Youtube daily report Jan 25 2017

I've reviewed the X-rays.

There are fragmentation wounds on the left clavicle

scapula and femur.

I've seen fracturing like this before.

There appears to be shrapnel residue.

IED?

It could be, which means this guy might be former military.

There are multiple signs of trauma to the body.

All are consistent with battle.

This is unusual.

Both prepatellar bursa are swollen.

Doesn't both mean it's housemaid's knee?

I don't think this guy was a housemaid.

The condition arises from extensive kneeling.

It is most common in manual laborers.

Well I've also heard of it in the devoutly religious--

nuns, monks, priests.

Not many priests have seen combat.

What's wrong?

I need to see the ossicles of the inner ear.

Magnify them.

There are fractures on the stapes.

They've remodeled some time ago.

14 Years.

How can you be so precise?

Because Booth has similar fractures.

I need to see your reconstruction.

I'm nowhere near done.

Please.

OK.

Can you fill in the hair?

Yeah, what color?

Black. it will be back.

Longer.

The eyes are blue.

The nose, can you broaden the alar side walls?

Wait. Isn't that--

That's Aldo Clemens.

Who's Aldo Clemens?

He married Booth and Brennan.

He was also the chaplain of Booth's army unit.

Booth said that when he was in trouble, Aldo saved him.

He owed Aldo his life.

UFOs Meeting the Air Ministry - Duration: 5:57.

UFOs: Meeting the Air Ministry.

Sometimes, and purely due to the passage of time, intriguing UFO-themed events and situations

get lost and/or forgotten.

A perfect example of this is the strange affair of David Wightman and John Pitt.

Back in the 1950s, they were invited to visit the offices of the London, England-based Air

Ministry to discuss the matter of how the government and the military addressed the

UFO controversy.

David Wightman was the editor of a magazine titled Uranus.

Given that Wightman had been carefully studying the response of the British military to UFO

encounters, in April 1956 he penned a letter to the Air Ministry and requested a meeting

to discuss the subject.

Documentation that has surfaced under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act has

shown that for the most part the Air Ministry and, later, the Ministry of Defense, had no

love for those in the UFO research community and preferred to keep them at arms length.

Wightman was, therefore, very pleasantly surprised when an Air Ministry official got back to

him in quick time and invited him to speak with an official of the Ministry, on the subject

of UFOs.

For the purpose of the interview, Wightman arranged to meet a colleague, the aforementioned

John Pitt, on the Air Ministry steps.

This done, the pair proceeded into the building and were duly escorted up several floors to

the office. Both men were greeted cordially, but ultimately

learned little of substance.

During the course of what turned out to be a two-hour-long interview, Wightman and Pitt

raised a number of issues, including the highly significant 1954 UFO sighting of a British

Royal Air Force pilot named James Salandin.

On October 14, 1954, Salandin had a notable encounter while flying over Essex, England

in a Gloster Meteor aircraft.

Neither Wightman nor Pitt was impressed when the man from the ministry said he knew nothing

of the case or of Salandin.

Wightman and Pitt were also informed that the Air Ministry did not liaise with other

countries on the saucer problem. This is simply not true.

Thanks to FOIA provisions, we know that there was liaison, and particularly so during a

September 1952 NATO exercise called Mainbrace throughout which there were numerous UFO

encounters.

They were encounters that led British authorities to approach Pentagon staff for their thoughts

on what was afoot.

The interview was not without its moments, however, as Wightman recalled in the pages

of the June 1956 issue of Uranus.

He wrote: We tried two more sightings and the pattern changed somewhat.

Answers we got, but we were told we mustnt repeat them let alone print the information

we had been given.

This was because the answers contained secret material.

The quotation regarding the Official Secrets Act was duly recited and there the matter

ended.

Six months later, Wightman decided to reveal further data gleaned during the course of

the interview.

The Air Ministry had apparently solved at least two incidents brought to its attention

in 1955.

One such incident occurred on March 24, 1955, when a brightly lit object was seen in the

skies of Britain by numerous people, including a number of RAF pilots.

The official verdict was that the object was a meteor.

That may very well have been the case; however, there is an issue with the story of how such

a conclusion was reached.

Wightman and Pitt were told that Air Ministry staff consulted with personnel from the Greenwich

Observatory and it was they who confirmed the meteor explanation.

Not entirely satisfied, Wightman approached Greenwich himself.

He got a written reply that was at extreme odds with the Air Ministrys position.

