A Woman Couldn't Sleep for 9 Days.
The medicine she used to help her sleep was less than optimal.
This Is What Happened To Her Colon.
JD is a 27 year old woman, presenting to the emergency room, unconscious.
Her boyfriend Jeff tells the admitting nurse at admission that she had been awake for the
last 48 hours before complaining of severe nausea.
You see, JD had been experiencing a strange insomnia over the past 7 months.
Some nights she would lay in bed, tossing and turning while hearing the morning traffic
build up in her window.
Some mornings, she would dreadfully watch the sun rise.
Without sleep, her quality of life began to rapidly deteriorate.
She was an attorney, and her job performance began to suffer, as she would have trouble
making court dates.
She began losing interest in her hobbies and her relationship began to suffer as she blamed
Jeff for the insomnia, but even after his absence, her sleep trouble worsened.
10 years ago, JD was diagnosed with a mild depression.
She was started on a low dose of quetiapine, with good results and never missed a dose
nor had any complaints about it.
About 3 months ago, JD began trying supplements to help her sleep.
Some nights, she'd sleep great, and others, she'd be wide awake for 2 consecutive nights,
exhausted by the third day.
Some supplements, became many supplements.
She'd mix and match, and take much more than she needed until finally, nothing worked.
She consulted a neurologist for her problems, who prescribed her cognitive behavioral therapy,
but in it, she found limited success.
She finally moved on to over the counter medication.
She started taking the PM branding of a drug named diphenhydramine, which helps with allergies
but also makes one drowsy.
It helped her sleep every night for a whole week, but she noticed that the medicine would
give her not only stomach pain, but also constipation.
Sometimes, she'd sit for 30 minutes, with limited movement, but finally being able to
sleep gave her new life.
Inevitably, the insomnia came back.
JD began to escalate the dose each night until she would take 4 to 5 times the recommended
dose each night to sleep just a few hours, before waking up unrefreshed and exhausted.
One evening, she was at dinner with Jeff.
She barely ate.
She told him that she hadn't had a bowel movement nor slept more than just a few hours for 9 days.
He stayed with her over night to make sure she'd be ok.
Her skin became pale as she started complaining of nausea and stomach pain.
Jeff fell asleep but as he woke up, he found her laying on her side, in a pool of cold
sweat, huddled up and unresponsive.
In a panic, he called 911 and she was brought to the emergency room where we are now.
Given this history of present illness, there are several clues as to what's happening.
At physical examination, JD was immediately identified to be in shock.
Her blood pressure was low and her heart, to compensate for this hypotension, was beating
at 150 beats per minute, 3 times that of average.
And she was completely unresponsive.
An abdominal CT scan finds that JD has Acute Megacolon.
Mega meaning enlargement and referring to the dilatation of the colon, or the large intestines
Acute meaning that there are no underlying pathophysiologic conditions that are leading
to this problem except for the massive doses of diphenhydramine JD consumed for her sleep,
which leads us to the first clue.
Diphenhydramine is an allergy medicine.
In most parts of the body, it blocks the chemical named histamine which is responsible for most
common allergic reactions, like itching from mosquito bites, and sneezing from pollen.
But in the brain, diphenhydramine blocks a different chemical that transmits signals.
This means that small amounts leads to mild sedation, helping with sleep, but by affecting
the brain and its nerves, diphenhydramine also slows down the digestive system, which
receives signals from the brain.
Large amounts of diphenhydramine can lead to an almost complete stoppage of the digestive
system which brings us back to the name of JD's condition Acute Megacolon.
If she had no bowel movements for 9 days, and CT scan did not reveal any mechanical
obstructions in her colon, then it means nothing was specifically blocking the way in her intestines.
But if that's the case, then why is her colon dilated?
Why is it megacolon?
Well, there's a few things to be known here.
First, the stomach and intestines form their own set of nerves called the enteric nervous
system, sometimes called the second brain.
This "second brain," controls the muscles of your bowel and cannot be actively controlled
by you, meaning you can't force your stomach to contract at will like you can your biceps.
But if the first brain in the head and the second brain in the gut both use the same
chemicals to transmit signals along the nerves, and JD's sleep medicine diphenhydramine
blocks the chemicals from transmitting signals in those nerves, then it means that high doses
of JD's sleep medicine were slowing down her gut to a high degree.
Inside the colon, because the digestive system is a giant tube from your mouth to the other
end, the pressure stays constant within, meaning that if one part is dilated, the pressure
has more or less, stayed the same and hasn't dropped.
This means that the tension at the wall of the dilated segment is elevated, and as the
colon keeps slowing down from high doses of diphenhydramine, and as tension keeps building
up, then blood can't flow through it, meaning those blood vessels will begin to crush up
against the sides of the wall, starving the tissue of oxygen as it slowly begins to necrose,
or quite literally die.
This necrotic tissue begins to lose it's muscular integrity, and as time continued
through JD's abdominal pain and distention starting from several days ago, the walls
of her colon began to weaken so much, that they finally perforated, spilling her intestinal
contents into her peritoneal cavity, causing bacteria from the gut to spill into her blood
stream, as they begin to flow freely, all throughout her body.
Just like how when you get an infection on your skin it becomes swollen, red and warm,
an infection that spreads into your blood causes your entire body to become "swollen,"
which translates to the body sending white blood cells systemically, promoting inflammation.
Because JD's situation isn't self-limiting, meaning it isn't containing itself, her
blood vessels have begun to vasodilate, causing her blood pressure to drop.
Her heart detects this and begins to beat faster in order to compensate for the loss
in pressure so that her organs can still receive blood, but as her brain starts to lose oxygen,
JD loses consciousness.
This dramatic escalation in signs and symptoms due to colonic perforation is known as septic shock
and means almost imminent death in JD's case, if treatment isn't initiated within
the next few minutes.
The notion of motor dysfunction in the gastrointestinal system is a persistent underlying theme that
has far reaching implications when it comes to seemingly unrelated causes of disease in
humans.
Opioids for pain control in the hospital can often cause gastric hypomotility.
This is a time when constipation becomes a common occurrence leading to fecal impaction.
If the patient is elderly and doesn't receive a stool softener, then it means they will
have to strain to pass a movement.
If they strain hard enough, their heart will temporarily stop and they can rupture blood
vessels in the brain causing a stroke, which leads to cerebral vasospasm days later, which can starve
the brain of oxygen leading to brain damage.
In the case of gastroesophageal reflux disease, stomach acid commonly splashes into the esophagus,
which isn't equipped to handle the low pH.
While laying down, this acid can enter the bronchioles of the lungs and trigger asthma
as well as damage the larynx and erode the enamel of the teeth.
The integrity of the esophageal mucus membrane is disrupted and the cells are damaged, leading
to Barrett's Esophagus which predisposes the patient to esophageal cancer, which can then undergo
a malignant transformation and then spread all throughout the body.
A common inflammatory bowel disease known as Crohn's Disease affects any part of the
digestive tract, at all layers of the bowel walls.
This is a state of mucosal inflammation that can seep into the smooth muscle of the colon,
paralyzing it, causing it to dilate.
The deep ulcerated parts of the intestines begin to degenerate and necrose as white blood
cells begin to swell into the tissue, causing it to rupture, giving way to toxic megacolon,
a more chronic condition with an underlying pathophysiology compared to JD's acute megacolon.
Her history of present illness all point to this.
The prior stomach pain.
The nausea.
The high doses of diphenhydramine in a desperate attempt to finally fall asleep.
Since the onset of shock appears to be relatively recent, it may not yet be too late for her,
she could still be resuscitated.
The first line of treatment is to remove the source of bacteria spreading into her blood.
She is admitted immediately to surgery and at laparotomy, or incision into the abdominal
cavity, massive colonic distention was found with evidence of perforation.
Her small intestines, and distal parts of her rectum were found to be viable and her
entire colon was removed.
Admission into the intensive care unit led to immediate initiation of antibiotics and
early goal-directed resuscitation as her condition began to stabilize over the following days.
The final thing to note here, is that JD's condition sould have been easily caught by
any health care provider, at any point.
Diphenhydramine as a medicine is a well known anti-cholinergic.
If a cholinergic does things like promote smooth muscle movement in the digestive system
and promote a "rest and digest" state of the body, then an anti-cholinergic prevents
digestive system movement.
Do you remember that quetiapine that JD was taking for her depression?
Well, quetiapine is also a well known anti-cholinergic, meaning the dangerous dual blockade of diphenhydramine
in large, prohibited doses in combination with quetiapine, which also exhibits anti-dopaminergic
and anti-serotonergic activity, both important neurotransmitters in "both" brains, virtually
stopped her digestive system from moving completely, and caused her colon to swell, crushing the
blood vessels, starving it of oxygen and causing the walls to perforate, leaking enteric contents
including gut bacteria into her blood.
JD's anticholinergic excess, produced from a drug interaction that should have been caught
by physicians, nurses and the pharmacist at the store where she bought the medicine, caused
this set of symptoms.
Luckily for her, it wasn't too late to begin early goal directed resuscitation in the intensive
care unit, and over a few weeks, her septic shock was resolved as she regained consciousness,
and her gut was surgically anastomosed, or rejoined together, without her colon.
And upon arriving home, a good nights sleep in her own bed, was waiting for her.
Thank you so much for watching.
Take care of yourself.
And Be well.

