Youtube daily report Apr 17 2017

You've probably heard of Karl Marx.

He's remembered as the father of divisive political movements, and his name is sometimes still thrown around in American politics as a kind of slur.

But I don't want to talk about that.

I want to talk about Marx the philosopher. Marx the scholar.

In the 19th century, a time defined by radical inequality and rapid technological and political change in Europe, Marx was concerned with one question:

What does it mean to be free?

Starting from this question, Marx developed an entire theory of history.

And in doing so, he laid the foundation for the paradigm of conflict theory in sociology,

ultimately pushing the discipline to look at questions of power, inequality, and how these things can drive societal change.

[Theme Music]

If Durkheim was concerned with social solidarity, with how society hangs together, Marx was concerned with freedom.

The question that Marx asked was "how can people be free?"

Because humans aren't just naturally free.

When you think about it, we're actually incredibly constrained.

Our physical bodies have all kinds of needs we have to meet in order to survive, and they're needs that we're not really adapted to meet.

Like, if you take a hummingbird and put it in the middle of a forest somewhere, it'll just go on about its day, collecting nectar and living its life.

But if you drop a person in the middle of the woods, they'll probably starve.

Compared to other animals, Marx thought, we're incredibly poorly adapted to the natural world.

In fact, the only way for us to survive in nature is to change it, working together to remake it to fit our needs.

This is labor, he said, and we must labor cooperatively in order to survive.

As we labor, we change the world around us, and gradually free ourselves from our natural constraints.

But what Marx saw was that just as we freed ourselves from these natural constraints,

we entangled ourselves in new social constraints.

Let's go to the Thought Bubble to explore this some more.

Think about it like this.

Ten thousand years ago, basically everybody spent all day trying to get food.

In this "primitive communism," as Marx called it, people were strongly bound by natural constraints, but socially very equal.

Now compare that to the Middle Ages when, under feudalism, you have an entire class of people, the nobility, who never spent any time worrying about where their next meal would come from.

But you also have the peasantry, who still worked constantly, making food.

In fact, they spent a lot of their time making food for the nobility.

People were producing more than they needed to survive, but instead of that surplus being equally distributed,

society was set up so that some people simply didn't need to labor at all, while others had to work harder.

That's not a natural constraint anymore, that's a social one.

Working together allowed us to transcend our natural constraints, Marx argued, but the way labor is organized leads to massive inequalities.

Thanks Thought Bubble.

So, central to the question of freedom for Marx is the question of labor, how it's organized

and who it benefits, and how this organization changes over time.

This focus on labor gave rise to the perspective created by Marx and his longtime collaborator Friedrich Engels – a perspective known as historical materialism.

Historical materialism is historical because it looks at change over time, and it's materialism because it is concerned with these questions of material reality –

that is, how production is organized, and who has things like food, or money, and who doesn't.

Now, it's not that Marx didn't care about other things, like politics or religion.

But he felt that they were secondary to the production and control of resources.

And I don't mean secondary as in less important;

I mean secondary because he thought that if you wanted to understand those things, you had to understand the material reality they were based on first.

In this view, the economy – that is, the organization of labor and resources in a society

– was the foundation, and everything else – politics, culture, religion, even families

– was what Marx called the superstructure, which was built on top of material reality.

So when Marx studied history, he didn't focus on wars and power struggles between states.

Instead, he saw historical development in terms of modes of production and economic classes.

Now, "modes of production" might sound like they're about how stuff is made, but Marx understood them as stages of history.

Primitive communism, feudalism, and capitalism are all modes of production.

And modes of production are all defined by a combination of forces of production and relations of production.

Forces of production are basically the technical, scientific, and material parts of the economy

– tools, buildings, material resources, technology, and the human labor that makes them go.

In modern capitalism, the forces of production include things like factories, oil, and the internal combustion engine.

But they also include cultural or social technologies, like the idea of the assembly line and mass production.

The relations of production, meanwhile, define how people organize themselves around labor.

Do people work for wages, or does everyone produce and sell their own goods?

How does ownership or property work?

Is trade a central part of the economy?

These are all questions about the relations of production.

And these questions are important because, if you think in terms of social constraints and surplus,

the relations of production specify how the surplus is taken from the people who produce it, and who gets to decide how the surplus is used.

And, in capitalism, these relations aren't all that clear-cut.

For one thing, we don't have legally defined classes.

In feudalism, being a lord or a peasant was a legal matter.

If a peasant didn't work, their lord could legally punish them.

But under capitalism there aren't any legal rules about who labors and who doesn't.

If you skip work you don't get tossed in jail, you just get fired.

But Marx was a historical materialist, so in his view, even in feudalism, classes weren't really defined by laws,

they were actually defined by their place in the relations of production.

And when Marx looked at industrial capitalism taking shape around him, he saw two main classes:

the working class (or proletariat) and the capitalists (or the bourgeoisie).

The proletariat are defined by the fact that they don't own or control the means of production

– that is, the materials you need to use in order to labor and produce goods.

One way of thinking about the means of production is as the inanimate part – the actual, physical stuff – that makes up the forces of production.

So this includes everything from the land to stand on while you work,

to the raw materials you need, like trees, and coal, and iron ore, to the tools and machines you use.

To simplify things dramatically, the proletariat are defined by the fact that, while they work in the factories and use resources to make things, they don't own the factories or the things they make.

The bourgeoisie are defined by the fact that they do own the factories and the things that are made in them.

They control the means of production and the products that come from them.

It's this difference in who controls the means of production, Marx said, that leads to exploitation in capitalism, in the form of wage labor.

If the proletariat lack access to the means of production, he argued, then they only have one thing they can sell: their labor.

And they must sell their labor. If they don't, they starve.

Now you might argue that, hey, they're being paid, right?

Well, Marx would counter that they're only being paid enough to live on, if barely.

However, Marx would also argue that they're being paid less than the worth of what they produce.

And it is that difference – between the value of the wage and the value of what's produced – which is the source of surplus in capitalism.

You know this surplus as profit.

And the bourgeoisie get to decide what to do with the profits.

Because of this, Marx believed that the bourgeoisie will always be looking to make profits as large as possible, both by driving down wages and by driving up productivity.

And this leads to one of the big problems with capitalism: crises.

Specifically, crises of overproduction.

Other modes of production had crises, too, but they were caused by not having enough.

In capitalism, for the first time in history, there were crises of having too much.

We reached a point where the forces of production were so developed that we could produce far more than we needed.

But the vast majority of people couldn't afford to buy any of it.

And so we had crises where the economy collapsed, despite the fact that there was more than enough to go around.

Crises of overproduction are an example of what Marx saw in every mode of production:

the contradiction between the forces of production and the relations of production.

Marx understood history as a series of advances in the forces of production –

like, greater coordination among capitalists, more technological complexity, and more organizational innovation.

But eventually, he said, those advances always stall, as the forces of production run up against the limits created by the relations of production.

For example, in the early days of capitalism, the relations of production included things

like private ownership of property, competition among capitalists, and wage labor.

And these things allowed for explosive economic growth.

But eventually, these very same things became limitations on the forces of production – stuff like factories, technology, and human labor.

That's because capitalists drove wages down in pursuit of profit, and they competed with each other, leading to a lack of coordination in the economy.

So you wound up with a population that couldn't afford to buy anything, while at the same time being offered way more goods than it would ever need.

