
Now people try to say taxation is voluntary.
It's not.
If you don't pay your taxes eventually somewhere down the line someone with a gun will show
up.
They just will.
At some point if you don't do that.
What do we do with our taxes?
Would we use a gun to defend our country?
Yeah I guess we've got to, right.
Would we use a gun for everything we use for taxes?
So when I see the government doing something I ask myself would I use a gun to do that.
Now all of that being said that is the high level, the theoretical part of Libertarianism
to me.
In a nuts and bolts level it becomes much, much simpler.
It is one of the cases where the reality is simpler than the theory.
When someone is worried about Libertarianism they worry about what happens to public schools,
what happens to welfare, what happens to roads.
Those are the first three questions they ask.
And those are the hardest questions.
I will give you public schools.
I will give you welfare.
I will give you infrastructure.
I will not give you the government using a gun to take money from poor people and giving
it to rich people.
The biggest issue in Libertarianism is stopping corporate welfare.
What we give in welfare to the poor, we give in government money to the roads.
We give government money to the schools is nothing compared to the money we give to rich
people.
The best way to stop crony capitalism, the best way to stop graft, the best way to stop
all sorts of bad stuff in government is to make government small enough.
The way you stop corruption is make it small enough that corruption doesn't pay.
Give the government little enough and there's not a lot to steal from them.
But government is buoying up the rich corporations.
The rich corporations love the government.
They've gained the system in a way an individual never can.
Any big corporation has a team of the best lawyers to figure out how they cannot pay
taxes.
No middle class person has that.
They have regulations set to keep other people out of the business, right.
Even the manicure shops, you know.
They want to license, register everything so that other people can't get in.
It's limiting.
If you had a true free market you would not have the big mega corporations.
Libertarianism is not about rich white people getting a lot of money from corporations and
leaving everybody else to whistle.
Libertarianism is let's not use the government to take money from poor people and middle
class people and give it to rich people.
Because really that's all that's ever happened.
That's all that's ever happened.
In our present climate we have somebody running for president who we know for a fact lied.
Lied a lot less than other people.
We know for a fact she lied.
And we know for a fact that she is an insider and that knows the way to play all the games.
We also know that she knows what's better for other people.
And we know that she says and claims and brags that she will do a lot of killing of people
overseas.
We also know that she is essentially – even after I've called her a liar, she's essentially
a good, honest person.
She essentially has a good heart.
She also has a 65 percent disapproval rating or higher.
That's Hillary Clinton.
There are two things that I always believed about modern politics.
One was that everyone who had ever run for a major office was smarter than me.
And the second thing was there was no one worse than Hillary Clinton.
Both of those things have been disproven by Donald Trump.
Donald Trump, all the good qualities I mentioned about Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump does not
share.
He's not skilled.
He does not have as far as I can tell any compassion.
And he does not have very much knowledge.
He does have a weird kind of charisma that I cannot understand myself.
It doesn't seem to work on me.
But certainly demonstrative that he has charisma that works for some people.
And he's willing to give easy answers.
And being willing to give easy answers which in his case aren't answers, they're just
I will fix it.
We've got this problem, I'll fix it.
Well no, you don't get to say that.
You have to demonstrate how you're doing it.
But both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are very interested in getting a lot of power
for themselves.
I believe Hillary Clinton wants that power because she thinks she knows what's best
for other people.
Let's refer back to me saying I don't know what's best for other people.
I also don't think she does either but she believes that.
And I believe her heart's in the right place.
I don't think Donald Trump knows there are other people to be concerned about.
I don't think he even knows that.
You've got those two.
And neither one of them – this is not fair to Hillary Clinton.
Donald Trump is giving no theoretical policy ideas for how government should run.
Hillary Clinton is not giving enough for my taste.
Here's the debate I want to see.
Now I know that my buddy Gary, Gary Johnson, I know we were trying to get him to do the
debates that if he gets 15 percent he'll be in the debates and that's wonderful.
We should all work for that.
Even people who don't like Gary want to see someone else on stage talking.
