Unfold Your Mind (How To Think, Mind Power) - Duration: 13:28.
This lesson will bring you a conception of thought which may carry you far above the
level to which you have risen by the evolutionary processes to which you have been subjected
in the past; and, for this reason, you should not be disappointed if, at first
reading, you do not fully understand it.
Most of us disbelieve that which we cannot understand, and it is with knowledge of this
human tendency in mind that I caution you against closing your mind if you do not grasp
all that is in this lesson at the first reading.
For thousands of years men made ships of wood, and of nothing else.
They used wood because they believed that it was the only substance that would float;
but that was because they had not yet advanced far enough in their thinking process to understand
the truth that steel will float, and that it is far superior to wood for the building
of ships.
They did not know that anything could float which was lighter than the amount of water
is displaced, and until they learned of this great truth they went on making ships of wood.
Until some twenty-five years ago, most men thought that only the birds could fly, but
now we know that man can not only equal the flying of the birds, but he can excel it.
Men did not know, until quite recently, that the great open void known as the air is more
alive and more sensitive than anything that is on the earth.
They did not know that the spoken word would travel through the ether with the speed of
a flash of lightning, without the aid of wires.
How could they know this when their minds had not been unfolded sufficiently to enable
them to grasp it?
The purpose of this lesson is to aid you in so unfolding and expanding your mind that
you will be able to think with accuracy, for this unfoldment will open to you a door that
leads to all the power you will need in completing your temple of success.
You will also observe that these principles have been so presented that they lead to success
as measured by material wealth.
This seemed necessary for the reason that to most people the word success and the word
money are synonymous terms.
Obviously, the previous lessons of this course were intended for those who look upon worldly
things and material wealth as being all that there is to success.
Presenting the matter in another way, I was conscious of the fact that the majority of
the students of this course would feel disappointed if I pointed out to them a roadway to success
that leads through other than the doorways of business, and finance, and industry; for
it is a matter of common knowledge that most men want success that is spelled $UCCE$$!
Very well - let those who are satisfied with this standard of success have it; but some
there are who will want to go higher up the ladder, in search of success which is measured
in other than material standards, and it is for their benefit in particular that this
and the subsequent lessons of this course are intended.
Accurate thought involves two fundamentals which all who indulge in it must observe.
First, to think accurately you must separate facts from mere information.
There is much "information" available to you that is not based upon facts.
Second, you must separate facts into two classes; namely, the important and the unimportant,
or, the relevant and the irrelevant.
Only by so doing can you think clearly.
All facts which you can use in the attainment of your definite chief aim are important and
relevant; all that you cannot use are unimportant and irrelevant.
It is mainly the neglect of some to make this distinction which accounts for the chasm which
separates so widely people who appear to have equal ability, and who have had equal opportunity.
Without going outside of your own circle of acquaintances you can point to one or more
persons who have had no greater opportunity than you have had, and who appear to have
no more, and perhaps less, ability than you, who are achieving far greater success.
And you wonder why.
Search diligently and you will discover that all such people have acquired the habit of
combining and using the important facts which affect their line of work.
Far from working harder than you, they are perhaps working less and with greater ease.
By virtue of their having learned the secret of separating the important facts from the
unimportant, they have provided themselves with a sort of fulcrum and lever with which
they can move with their little fingers loads that you cannot budge with the entire weight
of your body.
The person who forms the habit of directing his attention to the important facts out of
which he is constructing his Temple of Success, thereby provides himself with a power which
may be likened to a trip-hammer which strikes a ten-ton blow as compared to a tack-hammer
which strikes a one-pound blow.
That you may understand the importance of distinguishing between facts and mere information,
study that type of man who is guided entirely by that which he hears; the type who is influenced
by all the "whisperings of the winds of gossip" that accepts, without analysis, all that he
reads in the newspapers and judges others by what their enemies and competitors and
contemporaries say about them.
Search your circle of acquaintances and pick out one of this type as an example to keep
before your mind while we are on this subject.
Observe that this man usually begins his conversation with some such term as this - "I see by the
papers," or "they say."
The accurate thinker knows that the newspapers are not always accurate in their reports,
and he also knows that what "they say" usually carries more falsehood than truth.
If you have not risen above the "I see by the papers," and the "they say" class, you
have still far to go before you become an accurate thinker.
Of course, much truth and many facts travel in the guise of idle gossip and newspaper
reports; but the accurate thinker will not accept as such all that he sees and hears.
This is a point which I feel impelled to emphasize, for the reason that it constitutes the rocks
and reefs on which so many people flounder and go down to defeat in a bottomless ocean
of false conclusions.
In the realm of legal procedure, there is a
A principle which is called the law of evidence; and the object of this law is to get at the
facts.
Any judge can proceed with justice to all concerned, if he has the facts upon which
to base his judgment, but he may play havoc with innocent people if he circumvents the
law of evidence and reaches a conclusion or judgment that is based upon hearsay information.
The law of Evidence varies according to the subject and circumstances with which it is
used, but you will not go far wrong if, in the absence of that which you know to be facts,
you form your judgments on the hypothesis that only that part of the evidence before
you which furthers your own interests without working any hardship on others is based upon
facts.
This is a crucial and important point in this lesson; therefore, I wish to be sure that
you do not pass it by lightly.
