"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…"

These poetic lines, engraved on a bronze plaque beneath the Statue of Liberty, speak to who

we are: a nation of immigrants.

Until now . . .

As Senate Democrat Chuck Schumer lamented, "Tears are running down the cheeks of the

Statue of Liberty."

We've turned our backs on those huddled masses.

Closed our borders.

Separated families.

Hardened our hearts.

Or so you would think if you only read the headlines or watch TV news.

Just one problem: It's not true.

The United States still maintains the most generous immigration policies in the world.

Generous to a fault...because the overwhelming numbers have stymied our ability to assimilate

the huddled masses.

50 million residents of America are foreign-born.

In fact, today the United States has more immigrants as a percentage of its total population

than at any time since 1890.

That's why, to give one illustration, 176 different languages are spoken among students

in the New York City school system.

How did we get here?

For starters, America grants permanent residence to a million people every single year.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg because of something you've probably heard referred

to as "chain migration."

Chain migration allows immigrants to sponsor not only their immediate family—parents,

spouses and children under age 21, but much of their extended family once they gain citizenship:

unmarried adult children and any children they might have, married adult children and

their children, and brothers and sisters and their children.

Princeton University researchers, using the most recently available data, found that immigrants

sponsored an average of 3.45 additional relatives each.

So, the one million immigrants granted permanent residence each year potentially adds,

over time, another three and a half million.

In addition, an estimated 100,000 refugees and asylum-seekers—people who claim to be

fleeing political or personal strife abroad—enter the country annually.

From 2008 to 2017, the U.S. gave green cards to well over a million people for humanitarian

reasons, allowing them to live and work here permanently.

After five years, they can apply for full citizenship.

We're not done yet.

In that same time frame, nearly half a million more people came to America through the diversity

visa lottery—a program designed to admit more people from "underrepresented" countries

into the U.S.

Diversity visa applicants don't need a high school education, job skills

—or pretty much anything.

And, thanks again to chain migration, spouses and unmarried children under 21 of visa lottery

winners also get to come to America.

This non-stop flow of new legal immigrants—based on family ties instead of skills, abilities,

and allegiance to American values—has, of course, been supplemented by millions who

enter the country illegally and stay illegally.

Dominant media outlets use the euphemism "undocumented," but the official U.S. government term

used in federal statutes is "illegal alien": an unlawful entrant who came without permission

and stays in open defiance of our laws.

The number of illegal aliens in the country is usually given as 11 million, but have you

noticed that number never seems to change?

Common sense suggests it's higher—much higher.

And though illegal aliens themselves don't qualify for welfare, they receive free health

care in our clinics and hospitals, and through their American-born children they can expect

to receive all manner of benefits—cash aid, food stamps, and housing vouchers.

Their children are entitled to a free education in public schools.

Building a high-tech border barrier would certainly help stem this flow.

Ending chain migration is another obvious remedy.

E-Verify, the national database that allows employers to check workers' immigration

status, is also essential.

So is a fully-functioning entry-exit system to track visa overstayers.

But all solutions will ultimately fail unless we get control of the numbers and enforce

our laws consistently.

It's Sovereignty 101: This is our home and we have not only the right, but the responsibility,

to determine who comes in, how many come in, and what qualities and qualifications they bring.

The truth is, we let in millions.

And, of course, millions more want to come.

Who can blame them?

But it's simply not possible or desirable to let in everyone.

And it's not hateful to say so.

It's not hateful to protect our borders.

It's not hateful to protect our citizens.

It's not hateful to protect our values.

Lady Liberty may be shedding tears—not because we've stopped welcoming immigrants,

but because our ill-conceived immigration policies are threatening the American Dream.

Dice the mushroom, onion, squash and green onion into thick pieces.

Cut the chili peppers into rings.

In a small bowl, put all the ingredients for sauce and mix.

Rub the snails with flour in cold running water.

In a pot, put some sesame oil and stir-fry the vegetables for about 2 minutes.

Add the sauce ingredients and stir-fry for few more minutes.

When the vegetables are coated with sauce, pour the kelp broth(or rice water) and bring to boil.

When the broth simmers, add the snails and chilis. Bring to boil before putting out a fire.