I don't see why you wouldn't want him involved in the conversation.
If Hillary Clinton really is great, let her talk to Gary in public.
Well there's nobody that entertains that Donald Trump really is great.
If you thought that for a moment, why not have Gary Johnson talk.
Here's the conversation I want to have.
I want to have this debate.
I don't even want to call it a debate.
I want it to be a simple conversation.
Bernie Sanders, Gary Johnson.
Put them side by side.
Two good people.
Two paragons, you know.
Here's the debate I want to see.
It's not even a debate, a conversation, a public conversation in front of as much
of America as wants to watch it.
Bernie Sanders, Gary Johnson.
Both paragons, both virtuous, both honest, both smart, both concerned about other people,
both with experience in government.
And I want to hear Bernie Sanders say, you know, a lot of people in this country have
trouble taking care of themselves.
We need a strong infrastructure for business to thrive.
We need to protect our country, to protect the people around us.
We need a big strong government with a good solid safety net that can take care of people
and treat them with compassion and make better choices than some individuals will make.
We need a government where more qualified people can take care of those that aren't
and where we can keep corporations at bay and where we can keep some money out of politics.
That's what we need.
And here's some examples of how we can get there from where we are.
Here are the checks and balances we want to put in place on corporations.
Here's what we want to do with campaign finance.
Here's what we want to do with schools.
Here's some of my ideas.
But I want Gary Johnson to say, you know, all those things are problems.
But I think that maybe a little more freedom as opposed to a little more control from the
government might give us a lot of that.
I want individuals to have a little more money in their pockets and use that for charity
and use that for building.
And I think instead of putting up tariffs to keep foreign businesses out we can actually
make America more competitive, less taxes and let them have more power that way and
be more successful.
There would be more money all over the place.
We can take care of people.
I think that'll work pretty well and while we're at it we'll stop the corporations
by not having a big government that flows money to them.
And then Bernie Sanders says back, you know, that sounds really good Gary.
It really does.
But there are some people who just plain are going to be left out.
They're not going to make it.
They're just not going to make it in your dog each dog free market economy.
You're just willing to throw them away?
And then Gary says, you know, maybe a subsistence amount of money for everybody.
Maybe just get paid.
Just give them that money.
Because you know compared to what we're paying for food stamps and all of that stuff
just writing them a check is much easier.
So maybe we can do that.
And Bernie says, you know what you're saying about keeping businesses over here kind of
makes sense Gary.
Maybe we can do a few less tariffs and a little lower taxes to help our corporations and maybe
that'll help a little bit.
And they go back and forth and they come up with an impasse where they don't agree.
And then the American people say, you know, let's try it Bernie's way for a while.
Let's give it four years of Bernie because it seems like he's got some ideas.
Let's go four years with Bernie.
You know Gary you're a good guy.
You've thought about this really hard and you made a really good case and we know you're
a good guy.
We like you.
We trust you.
But we're going with Bernie now.
And we try that for a while.
And as Bernie's doing this there's other people in the government that go what about
this and he pulls back on this and he adjusts and he does that.
And then he comes, you know, four years go by and the country goes let's hear that
debate again.
Maybe it's someone else in place but whatever.
They do the debate again and they go, you know, we tried.
We don't really feel your burn.
Now feel my Johnson.
We'll have Gary Johnson take over for four years and see how that goes.
And you go back and forth and you have a discussion of what we want to do as a country between
two good, honest, hard thinking human beings.
And please let's get one of them to be a woman by the next time we do this.
Please.
And let's get someone to be of color please.
Let's just do that.
We've got plenty of people on both sides that aren't just white guys.
But for right now my example of Bernie and Gary and we go back and forth like that.
Why aren't we doing that?
Why do we have two people that all they agree on is that they should have power.
Two psychotic, power hungry, hated, unpleasant people clawing and scratching to take power
over other people's lives.
Why not two people who are actually having a discussion about what direction our country
should go in.
And by the way we're never going to go all the way Bernie.
We're never going to go all the way Gary.