Many a man mistakes, knowingly or otherwise, expediency for fact; doing a thing, or refraining
from doing it, for the sole reason that his action furthers his own interest without consideration
as to whether it interferes with the rights of others.
No matter how regrettable, it is true that most thinking of today, far from being accurate,
is based upon the sole foundation of expediency.
It is amazing to the more advanced student of accurate thought, how many people there
are who are "honest" when it is profitable to them, but find myriads of facts to justify
themselves in following a dishonest course when that course seems to be more profitable
or advantageous.
No doubt you know people who are like that.
The accurate thinker adopts a standard by which he guides himself, and he follows that
standard at all times, whether it works always to his immediate advantage, or carries him,
now and then, through the fields of disadvantage (as it undoubtedly will).
The accurate thinker deals with facts, regardless of how they affect his own interests, for
he knows that ultimately this policy will bring him out on top, in full possession of
the object of his definite chief aim in life.
He understands the soundness of the philosophy that the old philosopher, Croesus, had in
mind when he said: "There is a wheel on which the affairs of
men revolve, and its mechanism is such that it prevents any man from being always fortunate."
The accurate thinker has but one standard by which he conducts himself, in his intercourse
with his fellow men, and that standard is observed by him as faithfully when it brings
him temporary disadvantage as it is when it brings him outstanding advantage; for, being
an accurate thinker, he knows that, by the law of averages, he will more than regain
at some future time that which he loses by applying his standard to his own temporary
detriment.
You might as well begin to prepare yourself to understand that it requires the staunchest
and most unshakable character to become an accurate thinker, for you can see that this
is where the reasoning of this lesson is leading.
There is a certain amount of temporary penalty attached to accurate thinking; there is no
denying this fact; but, while this is true, it is also true that the compensating reward,
in the aggregate, is so overwhelmingly greater that you will gladly pay this penalty.
In searching for facts it is often necessary to gather them through the sole source of
knowledge and experience of others.
It then becomes necessary to examine carefully both the evidence submitted and the person
from whom the evidence comes; and when the evidence is of such a nature that it affects
the interest of the witness who is giving it, there will be reason to scrutinize it
all the more carefully, as witnesses who have an interest in the evidence that they are
submitting often yield to the temptation to color and pervert it to protect that interest.
If one man slanders another, his remarks should be accepted, if of any weight at all, with
at least a grain of the proverbial salt of caution; for it is a common human tendency
for men to find nothing but evil in those whom they do not like.
The man who has attained to the degree of accurate thinking that enables him to speak
of his enemy without exaggerating his faults, and minimizing his virtues, is the exception
and not the rule.
Some very able men have not yet risen above this vulgar and self-destructive habit of
belittling their enemies, competitors and contemporaries.
I wish to bring this common tendency to your attention with all possible emphasis, because
it is a tendency that is fatal to accurate thinking.
Before you can become an accurate thinker, you must understand and make allowance for
the fact that the moment a man or a woman begins to assume leadership in any walk of
life, the slanderers begin to circulate "rumors" and subtle whisperings reflecting upon his
or her character.
No matter how fine one's character is or what
service he may be engaged in rendering to the world, he cannot escape the notice of
those misguided people who delight in destroying instead of building.
The moment a man begins to make himself felt in the field of industry or business, this
chorus becomes active.
If a man makes a better mouse-trap than his neighbor, the world will make a beaten path
to his door; no doubt about that; and in the gang that will trail along will be those who
come, not to commend, but to condemn and to destroy his reputation.
You are well on the road toward success if you have such a keen conception of life that
you never build a plan which contemplates your requesting another person to do that
which does not bring that person some corresponding advantage in return for compliance with your
request.
As an accurate thinker, it is both your privelege anf your duty to avail yourself of facts.
Even though you must go out of your way to get them.
If you permit yourself to be swayed to and fro by all manner of information that comes
to your attention, you will never become an accurate thinker; and if you do not think
accurately, you cannot be sure of attaining the object of your definite chief aim in life.
Many a man has gone down to defeat because, due to his prejudice and hatred, he underestimated
the virtues of his enemies or competitors.
The eyes of the accurate thinker see facts - not the delusions of prejudice, hate and
envy.
An accurate thinker must be something of a good sportsman - in that he is fair enough
(with himself at least) to look for virtues as well as faults in other people, for it
is not without reason to suppose that all men have some of each of these qualities.
"I do not believe that I can afford to deceive others - I know I cannot afford to deceive
myself!"
This must be the motto of the accurate thinker.
With the supposition that these "hints" are sufficient to impress upon your mind the importance
of searching for facts until you are reasonably sure that you have found them, we will take
up the question of organizing, classifying and using these facts.
Look, once more, in the circle of your own acquaintances and find a person who appears
to accomplish more with less effort than do any of his associates.
Study this man and you observe that he is a strategist in that he has learned how to
arrange facts so that he brings to his aid the Law of Increasing Returns.
The man who knows that he is working with facts goes at his task with a feeling of self-confidence
which enables him to refrain from temporizing, hesitating or waiting to make sure of his
ground.
He knows in advance what the outcome of his efforts will be; therefore, he moves more
rapidly and accomplishes more than does the man who must "feel his way" because he is
not sure that he is working with facts.
The man who has learned of the advantages of searching for facts as the foundation of
his thinking has gone a very long way toward the development of accurate thinking, but
the man who has learned how to separate facts into the important and the unimportant has
gone still further.