Enjoy the stew with rice or with steamed pumpkin leaves(or steamed cabbage).

now suggests Brennan may have misused classified intelligence but Brennan

that's right Brandon is not backing down just days after the former CIA director

had his lifetime security clearance revoked he doubled down on his decision

to speak out against the president I have seen the lights blinking red in

terms of what mr. Trump has done and is doing and is bringing this country down

on the global stage and he's fueling and feeding divisiveness within our country

he continually lies the American people and the types of things that he's doing

I think I need to speak out and so I've been speaking out rather forcefully and

while critics are accusing the president of playing politics with Clearances

National Security Advisor John Bolton hitted Brennan may have misused

classified information a number of people have commented that

he couldn't be in the position he's in of criticizing President Trump and his

so-called collusion with Russia unless he did use classified information when

he was director of the CIA I was very troubled by his conduct by

statements he made in public and by what I thought was his politicization of the

intelligence community but another former CIA director Leon Panetta came to

Brennan's defense if somebody uses classified information or reveals

classified information or misuses that in a way while he's exercising the

viewpoint then I think that crosses a line but that was not the case here now

Brennan is just one of 10 intelligence officials that the White House is

considering revoking clearances and on Friday the president hinted if the only

ones still currently working for the government assistant attorney general

Bruce or could be next I think Bruce or is a disgrace I suspect I'll be taking

it away very quickly for him to be in the Justice Department and to be doing

what he did that is a disgrace now that list which critics have deemed an

enemies list includes former FBI director James Comey denied director

James clapper national security adviser Susan Rice and former acting Attorney

General Sally Yates guys you've all heard that list all last week

it looks like the White House is taking it a lot more seriously with these under

review we'll find out what this week brings all right Griff thanks so much

interns at former CIA director John Brennan may have misused classified

intelligence they're adding fuel to the president's fire as he considers yanking

clearances from nine other Obama era officials Texas congressman and member

of the House Homeland Security Committee John Ratcliffe says revoking Moore

clearances is only appropriate if there's proof there's been they have

been abused I like the policy of extending clearances to former

intelligence and law enforcement officials for the purpose of being able

to provide advice and counsel to their successors in John Brennan's case he

clearly wasn't advising and counseling he was leveling accusations accusations

of treason he said that Donald Trump was a

despicable demagogue who belongs in the dustbin of history so

I agree with the privileged I also agree with revoking the privilege when it's

been abused so in John Brennan's case I think it's appropriate and with respect

to some of the other people under consideration I think it's entirely

appropriate when someone at the Department of Justice or the FBI or in

our intelligence community is under investigation or you've been criminally

referred or has been fired or demoted because of misconduct that you were

event you revoked their security clearances why would you give them

access to national security information under those circumstances all right no

word when a decision on pulling clearances from those other officials

could be announced they're down to desperation time they have to write a

report and they don't have a single bit of evidence president trunk confirmed

that he allowed him again to answer questions and molars investigation into

Russian meddling in the 2016 election all right the jury could return a

verdict today in the Paul Manafort fraud trial the former Trump campaign manager

potentially faces life in prison if he is convicted on all charges and even if

he's acquitted he still faces an uphill battle that's for sure but as Garrett

Toni explains his lawyers are confident it's back to work for the jury and Paul

mana Ford's trial after Judge TS Ellis told them not to speak with anyone about

the case and to put it out of their mind until 9:30 Monday morning this will be

day three of jury deliberations as they review all the evidence from the trial

including testimony from 27 witnesses and hundreds of exhibits prosecutors

presented including financial statements loan applications tax documents emails

and photographs during the first day of deliberations the jury passed a note to

the judge asking for questions including please define reasonable doubt to that

judge Ellis responded quote the government is not required to prove the

defendant guilty beyond all possible doubt only beyond all reasonable doubt a

doubt based on reason with no verdict after 14 hours of deliberation Paul

Manafort attorneys are feeling confident about their chances very good

the Iranian people and deliver really a coherent strategy for dealing with

Iran's aggression right and it could get even worse if the US starts sanctioning

countries that are buying Iranian oil as the threat need to do alright Daniel

[CFS TV 2018] After CFS 2017_Pacific Macta - Duration: 5:35.

Our biggest success is our experience that we advanced to the Grand Finals for 3 years in a low.

Maybe that's what gave us all of the potential and inner strength to do our best.

So in our next matches we can defeat all of the teams.

I think it's the sacrifice of my teammates and our team work, how we always talk while playing.

I think that's it.

All moments of the Grand Finals were memorable because we won the 3rd place for three times.

The most memorable match was against HG last 2015

Semi Finals of Crossfire Stars.