Top 10 Greatest Swords In Video Games - Duration: 6:21.
These days, weapons in video games can come in all shapes and forms.
Long gone are the days where you'd use either a gun or a sword or some sort of deadly laser-esque
shooter device.
Creativity has really shaken up the way we kill things.
Digitally, that is.
But at the end of the day, sometimes you just want to hack and slash away with a sword.
Today, we're taking a look at the age old reliable weapon with our list of the top 10
greatest swords in video games, all of which are interesting, innovative and fun takes
on the bladed killing tool.
10 Buster Sword – Final Fantasy VII (7) The Buster Sword is one of the most iconic
video game swords out there.
Even if you're unfamiliar with Final Fantasy and Cloud, you'd probably recognize the
image of him holding the sword if you ever saw it in passing.
It's bloody massive, almost comically so.
An enormous broadsword, that's approximately 5 or 6 feet in length and one foot wide, the
weapon is one of the longest running in the series, and has received subtle changes over
the years when it comes to small details, but overall, has generally remained the same
in appearance.
Often referred to as a giant kitchen knife, the idea behind its development was for it
to match up with Cloud's samurai Musashi Miyamoto based imagery, with the sword being
reminiscent of the oar carved suburito waster sword used by swordsman.
9 The Z-Saber – Mega Man X Zero's weapon on choice, the Z-Saber is
pretty darn cool.
He first acquires it in Mega Man X2 after he was remodeled by the X-Hunters, and it's
been in every game since.
Projecting a solid beam of energy from its hilt, the sword is more than just your typical
take on a technologically advanced weapon.
It can copy the abilities of the Mavericks that Zero has defeated in battle, meaning
it can transform into ice, fire, steel, lightening and plasma, making it incredibly versatile.
Also known as the beam saber, it can also release a shockwave after using two charge
shots.
8 Energy Sword – Halo 2 The Energy Sword is often considered an OP
item in Halo 2.
It made close range fighting real difficult, or real easy, if you're the one on the right
end of the weapon.
It's actually the signature weapon of the Sangheili, being their chief weapon of nobility
since it was first created during the Ages of Discovery.
It's regarded as holy, and is meant to express its owners personal skill, clerical honor
and combat viability.
And it made multi-player a total b**** if you didn't get to that sword first.
7 Rebellion – Devil May Cry The Rebellion is perhaps the best thing about
Devil May Cry 2, depending on what your feels are concerning that game.
Without breaking down the likes and dislikes fans of the series had over the sequel title,
the Rebellion was arguably one of its highlights.
It became his trademark sword in the series, given to him as a keepsake from his father.
Later on, in the third game, it would impale him, and once it got a taste of Dante's
blood, it awoken, and gave our hero the ability to use his latent power Devil Trigger.
Talk about inspiring teamwork.
6 Time Dagger – Prince of Persia Okay, sure, so it's technically a dagger,
but it's a weapon just as incredible as any of the other blades on this list.
The Dagger of Time is an artifact that is linked to the sands of time, which is the
substance that the game's initial trilogy is concerned with.
It is the only container other than the hourglass that is strong enough to hold the sands, and
whoever wields it can control time by using up the sands within it, meaning you can reverse,
slow down, or stop time while using it.
Definitely not a bad ability to have.
Although for those wielding it, it comes with a poignant consequence; you remember all of
the original and altered timeline that occurred prior to using the dagger.
5 Keyblade – Kingdom Hearts Easily one of the neatest looking weapons
on this list, Sora's Keyblade has become an iconic part of the Kingdom Hearts series.
It's a mysterious item that shares a link with its owner, and it's multifaceted.
You can use it as a weapon, but you can also use it to unlock things, from doors to chests
to links to worlds, and in some cases, the darkness in people's hearts.
Plus, changing the keychain at its bottom changes its appearance.
Also, fun fact!
According to developers, originally the weapon was meant to look more like a chainsaw than
a sword, with the team eventually opting out of that idea and going with a blade instead.
4 Lightsaber From literally any Star Wars game.
Lightsabers are so ingrained in pop culture at this point that there should be no doubt
the weapon deserves a spot on this list.
Who hasn't grown up wishing they could swing a light saber around?
Well, thanks to the wonders that are video games, players now have the opportunity to
do so; from Star Wars The Old Republic to the Battlefront games, getting your jedi or
sith on wielding your very own light saber has long been a massive appeal to Star Wars
and gamers out there for years, and it doesn't seem like that'll be changing any time soon.
3 Soul Edge – SoulCalibur The Soul Edge is one of the most epic looking
swords on this list.
And everything about the sword, from its origin to what it can do, is equally as intense.
Initially, it started off as a regular sword, but then was bathed in blood and hatred countless
times, turning it into a demonic weapon with a wicked soul called Inferno.
Anyone who touches its hilt are taken over by its curse, with the spirit invading their
mind like a parasite.
It's also got an eye on the hilt, and that's scary AF.
2 Master Sword – Legend of Zelda The master sword may look like a regular ol
sword, but what it stands for and it's important in the Legend of Zelda games makes it so much
more.
Also known as the Blade of Evil's Bane, among many other nick names, the Master Sword
is the legendary weapon who is drawn to heroes who have earned the right to wield it.
It was originally crafted by the goddess Hylia as the Goddess Sword, and later forged into
what we know it as today, bathing it in the three sacred flames that across the land that
would become known as the Kingdom of Hyrule.
It has the power to repel evil, and is the only weapon that can defeat Ganon.
First introduced in A Link to the Past, it wasn't until it's appearance in Ocarina
of Time that it was given the handle colouration (to an extent) that it has now.
1 Blades of Chaos – God of War The Blades of Chaos are arguably one of the
most enjoyable weapons to use on this list.
Not only are they awesome aesthetically, but they've become ingrained in the God of War
mythos ever since they debuted in the first game of the franchise, becoming one of his
main weapons.
They're even recovered by the hero in the most recent God of War title, which gave shivers
to many a longtime fan of the series.
The Blades of chaos are a pair of chained blades made by the God of War, Ares, who had
crafted them for a servant who would prove themselves worthy of his service.
There we have it friends!

How Does Reverse Psychology Work? - Duration: 5:02.
[♪ INTRO]
Hey, you know all those chores that you probably have to do?
Dishes, laundry, vacuuming?
Yeah, they're not important.
You should probably just forget about them.
I don't know if you actually feel any more motivated now... but reverse psychology is the idea
that you can persuade someone to do something by telling them not to do it.
It might seem like something that only works in cartoons, like a big red button that says
"DO NOT PUSH."
But researchers have studied reverse psychology and it does seem to have an effect on real people in certain situations.
When scientists talk about reverse psychology, they focus on something called reactance.
You know that "you can't tell me what to do!" feeling?
That's reactance.
This idea was first proposed in 1966, in a paper on psychological reactance theory that
synthesized a lot of thoughts and research about this internal process.
The author suggested that when we're given instructions to do a particular thing, we feel our freedom of choice becoming restricted.
For example, on your own, you can choose to do whatever you want — watch a movie, go to the park, eat a corndog...
But when you're told to do something specific, your freedom to choose other things feels like it's more limited.
Psychologically, that can be uncomfortable.
And that discomfort can motivate you to fight back to regain that freedom of choice.
So you might disobey.
Like, "No Mom, I'm not going to clean my room.
I'm going to, probably sort my Magic: The Gathering cards!"
If we are talking about me back in a high school.
Even if you didn't even want to sort your Magic: The Gathering cards, more options lead to less discomfort.
Of course, reverse psychology isn't just a thing for rebellious kids.
The research is mixed on whether younger or older people might be more susceptible to stronger reactance,
and it's tricky to compare ages because of other life factors.
But psychologists do know that people of all ages experience reactance, and in lots of situations
— from taking advice from a friend, to listening to a public health message.
For example, when the US drinking age was legally raised to 21 in the 1980s,
psychologists noted behavioral changes between college students of different ages.
One survey looked at 3,375 college students during the academic year between 1987 and 1988.
And they found that 81% of the students who were younger than 21 drank, versus 75% of students who were 21 and over.
Underage students also reportedly drank more heavily.
24% were considered more likely to make risky decisions or to be heavy drinkers — basically, having a lot of drinks fairly often.
Only 15% of legal drinkers were in this category.
You wouldn't expect such a drastic difference without some cause.
And sure, there are a lot of factors that go into the decision to drink.
But the researchers suggest that this trend was partially because students were reacting to limited freedom,
to re-establish a sense that they could choose whether to drink or not.
Another survey looked at 2,142 students from 10 schools in 1990.
And they saw significant differences in alcohol use if people were 21 or not, but not other drug use.
The researchers say that further supports the idea of reactance, because the changing drinking age was a big deal to behavioral freedom.
The kicker is, reactance can cause people to go against lots of best interests.
Even ignoring medical treatment plans from doctors.
A 2014 study that looked at depressed patients found a strong link between high levels of
reactance and refusal to take medications.
119 psychiatric outpatients being treated for depression were asked to fill out a number
of questionnaires, assessing their psychological reactance, how in control they felt, self-efficacy,
and how well they were adhering to the medications they'd been prescribed.
And their responses showed a distinct negative correlation between reactance and medication adherence.
In other words, stronger reactance meant they followed their treatment plan less.
The authors of the study concluded that it might be helpful for mental health professionals
to find ways to communicate with patients that avoid creating high levels of reactance.
One strategy could be giving patients more tools to make decisions,
instead of explicitly telling them to do or think something.
For example, Motivational Enhancement Therapy emphasizes patients' freedom of choice.
And these kinds of therapies are often used to treat cases of drug abuse or alcoholism.
Rather than a therapist pushing a particular choice, like, "stop taking all those drugs, dude,"
the therapist and patient work through the pros and cons of each approach to the issue.
This way, the patient hopefully feels less limited, and reactance is less likely.
Ideally, they're more likely to carefully weigh all the strategies and choose to take steps towards recovery.
We've all heard about this, you have to make people think it was their idea.
Reactance is just one of many factors that affects how likely someone is to take advice
— it's not a surefire way to persuade anyone.
But if you're feeling lucky with a stubborn nephew, who knows, maybe a little reverse psychology will do the trick.
Thank you for watching this episode of Scishow Psych!

