it's a good shot little girl through shadow so maybe that's where that all
comes from never imagined so I'm a little boy from Indiana but I'm still
growing yes you are every day we all are good morning
getting fatter instead of taller come on Rob you're being hard on yourself
you're watching proxy friends first on this Monday morning I'm Jackee upon yet
I'm Rob smitten for Heather Childers today thanks for starting your day with
us she's in for Jillian we're both in for Heather
everybody's filling in for somebody the feud between ex-cia director John
Brennan and President Trump taking yet another term the Trump administration
now suggests Brennan may have misused classified intelligence but Brennan
isn't backing down that's right if Jenkins is live in Washington with a war
of words is heating up this morning hey Grif hey Robin Jackie good morning yeah
that's right Brandon is not backing down just days after the former CIA director
had his lifetime security clearance revoked he doubled down on his decision
to speak out against the president I have seen the lights blinking red in
terms of what mr. Trump has done and is doing and is bringing this country down
on the global stage and he's fueling and feeding divisiveness within our country
he continually lies the American people and the types of things that he's doing
I think I need to speak out and so I've been speaking out rather forcefully and
while critics are accusing the president of playing politics with Clearances
National Security Advisor John Bolton hitted Brennan may have misused
classified information a number of people have commented that
he couldn't be in the position he's in of criticizing President Trump and his
so-called collusion with Russia unless he did use classified information when
he was director of the CIA I was very troubled by his conduct by
statements he made in public and by what I thought was his politicization of the
intelligence community but another former CIA director Leon Panetta came to
Brennan's defense if somebody uses classified information or reveals
classified information or misuses that in a way while he's exercising the
viewpoint then I think that crosses a line but that was not the case here now
Brennan is just one of 10 intelligence officials that the White House is
considering revoking clearances and on Friday the president hinted if the only
ones still currently working for the government assistant attorney general
Bruce or could be next I think Bruce or is a disgrace I suspect I'll be taking
it away very quickly for him to be in the Justice Department and to be doing
what he did that is a disgrace now that list which critics have deemed an
enemies list includes former FBI director James Comey denied director
James clapper national security adviser Susan Rice and former acting Attorney
General Sally Yates guys you've all heard that list all last week
it looks like the White House is taking it a lot more seriously with these under
review we'll find out what this week brings all right Griff thanks so much
interns at former CIA director John Brennan may have misused classified
intelligence they're adding fuel to the president's fire as he considers yanking
clearances from nine other Obama era officials Texas congressman and member
of the House Homeland Security Committee John Ratcliffe says revoking Moore
clearances is only appropriate if there's proof there's been they have
been abused I like the policy of extending clearances to former
intelligence and law enforcement officials for the purpose of being able
to provide advice and counsel to their successors in John Brennan's case he
clearly wasn't advising and counseling he was leveling accusations accusations
of treason he said that Donald Trump was a
despicable demagogue who belongs in the dustbin of history so
I agree with the privileged I also agree with revoking the privilege when it's
been abused so in John Brennan's case I think it's appropriate and with respect
to some of the other people under consideration I think it's entirely
appropriate when someone at the Department of Justice or the FBI or in
our intelligence community is under investigation or you've been criminally
referred or has been fired or demoted because of misconduct that you were
event you revoked their security clearances why would you give them
access to national security information under those circumstances all right no
word when a decision on pulling clearances from those other officials
could be announced they're down to desperation time they have to write a
report and they don't have a single bit of evidence president trunk confirmed
that he allowed him again to answer questions and molars investigation into
Russian meddling in the 2016 election all right the jury could return a
verdict today in the Paul Manafort fraud trial the former Trump campaign manager
potentially faces life in prison if he is convicted on all charges and even if
he's acquitted he still faces an uphill battle that's for sure but as Garrett
Toni explains his lawyers are confident it's back to work for the jury and Paul
mana Ford's trial after Judge TS Ellis told them not to speak with anyone about
the case and to put it out of their mind until 9:30 Monday morning this will be
day three of jury deliberations as they review all the evidence from the trial
including testimony from 27 witnesses and hundreds of exhibits prosecutors
presented including financial statements loan applications tax documents emails
and photographs during the first day of deliberations the jury passed a note to
the judge asking for questions including please define reasonable doubt to that
judge Ellis responded quote the government is not required to prove the
defendant guilty beyond all possible doubt only beyond all reasonable doubt a