We thought we were going to get it.

But we couldn't.

For us, all of the Grand Finals matches that we participated in was memorable.

It's very important for us.

And it's what gave us experience to be stronger and better.

To be prepared for the upcoming matches.

We always recorded third place. We don't know why.

But this year we will make sure that if we get in the Grand Finals, we will definitely get the champion title for the Philippines.

How can we say that we will be the champion?

We won't let our team lose a single game.

Our goals are still the same, to become the champion again.

At every Grand Finals we wish to reach for the top.

Previously, we were scared of the Chinese teams because they were really strong. Especially SV.

We idolize them, but we think we can defeat them this year.

I think it's still SV, we always go against them in the semi-finals.

For our families and individual lives and our team, each of us need this in our lives.

But everything goes for our families.

To celebrate and also to build a business, because that's our goal that we haven't made in a while. Business is number 1.

Both teams managed to get a victory on the opening gameweek of the Premier League season.

The clash at Selhurst Park has the makings of a great contest with two teams looking

The recent history of this fixture overwhelmingly favours the Merseysiders as they have been

able to win in each of their past three meetings with Palace.

Klopp is expected to stick with his 4-3-3 formation and might hand Jordan Henderson

Defence

Alisson Becker will undoubtedly start for the Merseyside giants at Selhurst Park.

The Brazilian goalie kept a clean sheet in his last outing versus the Hammers but was

largely untested in between the sticks.

Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez are going to take their place in central defence in the

absence of Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip.

Andrew Robertson would play in the left back position while Trent Alexander-Arnold looks

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson should return at the heart of the Reds midfield alongside

subtle logo designs ensure simplicity and it's a fairly basic concept but it's

super useful and relevant in branding today if you have a focus attitude and

you bring attention to one specific type of branding then it becomes easier for

people to recognize a design if people recognize a design and they become

familiar and stays the minds of the consumer and this is the absolute most

crucial objective of any brand or logo design minimalism and simplicity achieve

this if a done properly

the first tip for creating a simple and minimal logo design is to bring a symbol

into the logo the symbol should be relevant to the brand but in a very

simple and minimal manner so maybe take an object or a concept that relates to

the brand and then incorporate that into the logo type or the symbol in a tankful

manner this is a very clever and surefire way to result in a clean and

minimal logo design if it's done correctly

as with any logo design the process is needed where you start working on paper

first and brainstorm down your ideas subsequently developing those ideas into

concepts now I personally feel this is the best way and best method for Lego

designing and it helps to come up with clever and cool concepts for minimal

logo designs later this week I have a video all about a neat piece of software

which is going to help you and your branding workflow so stay tuned for that

later this week the next tip for a minimal and simple logo design is kind

of two tips built into one but try and stay away from using gradients for your

minimal logo design projects I must add that gradients can work for

minimal later designs in specific situations however ingredients do not

appear simple by nature they give depth and a kind of 3d feature which really

does detract away from a simple Lego design it is often a good idea to

produce your logo in both a gradient and also a flat design solution that is if

you want to use gradients but in my opinion is best to leave gradients away

from minimal and simple Lego designs also on this tip the logo that you're

working on should have just as much impact in greyscale as it does in full

color a simple or minimal logo that is effective with always rocking

awesomeness if in black and white just as it would in color so when designing

your logo start off by creating a black and white first and have color in the

back of your mind somewhere the third tip for designing an effective minimal

logo design is typography or a Lego type the lettering you give to your logo is

just as important as any symbol or icon if not more you might even want to give

her a 100 percent typographic logo which by the way is a great choice for any

minimal design each and every font on each typeface has a kind of accent and

it's got his own vibe in its own personality as you progress as a

designer this will become ever more apparent but just try to think what the

style of lettering would say if it had a voice would it be playful and funny with

a cracker joke would it be serious affecting a high-status or upper-class

accent and if you do come to use a symbol an

icon with the type make sure the voice of the typography

matches the lettering and compliments have styled the message again this

requires an eye for design and a creative flair the fourth tip is handy

when working on concepts or ideas for our client's logo so today we're

focusing on minimal Legos but even within those confines it is a good idea

to maybe create three different versions of the concept with different degrees of

simplicity there is such a thing as being too abstract or too simple and you

do need the logo to be relevant to the brand exploring different levels of

simplicity will help you achieve this

the fifth and final tip in today's video covering minimal later designing is to

utilize negative space if done correctly this is always a winner for minimal logo