Top 10 Actors Who Were Almost Avengers - Duration: 5:05.
Welcome back nerd squad, my name is Roya Destroyaa and this is Top 10 Nerd.
We have seen the actors who play the Avengers in so many movies now, that it would be hard
to imagine other people taking on the roles.
But, wouldnÕt you know, all roles have auditions.
And some very familiar faces came pretty darn close to snagging said roles.
So letÕs take a look at the top 10 ACTORS WHO WERE ALMOST AVENGERS.
In the number 10 spot WE HAVE JAKE GYLENHAAL.
Before filming Spiderman 2, Tobey McGuire injured his back due to his role as a jockey
in Seabiscuit.
Those darn horses.
So he was understandably not feeling up to some of the fats required of being Spidey,
which threw everyone into a loop.
ThatÕs when Southpaw and nightcrawler actor Jake Gylenhaal stepped up and was prepped
tot ake over.
Luckily Tobey made a recovery, although I guess unluckily for Jake.
But now Jake gets to be Mysterio in Far From Home, so it all worked out in the end!
Next, at number 9, IS TOM HIDDLESTON.
You already know that Tom plays Loki in the Avengers and Thor films, so he basically kinda
is an avenger.
One that theyÕve been trying to shake free of.
Looks like they got their wishÑoops.
But Tom actually auditioned for the role of Thor, and he even packed on quite a bit of
muscle to look the part.
But in the end the previously unknown Chris Hemsworth scored the role, and Tom has never
been far behind since.
Coming in at number 8, WE GOT JOHN KRASINSKI.
Chris Evans originally was not too keen to play the patriotic Captain America.
So while Marvel had offered him the role, he turned it down several times before accepting.
John Krasinski from the Office, meanwhile, had made it as far as a costumed audition
for the role before he himself decided he just wasnÕt cut out for the job.
One look at Chris Hemsworth in his Asgardian garb was enough to convince John he was just
not ready physically.
In the number 7 spot, IS LINDSAY LOHAN.
The star of one of my favorite movies, Mean Girls, was almost cast to make an appearance
as an unknown Avengers character.
While she never explicitly stated what the role was, she did state that it ended up going
to a relatively unknown actress.
So we can only assume it wasnÕt Scarlett JohanssonÕs Black WidowÑnot that I could
really see her in that role to begin with.
Best guesses are with Maria Hill, a SHIELD former director and associate to the Avengers.
Up at number 6, WE HAVE SAM ROCKWELL.
When Marvel studios was just starting out, who was going to be playing iron Man was a
very important decision that would set them up for either disaster or success.
Sam Rockwell, who you may know from HithchikerÕs Guide to the Galaxy, was highly considered
for the role until Robert Downey Jr was selected instead to become the face of the MCU.
But this guy didnÕt miss out eitherÑhe ended up playing Justin Hammer in iron Man 2, making
this another story where everybody wins!
Coming in at number 5, WE HAVE LIAM HEMSWORTH.
Because the Hemsworth boys are interchangeable right?
Liam was actually the brother who was on the directorÕs shortlist to play Thor, but after
a stellar second audition the role went to brother Chris despite the fact that he kinda
blew his first one.
But now we know Liam so wellfor his role in Huner Games that it may have been kinda weird
anyway!
Next up, at number 4, WE GOT JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT.
Paul Rudd and 500 Days of Summer actor Joseph Gordon Levitt both ended up neck and neck
in the race to score the role of Antman.
In the end the role went to Paul Rudd, because Antman is a role that requires a bit of charm
and a good delivery of humor.
The ageless face definitely helps.
But make no mistake it was an extremely close one with these two frontrunners.
Up next at number 3, IS GLENN HOWERTON.
If you ever watched ItÕs Always Sunny in Philadelphia, then you would know that Glenn
is funny and amiable and yes maybe he wouldÕve been a good fit to be Star Lord.
James Gunn himself said the actor would have been his second choice.
But everyone also knows that my personal very real and not fake husband Chris Pratt suits
the role to a T, and he also needs it to support our family so just you know, leave him alone.
In the number 2 spot, WE HAVE EMILY BLUNT.
If scheduling conflict hadnÕt gotten in the way, we could;ve had ourselves a British Black
Widow.
Which would have been a little weird, but Emily Blunt wasnÕt the directorÕs favorite
for no reason.
Unfortunately she had to turn down the role because of scheduling issues with GulliverÕs
Travels.
A movie that did significantly worse than iron Man 2, so maybe sheÕs kicking herself
a little for that choice.
And finally, in the number 1 spot, IS TOM CRUISE.
Now while I personally donÕt particularly enjoy Tom CruiseÕs acting, I do have to admit
he probably would have made a pretty good Tony Stark.
ItÕs so hard to see anybody but Robert Downey Jr in the role now, but if you close your
eyes and try, Tom doesnÕt seem so hard to imagine.
Tom was actually in talks with the budding Marvel Studios for years as the movie was
kind of in development limbo.
In the end Robert Downey won out.
But heÕs got Mission impossible, and thatÕs a win in itself.
So those were the top 10 ACTORS WHO WERE ALMOST AVENGERS.
Let me know in the comment section down below WHO you want FACTS ON NEXT.
My name is Roya Destroyaa, thanks for watching, and donÕt forget to subscribe so you never
miss another nerdy list!

Tour de Farce | Pink Panther Cartoons | The Inspector - Duration: 5:57.
[Inspector]Mack La Truck, the most vicious criminal in the history of France,
had been condemned to Devil's Island.
I was assigned to deliver him to that stinking rotten place.
All right, you get up there, you big lummox.
Come on, look alive, move it!
Well, mon capitane, there's the island, eh?
I must say we've made excellent time, eh?
Huh? Wait a minute.
No, no, Inspector, that's not where you get off.
That's--
Don't you tell me where to get off, eh?
I'll tell you where to get off, eh?
Now, lower a boat, I'm getting off.
I guess that's telling him off, eh?
Come on, you lazy monster, put your back into it, eh?
Stroke. Stroke. Stroke.
Stroke. Stroke. Stroke.
[faster] Stroke. Stroke. Stroke.
Stroke. Stroke. Stroke.
[thudding]
[Inspector] We'll dock here.
All right, you swine.
Have you any last request before I leave you here to rot on Devil's Island?
This ain't Devil's Island. It's Deserted Island.
Oh, no.
Captain!
Captain!
[horn sounding]
Sacre bleu, and there won't be another boat for six months.
In the meantime, big boy, you are still my prisoner.
Make one false move and I'll shoot you dead on sight.
Aha, now you've done it.
You've made a false move. Well take this!
[gun clicks]
Oh, no. I forgot to load my gun.
[panting]
[Inspector]The only law now was the law of the jungle.
It would be the brute strength of a gorilla
versus the cunning mind of a hawk.
And with a bird brain like mine, he didn't stand a chance.
Come on out and fight, you crummy little punk!
[crashing]
Okay, copper. I got a chip on my shoulder.
I dare you to come out and knock it off.
Why that big baboon, I'll show him.
Ha, how do you like that, eh?
[thudding]
There. This ought to fool that big lummox.
All right, you cowardly swine, come out into the open,
and face me like a man!
Why you dirty little...
Now I'll finish you off once and for all!
What's the matter with this stupid rope?
So long, copper!
I'm gonna throw you off this cliff!
Don't bother.
Why that dirty, no good, sneaky cop.
If I ever catch him, I'll...
Huh? What's this?
"Scared?"
I ain't scared of nothin'!
You hear that, copper? Nothing!
[laughs]
It's only fair to warn you that this is going to hurt.
[thudding]
[La Truck] It hurts, doesn't it?
[evil laugh]
There he is.
When this rock hits him, it will be all over.
[crumbling]
Oh, no!
[thudding]
[La Truck] Before you take me in, Inspector,
there's something I'd like to get off my chest.
Huh? What's that?