And, with the economy in shambles, there's no way for the forces to keep developing –

there's no money to invest in new factories or new technologies.

So the relations of production that created economic growth became precisely the things that caused crises.

Marx saw this as an impasse that all modes of production eventually meet.

So how do you get a society to move past it?

Marx said, the way forward was class conflict.

History is a matter of struggling classes, he said, each aligned with either the forces or relations of production.

The bourgeoisie are aligned with the relations of production, he said, because these relations are what allow them to extract surplus from the workers.

So they're quite happy with the situation as it stands.

But the proletariat want change.

They want the further development of the forces of production – of which their labor makes up a large part – and they want a complete change in the relations of production.

They want an end to exploitation and they want the surplus to benefit them.

After all, it was their labor that created the surplus.

In short, they want revolution.

And so this is Marx's model of history: a series of modes of production, composed of forces and relations of production.

These forces and relations develop together until they eventually come into conflict,

leading to a revolution by the oppressed class and the institution of a totally new set of

relations, where the workers benefit from the efforts of their labor.

Plenty of theorists followed in Marx's wake, taking his idea of historical materialism

and expanding it to better deal with some of the areas that Marx had left out.

Particularly interesting here is the work of the Italian theorist Antonio Gramsci, who wrote in the years preceding World War II.

One of the big questions implicit in Marx's theory is just how the bourgeoisie manages to stay in power so effectively.

And Gramsci answered this with the theory of hegemony.

He argued that the ruling class stays in power, in part, through hegemonic culture, a dominant set of ideas that are all-pervasive and taken for granted in a society.

While they're not necessarily right or wrong, these ideas shape everyone's understanding

of the social world, blinding us to the realities of things like economic exploitation.

But hegemonic ideas don't need to be economic ones.

They could just as easily be beliefs about gender, or race.

And this points to possibly Marx's biggest impact.

While Marx's model of history is specific to economic conflict, we can see in it the

essence of the broader sociological paradigm of conflict theory.

Conflict theory is the basic idea of looking at power dynamics and analyzing the ways in which struggles over power drive societal change,

as all kinds of groups, not just workers and owners, fight for control over resources.

Marx's ideas gave rise to a host of conflict theories in sociology, including Race-Conflict Theory, Gender-Conflict Theory, and Intersectional Theory.

These theories give us ways to understand power, control, and freedom in modern society, and we're going to be looking at them over the next couple of weeks.

But for today, you learned about Karl Marx,

historical materialism and Marx's basic perspective on history.

You also learned about modes of production, their development, and how they fit into Marx's

overall theory of historical development, along with class struggle and revolution.

And finally, we saw how Marx's ideas gave rise to Gramsci's idea of hegemony, and to conflict theories more generally.

Xayah Champion Spotlight | Gameplay - League of Legends - Duration: 5:34.

Welcome to the League of Legends Champion Spotlight

featuring Xayah, the Rebel.

Xayah's passive is Clean Cuts.

After casting an ability,

Xayah's next few basic attacks are empowered—

as indicated below her health bar.

Each empowered basic attack will pierce through

all enemies in their path, dealing reduced damage

to targets other than the one you clicked on.

They'll also leave a feather behind when they land.

We'll talk more about feathers in a bit.

When playing on the same team as her true love, Rakan,

Xayah gets a second passive: Lover's Leap

If either Xayah or Rakan is recalling,

they can sync up to return to base together

Xayah's Q is Double Daggers.

Xayah throws two blades in a line,

damaging all enemies they hit—

though, like her passive, they deal reduced damaged

for all targets beyond the first.

The blades also leave a feather where they land.

Xayah's Q and passive let her trade in lane

while staying safely behind her own minions.

After slicing up Thresh with a pair of blades,

Clean Cuts kicks in to give her opponents an extra licking.

Xayah's W is Deadly Plumage.

Xayah conjures a storm of feather blades,

increasing her attack speed and granting

bonus damage to her next few basic attacks.

If Xayah attacks an enemy champion while empowered by Deadly Plumage,

she'll gain a short burst of movement speed as well.

If Rakan is nearby when Xayah activates Deadly Plumage,

he'll also gain the ability's effects.

The best time to flaunt your Deadly Plumage

is when an enemy overextends.

When the Chain Warden whiffs a hook,

Xayah uses her W's speed boost to make him

really feel the sting the sting of embarrassment.

Xayah's E is Bladecaller.

She pulls in all nearby feathers,

each dealing damage to any enemies they strike on the way.

If a target is struck by at least three feathers, they'll be briefly rooted.

One of the Rebel's bread-and-butter combos

uses Double Daggers and a single well-aimed

auto-attack to set up Bladecaller's root.

Here, Xayah waits until the Loose Cannon steps close,

then hits her with the full Q>Auto>E combo.

Xayah's ultimate is Featherstorm.

Xayah leaps into the air, becoming briefly untargetable.

After a short delay, she hurls a storm of blades in a cone,

each of which deals damage

and leaves a feather upon landing.

Xayah may continue to move while airborne.

The cleanest Featherstorm plays abuse both its defensive and offensive power.

Here, Xayah's taking a risk by playing rough with the Rabble Rouser.

She storms her way to safety just as Jhin's W comes in,

simultaneously setting up a field

of feathers to ensure the fat man's demise.

Both Xayah and her opponents have to keep consistently

aware of where her feathers are.

When this clueless Cait tries to chill out in the middle of Xayah's feather bed,

she ends up trading some of her health for…

...nothing, actually.

That's a bad trade...

Xayah needs a little time to set up her feather traps,

so you need to keep a cool head even in hot situations.

Here Xayah makes a fatal error when fleeing from Volibear.

She uses Bladecaller with only two feathers out,

missing the snare and ensuring her own demise

With the extra wave-clear potential granted by Clean Cuts,

Double Daggers, and even Bladecaller,

Xayah's one of League's best and fastest pushing marksmen.

And when the Rebel activates Deadly Plumage,

both she and her lover turn into tower-taking monsters.

I call that killing one stone with two birds.

Xayah is great at peeling for herself

as long as you have the mechanics.

When J4 dives in, Xayah gives him a mouthful of feathers

with a perfectly-timed Featherstorm.

The immediate Bladecaller secures kill number one.

Turning her attention to Kog'maw, a slight juke to the left

ensures Bladecaller number two hits and roots her void foe.

A flyby from Rakan sets Xayah up for the kill on Kog

and then they both live happily ever–

mmmm… well they tried...

Once per fight, Xayah gets to ignore enemy spells

and set up an almost-guaranteed root.

Diving through Glacial Storm and Flash Frost,

Featherstorm followed by Bladecaller forces Janna's and Jinx's flashes.

Without any cooldowns left to defend themselves,

she and Lee team up to prove once and for all

who's the big bird on this street.

Thanks for tuning into the Xayah Champion Spotlight.

Rakan Champion Spotlight | Gameplay - League of Legends - Duration: 5:34.

Welcome to the League of Legends Champion Spotlight

featuring Rakan, the Charmer.

Rakan's passive is Fey Feathers.

His coat occasionally generates a shield, even in combat.

Rakan can reduce Fey Feathers's cooldown

by attacking and landing spells on enemy champions.

When playing on the same team as his true love, Xayah,

Rakan gets a second passive: Lover's Leap.

If either Xayah or Rakan is recalling,

they can sync up to return to base together.