But that's the discussion we have and let that go.
So that is what I think about modern politics and that's what I think about Libertarianism.
Yeah, maybe someday in the future we should go to anarcho-capitalism.
Maybe someday in the future we should go to full out socialism.
But for right now can we just do what every mother fucking American believes which is
stop giving so much money to the corporations, let the people have more control, let them
smoke dope, let them put what they want into their bodies, let them have sex with whoever
they want as long as there's consent.
And let them do that in every state.
Let them love who they want and enjoy life the way they want.
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Is that a nut position?

Looptroop Rockers "A Bad Gig" - Duration: 7:55.Hello. We are Supreme and Promoe from the Looptroop Rockers
straight out of Sweden.
We play all around the world
hip-hop music with a little bit of folk and reggae.
and we're gonna tell you about
are our worst show...our worst show was
was 10 years ago in Moscow at the Splash
Splash Moscow? Splash Russia? Splash Moscow?
because the the you know the splash
festival in Germany we played that many
times and they expanded and they were
going to do someting in Moscow so we
wanted to play and and it was Jesus and
mugs were headlining the night so just
from houghton clan together with DJ
marks from cyber sale they were the
headliner and we were on before them
before them yeah and it was pretty big
like it was a pretty big menu right yet
a lot of graffiti outside and some
alcohol brands that were sponsoring the
thing so everybody who entered the
building got free free alcohol so people
are pretty drunk it they had he's like
young girls walking around handing out
the free vodka shops so it's a pretty
everybody was pretty drunk in the crowd
and from our perspective we felt like
also everybody was kind of drunk in the
security people and everybody felt like
everybody was drunk I don't remember the
security being drunk but I remember when
we were going to go onstage the the
crowd was it was packed and they were
screaming whoo tank full
who tagged so they don't know if they
were really interested in seeing us at
all but well we got on stage and people
were just the wild and we had a good
response yeah you feel good good
response and you saw people coming up on
stage stage diving and we we we like
that we encourage it was a pretty high
stage to write without everyone was
being pretty high so people were like
coming up on stage but for some reason
security started pushing people down its
things happen before that ok i remember
pretty pretty vividly like you know when
people come on stage it's cool and we
will party with with the people but
these guys they were pulling us like I
don't know why I like they wanted some
kind of contact contact there so I I
kind of freed myself from somebody and
then I saw in the corner of my eye I saw
cosmic just flying down from stage
because somebody pulled him down and so
we got a little nervous about what was
going on and and that's when the the
guards were the security started
behaving kind of aggressively and they
started pushing people down pretty like
badly and and cosmic came back on
onstage and you know it was no no
problem but now the people got
aggressive towards the security and they
started pulling down security from stage
so if we saw the security people flying
down from he was kind of they started
fighting them basically it was like a
big fight in front of the state so we so
we stopped the music for a while just to
you know calm calm things down but
things didn't really calm down they just
continued
I just remember one guy working up to us
yeah this though it had a head of
security head of security doing the
International stop stop sizes / side so
we we only did three songs or something
and then we had to get off stage and I
remember we walked offstage and we heard
people screaming whoo tang cool tank so
we asked our translator like maybe they
even don't want to see it but then all
of a sudden there was screaming like
glue
true blue tube so well maybe it wasn't
that they didn't want to see it maybe it
was just like they were really confused
and really drunk and it turned into a
big fight and then we had to leave that
was it was the only time we ever cancel
the show during the show that was in
Moscow Russia that and we it was a big
like the disappointment in a way because
we had spent the whole day getting to
the place like you know it's all these
flights and you wake up super early in
the morning to to go somewhere even
Moscow is not that far but it was still
you know a lot of different flights and
so we pretty tired when we got there and
you know you expect to do the whole the
whole show and you only three songs and
it feels kind of strange but in a way
you know my first reaction was like no
we can't stop we have to do this we came
all the way we want to continue want to
do this but another part of me was like
had no more strength
anyway it was like the whole day and
