Let's see how this "giant with muscles of steel" METAL BUILD EVA-01 TEST TYPE Is born.
The METAL BUILD brand which is a completed toy brand that uses metal parts strategically in joints among other areas,
utilizes different creators to arrange the characters creating a product that represents the highest level of craftsmanship at TAMASHII NATIONS.
METAL BUILD is a brand that we at TAMASHII NATIONS are proud to say is of our highest quality.
I must apologize, but honestly I'm a little under educated when it comes to the field of figurines, and I'd never heard of METAL BUILD.
But when they showed me the amount of work invested into each product, the quality compared to other figures,
that you can actually see the designer's opinion reflected in the work, the minute details in the markings. I really see the appeal in making something of this quality.
What is originally Evangelion made of?
It may be made of nothing, it may be made of clay-like things,
It is even not clear whether there is internal organs when you cut it.
So with that impression I thought what if there was something that had the hardness of metal,that covered it all, like panel layers, that were the muscles of it all.
If you bring your arm up to your ear and move it, you can hear the muscles moving.So I thought, that for a pilot inside, that creaking sound must really reverberate. And I actually had this image of muscles made from layered metals from a long time ago,
and with METAL BUILD obviously there is going to be metal inside so I thought it'd be interesting to have this idea produced somewhere and suggested it.
The Evangelion's shoulder pylons are at once its most distinct trait as well as the hardest part to realize when making a real representation.
No matter what you do there are limitations, but this time I was told I could do whatever I wanted, so I wanted to see just how far we would remove the pylons while retaining the shoulders' rigid look.
For this Eva I wanted to try something different and this was where I wanted that realized.
As we didn't have any moving footage of the figure, we had to recreate the whole structure from sketches, it was definitely much harder than we expected.
Naturally, whatever happens there's going to be retouches, parts you couldn't see in the original settings, Mr. Sakano cleanly connected all those things together for us.
Well let me first say, that we started work under the assumption that there were going to be corrections. We make a design, then send it in and receive directions from there.
What we actually got were really easy to understand directions.We'd send the 3D captured footage from here and Mr. Yamashita would add notations to the actual Model instead of just a 2D sketch.
That was incredibly helpful, there are times when people just leave a note in red pen but because you can see it in real space we were like "oh I get it now". So things progressed really quickly.
So in relation to the theme of a giant with muscles of steel, we made the connecting past out of die cast steel, I had a lot of input with the upper leg area design.
METAL BUILD EVA-01 TEST TYPE is really a fascinating thing we've made here. I'd be happy for people just to take it in their hands and really look at it.
First of all we have Ikuto sensei's illustrations and then I wanted to add in my impressions from the anime,and because it's METAL BUILD you have to think about the materials and reflections from different angles, so the first design was a culmination of those things.
with Mr. Hirose, the first color they came up with really didn't click with me, but after giving a few instructions the second one came back exactly as I had imagined, that work really helped a lot.
METAL BUILD designs are really quite glossy, and because the joints are made from metals you can't polish the whole thing off with a matte finish,
you have to think about how you combine all these different materials together. How much will you put in matte?
The idea to just apply as much matte texture as possible, it was really a decision made right there on the spot while looking at the work.
The orange and yellow combinations work well together so it was really about how well we can match the other tones together, the purple for example,
also in other thin places you get strong colors coming through so the coloring for the metallic muscles is really nice,
keeping bright colors from standing out too much, keeping it from feeling clustered or messy, I was careful not to over accentuate any one location,
yeah that's probably it, from a design perspective there are lots of loud colors but overall, from top to bottom the whole thing is perfectly balanced, I feel like it really came together as one Eva.
This EVA-01 TEST TYPE is not the same old EVA-01 TEST TYPE.
Even before we made Evangelion, there was a concept design, I made this with that image in mind. This is the Evangelion unit design Gendo Ikari proposed to SEELE on paper in the beginning.
That was the concept I had in mind while working on this, so it's a different Evangelion from what you've always known, and I'd like it people enjoyed it that way.
The metal parts give it a real weight, and it has an impressive size to it, I hope that people can take it into their hands and really feel, and enjoy it for themselves.