Rakan's Q is Gleaming Quill

which slings an enchanted feather that damages the first enemy hit.

If it connects with an enemy champion or epic monster,

he primes the second part of the ability.

After a few seconds, or when he touches an allied champion,

Rakan heals all nearby allies.

Gleaming Quill is Rakan's primary tool

for winning quick trades in lane.

Get a poke or two in with a Quill and an auto attack,

then touch base with your ally to spread the health

Rakan's W is Grand Entrance.

He leaps forward, landing stylishly at his destination.

After a brief, dramatic pause, he flourishes,

knocking up and damaging all nearby opponents.

When it's time to pick a fight, it's best to make a Grand Entrance.

The knockup is wide enough that

you can choose which side of your opponent to land on.

Rakan's E is Battle Dance.

He leaps to an allied champion's side, giving them a shield to block damage.

He can then cast Battle Dance a second time,

even on the same target, before it goes on cooldown

If Xayah's the target of either charge,

Rakan can leap to her position from a much greater distance.

Battle Dance is often the best way to get in position for Grand Entrance.

Once you've baited out their panic flash,

use the second dance for a clean escape.

Rakan's ultimate is The Quickness, which lasts a few seconds.

While The Quickness is active,

Rakan gains bonus movement speed and

Charms and damages all enemies he touches.

He gains an additional burst of speed upon Charming his first enemy champion.

Enemies can only be afflicted once with The Quickness.

Rakan's ult is a great tool for getting out of sticky situations.

After he's gone in deep with Grand Entrance,

The Quickness lets him make a graceful exit

while leaving a trail of broken hearts in his wake.

Rakan is incredible at keying off of his teammates to make a Grand Entrance.

Battle Dance turns Lee Sin into a launch pad,

which makes for an incredibly eloquent setup

onto the opposing Jhin.

How's it feel to be on the receiving end of a beautiful death?

Rakan's got three separate mobility spells

he can enter, exit, and re-enter fights whenever he pleases.

He can't stand toe-to-toe with his opponents easily,

so Battle Dance keeps Rakan safe while Lucian

goes in for the damage

and a Grand Entrance helps grab the kill.

Once Rakan's abilities come off cooldown,

he clears a wall and makes Jhin and Xerath

get down with The Quickness.

Rakan's abilities let him get to allies fast,

but that's not always the right play.

He wanted to give Jhin a shield but instead

brought home a fresh Brand ultimate

then dashed straight into a painfully long Morgana snare.

Played a little more carefully,

the Charmer and the Virtuoso might've both made it out alive.

Rakan is truly excellent at darting in and out of combat,

even more so with Xayah in the game.

He dives in on Kog'Maw with Grand Entrance,

deals extra damage with Gleaming Quill,

then delivers a shield and heal to whichever marksman needs it more.

As the enemies chase his lover,

he makes his second entrance onto the back line,

crushing the void beast together with bae.

After Kog'Maw is felled by the most fabulous of supports,

he follows Braum into the jungle for some supportal combat.

Let's have a teamfight!

Rakan starts strong by charming every enemy in sight,

but things start to fall apart when

Xayah goes too deep into the river.

Thankfully Rakan is selfless, and chivalry is not dead,

as he dives in front of a bullet for his better half.

Thanks for tuning into the Rakan Champion Spotlight.

The Story of Lady S'theno - Patch 7.2 Follower Quest [Lore] - Duration: 7:14.

Hello everyone!

With patch 7.2 we have Maiev on the Broken shore who informs us that we need to rally

a new champion to bolster our ranks.

Upon hear this, we quickly return to our Order Hall:

Kor'vas Bloodthorn: Slayer!

We reveived an urgent message from one of our scouts on Mardum!"

"We are under attack and taking heavy losses.

Legion portals are opening up everywhere!

We need reinforcements!"

mardum has been quiet for months, but now the Legion is attacking us in force.

Perhaps they we'ren't too happy with us destroying their battle on the Broken Shore

so we better head down ourselves and save the day.

"Illidari!

We are needed on Mardum.

Move out!"

"Vandel!

We have answered your call for aid.

What has happened?"

"Kor'vas!

Slayer!

All was quiet until recently.

Suddenly Legion portals appeared and we were fighting for our lives!

Most of our scouts are missing.

" "We will find them.

And what of Lady S'theno?"

"She made a few snide comments regarding our vigilance and then left on her own.

I haven't seen her since."

Vandel is a demon hunter that played a massive roll in the Illidan novel and at the end of

the book, he was one of the few demon hunters that was able to avoid being captured by Maiev.

A lot of people expected him to show up somewhere in Legion and now it seems that they've

remembered him and placed him fighting demons on mardum.

We have our work cut out for us, we must find and help out missing scouts, we must shut

down a couple of Legion portals and we have to find Lady S'theno who's fighting Targuz

at the Forge of Corruption.

"Ah, Sslayer.

Since you are here, you may as well lend a hand."

"I could have taken him...eventually.

My thankss."

We got most of our scouts out alive and Lady S'theno seems a bit more humbled, but shutting

down the portals and taking care of the demons...it's all surprisingly easy...

Cinematic: Many ships incoming, fleet has arrived.

Uhoooooo BATTLE STATIONS

"Slayer.

We are being boarded by demon swarms!

Your presence is requested aboard the Fel Hammer!"

"Damn them!

Let's go!"

"More demonss...While I had hoped for a bit of excitement on board, thiss was not

what I had in mind."

"The Fel Hammer is OUR ship.

Time to remind the demons of this fact!"

"Slayer, we need help from those keen glaives of yours to hold off these fiends!"

"Coming, Mother!"

"They should never have gotten sso close, Malevolence.

Why did the Fel Hammer not fire on them?"

"This is no time for nasty insinuations, S'theno my dear.

They took out our weapons first thing.

If you help kill these foul creatures, we can see about making repairs!"

"Cease your bickering!

We have a ship to save!"

"We have this unwanted intrusion under control.

Do be a dear and check on Seer Akalu, won't you, slayer?"

Retake the forge room, Mother Volaz Killed,

"You will pay for imprisoning me, foul creatures!"

Together with seer Akalu, we bring Mother Volaz down and quickly make our way to the

control room to help out Jace with taking on Ar'dranath.

"Ugh!

Hideous demons!"

"Thieves!

This ship is mine!"

"Findersss keepersss!"

"Impossible!

You are...inferior..."

"We cannot hold out much longer.

We must destroy those shipss!"

"The weapons are badly damaged.

If we activate them now, they could destroy us, too...Perhaps if we divert energy from

the main engine core...

You are right, S'theno.

Either we risk it or we are dead anyway.

Slayer, we need to get to the main console upstairs!

"

"You are outmatched and outnumbered!

Having fun?

I am!"

Cinematic: FIRE ZE LASERS PEW PEW PEW, BYE BYE LEGION *zap* IMPLOSIONS and don't come

back

"The slayer remains unconscious.

I fear what will happen if –" "Oeh, that was a nasty knock on the head.

Still, our SLayer is a strong one, my dear.

Look!'

That was quite a hit we took for team and they're surprised that the fel hammer didn't

self-destruct when we fired her weapons.

We're lucky to be alive, but now repairs are in order since it's only a matter of

time before the demons strike again.

Lady S'theno took the lead on the search for parts at the Illidari camp on the broken

shore.