just like fuck it tore me down so I was
like okay I felt strange because it's
the only time that that it happened that
we that we start the show and
I mean when I was thinking about this
like the worst show we ever had this is
of course the first one that I think of
but this is also the only show where it
was kind of outside of our control that
it became bad it wasn't it wasn't
because of us so it was so the feeling
is not that bad as sometimes you know
when you when it's our fault that the
show was bad
yeah but usually i don't think that
maybe sometimes the audience doesn't
really know but we can get on stage and
feel like how we didn't do we should
have done a better show yeah i mean a
lot of times I feel like the
communication between us is not good
enough or the
you know we need the when you talk
between the songs you trying to say
something intelligent it just comes out
like very unintelligent and bullshit and
that that's happening in a way it's the
worst feeling because then it's it's bad
because of us this time it was bad
because of the surrounding circumstances
so it and but i don't think i can't
recall one specific show where we fucked
up so bad but I've dreamt about it many
times about nightmare coming on stage
and not knowing the the lyrics just
standing there is it's it's a
reoccurring nightmare
yeah but to sum it up Moscow was the
worst ever
thank you for having us peace

New Year Resolution - New Year New You - 90 Day Challenge - Duration: 3:04.So last year I started with a specific goal in mind.
My new year resolution if you will, but I totally screwed up, my new resolution was
weak, but this year is going to be a completely different story, a new year revolution.
Hey man, did you know that more than 50% of Americans actually set New Years Resolutions?
New Years resolutions are great and super effective, but you have to have a plan.
Some of the more common reasons why people failed to achieve these goals is that they're
too unrealistic when setting their resolution, sometimes they set too many resolutions, they
actually failed to keep track of their progress and they just forget about them.
What we're going to do is actually focus on a plan that works.
In 2007 there was a study conducted with 3000 participants, 88% of those people actually
failed Their resolutions, 52% of them were thinking they were going to be successful
when they started, 25% of the were more successful simply because they developed a set of plans
or goals, so rather than just saying, I'm going to lose weight, they said I'm going
to lose 15 pounds, or I'm going to drop body fat percentage, they were more specific, I'm
going drop 6% body fat, and 10% were more successful because each had an accountability
system, they made their goals public, they actually told everybody about them getting
support from their friends and family.
so don't set too many goals when you set your resolutions, get your resolutions list of
no more than 3 to 5 resolutions set them, and stick to it.
So this year I decided to take some extreme measures, so I can get the extreme results
I've always wanted, so I've hired Ken and Ken is going to help me make this a reality.
Hey, so there are no shortcuts to making your goal a reality, but there are certain things
You can do to make it easier on yourself.
All you've got to remember is to take action, once you take action, you get further ahead

Get to Know Washington DC Personal Injury Lawyer Roger Johnson - Duration: 1:53.My background is I'm a University of Michigan graduate.
I came to Washington D.C. to go to law school at George Washington University, after that
I clerked for a very fine judge named George Revercomb for a year, one of the best experiences
one could ever have if they're going to be a trial lawyer because it demystifies the
court system for you when you clerk and you see all the lawyers come into the courtroom
and you see what the judge does back in chambers, it was a wonderful, wonderful experience with
a wonderful man.
Then I went to another law firm right of my clerkship for about 14 months and at the end
of that period, Joe Koonz, who is one of the senior partners there, asked Carol and I to
come with him and start a new firm and we did so and we've been, I've been doing it
for 37 years, since 1979.
I enjoy the work—I don't, I don't have any problem saying that I enjoy the work, I enjoy
the clients we represent, I like the challenges of preparing a case for trial, the number
of interesting cases that we have after being one of the top firms for so long is, it is
wonderful and it really provides you with a different challenge every single day.
The other thing I like is working with people who I worked with for 30-some years.
My assistant Betsy, I've worked with since 1979, 37 years.
Bill Lightfoot, my law partner since 1980.
Peter DePaolis, my law partner since 1980.
Susie Kelly, my wife's former assistant, still here after 36 years.
We have something in the neighborhood of eight or nine employees that have been here virtually
since we started the firm.
