DESIGNATING TWO NEW NATIONAL MONUMENTS IN THE DESERT LANDSCAPES
TO PROTECT SOME OF THE COUNTRIES MOST IMPORTANT CULTURAL TREASURES.
THIS IS EXCELLENT NEWS.
IF YOU HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING OBAMA'S ACTIONS TO
PROTECT AND CONSERVE LAND AND WATER, THIS IS A PATTERN WE ARE SEEING MORE
OF AS HIS SECOND TERM IS COMING TO AN END.
THERE ARE A LOT OF
RIGHT-WINGERS THAT ARE UNHAPPY ESPECIALLY THE BUNDY MILITANTS WHO
ARE NOW ENRAGED.
IT IS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD NEWS.
THIS WILL PROTECT
BEARS EARS AND UTAH AND AN AREA EAST OF LAS VEGAS.

STATES.

BECAUSE THE PEOPLE LIVING IN THE STATES ACTUALLY WANT TO PROTECT

IT DOESN'T MATTER TO THEM THAT OVER 77% OF THE POPULATION
IS IN FAVOR OF THIS, THEY JUST WANT TO BE A PART OF THE
CONVERSATION.

Gingham Cane Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-031-4) - Duration: 1:21.
Well hello guys its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video, I'm going
to show you how to make a Gingham Cane.
And this is a really neat little extruded cane that you can do in lots of different
colors, and I have a few different examples here.
I have one in the Turquoise colors.
And here's the same one, only reduced and combined into a smaller pattern.
I also have it in Red and Yellow, you can do this in any colors that you like.
I've got quite a few different beads here to show you that I made with the Gingham Cane.
And I've got some cubes here, some rounds, they make great looking buttons, I've got
a little couple of little buttons here.
Here's some little charms in Red.
You can even make Lentil beads with the Gingham Cane, and it turns out quite neat.
And I've got some of these little split hearts with the Turquoise center and the cane on
the outside, so you can see that there's lots that you can do with this simple cane.

Draw Tip Tuesday - 3D alphabet - Duration: 3:49.
A while ago I made this Draw Tip Tuesday video about getting over your fear of starting a
new sketchbook, by reminding yourself that Done is better than perfect.
I got a suggestion by Larissa to do the whole alphabet of these letters, because that would
help to understand how to create the 3D effect of the shapes.
So here we go!
First of all, let's warm up - I'll be using brown paper, a Lamy Safari fountain
pen with a broad nib and Platinum Carbon ink in it, and a white Uni-ball gel pen.
I'd like to wish you a very happy new year!
May all your wishes come true and your drawing habit flourish!
For this particular kind of letter, you need very simple, one stroke letters.
Once you have those done we'll add a bit of depth to each letter.
Decide on the direction, or angle you want this to be in.
I am drawing short diagonal lines upwards - when we connect the ends, that will create
the effect as if we were looking down onto the letters.
Make sure to keep the diagonal lines parallel to each other, and then you can't really
go wrong.
Do this for all the lines that you see.
You can also play with the angle of your diagonal lines: when you draw them downwards, it'll
look like we are viewing the letters from below.
You can also play with the width of the letters, by drawing your diagonal lines longer or shorter
-as long as you keep them parallel to each other.
I feel like my line could use some more thickness, so I'll trace the lines and this gives me
the chance to correct some details here and there.
Imagine there's a spot light shining from the left onto the letters and think about
where the shadows would fall.
You can use simple hatching lines to darken these bits.
And just because white pops so nicely on brown paper, you can hatch some highlights with
white gel pen.
Of course, now that we're at it, let's add some emphasis on our message!
Now for Larissa's alphabet.
It's helpful to draw some guidelines with a ruler, or to use lined paper.
That way you know that your letters wil all be about the same size as you go.
Again, use simple letters, so that from their ends, you can pull those diagonal lines to
connect later.
Now go in there, decide on your angle, and draw diagonal lines from the ends of the letters.
make sure to keep them parallel to each other and connect them.
once you've done that, your letters have that 3d effect you're looking for.
But if you want you could add a drop shadow like I did in that 'done is better than
perfect' video, or add shading in the letters themselves.
Or both.

Hi Guys it's Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today I'm gonna show you an original
technique that I call, the Aurora Technique.
And it's named that because of the Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights, and that's
what this beautiful technique mimics.
Now, I'll show you some of the beads that I have here.
I've got two different versions, and in fact both versions were done with the same colors,
they were just put together a little differently.
And you will see here, I've got a Red version and a Blue version, and the colors are just
wonderful, they have bands that shift from one color to the next, they have little swirls
and different color combinations that are just lovely, just like the real northern lights.
I've got another bead here done with the Red version, just beautiful.
I've also got one here…this would probably be my favorite one of the whole Red set, the
way the colors just shift and mingle together, this is on a hammered bookmark, and it's just
a really beautiful little bead.
I've also done the technique on a pendant, and it's just as lovely on the front as it
is on the back.
I've also got another pendant here, and this one ended up looking a little bit like a tree
in the center here.
And what I'm gonna show you is just how super, super simple this technique is for how complicated
and beautiful it looks, I think you're really going to enjoy that.

Josh Holsey Expects "TEARS OF JOY" In Auburn Finale, Bowl Debut
NEW ORLEANS - Joshua Holsey has accomplished much in his five seasons at Auburn,
but there's one thing he hasn't done: play in a bowl game.
Holsey will play in his 43rd Auburn football game Monday night in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
"It's going to be great," Holsey said. "Nobody actually knew that I haven't played in a bowl game yet.
I can't wait. It's been one of those long rides where you've been waiting to do it, so I'm going to go out there
and smile each and every play and I'm going to play my best like I do each and every game.
I'm going to go out there and I'm just going to be happy. I've never got that opportunity to play in a bowl game,
unfortunately, but I've got my chance now and I'm going to make the best of it."
A starter in the secondary since his freshman season in 2012, Holsey missed bowl games in 2013 and 2015 recovering from knee surgeries.
He missed a bowl after the 2014 season because of his position coach's decision.
"It's all good," Holsey said. "I kind of wish I did get to play in some of those bowl games, but the Sugar Bowl will be all worth it."
Holsey and his fellow defensive backs figure to play a key Sugar Bowl role,
trying to limit an Oklahoma attack that averages 318 passing yards
and features Heisman finalists quarterback Baker Mayfield and receiver Dede Westbrook.
"This is one of those games that you dream of playing in," Holsey said.
"For a defensive back like me, this is a game that you play in that the world is watching."
Holsey, who graduated last May in public administration and is working on a master's degree in the College of Education,
might one day use the football knowledge he's acquired to educate others. Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele already refers to Holsey as "Coach."
"I'm going to tell Coach Steele he can bring me back," Holsey said. "I know the system in and out. I'll be the first one to come back
and jump straight into the DB coaching job so I'm going to tell him I'm going to put my application in tomorrow."
Holsey's coaching career will come soon enough. First, there's a date in the dome with the Sooners. One last time to put on the No. 15 jersey.
"To be here now is just a blessing for each and every one of us, especially the seniors to end with a bang would be even better,
to get that Sugar Bowl win for the program and to leave the senior legacy that we got that Sugar Bowl win," he said.
"I'm sure I might shed a few tears here and there. But it's been a fun ride. It's going to be a bunch of tears of joy."
