Micro-Biology: Crash Course History of Science #24 - Duration: 12:12.

What makes beer? Single-celled organisms. What makes us cough and feel like sleeping

for twelve straight hours Straight? Single-celled organisms. AKA microbes, germs, the tiny machines

that allow us to digest—and can kill us. "What is life?" Turns out, life is relentless,

everywhere on earth!

[Intro Music Plays]

Microbes are invisible: they're single cells.

So to understand microbes—that is, to do microbiology—scientists first needed to

study cells.

German botanist Matthias Schleiden and physiologist Theodor Schwann

proposed a modern cell theory around 1837: every living thing

is made up of one or more cells. So the cell was the fundamental unit of life, the thing

that gives structure to all forms of life. Amazingly, Schleiden—who studied plants—and

Schwann—who studied animals—both noticed tiny dots in the middles of the cells they

looked at under their microscopes. These nuclei must somehow be important to all life, they figured—correctly.

Darwin's chief public defender, Thomas Henry

Huxley, also wrote a article called "The Cell–Theory" in 1853.

Where the Germans were cataloging different microscopic forms, Huxley proposed a mechanistic

model: cells are little factories with different parts that have different functions. Their

functions make the parts add up into an organic whole.

Not every scientist believed cell theory right away, but many came around, as microscope-enabled

evidence mounted.

And yet, being able to observe single-celled organisms didn't immediately lead scientists

to connect them to disease. In fact, medicine in the early 1800s mostly

worked the way it had hundreds or even a thousand years earlier. It was still all about liquids

called humors. But some diseases were understood differently.

These were caused by a kind of invisible badness in the environment called a miasma.

According to miasma theory, diseases were caused by foul-smelling airs that came from

rotting meats, swamps, and other putrefying sources.

Before you knock it, think about it: this theory mostly works. Dangerous microbes grow

on smelly, dirty stuff. The smell is a byproduct of the microbes' eating organic matter.

But even today, we can't see these microbes without instruments. So following our unaided

senses is still smart: don't eat gross trash!

Sniff the turkey before you eat it. And then, just eat it anyway like I did this morning.

By the mid-1800s, however, a few scientific rebels were pushing a germ theory of disease. This holds that germs, or pathogenic microorganisms,

cause infectious diseases. [Snow]

Around this time, a nasty germ called Vibrio cholerae provided

an opportunity to test the theory out.h Cholera had ravaged England since the germ

started to travel widely out of south Asia in the early 1800s, hitching rides on the

expanding armada of merchant ships. Empire had all kinds of unpredicted downsides.

In 1854, a bad cholera epidemic hit Broad Street in the Soho neighborhood of London,

killing over six hundred people. One doctor named John Snow had a hunch about what was

going on. Snow created a map of the outbreak and noted

that the cases seemed to cluster around one public well. He hypothesized that cholera

microbes were rapidly multiplying in its water. So he convinced the Soho council to remove

the well's pump handle. People went elsewhere for water, and the cholera infections decreased.

John Snow became a hero! Saving Lives! Even though, it turned out, the outbreak was already in decline when

he removed the handle. Thus proving that some John Snows, do know

somethings.

Snow's quick thinking didn't really prove germ theory. For germs to replace miasmas

in their minds, scientists would require a better model of what germs are, and how they

behave. For that, we turn to one of the first experimental

microbiologists and a dude whose name you probably should know from milk labels: Louis Pasteur

Born in France in 1822—the same year as

Galton—Pasteur was a chemist, not a physician. But he is known for his work on germs and

health. Pasteur is credited as the co-founder of microbiology

and the founder of modern zymology, the science of fermentation. Fermentation

is the biological and chemical process needed to make beer, wine, yogurt, cheese, bread,

and many other foods. ThoughtBubble, show us what that means.

Chemically, fermentation is the conversion of sugar molecules into ethanol, or alcohol,

and carbon dioxide. In food, this usually happens thanks to bacteria

or yeast. Looking good, Saccharomyces! Pasteur first connected yeast to the fermentation

of wine in 1857. He observed that microscopic yeast on grape skins makes grape juice ferment

into wine. If you sterilize the skins, killing the yeast, fermentation won't happen.