She sends us over to the Tomb of Sargeras together with a whole bunch of bat riders

but the Legion isn't too happy with seeing us there and shoot many of our forces out

of the sky.

"Fragile mortals.

Bow before the might of the Burning Legion!"

Luckily we're able to survive the flight in and we go around collecting stabilizing

crystals found around the tomb, we silence War'zuul the Provoker who's been yelling

for hours and been giving S'theno a terrible headache and we collect some fel energy.

The Fel hammer's weapons array is severaly damaged and dangerously low on power so we

fill up the power core by gliding around energy globes or the cheating away, using our flying

mount.

With all of that done, we're ready to repair the ship.

"I suppose I should ensure the Fel Hammer is being properly repaired.

See you there, Sslayer."

Our quick blades have proven our worth to the Illidari yet again and they'll begin

the repairs to the Fel Hammer immediately.

We cannot allow the Legion to catch us with our pants down again and on top of that, we

even get a nice toy which allows to strike a heroic pose and impress everyone around

us.

"With the SLayer to lead us, the Legion will fall!

Let us take this moment to celebrate our victory! *cheer* * cheer* Now sharpen your blades for

the battles to come!

The Illidari will prevail!"

Surprisingly it's not Vandel that becomes our new champion, instead it's Lady S'theno.

She's not one for sappy speeches, but she is grateful for us going above and beyond

to honor our pact.

She will gladly take her place by our side if we'll have her, another powerful ally

recruited to our cause and we have bolstered our strength against the Legion once more.

That is how demon hunters obtain their new champions which means we've reached the

end of the video.

Thank you very much for watching everyone, subscribe if you like my videos, leave a like

What Men Look For In A Woman (Tip #3 Will Help Big Time) - Duration: 3:34.

Hey YouTube!

In this video, I'm going to talk about what men find attractive and sexy in a woman.

I know, this topic has probably been covered to death on YouTube, but I'm going to try

and cover things that you might not have heard of yet.

So without further adieu, let's just jump right into it!

1.)

You are bold – especially with your body language.

Studies show that physical movements (which are controlled by the brain's limbic system)

are extremely important when it comes to building romantic attraction.

In fact, positive or negative body language can be enough to turn a guy on and make him

chase you, or turn a guy off no matter how hot you are.

So what is positive body language?

Well, you need to show interest in a guy physically… so don't be afraid to lean in towards him,

smile, keep strong eye contact, and touch him gently here and there.

Don't throw yourself at him or he'll get the wrong idea…but don't be afraid to

be confident with your body around him.

He'll like you for it.

2.)

You think positively.

This is a huge one for guys.

Nobody wants someone who complains about their life 24/7… and nobody enjoys being with

what is known as a 'negative nancy'.

Studies continue to show that men naturally gravitate towards women who are cheerful,

happy, and positive…why?

Because it makes them feel good, duh!

Now, that doesn't mean you can't have your down moments because everyone has them.

But do your best to look at things with a "half glass full" mindset… you'll

not only attract more men into your life, but studies show you'll also be happier

too!

3.)

Honesty!

That's right, just like we look for honesty in men, men do too.

And believe it or not, studies show that men not only view honest women as better long-term

partners, but they also feel more sexual attraction towards them as well.

So the next time you think about telling a fib, try telling the truth instead.

Your man will appreciate it.

And, by the way ladies, this isn't a complete list of things that men look for in women.

If you want to find a more exhaustive list, then head on over to CoachNorth.com and watch

the free video presentation on that website.

In it, you'll discover 3 sneaky, psychological strategies that will make that one special

man fall head over heels for you… or if you're already in a relationship, you'll

learn tactics that will prevent him from ever pulling away from you!

4.)

You have a passion.

Men don't like when women are too clingy or constantly around them.

They need space.

And the best way to give him space?

Have a passion that only YOU like to do…without him!

Whether it's reading cheesy love novels, painting, or exercising, do something that

only YOU do.

He'll think more highly of you and he'll appreciate the space.

5.)

Always be kind!

Men are drawn to naturally kind women.

One major study polled 10,000 men and asked them what they valued most in a potential

mate.

Their answer?

Kindness, of course.

But what IS kindness?

It's not just about giving gifts… it's about being considerate of your partner in

any situations.

That means not being late to dates, always being polite, and caring for your partner

when he needs it the most.

Once you master this trait, he'll be yours forever!

That's about all I have in this short video, ladies.

But if you have any questions, like always, just post them in the comments section below.

And again, if you want to learn some more amazing psychological secrets that will make

men chase you and commit to you, then simply head over to www.CoachNorth.com.

Skater Reviews Tony Hawk's Underground 2 | Best Tony Hawk Game Yet? - Duration: 12:43.

Today, we're taking a look at Tony Hawk's Underground 2.

It's got a pretty mixed reviews at the time, but how does it hold up these days?

Let's figure it out.

Welcome to Rad Rat Video.

Here on the channel, I talk about all kinds of skateboarding topics, including trick histories,

and things like game reviews.

If that sounds good to you, hit the subscribe button.

I upload a new video pretty much every day.

Going into this game, I was really expecting not to like it.

I remember not being too happy with it back when it came out, but I actually found myself

having a lot of fun with this game.

It's stupid and completely over-the-top, but it works.

After just playing Underground 1 and seeing it trying to tackle some slightly more serious

drama, it was actually refreshing to play this one and just kick back and have fun doing

stuff.

This game has the lowest metacritic score of the whole series so far - around 83, depending

on the platform.

I'm playing it on Xbox, like I always do, because I happen to have it, but I would probably

recommend the PC version.

It takes a little patching to get it to work right these days, but it's worth it because

of the mod scene.

I'll talk about that later.

There's also a PSP version, which was great back in the day.

I want to start covering handheld games soon, so I'll talk about that some other time.

It has some different levels and things, so it's not really the exact same game.

They call it a Remix.

The controls have been updated a bit since the last game.

Now, you do pressure flips by holding down the trigger instead of tapping it.

That makes more sense, especially if you think about it like you're putting pressure on

your board.

Of course, on an Xbox, that's the spin button too, so you basically can't do a pressure

flip without spinning.

Also, you can slide to a stop, which isn't really that helpful.

You can do sticker slaps too, which is used in the story sometimes, but is mostly a way

to turn around and keep your combo going.

You can also spray tags on stuff, which is a pretty big deal in the game.

Something else that's changed is the focus on vertical height.

The levels are the same size as Underground 1 if not a little bigger, but you're going

to spend a lot more time on the roofs.

You'll do spine transfers off of buildings and get tons of air, and you'll hit fans

and go flying.

The game is getting less and less realistic as things go on, but it's actually a lot

of fun, so I don't mind.

You can throw stuff, like tomatoes, and you can do Natas spins, and flips and rolls.

Also, THUG 2 introduces focus mode.

In focus mode, the game slows down, and it zooms in on your board, making it easier to

time things out.

Nothing else changes, but you can more easily tell if you have enough time to squeeze in

that extra flip trick.

It's really cool.

They also put in an option to Freak Out.

When you bail a trick, this bar comes up.

If you tap the grind button fast enough, your character will freak out and throw his board

or break it or something, and this will give you some points, but also give you some of

your special meter back.

I didn't find much use to it.

This is one example of the series constantly needing to innovate and sometimes coming up

with stuff that nobody needed.

But the biggest upgrade is the way the challenges are laid out.

If you've been following my reviews of this series, you'll know that I've been really

frustrated with the timers on everything.