Here I´m comparing these cheap led lamps
Useful for camping or in your camper van
The first one is a generic working lamp
A 5 led bar from Kealive
A Suaoki Lamp
And another lamp from Suboos
All of them are led
All of them cost less than 10€
One of the test I would like to make
Is to see the light we have outside the van or in a camping
This is the efect from the Suboos
Is a light a like a lot for interiors
But it´s not enough for exteriors
The Suaoki
Don´t get fool with its solar panel, its useless
One side works as a lantern
But the light is dim
It has a rechargeable
And you can open it as a lamp
Nice for a tent or camping
Bought this bar for the interior
Tought is was going to work great
It has a sensor of proximity
But its not comfortable, the light hit your eyes
I would not buy it again
And lastly the working lamp
My favorite for the camper van
Its great for exteriors
Or even if you have a flat tire
If you have to check the engine or access your stuff
Its a strong light
It has a magnet
So you can place it anywhere
Another test I wanted to make is the interior one
Right now is the generic work, at low power
This is the Suboos light
At maximum power
Its a white light
Its well blurred
And can be oriented
Im focusing the roof now
The Kealive is a dimmer light
Its almost on the roof so is not as comfortable
It does not have the power to fill the van with light
Is not comfortable to the eyes
To compare, this is the nitecore head lamp
This is the Suaoki,
Its totally different, less powerful
I like most the Suboos in the interior
And the generic working lamp
For the exterior
This is the working lamp at the hi position
Its strong , but also focalices in one direction
Not the best as an interior light
The next test, will iluminate the van from far
This is the headlamp
This low light is from the Kealive bar
The Suaoki reach more distance
But just in one spot
The Suboos
The light is not concentrated
But we have not much reach
And the Generic working lamp
Its powerful, mix of power and spread of the light
Will not talk much more about them
The worst for me is the Kealive bar
Its difficult to turn on
The Suaoki lamp is ok for camping
The solar plate is useless
Its rechargeable
And would recommend the Suboos for the interior of the van
You can hang it anywhere
You can focus in an area of the van
And the light feels nice
And the working lamp
Great as working lamp,
But as exterior lamp as well