doubt based on reason with no verdict after 14 hours of deliberation Paul
Manafort attorneys are feeling confident about their chances very good
a fair trial that stretch Ellison short mr. Rappaport and he does this case
against Paul Manafort is largely believed to be special accounts of
robber molars best and strongest well we don't know that for certain we will
likely start to find out in just a few weeks because next month the former
Trump campaign Chairman is scheduled to go on trial in DC on separate charges
including witness tampering conspiracy to defraud the US and failing to
register as a foreign agent in Washington I'm Garrett ne Fox News right
the Iranian currency and their economy is in freefall think the Iranian regime
finds themselves to be in a very precarious position you know I think
that Iranian people the expectations economic expectations had to be rising
after the jcpoa was signed they might have believed that their economic
situation would get better and in fact it's getting worse Iran has long
experience with protest movement the green movement and they've always been
concerned about the potential for Arab Spring coming to Iran with with populist
uprisings that could threaten the regime so watch for the potential for increased
domestic repression and Iran while secretary Pompeo who just announced that
Brian Hook would be our Special Representative for Iran seeks to message
the Iranian people and deliver really a coherent strategy for dealing with
Iran's aggression right and it could get even worse if the US starts sanctioning
countries that are buying Iranian oil as the threat need to do alright Daniel
Hoffman thank you so much for your time this morning we do appreciate it
my pleasure the time is now 20 minutes after the hour first Governor Andrew
Cuomo started a war of words with President Trump after saying this you'll
remember we're not going to make America great again
it was never that great here he goes again wait until you hear what the New
York liberal just said in a church and milk or water those could be the only
two options that your kids have because California apparently knows what's best
the restaurant restriction proposal that has your comments pouring in stay tuned
alright welcome back and listen to this a leader of the me2 movement is now
accused of paying off her own sexual assault accuser according to the New
York Times Italian actress Asia Argento paid a three hundred and eighty thousand
dollar settlement to Jimmy Bennett now Bennett claims that Argento assaulted
him in 2013 when they were working on a movie there is right there Bennett was
17 at the time Argento was 37 the actress was one of the first women to
come forward and accuse Hollywood movie mogul
Harvey Weinstein of sexual assaults a Florida Democrat tries to rally a
crowd with a sick joke about the president
that's congressman Alcee Hastings speaking at an event near Fort
Lauderdale the 81 year old has been a longtime critic of President Trump who
boycotted his inauguration all right Andrew Cuomo's Warp words against
President Trump now ramping up even more the New York Governor delivering his
latest jabs during a political speech at a Brooklyn Church mr. Trump is the great
divider in chief I've known you for 30 years
you may be a select salesman who fooled many people in this country but you
didn't fool me and you didn't fool New Yorkers with a favorable crowd there I'm
also calling President Trump quote on American and King Trump the governor has
been under fire for the comments that he made last week saying America was never
that great no kids allowed a German restaurant is
banning children to give adults a quote oasis of peace at dinner time if there's
such a thing the owner says he's sick of parents who
can't control their kids he claims children bother his guests by
pulling on tablecloths and throwing wine glasses of course not my kids rob me I
don't do that parents do nothing to stop them he says so Germany's
anti-discrimination office says he could be sued but the owner says his customers
approve of a new policy you know what if you don't like it don't go there that's
my opinion I don't want my kids there thank you first like that as a mom
that's a bold statement as somebody with no children I think the guys that aren't
accurate well you spend a lot of money in some of these restaurants too so and
I don't want to be that person that ruins it for you so I'd rather stay home
and have PB&J all right we're gonna burn us up right there before we take anybody
off all right California wants your kids to put the soda down state lawmakers
proposing a bill that would only give your kids to drink options at
restaurants either milk or water now this could tick people off they say the
goal is to support parents efforts to feed their kids nutritiously and you
guys at home have some pretty strong feelings on this proposal yeah Teresa
Murray writing on Instagram quote unless they're eating out every day this won't
make a difference up to parents to care more about their child's health and dawn
on Twitter says quote outrageous but after all it is California Mikael
commenting on Facebook saying they can restrict what a child can eat but can't
restrict the number of criminals pouring over the borders you know Bloomberg
tried this in New York with the soda ban and didn't go too well for him we'll see
how those for California all right a time is now 27 after the hour of father
accused of killing his pregnant wife and two daughters learning his fate today
but why did he do it there he is the answer is police could release today
President Trump taking on the New York Times for claiming counsel Don McGann
turned on him now he wants to know when the Russia probe investigators will be
investigated themselves does he have a point here we'll debate
hello
you