It's kind of more like a traditionally applicated tattoo
but it still has a little more stylistic design to it.
I think Cleen has such a strong personality
and I think that he's got what it takes to be a great leader.
I think we have a really strong solid team especially Cleen.
I feel like I can learn the most from him.
As far as style goes I do a lot of American traditional
I do a lot of whatever comes in the door.
But I love American tradition. That's where my passion is.
The first style I started with was actually new school
but as years went on I preferred actually neotraditional now.
Cleen is sassy he's just been doing it
for so long he can do everything.
And I think we have the better coach for sure
when I found out that Cleen was going to be
one of the coaches I was super excited.
I've been a big fan of his work since I got into this game
and I've been a big fan of it to this day.
I definitely look forward
to finally helping them get over the top.
We've got a really strong crew actually everybody on
just bangers everybody's got solid tattoos
get some real real like tough competitors.
My style of tattooing is color realism portraits
and surrealism.
I stick to color realism because I feel like
that's the most challenging type of tattoos to do.
My style is definitely more watercolor.
I like high contrast feminine designs.

what he was elected to do was it not a J and I want to give you the first first
stab at this well I don't recall anybody suggesting that he was elected to be the
disruptive president that he's become quite frankly he's ahead of the he's
ahead of government he's ahead of the executive branch he's in his vitriol and
criticizing for example law enforcement judges prosecutors intelligence services
and the way which he does it this does not advance the cause of democracy we
are the most civil ordered government on earth we are and we've been taught to be
proud of our government we should be we have a wonderful government but for the
president the single-handedly criticized the people that have worked for him in
the manner which he does advances nothing I mean look what he did how he
embarrassed Rex Tillerson look how he's he's integrated Jeff Sessions look how
he suggested the intelligence services the law enforcement agencies the
prosecutors around the country have been engaging in conspiracies this does not
advance the cause of the democracy we've been taught to expect out of a president
it's right Charles what's your take on this well the president has a duty to
take care that the laws be faithfully executed that means he's in charge of
the whole executive branch he and he alone is has the power and the duty to
judge the performance of his Attorney General and of his intelligence agencies
he alone has the ability to classify material to declassify it and to grant
Maris's for people in his administration and even people like John Brennan in
previous administrations it seems to me he's doing his job yeah Charles he was
supposed to change the political norms is he doing that is that a good thing or
a bad thing in your book well I think it depends on what the norms are many great
strong presidents have in norm breakers from Andrew Jackson to
Abraham Lincoln in his own way to Harry Truman to FDR it's not unusual for
presidents to change the way they do the job because the the job of president
doesn't come with a manual a how-to manual and it has to adjust to the
personality and the times of the occupants and as long as he remains
faithful to the Constitution and to the common good so the president gets to
make up a lot of his his own job requirements and performance so Jan do
you believe that the resistance movement no matter what the President does no
matter what the president says we're gonna resist it all levels we're gonna
go after this my words not somebody else's a scorched-earth type of
philosophy that says we can't let anybody have any victory in any place do
you really think that that's resonating with the American people because the
economy's been getting better and I think on foreign policy you can argue
it's a much safer place than it was when that from the time Donald Trump took
over well I'm not suggesting I think quite frankly Donald Trump has been his
own worst enemy I mean look he came and he came into the office having an
opportunity to be a really great president but the the manner in which
he's taken to electronic means of communication to dinner gracious a
resistance movement yeah I mean the Democrats on the other side of the aisle
say we're gonna resist at everything and we're going to have this scorched earth
philosophy is that effective in communicating you're gonna be critical
of Donald Trump right for being a vitriolic type of personality and you
know these mean tweets the resistance movement I mean let's go pick on you
know yell at people while they're eating dinner is that really what you think is
gonna be the winning formula for tonight I don't think that it that you ought to
resist every effort of the president I say just as I thought the Republicans
should not have resisted as they did everything that that President Obama
proposed during his presidency we didn't say that that's not true I've seen
listen even even I believe the Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell vowed
that he was never going to let President Obama have any success the Democrats
have not been there yzma bastok and their opposition to
Donald Trump as the as Republicans were with President Obama that's funniest
thing I've heard tonight but I really do appreciate you gentlemen coming to join
us tonight but that is just absolutely not true thank you gentlemen both I

jeff sessions the Attorney General moments ago and you said Jeff sessions
is the only one who can do this to to to right this wrong ship but he's not doing
it should the president fire Jeff Sessions
congressman I think the president has an obligation to make it clear and I think
he's done that that Jeff Sessions has to step up to the plate and do his job he's
ordered open and transparent communication in other words give
Congress the documents they're asking for in the most unredacted way possible
and what he's done is allowed the bureaucrats to slow walk us and give us
documents that look like a black cow eating a licorice at midnight they're
just all blacks that's right and that's that's unacceptable and so when the
president rightfully so says that if Jeff Sessions won't do it then the
president will in fact use his authority to clear the classified request and the
attorney-client privilege and the presidential prerogatives out of the way
and make it available and this is something that needs to be done of
course you need to make sure that if somebody life is at risk that you
protect them but after that the rest of it really is the president saying he
wants to be open and transparent and every one of his cabinet officers needs
to heed that and provide that kind of information quickly yeah well why
wouldn't he Disick Lassa fie these documents congressman you know when I
asked him that when I interviewed the president in July of this year he said
well some people are saying don't do it you know they don't want me to get
involved in that of course we know that the special counsel is trying to look
for any obstruction but why would that be obstruction wouldn't that just be
shining a light on things making it more transparent what's the downside risk
well one of the interesting things is of course the special prosecutor gets
everything completely unredacted we're only asking to - quite frankly look over
his shoulder and look over the shoulder of other
investigations that should occur understand the president inherited an a
a system that likes to give no-one anything I often say that the most
highly classified thing there is anywhere in Washington is embarrassment
and so often it's it's what they don't want you to know because they don't want
you to they don't want to be embarrassed it's not real classification the book
the president is doing the right thing exactly the opposite of President Obama
he's saying make an open and transparent when Jeff Sessions was a senator he
certainly would have said I want the information he in fact maybe not as
quickly as John McCain made the moral argument that we needed to know about
Benghazi and prevent that from happening again right and he demanded documents
now he needs to be on the other side saying Congress has an absolute right
the American people have a right and he needs to lead that or get out of the way
and when I say get out of the way he somebody has to replace him that will do
it if he won't well you said that the special counsel gets to see everything
unredacted you know a lot of people have been making the point that recently me
included that the special counsels investigation will not have credibility
unless he looked at everything both sides I mean we know that Hillary
Clinton and the DNC paid upwards of a million dollars for that dossier they
spent the money on the dossier then they used the dossier to get a warrant to
wiretap they did not they did not tell the FISA Court that the DNC and Hillary
Clinton paid that million dollars for it and yet you know we haven't heard a word
about this from the Special Counsel Ken Robert Muller continue this
investigation without looking at the FISA process and what took place in 2016
well I think a way to put it I and agree with you is rod Rosenstein needs to give
specific instructions that says you can and should do that and if he isn't
willing to do it we have to look to his own culpability in that and that false
FISA warrant that he had a part in he's a witness let me switch gears real quick
congressman and ask you about China and trade because really stunning
developments on Friday when the president decided to stop Mike Mike
Pompeo from going to North Korea for this planned trip and then talked about
how China is not where he thought they should be
in terms of trade where are we in this battle with China right now you know the
the way you get a deal whether it's a national security deal with North Korea
and their nuclear weapons or a trade deal that begins to give some level of
fairness from China is you've got to be willing to walk away from it the
president is the master of the art of the deal he wants to be there he clearly
will will turn Mike around Mike Pompeo around the secretary in in ours if
there's an opportunity but he's not going to send them there just to have a
pretty portrait of people shaking hands and I think that's the difference in
this negotiator is the deal's off if you're not making progress the deals
back on quickly if you are he's done it before he can do it again but Maria the
thing that I think the American people have to understand is although trade is
a national security issue you cannot continue to give away
hundreds of billions of dollars of the American people's hard-earned money to
China just because China has a bad actor that periodically will misbehave and
they use it as leverage and that's exactly what China continues to do it's
true and they won't even admit that they're taking the IP and that they're
stealing so much technology from the US and forcing the the transfer of text so
we'll see if this strategy works in terms of changing China's behavior we