And this is continuation of his line called Dead Rabbit RTA

Hello everyone! Alex VapersMD is here and I'm glad to welcome you on my channel
Yeah, it's been a while, since I was here last time and there was certain reasons for this
First reason - I've had an eye inflammation
Second reason - I've had a pulpitis
And third reason - there is an abnormal heat outside for over a week now
And even now, though it's only 10AM, but it's hot outside already. I woke up earlier to film this video and I'm feeling sleepy right now
Okay, enough talking about my troubles, let's talk about this RTA
Collaboration is always a good thing, I like collaborations
And here, after RDA, we got an RTA with same posts, various capacity, top airflow and top fill
However, let's not stretch the beginning and dive down to figure out what is this RTA all about
Okay friends, let's unbox this white packaging, which has a Hellvape logo, device logo, designer's logo and the device itself is seen through the transparent film
On the rear side we have a description of features, kit contents, manufacturer's information and scratch-code for authenticity check
Inside we're met by the User manual. It's pretty thick manual in various languages and, I don't know why, but it starts from French
And guys even add Russian language. It's not bad, though translation is so-so
Also in the kit we have a Dead Rabbit sticker
The tank itself and a box with spares
It includes bubble glass, a bag with Allen key and flat head screwdriver
Another branded bag with spare o-rings, extra post screws, 510 drip tips adapter and extra plastic 810 drip tip
And yeah, in the kit we have two 810 drip tips - white and black. And it's good
So, friends, now let's talk about specs of this device
This RTA is made out of Stainless steel and available in 7 colors
It features a 810 non-o-ring drip tips slot, top fill and top adjustable airflow
This tank is designed for dual coils and has a posts, which are familiar to us from previous Dead Rabbit devices
Diameter of this tank is 25mm, liquid capacity is variable from 2ml to 4.5ml, in depends on the chosen glass
Height of this device without drip tip is 37mm
And, as always, we start from the top, where we have a plastic 810 drip tip
It is held by an o-ring, which is installed into inner part of the drip tip slot
And as I showed you before, in the kit we have extra black 810 drip tip. The device with this drip tip will look like so
Due to 810 drip tips slot you are able to use your favorite 810 drip tips, but not all drip tips will look good
Because there is a bevel and because of this bevel some drip tips may overhang
Next goes top cap with knurling for convenient unscrewing
It unscrews counter clockwise
And after you've done unscrewing top cap you're getting access to pretty large fill slots
Lower, under the top cap, is the airflow adjustment ring. And as you can see there is airflow slots on both sides
Airflow adjustment is working like so - by turning the ring counter clockwise you can shut airflow slots on both sides simultaneously
This ring has a stopper so it will not spin around
This airflow adjustment is pretty convenient, enough soft and tight. And it's good
Let's continue. Now, let's separate upper and bottom parts. To do so, we need to unscrew this bottom ring, not upper one
So, we're unscrewing this part counter clockwise. Pay attention, while we unscrewing it, the connector is stay in place and doesn't move
So the bottom part is being screwed into the upper part. In that order
This is important thing and I'll drag your attention to this many times during this video
So, after we done unscrewing bottom part we're getting access to the upper part and we're able to replace the glass
Standard glass is pre-installed and in the kit we have an extra bubble glass. And with bubble glass you'll increase this tank capacity up to 4.5ml
On the barrel we have Rabbit engraving and Dead Rabbit engraving on the other side
Inside there is a spherical machining and here we can see airflow slots
Yes, this tank has the directed top airflow. Air is taken into these slots and gets inside of the chamber
And blowing on your coils, nearly as it was made in Dead Rabbit RDA
Liquid will get inside of the chamber through these slots. And there is two notches for fixating top and bottom parts, so you would've being able to unscrew the tank in one piece
Airflow adjustment ring is also removable and it's held by a single o-ring
And now you can see airflow slots in full glory
Regarding the deck. There is the posts we've seen in Dead Rabbit. They might be a little different, maybe they become a little bit higher. But again, this is RTA, not RDA
Flat head screws and 4 holes for dual coils
On the bottom there are two slots for cotton. Liquid will get into the chamber through these slots
Friends, I'll repeat once again and remind you, that this ring is mobile. As you can see, the deck is hold still while I rotate this ring
This ring is screwed into the top part of the tank
At the bottom there is the gold-plated pin, 510 connection, information regarding manufacturer, designer etc and serial number
So, friends, this is fully disassembled Dead Rabbit RTA. I have one more tank in black color and I had time to test it
To be more exact, I already put a build in it and wicked it for you
Let's check what I have there. To do so, I'll unscrew the tank from box mod, because it's not comfortable to unscrew the deck in other way
But again, screwing it down is not very comfortable as well
And unscrew the bottom ring
As you can see I installed two alien coils, which I already glowed and positioned them the way I like
Pay attention, that I cut the leads in advance and the length of a lead should be around 5mm
Overall, let's wick and fill this tank
And here I want to stop and remind you about the thing, that we need this bottom ring was screwed on the top part
So, look what's going on. When you take the top part of this tank and try to place it after you done installing the coils, wicking and stuff - not gonna happen
Because you can't screw the top part on the bottom one. You're able to screw bottom part on the top part, only in that order
So, we have to unscrew the bottom part
I overdripped a bit. Sorry, box mod
And after that screw the bottom part on the top part
Okay, folks, cleaning was successful, let's continue
Next thing we do is we fill this tank, of course
This is not a problem at all, because knurling is pretty deep and it's easy to unscrew the top cap
I have zero questions to filling as well. These fill slots is recessed enough. As you can see - it's very hard to overfill