Pasteur even made the the analogy that the microbes growing in wine and beer were similar

to the microbes causing diseases in humans and animals. He hypothesized that microbes

are everywhere and must be responsible for all kinds of phenomena, like making food spoil.

So in 1865, he patented a process in which liquids such as milk were heated to a temperature

between sixty and one hundred degrees Celsius in order to kill microbes. This became known

as pasteurization. It may sound kinda simple, but this was revolutionary!

Earlier, Nicolas Appert had invented canning to make foods safe, so Napoleon could fight

wars for longer. But Pasteur's method used a lower temperature, thus preserving tastes

and textures. Related to this idea of killing bad germs,

Pasteur also helped develop hygienic medical practices, along with British surgeon Joseph

Lister. No germs in the operating room! Most importantly for the history of biology,

Pasteur got tangled up in a debate with a fellow scientist named Félix Pouchet

who believed that living things spawn naturally from certain environments. This widely held

belief was called spontaneous generation.

Pasteur, based on his observations of grapes, reasoned that living things can only grow

from other living things. So he created an ingenious experiment to prove the theory of

biogenesis, or life from life. Pasteur showed that no germs would grow in

sealed, sterilized long-necked flasks full of beef broth. But in sterilized but open

flasks, microbes would eventually show up.

Thanks Thoughtbubble. After proving biogenesis, in the 1870s, Pasteur worked on immunology

and vaccination. Pasteur's work with the rabies and anthrax microbes supported the

germ theory and its use in medicine: if you could identify a microorganism, you could

give someone a weakened version of it, or vaccine, and the patient taking the vaccine

would develop immunity to the real bug. And in 1879, Pasteur developed the first lab-manufactured

vaccine, for chicken cholera. It was around this time that germ theory was

finally widely accepted, in part due to Pasteur's work.

But Pasteur's ethics were questionable: when rabies vaccines for humans rolled out,

Pasteur kept his data on their effectiveness secret. He even kept secret mortality data,

or how many people his vaccines didn't help. So unlike today, in Pasteur's time, it wasn't

necessarily a norm that useful medical research should be shared publicly.

But Pasteur was not the only notable germ

wrangler. Born in 1843, the German physician Robert Koch painstakingly worked

at a microscope to definitively establish the germ concept of disease.

He identified different microbes, becoming the leader of a large research team in Berlin.

They founded the discipline of bacteriology, or the study of bacteria, particularly in

relation to human health. In the late 1880s and '90s, Koch and his

team traveled into areas experiencing epidemics, including India and Egypt, to identify the

microbes causing diseases there. By ID-ing these microorganisms, they hoped to create

vaccines. First, Koch proved that the anthrax germ causes

anthrax-the-disease. Later, he identified the bacterium that causes tuberculosis or

TB, which was a very widespread disease. Koch also characterized cholera, vindicating

the work of John Snow by showing that the bacterium lives naturally in the small intestine

of humans. Snow wasn't just high on ether: he'd correctly guessed how cholera spreads!

Eventually, Koch's team contributed to the identification of the germs that causes diphtheria,

typhoid, pneumonia, gonorrhea, meningitis, whooping cough, tetanus, plague, leprosy,

and syphilis. …I would not want to borrow this dude's

lucky microscope!

It's been through a lot!

Through this work, Koch developed the four postulates or steps for identifying infectious

diseases. One, the microorganism must always be present,

in every case of the disease.

Two, the germ must be able to be isolated from a host containing the disease and grown

in a lab, in a "culture." Three, samples taken from the culture must

cause the same disease when introduced into a healthy model animal like a mouse.

Four, the germ must be isolated from that new animal, meaning it is the same organism

that caused the disease in the original host.

So structure matters: in all infections, germs grow out of hand, throwing the body out of

whack and causing inflammation. These bad germs, or pathogens, develop and live within

us, and can kill us. But with Pasteur's vaccines and Koch's

scientific method of ID-ing bacteria, humans could now develop medicines to fight jerk-sauce

germs. Go team us!

Back in the world of multicellular organisms, another scientist at the intersection of biology

and medicine was exploring the structure of living things.

