Youtube daily report Jan 29 2017

In my last video, I talked about the Muslim ban, but it wasn't official at the time. And

now, it's official, and really bad things are happening. And I can't -- like I had another

video planned to go up today, and it just feels wrong to have it go up because, how

could I not talk about this? Like, it's -- this is so serious. Like, people are literally

-- people who are permanent residents of the United States, who went through a thorough

vetting process, who got a green card, who came here legally, who have probably lived

here for years. They have a family, children, like relationships, a job. These people are

being denied re-entry into the United States because of this law. This is not about illegal

immigration. This is not about national security. This is hurting people who are American permanent

residents. Like, I -- I cannot wrap my mind around that. These are completely innocent

people who've worked very hard. There are people in really like high-level positions

who are not being let in, like scientists or people who work for tech companies, even

people who helped the United States in the Middle East and are now being persecuted there

because of it are not allowed into the US. We've literally betrayed these people. There's

someone who was nominated for Best Foreign Language film and won't be able to come to

the Oscars. It's unbelievable to me that we are banning these people from coming back

into the country. People were literally on a plane coming here when it was signed, and

when they got here they were told they couldn't enter the country, even though they did everything

legally, and everything should be fine. Like, people who were on business trips or just

visiting family are now trapped outside of the country away from their children, away

from their spouses. Like how do you not -- how do you not empathize with that? How can you

look at these people and think that that's okay? These are real stories. This is not

made-up stuff. I'll link to some of the stories in the description. But it's so real. Like

experts have been speaking out about how this affects green card holders, and I've read

so many stories from people about what has happened to them or their family members,

and the only way any decent human could rationalize this is if they pretend those people don't

exist or that those are fake stories. But they are not. They're real, they're happening,

there's evidence for it. The ACLU is fighting to get people back in this country. I've seen

photos of lawyers working at JFK in New York to try to help people get in. It's soooo un-American,

it's so hateful, it's so divisive. These people are being banned because of the country they

are from. And those countries were chosen because they're Muslim-majority countries,

not because they've done anything particularly wrong. And the way you can know that is because out of

the 7 countries that are now banned, those countries are Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia,

Syria, Yemen, and Libya. And not a single terrorist from one of those countries has

gotten into the US and killed an American. Not one. Zero. This is not about national

security. This is about islamophobia. It's about racism. You're more likely to be killed

by a toddler with a gun. You're more likely to be killed by your own clothes. You're more

likely to be killed by falling vending machines, than you are by a Muslim terrorist. In the

last few years, right-wing white male Christian terrorists have killed more people than Muslim

terrorists in the United States. That is a fact. A fact, not an alternative fucking fact -- a real fact.

And yet the people being banned are Muslims from 7 specific countries. The few Muslim

terrorists there have been in the US have been mainly from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and

Egypt. And this ban does not affect any of those three countries -- it just doesn't.

I saw someone bring up the San Bernardino shooter, and they were like, "Do you hate

Americans? You'd let the San Bernardino shooter in?" Guess what, under Donald Trump's executive

order, the San Bernardino shooter would still be let in because he was an American citizen

born in the US, and his wife was born in Pakistan but had a green card here, which she could

still get under Donald Trump's executive order because Pakistan is not one of the countries

listed. This executive order would not have stopped the San Bernardino shooter. It would

not have stopped any of the terrorist attacks that have happened in the United States in

the last few years. And now, lawful Americans, who have been here, who have lives here, are

not being allowed back in. That's so fucking unconstitutional I cannot comprehend it. There

are protests at JFK and LAX and Dallas Fort Worth and like airports all over the place,

and I really highly encourage you to get to one of those if you are close enough because

we have to tell them that this is not acceptable. This is not okay. Like the American people

are not okay with this. We are a country of refugees, built by refugees, for refugees,

and this is not okay. This is not normal. And I'll remind you that this executive order

was issued on Holocaust Remembrance Day. The Holocaust didn't start with gas chambers;

it started with words and small actions. It was scapegoating one religious group to blame

for all the problems of a country -- and now that exact same thing is happening with Muslims,

and we're just letting it happen. People voted for this President when he said that he would

do this. And honestly, if you voted for Trump, and -- and, he told you he was doing this

Muslim ban. He told everyone. He said he was gonna do a complete and total shutdown of

Muslims entering the US. If you heard that and you still voted for him, fuck you. Fuck

you. That is not forgivable. These are Americans. Who cares what their fucking religion is.

This is clear blatant discrimination against a religious group and has nothing to do with

national security. And this is not a partisan issue. Mike Pence, the current Vice President,

tweeted over a year ago that a ban of Muslims entering the US would unconstitutional. And

now he's just like okay with? I guess what's constitutional, what's unconstitutional is

changes depending on who your President is. John McCain, the literal Republican who ran

for President a few years ago, is so against a Muslim ban. This is not like a Democrat

versus Republican thing. This is just an American thing. We should all care about this -- Democrat

or Republican or whatever -- you should be able to see that a Muslim ban is wrong and

discriminatory and does not stand for American values. I'm sure there are aspects of this

that I'm forgetting or leaving out because there are so many different stories and so

much is going on right now -- but I'm just really mad about this, and I don't know how

you can be alive right now and see the news going on in the world and not be upset about

this. Like if you are not mad, you are not paying attention. You know that really famous

quote, it's like, "First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out -- because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out -- because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me."