As you can see there is vapor. And it's good - it means that device is working
But anyway, I found some things in this tank, to which I want to pay your attention
This is pros and cons. But, as always, first we'll speak about cons
Folks, you know me. I never been a fan of top airflow. I believe that bottom airflow has more flavor than top airflow
And if I compare this tank to other tanks with bottom airflow - this tank is loses in terms of flavor
Next thing I want to talk about is the thing we were talking about in close up
In the moment when you done with installing the coils and wicking and you need to screw the top part on the bottom part
To be more exact - connect this parts
And when the deck is being screwed on your box mod - it's literally impossible
So, in any case, you will have to unscrew the deck after putting a build in it and screw it on the top part
And I think that this feature is very inconvenient for users
I mean, you have to do some unnecessary actions and I'll give a con to this tank for that
Next con to this device I'll give for the fact, that knurling is too deep
On one hand it's convenient, convenient for both screwing and unscrewing
On the other hand, this deep knurling will accumulate a lot of dirt inside of its grooves
It's not the most nice thing - you'll have to take a brush and clean it. So see for yourself
Folks, I'm done with some major cons. Let's talk about nitpick
There's only one nitpick and it's about the airflow
When I launched this RTA for the first time I was like - wow, what's happened, where did this brutal TH came from?
And I figured out that airflow is pretty restricted. And even when the airflow is wide open I feel that there is slightly not enough of air for me
So I have to adjust to this tank and choose the proper coils, because the build which I initially installed had a 0.09Ω resistance and there was simply not enough air
After I put like 0.12Ω build, I felt that this build is working kinda okay
So you have to pick lighter builds for this tank, than you maybe regularly use, simply because there might be not enough air for heavier coils
And besides, if you miss with positioning of the coils even a little bit, the unpleasant whistle will appear
So you'll have to play with the coil installation in this tank. Even now with my build I feel some thin squeak. Now the whistle, but this little tiny squeak
I can't say that this squeak is the big issue, that's why I consider it as a nitpick
But be prepared, that some nasty sound might appear after first coil installation
And you'll have to fiddle with the positioning of your coils. So be prepared for it
VSE!(That's it)
I'm done with cons and nitpicks, let's talk about pros
And first pro this this tank I'll give for drip tip
Drip tips is great, I like them a lot. Very nice drip tips and it's very cool that we have two drip tips in the kit and 510 drip tips adapter
Though I'm not sure if 510 drip tip adapter is necessary here
But anyway, I'll give a pro for drip tips. Though some drip tips from my collection have overhangs...Doesn't really matter, drip tips from the kit is dope
Next pro I'll give to this tank is for good quality of manufacturing. I can't complaint about anything. Nothing rattles nor wobbling, everything works fine
Every piece is held firmly
Convenient coil installation and convenient wicking
Everything happens very fast, that's why I'm giving a pro for coil installation and wicking
Another pro I'll give for convenient airflow adjustment. Though, in my opinion, adjustment of airflow is completely unnecessary in here, because even with wide open airflow I feel the lack of air
This tank has pretty decent vapor production. Yeah, vapor and cloud production is great, but it all depends on your coils
You know, it has pretty good design. Though it has a 25mm diameter, but it looks decent on the box mods. So a pro goes for the nice appearance
And last pro I'll give for knurling. You remember, I've spoke about knurling in cons section, but I'll give a pro for it in here
Due to this knurling, assembly and disassembly of this tank is very convenient. It gives great grip for fingers, but it gathers dirt
That's it
I'm done with pros and cons for sure. Now let's talk about price
I watched reviews and many reviewers say, that this tank cost around 45$ in USA, but I found 22$ price tag on the web
So, overall, if you spend some time searching on the web, you may find a very nice price tag. So dare and let the Google help you, as it being said
Let's summarize. This is interesting tank. Yes, I personally don't like top airflow, but someone will be totally okay with that. And due to top airflow this device is hard to overfill
It will not gurgle and it has a leak-proof system
I totally forgot to mention it during pros and cons sections. Well, I mentioned it now at least
So overall this tank is a success. I don't wanna say that this tank has no flavor, flavor is there, but it's different from the flavor of tanks with bottom airflow