How to Make a World-Record-Breaking Paper Airplane - Duration: 3:20.
So you want to make the world's farthest-traveling paper airplane.
The technique you learned in school won't cut it.
When making a paper plane, there are four things to consider:
No. 1: The Paper
Paper is measured in the weight of a ream—500 pages.
The average copier paper in the U.S. is 20-24 pound stock.
Guinness World Record rules allow us to use paper that weighs up to 100 grams per square meter,
or about 26.4 pounds.
Paper that heavy usually comes in A4—an international paper size not commonly used in the U.S.
John Collins, the paper plane designer who currently holds the world-record,
says you want paper that's been photocopied on.
The heat process from the photocopy machine stiffens the paper.
And the ink is not actually ink, it's a microfine layer of plastic.
Those two things—the heat and the plastic—help the paper hold a crease.
Use something that's in the recycle bin, you know?
And don't use something that's been printed on.
That ink will hurt the fibers of the paper.
You want something that's been photocopied onto if you're using recycled papers.
No. 2: Forces and Center of Gravity
For any paper airplane, you'll have to deal with two major forces during your flight:
lift, or upward force, and drag, or backward force.
Your plane needs to generate more lift than drag to go up.
When more drag is generated than lift, the plane falls.
You have to engineer in a way for the plane to gain speed to counteract drag.
You put a small bend at the back of the plane, upward, so that when the plane has gained
sufficient speed, there's enough air bouncing off of that upward bend to deflect the tail
back down and that pulls the nose up and now it's level again.
When designing your aerial vehicle, you'll want to make sure the wings are bent upwards.
This is called a positive dihedral angle, and helps the plane to correct itself if it starts to sway.
When one wing dips too low, it produces extra lift and the plane will return to its center of gravity.
No. 3: Location! Location! Location!
It's not easy to find a space big enough to break this world record.
Collins' world-record breaking airplane was thrown by quarterback Joe Ayoob
at the McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, CA.
And Collins says you need the perfect weather conditions.
All of our best throwing days were 52 to 62 degrees, 25-30% humidity.
If the air thickness is wrong, or if the wings aren't stiff enough to take care of the
air quality, the plane tends to die in that last third.
You want perfectly stable.
No. 4: The Throw
The best form isn't like a pitcher in baseball, or even like an NFL quarterback.
It's like a javelin thrower.
The great thing about Joe is that he had a way, a knowledge, of changing his throw to
match the sport that really was invaluable in looking at
how to throw the paper airplane the best way.
We worked together for about 18 months and he was working on his throwing technique the whole time.
To summarize: Find 100 GSM A4 paper, design your plane with the proper center of gravity
and center of lift, and throw it the right way in the right place under the right conditions.
Congrats, you're now a world record holder.

Kempetai | Man In The High Castle - Duration: 5:00.
Over the course of the Pacific War, the Empire of Japan and the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity
Sphere occupied territories across half the world.
The flag of the Rising Sun was flown across the northernmost reaches of Siberia all the
way to India, China, the Dutch East Indies, Australia, Chile, the Pacific States of America,
and everywhere in-between.
With the surrender of the allied nations, the last elements of resistance in these territories
were crushed by the Imperial Japanese Army, but to maintain control and consolidate their
conquered peoples under Imperial rule, the Empire turned to the Kempeitai.
Roughly analogous to the military police utilized by the former Western Powers, the Kempeitai
was first established in 1881.
While initially modeled on the National Gendarmerie of France, its military, executive, judicial,
and police functions were continually amended and broadened as the Empire pursued expansionist
policies.
It's role became clear in 1907 with the occupation and later annexation of Korea,
in which Kempeitai forces assisted in preserving the peace and suppressing anti-Japanese sentiment.
During the border skirmishes of the 1920s and 30s, in which many foreign territories
fell under Japanese military occupation, the Kempeitai began recruiting a large number
of locals to serve as auxiliaries.
By the height of the Second World War, it had expanded to tens of thousands of officers
stationed across the Empire.
Kempeitai agents formed valuable connections with the German Abwehr and Italian Servizio
Informazioni Militare.
Mutual points of contact such as the Penang Submarine base in former British Malaya allowed
for technological and information exchanges.
With the capitulation of the allies, the Kempeitai expanded or established headquarters and field
offices across the whole of the Prosperity Sphere.
Their officers and agents became responsible for issuing travel permits, recruiting members
of the local populace for labor or axillary duty, handling counter-intelligence services,
and anti-ideological work.
The Kempeitai have become especially critical in the Japanese Pacific States, where resentment
and resistance towards the Japanese backed government still lingers.
The Neutral Zone, separating the Pacific States from the Greater Germanic Reich, has become
a hotbed of criminal activity and the greatest criminal syndicates of the Yakuza have quickly
expanded their operations across the Americas.
Occasional crackdowns have led to gunfights in the streets of San Francisco and elsewhere
between the Kempeitai and various syndicates.
Organized armed resistance, while largely subdued since the end of the war, is not
unknown and occasional raids are made against those who would harbor enemies of the state
or suspected insurrectionists.
It is not uncommon for targeted individuals to be taken from their homes in the night.
Kempeitai methods, while brutal, are especially effective.
An assassination attempt on the life of the Crown Prince has proven the continued need
for vigilance while a recent bombing of the Kempeitai's headquarters in the Nippon Building
within San Francisco suggests that anti-Japanese elements are better equipped than previously
believed.
The Empire of Japan cannot afford any sign of weakness.
The death of Hitler has shattered any guarantees of peace and the Greater Germanic Reich cannot
be trusted to be content with only half the world.
Internal unrest can not be allowed to be persist, and the success of the Kempeitai might decide
the fate of the Empire.
Thanks to Lee Shorten for providing the narration for today's episode.
Lee plays Sergeant Yoshida of the Kempeitai on The Man In The High Castle, which will
be returning for its third season on October 5th.
You can also watch him play Rebel General Ikari on September 2nd when the fan film "Bucketheads
- A Star Wars Story" premieres at DragonCon in Atlanta.
A link to the trailer and his Twitter profile are in the description.
Speaking of DragonCon, both Marc and myself will be heading down to Atlanta to meet with
our friends Star Wars Explained and Spacedock, and we may be organizing a fan meetup while
we're there.

Drake & Cardi B Rule Spotify's Most Streamed Songs of the Summer List | Billboard News - Duration: 1:36.
As summer 2018 winds down, the discussion over what will be deemed
the official song of the season is heating up!
Spotify just released their most streamed songs of the Summer list
and I'll give you one guess who's at No. 1….
Drake and his Keke were definitely in their feelings
and apparently in their streams as well,
grabbing more than 393 million plays
between June 1 and August 20.
That bests the next entry on the list by 100 million streams
and even more incredible?
"In My Feelings" appears on Drake's 'Scorpion,'
which wasn't released on streaming platforms until June 30 -
a full month into Spotify's tracking period.
Number 2 and 3 both involve Cardi B
with her Maroon 5 collab "Girls Like You" earning 293 million streams,
narrowly beating out her former Billboard Hot 100 No. 1
"I Like It" featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny, which saw 289 million plays.
Rounding out the top five are "Lucid Dreams" by Juice WRLD -
who Spotify's head of urban music Carl Chery
deemed this summer's "breakout star."
And at No. 5, the former No. 1 smash "SAD!" by XXXTentacion!
For a full rundown of the top 20
plus a Spotify playlist dedicated to the ranking