I consider them my friends and enjoy seeing them every day.
Anyone who would like to contact our law firm, can go to Koonz.com or simply call our main
number at (202) 659-5500.
We promise we will respond promptly.

How to Achieve 100 Goals for the Year (Free Planner Inside!) - Duration: 9:58.We all have dreams of things that we want to do in our lifetime.
But how much time do we actually dedicate to making these dreams come true?
Here's where my FAVORITE goal-setting exercise comes into play...Make a 100 Goals for the
Year List!
A 100 Goals for the Year List is exactly like how it sounds - write down 100 goals you would
like to do this year.
I like to take on this goal challenge at the beginning of January, but you can measure
a year starting at any point in time.
Don't let the timing stop you!
The point of this exercise is to finally write out exactly what you would like to experience
this year, so that you can make those dreams become a reality.
How will the 100 Goals for the Year Exercise Help Me Achieve my Bucket List?
This exercise pushes you out of your comfort zone.
It's not easy.
Every year I do this 100 Goals exercise and it takes me at least an hour to come up with 100 things
I would like to do in a year (and I love setting goals!).
But the beauty of it is that all of your 100 goals don't have to be huge or life-changing.
They just have to be things that you want to do, see, be or experience this year - regardless
of size or importance!
Last year I included some challenging goals (like relaunching of Soultiply.com),
along with some easy ones (like buying and wearing a Crystal Necklace, I really wanted one).
It reminds us not to judge our goals based on their perceived importance.
A goal is only important if you want to experience it!
Plus, there is a certain special sweetness of relishing in the small joys of life too!
Most likely you will not achieve all 100 goals.
But luckily, that isn't the main point of the exercise.
In a good year maybe I'll finish about 60 of my goals, but usually I land around 50 completed goals each year.
The purpose isn't to accomplish as many as possible (although doing so is never a bad
thing!).
The purpose is to get clear about what actions you want to take with your life this year.
And to come up with a routine that will help keep you accountable towards pursuing those goals.
That's why I've developed a free 100 Goals for the Year Planner for you to download,
which will make this process even easier.
It's a free planner and I'm completely geeking out over this planner.
I wish so bad that I would have made it years ago, it would have been so helpful!
This free planner includes an area to write down your 100 Goals, a built in tracking system to show
you your progress from month to month and as well as over time, and monthly reflection pages
to jot down your notes and feelings.
After personally doing this exercise for several years now, I've refined this Planner to be
everything you'll need to make the process fun and easy.
The planner is free for you to download in my Free Tools & Resources Library located on Soultiply.com. I'll also include a link in the description here so you can access and download it.
A 100 Goals for the Year List gives you permission to create the life that you want.
If you are anything like me, sometimes you can feel a little guilty for doing something nice for
yourself.
You juggle a million things everyday between work, home life, adult responsibilities and
obligations...you name it.
And sometimes when it comes down to what you want, it doesn't always make the cut.
But with the 100 Goals for the Year Exercise, it puts you in focus.
What do you want to experience?
What do you want to see, be, or do?
And once it's on that list, you are acknowledging the importance of that dream.
And that requires you too!
So don't feel guilty for buying tickets to the Opera, if that's on the list and it's
something you've always wanted to do.
These goals are not treats - they are the actions that you need to take to live the
life that you want to live. Plain and simple.
So, how do you do the 100 Goals for the Year Exercise?
First step is easy, download the free Planner!
I've tried so many different methods over the years.
You can write out your goals in a journal (a bullet journal would be great for this!)
or in a Word Document, but I found using this free downloadable template is the easiest
way to track your goals across the year.
It's an Excel file that you can fill in with your 100 goals, and save and track your progress
along the way.
Next, Come up with your 100 Goals.
I like to make this part of the exercise a yearly ritual. I actually look forward to it most of the time!
Maybe do something special, like pour yourself a nice glass of wine, turn on some of your favorite music and get
make it fun, get ready to day dream.
What do you envision for your year?