In 1892, German-American physiologist Jacques Loeb began his experiments

on embryonic development, or how organisms grow from single-celled embryos into whatever

they're supposed to look like. So he started dunking sea urchin embryos into

different salt solutions. And, in 1899, he got one to give birth… just from being salty!

Loeb's artificial parthenogenesis, or birth from the self, was mega-astounding news. It

raised basic questions, such as what is sex? Could a human one day give birth by herself…

or him-self? Causing sea urchins to give virgin births made Loeb a celebrity.

But for the history of biology, it was revolutionary that Loeb's sense of scientific understanding

of life was tied to his ability to control it. His work with sea urchins can be seen

as an early form of bioengineering, or treating cells and tissues as machine-parts to be used

constructively by a human designer. Loeb's notable students included the behavioral

psychologists, B. F. Skinner and J. B. Watson, and a creator of birth control, Gregory Pincus.

Biology, like other scientific disciplines, shows a historical arc from observations to

experiments, and from less control to more. From the mid-1800s to the early 1900s, scientists

moved from mostly believing that living things spontaneously appear out of nowhere to controlling

fermentation on a massive scale. Cheers to that!

Next time—we'll add the missing mechanism to this crazy Rube Goldberg machine we call

biology: it's time for a monk named Mendel to accidentally figure out genetic variation—in

mice, men, and peas. Crash Course History of Science is filmed

Makeup Tutorial by Pautips: Look sencillo para fin de semana - Duration: 5:46.

For Monick makeup,

I'll create a simple look,

but one she can recreate a weekend or for a special occasion.

Makeup is an accessory you can remove every night.

If you want to use black eyeshadows, you'll use them.

If you didn't like it, you remove it.

The most important thing is to prepare the skin.

I always apply Primer or a moisturizer.

That will prepare your skin.

I'll apply it to the T-zone and then I'll blur it.

I started with her eyebrows.

I really like ointments because they define the natural shape.

I also taught her to define them with a little bit of concealer.

For eyebrows to look more refined and highlighted.

Eyebrows are essential to me because they define your eyes,

they define your face.

You have to take care of them, even if you'll create a simple look.

So, I'll take that product for eyebrows.

With a thin brush, I'll follow the natural shape of your eyebrows.

I'll use the largest amount of product at the end,

which is where I'll mark the last part of her eyebrows.

I'll blur the rest of the product in the central part.

So, a color degrade will be created and it'll look more natural.

This is a very important step:

To brush your eyebrows after applying makeup,

because the color will be more distributed.

Many girls your age still don't wax their eyebrows.

I have a trick for them to look waxed.

You take a bit of concealer

and clean your eyebrows.

For the eyeshadows,

I love the form of her lids, they're easy to apply makeup.

I created a look in bronze tones.

I think it looks beautiful on her.

I'll take a bit more of concealer and I'll apply it to your eyelids

to create a base for the eyeshadows.

The color can fade if you apply eyeshadows directly to your skin.

You always have to use some kind of foundation.

I like to start with matt colors.

They're easy to work with.

At the end, I'll apply the shiny ones.

When I want glitter in my eyes and I don't have eyeshadows,

this is a tanner with glitter.

You can take a bit with your finger.

You apply it as if it were an eyeshadow.

With this skin tone, these colors look amazing.

Earth tones and red tones look amazing.

I'll use a foundation perfect for you.

It's very important to choose the right skin tone.

I'll make little dots with the sponge

and I'll make your skin tone even.

Something that is very important and that many people forget

is to apply foundation to their neck.

Everything has to match.

I see some women with a color from here up

and other color from here down.

So, we make sure everything has the same color.

Monick will fall asleep here,

because she's like in a spa.

Spa. "Spau." "Spautips."

Then, I made contouring.

I know people love this part.

You make lines everywhere in coffee colors, white and the like.

Then, you blur it and everything looks great.

For contouring, I like to use liquid or creamy products.

I think it's easier to use them and they define the color better.

First, I'll use a light color

to highlight the part below your eyes.

This will highlight your cheekbones and make your face thinner.