That's what's happening right now. They came for the Muslims. We have to defend them. It

might just be 7 countries right now, but don't kid yourself, this could be extended to any

country under the guise of "national security". All they would have to say is, "We don't trust

people from this country anymore," and ban them completely. And that's not okay. It might

only be 7 countries right now, but this could just be the start. They will come for people

of other countries, they will come for people of other ethnicities and religions. If you've

ever looked back at the Holocaust and wondered what you would've done at the beginning during

the rise of the anti-semitism, this is your time! This is where we will be going down

in history as the start of massive discrimination against Muslims. History textbooks are going

to look back on this, and I really hope that you can say that you were on the right side

of history. And the other thing is that they're cutting down the amount of refugees that we

accept by like half, and we already weren't accepting that many refugees. And they're

saying that priority goes to people from minority religions in those countries, which means

Christians. It means they're basically like using a Litmus test to determine who's Christian

and who's Muslim, and discriminating against the Muslims and only allowing the Christians

in. It's a very sneaky way of letting Christians in and not Muslims. And that's a religious

test. That's not okay. These are people coming from terrible conditions. Like war-torn countries,

so much violence that you or I cannot imagine it, and we're telling them that they're just

not allowed here anymore because of their religion. That's so fucked up. Refugees have

to be welcome here. Immigrants have to be welcome here. People of all religions have

to be welcome here. That is the country that this is. That is the country that this should

be. We have to fight back against this. Please, call your senators, call your representatives,

go to a protest if you can. Do something. Get loud, get angry. This is not acceptable.

This is not normal. My heart goes out to all the people who have been directly affected

this executive order, and I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry. I -- this is not the

country I want. I think we can be better than this. I really hope we will be better than

this, at some point. Take care of yourselves, I love you all.

After I filmed this video, the ACLU won a court case against Trump's executive order.

Federal District Court Judge Ann M. Donnelly issued a "stay", which blocked the

executive order for those who had just arrived in the US.

This is a victory, but this is not over.

Legal permanent residents are still not being allowed to board flights into the US.

Refugees are still being denied entry, and there was no ruling on the constitutionality of the executive order.

Keep. Fighting. Resist. This is not normal.

The Fosters Season 4B Cast Interviews (HD) - Duration: 6:14.

Going forward, Jude and Noah start to become more intimate.

They start to continue to take their relationship more serious and to the next level.

They start to want more from each other.

And so that terrifies Jude to the very core!

It terrifies him.

He has no idea what to do, he doesn't know what is going to happen, or if Noah knows

what to do and he doesn't.

He doesn't want to seem under-experienced.

So he's having like an anxiety attack about moving forward.

But he really wants to do that and be with Noah.

So the 4B season premiere picks up where it last left off, at Bay Fest.

Callie has just gotten in the car with a suspected murderer.

Jesus just got knocked out by Nick.

And I am just walking around aimlessly on pills. (laughs)

A lot has gone down for this whole family,

especially in this one day.

It's something that Marianna has kind of been living with - in fear of this whole season.

So it's all kind of come to reality.

Because of her decisions, Jesus is in the hospital and Callie is put in danger.

So that's a lot of weight already put on to what she already has put on.

Through the season she's gonna kind of deal with that and the underlying issues as to why she makes

the decisions that she does.

It was extremely dramatic because Jesus was just beginning to be okay.

And then obviously he gets hit.

So there's going to be some serious repercussions from that which are going to affect the entire

family, Lena probably especially.

The whole family is just kind of in a tailspin from that event.

Because of that event, some other things go under the rug a bit.

Like what's going on with Callie, because she doesn't wanna be adding to the fray of

all of our issues with Jesus.

So, a lot going on.

10 Awkward Fails Streamed Live by Mistake - Duration: 8:25.

10 Awkward Moments Streamed Live by Mistake

Sure, we've all done something embarrassing before, most of us on multiple occasions.

We get into fights for the wrong reasons, say things we regret, and write awkward love

letters or bad fan fiction.

It's a part of being human.

But thanks to the magic of the internet, the mistakes that we used to be able to quietly

live down can now be preserved forever, for the entertainment of the masses.

We're not a hundred percent sure why it's so fascinating to see other people at their

most awkward, but it sure is.

So here, submitted for everyone's enjoyment, are ten of our favorite awkward moments streamed

live by mistake.

Too Much Now, look: we don't blame the popular live

streamer KittyPlays for getting excited when one of her followers sends her a truly enormous

four-figure donation.

That kind of money is enough to make anybody jump up and down for joy!

But what makes this clip so awkward is the way she processes the overwhelming emotions

of her sudden windfall.

Over the course of several minutes, she shrieks in higher and higher tones until her voice

cracks, curls up in a ball and mutters "no, no, no" over and over again, and rolls around

on the floor, among other antics.

Don't get us wrong: it's heartwarming to know that KittyPlays has stumbled into such good

fortune.