If you have to get to the top of this building, it's timed.

You have to find something?

Timed.

Casual photo session?

Timed.

It drove me crazy - and Underground 2 finally fixes it.

Here's an example.

This game is kind of obsessed with tagging.

I skipped a lot of these challenges because I don't like the walking and climbing controls

very much, but you'll always have to tag over this guy's stuff.

When you start a level, you can spot one and tag it, then do a couple of other things,

then find the second one, and just keep on going from there.

It makes a lot more sense.

It's just something to keep your eyes peeled for as you play, not something that you have

to take 2 minutes and actively search for, then retry if you run out of time.

I'll talk about the way this is set up more in a second, but I have to talk about the

story mode.

And something I want to mention up front is the day/night cycle.

Time is constantly moving while you play, and at some point, the sun will go down and

lights will come on.

It's really hard to see at night, especially with the capturing setup I have.

Plus it seems like it's ALWAYS night time.

It's like winter solstice every day.

It was one of my biggest frustrations while I played, and I'm just hoping the footage

will look okay on your end.

I'm not really going to explain the story that much, because it's honestly not important.

Basically, Hawk and Bam both have teams, and you're going on a World Destruction Tour

around the world to get points to cause as much mayhem as possible.

It's basically the cartoon version of King of the Road.

Go to a city, complete challenges, meet up with secret guests, and try to get the highest

score.

The grand total of cutcenes in this game is a lot less than Underground 1, and it really

keeps things moving.

In theory, you're the same character from Underground 1, because they kidnap you from

your hometown there, and Eric Sparrow is on the other team.

It would have been cool if I could import my character here and play as her again, but

I didn't get that option.

It's not a big deal though.

The theme of the story is really ideal for a Tony Hawk game, because it removes all the

excuses.

There doesn't have to be a reason that people do anything - it's because Tony Hawk says

it's worth points.

So instead of trying to make the gameplay fit around a story idea, they just made up

whatever challenges seemed like fun.

So, some familiar challenges are back from earlier games, like doing tricks that are

called out.

This time though, you have to do it to the beat, and it's not very common.

There are also combos, but without the COMBO letters.

You start a grind on a certain obstacle, and the next one will light up until you reach

the end.

Aside from that, you're mostly destroying stuff.

Beheading the statues, flipping tables at a restaurant, arming explosives, that kind

of thing.

There's also a high score arcade in each level, which will start you on a timer.

They're incredibly easy.

There's also this interesting section of the game where you dress up as a guy to frame

him for stuff.

You make birds poop on girls on the beach, and you have to fart on construction guys.

There's always something interesting going on.

When you start a level, you're given your choice of pro that you can pick.

He will be available to switch to in the level, and he has his own list of goals.

Aside from that, there's a guest skater that you can find, and also a secret skater.

This will be someone like Benjamin Franklin in Boston, or the Grim Reaper in New Orleans.

From time to time, they'll be on some other kind of vehicle, like this tricycle thing,

or a motorized Segway.

They only have a couple of tricks each, and they don't really feel right.

You can't wallride or do a lot of other basic stuff.

It feels like playing Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure all over again.

But the good thing is that these are the only weird vehicles you'll be driving throughout

the game.

There isn't a leaf blower challenge or a car chase in every level.

That was a good call.

Switching between different characters is cool, but it kind of messes up the stat progression

in the game.

There are different characters, but as soon as you unlock them, their goals are available

for everyone.

So in theory, you can switch to everyone once, then just play the whole level as the pro,

because he has really high stats.

But then you'd never be playing as yourself, so they made the stat goals really easy.

As soon as I figured out where the list of stats was, I basically maxed my character

out right away.

It works the same way as Underground 1, but it doesn't really have that much of an effect.

The stats are completely different in classic mode.

I'm going to talk about this more in a bit.

But the scale of your stats is much much bigger than any other Tony Hawk game.

In Pro Skater 2, your base stats are enough to beat the game, but it'll get pretty hard

at the end.

If you crank a bunch of points into speed, you'll feel like you got a little faster,

but it's not that noticeable.

In THUG2, it's a huge strategy issue.

Riding switch is much much slower than regular if your stat is low, and your ollie height

and everything else changes drastically.

In most Pro Skater games, I would just max out manual and rail, then do whatever.

In this one, you have to think things through and kind of plan out how it will affect your

skater.

This is kind of a cool upgrade.

It's just kind of funny that the stats are almost meaningless in the story mode, but

incredibly important in classic mode.

So when you complete enough challenges to move on, you'll get a text on your Nokia…

Wait a minute.

That's a Motorola i860!

I used to have one of those.

It has a button on the side that will make it flip open on a spring.

It was so awesome.

But what's up with Motorola?

The Tony Hawk games have had Nokia in them for years.

Luckily, McDonald's is still around.

Whew.

Anyway, you get a text, which this phone could only do if you went 10 menus deep, and you

can go to the next level.

It doesn't matter how many points you get, because you're not going to change how the

story plays out.

So it's not like you have to ignore the text and do as many challenges as possible.

Unless you want to.

When you finish a level, you'll either be sent to another one, or you'll be faced

with a set piece of some kind - like this scene where Chad Muska steals a helicopter

and you have to do acid drops and spine transfers with it, then he crashes it and gets arrested.

In the finale of the game, you finally get to play as Bam, in case you were waiting for

that.

He decides to blow up all of Skateopia with giant fireworks.

When you get them all armed, there's a ton of slowdown.

The game was almost unplayable at this point.

I think this is about the time that the series started to outgrow the current hardware.

The next game drops down from 720p to 480 to try to fix that.

Anyway, although Bam's team is winning, he gives you the opportunity to get free points

if you can combo all the way through the burning level.

You win, and you also get to screw this guy over.

His name is Nigel Beaverhousen, and he's been filming you this whole time, and he promises

to pay your damages if he can use your footage.

But Bam switches the tapes on him, and he ends up broadcasting this.

It's happy ending for everyone, except Nigel and all the people whose lives and property

you've destroyed.

Now we can finally get back into classic mode.

This is kind of cool.

They actually thought it out and put some effort into it instead of it just being an

afterthought, which is what happens in American Wasteland.

So what you get is all of the levels from the main game, plus remakes of classic levels,

like School 1 and Philadelphia.

As you play through the game, you can choose which level to go to, which really boosts

the replayability.

The goals are what you would expect - collect SKATE, find random stuff, and so on.

They added in a high combo score too.

This mode is a lot of fun, but there are a couple of issues with the fact that it's

added on to the main game.

First is just the size of the main levels.

They're so big that it's kind of cut into sections.

The SKATE letters will all be over here, then you have to skate through a big unused portion

of the level, then the other stuff you have to find will be over here.

It makes sense why it worked out this way, but it still doesn't feel right.

One of the cool parts about this is replaying old levels.

Not only do you get to do the newer moves in them, like spine transfers here in Los

Angeles, but all the challenges are new as well.

So you have to do a roll over this gap, or in Philly, you have to collect hoagies.

And also… smack the bags?

You play through 9 levels, then you unlock the Bermuda Triangle, which is a pretty crazy

level full of aliens and crashed ships, like the one from Pro Skater 3.

All in all, I think the classic mode was a great addition to the game.

But as much as I loved the original Pro Skater games, this mode didn't really have that

same feeling for me.