Young Change-Maker+ helps the community through sport | Youth Olympic Games - Duration: 2:54.
My name is Juan Sanchez and I represented Colombia
as a Young Change-Maker during the
Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games.
As a Young Change-Maker+ I got the chance community
to create a project for my community
for helping the sport development of my country.
using sport as a tool to create peace.
It was a unique opportunity because I realised
I had the chance to actively participate
on my country's development.
My project, The Olympic Workshop
Our mission is to go to marginalised communities
and introduce them to non-conventional
sports in Colombia.
We've chosen sports that are popular around the world
but that are still not very common in Colombia.
We have chosen badminton, jiu-jitsu,
handball, field hockey, laser run and modern pentathlon.
At the end of the day, we leave the sport equipment
so they can keep practicing these sports on their own.
This project began operating in 2017
So far we've managed to go to five schools
in five different communities.
At the beginning, our project was planning to
reach only 2 communities
but thanks to the International Olympic Committee
and national federations,
we were able to reach five communities,
which is a huge accomplishment for us.
What I would like to accomplish in the future
with this project
is to involve more sport federations.
We believe that the more
variety of sports there is the better.
The benefit we've had with these sports
is that they all teach different things.
For instance, teamwork becomes clear in sports
like handball or field hockey.
But when we play badminton,
we're not necessarily on a team,
but we do have an opponent we have to respect
and play fair with.
This gives us the chance to teach different things
through different sports.
It has been amazing to reach such diverse communities
Realising that it has made a real change
in these communities.
and seeing them be so happy at the end of the day
see them motivated to keep practicing with
values like peace and teamwork
that are so very important in day to day life.

HOW DO YOU EVEN BEGIN TO ENGINEER A VOYAGE AT SEA THAT COULD LAST FOR 7 MONTHS OR MORE?
THE CREW ABOARD SEEKER NEEDED FUEL, SPECIALIZED BATTERY STORAGE,
ALONG WITH ENOUGH FOOD AND FRESH WATER
FOR NINE PEOPLE AND ONE LONG-DISTANCE SWIMMER.
THE CREW WORKED WITH CHIEF ENGINEER RASMUS GORDON, WHO TOOK CHARGE OF EVERYTHING FROM
GENERATING WATER AND POWER, TO FUELING THE SHIP.
Ras: When the ship was originally built, it was built as a racing yacht, but that also
means they don't go to sea for more than a month at a time.
So we have extra fuel bladders added to the ship to double the fuel capacity.
We're still depending on not having to use the main engine a lot because that takes up
five times the amount of fuel as the generator.
BUT WHEN STRONG WINDS AND CURRENTS PUSH THE BOAT OFF-COURSE, SOMETIMES THE CREW HAS NO
CHOICE BUT TO RELY ON THE MAIN ENGINE TO GET BACK ON BEN'S LAST GPS COORDINATES.
FOR ELECTRICITY ON THE BOAT, RASMUS RIGGED A DUAL POWER SYSTEM.
THE MAIN BATTERY BANK, POWERED BY SOLAR PANELS AND WIND GENERATORS, IS USED FOR
LIGHTING AND NON-ESSENTIAL ITEMS.
A SMALLER BANK SUPPORTS THE NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT— A SAFETY PRECAUTION
IN CASE THE MAIN BANK SHOULD EVER FAIL.
THESE BANKS ARE COMPOSED OF "AGM" BATTERIES, WHERE THE ELECTROLYTE, THE CONDUCTIVE
MIXTURE OF WATER AND SULPHURIC ACID INSIDE, IS ABSORBED IN GLASS FIBER.
THIS MEANS THESE BATTERIES ARE RESISTANT TO CORROSION, SPILL PROOF, AND DON'T REQUIRE
VENTILATION—SO THEY ARE PERFECT FOR THE ROUGH CONDITIONS ON SEEKER.
ANOTHER MAJOR ENGINEERING CHALLENGE OF A LONG-TERM SEA VOYAGE
IS THE ABILITY TO MAKE FRESH WATER.
Ras: We have two water makers so we always have one backup if the other one fails, and
we have a lot of spares for the water makers, because that is our most important equipment.
WHILE THE BOAT IS MOVING, THE WATER MAKERS RUN SEA WATER THROUGH TWO FILTERS, REMOVING
ANY DEBRIS AND MICROPLASTICS.
THE LIQUID THEN RUNS PARALLEL TO A REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANE,
CREATING FRESHWATER, WHICH IS ESSENTIAL
FOR MORE THAN JUST DRINKING.
Ras: The thing that really determines how long we can be at sea is our fuel and food capacity.
The fresh water is important because we need it for the cooking,
a lot of the cooking is gonna be freeze-dried food.
When Ben finishes swimming he needs to have a fresh water shower to rinse all the salt off his body
to prevent any damages to his skin.
PLANNING FOR THE FOOD ON BOARD WAS A WHOLE OTHER STORY.
Ty: We bought a lot of this fresh food stuff
but it gets really hot down below and together with the
dampness and the heat is not good for preserving the fresh food.
Maks: Whoa whoa whoa!!
What is that?
Ty: I don't know, honestly I don't know but it's coming out of these potatoes
Ty: We can all agree a potato doesn't usually look like that when you eat it
Maria: Yeah, of course.
Ty: But we're going to eat it.
We waste nothing.
THOUGH THE CREW WERE ABLE TO HAVE FRESH VEGETABLES FOR THE FIRST MONTH AT SEA,
THE BULK OF THEIR MEAL PLAN CENTERS ON USING CANNED AND
FREEZE-DRIED FOODS — COMBINED WITH BASES, LIKE
PASTA AND RICE.
AND IF THE CREW IS LUCKY, THEY ALSO MIGHT HAVE THE OPTION OF FRESH FISH.
Paul: Zero fish in 47 days, and 3 fish in 15 minutes.
Maks: We measure and weigh the fish, for one of the research protocols we're doing, and
then we cut open the stomach, see if there's any plastic inside the stomach.
UNFORTUNATELY, THE CREW DID HAVE TO REMOVE PLASTIC FROM THIS FISH.
IT'S A PRIME EXAMPLE THAT UNDERSCORES JUST HOW IMPORTANT RAISING AWARENESS FOR OCEAN
HEALTH IS, AND THAT ALL THIS CAREFUL PLANNING IS WORTH IT.
Maks: People always think 'oh man you're going to be spending 7 months on a sailing boat?'
'That must be ****ing boring.'
Well it it sometimes repetitive, but there's so much to do so it's never boring.
I haven't been bored so far.
AND WITH GOOD REASON — BECAUSE ALTHOUGH THE CREW CAN FEEL AS PREPARED AS POSSIBLE, THERE
ARE CERTAINLY UNPREDICTABLE CHALLENGES AHEAD.