Game of Thrones Season 8 Teaser- FIRST LOOK BREAKDOWN! - Duration: 4:02.
Hello Everyone.
Welcome to UBM.
Your one stop for book and TV series reviews.
HBO has released a new video with clips from Game of Thrones and a few other shows.
So I've compiled all of the Game of thrones clips from the video, and slowed down the
last few clips for you, since it went really fast in the video.
I post another videos every Saturday at 07:00 pm IST or at 09:30 am EST.
So make sure to subscribe this channel and also click on the bell icon to get notifications
from my channel.
And I want to thank you Aaron Arguelles for contributing to my channel on Patreon.
So, as you can see, most of these clips contain scenes from season 7, like the scenes of Dany,
Jon, Davos etc at Dragonstone, or Gendry fighting the Goldcloaks in King's Landing or Jaime,
Drogon, & Dany in the spoils of war.
You can also see a glimpse of Cersei, Bran, & Jon coming out of water in Beyond the Wall
episode.
But aside from these clips of season 7.
We also got see the very first clip of season 8 in this video.
As you can see, there is ONE clip where Jon is hugging Sansa.
The last time Jon had met Sansa, they were at Castle Black.
But behind Sansa, you can see the balcony from where Sansa and LF watched Jon leave
in season 7.
Also, the first time they met, Winter was only arriving in Westeros, so Jon wasn't
wearing any cloaks but in this clip, you can see Jon wearing the same cloak he was wearing
in the episode in which he left Winterfell for Dragonstone.
The last time we saw Jon, he was on his way back to Winterfell on a ship with Dany and
Tyrion.
I've already discussed the possible routes they will take in my "Dany's journey & Predictions
part 2" and my "Winterfell Updates" videos.
I discussed in those videos how Jon and Dany will go to White harbour first and then will
meet the Dothraki on the king's road before heading towards Winterfell.
Either this will happen on screen or off screen.
Either way, Jon will and Dany will arrive together at Winterfell.
A lot has happened since Jon was last in Winterfell.
In the end of Season 7, Sansa has killed Little Finger, and Sam and Bran have figured out
Jon's real name and his true parentage.
So I guess it's not too far to assume that Sansa also might know that Jon is a Targaryen.
Now is it just me or does Sansa look really unhappy in this clip?
I don't think the fact that Jon is a Targaryen would be enough to make Sansa unhappy after
his safe return.
So I guess it's safe to assume that her unhappy look might have something to do with
Dany and Tyrion arriving with Jon.
So, what do you think of this new clip and what do you think the look on Sansa's face
means?
Don't forget to tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Telling Time For Kids Song | Telling Time to the Half Hour and Hour - Duration: 6:24.
I want to tell you all about my Saturday,
but before I do, listen! I've just gotta say:
Sixty minutes make up every hour on the clock,
and thirty minutes is half an hour....tick-tock!
So remember, on a clock, thirty is half an hour.
Now let me tell you of the day that almost went sour.
I was headed to the park; I decided to walk.
As I left, I looked up and saw the time on a clock.
The short hand pointed to the nine, and I knew it was nine
when I saw the long hand made an upward vertical line.
When that long minute hand points right to the twelve,
the short hour hand points to the time we can tell.
When the hour hand's on a number and the minute hand's up,
we know it's "o'clock," whether breakfast or sup.
If the hour hand's right between two numbers, per se,
it's half past the hour, or six-thirty, that day.
With the long minute hand that represents the minutes gone by,
it's easy to tell time--and soon you'll see why.
Each number on the clock has five minutes in it.
If you skip-count by five, you'll tell the time lickety-split!
After hours playing, I took my sidewalk chalk...
thinking, "Wouldn't it be fun to draw the time on a clock?"
Three thirty: the hour hand is half past three.
The minute hand's at six--halfway 'round--which is thirty.
I remembered I had to meet my friend, Lexi;
her house was far away, so I left in a hurry!
One o'clock, two o'clock, three o'clock, four o'clock, five o'clock,
six o'clock, seven o'clock, eight o'clock, nine o'clock, ten o'clock,
eleven o'clock, twelve o'clock.
I got to Lexi's door and then rapped… "Knock! Knock!"
She answered the door and was pointing to the clock.
The hour hand was right between the five and the four;
the minute hand was at six, pointing down toward the floor.
So the time was four-thirty, and she looked annoyed!
"You said you'd be coming no later than four, boy."
When the hour hand's on a number and the minute hand's up,
we know it's "o'clock," whether breakfast or sup.
If the hour hand's right between two numbers, per se,
it's half past the hour, or three-thirty, that day.
With the long minute hand that represents the minutes gone by,
it's easy to tell time--and soon you'll see why.
Each number on the clock has five minutes in it.
If you skip-count by five, you'll tell the time lickety-split!
We went to the movies, and I bought us two tickets.
The movie we went to see started right at six.
The hour hand was at six; the minute hand pointed up.
She said, "Are we almost late?" And I was like, "Yup!"
When we finally got our seat, she told me I was cute,
but I'd eaten beans for lunch and let out a loud toot.
Twelve thirty, one thirty, two thirty, three thirty, four thirty, five thirty,
six thirty, seven thirty, eight thirty, nine thirty, ten thirty, eleven thirty.
On the way home we walked by the fishing dock.
We looked up and saw that it was now eight o'clock.
The minute hand pointed up; the hour hand, at the eight.
She said, "I'm supposed to be home by now. Oh, great!"
So we went off in a hurry; we ran, we bounded...
to get Lexi home fast so she wouldn't be grounded!
When the hour hand's on a number and the minute hand's up,
we know it's "o'clock," whether breakfast or sup.
If the hour hand's right between two numbers, per se,
it's half past the hour, or ten-thirty, that day.
With the long minute hand that represents the minutes gone by,
it's easy to tell time--and soon you'll see why.
Each number on the clock has five minutes in it.
If you skip-count by five, you'll tell the time lickety-split!

