How's it going everyone and welcome to today's Censored Gaming recap.

Today there's news on a recent case of controversy related to the Senran Kagura series, some

news that's sure to please fans of classic 2D fighting games, as well as info on a pretty

cool update that was made recently to the ESRB's website.

To kick things off with the Senran Kagura info though...

In an interview conducted by PlayStation Lifestyle with series creator Kenichiro Takaki, the

producer made comments that recently worried some fans.

Takaki was asked whether he or the studio have considered an option for toning down

the game's females, to which he reportedly replied:

"A little bit.

The game started out very small and that was the big selling point in order to move units.

Now that the franchise has grown, and is getting more popular, it might be worth considering

having features that differ depending on where it's being sold.

That way it might be able to sell better in certain regions where it would be problematic

to have that kind of content."

Following this, PlayStation Lifestyle then suggested how some regions may receive more

toned down characters for future titles.

These comments naturally upset some fans of the games, as well as others who simply believe

in the practise of faithful localisation that doesn't tone down content.

Many were also confused by these comments.

Takaki has always been a very upfront guy when it comes to his love of the female form

and the studios behind the Western releases of these titles are commonly regarded as being

some of the best in the business when it comes to not toning content down.

Something didn't add up and Censored Gaming then spoke to a Marvelous representative about

the statements and was assured that they will not be toning down any of their releases of

Senran Kagura.

Marvelous's Twitter account also tweeted out this sentiment to fans, such as here where

they said their European releases of SENRAN KAGURA games will always offer the same experience

as those found in Japan.

Marvelous only handles the European releases of the games, which is why they only specified

Europe.

However, even Takaki's Japanese Twitter account, which only very rarely posts in English, wound

up making a statement.

This is what he had to say: "I'd like to make it clear that it is not

my intention to tone down the content in Senran Kagura overseas."

"If age rating boards require changes to allow a release, we will have to comply.

But otherwise, I want everyone to enjoy the same content!"

So, it seems very clear that fans shouldn't have to worry about any changes being made

to the Western titles.

What happened here then and how did this confusion happen?

It's not really known for certain, but perhaps there was a translation issue or some kind

of misunderstanding in PlayStation Lifestyle's interview.

Hopefully now however, everybody has a clearer idea of the situation.

Again: "I'd like to make it clear that it is not

my intention to tone down the content in Senran Kagura overseas."

"If age rating boards require changes to allow a release, we will have to comply.

But otherwise, I want everyone to enjoy the same content!"

Next up is Samurai Shodown V Special, which has just been announced to be getting released

for both PS4 and Vita sometime this summer.

Samurai Shodown is a classic 2D fighting series from the folks at SNK and this will be the

first time for the game to ever be released on Western consoles in its original uncensored

form.

As you can see, the title is a weapon based fighting game and it contains lots of blood

and other violence.

This however was removed when it was originally released in the US on the Neo Geo console

system way back in 2004.

And the title has actually not been re-released since, meaning this is the first time for

it to be uncensored in the West, outside of arcades, in 17 years.

We don't have a precise release date yet, but SNK has revealed it will be coming sometime

this summer and will feature new content such as online multiplayer, a Gallery mode, as

well as trophy support.

And to finish up with some ESRB news...

The ESRB, who are of course North America's video game rating system, have recently updated

their website to allow users to browse the ratings via most viewed games.

Also, with the tabs at the top you can then narrow it down further by selecting specific

platforms, time frames and so on.

The top 5 most viewed games this year are so far Watch Dogs 2 at number 1, Overwatch

at number 2, Battlefield 1 at number 3, and then CS:GO and GTAV at 4 and 5.

One thing that's interesting to point out here is that all of these games weren't even

released this year, with CS:GO in fact being 5 years old now.

Additionally, all but one of these titles are rated Mature which perhaps suggests that

the higher a game's rating, the more likely people are to check the website for it.

It's something you may be interested in checking out yourself and playing around with.

If you change the settings so it's only looking at the past 24 hours for example, everything

stays the same except now we have 2015's Until Dawn in the number 5 spot and CS:GO has been

bumped down a few places.

Until Dawn is being given away for free in this month's PlayStation Plus, which helps

explains why it's suddenly got so many views lately.

This also seems to suggest that there are many people who make sure to check the ESRB

website when it comes to getting new games.

Which, of course, isn't really that surprising but it's definitely interesting that we can

now actually see these statistics over on the website.

CS:GO - "CROUCH JUMP BUG" EXPLAINED & WHY IT'S OP - Duration: 2:31.

Hey guys, salut mes amis och hallå gubbar, Maxim here.

So recently a lot of people have been talking about a jump bug.

It was used under the major and some teams have even agreed not to use it

against each other.

But maximuh, what's a jump bug?

A crouch jump bug is when you hold in crouch, then jump then release crouch mid air to see higher up.

The faster you release crouch the more you see.

Not only do you see higher up and make no noise, you can find positions so the enemy

doesn't even see you.

Here's an example where I'm seeing the player from ruins, and here's that player's perspective.

And here's an example of pro's using it (and yes they were okay with the bug being used).

But hey, this is completely allowed to do by the rules set for the tournament, and yes

you can also do this yourself without getting into any VACERINO issues.

The scary thing is however that there's a couple areas on each map that this can be

used on, so I hope Valve can fix this somehow.

I'll give you some examples just so you can see how sick this really is.

First off, here on banana, you can get lots of info here without being seen.

Another example is here on cobblestone, for b long.

Here's another example for when you're trying to take over drop.

On Cache you can do it by the highway position to peek garage.

Here on nuke you can get info from outside, the same for Terrorist here.

And this one even let's you peek B halls on Train.

I did every single one without being seen from the enemies perspective.