But at the same time, her extended inability to come to grips with it quickly becomes about

as comfortable to watch as a supercut of politicians hugging each other.

Bathroom Break It's one thing to be a bit out of it after

some heavy drinking.

Alcohol is a depressant, after all.

It makes people tired and slows their response times.

But one live streamer took blackout drunk to a whole new level of awkward embarrassment

in this video clip.

After drinking on camera and then falling asleep for a while, he seems to wake up when

he gets a phone call – but it quickly becomes clear that he's not entirely lucid, as he

stands up, opens his fly, and proceeds to pee all over his own keyboard.

Thankfully, viewers can't actually see any of the explicit details – but the sound

is unmistakable, and thanks to his webcam, the shame is everlasting.

Trash Fire You'd think that 40 years of life would confer

some amount of common sense, but this streamer is living proof that age and wisdom don't

always go hand in hand.

A Japanese streamer, Yoshihiro Mazda, was a product reviewer who decided to review a

lighter for his audience.

With the camera running, Mazda tosses a lighter fluid-soaked tissue in the trash, tries to

light a match, catches the entire matchbox on fire, and throws the still-burning match

and the flaming box in two different places, making it impossible to keep an eye on both

fires at once.

The results are as predictable as they are awkward – The garbage behind him catches

while he's looking at the other flame, and things quickly spiral out of control.

Soon he tries to extinguish the trash fire, but his efforts are unsuccessful.

Reports from Japan indicate that the fire eventually spread to three apartments.

In fact, one woman eventually died in the blaze.

Let this be a lesson: if you're too awkward to know what to do with a lit match, don't

play with fire.

Cringe Fight!

People don't look good when they lose their cool.

They either come off seeming rude and unpleasant, or belligerent and aggressive.

So what could be more uncomfortable than a live streaming video with both kinds of awkwardness?

In this infamous clip, the e-sports streaming channel ESL is running a talk show-style discussion

of a Starcraft 2 tournament, when one of the hosts, Paul Chaloner, notices that someone

is about to walk in front of the camera by accident.

The host quickly warns the man not to block the camera, but the warning comes too late,

and the man walks by without realizing he's stepped in front of a live show.

It's over quickly enough, though Paul has the bright idea of calling the guy an idiot,

which makes him come off as a bit of a jerk.

But that's not the end of it – after hearing the insult, the screen-crosser comes right

back up to the host, leans into his face, and starts getting into it.

Paul keeps his cool, but refuses to acknowledge that he said anything rude, making the other

guy even angrier.

Between Paul's obvious discomfort and the interloper's unnecessary anger, the clip is

enough to make any viewer squirm.

Candid Camera Bjergsen is a popular competitive League of

Legends player and Twitch streamer who suffered a very awkward moment while live streaming

at his family home.

Unaware that her son's camera is on, Bjergsen's mother, who's apparently just finished with

a shower, walks past his room and stops briefly to check on him.

Unfortunately, she's in her underwear when she does so.

Of course, it's not unusual for someone to be dressed down in their own house, but Bjergsen

finds himself in an extremely awkward situation, getting embarrassed on his mother's behalf,

since a lot of people are watching and she doesn't know it.

He shoos her away and quickly pushes his door shut, but he's still clearly mortified.

At least he has a laugh about it afterward.

Accidental Exhibitionist Boys do it.

Girls do it.

Most people old enough to think about it do it at least sometimes.

But much like what we do while we're sitting on the toilet, what we do when we're feeling

frisky is something most of us keep strictly private.

So we can only imagine the embarrassment that Twitch streamer Darksyde Phil felt when he

decided to limber up for his daily streaming session with a quick... uh, massage, and only

realized afterward that his webcam had been on the whole time.

Mercifully, nothing can be seen on camera except Phil's head, shoulders, and forearms,

but even watching those parts of him in motion is still more than enough for a viewer's imagination

to fill in the blanks.

Darksyde Phil took his embarrassment in stride, and we're glad for that.

But it's still unbearably awkward to even think about.

Hardware Fail Twitch user Silent Sentry, like many Twitch

gamers, has been known to use silly gimmicks to encourage donations.

At the time of this awkward moment, his gimmick was putting on a horse-head mask and spinning

around a stripper pole beside his chair.

It sounds embarrassing, but since Silent Sentry was doing it on purpose, it was all in good

fun.

However, the gimmick – and Silent Sentry- soon fell flat when he jumped up in his horse

mask for a quick spin around the pole, and the pole came loose, crashing into his gaming

rig and cutting short the festivities.

Maybe next time, he'll spend some of the attention he gives his fans on doing a better job installing

his props.

Epic Freak-out Outlast isn't a game for the faint of heart.

It's a horror title full of dark spaces, creepy rooms, and some of the most startling jump

scares in the genre.

Many a streamer has been laid low by the sudden shock as a ghoulish horror pops up seemingly

from nowhere in the pitch darkness and viciously attacks them.

And let's be honest: if you've played Outlast, you know this monster attack is such a good

scare that anybody would jump.

Some people might even yell.