As much as it doesn't really feel like an afterthought, it still kind of is.

But the fact that so many classic levels are in this game, like even the Warehouse, which

you use for training, opened up the possibility of THUG Pro on the PC.

This is a mod I've talked about a bunch of times that unlocks a ton of different levels.

It's based on Underground 2, but you can play all kinds of levels from the Tony Hawk

world.

It has an active online community, and it's pretty awesome.

I did a review of that a while back that you can check out here.

So what's the final verdict on this game?

It might not have been considered the best game when it came out, but it holds up really

well these days.

The series is starting to get some useless features, like the Freak Out and the body

flips, but the way the story mode works is really modern and it is still worth playing

these days.

I don't want to say it's my favorite game in the series, but it's a lot higher up

than I thought it would be.

You can see my original thoughts on the game in that THUG Pro review.

I had a lot of negative memories of it.

I think, back when I first played it, I didn't like it just because of where I was at in

life.

I was 16, and I was kind of over childish, cartoony type of stuff.

But that's not really fair to this game.

If you felt the same way, it might be worth another look.

Check it out.

Also, check out some of the other videos that I did recently.

I do a lot more than game reviews - I actually cover all kinds of topics from the skateboard

world.

You can see some samples of that here.

Robert Reich Trump's world is becoming increasingly dangerous, and the public is partly to blame - Duration: 5:46.

Robert Reich Trumps world is becoming increasingly dangerous, and the public is partly to blame

The starkest difference between dictatorships and democracies is that democracies are ruled

by laws, and dictatorships are ruled by dictators.

The rule of law, as its often referred to, stands for laws that emerge from a process

responsive to the majority, that are consistently applied, and are applicable to everyone regardless

of their position or power.

President Donald Trump doesnt seem to understand this. Within a matter of days, Trump has bombed

Syria and a group of fighters in eastern Afghanistan.

On April 12, Trump authorized the Pentagon to drop a 22,000-pound GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance

Air Blast Bomb (MOAB) on people described as Islamic State forces in eastern Afghanistan

near the Pakistani border.

Its the first time this bomb nicknamed the mother of all bombs, and the largest

air-dropped munition in the U.S. militarys inventory has ever been used in a combat.

Its the largest explosive device America has utilized since dropping atomic bombs on

Hiroshima and Nagasaki in World War II. (By comparison, U.S. aircraft commonly drop bombs

that weigh between 250 to 2,000 pounds.)

Why, exactly? Its not clear. And what was Trumps authority to do this? Even less

clear.

We still dont know exactly why Trump bombed Syria. He said it was because Syrias president,

Bashar al-Assad, used chemical weapons on innocent civilians, including children.

But it wasnt the first time Assad had used chemical weapons. When he did in 2013, Trump

counseled against bombing Syria in response.

And where did Trump get the authority to bomb Syria? Assad is a vicious dictator who does

terrible things to his people. But U.S. law doesnt authorize presidents to go to war

against vicious dictators who do terrible things to their people.

The Constitution leaves it up to Congress, not the president, to declare war.

In 2014, President Barack Obama began hostilities against the Islamic State, arguing that Congresss

approval of George W. Bushs wars against Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2002 provided

him sufficient to authority.

Well, maybe. But theres no way Trump can rely on Congresss approval of these wars

to bomb Syria.

And its a stretch to argue that a group claiming or alleged to be connected to ISIS,

but located in eastern Afghanistan far away from where ISIS is attempting to establish

an Islamic State, is the same as the Islamic State.

In a democracy, the rule of law means that we the people are supposed to be in charge,

through our elected representatives in Congress.

It can be a heavy responsibility. It is especially weighty when it comes to warfare, to the destruction

and annihilation of human beings.

As commander-in-chief, a president is empowered to manage the military might of the nation.

But he is not empowered to initiate warfare on his own. Thats our job.

The world according to Trump is becoming increasingly dangerous, in part because we are not doing

our job.

Learn the Nunchucks Kendama Trick - Duration: 3:50.

In this video, we are going to be learning the trick known as Nunchuck, and we are also

going to cover four of its variations.

So, Nunchuck looks like this:

Now, in order to perform this trick, you want to make sure that you are holding the tama.

The ken will be hanging freely.

The first step is to swing the ken outwards and over your dominant shoulder.

The most important part here, which will make every variation of nunchuck and nunchuck easiest

is, when it is coming around, you want to bend your knees and when it reaches the low

point, you are going to bend your knees up as you let go of the tama.

You are also going to slightly pull the tama up.

What this does, is it stalls the whole formation in air, which gives you enough time to switch

grips.

It also kind of resets the tricks to be in a basic swing trick.

So, once that comes around, you drop and you will switch into catching the ken.

As you see, with my knees bent, I am in a basic swing position.

So I will swing the tama straight up onto the base cup.

That is the basic variation.

The first variation we are going to do is swing downspike.

If you have not seen that video, make sure you check that out.

You are going to start off with a basic nunchuck with the tama in grip.

It is going to come around, and you are going to switch.

As you see, I am in position for a swing.

So I am going to swing and downspike.

Now, these other variations are going to be doing nunchuck in the ken grip.

The most important part here is to make sure that the string is on the inside of your body.

It has to stay on the inside of your body for the entire rotation because this will

allow you to set up for the swing trick.

As you see, the big cup is facing me as the tama comes around.

So what you want to do is have a really light grip on the bottom of the base cup so you

can swing the ken really easily.

You can see the string is on the inside the whole time.

So this first one is going to be Airplane.

We are going to toss it up, grab the tama, and you will see I am in a regular airplane

stance.

So I will just simply pull up and land it into an Airplane.

The second variation for this will be the 1 Up lighthouse.

So if you have not seen that video, make sure you go check that out.

You are going to start in the ken grip nunchuck, swing the tama over, pop, 1 up, onto the tama,

and you can drop in from there.

The third variation is going to be a 1 up lunar.

So again, you are going to start in the ken grip nunchuck, swing the tama over, grab it,

rotate, and it is going to land in lunar.

And those are Nunchuck and its variations.

Why is environmentalist a bad word? - Duration: 2:52.

"Obviously I'm getting the free-range kale smoothie,

I'm an environmentalist!"

Ever wonder why people make fun of environmentalists?

Well, for one thing,

we aren't always effective at tackling threats to public health

and our shared future on this planet.

We sometimes spend a lot of energy and words on things that only accomplish

a little at a time -- if anything.

Kind of like eating that kale smoothie with a fork.

Plant a tree!

Buy organic socks!

Never shower!

Make friends with a bear!

Wait, what?

Those are well-intentioned attempts to address really important problems.

But with a political administration that dismantles climate action,

"We will eliminate a clean power plan."

prioritizes oil over drinking water,

"This is with respect to the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline."

and doesn't give a damn about vulnerable communities,

"Chaos, confusion and anger

growing in the wake of president Trump's immigration ban,"

we're going to need something more effective than a fork.

Hi, it's me, Umbra, Grist's favorite advice columnist.

For years, my predecessors told you how to buy the least harmful laundry detergent

and conserve water by peeing in the shower.

Individual action still matters.

Buy those organic socks!

Pee in that shower!

But there's got to be more of an emphasis on systemic change.

So, what if we used tools like civic action, political literacy, and community-building

to attack the larger forces at work.

Things like the political support for the fossil fuel industry,

the economic forces behind deforestation,

and the lack of bear-human friendship in the world.