Then, I'll use a darker color.

I like to blur darker colors first.

If it gets dirty, I can clean them.

What I'll do is to try to maintain this color here and blur it upward.

I have very big cheeks.

So, I try to put lighter color here

for my bags to go up.

In my cheeks, I use darker colors for them to look thinner.

We're making a full glam.

Her skin tone is cinnamon.

I like to accentuate it.

I'll use a glossy tanner.

I'll apply it here to highlight this zone.

This matches with her eyeshadows.

I'll blur it.

To end this makeup, I'll use highlighter.

I applied it a bit to the upper part,

to the corner of her eyes, to her septum...

To the parts I wanted to look radiant.

To finish this contouring, I'll use a bit of highlight.

Look how it shines, I love it.

For her lips, I wanted to use a peach tone.

She didn't have a mirror, but she saw when I was applying it.

She told me: "I don't like that color."

And I said: "OK, I'll use a reddish tone."

And she was right, red and dark colors looked better on her.

I loved her makeup.

First, I'll use a nude tone on your lips.

And I'll apply a bit of gloss to complement the look.

I'll apply a bit and I'll blur it for it to look more natural.

If we feel the lip gloss is heavy,

we can use a lip balm.

And we mix them. This also moisturize your lips.

And we don't feel that our lips have too much makeup.

I loved this makeup.

I didn't apply too many things, you'll love this makeup.

To end your look, it's very important to seal the makeup

for it to last like this, intact, the whole day.

Don't breathe, don't breathe!

That's all regarding makeup, I hope you liked it,

that you learnt a few tricks, how to make contouring,

how to use highlight...

Then, you have to watch my videos, Monick.

-So, you'll learn new tricks. -Of course.

The WORST TEACHERS WE HAD!! (NO MERCY) - Duration: 11:36.

Dr. Clark you suck..

The Worst Teachers We Had! Worst Teachers Ever, Bad Teacher Stories, Enjoy!

if you went to school you probably have had a bad

teacher you're probably thinking of them right now

but you didn't have the guts to say anything did you but we do so we're

gonna make this video and make a group chat we thought so we wrote down the

worst teachers from first grade all the way up to college that we've had one of

the stories is gonna be absolutely fake so comment down below after watching on

which what do you think is the fake one go this one it was insane I think I'm in

like first or second grade okay I'm a little Eric it was computer lab I

remember it very vividly little Eric's friend is a girl sitting right next to

me Frank Aurra she wasn't a friend friend yeah

we've all had a teacher that doesn't let you go to the bathroom

this teacher paid his price today so he doesn't let this girl go to the bathroom

that's sitting next to me in computer lab me being a gentleman I also know but

I offer a bucket people really think it princess good you know you were oh not

even like 10 15 minutes later I hear I look down and if you're thinking this is

the fake one it's not I'm gonna get that out of the way come on fake sheepy and

she's just like was so embarrassed obviously oh just going streaming down

and she like gets up and then there's a big puddle of pee and I'm next to all

this and then I see it going out of like

it's magic to you you're a teacher what do you have to say for yourself Oh 14

year olds wouldn't feed my class yeah we would next story

next story chili so in sixth grade throws this new teacher in our school

and she was teaching math Gary's favorite subject is math but I'll just

point out music Gary cuz you know this oh yeah she came in mid-april I was

doing fine and six Big Mac OH I was doing the numbers man she comes in

she gives me a test I get it D oh my god yes

I'm not sure if I'm right or wrong but I was like this is right this is right you

don't know math you want me to teach you math I was so big I was so pissed that

here at the end of the year we had this book a book of like a mash-up of

students random poems drawings or whatever write a poem I think I did sir

or basically sets you such a bad teacher in the bitch shrine this guy I think

this poem honor I did it this poem I wrote a name just misses something

anyway the school is gonna copy hundreds of them but they didn't want that

teacher's name to be what they do they white it out do you white it out in

printing but everything shows the whole name shows is just like a bad whiteout

job bus legendary the own hashtag savage

savage reward thug yes grandma bro reminding me of teachers that gave me a

scary story reminded me of a teacher that gave me a bad grade I gave you -

what's up a history that's the only thing I know and like and I love why

should I know history so you know what's happened in the past so you won't make a