design and it can make a very attractive design indeed again you will need to get

creative or there and that always starts at the beginning with the design process

on pen and paper or at least it should do for the majority of designers

negative space logo designs appear clever and the added degree of mystique

and interests however you need to make sure to keep your design relevant and

focus to the brand remember if you want to keep boosting your awareness and your

skills as a graphic designer stay locked into satura graphics and

Today I will explain to you an easy to do Yami (dark) Dolly makeup

So let's go

The circle lens are Vivion from KOREA

I'm using one in 16.5mm

It matches any situation so I'm repetitively using this

Since the sun ray is so strong, I'm using this sun block

Sunblock from Hacchi

It spreads well, and it feels very good

so I use this a lot

This is Oneday Moisture

I actually have dark skin, so to tone up as much as possible, I use this

I will spread this on the face over the sun block

and stretch it to the neck, and finally even to the back of the hand

KATE foundation powder skin maker

This one I also like recently. Right after I apply it, it becomes smooth like powder foundation

Two to three birds with one stone. It's great

I will spread it evenly as if holding it down with the hand

CANMAKE cover mixing concealer

There are three color in them. The dark circles under the eyes worry me so I add it there

And by the nostrils and the side of the mouth tends to get dark

so I would add to those areas

I would add and then spread it out evenly with the fingers

Next are the eyebrows

KATE 3D eyebrow color

I would add thoroughly going back and forth

I wanted to have strong eyebrows so I added thoroughly

By going back and forth, it's easy to apply

so I'm adding very thoroughly on all of them

Cezanne Futoshin Eyebrow

This is eyebrow pencil which seems like I'm only using this one

It's thick so I can add it easily, and since it has a diagonal cut I can draw thin or thick

so I'm drawing the eyebrows parallel and thick

The balance is difficult

It's really good

After the eyebrows is the eye makeup

The eyelid glue today is this bandage type

Eyelid glue bought at 100yen store

Recently I've been using different glues

Once I got rashes with the glue type, I came back to the bandage type

Adding to the inner corner will make the shape so I add to both sides

Since today I wanted to have really visible eye bags,

so I will make the eye bags

Canmake Lighting Liquid Eyes 02

This is added to the width of your eye bags plus one position

in the sticking out position

Under the eyes to give it plump and 3D looking, I'm adding quite some amount

Next is Majolica Majorca Open Your Eyes Eye Shadow

I wanted to add orange under the eyes to give a healthy look so I used this

This gives great color with not so glaring nor too thin but just right so I use this

I am adding this lightly so it will blend in well overall

It's all white and has a lot of glitter in it so I like it

I will add this under the eyes as an highlighter as well

Adding this will give it even more 3D look

It's really cute and good

KATE Designing Eyebrow, with this color

I'm adding shadow under the eyes

The eye bags were made 3D but the shadow is also used to make it 3D

Under the eyes are added more but the other parts are blended in lightly with a brush

Since the eye bags are done, I'm adding the eye shadow

Jill Stuart Jewel Crystal Eyes

It has more glitter than normal eye shadow so it's really cute

On the edge of the eyes, I'm adding in the darkest color

and sticking out more, adding to the bottom part

and draw the top as well.

This has glitter in it and really cute color as well

It's a darker color than before, so I'm adding to the eyeliner

I'll be adding eyeliner later, but I will create the shape around the eyes

The eyeliner from D-UP

This is to circle around the eyes

Today I will start from the edge of the eyes, and all the way to the outer corner

It's cute so I did it droopy. The bottom part is also added with eyeliner

The key short and little by litte

Since I want it more 3D looking, I'm drawing it thick on the top and bottom part

Using Mote Mascara in comb type for the eyelashes

I have eyelash extension on the top part so I won't touch, but I will add on the bottom

Trying to extend every one of them, I will carefully draw them all

Using KATE Slim Powder

I am really using this

The place to add the highlighter is bridge of the nose and tip of the nose.

And the whole eyelid, chin and cheeks. Anywhere with features

The shading is added to the side of the nostrils and the cheeks

To avoid having it look like you added it, I'm putting it widely and evenly by spreading it out

The part under the nose is where I added it

Cezanne Mix Color Cheek 04

Basically to make the vermillion color to stand out, I had circled the brush

The key to add is, putting on the high point of the cheeks will make it look cute

For today I am sticking out even on the sides.