But one man went overboard into straight-up awkward territory when his character was ambushed,

flailing wildly before jumping completely free of his chair and screaming "what is

that?!" at his computer.

Dude, it's a horror game.

What did you expect?

School's In Session Nobody gets along with their folks a hundred

percent of the time.

But – much like yelling at children in the grocery store – it's bad form to disrespect

one's parents in public view, especially when the parent in question is clearly on the right

side of the fight.

That's what makes this clip of the Twitch streamer Rexy so incredibly awkward.

Rexy has told his mother that he's too sick to go to school, but he's actually just making

up an excuse to get more time to sit at home and stream games.

Needless to say, mom quickly discovers what he's up to and schools him all on her own,

threatening to rip all the wires out of his computer if he doesn't get right back into

bed.

What makes this exchange even worse is that Rexy fights back despite having no good excuse,

coming across as lazy, petulant and disrespectful.

Ouch, dude.

Not a good look.

Native American For those who don't know, Poe's Law is a truism

that states that it's impossible to make an online parody that at least some people won't

think is serious.

In other words, on the internet, it's really hard to tell when someone's joking, unless

they come right out and say they are.

That brings us to Twitch streamer AshleyMarieL, whose replies to viewer questions seem to

prove Poe's Law.

They're so unbelievably dense that she... she must be joking... right?

Our favorite gaffe comes when someone asks her if she's Native American, and she mixes

up the term with North American, talking about how she obviously must be, because they're

playing on an "NA" server.

She goes on to make all kinds of other embarrassing mistakes, but the way she doubles down on

this one without a second thought makes it stand out as the most awkward moment of the

whole terrible exchange.

Those are ten of our favorite awkward moments streamed live by mistake.

What are yours?

Do you have one to share that's always stuck out in your mind?

10 Men You WON'T BELIEVE Exist - Duration: 7:56.

Welcome to Top10Archive!

Ya know, they say that men are simple creatures, and for the most part, that's entirely true!

But, that's not so much the topic of this video - instead, we aim to bring you 10 men

who.. well.. you won't believe exist.

You'll see where we're trying to go with it in just a minute.. we hope.

10.

Thomas Beatie Starting off this list of men you won't believe

exist is a man that, until a gender reassignment surgery, didn't exist.

In March of 2002, Beatie underwent surgery, which included a double mastectomy and areolar

reshaping, to finalize Tracy LaGondino's transformation into Thomas Beatie.

What makes Beatie's story even more extraordinary is the fact that, in 2007, through artificial

insemination, he became known as the first "Pregnant Man."

Beatie became a media sensation, went on to have two more children, and used his life

experiences to become a public speaker and advocate for the transgender community.

9.

Stan Jones If you lived through Y2K, you probably remember

the tailspin of panic some of the world went through.

Fearing the complete collapse of just about everything, people prepared for the worst

in their own way.

Libertarian Party politician Stan Jones was adamant that the crisis would lead to a lack

of antibiotics, and so to prepare his body for a disease-ridden world, he ingested a

homemade concoction of colloidal silver.

Believed to be a universal antibiotic - or a placebo, depending on who you talk to - one

side effect of the colloidal silver treatment Jones put himself on caused his skin to turn

a bluish-gray.

Worth mentioning is another sufferer of what we're calling "Papa Smurf" syndrome was the

late Paul Karason, who fell into the same colloidal silver regime as Jones and wound

up with the same effects.

8.

Gary Turner Gary Turner has a trick he'd like to show

you, but it may make your skin crawl and may not be for the squeamish.

Nicknamed Gary "Stretch" Turner, the man with the stretchy skin has a home in Norwich, England's

"Circus of Horrors", thanks to the wildly strange elasticity of his skin.

Suffering from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Turner may be dealing with weakened joints and blood

vessels, but it's his paper-thin skin that he likes to focus on and put into the spotlight.

Throughout his mind-bending act in the circus, Gary relies on a morphine patch to ease the

pain caused by his rare syndrome, which affects one in 10,000 people.

7.

Yu Zhenhuan For years, China's Yu Zhenhuan lived with

a body completely covered in hair.

From head to toe - save for patches on his face, his palms, and soles of his feet - Yu

is covered in a steady growth of hair, making him look, as many have said, like a monkey

man.

Since 2 years of age, 96% of Yu's body became covered in hair, and though the 26-year-old

went through vital years dealing with bullying and unnecessary comments, in May of 2015,

the hairy man was said to have started a regimen of laser hair removal.

In 2002, Yu was dubbed the "World's Hairiest Man" by the Guinness Book of Records and at

7-years-old starred in a feature film, Little Hairy, that was written specifically for him.

6.

Chandra Bahadur Dangi Up until his death in September of 2015, the

75-year-old from a small village outside of Kathmandu was known as being the shortest

man in the world.

In 2013, the Guinness Book of Records honored Chandra with the record of being the shortest

man at a tiny 1 foot 8 inches or 54.6 centimeters.

After being photographed with… well, we don't want to spoil our own Archive, so we'll

just say somebody else pretty remarkable…

Chandra skyrocketed to fame.

Unfortunately, age and his disorder got the best of him during a tour of the Samoa Islands.