NEVER BEEN MARRIED AND NEVER EVEN REALLY DATED TO ANY DEGREE.
AND SHE SAID GOD TOLD HER, "I WANT YOU JUST TO SERVE ME
WITH GLADNESS, SERVE ME WITH GLADNESS."
AND SO, PERHAPS THERE ARE EVEN PEOPLE THAT GOD WANTS TO STATION
THROUGHOUT THE BODY OF CHRIST THAT JUST ARE ONE OF THOSE KIND
OF PEOPLE.
THEY'RE JUST THERE TO BE AN UPLIFTER AND AN ENCOURAGER
AND TO GIVE AN EXAMPLE OF BEING CONTENT.
YOU KNOW, GOD USES US IN SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS AND I HOPE THAT
YOU'RE PAST THE THINKING THAT IF YOU'RE NOT ON A PLATFORM
SOMEWHERE THEN YOU'RE NOT BEING USED BY GOD.
BECAUSE TO BE HONEST, MOST OF THE WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE
AND IS DONE OUT IN THE WORLD IS DONE ONE ON ONE BY PEOPLE THAT
ARE OUT THERE ON THEIR JOBS, IN THE MARKETPLACE, IN THE STORE.
MOST OF THE PEOPLE THAT NEED HELP ARE NOT COMING TO CHURCH.
I MEAN NOW, I'M SURE WE ALL NEED HELP IN HERE TODAY BUT MOST OF
THE PEOPLE THAT ARE A LOT MORE DESPERATE FOR HELP THAN YOU ARE
ARE OUT THERE.
THEY DIDN'T KNOW TO COME IN HERE TODAY.
SO, WE COME TOGETHER LIKE THIS TO LEARN AND GROW SO WE CAN THEN
GO OUT AND BE THE WITNESSES THAT CHRIST WANTS US TO BE TO CHANGE
THE WORLD.
EVERY SINGLE CHRISTIAN IS CALLED INTO MINISTRY.
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU ARE CALLED INTO MINISTRY.
WE ALL HAVE THE MINISTRY OF INTERCESSION.
IT'S OUR MINISTRY TO PRAY FOR OTHER PEOPLE AND WE ALL HAVE
THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION, THE BIBLE SAYS, WHICH IS BEING
THAT GO-BETWEEN THAT HELPS TO BRING RECONCILIATION BETWEEN
THE LOST AND GOD.
SO, YOU ALL HAVE A MINISTRY, FINDING OUT THE PARTICULAR WAY
THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO MANIFEST THAT MINISTRY MAY BE ONE THING,
MORE THAN LIKELY IT'S GONNA BE SEVERAL THINGS, BUT I STOP BY
SAYING THAT THE ONLY WAY YOU'RE GONNA EVER GONNA FIND OUT IS TO
STEP OUT AND FIND OUT.
DON'T BE AFRAID TO TRY THINGS.
IT WON'T TAKE VERY LONG AND YOU'LL KNOW IF IT'S JUST
SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN DO OR IF IT'S THE THING THAT GOD WANTS

THAT SPECIAL THING THAT WE DON'T GET THE TRAINING THAT WE NEED
FOR THAT THING BY DOING ALL THESE OTHER THINGS THAT GOD
MAY WANT US TO DO.
YOU MIGHT SERVE IN THE HELPS MINISTRY.
YOU MIGHT, I DON'T KNOW, BE ASKED TO HELP CLEAN THE CHURCH.
IT MIGHT NOT BE SOMETHING THAT'S VERY ATTRACTIVE OR ANYTHING THAT
YOU FEEL IS WORTH VERY MUCH BUT A LOT OF TIMES IN OUR LIFE GOD
RUNS US THROUGH THE PACES, I GUESS I CAN SAY, TO CHECK OUR
ATTITUDE JUST TO SEE, "ARE YOU WILLING TO DO ANYTHING THAT I
ASK YOU TO DO OR DOES IT HAVE TO BE SOMETHING BIG IN ORDER
FOR YOU TO BE WILLING TO DO IT?" SO, DON'T--SAY IT AGAIN, DON'T
BE AFRAID TO STEP OUT AND FIND OUT AND JUST BECAUSE YOU STEP
OUT INTO SOMETHING AND IT'S NOT RIGHT FOR YOU, THAT DOESN'T MEAN
THAT YOU MADE A MISTAKE IN STEPPING OUT INTO IT.

LIFE HAD GOD TELL HIM EXACTLY WHAT HE WANTED HIM TO DO.
HE SAID, "GOD ALWAYS WORKED WITH ME, BUT HE MADE ME GET OUT THERE
AND TRY THINGS, AND PRAY ABOUT THINGS, AND DO THINGS."
SO, IF YOU TAKE TOO MUCH OF A SUPERNATURAL LOOK AT WHAT IT
MEANS TO BE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT,
MANY TIMES YOU'RE GONNA MISS WHAT GOD REALLY WANTS YOU
TO DO BECAUSE IN MANY WAYS THE WAY THAT GOD SPEAKS TO US
AND DEALS WITH US IS A LOT MORE NORMAL THAN WHAT YOU

THINGS THAT GOD ASKS YOU TO DO, CHANCES ARE YOU'LL NEVER HEAR
HIM TELL YOU ANYTHING BIG.