The last one today is Magic Powder Rouge Red

I had added over the other blush and especially to the cheek bones

To match the theme of dark and cute makeup, I had chosen smokey red

KATE Color Hi-vision Rouge

This is actually a smoking looking red

I thought it was nice so I chose this

I will add it all over the mouth with an image of lifting the sides up a bit

Using the KATE Slim Create Powder which I used before

I used this to give the lips a 3D look

The parts added are the bumpy part of the lips, the inside,

and on the edge

The lighter color is used for highlighter in the middle

Under the nose is also added with highlighter and low lighter to make it 3D looking

The hair today is like a half up pig tail

The bangs are made something like the popular see-thru-bangs

The bangs are curled inward with hair iron

The half up pig tail is taken some to stand out a bit

The hair iron I used is this one and the 19mm to make inward curls

Using it totally to show curls

And the ribbon is added to give the final touch

The key today was to show a nice looking but toned down

It is a makeup which you don't need so much effect when you put on Instagram

Today's clothes is see-thru type with the ribbon in a dark black color

Hey guys! Quick update video um, sorry I'm making so many of these... um, two...

uh-nnouncements? I suppose? Um, I am going to ATTEMPT my first live stream..uh *chuckle* we'll see

how it goes... on the 22nd, it's a Wednesday, for me, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard

Time... Ah, I don't know how it's gonna go ah...

I don't know what I'm really gonna do but if you guys would like to join me that'd

be awesome uh we just talk and I don't know *chuckle* we'll...

we'll see *chuckle* Uh...yeah, and then just... since this is gonna be such a short video... I am

going to do the Q&A for 300 subs I only got like three questions which you know

whatever but uh I figured there was nothing- *tongue tied* enough time has passed so

I'm just gonna move through these, 'cause I deleted the video, so... you two might just

be like "ahh, what happened to it??" No, I got you- I got your questions.. don't

worry um okay the first question comes from Dylan Curry, I hope I'm saying that

correctly. "Does you like doggos?"...I do indeed like doggos uh my favorite kind

of doggo...uh, a little fun fact, are beagles cuz um I had a beagle for my whole life

up until a few years ago, who was only white and brown like she had brown spots

But no black spots, she was... *breath* She was my baby. She was so cute.

Second question, also comes from Dylan, "What got you into ASMR / role plays?" Now

that's a good question

I'm... I expected it (the question) but, I... don't /really/ know how to answer it... I'm not really

sure, cuz um *clears throat* For ASMR... I'm pretty sure I had

just stumbled upon it on Instagram one day and I just got really interested in

it and then just kept watching them, and going over to YouTube and seen, you know,

extended versions and like different ASMR and everything and for roleplay

videos I think it was a recommended video for one of the ASMR videos that

I had been watching at the time and it was just kind of a hole I fell into on

YouTube and I... never wanted to leave? Like... I- I really like listening to roleplay

audios and like making them too, but like... I don't know it's- it's fun, it's

wholesome like or like it's intense and it's just like- it's such an interesting

platform and interesting content, like... to get into... *breath* I don't know um...... the first

person I listened to when it came to voice acting was technically CDawg, but

I didn't know at the time like that it was a whole separate thing... like, it was

both Butler's and Hosts Against Humanity, when he did that, um... but the first real

voice actor that I listened to was Cardlin Audio and I just... I got hooked on

it like, I just binged a lot of his videos cuz I thought they

were so good, so... I thought, you know, "why not?", that seems really fun and it could

help people and like- it's just *breath* I was just enamored with it and... so, I made this

channel. I dunno, *giggle* That's- that's my answer.. *breath* Uh, okay, um... okay. Third "question"

An Olympic basketballer has quit the sport because of abuse from the sidelines during her final season playing in Adelaide

Jo Hill played her last game of competitive basketball on Saturday, with her team North Adelaide winning the grand final of the South Australian Women's Premier League

Hill told ABC Radio Adelaide she was retiring "because of abuse from the sidelines" throughout the year, including over the weekend

The remarks centred around her age and her physical style of play."There's been a few supporters saying stuff while I'm playing," the 45-year-old said

Hill won a silver medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and played more than 300 games in the Women's National Basketball League

She had retired from the Premier League in 2016 but changed her mind and came back for two seasons in 2017 and 2018

She dedicated her final game to her father Ian, 84, who died last month."It's just a little bit hard at times," she said