In this lesson, you can learn about collocations in English.
But, what are collocations?
Why can't you say, There was hard traffic on the way to the centre?
Because of collocation.
Can you say totally exhausted?
Yes, you can,
What about totally freezing?
No, you can't.
Why not?
Collocation!
Why do you apply for a job, but you apply to a company?
Can you guess?
Er…
Of course, the answer is 'collocation.'
But what does this mean?
Collocation means that some words fit together, and other words don't.
Look at a sentence you heard before:
There was hard traffic on the way to the centre.
Is this correct or not?
It's not correct.
If you said this, everybody would understand what you meant, but native English speakers
would never use the words hard traffic together.
Do you know the correct way to say it?
You could say heavy traffic, bad traffic, terrible traffic, and there are other possibilities.
What's the point here?
The point is that some words fit together, and some words don't.
There isn't any logic to it.
This makes collocations difficult.
If you don't know that heavy traffic is the correct collocation, it's hard to guess.
You either know it, or you don't.
In this lesson, you'll learn about common collocations in English, how to learn and
remember collocations, and why you should focus on collocations as part of your English
study.
You almost certainly know many collocations in English already.
The most common collocations in English are with everyday verbs like do, make, get, give,
have, and so on.
Each of these verbs has tens of possible collocations.
Here's a challenge for you.
You're going to hear a dialogue.
In the dialogue, there are ten collocations with these five verbs.
Listen and write down the ten collocations.
Can you do me a favour?
I've just got in!
Can't I have a break for five minutes?
But I have a big problem!
Amanda's arriving in fifteen minutes, and my car won't start.
Can you give me a lift to the station?
Ok, fine.
Give me a minute to get ready.
So, where's Amanda?
Shouldn't she be here already?
I think I made a mistake…
Oh?
I got confused and mixed up the dates.
She's coming tomorrow.
Well, at least you already made the beds.
Can you give me a lift tomorrow?
Please?
Work is busy tomorrow, but I'll do my best.
How was that?
Could you write down the ten collocations?
If you want, you can go back and listen to the dialogue a second time.
Here are the ten collocations you heard:
do someone a favour do (your) best
make a mistake make the beds
get in get confused
give someone a lift give (me) a minute
have a break have a (big) problem
You can see how common collocations are.
They're everywhere in spoken English!
All the collocations you saw are based on verbs.
However, collocations can be based on any part of speech.
For example, there are adjective-noun collocations, like a great achievement or a long journey.
There are adverb-adjective collocations, like terribly hot or extremely significant.
There are noun-noun collocations, like a slice of cake or a pile of laundry.
There are more.
The point is that collocations are everywhere.
To speak English naturally and fluently, you need to pay attention to them.
So, what should you do?
The best way to find and learn collocations is to do regular reading and listening practice
in English.
As you read or listen, pay attention to collocations.
If you're reading something, you can try to underline the collocations you find.
Remember that just because you know the words, it doesn't mean you know the collocation!
For example, you might see collocations like:
He went bald when he was in his twenties.
It's a big decision, but we have to do something.
It was a little expensive, but still good value.
You might think, "I know the words, so there's nothing to learn here," but this could be
a mistake.
Think about the collocation big decision.
If you don't know the collocation, you might say something else, like large decision or
heavy decision.
However, these don't work.
You need to know the collocation: big decision.
The collocation is almost like a separate word that you need to learn and remember.
Let's practice!
Look at a short text.
There are ten collocations in the text.
The collocations are of different types.
Can you find the ten collocations?
Pause the video, read the text, and try to find them.
Start again when you're ready.
Ready?
Let's look.
One quick point: maybe some of you have different answers.
Maybe some of you think there are more than ten collocations in the text.
You could be right.
There isn't a clear line between what is a collocation and what isn't.
For example, is very patient a collocation?
You could say that it is, or that it isn't.
It isn't clear.
Don't worry about this point.
It doesn't make any difference to how you should study and use collocations.
So, now you've found ten collocations in your text.
You could find more collocations using a dictionary.
For example, there are two collocations in the text with the word friend: become friends
and one of my closest friends.
Can you find two more?
Use your favourite dictionary, preferably a monolingual dictionary.
Look up the word friend, and write down two more collocations.
Pause the video and do it now!

