In today's episode we'll be talking about
what GS is and why it was needed.
We'll also be covering tankers' meetup in Krasnodar
and telling you about international tournaments.
Hello tankers!
More than a week ago
with the Nuclear Energy update a new indicator was added to the game --
Gear Score, or GS.
It is a unified parameter of how powerful your tank is.
After the release we saw quite a few comments like "Why do we need it?",
"It was easier to understand before!" and others.
The GS index is a total score of how many upgrades your currently used tank has.
It shows the modification and upgrades of turrets,
hulls and drone, if it's equipped,
protection levels and in the least if there's a skin and how rare the paint is,
and even the number of supplies that the player has.
This is a short, concise and easy to understand indicator.
We have decided that the tank information displayed in battles
like it was before is excessive.
Tanki Online is too dynamic of a game
to stop and study detailed parameters of tanks during the battle.
At the same time, the numerical index gives an instant understanding --
"this tank is cooler than mine, I need to be careful" or
"this tank is so weak, it's practically done."
Another thing is -- Gear Score may show an incorrect number.
This issue occurred most often right after the update was released.
Now the mechanic works correctly, but with one clarification:
on a rare occasion it may still be incorrect, and here's why:
since GS was added to the game, we've made several changes to the system.
After such changes the numbers on some accounts could become incorrect,
but it can be easily solved -- just change any piece of equipment.
In the future, Gear Score will look very fitting to the new interface,
which is being prepared for the HTML5-version of the game.
It will be done in the same unified style as the interface of the mobile version,
but, of course, adapted for computers.
We will tell you more about the new interface in one of the upcoming episodes.
The tankers' meetup in Krasnodar is already happening next Saturday.
We remind you: the meetup starts 10 AM UTC.
We have already mentioned the event schedule,
but let's check it a bit closer:
First of all, of course --
the introduction from Semyon Strizhak about the latest changes in the game
and development plans for the future.
Right after that we will answer your questions like
"why? when? and what if?".
Next will come the on-stage quiz.
We ask you about the game and Tanki history.
There will be a lot of questions of various difficulty and many different prizes,
including a Prestigio tablet for the most difficult question.
After such a hard quiz there will be another one
- a quieter one.
We give you a big challenge, and you can solve it using your phones.
Among the prizes there's also tablets!
Also there will be a giveaway for all guests,
open-air games where you can win smaller prizes
and a bonus for those who bought the Tanki in Krasnodar kit.
So invite your friends, moms and dads and come to the event!
At the beginning of this month a duo tournament called "Holiday Rail"
started in the Polish community.
Every team who had players with ranks from Brigadier to Legend
could join the tournament,
and after many intense battles the Group stage ended last week.
Now it's time to reveal who the king of XP in Poland is
and who's gonna get precious "Lime" paint along with tons of crystals!
With only 4 teams remaining in the competition
you will be able to watch the Grand Final live
on the official Polish spectators channel.
Good luck to all!
Video of the Week.
In the last episode we asked you to record a video about the new Vulcan update,
let's watch the best video!
For the next episode record a video showing off what you're capable of.
It's up to you to decide what it means, but you must wear the Metallic paint.
That's it for today's episode!
We congratulate all students on the start of a new academic and school year!
Follow the news and don't miss the tankers' meetup.
Bye!
Last week Magnum shot at a bunch of tanks,
and you had to guess how many would blow up.
The right answer is -- 3.
Let's welcome the winners and here's the new question:
Who will destroy the Mammoth?