Modcloth Plus Size Mega Haul: Fall vibes giving me all the feels. - Duration: 29:36.
hey everybody today I have a new haul for you hey everyone today
I have a new haul for you today this haul is from ModCloth one of my personal
faves now this haul is sponsored by ModCloth but I will tell you when I was
shopping for the items that I would feature in today's haul I had such a
hard time because I wanted everything so it's a good good good haul one of my
personal favorite hauls as of recent times because of how excited I am for
everything I am gonna unbox most of it with you there were two items that came
in a separate package so I'm gonna do those first and then I'm gonna jump in to
what's in the huge huge box of ModCloth stuff I have so let's jump right in the
first item I'm obsessed with is this black skirt with an elastic waistband
and it's got fun little silver sparkles there and then goes down to a black
tulle with silver stars look I'm so obsessed with it it's soft it's light
it's comfortable who doesn't love a tulle skirt in the
fall and it's sparkly it's so sparkly and I love sparkle I don't care how old
I am I will be wearing sequins until I die
quote me now you heard it here I will be 80 years old rockin purple sequin
jumpsuits if they exist because I it's my aesthetic sparkle it is made out of just
like a soft tulle here and then the lining is a little bit thicker it's like
a you know I don't know what this is exactly it feels like a rayon but it's
like a nicer rayon it's not that sticky one maybe acetate-y but it feels really
nice and it's also really light I've actually already tried it on and I am
obsessed with it so excited I'm obsessed with this skirt it is so light it's like
I'm not wearing anything it's just so fun
the next t-shirt I got because it just spoke to me I've been going through some
pretty rough times right now my grandmother is really sick she's on
Hospice and I've been battled with this feeling of like feeling you know sad and
upset about her passing and then also feeling guilty because I know that she
wouldn't want me to be sad and upset but rather like celebrate her life by
continuing to live mine so I saw this shirt and it just it really spoke to me
and it just says strong as hell and I kind of feel like it's my shirt for
living right now I need to be strong as hell where I am in life right now and
you know sometimes wearing words helps you feel and live those words at least
for me it does so I absolutely love this it's on a standard white t-shirt it's
from a brand that they purchase from called cz natives and I have had their
shirts before and they are very comfortable very soft and I got this in
a 3x and I just love it it's cute and pink and it's gonna give
me some good vibes as I go through some challenges right now which is like what
we all need just a little cheer up when we're going through challenges so this is
the t-shirt it's pretty much a normal t-shirt just a cool phrase
just a real cool phrase now this box I wasn't kidding it's a big ol box I just
also want you to know that there's something in this box that I have been
so excited for that when I get it I'm gonna squeal like a little girl you'll
see in a second okay I got the Box open the first item
lot of noise I feel pumped for this I love plaid I also love vintage plaid
and I saw this skirt and I was like yeah it is an olive green orange and mustard
yellow plaid skirt it has nice little pleating not too heavy a pleat just a
light pleat so this would actually wash really well because the pleats should
hold in the wash it also has this fun little corresponding belt that goes here
you can also swap this for a different belt if you want like a slightly
different look the lining on it is a really soft shiny acetate but not the
crappy acetate but good acetate and the top feels like it's a cotton flannel
now I'm gonna look and confirm yeah so I'm right the shell is 100% cotton and
the lining is polyester I just think this is so cute definitely vintage
inspired but so on-trend with this season which is really about plaid and
kind of that rustic I'm gonna go milk a cow ride a horse and shuck a barn look
but I'm gonna do it real fancy and I'm just obsessed with this skirt so excited
about it literally so excited so I absolutely adore this skirt the only
thing it's like a little irritating is there's no pockets so this shirt comes in
a couple different colors I only say that because I tried for a really long
time to decide which color to get and I went with this cream because I felt like
it was the most versatile the one I could use the most and it's a silky
blouse with a little bit of a puff sleeve which you know I love collared
and then it has a nice little sheen to it comes down to a nice little cuff here
with three buttons which is adorable and looking at the actual construction
of it it feels so silky but I'm trying to find what it's made out of it's a
hundred percent polyester but it really does have that like silky feel to it and
just a beautiful little Sheen which I don't know if you can actually
see on camera but it's got this lovely like not quite um satiny where it's like
so shiny but just like a little glow to it like I like my cheek with a little
bit a highlight that's how this shirt is looks like they weren't dressed for the
occasion oh man this is bringing out rude step
wife vibes oh my god I feel so luxe I feel like I just got a whole bunch of
money if only my feelings were reality I would like lots of money thank you the
next item is a lovely pair of green corduroy pants I love corduroy I
don't know why more people don't like get on the train for corduroy but I
am here for corduroy I find it super comfortable I love when it's like
corduroy with a little stretch like these are you that's a nice stretch
there they're comfortable and they're warm and in New York when it is cold in
the winter you want to be wearing corduroy or velvet anything that's like
a thicker pile fabric aka girthy these are so soft also can we talk about how
corduroy and velour always have like the best feeling against your legs I
don't know why the reverse sides of those fabrics feel so dreamy but they do
these are no exception they do have a little split down at the ankle which is
fun makes a little bit easier for shoes but still definitely could work with
boots and yeah they're just super cute and I'm excited about them look so fall
everything is so fall in this haul it makes me really happy
speaking of which I got really excited and bought a whole bunch of pumpkin
scented candles yeah it's August I don't care my house smells like delicious
pumpkin pie what is your house smell like well maybe you're burning the same
candles but if not you should get on that because it's festive season or at
least I'm like pre-empting it I think I preempt fall more than I preempt
Christmas because I just want like fall fall is my season it's also where my
birthday is October baby okay these are ridiculously
comfortable they are a little big in the waist for me so probably what
I'll do is just wear a belt with them and they have belt loops so that makes
that fairly easy but otherwise super comfortable super comfortable looking at
this up close and my eyes are just going ah so I saw this on site and literally
I don't think I've fallen in love with an item as much as I fell in love with this
plaid just look at it this is amazing plaid with orange blue and yellow just
so you guys whoa if you guys didn't know orange is my favorite color I also
really love the combo of orange and blue together so when I saw this I could not
resist it's got two cute little front pockets here not super functional but
definitely design wise adorable it's a nice little a-line so it gives you a
little bit more room as you go down the hips it is shorter and it too is pretty
heavy weight which is great as we get into the fall season looking at what
it's made of oh get over here it is polyester and wool
on the topper so this is like a thick warm topper and then the lining is
polyester and spandex and the lining does have a little give to it
I just am obsessed with this and the only thing that makes me more obsessed
with this is that it has a matching jacket so in just a second here I'm
gonna show you that so it's definitely really short which I knew it would be
but looking at it now I'm not in love with these pockets maybe it'll look
better with the jacket on but like this feels weird so this is the jacket I was
talking about the same adorable plaid and it is it's just equally as
good this jacket with the skirt obsessed I'm about to work while I work but it's
a little bit shorter on the cut cuz that's the style of this look it's got I
believe this is like a 3/4 length sleeve on it so definitely am a little a hip
modern look if you did not know this plaid coordinated suits super in this
season like it's a style aesthetic that's coming so if you are not on the
plaid train woop woop get on it this is just a really good fall
weight blazer it's got a nice little stand-up collar here it's lined in the
same dramatic blue color as the skirt was same fabrics wool wool and polyester
top and then a polyester lining and it's just gorgeous darling
it has the same kind of pockets here they're a little bit more useful on the
jacket because in the skirt they're kind of in a little weird spot but here they are
sewn shut so I'm not gonna open them yet but they're right here and they're just
fun little pockets and those do actually function as pockets so I'm really
excited about that set it was the thing I was probably most excited about in the
haul actually not true there's one thing that I'm really excited about but it's
kind of lame but it's not lame to me so when we get there I'll talk to you
about it so this dress I'm sorry I'm like so excited bout this haul cuz I
love everything hahaha this dress is so if you don't know I'm going to Shanghai
in October and I've been watching a lot of Chinese dramas because I like to like
learn about the culture and what way to like learn about the culture than
their popular television shows so I saw this and I was just like this is
perfect for Shanghai it's modest but dramatic and ah this is a velvet burnout
dress it's got these amazing batwing loose sleeves that go out and then it
falls at a mid-length not super clingy the print is to die for
I'm obsessed with it now it's it's it's a burnout velvet which means here is a
little bit sheer and I'll just show you through here these flowers right
here like where my thumb is that's sheer underneath it it has a black tank so you
could effectively wear this without the tank or with the tank depending on how
scandaloso you want to be I'm gonna wear it with the tank and I'm just I'm
so excited to go to like a fancy cocktail bar and wear this on the front
it's got this nice little knotted detail right at the bustline so and also it has
like a modesty button so if you want to be scandaloso you leave it open if you
want to be slightly more conservative you can
button it shut and then it comes down again to that knot to detail right here
and you probably can see most of these details a little bit better in the
try on side of the the video just because it's kind of one of those things
the fabric is hard to show on camera without it like being stretched over a
body so one thing about this dress I didn't even notice until I put it on is
that it's a wrap dress that this comes across it gives you like a tulip shape
here at the bottom I will say tulip shaped skirts always give me a ton of
nerves but it's okay because this one has like a little lining underneath it
so even if it were to like stretch open when you sit down which is what happens
there's that lining there to protect you so I was like thank you mustard yellow
parade because I always love mustard yellow and I don't have a mustard yellow
sweater so I got one and I'm not gonna lie I got it to go with the suit cuz I
just thought mustard yellow shirt and that suit bananas so this is a waffle
print mustard yellow top it's a lightweight sweater so it's got a fun
little detail and pattern to it but it doesn't add a lot of weight to the
outfit it is full length sleeves so if you're wearing it underneath a
three-quarter length top it'll be kind of nice cuz you'll get a little peek of
the yellow down below where the jacket ends which is maybe why I picked it
maybe it's just a nice lightweight sweater very versatile very comfortable
but again that pattern is gonna add a little bit of fun and if you look at the
waffle print there is some pointillism detail in there as well there's just
little spots around each waffle section so I think it's really really cute in a
very interesting sweater but also very accessible because it's one color it's
not like a crazy print its basic but it's beautiful I really love this on me
it's probably just cuz it's mustard yellow
here's another blouse that I wanted in 18 colors
seriously it comes in like red and black and white and blush which is what I
finally decided on cuz of my hair which who knows how long I'll have this hair
but I'm making decisions based on my hair these days it's okay it has an
adorable little dolly Dobby collar or Paperboy collar with a little ruffle
around it and a dobby color looks like that so it's not it's more of a
rounded color versus a straight collar we've got a little bit of ruching here
at the shoulder to add a little bit of a puff and it comes down to not much of a
flat like it's not like a full mutton arm like the other one but it comes down
to a cuff that matches what's done on the collar so there's a little bit of
ruffle detail there as you can see and a single button closure and it's a solid
button-down shirt what I will say is it's not actually undone like you can't
unbutton it it's sewn together and there's a little bit of a pattern detail
to the shirt which you can see up close it's a little bit of a dot detail in the
sewing it's a little extra detail that kind of brings the shirt to life and
gives it a little bit more tszuj which I just learned is a Yiddish word I've
been saying it forever but it's a Yiddish word to means to add to or like make
better and it's also spelled super weird so if you want to know how to
spell it just put on the closed captions because I had to explain how to spell it
because in the last haul I used it my close caption person is like what is
this word and I was like it's tszuj it's Yiddish here you go
so other than this being a wrinkly hot mess cuz I just took it out of the bag
and it definitely needs like a little steam ironing I love it it's so cute
is it sad that I like it just cuz it matches my hair cuz that's what my
feelings are right now I'm like oh it looks so good with my hair there's so
many things in this haul I went crazy crazy over clothing oh my gosh I forgot
I got this okay I got this because I just wanted something fun that was
Halloweeny but like not too much effort and it's a jumpsuit that has a
ribcage and a heart and what I love about this talk about like the most easy
jumpsuit to get into because it's got two buttons here on the sleeve so you
just put it on and then button that so it's super easy to get into it's a
lightweight jersey fabric and bum bum bum bum bum pockets
it's so cute so fun so festive without having to go crazy I'm obsessed with it I mean how cute is that
for all my summer Goths you need to get on this because this is perfect wear
for the warm weather that still exists with a little gothy vibe to it I'm obsessed it's so
cute I love it so much I just want to wear this to the airport like it's so comfortable it's
like wearing a onesie it's very pajama like it'd look cute with
like a bandeau top or even like a little crop top underneath but for real tho
this is awesome well okay this is an adorable little blouse to be worn under
like a suit coat I put it as an alternative for the suit I got to see if
it would work out but I loved the bright red color I think it's a super
fun color for fall red could sometimes be too much for people this would be a
red here but this berry color usually works on most skin tones so it's kind of
like you're safe red if you're afraid of wearing a red it has a nice little
slightly darker contrasting detail with the tie here in the front and then again
it is a little bit sheer and it's in a dot pattern so as you can see here the
dot pattern is like that so you can kind of see me so it is a sheer shirt so
if you're afraid of showing a little skin though not much because the dots
are pretty close together this may not work for you but I think it's super rad
so I really like this I will say for me I'm probably always gonna have to wear
it tucked in just because here is just a little bit tight on my hip so I'll
probably always wear it like so but it works perfectly for like tucked in with a skirt
oh I know what these are and I'm so excited about them too okay what happens when you take my two favorite
things corduroy / velour fabric and / also put them together
corduroy overalls in this lovely maroon ish brown color
oh my god and the lining is cats meow I'm so excited about it I'm like literally nuts again these
have buttons down the side which allow you to have more of a fitted feel on the
waist they're a straight long leg corduroy overall so these are bananas and I'm
obsessed you might hear that a bunch this haul
because I was literally like I can't wait till this stuff gets there I can't
wait to try it all on I'm so excited and you know it was great because I was kind
of having a bad day Data's staying with my parents well oh
I just knocked a whole bunch of stuff over Data's staying with my parents right
now so it's weird cuz I come home and he's not here and this haul is making me
feel better because it's just like nice to open a box of stuff you love when
you're feeling kind of like a little sad inside data I miss you mommy loves you
oh my gosh I would wear this exact look out this is
legitimately probably an outfit I will wear in the future here's what I like about
these I like that the bib is smaller I think it's interesting and different and
they are so unbelievably comfortable like I could sleep in these overalls I might
tonight I have an early flight tomorrow I might sleep in them but yeah they're
Super Duper comfortable and I just think they look unique which I'm always
looking out for
this skirt I picked because it's just in my favorite color it's such a rich
floral do you see how awesome that floral is and I just thought I need it
it's gonna look great with my hair it's so fantastico and the colors are just
alive and well and you know a girl loves a skirt with a pocket the lining is
that same kind of upgrade polyester lining it's got a little shine to it
because this is a fancy skirt and fancy skirts need to shine anyway I just
thought it was so cute it's got a little bit of an elastic back here in the back
so it's gonna make it more of a comfort waist the zipper though is located here
on the side so if you know me I just put it on over my head because I don't have
any resistance in this area but if you've got a larger chest and actually
have to do the whole zip unzip thing this is pretty easy because it's on the
side super hard when they're in the back is that just me cuz I feel like it's a
struggle to put something on when the zipper is in the back like seriously
it's like an intelligence puzzle and I'm not smart enough to figure it out
so this skirt is exactly how I imagined it would be it's comfortable it's cute
and it's pocketed plus I think it just looks so fancy
this lovely sweater and I got the colors to match the overalls
not gonna lie and it's got three little buttons here this is our Charter School
sweater that they typically have it's a staple for them they've got a bunch of
different colors but I have not seen this stripy pattern before it just came
out for the season and if you look oh it's gold and burgundy so mustard yellow
and burgundy stripes on a cream base we got kind of burgundy color here around
the neck comes down to a three-quarter sleeve and then that burgundy piping
down at the end and then again to finish in kind of the ribbing at the bottom of
the sweater it's lightweight it's comfortable
I believe it is made out of viscose nylon and polyester it's super soft like
ridiculously soft and colors wise it screams fall
just throwing out there it looks like I'm cheering for Gryffindor when I'm solidly
a Ravenclaw I know Gryffindor's cooler I'm just a nerd
now we get into the non clothing items if you did not know this I love hats and
I've actually been wearing hats a lot and I don't know why I'm not taking
pictures of them but I saw this one and I was like yes Queen oh actually looks
really good on ooh so I got this maroon hat and it's just
Baker boy style Baker hat style I have a black Baker boy hat that I wear a lot
and love and so I was like oh I need to get this in another color because I just
I do this one is super comfortable it looks really great it has the triangle
detail that comes down to that button it's one solid color and it does have
elastic in the back to be very comfortable on your head I will say if
you're looking for hats always look for that elastic because if it doesn't
it didn't really feel tight and uncomfortable on your head especially if
you have a big head like me like I have a really big head so I was kind of a
little nervous this wouldn't fit but it actually it fits really well do I look
cooler now like how much cooler coolness did I go up PS remember when I was talking about
pumpkin candles I wasn't lying there's one two burning right now that's a fall
scent in the kitchen and a pumpkin scent as you can be ......on the first day of
Christmas my true love gave to me not even Christmas what this is a pair of
shoes big surprise because it's in a shoebox like you'd expect it to be a
pair of shoes this pair of shoes gosh I forgot I got these they're so
cute they are a mustard yellow wedge heel pointed adorable what I also love
about this shoe that I noticed when I was taking out of the box
we gotta get this ah got you when there's still a little
thing in that boopy boopy what I noticed when I was taking them out of the box
that was really impressive to me is that when you wear this type of heel this
does get worn down fairly quickly you can usually get it replaced at a shoe
cobbler yes cobblers still exist but they actually gave you a additional like
little rubber thing so you can pull this one off and put a new one on should you
need to so you're gonna get a lot of wear before you have to take them to a
cobbler here's why I like this this whole thing is elasticized so it's gonna
go on your foot but it's also gonna move with your foot it's a nice little kind
of Swedish fabric though it is vegan so if you are concerned about that it is a
vegan suede and it's really cute and it's gonna go with all the things that I
just got that have this color which is like half of this haul oh these are
great too these are along my lines with favorite types of shoe ever it's
velvet these are a velvet flat with a little tie here on the front and let me
tell you I love these if you've heard me heard me complain about buckles and
straps how they drive me nuts this is got that lovely zipper entry you
just unzip slip zip and zip away to fun I'm rhymed a lot I did it I was
wondering what my last rhyme was gonna be and then zip just came to my mind I was
like good job girl they're very very cute and they're like a nice neutral
kind of Mauve-y gray they can kind of go brown or black or whatever hmm the
little detail there again I got it to go with all of this stuff this has been the
one thing that I was most excited about for the whole haul and it's not even
clothing hold on I need to get any open it properly okay I'm just gonna have to
you have to brute strength rip this cuz I cannot find any scissors
are you guys ready I want you to know but in 1993 I desperately wanted one of
these and I did not get it and I have waited since then for this moment when I
would finally get a caboodle it's like straight-up vintage style caboodle Im going to give you guys a moment to marvel at what this is
this is dreams coming true literally this is twoah I am old... twenty years in the
making 20 years in the making more than 20 years 25 years oh my gosh
I'm so old I've wanted this and it's finally come home so dreams come true
if you believe it you will achieve it just sometimes waiting way way way way
in the future well so that is it guys
that is all for my ModCloth haul links to all of the items are down below in