5.

Sultan Kosen Remember that other remarkable individual

photographed with Chandra we mentioned?

That was Sultan Kosen, a man on the exact opposite end of the spectrum as the tiny man

from Nepal.

At the time of earning his Guinness Record for the tallest living man, Sultan measured

at 8 feet 2 inches or 251 centimeters, a whopping 6.5' or 196 centimeters taller than Chandra.

In 2005, Sultan took the title of tallest man from Xi Shun from China, who came in at

just over 7 feet 8 inches or 233 centimeters.

As can be expected for a man as tall as Sultan, his hands and feet measure at a large 10 inches

or 27 centimeters and 14 inches or 36 centimeters, respectively.

In March of 2012, thanks to treatment, Sultan finally stopped growing.

4.

Carlos Rodriguez Carlos "Halfy" Rodriguez may have survived

his car accident while he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol, but the permanent scar

he received will always remind him of the poor decision-making that led to the large

portion of brain and skull he's now missing.

Carlos' appearance is shocking, but the fact that he survived being thrown through his

car's windshield is even more shocking.

Though he has spoken out against drug use, Carlos is far from staying out of trouble.

In November of 2010, he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute, leading to his mug shot going

viral and his story going very public.

3.

Dede Koswara Before becoming affectionately known as "The

Tree Man", the Indonesian man Dede Koswara worked as a carpenter.

His life changed drastically when the symptoms of Lewandowsky-Lutz started to appear, covering

his body in incurable warts that left him bed-ridden until his death in January of 2016.

Dede was married and had two children before his disease crippled him, and once he was

unable to support his family, he was left by his loved ones to fend for himself.

The brave man was featured in several documentaries and remained hopeful for a cure, but passed

away before doctors could find a remedy.

2.

Rolf Buchholz In August of 2010, German native Rolf Buchholz

impressed the Guinness World Record team with his 453 individual piercings, earning himself

the record of most single-count piercings on a man.

It's not just the 158 piercings around his lips, 16 in his right ear, 15 in his left

ear, 25 in his eyebrows, and 278 genital piercings that make Rolf so unique - his body is also

covered with modifications that include horn and skin implants along his arms.

Rolf's unusual and slightly frightening appearance earned him a black mark in Dubai, which refused

him entry in 2014 as officials feared he posed a security risk and was a practitioner of

black magic.

1.

Tom Staniford Tom Staniford is what some would call a strong-minded

individual, not letting his connective tissue disorder, fixation of the ankles, low testosterone,

type-2 diabetes, hearing loss, and lipodystrophy get in the way of becoming the 2011 National

ParaCycling Circuit Race Champion.

In 2013, Staniford was diagnosed with MDP syndrome, a rare genetic condition that prevents

fatty tissue from being stored under the skin.

In 2005, the determined man purchased his first road bike and launched a lengthy career

which was almost halted by a head-on collision with a car in 2006 that left him with a fractured

eye socket, brain bleeding, a collapsed lung, cranial trauma, and further injuries.

Despite the major setback, Staniford used cycling as a sort of therapy and rehabilitation

and, not long after, organized a 60-mile charity ride to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance,

which provided him the needed airlift to the hospital.

Adidas: A Tale of Sneakers, Bazookas, and the Olympics - Duration: 8:14.

Ah, Adidas, the brand of choice for slavs across the world.

It's kind of ironic once you realize that the brand was started by a German guy named

Adolf, but hey, that's life.

What'll surprise you even more is the fact that Puma was started by the same family.

That's why, this week on Behind the Business, we'll be looking at the dramatic history

of Germany's premiere sportswear brand, Adidas.

Our story starts in the early 1920's, in the quiet Bavarian town of Herzogenaurach.

The town was a shoemaker's delight, and many of its former textile mills had been

converted into shoe workshops.

In fact, out of the town's 3500 residents, there were 112 cobblers.

One of them was 20-year-old Adolf "Adi" Dassler, the poor son of a shoemaker and a

laundry worker.

His family was too poor to give him a formal education and so he had to follow in his father's

footsteps by making shoes.

The years after World War 1, however, were some of the harshest in recent memory, and

it was hard to make a living as a cobbler.

Adi couldn't even afford a dedicated working area, and so had to do his business from the

back of his mother's laundry.

Electricity was so unreliable that Adi had to power his machines by hooking them up to

his bike and pedalling.

The materials for the shoes themselves were also expensive.

To make ends meet, Adi had to scavenge leftover military equipment from the war.

He repurposed everything he could get his hands on, from military uniforms to sacks

and vehicle tires.

Adi's first products were bedroom slippers, with rubber soles made from tires.

As an ardent sports fan, however, Adi had always wanted to make sporting shoes.

He experimented by adding small metal cleats and spikes to his footwear in the hopes of

creating something sports-worthy.

Just as Adi was starting to making a name for himself, he was joined by his brother

Rudolf in 1924.

Rudolf was two years older and had formal education, which made him the star of the

family.

He was also more experienced, having previously worked at a porcelain factory and a leather

enterprise in Nuremberg.