mistake again anyways I'm doing good in this teacher's class I get me I get I do

good in this person's cars and I get my could be a see ya

sometimes a on like a homework assignment doesn't really matter right

she gave me a deep for the in the class

you didn't catch the only reason I'm saying this teachers - because she gave

me they make sense oh thanks she didn't teach you to get a

name I was only one but it does make sense

sure paid more in touch yeah where's the support than my rest of my life

where's Emma like if I were to tell this to my girlfriend dogs you'd be like yeah

cause you stupid daddy so loud I don't get ministers you can't tow it in our

kitchen you can't work inside our teacher gave

me a b-minus on my drawing why cuz she didn't like it yeah it's an opinion your

opinion is wrong literally she goes draw this drawing and then I'll Drive with a

pen know that honey how are you guys watch this and then drive with only dogs

I drew it with only doc she gave me a b-minus okay how can you get a b-minus

in art in the moment it doesn't make sense if I take art I'm either coming in

as a bad artist or a good artist you're not gonna make me a good artist in the

week why are you giving this kid a b-minus he sucks it's fun no this one

was in college I want to remember his name let's finish chewing first dr.

Kennard not to be confused with Lewis Clark dr. Claude you son you should not

be teaching in the 21st century what happened dr. Clark is a history teacher

what why are you guys Saks we have to make a documentary in class he goes

compiled a thousand pictures and make voiceovers throw out those pictures I'd

want the most boring thing I'll just use my face like is it a voiceover or beef

my place you'll make a youtube channel or any documentary that the guy's face

comes in hell I are coming tonight

oh there he tells the class this and I go can I do with my face and not

voiceover and he goes documentaries he's obviously like 85

trillion years old he's old hey then he's like that's not how

documentaries are supposed to be made documentaries don't have people's faces

in them there's a middle class we sat there for 30 minutes going back and

forth I got you many documentaries with people's faces and um then he goes which

one the name right now I have never seen a documentary with pictures in it that's

what I have seen yeah even if no one put their faces in documentaries what's

wrong with innovation you know the innovation is key the progression for 30

minutes I went back and forth the entire class was just watching us and then

eventually the assistant came up to me he's like doc that guy's an idiot dollar

you chilling like cuz obviously ones are what happened with doctor course of

course my face half the video you apologize to me I'm sorry teacher in

college he was teaching history this guy was a science teacher who's going to

teach the second half of like the semester class so like once this girl's

gonna teach someone steals right so this girl was fine this guy comes nobody can

understand them I'm telling you it if you can make this impression you have to

it was an Irish guy that sounded like an exaggerated or not the source name no no

no this is exactly what he sounded like

this guy was straight out of a cartoon something pulled them out I'm talking

halfway through semester half the people stop showing goes there's one teacher oh

my god we're taking the quiz when you finish your quiz you put it up and you

go sit down in your seat in high school and you just sit there wait he starts

creating the quizzes everyone's almost done he's still grading he was like a

cowboy well obviously not that loud but enough to where he's like I have the

attention of the class now the entire class just erupts in laughter and magic

and the best line is when we were all laughing he doesn't stop us he goes see

Matthew when you're done everyone he didn't want a teacher yells at you

because that doesn't help my piano teacher I'm playing the piano she starts

getting mad she starts yelling and cussing at me someone gets mad at you

and you're shaking your leg worse I have the same problems my piano teacher this

guy's literally slept through my entire class I was just playing and I look like

this guy's sleepy and I just I'm like okay here Gary you playing in the might

wake up and then look like do you sweep me up

7:59 I leave that classroom doing things

a lot of the jokes that happen every time he slept through my entire lesson

so I was teaching my Sunday

why is your biding everything like why is your mouth ready cuz it's

Troy something no no over there I'm sit sit I'm getting more nuts it stop who is

your most hated teacher Tagum if you haven't subscribed yet alright tell them

what you're gonna do this done the thing is I'm not gonna be able to make it that