BACK IN THE '70S, I ALREADY HAD THREE CHILDREN AND CERTAINLY WAS
NOT IN A PLACE WHERE I COULD GO TO BIBLE COLLEGE BUT EVEN THOUGH
YOU CAN'T GO SOMEWHERE TO GO TO SCHOOL TO BE TRAINED FOR
MINISTRY, YOU CAN ALWAYS GO TO THE SCHOOL OF THE HOLY GHOST.

JOYCE: YOU CAN ALWAYS ASK GOD TO BEGIN TO TRAIN YOU RIGHT
WHERE YOU'RE AT IN WHATEVER IT IS THAT YOU DO.
WELL, I WAS A HOUSEWIFE AND PART OF THAT TIME I WAS STILL WORKING
A FULL-TIME JOB BUT AFTER A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME, BECAUSE
I WASN'T GETTING ANYTIME TO STUDY, I FELT LIKE GOD WANTED ME
TO QUIT MY JOB AND SPEND AS MUCH TIME AS I COULD STUDYING
THE BIBLE.
I HAD A DREAM IN MY HEART, BUT THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE THAT IT
WAS EVER GONNA HAPPEN.
A LOT OF TIMES YOU MAY WANT TO DO SOMETHING BUT IF YOU DON'T
TAKE THE TIME TO--FOR THE PREPARATION THEN YOU'LL NEVER
BE RELEASED INTO WHAT IT IS THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO.
SO, IN ORDER FOR ME TO QUIT MY JOB, WE WERE GONNA HAVE TO TAKE
A BIG STEP OF FAITH BECAUSE OUR BILLS WERE $40 A MONTH MORE THAN
WHAT OUR INCOME WAS GONNA BE.
AND SO, BACK THEN WAS WHEN I LEARNED HOW TO TRUST GOD FOR
MONEY AND MOST OF THE THINGS THAT HE DID FOR US WERE
SEEMINGLY LITTLE SMALL THINGS BUT THEY REALLY HELPED ME BUILD
MY FAITH IN GOD.
I HAD A FEW FRIENDS AND, YOU KNOW, WE DID THINGS LIKE GO TO
THE FARMER'S MARKET ONCE A WEEK AND THINGS LIKE THAT, BUT I HAD
A GROCERY STORE THAT WAS RIGHT DOWN THE STREET FROM MY HOUSE
AND SO IT SEEMED LIKE I ENDED UP IN THE GROCERY STORE
TWO, THREE TIMES A WEEK.
AND AS UNIQUE AS THIS MIGHT SOUND, GOD TAUGHT ME SOME OF
THE MOST PROFOUND LESSONS THAT I'VE LEARNED THAT HAVE HELPED ME
ALL MY YEARS IN MINISTRY IN THAT GROCERY STORE.
AND REALLY, I'M TELLING YOU THIS BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO URGE YOU
TO WATCH FOR HOW GOD IS TRYING TO TEACH YOU IN THE ORDINARY
EVERYDAY AFFAIRS OF EVERYDAY LIFE.
YOU CAN LEARN SOME AMAZING LESSONS JUST AS YOU GO ABOUT
YOUR NORMAL EVERYDAY.
SO, ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS THAT GOD BEGAN TO DEAL WITH ME ABOUT
WAS PUTTING MY GROCERY CART BACK IN THE SPACE THAT WAS MARKED OFF
FOR GROCERY CARTS.
AND, YOU KNOW, MOST PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO DO THAT.
THEY WANT TO LEAVE IT OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PARKING LOT TO
CHASE SOMEBODY'S ELSE'S CAR DOWN OR IT'S AMAZING HOW HARD WE WILL
WORK AT TRYING TO KICK THE WHEELS IN A CERTAIN
DIRECTION SO IT WON'T ROLL.
IT WOULD TAKE MUCH LESS TIME TO GO PUT IT BACK WHERE IT BELONGS
BUT INSTEAD OF DOING THAT, WE DO--SPEND ALL THIS TIME TRYING
TO GET IT NOT TO GO ANYWHERE AND THEN IT ENDS UP RUNNING INTO
SOMEBODY'S CAR ANYWAY.
AND IT'S SAD FOR ME TO SAY THIS BUT IT TOOK ME TWO YEARS TO GET
FULLY OBEDIENT.
SO, IT'S OBVIOUS THAT I WAS A LONG WAY AWAY FROM BEING
WORLDWIDE MINISTRY MATERIAL.
HOW MANY OF YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M SAYING?
IF YOU'RE NOT GONNA OBEY GOD WHEN HE TELLS YOU TO DO
SOMETHING LIKE WALK WITH INTEGRITY OR TO DO SOMETHING
WITH EXCELLENCE, YOU KNOW, LIKE SOMETHING THAT WE ALL DO 'CAUSE
WE FEEL LIKE THAT GOD DEALS US WITH TO DO IT.
WE STAY IN A LOT OF HOTELS AND EVERY TIME WE LEAVE OUR HOTEL
ROOM, WE TURN ALL THE LIGHTS OUT AND BECAUSE THAT'S SOMETHING
THAT I JUST FELT LIKE GOD PUT ON MY HEART.
NOW, YOU KNOW, I CAN HAVE THE ATTITUDE WHAT DO I CARE?
I PAID FOR THE ROOM, THEY GOTTA PAY THE BILLS.
BUT SEE, HOWEVER YOU TREAT OTHER PEOPLE, YOU'RE SOWING A SEED
THAT'S GONNA COME BACK TO YOU AT SOME TIME IN YOUR LIFE.
SO, I WASN'T IN BIBLE SCHOOL BUT THOSE WERE LESSONS THAT GOD
WAS TEACHING ME.
HE WAS TEACHING ME HOW TO BE EXCELLENT.
HE WAS TEACHING ME HOW TO BE HONEST.
ANOTHER THING THAT HE TAUGHT ME IN THE GROCERY STORE WAS WE WERE
ON A VERY TIGHT BUDGET, $70 EVERY TWO WEEKS FOR GROCERIES
AND SO I HAD TO GO WITH MY COUPONS AND MY CALCULATOR
AND MAKE SURE THAT NOTHING WENT OVER.
AND YOU HAVE A TENDENCY WHEN YOU GO TO THE GROCERY STORE,
ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE HUNGRY, YOU'LL PUT A LOT OF STUFF IN
YOUR CART THAT BY THE TIME YOU GET TO THE LAST AISLE, YOU
REALIZE YOU CAN'T PAY FOR ALL OF IT AND SO YOU HAVE TO PICK
THROUGH AND DECIDE WHAT YOU CAN KEEP AND WHAT YOU CAN'T.
AND I, LIKE MANY OTHER PEOPLE AT THAT TIME, I WOULD JUST TAKE OUT
WHAT I DIDN'T WANTS AND JUST PUT IT ANYWHERE, WHEREVER I WAS AT
IN THE STORE.
YOU KNOW, THAT'S WHY YOU FIND A HEAD OF LETTUCE IN WITH
THE CLEANING SUPPLIES IN A GROCERY STORE.
IT WAS PEOPLE LIKE I USED TO BE THAT DO THAT.
WELL, YOU KNOW, I DIDN'T WANT TO GO ALL THE WAY FROM THE MILK AND
EGG AISLE WHICH IS ALL THE WAY OVER HERE ON THE END ALL THE WAY
BACK OVER TO THE PRODUCE, YOU KNOW, TO PUT AWAY A HEAD OF
LETTUCE, WHY?