"People say 'block it out' but when it's personal it's a little bit different.Hill scored 29 points in the grand final and was named most valuable player

Her team, the Rockets, were unbeaten throughout the season, winning against Forestville 79-61

Rockets coach Brenton Johnston said the abuse against Hill this season had been "horrid", and had included sledging from a father with young children at Saturday's game

"It has been going on since Jo originally retired two years ago — because of some issues with that, people [were] having a go at her," Johnston said

"With a bit of hard work, we convinced her to keep going and retire on her terms, not other people's terms

" While the AFL has dealt with booing and abuse against players — notably Sydney Swans' Adam Goodes and Kurt Tippett — Johnston said it hit basketball players harder

Hill will also play in the SA Women's Football League grand final for Adelaide University this Sunday

Goodes was catapulted to the centre of an ugly racism row after he singled out a 13-year-old girl sitting in the crowd of Collingwood fans during a game against the Sydney Swans in the AFL's Indigenous round in 2013

The young girl called him an "ape", and although Mr Goodes said he had been "gutted" and hurt, he called for the community to support the girl rather than vilify her

However, for the next two years after the incident, he was the target of sustained booing at matches and the butt of other racist jokes before retiring in 2015

Tippett left the Adelaide Crows for Sydney in 2012 but was then fined $50,000 by the AFL and suspended for half the 2013 season

Adelaide Crows were fined $300,000 for breaching the salary cap and tampering with the draft

Tonight's episode, "Close Your Eyes," had quite the Deus ex Machina at the end. This post, of course, will have spoilers for the latest episode of Fear. Read on for the best explanation on just how that escape at the end actually happened.

In Season 4 Episode 10 of Fear the Walking Dead, Alicia and Charlie spent a few scenes stuck in a cellar (or basement, depending on what you like to call it.) The cellar was quickly flooding and they couldn't get out.

Charlie wanted Alicia to kill her so she wouldn't turn into a walker.

The cellar door was clearly locked, and they couldn't get out no matter how hard they tried.

And then… Somehow… Something fell and the door was magically open and they could escape! Then Alicia shot a walker in the head, and Charlie said the walker saved them when it fell from the tree.

First, no, the walker didn't magically acquire sentience and unlock the cellar for them, before quickly descending back into madness.

The best explanation that fans can come up with is that the walker fell from the second floor of the house (where we saw it hanging high in the tree), and it fell directly on the door handles of the cellar.

The force of that fall caused one of the door handles to break off, which unlocked the cellar door and allowed Alicia and Charlie to escape.

(Alternative explanation: it somehow broke the lock/chain itself when it fell on it, resulting in the same open cellar door for a quick escape.).

This chain of events is VERY unlikely to happen.

So although the zombie didn't actually save them, it was pretty miraculous how it fell in just the perfect spot to break the door handle/chain and allow Charlie and Alicia to get free before they drowned.

Fans aren't too thrilled about this Deus ex Machina type of escape.

Testing a Graphic Tablet with a screen ! - Duration: 11:07.

Hi everybody it's Zowi! I hope you're doing well since my last video!

Or not!

Today we're going to review a graphic tablet with a sreen

The Kamvas GT-156HD V2 from the brand Huion !

*Joking* And yes, this is a long name for a tablet!

Also, this is a sponsored video!

For those who don't know what is a graphic tablet with a sreen

It is like a normal graphic tablet but instead of drawing on a black surface

You directly draw on the screen of the tablet

You'll see it after with more details!

I used a lot my old graphic tablet that doesn't have a screen to work on my manga pages

So having one with a screen was like a dream to me

That's why when Huion asked me if I wanted to test this tablet I was so happy and I said "yes" to them!

So today I'm reviewing it on my channel!

Let's unbox it!!

Just one thing before starting the unboxing: I already opened the box without filming myself

Because I was so exited to test the tablet!

And I am not the only one who did the same thing! (Choko another Youtuber also did a review of an Huion Tablet)

So, for the video, I needed to put everything back in the box

If I was smarter I would have fimed me when I opened the tablet the firt time!

That's why the inside of the box is a bit messy ! I'm sorry !

When we open the box we are welcomed by a piece of paper that thanks us for choosing the brand Huion

It's me that should thank them for sending me this amazing tablet

And there is is!! The tablet!

You can see myself on the reflexion with the plastic protecting the tablet

It is a bit heavy because it weights 1.5kg

And of course it's because of the screen on it on the contrary of my old tablet which didn't have a sceen on it

The first thing we can notice is how huge is the tablet !