The letter from Greenwich read: We had some enquiries at the time concerning an apparition

in March of last year, but we were not able to comment or confirm as no observations of

the object were made here. The second incident was that which became

known as the Skymaster encounter. In May 1955, a cigar-shaped UFO, with a color

that resembled polished aluminum, was sighted by the pilot of a Skymaster aircraft flying

between Dusfold and Epsom.

It flashed past under the nose of our aircraft at a terrific speed, said Radio Officer

J.O.

Almeida.

Oh yes, we did investigate this incident, Wightman and Pitt were told.

We are quite satisfied it was a long toy balloon.

What conclusion did the two researchers come to following the interview?

little or no satisfaction was gained from a discussion which lasted over two hours

long toy balloons and meteors were the order of the day.

The report, which did appear in this magazine was purposefully mild; a much more critical

write-up would have been a truer representation of both John Pitts and your editors

reactions.

Without Filmmaking, Life Would Be Difficult For Me by Asghar Farhadi of THE SALESMAN - Duration: 7:34.

Film Courage: Asghar, is it true that you view screenwriting almost like a math equation?

You piece parts together?

What is your process for screenwriting?

Asghar Farhadi (via translator):  The thing that might interest  you and that I'll

explain to you is that when I start [writing] I am writing without any kind of calculation,

any kind of architectural overview.

It seems when you actually see the film, that I've begun with the puzzle pieces that I

keep moving around until I find the final shape but it's truly

the opposite.

Once I've written a first draft summary, it's only then that I begin to correct and

to change the puzzle pieces in a conscious manner.

Meaning I write in the first stage with my heart and the rest of it with my mind.

Film Courage:  You have many people waiting for your movies.

Do you ever feel a pressure or what are your thoughts on an audience that can be fickle

at times?

I know you've said previously that awards, although they're nice and complimentary

toward your work, are not the only reason that you make films.

Asghar Farhadi (via translator):  As I've stated before these events allow the audiences

to become more familiar with the language of my films and (for a greater number of them)

to see my films.

What I don't like is that they go see the film to see me more than to see the film and

where it is strong and where it might not be strong.

Film Courage:  How do you feel about your films being framed in a cultural view instead

of a mere thought of just stories about relationships, about people?

So when you make a movie from a Western standpoint, it's seen from a cultural view with some

sort of statement when it's more about human beings interacting?

Asghar Farhadi (via translator):  It

really depends on the viewer and what their preference is and what angle they look at

the film from.

It's possible that some viewers in a far away city may see the film and no cultural

aspect is important to them.

They are just interested in seeing these characters and where they're going.

However, as this is a realistic film and it is made in a society and the characteristics

of that society are reflected in and can be found in the film.

Film Courage:  I know as a teenager (in the 1980's) you were involved in a cinema society.

What would you advise to a young, Iranian filmmaker today who wants to make movies?

Asghar Farhadi (via translator):  I've always refrained from giving specific advice

to try and guide someone because the advice could in fact lead them the wrong way.

But the one thing I can say is to tap into their unconscious to make their films, rather

than their conscious mind to start with.

We all have this incredible wealth that is our unconscious and over time it some how

has been veiled and sunk to some depth that we can't access it, but if we could access

it there are unexpected and wonderful things there.

Film Courage:  Going back to those early days of the cinema society, what was your

goal in terms of making movies?

I think it was an Eastern European film you saw that really changed things for you, maybe?

But what did you want to say with film and what was your goal in making them?

Asghar Farhadi (via translator):  There's a number of things.

The one thing is that I really derive great pleasure from filmmaking and if I were not

able to do this, life would be difficult

for me.

The other thing that is important and perhaps has become even more so recently, is for me

to address questions I have in my films and then in the course of the ensuing discussions

learn and grow.

Film Courage:  Excellent.

Thank you.

Asghar Farhadi:  You're welcome.

Thank you.

This... after the White House pledged to defend "international territories" in the strategic

waters.

Take a look.

"It's a question of if those islands are in fact in international waters and not part

China firmly upholds its territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests in the South

China Sea and insists on solving relevant South China Sea disputes peacefully through

talks with countries directly involved.

the U.S. side to respect fact and speak and act with caution so as not to impair peace

In response, Seoul deployed an additional Aegis destroyer to the East Sea to better

detect a possible test.

Kim Hyun-bin has the latest on the defense front.

U.S.-based monitoring website 38 North said that recent satellite imagery shows...

Pyongyang might be preparing for an intercontinental ballistic missile launch off its east coast.

The article written by Joseph Bermudez says the pictures show that the regime is re-grading

roads at the Kalma missile test site and paving them with gravel,... which means it's making

improvements to launch a missile that's heavier than its Musudan intermediate-range ballistic

missile.