WELL, I DIDN'T WANT THREE CHICKENS.

KIDS TO THE STORE WITH ME AND EACH ONE OF THEM WOULD GET
THREE CHICKENS IN THEIR CART, DAVE WOULD HAVE THREE,
THE KIDS WOULD ALL HAVE THREE, I'D HAVE THREE.
WE'D ALL HAVE OUR COUPONS AND THEN THE HOLY SPIRIT STARTED
CONVICTING ME.

JOYCE: I MEAN, DO I HAVE TO GET CONVICTED ABOUT CHICKENS?
DON'T I HAVE THINGS MUCH MORE SERIOUS IN MY LIFE THAN

WRONG THEN THAT MEANS THAT YOU ARE.
WELL, TO BE HONEST, I'D BEEN A CHRISTIAN FOR A LONG TIME BUT
I DIDN'T KNOW STUFF LIKE THAT.
NOBODY WAS TEACHING ME THAT KIND OF STUFF AND I HAD SOMEBODY
RECENTLY ACTUALLY A WELL-KNOWN MINISTER, HE WAS AT A CONFERENCE
WHERE I WAS TEACHING SOME THINGS ON EXCELLENCE AND HE SAID,
"I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE HEARD THAT KIND OF STUFF."
NOW, HOW CAN WE BE GROWN ADULTS AND NOT KNOW WHAT EXCELLENCE
AND INTEGRITY IS?
YET MANY PEOPLE IN THE WORLD DON'T AND THAT'S WHY THE WORLD

AND GOD STARTED TELLING ME TO PICK THEM UP AND PUT THEM BACK

AND I THOUGHT, WELL, WHY SHOULD I CLEAN SOMEBODY ELSE'S MESS UP?
THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.
BUT THEN I FELT LIKE THE LORD SAID TO ME, "WELL, WOULD YOU
LIKE TO HAVE SOMEBODY CLEAN YOUR MESSES UP SOMEDAY?"
AND SO NOW GOD HAS PROVIDED AND HAS FOR YEARS AND YEARS ALL
THE HELP THAT I NEED IN ORDER TO DO WHAT I'M DOING.
LET ME TELL YA SOMETHING, SOMETIMES WHEN YOU, OR WE, WHEN
WE DISOBEY GOD IN SOME OF THESE LITTLE THINGS, WE DON'T REALLY
REALIZE THAT WE'RE CREATING A PROBLEM FOR OURSELF THAT
WE'RE GONNA DEAL WITH LATER.
SO, WHEN GOD TELLS YOU SOMETHING LITTLE TO DO, KEEP IN MIND THAT
ANYTHING GOD SAYS, THERE'S NOTHING LITTLE ABOUT IT.
SO, IF GOD BOTHERS TO TELL YOU ABOUT IT, THEN THAT MEANS THAT
IT'S A BIG AND AN IMPORTANT THING IN YOUR LIFE AND YOU NEED
TO JUST, IN OBEDIENCE, CHILD-LIKE OBEDIENCE, AMEN?
JUST LIKE A LITTLE KID IT MAY SEEM SILLY BUT CHILD-LIKE

THAT'S WONDERFUL BUT I'LL TELL YOU YOU'LL NEVER GET AROUND TO
DOING THAT IF YOU DON'T DO THESE LITTLE THINGS THAT I'M TELLING
YOU TO DO.
THAT'S ALWAYS GONNA BE PART OF THE TRAINING BECAUSE, WHAT DOES
THE BIBLE SAY?
IT'S THE LITTLE FOXES THAT SPOIL THE VINE.

THROUGH ONE WHOLE DAY WITHOUT UTTERING ONE COMPLAINT IT WOULD
BE AN OUTSTANDING MIRACLE FROM GOD, AMEN?
I'LL BET SOMETHING THAT GOD HAS SPOKEN TO ALL OF YOU, INCLUDING
ME, HUNDREDS OF TIMES IN YOUR LIFE, "YOU DON'T NEED
TO SAY THAT."

JUST, YOU KNOW, JUST GETTING READY TO SAY SOMETHING.
SOMETIMES I'LL NOTICE I'M GETTING READY TO SAY SOMETHING

OBEDIENT AND ANYTIME HE TELLS ME NOT TO SAY IT, I DON'T BUT I'M
NOT THAT GOOD YET, THANK GOD I'M NOT WHERE I USED TO BE BUT I'M
NOT WHERE I NEED TO BE EITHER.
HOWEVER, I AM HAPPY THAT I'M STILL MAKING PROGRESS.

WANTS YOU TO, IT JUST FEELS RIGHT.