As anyone who's ever put together a food processor knows,

everything is easier to tackle if you break it down into parts.

No, Daniel, I pick my smoothies fresh from the forest.

And every little civic action is actually a much bigger deal than it seems --

because you can bring more people on board as you do it.

Things like:

Getting to know your public representatives!

Support your local news sources!

Getting your friends to eat less meat,

without ever talking about eating less meat!

In doing these things, you'll cure your political exhaustion,

detox all that apathy,

become more involved in your community, and -- in the end! -- create a better future.

Wow, that was so easy!

Congratulations -- you just got civically engaged!

How Smart Are Animals, Really? - Duration: 5:02.

We're always hearing about how smart certain animals are, from octopuses that solve puzzles

to birds that use tools.

And who among us hasn't wondered whether our cats are secretly much smarter than our

dogs?

But animal intelligence is actually really tricky to define -- and even harder to measure.

Like are we talking about the ability to innovate?

To do arithmetic?

To remember hiding places?

Or are we talking being able to learn from, or maybe deceive, fellow creatures?

Even if scientists can agree on what intelligence actually is, they still need to design tests

that measure these abilities objectively.

And that is not easy.

For one thing, food is usually used to motivate animals in the experiments.

But if your subjects aren't hungry, they won't always cooperate.

And if they're not all equally hungry, then your data are kinda useless.

But a few specific tests have become very popular over the years, and have been used

on a variety of species.

In one, called the pointing test, an animal is conditioned to expect food to be hidden

in a certain place.

Once they find the food, the hidden treat is moved, and a human points to the new spot.

If the animal can take the hint -- and go over to the new location -- that's supposed

to indicate the ability to understand what another animal is thinking.

After all, if you can learn new information from another animal -- like, the food isn't

where you think it is, it's over there -- then it seems like you must at least be a little

smart.

Another common experiment is the mirror test.

It's supposed to measure an animal's ability to recognize itself.

This ability, some scientists say, is an indicator of self-awareness -- suggesting that the creatures

can conceive of things like individuality and identity.

So in the mirror test, researchers put a mark on an animal's forehead and put a mirror

in front of it.

If the animal is highly self-aware -- the thinking goes -- it will realize that it's

looking at itself in the mirror, and show that by touching or rubbing the strange mark

on its face.

Dogs, as you might guess, ace the pointing test.

But they fail at the mirror test miserably, and sometimes adorably.

They usually just want to play with, or bark, at their reflections.

But does that really mean that dogs aren't aware of themselves?

Some scientists say no.

In fact, many argue that both of these tests are flawed.

After all, how relevant are pointing and mirrors to animals that don't have hands or fingers

or that don't rely on vision?

These studies also usually have really small sample sizes -- like 11 elephants in one pointing

test -- which makes it hard to compare one whole species to another.

So, in 2014, an international team of scientists decided to tackle the question of animal intelligence

more systematically.

They picked a single mental ability that they thought they could evaluate most fairly, and

then performed the same tests on more than 500 animals across 36 species.

They chose to test for self control.

That might not seem like intelligence, but being able to suppress a powerful but counterproductive

urge is an important part of making decisions, whether you're a bird or a human or an aardvark.

To measure self control, the researchers used two tests.

In one, a piece of food was moved from under one box to under another.

Animals were tested on whether they'd resist the urge to keep looking under the first box

– kind of like a pointing test, minus the pointing.

In the second test, food was placed in the middle of a clear plastic tube.

The animals then had to go around to the side to get the food, instead of just trying to

reach through the tube.

Both tasks tested animals' ability to go against their instincts to get a reward.

And the animals you generally think of as smart came out on top.

Apes outperformed birds, for instance, and dogs were somewhere in the middle.

So no shockers there.

But looking at the big picture, there were a couple of surprises.

For one thing, the scores of different species correlated with their absolute brain size.

In the past, scientists had thought that the smartest animals would be the ones that had

big brains relative to the size of their bodies.

But here, all that seemed to matter was the overall size.

And among the primates that the researchers tested, there was no link between how well

they did, and how large the groups are that their species usually lives in.

This was important, because it contradicts the idea that primate intelligence evolved

to help us deal with complex social situations.

Instead, the primates with the best self control turned out to be the ones that had the most

varied diets.

This suggested that their smarts help them keep track of a wide range of foods in the

wild, like where different fruit trees grow and when they're in season.

Of course, the study, as ambitious as it is, isn't the final word on animal intelligence.

But it does offer some clues as to why we and other animals might have evolved certain

abilities.

Bigger brains mean more neurons, and having more of them might have allowed animals to

evolve specialized networks.

Even if we haven't solved all of the mysteries of animal intelligence, we do know one thing

-- our sophisticated brains aren't as unique as we might like to think.

If you'd like to learn more about your brain and how it works, then you should totally

check out our new channel, SciShow Psych -- it's all about the workings of the human mind.

The world according to Trump is becoming increasingly dangerous, in part because we are not doing

our job.

1st murderer ever complains his punishment is "too harsh" | Genesis 4:10-24 - Duration: 5:21.

(Music Plays)

Hey everyone, I'm Rachel.

And today on Crack Your Bible, we are finally going to get to a Bible story.

Now, that is exactly what I wanted to do when I started this channel, but I had to introduce

the main characters first - kind of give you a back story about the Bible.

Because we are going to be going through the Bible chapter by chapter.

Now, for those of you who haven't seen my last videos, definitely click them.

I'm going to have a link up here but, what has happened?

Cain and Abel, went to sacrifice to God, and God did not accept Cain's sacrifice.

But he accepted Abel's sacrifice.

And Cain, his whole life he was told that he was the Messiah and that he was so fabulous

because he's the first baby ever born, so this was a humongous blow to Cain's ego.

And what does he do?

He goes out and he murders his brother Abel.

And this is where we're at in the story right now.

So, right then, God tells Cain, He's like, "hey Cain, where's your brother Abel?"

Cain says, "Why are you asking me?"

Like, "I don't know.

I'm not my brother's keeper."

This is where God is like... judgement time.

So, what God does is He tells Cain, He's like, "first of all, you're done here.

You're not going to farm the earth anymore.

You're going to be a restless wanderer.

And the plants are not going to grow for you anymore.

And your brother's blood is crying out to me to convict you of what you've done to him.

Because you murdered him."

What does Cain do?

Is he remorseful?

Is he contrite?

Is he upset about his brother?

No!

Have you ever watched any courtroom drama?

Have you ever seen any live actual court?

People aren't remorseful.

Like they'll sit stone-faced there and then all of the sudden when the judge hands down

a sentence, like life in prison or the death penalty, they're like (crying.)

All of the sudden, then they're upset.

And this is how Cain was.

Because he's like, "Oh, this is too much for me to bear.

I can't deal with this.

People are going to try to come and try to kill me!"

And it's not, you know, I'm sorry for murdering my brother.

I was wrong, I'm remorseful.

Nope.

God, don't do this.

This is too harsh for me that I'm no longer going to be able to have my job as a farmer

and people are going to try to come out and kill me.

Cain is just like most criminals today.

No remorse.

It's all about Cain.

So God puts a mark on him.

Because remember, the population is really small right now, so any death is, it's a blow

to the entire world.

So Cain goes out and he marries, obviously one of his sisters.

And he has a son named Enoch.

(And this is not the same Enoch that you're going to hear about in the Bible.