What did you get?
There are many, many possible answers, but maybe you wrote down something like:
make friends (with someone) a good friend
(your) best friend Or: a true friend
Let's do one more.
In the text, you saw the collocation demanding job.
What else can be demanding?
Pause the video, look up demanding in your dictionary, and write down two more possible
collocations.
Ready?
What did you get this time?
Here are three suggestions:
a demanding person a demanding period
a demanding situation
Again, there are other possibilities.
So, when you're reading or listening in English, try to notice the collocations you
see or hear.
You can then use your dictionary to look up related collocations.
However, you'll very quickly have a lot of collocations!
How can you remember them all?
Learning and remembering collocations is the same as learning any other vocabulary.
That means you should:
One: Learn vocabulary from real-life sources, for example from reading articles, listening
to songs, or having conversations with your friends.
Don't learn vocabulary by making big lists of words from the dictionary.
Two: learn and review vocabulary in full sentences.
If you want to remember the collocation keep in touch with someone, don't just write
down the phrase; write down a full sentence which is meaningful for you.
For example: I use Whatsapp to keep in touch with my friends overseas.
Three: you need a system to review vocabulary regularly.
The best way to do this is to use a flashcard app like Quizlet or Anki.
Finally, like any vocabulary, you need to use it, otherwise it won't stick in your
head.
How can you do that?
Here's one suggestion: when you learn collocations, put them in groups by topic.
For example, collocations to describe a person, collocations to describe a city, collocations
to talk about relationships, and so on.
When you have ten or more collocations in a group, write a short text, and try to use
all of the collocations as you write.
For example, if you've found ten collocations to describe a city, you could write a short
paragraph about your hometown using the collocations you've learned.
It might look something like this:
Athens is a sprawling city with a rich history.
The old centre is full of steep, narrow streets and archaeological monuments.
It has a lively atmosphere, especially at night.
You can get around by metro, which is useful because traffic jams are a constant problem.
You can easily find tasty local food in the centre, although touristy places can be overpriced.
There's very little street crime, so you don't have to worry about safety, although
you should look out for pickpockets in the metro.
This can be challenging, but it's worth making the effort.
By using the collocations you learn to write something which is true for you, you'll
be able to remember them more easily.
Finally, let's see how collocations can be the key to increasing your English vocabulary.
Often, students tell us things like:
I need more vocabulary to speak English.
I can't find the right words when I'm speaking.
Or: I need to learn more vocabulary for my IELTS exam.
Or: I want to learn academic vocabulary to express my ideas clearly.
What if we told you that you could improve your vocabulary massively, without even learning
any new words?
What?
How can that be?
It's not about how many words you know; it's about how you use those words.
Remember earlier, you saw the collocation big decision?
Probably, all of you know the words big and decision, but we're guessing not all of
you knew the collocation big decision.
Most of the collocations in this lesson are probably similar.
The individual words might not be new, but the combination is.
You've seen around thirty to forty different collocations in this lesson.
Actually, you've seen many more, but we've highlighted that many.
This is a tiny, tiny proportion of the collocations we could have shown you.
Collocations are everywhere, and many of them use words you're already familiar with.
So here's our final piece of advice: spend more time learning collocations.
Don't just learn single words; learn combinations and phrases with them.
Learn collocations using the vocabulary you have.
Follow the steps in this lesson: find collocations by reading or listening, use good vocabulary
learning practices, and use collocations by writing short texts on different topics.
This way, you can learn to use the vocabulary you already know to express a wider range
of ideas.
You'll be able to talk more fluently and naturally, and express yourself more clearly.

As I arrived at the gate, I saw several silhouettes.

"Long time no see. You seem pretty well?"
"Ooh! Nishino and... eh? S-Shiraishi...san!?"
"Why are you so surprised?"
"N-No, I'm not. This is so nostalgic."