Rudolf was a charismatic, extroverted salesperson who was very successful in making good deals

and getting customers.

The two Dassler brothers made great partners and together they started a joint enterprise

called "die Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik".

With Adi handling production and Rudi doing the marketing, their business became very

efficient.

By 1926, their sports shoes had become popular enough to allow the Dasslers to finally move

out of their mother's laundry and to build an actual workshop.

Adi and Rudolf's father joined them at this new location and together with about a dozen

other employees, the brothers were now capable of producing up to 100 pairs of shoes every

day.

Adi was eager to expand beyond Bavaria, and to this end he took it upon himself to visit

every major sporting event he could find to get athletes to try out his footwear.

His efforts paid off and in the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam, Dassler shoes graced the feet

of many top German athletes.

Adi's shoes appeared again in the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles, this time worn by sprinter

Arthur Jonath.

Arthur managed to win several medals, proving that the Dassler's shoes were worthy of

even the best athletes.

This Olympic success gave the brand great recognition, and so Adi decided that, for

the 1936 Olympics, he'd want to sponsor nothing less than a gold-medalist.

Adi packed his best shoes and personally drove to the Olympic Village in Berlin, where he

talked to the American runner Jesse Owens a few days before the Olympics.

It's a mystery how, but Adi managed to convince Owens to wear his shoes in the competition.

When Owens ended up winning four gold medals, Adi was beyond ecstatic.

The Dassler brand continued its stellar performance in the 1930s, and to gain the government's

support Adi and Rudolf ended up joining the Nazi Party.

Unfortunately for them though, that other Adolf decided to invade Poland, and once the

war got underway demand for civilian goods plummeted.

By December 1943 Germany was starting to lose on the Eastern Front and in desperation it

began repurposing the few civilian enterprises left, among which was the Dassler business.

Their shoe factory ended up producing anti-tank weapons - the much feared "panzerschrecks".

In April 1945, however, Herzogenaurach received a healthy dose of liberty in the form of the

advancing American troops.

The Americans initially wanted to destroy the Dassler factory, but Adi's wife somehow

managed to convince the soldiers that they actually just wanted to make shoes.

Eventually, the Americans stationed near the town became one of the company's first international

clients, especially once they heard of Dassler's link to Jesse Owens.

Despite their business surviving relatively intact, World War 2 devastated the German

economy and the Dasslers had to go back to scavenging old war materials.

Sometimes workers didn't even get paid in currency, but rather through barter with items

like firewood or yarn.

Most serious of all, however, was the immense personal schism that ocurred between Adi and

Rudolf.

While the exact reason for their falling out remains a mystery, the most prominent theory

is that Rudolf thought Adi had informed on him during the war, which eventually landed

Rudolf in an Allied POW camp for several years.

Whatever the cause, World War 2 ended up causing irreversible damage to the Dasslers' relationship

and in 1948 Rudolf left the family business.

He took a large part of the workforce with him, and assumed control of what was supposed

to be a new factory building.

Thus, he founded Puma and vowed to never speak to Adi again.

The rivalry spread to the town itself, and to this day citizens of Herzogenaurach are

known as "Bent Necks" for their tendency to crane their necks to look at what shoes

other people are wearing.

The supporters of the two brands became very territorial, since each enterprise was situated

on opposite sides of the river.

Depending on their allegiance, workers claimed various bars, restaurants, and even schools.

Adi renamed his share of the enterprise to Adidas and focused on technical innovations

and sponsorships.

He would end up revolutionizing shoe designs for a variety of sports while giving away

his best creations to star athletes and Olympians.

Adidas made their big break in the US during the 1950's, and over time their fame trickled

down from professional sports into everyday life.

Puma was also doing well, but the Dassler brothers continued to hate each other with

a passion.

Their feud would haunt them to their graves, and today each brother is buried at an opposite

side of the Herzogenaurach cemetery.

Adi died in 1978, and that's when Adidas finally started to lose some of its steam.

They lost ground in North America to upstarts like Nike and Reebok, and in 1989 they were

forced into bankruptcy after losing nearly $80 million.

Ownership of the company passed through several French businessmen until 1993, when Robert

Louis-Dreyfus managed to restore the brand by moving production to Asia.

Under his guidance, Adidas staged a dramatic reappearance in the US in the late 1990's,

despite stiff competition.

Since then, their sales have been steadily rising and they've acquired several other

brands, most notably Reebok in 2005.

Recently they've taken notice of the growing role of technology in sports and in 2015 they

made a landmark acquisition by buying the fitness tech company Runtastic for $240 million.

Despite the fair amount of twists and turns in their rise to fortune, Adidas has definitely

secured its place as one of the great German enterprises of the modern age.

How to Draw Zombie Piggy | Plants vs Zombies - Duration: 7:22.