day Oh Phil Oh Phil Eric's gonna come to

your house and literally take all the toilet papers out of your house and then

when you're in the bathroom you are white and you you're my where's the

toilet paper do you say you don't have any you're gonna be wifeless dirty

you're gonna you're gonna have a poopy butt and you're gonna spank all because

you didn't subscribe and you were new to this channel Congrats what's it worth

thing subscribe for videos three times a week

and until next time see ya and leave a like if you have a teacher

I see going on I had a teacher that had a fight with her husband in class oh my

god over the phone watch your phone in class of the when I'm on my phone she go

England vs Spain: Liverpool fans LOVE what Eric Dier did to Sergio Ramos - Did you see it? - Duration: 2:27.

Liverpool supporters were delighted with the performance in Eric Dier as England beat Spain in Seville

Usually, the Reds fanbase is sceptical about the Tottenham midfielder given the fact he rivals Jordan Henderson for a place in Gareth Southgate's midfield

England raced into a 3-0 half-time lead thanks to a brace from Raheem Sterling and a Marcus Rashford strike

Spain fought back in the second half with goals from Paco Alcacer and Sergio Ramos

But it wasn't England's superb attacking display that Reds fans loved most. Dier clattered into Ramos after pressing the Spain defence

The Real Madrid defender was preparing to clear his lines before Dier lunged into the challenge

The Tottenham star was despite it looking like he got the ball. Ramos was left on the deck holding his ankle

Liverpool fans have expressed their dislike for Ramos after he injured Mohamed Salah in the Champions League final

The Real Madrid captain refused to show any remorse since the event. "Eric Dier to be given keep to the city of Liverpool following class with Sergio Ramos," one fan said

Another wrote: "All of a sudden Eric Dier is my hero #Ramos." "I'm know an Eric Dier fan, after that tackle on Ramos," a third joked

A fourth fan wrote: "The moment when Dier clattered into Ramos In the first half and the look on Sergios face after was game won

Well done lads done the nation proud #ESPENG #ItsComingHome."

Ant McPartlin and his estranged wife Lisa Armstrong will be divorced tomorrow.  The former couple's divorce is listed to be heard by a judge at the Central Family Court in London on Tuesday

The 42-year-old, who is one half of TV duo Ant and Dec, confirmed in January that he and his wife were splitting following months of speculation about their relationship

In a statement issued at the time, a representative said: "In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after eleven years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin

Read More Ant McPartlin and Anne-Marie Corbett  "Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families

"No further statement will be made."  The couple met at a roadshow in Newcastle in the mid-1990s while Lisa was an aspiring pop star in Deuce

He has often spoken of their struggle to have children.  Last year Ant entered rehab after struggling with a two-year addiction to super-strength painkillers following a knee operation in 2015

In April he was banned from the road for 20 months and fined £86,000 for driving while more than twice the legal limit

He later announced he is stepping back from TV commitments and will not appear on the next series of I'm a Celebrity

Get Me Out of Here!  He will be replaced by Holly Willoughby, who will host the show alongside Declan Donnelly from Australia later this year

Ant is now dating his former personal assistant, Anne-Marie Corbett.  And it was recently revealed that he even has her picture as the screensaver on his phone

Ant, who is celebrating six months of sobriety, was seen clutching his phone in his hand as he headed into a meeting with pal Dec

Photographers snapping pictures of him captured his screensaver, which is a cute picture of him snuggling up to his girlfriend

Belgrade Kendo Trophy 2018-My experience • Vlog - Duration: 23:32.

Good morning everybody...

I have to talk quietly, because my grandma is in the other room, sleeping, and i don't want to wake her up...

*sniff*

Hopefully i can be heard properly...

If i'm not, i'll edit it a bit. It shouldn't be too hard.

Um...

*hears something*

It can be done...

Well...

There won't be a proper video this week...

Because...

In Belgrade, in Sports Hall

There is an event called

Um...

Belgrade Cup (Trophy)

It's one of the biggest kendo tournaments in Europe.

Now...

Not everyone knows what kendo is...

Basically, it is...

japanese swordfighting art.

Samurai swordfighting, to be exact...

For it, it is used...

Um...

Replicas of katana.

I mean...