On the contrary, you can find plenty of food at the hotel

Refilled with energy thanks to the delicious food, the next day we're ready to head to Kamikochi
The color of this pond is amazing as you can see. it's called Kamikochi Taisho Ike. so Ike stays for pond, even though it's actually a lake
Can follow the river through the walking pass?
While enjoying the gorgeous nature around you
The path will lead you to the famous Kappa Bashi
A bridge named after the mythical creature that inhabits clear water rivers according to japanese tradition
On the second floor, you can find a restaurant called Kappa Shokudo
Which specializes in pork and chicken, served with local vegetables (Sanzokuyaki)
It also offers a special view on the river and the bridge
From here there is a direct bus to Matsumoto and its famous castle
A spot you can enjoy even on rainy days thanks to its beautiful garden and details
Don't miss the chance to take pictures with the ancient royal family
On the way back you can stop at Daio wasabi farm
what you see over there it's all wasabi and
They cover it in summer in order for it not to get too dry but usually it's super green
You can also be taught by the webmaster on how to cut it
And turn it into a seasoning thing

Using Options to Manage Risk | Nancy Davis | Expert View - Duration: 3:08.
I trade options for a living and do it professionally, but I think-- I really believe in it.
I think having defined risk, having asymmetric payoffs, and reversing the order of traditional
risk management, if you think about traditional-- just take a CTA or a macro portfolio, the
whole way that risk is managed is based on historical correlations, which may or may
not hold into tomorrow's environment, and also using stop losses.
And for me, I think that's just backwards.
I think creating a portfolio and risk-managing it only after you've lost money is wrong.
You know, you shouldn't be losing investors money and then managing risk.
So stop losses to me are sort of the enemy.
And it's funny because people always talk about stop losses like they're some great--
you know, oh, we have really tight stop losses.
And if you think about it, it just means, when their shorts go up, they liked being
short before, and now they're buying it and covering that short after it's gone in their
face, or when they're long a security and they really like whatever that security is,
and they sell it after it's gone down.
So I think a very safe way for investors to kind of start dabbling in options is only
buy, whether you're buying calls, puts, payer swaptions, receiver swaptions, if you buy
options, you know the most that you can lose is limited to the premium at risk.
And so it's almost like a debit card strategy, where you can get a levered payout, but you
have a defined amount of premium at risk.
I'm personally not a fan of delta one derivatives.
I know that probably sounds bizarre that I-- you know, we run a portfolio that's just derivatives,
but I really prefer options.
I think options are the best way to invest, the best ways to have that attractive risk/reward,
that attractive asymmetry, where heads I win but tails I don't lose too much, or at least
I know how much I'm going to lose, whereas a future, it's more like a credit card, where
you have a lot of exposure to an asset that you're not fully paying for it, but you have
margin calls.
And the margin calls can change intraday.
So people always complain about theta for people who like to buy options.
I'm like, well, when you buy an option-- say you buy a long-dated put, maybe a one-year
put-- you're locking in the cost to borrow today by owning that put option, because options
are priced off the forward.
So it's another way to win on short exposures because, when a security goes down, the cost
of borrow goes up.
And so Home Capital Group, is the Canadian homebuilder stock-- Warren Buffett ended up
bailing it out, but when the security started to go down, the borrow can shoot up to infinity.
It was 200% the first, you know, 15% down.
So you could have had tremendous alpha and been sitting short that stock for three years
but not made any money, because 200% borrow means the security has to go to zero in six
months just to break even.
So I think thinking about shorts, especially in options, is a better way to short the market.

In this video I'm going make a mixed media tag with fabScraps scrapbook paper as a base
I applied a thin layer of gesso on the tag with a plastic card
and now I add some colour with the ink pad on my work surface
and I spray some water so I can dip in my tag
I add colours and in between I dry so I can add another layer and the colours
will be over the other colours here and there and don't mix
by the way I added the products I used in the description box for you and