Carl's Jr.® | Froot Loops® mini Donuts | Food Review! ⭐🥣🍩 - Duration: 4:18.
Welcome to peep this out reviews with Ian K Stay Frosty
We're headed into Carl's Jr. to check out their take on an iconic cereal and guess what
with their version of it there's no milk necessary to enjoy it
but I suppose you could always get that on the side guys have a look at the froot loops mini donuts
and easily what's a very solid interpretation of that icon cereal looking really really nice guys
nice and thick on those donuts all the colors are presented pretty nicely
we've got the purple the blue the yellow the red the green
and that familiar aroma to match guys it actually smells just like I cracked open a box of froot loops
here in my car it's very very strong and I gotta the icing is very thick on these
definitely liking how meaty these look here they definitely look really really solid
and for $2.19 it looks like it's a pretty solid pack here guys I gotta say this definitely lights up
the box pretty nicely speaking of the box I have to admit this looks really realy cool
they've got all the marketing all the way around so this is the real deal
the official deal let's see if these actually deliver it's the froot loops mini donuts here at Carl's Jr.
let's peep out this flavor
now the frosting color is pretty spot on for froot loops but guys I think they actually put that into
the donut itself to really round out the experience with this one it looks pretty even
across the board in the donut itself let's give it a shot and see
Lemme start off with the purple one because the donut itself is tinted kind of purple on the bottom
I like that here we go
Oh my god
that's a big froot loop
wow the flavor is spot on
that familiar strong froot loop aroma is matched with the exact same type of feeling
as having a whole bunch of froot loops in your mouth guys with some milk as a kid
this is actually really awesome the donut itself is very fresh very fluffy on the inside
and it's kind of dense too I like that as well
check out the thickness on the inside of this donut guys it's a very dense kind of cakey donut
with the exact type of flavor as a froot loop and I gotta say guys these are super fun to eat
now I wish I would've gotten some milk on the side I think it would've been perfect
very spot on
ya know what I think I'm gonna go down the line and take a bite out of each of the other 4
so that way you guys can get a closer look as well
A nice vibrant yellow color to go with that nice cakey middle on this one
man I'm really diggin' these I'm goin' green sort of
so is green your favorite color because this one looks pretty solid authentic froot loops flavor
done extremely well on these mini donuts
you guys ever watch the pink panther when you were a kid?
I know I did and I think he'd definitely approve of this color for sure what do you think?
pretty nice huh?
and last but certainly not least blue my favorite color
looks like this one's the runt of the litter not as thick as the other 4 but the flavor is spot on
I think you froot loops heads are gonna really flip for these these are really really great
ya know there's really no other way to put this these absolutely rock the flavor like I said
throughout this review is extremely spot on the nice cakiness of the donut itself is absolutely delicious
and although I don't think they bake these fresh on-site when I actually got these they were
kind of all connected inside
guys the quality is absolutely primo
so as if you really need me to confirm it for you right now I'm gonna have the give the froot loops mini donuts
here at Carl's Jr. a rock solid
10 out of 10 but you knew that already right? I mean the flavor is delicious the colors are definitely spot on
and everything about this one just delivers and price point is not too bad for what you're getting
5 of the mini ones with the thickness that it's got is actually not bad for a little over 2 bucks
so guys if you see this at Carl's Jr and Hardee's and I have feeling you're going in the next few of days
jump on over and give these a shot you will not be disappointed awesome
but as always this all based upon my opinion of trying these for the very first time
right now on camera in front of you guys but what do you think? drop some comments down below
how iconic is the froot loops cereal for you and how super excited are you to give this version of it a shot
I'm very curious to hear your thoughts on this one so light up that comment section down below
and let me know and with that this is Ian K closing out another episode of peep this out
bring you brand new content every single week here on my channel so while you stay tuned for that next review
coming real soon in the meantime stay frosty
ya know the possibilities are endless with this type of thing
I can easily see a version of like say TRIX mini donuts or Cap'N Crunch Crunch Berries mini Donuts
Carl's Jr. if you're watching this right now get on that
alright guys until next I'll talk to you soon