Hey everyone and welcome to the club. today i'll

be showing you how to draw a Zombie Piggy

from Plants vs Zombies. Lets start with the

eyes we draw a circle from starting to

the top around the bottom and then back

up to the top in the middle of this Iran

draw a little pupil a little tiny circle

in the middle from here start with the

side wrong little I day on the left side

skirt underneath the eye

move over to the left and draw on the

bridge of the news starting left that

would occur across the top towards the

side and we connect these two points

with the curve we're going to round up

the end start by grabbing at the end and

connect it with a curve going along the

bottom let's add it to an offshore on

this side here and start by drawing

curve on the inside of an optional now

you point the critical outward going out

and then up we're gonna give an optical

thickness so in here to start the top

and just draw a curve for naturalness

that's almost like an oval in an angle

this way started going to top circle

around back up to the top I'm going to

ask the thickness up here will draw

another curve this color inside the

natural in black at the top of now i'm

going to draw the note great show up

here on the left side we're going to

curve over and in towards the eye from

the bottom of us now going to curl up

the side of the mount starting on the

right side of its not going to pop over

4 carats going to draw a straight line

to get down there in some key so just

above this line and John shoes lines

going up will connect it with a straight

line across will draw one more to that

the top here so angling to line out

coming out this way we'll connect them

with a straight line now the people on

the front of pointing downwards

starting underneath here got two

straight lines connected with a straight

line along the bottom and we'll continue

this

along the bottom of the mouth just gonna

need this now we're going to draw one

more on the end tiny one right here

let's work our way down to the bottom of

the body from underneath this particular

curve the bottom of the chin going

across this way just down here come down

and go over to write about their from

here I'm going to draw in the front leg

to overlap this line for the curve like

coming down and we round up the chip and

pull it back out a little wider and come

up

let's separate the hook so right here

we've got a little curve at the bottom

and then regimental draw the slip

let's continue along the bottom of the

body so the chin overlaps the body milk

we're going to draw the bottom of the

double here starting here or curve down

behind the arm will continue up right

about there from here to draw on the

hind leg to draw a big circle across

like this study of the top curve around

and then back just gonna close up that

gap a little bit there are drawing the

bottom of the hook down here will curve

down and we'll pull it up along the side

like that separates the hook right here

we'll go on a curve and then I'll slit

in the middle withdraw his back leg just

back if it's going to the tip of that

foot back here looks like that and then

we'll just split the hook

let's work our way up to the top of the

head so what the front of the snap right

here love the bridge Whitaker up and

over the I hear started here comes up

now we're aiming above it I over here

trying to write about their from here

until they're the ear on top we're just

going to intersect in line with a little

curve like that will overlap this line

with a curve that goes across the top

now let's go into the front of the year

so here we are in the office direction

just up here we go straight across with

a line now going to pull it in towards

the back of the head

this is going to come all the way back

to write about their let's take this

point here and curve the back of the

inner part of the year occurring down

that open frontier we're going to

duplicate the lines just behind it right

here now we can expect with two points

with the curve but in the middle which

is draw a little interview details

occurring across him for leaving a

little job here from this point want to

curl up and then from this side want to

come up to a point

this every year in the back and take

this and just duplicated on the back

here we're going to start by drawing

occurred from here curve around we take

that point curve back in behind the head

to get a little bit thicker and gets in

behind the head now in the back of the

years old not taking up so we just make

her back to draw a little curved notch

and a half circle and we'll just tuck

that in behind the head

this drawing on the backside eyeballs

we're going to take happened I just

drawn by the head finding out the top

four out and told us in behind us now we

can draw the people just on the edge of

the I they're going to add a few

forehead wrinkle so the middle went down

and then up over the eye and then up

here with strong it'll hurt like that

but a few little hairs along the top up

here you can go a little wiggle to draw

another one up here on the top of this i

wish we got curve that goes out if

you're going to bring the body down and

then around to the back of this leg can

imagine the crew of the top of the head

continue here we drove down now going to

serve in the opposite direction for me

up now we're going to round up behind

going in behind that late to turn around

in behind that leg there

it had a tail back here so right up here

comes up now we're gonna stick it up as

they come back in towards the body like

that lets out a few little spots so up

here i'm going to draw it with a random

sort of shape to draw a small one up

here and then we're going to draw big

wiggle up here for another one up in the

back your tiny little dot down here

whereas the slobber coming down between

these two teeth so right here we come

down and pull it back up come back down

further and that up and then we'll do a

little

final curve going up like that when a

few more hair to the back here a little

tiny things like that that a few little

mud stains on the back down here draw

the way back on the cross like this will

add a few spots like that on the front

part here draw the way that goes across

the front of the legs the back down here

a little squiggly mind so we'll start at

the bottom here and that is pretty much

it

there we have it there's a Zombie Piggy

from plants vs zombies i hope you

enjoyed the lesson thanks for watching

it will be again soon.

10 One-handed Instruments - Duration: 3:46.

Musical instruments, like people,

come in all forms, shapes, and sizes.

And whether you lost your arm in the war

or just can't put down that sandwich

here are 10 instruments that can be played with one hand.

At home in genres from jazz to classical, mariachi to polka, the trumpet is an instrument

ready-made for one-handed playing.

The trumpet, sold in both left and right handed varieties only has three buttons, called valves,

played with the dominant hand while the non-dominant hand merely supports.

The tuning slide, can easily be replaced by a fourth valve on the dominant side, or done

away with all together.