Imitations of katana, which are called shinai.

Which are made out of 4 bamboo peaces...

But, you'll see it all...

Now...

Why do i keep saying ''now''?!

It's not your ''now'', it's only dawn here.

Ah.

*morning gibberish*

It's really beautiful, but you can't really see anything on camera because of the Sun.

It's really nice.

I have no idea how many foreigners are watching this...

And i feel like i should give a disclaimer.

There will be subtitles down here (really?)

I need to tell the disclaimer, yes.

These are NOT

highlights from the tournament.

This is only my personal experience on the said tournament...

... i'll be recording myself, the things i see that are happening.

Perhaps some finals... i dunno.

Simply, I just wanted to record this event

And myself on the event, because i participate, after all.

Who knows? Maybe (hopefully) some of the people watching will gain interest in kendo

Let's go.

*hot af*

*smacc*

Um... so, i'm rollin'

My skirt is super long...there is a sword on my shoulder...

I'm in armour.

Uhm... i never felt so weird in my life.

Oh well, it's early in the morning, it's Saturday, hopefully people are still asleep.

I'm going there now.

I should have been there 20 minutes ago, i'm late as usual...

Oh well...

Honestly, i have jitters...

I mean, i have jitters every time... my chest hurts and stuff like that, especially on big competitions like this one.

It's really unpleasant.

*shakey cam compilation*

That's my helmet!

This Dimitrije Nedeljkovic(me), some idiot? -Yeah, just some idiot.

THAT'S ME!

Say something.

*judgemental silence*

*kote inspection*

I need kote!

Kote.

Andrejko...

Hm? Mhm.

*thanks sensei <3*

Yo. I've finished my fights. I lost in quarterfinals.

I LoSt My VoIcE

I'll record for a bit more...

I think i could have done better...

Want to say something for the media?

Well...

Go fu*k yourself?

*applause for Kim, the winner of men individual competition*

Oh geez, the light...

Well, that was the first day

Um...

It was nice. I'm happy.

I know that i could have done better.

But sometimes it's not up to your skill, but up to the skill of the opponent.

However...now...

Again with the ''now''... i mean, really...

However, i managed to progress further than the last year.

This year, i got to the quarterfinals, last year, i lost in 1/8

And it was much more interesting, much more fun than the last year

In the end, that's the only thing that's important.

For tomorrow, team competition will be held

And then, the thing that worries me the most

Exam for 1st kyu, which is equivalent of brown belt in other martial arts.

Well, we will see how that goes.

Goodnight!

*2nd day*

Mornin', welcome to day two...

I don't feel enthusiastic at all...

I'm so sleepy...

I think i have a cold.

My throat hurts.

My nose is clogged...

Today we have team competitions.

And exams for the next rank.

In team competition, i'll give it my all...but

I don't think we have good odds, sadly...

And i'm really worried about the exam.

It's not because... i dunno...

I think i have enough technical skill

but i'm worried that i'll get scared, that nervousness will take over. That would be really bad.

*sniff*

Augh...

All in all...

I could be feeling better, honestly.

I'm nowhere near as excited as yesterday.

Hopefully, it will be alright...

Very anticlimatic ending.

I got NO footage from the competition.

My fight was among the first ones, and in the first fight

in the first fight, my thumb got a really bad hit.

It hurts, i can't move it.

The horror.

I mean, i know i was in a bad mood earlier, but now...

I had to take that exam

Sh*t.

I'm going to the hospital, i have to get it scanned.

Yo.

Here i am.

This is, by far, the worst ending of any video, ever.

Um...

The thumb is OK, it's not broken.

But, muscle and fat tissues are battered. Ligament is stretched.

I know how bad it sounds!

"HEY, I STRETCHED MY THUMB LIGAMENT"

But, IT REALLY HURTS!

Tendon is a bit stretched as well.

But, i don't need a cast, and the doc said that i don't need bandages...

However, i still got my hand wrap on, because it makes it feel better to have some support, at least for 1-2 days, until it starts to heal properly.

So, i guess this is the end of the video.

Um, it's, without a doubt, the longest one that i ever made

Considering that i filmed for 2 days

Um...