Go through each month - anything special you would like to do?
Own?
See?
Experience?
Accomplish?
Write down ANY ideas that come to mind.
To come up with a list of 100, you will need every idea you come up with, trust me!
Want more ideas of the types of goals that you can include in your 100 goals for the
year list?
Don't worry, I got 17 different types of goals that you can include, so there are plenty
of ideas to get the ball rolling!
I've included them all over on my website, www.Soultiply.com, I included the link here
in the description.
So no fears on what types of goals you will be able to include on your list.
Next step, setup check-ins.
Add reminders in your planner or calendar to check back in on your goal list on the last
day of each month.
During each monthly checkin, go back through your list and refamiliarize yourself with
your goals.
Believe it or not, you might forget about some of them throughout the year!
Check off which goals you've accomplished so far and which ones you are currently working
on.
Remind yourself of which ones you would like to focus on for next month.
Use the progress tracking graphs to review your progress from last month, as well as
over time.
Then, take a brief moment to jot down some reflections on your progress since last month.
What did you enjoy the most?
Did you surprise yourself?
Any difficulties or things you would like to focus on for the month ahead?
I LOVE re-reading these reflections from month to month, because they show you how far you've
grown in such a short amount of time. It's really surprising!
Repeat this process each month until the end of the year! So there will be 12 checkins total.
Here are some final tips for your 100 Goals of the Year Journey.
Try to be as specific as possible when writing your goals!
Quantify your goal whenever you can.
This means, instead of saying "I want to learn how to speak Italian" - make your goal even
more specific.
Say, "I want to have a 15 minute conversation in Italian."
You want your goal to be measureable, with a clear beginning and end.
Otherwise, how will you know once you've accomplished it?
Think to yourself, "What does success look and feel like with this goal?"
Don't bite off more than you can chew here.
You can always exceed the goal you set, if the opportunity arises.
Also, here's another lesson on why you should be specific with your goal.
Last year, I set the goal of "Hearing some sort of response from the TV show, Big Brother,
after I audition".
Now, I'm what you call a Big Brother Super Fan.
I've watched every season of the show since I was 10 years old.
Since I work from home, sometimes I like to pretend that I'm training for Big Brother
and I'm actually a houseguest on the show (Is that weird?
I'm pretty sure that's weird...)
I've auditioned for the show 3 times, and I was determined to hear a response from them
after I submitted my video audition last year.
And sure enough, one morning several days after I submitted my tape, I opened up my
email and I saw the words I had been dreaming of: "Thank you for your submission.
We've reviewed your video and would like to meet you in person."
I thought I was going to puke rainbows, I was so happy!
But then, I noticed another email that entered my inbox.
What is this?
And it read, "CORRECTION - DISREGARD MESSAGE.
Our apologies.
Due to a glitch in our system, a SPAM email was sent to all applicatants nationwide.
Please disregard that message."
Needless to say, my heart sank.
But you know what I realized when I was doing my monthly check-in for my 100 Goals for the
Year List?
I technically accomplished my goal!
See, I had made a grave mistake and said that I wanted to hear "some sort of response" from
Big Brother Casting - and I did hear from them!
So let this be a lesson to you to be specific in how you word your goals.
Lord knows I'm going to extra specific in what type of response I want to hear after
my audition this year!
I hope this exercise brings your year as much fun and excitement as it has for me.
The best thing I find about doing this exercise throughout the year is the power that it brings
me when I'm feeling down or discouraged.
We all have days where it feels like our lives are off track, and we are not where we thought
we would be by now.
It's easy to want to curl into a ball and eat mini kit kats until we feel the need to
unbottom the top button of our jeans (I mean, I don't do that...).
But instead, pull out your 100 Goals this Year Planner.
Close your eyes and pick a goal!
And then work on it.
Better yet, pick an easy one and just do it.
Let the endorphins run through you as you "check" that box that it's done.
Watch your progress rise.
And know that you got this.
You are creating your life.
You are writing your history.
And you deserve it.
What goals are you including on your list?
Please do share!