I found it funny that it was as huge as my computer that is very big too

The screen is 15.6 inches long and there's 8192 Pen Pressure levels

Yes, It's a lot! Amazing!

I don't remember how many pressure levels I had on my previous tablet but I'm sure it was far less than 8192!

There are also buttons on the left side of the tablet but I still don't know how to use them

We can continue our unboxing

Here is the stand of the tablet you can choose how you want the angle to be depending on your personal choises

Personally I change a lot depending on where I work so this is very useful!

Then we have the 3 in 1 cable, instead of having 3 different cables to connect the tablet there's only one

Where you connect the computer, the tablet

Huion decided that it was better to put these three cables at one to not be lost with all of them

I trully thank them for this great idea because I tend to lose my cables when there's too much of them

This is the pen that allows us to draw on the tablet

It is a pen with batteries so it needs to be recharged when it runs out of batteries

In order to charge it you need to connect it to a cable which will be connected on your computer

Even when it's charging, you can, still use the pen but I don't recomend you that

Because it's a bit annoying to draw with a pen and a cable attached on it

What's good is that they give us two pens in the tablet box!

So when the first one is charging, you can use the decond to draw

But if the two are out of batteries you'll need to wait haha!

In the box where there's the pen you also get nibs to replace the one on the pen when it's too worn

On the one of my forner tablet I never needed to do that so I'm sure I'll never run out of nibs!

There's also two shortcut buttons on the pen

Here are some jacks, you need to choose the one taht goes with your country

And you connect it to the cable that will connect the 3 in 1 cable

This is a glove that is very useful if you don't want to stain the tablet with your fingers when drawing

But because we're in summer and it's very hot I'm not actually drawing with it

It comes twice in the package, the secon one is also a gift

In case of the first one is lost

In there you have a fabric that can help you to clean the tablet

And an explanation book to connect the tablet, it helped me a lot

You also get a CD where you can download the driver to make the tablet work

But I'll explain it later because I had some struggle with it

I'll show you a bit of the installation but not that much because it's not very interesting

It's well explained on the manual

You'll need space on your workspace

Mine is very small so I had a bit of problem with the size

Before using the tablet we'll need to install the driver

The one on the CD didn't work with my computer it was written "device disconected"

So I had to download it on the Internet writing "Huion Download" (what a beautiful accent)

Then you write the name of the tablet you have in the searching bar

There were four drivers for the GT-156HD V2 and one of them worked for my computer

The great thing is that it worked but it took me some time

It happens to a few people

If something like this happens to you know what to do! Go to Huion Download!

I didn't change anything with the shortcuts in the driver

So let's start the conclusion

I'm drawing on the Clip Studio Paint App

To my opinion I trully love this tablet! As a person who draws traditionnaly I never liked drawin digitally

There was sometging that was blocking me when drawing on my old tablet without screen

But here it's a different thing with the GT-156HD V2 because I get the impression I draw on a piece of paper!

It's very precise and I gain so much time drawing on it in comparison with the previous tablet

To compare a bit, when doing my manga pages, I take one hour less of work with this tablet

It's very useful for me to gain time

For example, the scketch I'm currently doing of my OC Céleste took me about 12 minutes

But I'm sure I would have took me twice the time with a tablet without sceen

I'm just going to tall you some of the things I found a bit annoying with this tablet

But there are not very much and there are little ones

The 3 in 1 cable is very usefus yes, but it's a bit thicky and if you are working on a small workspace like me

It happens it disconnects the tablet sometimes

It doesn't happen all the time but the tablet takes one minute to reconect

It's a bit annoying on a small workspace but it doesn't happen on a big one

I used the tablet on my mother's workspace which is far bigger and this proble didn't happen once

So I think it's just my workspace that's too small

You need to have space when drawing with this tablet, its size can be a good and a bad point

The shortcuts of the pen are a bit too close from where I put my fingers

Maybe it only happens to me but I click on the shortcuts without manting to do it which is also a bit annoying

I think I'll desactivate the shortcuts on the pen

There are places on the tablet that can get hot while working some time on it

So sometimes when I draw and I rest my hand on the corney of the tablet it's hot

It doesn't burn don't worry haha

Now we can talk about the good points of the tablet! Of course the size is one of them!

It's sooo huge! And I love drawing on it, it's a true pleasure!