No I add a flower pattern with a stencil and a sponge
I don't use the ink blending tool because
of the thickness of the stencil it will ruin the sponge applicator
I spray some water in my hand and flick the drops
on the tag and let it set a bit and then dry
making some splats with diluted black gesso and let it dry
and now I'm going to add the embellishment mousse with a stencil
I use a card to apply the mousse
then I sprinkle on embossing powder, I don't want it everywhere
so I sprinkle on a little bit and then shake it off and I melt the powder
the mousse is not dry yet so the powder sticks easy
going to add some more mousse here and there to get some more blue colour
adding a sentiment and some white pearls to finish the tag

That's a great question and we're going to talk about that today.
Hi, there. I'm Angela Brown and this is Ask a House Cleaner.
This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question
and I get to help you find an answer.

kinds of things that you need to grow your cleaning business and there's also more business
advice than what I might give you today.
Now, coming back to the question which was written in from a house cleaning business
owner who wants to know what is the best piece of advice.
Well, the best piece of advice and I'm not sure there's one best piece of advice.
There are probably several. But the first one that comes to my mind takes me back to
the time I went to buy a car. And I was new to buying cars
and I did not know a lot about negotiation.
And I drove by the car dealership and I thought
"I'll just stop because it doesn't cost anything to stop and look."
So I stopped and as I was looking at a car, I was greeted by a high pressured salesman.
As we started talking, he kind of encouraged me, if you will,
to take the car for a test drive.
So I took this car for a test drive, and before you know it, I was inside his office and he
was trying to wrap up the deal.
And I wasn't quite ready to buy.
I wasn't sure if I was going to sell my existing car or if I was going to trade it in.
I hadn't actually gone over my bank numbers yet so I wasn't sure what my payment was going
to be and what I could afford on a monthly basis.
I was just in the beginning stages of looking at the different types of cars and what would
best be suited for my business.
But instead of taking what I needed into consideration, he took into consideration what he needed
and he needed a sale for the day.
I sat there in his office feeling very high pressured and I started to feel a little bit
uncomfortable because I didn't know how to get out of this situation I was in,
when he said to me these words, and it left a lasting impact on me.
He said, "Well, what are your options if you don't buy this car?"
And I started thinking about that.
And I thought, "Wait a second.
I do have other options.
I'm going to leave right now and I'm going to go home and I'm going to think about my
other options."
What's interesting about this is this became one of the very best pieces of advice I could
give a new business owner is what are your other options.
There are times in house cleaning that we're face to face with a customer who's really
unhappy with our work and we want to fire them and never see them again, or we have
employees that are just being belligerent and they're making our lives miserable.
And we want to just fire them and move on.
What are your other options?
Now, my suggestion is always look for three because the first one that you have might
be a gut instinct.
It might be a gut reaction.
It might be you spinning off the top of your head and it might not be your best decision.
If you think of a second one, it might be the polar opposite and it might be, "Well,
I could not fire them at all and I could just let them walk all over the top of me, or they
might be happy medium somewhere in between.
Now, my suggestion is if you spend the time and you pull out any pen or paper, or you
use your cellphone or however you take notes and you write down at least three options,
this would be my best advice.
There are always more options.
And when you are aware of your options, then you have choices.
Because you could still fire the person or you could still fire the client
but you might decide to do something different instead.
Now, oftentimes, my gut instinct guides me but before I make a decision, I sit down and
I look at the different options that are available to me and I can always go back to my gut instinct.
I can always follow that gut reaction.
But instead of just reacting to it, how about if I try to resolve this first and I can always
come back and fire this person at a later date if need be or I can fire this customer
at a later date if need be.
And so I have other options.
My best piece of advice to you would be, do listen to your gut and do follow your instincts
but not hastily.
Not hastily.
There are times in this business where it's easier to try to mend a broken fence than
it is to try to replace it.
And by that I mean if you have something that has gone awry, whose fault is it?
And if it's your fault and you can fix it and you can correct it, then you've saved
the customer and you save the day.
And there are a lot of customers over the course of my career I wished I would have fired.
And as times went on and we were able to work things out,
our relationship became stronger not weaker
and they became my allies and my friends.
I could have just let them go.
So, there are times in business where you're just going to want to "Ah!"
And get rid of everything but don't do it just yet.
Stop and look at your other options because when you're aware of your options,
then you have choices.