Two hands, one hand, or no hands, this versatile instrument is a favorite among jazz and folk

musicians.

Playing techniques are extremely varied with one-handed styles being fairly common.

Sound is primarily made by passing air through the instrument, vibrating the small reeds

inside.

Rick Allen of Def Leppard, Victor Moulton of The Barbarians, and many more have proven

that one handed drumming is here to stay.

Though typically played using both hands and both feet, with the addition of a few foot

pedals and some adjustments in technique, many one-handed drummers have had great success.

A popular instrument in video game land, this vessel flute is small, light, and typically

has 8-9 key holes.

But, the pendant ocarina, invented by John Taylor in the 1960's, can play a full octave

with only 4 finger holes.

Cultures all throughout Europe, the Americas, and Asia have all made variations on this

beautiful wind instrument.

You are no doubt familiar with this slippery instrument, but the slide trombones' cousin,

the valve trombone has a long history of many types of performance.

Most often seen in jazz bands and marching bands, the valve trombone is in the same key

as the slide version, but with a slightly darker tone and more technical finesse

this instrument is native to many different cultures around the world.

From the Andes to Greece, pan pipes can be heard in a variety of styles.

With no finger holes or pesky strings to worry about, the pan pipes change pitch by simply

blowing into one of the 8-10 pipes of different pitches.

Now I know what you're thinking, piano is definitely a two-handed instrument.

But tell that to Austrian pianist Paul Wittgenstein who lost his right arm during world war one.

On returning home, he didn't give up his passion for music but instead dedicated his

studies to etudes for left hand and commissioned the best-known composers of the day to write

for him.

Benjamin Britten, Paul Hindemith, Alexandre Tansman, Sergei Prokofiev, Franz Schmidt,

Richard Strauss and Maurice Ravel wrote pieces for him

the unmistakable sound of the didgeridoo can be heard all over the world.

From its native Australia, the didgeridoo has captivated audience that fall in love

with its pulsing, deep, and multifaceted tones.

With no keys or finger holes, no hands are needed at all.

Instead, the notes and rhythm of didgeridoo are controlled completely with the mouth.

another keyless instrument, the bugle.

Want to wake up your neighbors in style?

Love trumpet but hate all those pesky buttons?

Want portability and affordability?

Then this one-handed instrument is for you you didn't hear wrong, the saxophone is

now a one handed instrument!

Wanting to share music with people of all kinds, a select few instrument manufacturers

are now creating one-handed saxophones.

The keys are re-arranged in different rows and with various levers to allow any combination

of notes to be performed.

How to deal with FAILURE and BAD GRADES in college | Motivation - Duration: 3:24.

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my channel! In this video I want to talk with you about how to deal with failures and low grades.

When I fail I feel very stupid and ashamed and I start thinking

"on no my life is a totally failure

I can't have a second chance to demonstrate my value,

I will never finish college, I will be stuck in here forever, nobody will hire someone like me"

"oh c'mon, that's not the end of the world!"

That's not the end of the world?!

That's not the end of the world?!

I failed don't you get it?? I failed! I studied everyday for what?

Ok guys it's true, it is not the end of the world to get a bad grade or fail an exam. Remember that grades are just numbers or letters

and they are a reflection on how much time we have dedicated to study that subject and it doesn't mean that we are stupid

or that we don't worth enough!

Failures are the result of mistakes that we made during the study session, so don't get annoyed!

It's ok to feel sad but then you have to go on

and you have to identify the causes of the failure.

So ask to yourself: "where did I get wrong? Was my schedule practicable?

Did I respect it? Did I completely understand the subjects? Did I have some gaps? "

You can take one day for yourself and unload your negative emotions,

for example you can watch your favourite movie to cheer you up.

But the day after restart.

Write a practicable schedule, study in a quiet place for example the library,

study with a study buddy

for example, on youtube there's a girl, her name is Fliss, she's an amazing girl and she studies for 8 uninterrupted hours!

and if you're interested I will leave the link of her channel in the description box

Don't feel embarrassed to ask for help!

Asking for help demonstrates that you are smart, responsible, you want to success

if you've got some gaps ask directly to your teacher some explanation,

because he or she can reassure you about the exam and can suggests you about what kind of topic you should dedicate more attention and what no.

Also keep motivate yourself everyday until the day of the exam

and go on thinking that you did once wrong but you learnt from your mistakes

and you're ready for the next exam and this time you will not fail! Mh-mh!

search a motivational quote and stick it on your computer, on your wall or in your pen holder (like I did in this video)

so in this way you're sure to see it everytime you study!

That's it for this video

I hope you have enjoyed it!

Thank you for watching, I will see you next week, bye!

you looks so worried

with people's eyes

confused in your mind

let it blow in the wind

still, you look worried

about the days long gone

find a way to fade away

but it's doesn't seem so easy

don't be worried

there are many ways

don't be worried

trust your feelings

frankly,

I sometimes didn't

but I'm glad

to have enjoyed those times

so, there's no need to care,

about the illusion of good or bad

just observe mortality

melting time

don't be worried

there are many ways

don't be worried

trust your feelings

don't be worried

there are many ways

don't be worried

trust your feelings