Just like you, just like you

just like you
'Cause I'm just like you too
I'll give you all of me
As I give into you, mmm
Give in to me
If you give me all of you, yeah
I'll give you all of me
And I'll give into you
Give in to me
And maybe you're like me too
And maybe you're like me too
And maybe you're like me too
And maybe you're like me too
Maybe I'm just like you
But it's okay 'cause we love the same
Hearts are made to break, People always change
Maybe I'm just like you
Maybe I'm just like you
But you know that I like it
You've been crossing lines
Setting fires, yeah
'Cause we've been setting fires
Don't lie you like it
But I'm no good at compromise
Pissed off when I can't win a fight
Always thinking you can change my mind
And maybe you're like me too
And maybe you're like me too
And maybe you're like me too
And maybe you're like me too
Maybe I'm just like you
But it's okay 'cause we love the same
Hearts are made to break, People always change
Maybe I'm just like you
Maybe I'm just like you
But you know that I like it
You've been crossing lines
Setting fires, yeah
And I've been setting fires
But that's just my type
Yeah I see it in your selfish eyes
Pissed off when you don't win a fight
Why do you always gotta be right

Using My worthless ego as a pretext, I want to get lost in a black and white defense.
how is it with a frivolous, empty heart?
Is it throbbing through your hate? Oh Wait, that's just a silly dream.
Even after uttering the word goodbye, We still say "love you too", Pilling on the lies.
Witnessing your overflowing conscience, I can't help but wave my hands, when it ends in nonsene.
Here we go again, here I've cried again
Putting on a helpless show of pretend.
I wear my outfit standing on the stage, my laughing reasonates.
my thoughts are lost in confusion Fighting until dissolution
Wait, wait This wasn't meant to happen.
The red thread is tangled illusion, on the stage of delusion
Wait, wait. Nothing like this should happen.
This love that i can't hope to touch again
Squeezing, Squeezing as the rope tightens.
It's ok if this LOVE is fickle.
But it, but it still.....
Hurts a little

I remembered I had to meet my friend, Lexi;
her house was far away, so I left in a hurry!
One o'clock, two o'clock, three o'clock, four o'clock, five o'clock,
six o'clock, seven o'clock, eight o'clock, nine o'clock, ten o'clock,
eleven o'clock, twelve o'clock.
I got to Lexi's door and then rapped… "Knock! Knock!"
She answered the door and was pointing to the clock.
The hour hand was right between the five and the four;
the minute hand was at six, pointing down toward the floor.

If you skip-count by five, you'll tell the time lickety-split!

Rocket Man - Elton John Cover - Duration: 5:04.
She packed my bags last night pre-flight.
Zero hour: nine AM.
And I'm gonna be high as a kite by then.
I miss the Earth so much, I miss my wife.
It's lonely out in space on such a timeless flight.
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time 'till touch down brings me 'round again to find.
I'm not the man they think I am at home. Oh, no, no, no ...
I'm a rocket man, rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone.
Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids.
In fact it's cold as hell.
And there's no one there to raise them if you did.
And all this science I don't understand.
It's just my job five days a week.
A rocket man, a rocket man.
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time 'till touch down brings me 'round again to find.
I'm not the man they think I am at home. Oh, no, no, no ...
I'm a rocket man, rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone.
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time 'till touch down brings me 'round again to find.
I'm not the man they think I am at home. Oh, no, no, no ...
I'm a rocket man, rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone.
And I think it's gonna be a long, long time ...

6 Habits That Will Have the Biggest Impact on Your Marriage, Starting Now - Duration: 6:10.
6 Habits That Will Have the Biggest Impact on Your Marriage Starting Now
I think some people look at marriage as one of those things you have to just throw yourself
into, sink or swim—but this is not really the case.
The foundation of a happy marriage can be built up long before you ever say "I do."
How do you build a happy marriage?
By making healthy relationship behaviors a habit.
When treating your partner with love and respect becomes deeply ingrained in your day to day,
it feels less like work and more like love.
Taking time for one another should be a priority that becomes second nature once you do it
long enough.
Here are six habits that will have a positive and transformative impact on your marriage,
starting now.
01.
Greet one another with joy—Every.
Single.
Time.
This habit may seem like one of the easiest to practice, but for many couples it can be
one of the most challenging.
According to Dr. Bill Doherty, author of The Intentional Family, the way a couple greets
each other at the beginning or end of the day can have a huge impact on the quality
of their marriage.
As Dr. Doherty explains, if you greet one another well, you look forward to that reunion.
If you greet each other poorly, you begin to dread seeing each other.
Makes sense, right?
Make a ritual out of greeting one another that you stick with no matter what.
Marriage counselor and Verily contributor Peter McFadden dances with his wife at the
end of every day.
Whether it's a long hug, a kiss, or a cheerful "Hello!
I love you!" stick to it every day.
Your marriage will thank you.
02.
Set aside daily undistracted communication.
Perhaps the greatest enemy of a happy marriage is distraction.
When we let one busy day turn into the next without spending distraction-free time with
our partner, we begin to take them for granted.
According to Dr. John Gottman, storied marriage researcher and author, two minutes of undistracted
communication a day can have more impact on your marriage than spending a whole unfocused
week together as a couple.
Having meals together, sans cell phone, is a great way to get that quality time.
If meals don't work for your schedule, plan to have coffee or tea together at some point
in the day.
Dr. Doherty likes the idea of sharing some kind of hot drink because it has a sense of
ritual and a very clear beginning and end.
03.
Ask a lot of questions.
Closely related to setting aside undistracted communication time, get in the habit of asking
your partner questions—and really listening to the answer.
This is the secret to ever-growing intimacy.
Marriage gets boring when a couple stops learning about one another.
Constantly being in touch with your partner's developing thoughts, ideas, and dreams makes
them feel understood and builds shared meaning between the two of you.
Do you know your partner's worries and stresses at the moment?
What are their hopes and aspirations?
What are their goals this year?
Are they different from last year?
Make it a daily habit to find out.
04.
Affirm one another a lot (and at least once a day).
Affirmation and gratitude are important parts of making your partner feel appreciated and
loved, but it doesn't flow naturally for everybody.
If your love language isn't words of affirmation, showing verbal appreciation can be difficult.
Even if you are a naturally affirming person, it's easy for the day to get away from you
before you have a chance to thank your partner.
The solution?
Make affirmation and gratitude a ritual you live by every day.
Krizia Liquido, Verily's Lifestyle Editor, takes time every evening before bed to show
gratitude and appreciation for her husband.
They each share three—and only three—things they appreciate about the other, from something
they did that day to a personality trait.
Krizia says that limiting it to three things keeps her and her spouse from taking one another
for granted.

05.
Ask for what you want.
According to Zach Brittle, Gottman-certified therapist and co-founder of ForBetter.com,
if there is one skill a couple should master before the wedding day, it's asking for
what you want.
This seems like another habit that would come easily, but Brittle has found it is one of
the most difficult things for married couples to do.
Instead of simply telling our partners what we want, we tend to shroud our desires in
complaints and criticism—two behaviors that are the biggest contributors to marital dissatisfaction.
Why don't we simply ask for what we desire?
We assume our partner knows what we want, we fear the answer to our request, and oftentimes
we just don't know how to ask.
But asking for what we want can be learned and can become an intimacy-building habit
in a relationship.
06.
Keep it 5:1.
According to Dr. Gottman, there really is one secret formula that can be found among
all of the happy-stable couples he has studied: 5 to 1.
Happy couples have positive interactions most of the time—or five times more than negative
interactions, to be exact.
Dr. Gottman found that marital happiness isn't about whether a couple fights or has problems.
What's much more important is that they spend most of their time repairing, laughing,
snuggling—basically, doing things that build up intimacy.
This tendency toward the positive comes naturally to some couples, but it can also be learned
by making it a habit.
By stocking up on positive interactions such as loving greetings, affirmations, and quality
communication, you can protect intimacy and positivity when conflict or unpleasantness
takes a hit.

I don't want to lie, can we be honest?
Right now while you're sitting on my chest I don't know what I'd do without your comfort
If you really go first, if you really left I don't know if I would be alive today
With or without you like night and day Read & repeat every conversation
Being with you, everyday is a Saturday But every Sunday you've got me praying
You got me praying
I don't want to call and you not answer Never see your face light up my phone
Never see you singing "Tiny Dancer" Everytime my head hurts, everytime I'm low
I don't know if I would be alive today With or without you like night and day
Everything about you uncomplicated Here with you, everyday is a Saturday
But every Sunday, you've got me praying
Trying to push it forward man
Are you ready to make it special
You got me praying
Ou La La
Ah, ah, aloooonnnne Ah, ah, ha Ah, ah, aloooonnnne (scratched)
Don't you ever leave me
You got me me me me me
Me don't leave me alone don't you ever
Oh Shit
Hoouuse Man !
Alone Ah, ah, aloooonnnne Ah, ah, ha Ah, ah, aloooonnnne (Sctratched)
Don't you ever leave me eeee