It's very precise! Like I said, I get the impression of drawing traditionnaly!

For a person like me who did a very few drawings digitally, it's very easy to draw the lines!

It's very easy to understand and to make progress!

I learned more in one week with this tablet than in one month with the old one!

Also the 3 in 1 cable that's very useful!

And of course the gifts! If you loose your pen or your glove you don't need to buy on the internet because you have another one!

Teaching Kids with Autism the Steps to Nose Blowing - Duration: 6:51.

Before I had a son with autism and then became a behavior analyst, I never imagined how hard

it would be to teach a child to blow his nose.

Today I'm going to break down the steps and give you some easy strategies to help you

teach your child or client how to blow his nose.

Hi.

I'm Dr. Mary Barbera, autism mom, board certified behavior analyst and best-selling author.

Each week I provide you with some of my ideas about turning autism around.

In addition to autism, many children, including my son Lucas, also have severe allergies.

One of my clients, I'll call him Andy, had such bad allergies that he would actually

get shiners under his eyes and be very congested in the springtime for months.

I have done a few prior blogs on medical issues, since I'm a registered nurse as well as a

behavior analyst.

In my medical blogs, I give you some pointers on ruling out medical issues, teaching children

how to tell you they're in pain and all sorts of things.

But, today, I specifically just want to cover how to teach nose blowing, which is such an

important skill, especially for kids like Andy with significant allergies.

Andy was about five at the time.

He was an intermediate learner on the BB Map.

He was talking, but not yet conversational, but he was learning very quickly.

Since I had previously wrote a blog on the steps for teaching nose blowing with videos

of me teaching Lucas, you may want to check out that blog, I've also taught multiple clients

how to blow their noses.

Because of my background with nose blowing, I thought Andy would be a really good candidate

to learn this skill.

Before I get started with the steps we used for Andy, let's talk about some prerequisite

skills.

I found that children need some basic skills before we can teach a complex skill, such

as nose blowing.

Some of these skills include the ability to follow directions, to imitate, and to mand,

or ask for things they need.

Andy had all these basic skills, so the first step to increasing or decreasing any behavior

is assessment.

Can a child blow his nose at all?

Take a tissues.

Can he just take a tissue and wipe his nose?

Can he throw a tissue in the trash can when he's done?

Once we have these assessment steps done, then we need to make a plan to teach this

skill.

We should really make a plan to teach for very short period every day.

The problem with nose blowing is that people only think about teaching blowing noses when

the child is actually sick.

This is a problem because when kids are really congested, they're not at ... They're not

ready to learn.

They might be having pain and pressure, and that's not the time to teach initial nose

blowing.

Part of the plan includes gathering some equipment.

I found that actually a clipboard is a great idea.

Some people recommend just having the child blow things on a table, but the nice thing

about a clipboard is that the mouth blowing can be isolated below the clip board.

Then, you get something like a cotton ball and you can have the child take a deep breath,

close his mouth, and then blow through his nose, and blow the cotton ball.

You can even tear the cotton ball into smaller pieces to make it a little easier.

You can also blow pencils and bigger objects.

Again, kind of make a race with it.

You can each have your own clipboard.

I mean, there's just a number of ways to make this kind of fun and measurable, and they

can actually see what they're blowing.

You then can isolate each nostril and close up one nostril, close their mouth and ... Now,

I'm a little congested.

I'm having a hard time blowing that with that nostril, and that one is better.

We do also want to teach with tissue, so the child can have a tissue.

I can have a tissue.

We want to teach holding the tissue, squeezing nostrils, squeezing one nostril, and taking

a deep breath, and closing your mouths before you attempt to blow.

As you can see, this is a lot more complicated than you may have thought.

In summary, teaching nose blowing is a fairly complex skill, but you can break it down.

Get started today.

Assess where your child or client is at.

Make a plan.

Gather some equipment that you have at home.

Practice daily sessions.

I usually find just three-minute or five-minute sessions, like, "Let's practice blowing your

nose.

We're going to do these quick, quick little tasks and get you stronger and work on this

while you have the energy, while you're not sick."

Then, you have to generalize it to tissues.

The quick learners, the intermediate learners that are quick to pick up skills sometimes

surprise you and learn very quickly.

Then, you have to generalize it when they are sick and when they are really congested

because you have to blow probably a little bit harder to get that mucus out.

Anyway, hopefully you can practice some of these skills and get your children and client

blowing their nose.