On both days, i got up super early, so i can record sunrise.

And, honestly, it's beautiful.

The view was truly beautiful.

For the tournament itself...

Even though i got hurt, i have to say...

Never... well, not never...but for a long time

i haven't had this much fun in kendo

First day

was amazing, it was truly pleasing, not only because of the fights, but the atmosphere was totally cool

And the second day...

As i said, i went it there a bit sick

Nervous...

Hoarse.

And, it probably would be fine, but...

Bad hit, it happens, it's an aggressive sport... marital art.

And so on.

I don't know how to wrap this up. I suppose that i should give a grade, a review!

Um...

Of the entire event, so...

All in all, it was nice.

Organization was alright, it knows to be worse.

I got a message, lemme swipe it out of the way.

Organization was alright, as i said, it was on point

Um...

The company was OK, everyone was nice

So, what grade should it be?

Let's say, 9/10.

It's not 10/10, there wasn't enough girls.

*idiotic laugh*

So, i suppose that i'll see you guys next week.

I have no idea when this video will be out, i don't know how i'll edit with this thumb

So...

Hopefully it will be out in the usual time

But, we'll see...

Anyhow, thanks for watching, i hope you got interested in kendo

I'll definitely make a video ABOUT kendo.

Um...

I didn't have any time this week, i had the competition, i had to heal my thumb...

I really hope that you found this interesting, that it was alright for you.

Cya~

Sarri and Klopp's brilliant conversation when Chelsea were beating Liverpool - Duration: 2:04.

Maurizio Sarri has revealed the details of a touchline conversation he had with Jurgen Klopp during Chelsea's draw with Liverpool which shows just how much both men love their jobs

The Blues and the Reds are two of the three unbeaten teams in the Premier League this season, and currently sit joint-top of the table alongside the other, Manchester City

And their 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago showcased the qualities of both sides in what was arguably the game of the season so far

Eden Hazard's well-taken goal had given the hosts the lead in the first half, and Sarri has revealed the chat he had with his opposite number while it was still 1-0

"That (game) was an extraordinary show," the Italian told Corriere dello Sport

"Just 10 minutes earlier, I saw Klopp looking at me with the game going on. I asked: 'Why are you smiling?' He replied: 'Aren't you having fun?'  "I said: 'so much' and he added: 'me too

'  "He was losing at the time."  Klopp's relaxed manner proved to be well-placed, as Daniel Sturridge struck a brilliant equaliser for the Reds with just one minute remaining

"Even after the equaliser, remembering that moment, we hugged like two old friends," continued Sarri

"I'm sure he would've done the same even if Liverpool hadn't equalised.  The Premier League has this joy of football

Chelsea star reveals exactly why Sarri has taken his game to the next level - Duration: 2:46.

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has revealed how Maurizio Sarri's expansive style of football has enabled him to become more productive this season

The Belgium superstar is enjoying his best start to a Premier League campaign scoring seven times in the Premier League and creating three goals for his teammates in eight games so far

Should he continue to replicate this form for the Blues throughout the campaign then he is on course to better his best personal best of 16 goals in the 2016/17 Premier League season

Hazard has been criticised in the past for not matching his undoubted talent on a consistent basis and Sarri has spoken that he should be aiming for 40 goals this season

And speaking to Telefoot , the former Lille winger revealed that the former Napoli boss is having a positive influence on his game because his tactics suit his style compared to previous managers Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho

He said: "I feel like I can shoot from anywhere and score. This season, we have more the ball

Sarri is different from Conte and Mourinho.  "If you don't have the ball for five minutes, he goes crazy

Am I the best player in the world? If the best player in the world is the one who scores the most goals, I'm not the best

"  The playmaker is under contract until 2020 but has yet to put pen-to-paper on a new contract which has sparked speculation whether a move to Spain and Real Madrid could happen in the future

With the west London side still unbeaten in the league, both Sarri and supporters will be hoping that their star player can provide the goals and assists in order to win a fifth Premier League title

England vs Spain: Liverpool fans LOVE what Eric Dier did to Sergio Ramos - Did you see it? - Duration: 2:29.