But you'll have lots of people with the same name.)

But anyway, he builds a city and then the Bible goes on to tell other people who are

born from Cain's line.

And unfortunately, sin begets sin.

And you can have epigenetics, you can have a bad seed, where you have criminals and they

give birth to more criminals.

It's just a family of criminals.

So you go down Cain's line and it comes to the story of Lamech.

And unlike what God had instituted - where marriage was between one man and one woman,

Lamech had two wives.

And, he goes home to tell his wives that he had murdered somebody.

Nobody is going to touch Lamech because, you know, nobody touched Cain because God had

put that mark on him.

So you just have this very arrogant, criminal family.

And you can see how they just completely neglect the laws of God.

They don't care about God.

They don't care about doing what's right.

It's all about pleasure for themselves.

So anyway, we are going to continue with our stories next week on Monday, but I will see

you on Wednesday and Friday when we go over our Crack Your Bible vlog.

But I would like you to like, subscribe and share and I'll see you later. Bye!

Thanks a lot ladies and I'll chat with you soon!

Napa Valley mountain AVAs with winemaker Bob Foley - Duration: 3:10.

So, Bob, we are up here on your Howell Mountain vineyard.

And you have been making wines for 40 years in Napa, both on the valley floor and on the

mountains.

What would you say are the main differences between valley floor and mountain?

Well, the obvious main difference is altitude!

We are at 2000 ft or 700 m here versus virtually sea level down there, maybe 150 ft.

The main differences are that the climate up here is a later climate for ripening and

growing fruit.

Everything starts later, ends later, so our fruit ripens in a Fall weather pattern on

the mountain.

Cooler nights, shorter days versus the valley floor where fruit ripens in the heat.

There are greater stresses built into the mountain systems so soils are more weathered,

they don't hold water.

Water perks through or runs off.

So the vines must work harder to get water and nutrition.

The struggle shifts the emphasis of their physiology into their fruiting bodies.

Nice.

And within the mountains there is also quite a lot of variation, can you give us a 101

on some of the mountains that you work on?

So I work on three, I grow grapes on three of the mountains.

Those being Howell Mountain, Mount Veeder and Atlas Peak.

They all have their own personalities.

The more southerly ones are closer to the maritime influence as opposed to the bays

- San Pablo Bay and Sassoon Bay - so it's cooler, the wines don't develop as much muscle

but they retain the acidity, which gives them nice brightness and cherry-like personality.

Up here on Howell Mountain where we are now, we are more extreme, our weather during the

ripening season gets quite cool, we are quite late but we don't have as deep of dips because

of the maritime influence which is lacking up here.

There's more of a warmth during the night up here.

So we got the most muscular, most structured Cabernets up here on Howell Mountain.

Super.

And you are a Cab man, but you are also a Merlot man.

That's right, I am.

What would you say, which is the variety that thrives most up here?

Well Cabernet obviously.

I think people have been scared off by the bad press that Merlot received ten or fifteen

years ago because it was overplanted.

It became such a popular grape that it was planted in soils that were probably more suitable

for growing asparagus!

That invites mediocrity as your bed fellow.

I've never had bad Merlot vineyards that I've been working with, I've always been working

with some great ones, and so my Merlot programs have persevered and they have prospered.

I like my Cabernet with a good steak, and I like my Merlot with a great lamb!

THANKFUL RELATIONSHIPS - Duration: 5:50.

Thank you guys for coming back to me!

Have you ever guys been to the restaurant where the waiter or waitress was real good

they did their job well, they were nice,

they knew exactly everything that was on the menu

Help you with choice!

But to be honest the food was gross there

Will you come back there just because you like the waiter or waitress?

Probably not, cause still the main goal for you to visit it is food.

Let's apply the same scenario to guys.

So you seeing this guy who's nice, who's real good

who treat you well, but still you've nothing in-common

you've nothing to talk about. He just simply not your type.

He's not the main dish

He's this restaurant which gives you great service

but doesn't bring well cooked food

If for some reasons you continue to come back there

keep on chewing even though you want to

Spit that out!

But the waiter is looking so you keep on eating!

Let's cunt how many cuisines we have

We have Indian, Greek, Russian, French, Italian

Caucasian, Georgian, Chinese, Mexican and Japanese

I'm running out of fingers

So it's a plenty of choice ha?

Or you do have just one restaurant in your city?

I heard no.

So why not to go and try something else?

Maybe in some restaurants you will like food, but won't like service

But yet at some point you're gonna find that one that brings you great food and good service

All in one. Same thing with guys!

Sorry guys that I compared you to food

You can still find your mister Big!

Who will treat you well, who will like you and whom YOU will actually like.

But if for some reasons you like when someone is staring at you when you're sitting on the toilet

or you love to stay in a ling queues,

or you love to fall asleep during the movies

So basically things that make you feel uncomfortable, annoyed and bored

Then go and see a therapist! Cause' that's wrong!

You shouldn't feel that.

And I want to stop and clarify what exactly I'm talking about

I'm not talking about the situations when

you don't like guys haircut or you don't like his clothes

Simply everything that can be changed easily

No I 'm talking about this type of relationships that I call "Thankful relationships"

I'm talking about these situations when you're telling your best friend

or to just your friend about this guy

something like that

Ow, it was a disaster we spent most part of the time sitting in silence

but he still brought me flowers

We don't really have anything in common actually

But you know he took me today from my work and brought me tea so

Ow he's sexting asking what are my plans are for this evening

I don't want to see him!

But I still have no plans so why not?

He doesn't like the Rock!

I know I'm gonna break up with him!

You know what is normal to be thankful for?

For the family who loves you, for the chance to have food and water on your table

for the chance to travel, for the chance to feel

cause these things, events, people truly makes you happy

Feel thankful for someone who likes you , who treats you well

is kind of a strange

and kind of bring us back to the topic of previous videos

when I was telling to you

Why you think that you don't deserve happiness?

Why normal attitude we perceive as something outstanding?

Let me bring you some basics

It's not normal when the guy is hitting you

it's not normal then guy isn't interested in how was your day

or what do you like in this life

It's not normal when you've nothing to talk about

or you've nothing in common with this person

It's not normal when guys doesn't give a sh*t about your problems and doesn't try to help you

Let's speak about what is normal

It's normal when the guy buys you flowers

asks you how your day was

and treat you well!

It's normal when the guy doesn't use foul language in front of you

it's normal when the guy needs to know how was your day

and simply is interested in your life.

This is something that's normal and not normal

This is not something spectacular

It simply means that it's just you

who makes this behavior feel exceptional

We have a problem girls. If normal attitude is something unexpectable for us.

It means that we set this bar too low

And you know what? You can use the word "variety" not only towards things

but it may sound like a surprise for you

But as much as you can pick your own countries to visit, books to read, things to eat, places to go

You can also choose people!

At the end of day the main goal in our life is to make ourselves happy

Don't forget about that

And that was pretty much it for this day!

Thank you guys for sharing with me this awesome day!

I hope that you're in relationships which I call "healthy", not "thankful"

and you do understand what makes you feel happy!

If you do, if you like this video, if you're a generous person and you like me:)

Please show it to me by giving it a big thumbs up!

Leave your comments and tell me what other types of relationships have you discovered?

links on my other social media you can as usual find in the description below

We're seeing each other every Monday and Thursday!

So see ya! bye!