YOU KNOW, NOBODY LIKES TO WEAR CLOTHES THAT ARE UNCOMFORTABLE.
WE LIKE TO BE COMFORTABLE AND I LIKE TO BE COMFORTABLE
IN MY RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
AND SO, SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA TRY A FEW THINGS BEFORE YOU COME
AROUND TO WHAT YOU'RE COMFORTABLE WITH.
SO, YOU CAN KNOW WHAT GOD IS WANTING YOU TO DO JUST BY,
"DO I FEEL RIGHT ABOUT THAT?" SO, I CAN HAVE PREACHED A SERIES
IN MESSAGES AT ONE POINT AND JUST THOUGHT THEY WERE
THE GREATEST MESSAGES, THE GREATEST THING.
NOW MAYBE FOUR OR FIVE YEARS LATER I CAN PICK THOSE UP
AND I THINK, YOU KNOW, I'M GONNA RE-PREACH THAT.
THAT WOULD REALLY BE GOOD.
AND I CAN START TO LOOK OVER THE NOTES AND IT JUST FALLS SO

Flagstaff Lake ~ How To Camp In The Rain - Duration: 12:01.
did I mention you can stay here up to 14 days for free and you might just want to
in some places it's really pretty I've been keeping my eye out for a moose
or a deer really anything haven't seen anything yet then we'll keep looking
I think I found the other three waterfront campsites you're not getting
an RV through here but we'll take the bike through here and go check it out
yes yeah I don't know there's some big holes in here not to mention how wide
the trail is your RV or your caller is just gonna get tore up through here
sides and the top it's still pretty maybe you want to do some tent camping
bring your little Subaru through here and camping your tent down this way
otherwise I kind of like my spot uh yeah see big old puddles of water oh well and
there we go site one right there and if the bugs
will get out of my face just I can't even outrun the skeeters around here
like a mess oh my gosh you know some people just say the mosquitoes ruin the
whole camping experience they are flat-out biting the heck out of me out
here you see them all anyway this is bit my ear this is the beach pretty right oh
my god oh my god really bite hard I'm out of here quite possibly the meanest
mosquitoes in the country it hurts when they bite all right back to my campsite
here with the citronella mosquitoes around this we had a couple crazy people
come through late last night about 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. they must have been doing
50 miles an hour on this dirt road it was I thought they're gonna die not that
they're going to turn the trucks over and die and
I brought up the cones and although I don't have any examples to show you just
yet it's weird because people will drive down the road and then again a visual
bright colored cone their brain just tells them to slow down
and act and just be confused why are these cones here let's just go slow and
take it easy then they get past the campsite and nothing there's nothing
wrong with it I'm not blocking the road I ain't just putting cones out on the
line right next to my campsite and it's it's funny how that works this is day
three forests out here at the Flagstaff Lake free camp ground and yesterday was
just kind of a washout today it rained till about maybe 3 p.m. and that's when
I can actually I am testing out my new lens so some of the clips you saw in the
beginning of this video were shot with my new image stabilized 75 to 300
millimeter zoom lens and so it looks like it turned out pretty good I just
stood out here with an umbrella over the camera and lens to get some of those
shots but yeah otherwise I kind of just like filming when it's nice you know
just just to change things up I really like this place
gonna rank it up there in the top two so far for free campsites in the state of
Maine in the summer time
well the rain and thunder just started up again so maybe some indoor activities
that's right coffee at night like the sound of the rain you guys have been
asking about this logo what's going on with this can you see it says nomadic
fanatic on the side there yeah this is an original well the finished product
was actually designed by my girlfriend more on that later but here's the first
design I love RV hookups this was my first
design which has just got a lot going on and the new design which Suzanne made is
this one which has more of like an 80s feel a little less going on it says I
love hookups but it's got the two RVs in there hooking up and it says nomadic
fanatic and smaller writing this is new merchandise for the nomadic fanatic
channel guys so if you want to get your hands on a limited edition t-shirt in

that'll take you to bonfire I've had great success with bonfire but this is
going to be a very limited merchandise deal this is not something that
stockpile up as you guys have remember from the past we do the original design
we do it for a limited time then that's it

so I'm used to the rain I actually don't mind it in small little chunks but back
there you know just rains and rains and rains all the time
and I'm not gonna like dance around in the rain if I don't have - I got narvi
and come inside I can stay dry and I have lots of indoor activities I got my
ps4 and my ps2 I've got my Nintendo 64 system with all the games I can watch
Netflix and move I can watch Netflix here but you know movies and stuff and
one of my favorite things to do on a rainy day is to play guitar hero for the
ps2 I have mentioned that I have every game on my console that they came out
you wanna go first you know I'll go first you go second
you're afraid of this guitar huh it makes loud loud noises and you don't
like it want to bite it you can bite it not not not the chords oh please

Welcome to Live Inspired with John O'Leary.
Tom Logan shared an awesome quote with me today that I wanted to share with you.
It is:
What's the point of tip-toeing through life so that you can arrive safely at death?
That quote really hits me, and I imagine as you sit back and hear it again today,
What is the point of tip-toeing through life so you can arrive safely at death?
There's really not a whole lot of point, but if you think about it, this is frequently
what we do in our jobs, in our relationships, with family dynamics, with what we know to
be true and important and worthwhile in the community.
We tip-toe through things so that we can safely get through this day, through this week, maybe
even through this year, eventually so that we can safely arrive at death.
Tom Logan has a very different perspective on it all.
He doesn't do things that put him on purpose in harm's way, but when he sees an opportunity
to make a difference, when he sees an opportunity to stand up, to say the right thing, to make
a difference, to take an action that will change, transform, elevate someone else's
life, he never hesitates to move forward boldly.
I had the great pleasure and privilege of interviewing Tom on our most recent Live Inspired
podcast.
It is an awesome one!
This gentleman heard about a great need in Africa for water.
He heard about it in 1985.
He went with a couple friends.
They dug one single well.
He's been digging and drilling and bringing more friends ever since.
In the last 30+ years, he's dug more than 30,000 clean, sustainable wells for those
that otherwise would not have access to clean water.
This man is not tip-toeing through life.
He is living out loud, boldly, teaching the rest of us how we can do it in our own work,
relationships, and lives.
So today, I wanted you to hear that expression loud and clear, and then maybe boldly step
into it.