North Korea carried out at least four Musudan tests from the same site last year.

South Korea's defense ministry says that it is keeping a close eye on the regime.

"South Korea and the U.S. are looking out for possible ballistic missile provocations

from the North.

North Korea conducted several missile tests on the site last year and currently seems

to be maintaining its existing facilities."

South Korea dispatched to the East Sea... an additional Aegis destroyer, which has a

radar range of up to two thousand kilometers.

" A South Korean military official says that the U.S. and Japan have also deployed Aegis

destroyers to the same area to better detect any missile launches."

U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis has been emphasizing the importance of alliances

for America's defense.

According to U.S. Forces Korea on Tuesday, a message he sent to the Pentagon and American

troops, touched on how a country without friends cannot be safe... and stressed the importance

of strengthening ties with allies by working closely with the State Department.

His message comes amid concerns the South Korea-U.S. alliance could look different under

the Trump administration's "America First" policy.

While speaking with the Secretary-General of NATO, Mattis stressed that Washington's

commitment to the alliance is unshakable.

President Trump resurrects Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines - Duration: 1:06.

U.S. President Donald Trump has enraged climate change activists and a Native American group

by putting pen to paper on executive orders intended to revive two controversial oil pipeline

projects.

President Trump said the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines had his backing,... subject

to renegotiated terms and conditions that include American steel being used.

Greenpeace said Trump should focus his efforts on the clean energy sector where America's

future lives.

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe called the decision on the Dakota Access pipeline a violation

of "law and tribal treaties", and vowed to take legal action.

The proposed route of the pipeline crosses beneath a lake that provides drinking water

to Native Americans.

Keystone,... which would carry crude from Canada to Texas, was halted in 2015.

The U.S. Army decided last year to look into other routes for the Dakota pipeline due to

protests by Native Americans.

Trump pulls U.S. out of TPP trade deal - Duration: 2:04.

U.S. President Donald Trump's first work week began with a flurry of executive orders, including

one to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

So how could this affect the bilateral free trade deal Korea has with the United States?

Kim Hye-sung explains.

It was a campaign promise put into action.

On his first official work day, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order to

formally pull the United States out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

We're going to stop the ridiculous trade deals that are taking everybody out of our country

and taking companies out of our country.

It's going to be reversed."

On the campaign trail, Trump pilloried the twelve-nation trade pact negotiated under

the Obama administration... as one that harms U.S. interests, saying that he would pull

out of the deal in his first 100 days in office.

- "The TPP represents roughly 40-percent of

world GDP.

Countries like Japan and Australia, which tried to boost their relations with the U.S.

will be hurt by Trump's decision.

That's why the two countries' prime ministers said they will look for ways to save the pact

after Trump's announcement.

But Korea, which is not a party to the deal, will be affected very little."

Trump has said he will seek one-on-one trade deals that puts U.S. interests first, pledging

to renegotiate NAFTA with Meicao and Canada and leading to concerns that he may also try

to renegotiate the Korea-U.S. FTA which took effect in 2012.

- "During the campaign, Trump criticized the

Korea-U.S. FTA as killing U.S. jobs and manufacturers.

While it's too early to say whether Trump will drop the deal or renegotiate it, it could

happen.

And if he does scrap the FTA, it could cost Korea over 13 billion U.S. dollars in the

next four years due to higher tariffs."

Experts say the Korean government needs to watch the situation closely and come up with

measures to deal with the many possible scenarios.

Guillermo Hernangómez (New York Knicks) - Duration: 0:54.

I think that nowadays the best

European player in the NBA is Kristaps (Porzignis)

Ok Nowitzki, ok Gasol... But currently it's him.

Observing him everyday at practice, how long do you think it will take him

to reach the goals which the players you named before had accomplished during their careers?

Kristaps is still very young, he is 21

if we compare him to Dirk and Pau at the same age

we can see a lot of similarities

I believe that in 15 anni, when he will be 35

we can put him at the same level

of two superstars like Pau and Dirk

Kristaps has a great mentality

which combined with his special talent will take him very far

Kristaps Porzingis (New York Knicks) - Duration: 0:38.

What are the main differences between this and your rookie season?

This year I am definitely more prepared to face a very long season

There are 82 games in a little time span

it's a big effort for the body

you have to be ready and you have to rest as much as you can

to be competitive night in and night out

Do you think you can make it to the Playoffs?

We definitely aim at the Playoffs

It won't be easy, but this is our goal
