Lights go out on Sky Sports... THINGS YOU MISSED FROM SPAIN v ENGLAND - Duration: 5:18.
England got up and running the UEFA Nations League on Monday night by beating Spain on the road in Seville
Raheem Sterling netted twice, either side of a Marcus Rashford goal, before Paco Alcacer and Sergio Ramos hit back for the hosts
Sportsmail's ROBERT SUMMERSCALES has picked out six things you may have missed from Monday's goal-fest
England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was lucky to get away with a major mistake in the second half when he tried to dribble past Rodrigo only to be tackled inside his own 18-yard box
Rodrigo looked certain to punish the error but Pickford managed to recover and pinch the ball back of the striker with a risky slide tackle, after appearing to tug at his shirt
Although Pickford got away with the blunder, people were queuing up on Twitter to remind him of comments he made after Liverpool stopper Alisson did something similar earlier this season
He had said: 'Mistakes will happen and it's about not making the next one.I'm going to try not to put myself in that position to make those mistakes
'Try harder.Spain concede three at home for first time ever England became the first team ever to score three goals away to Spain in a competitive match
Seville endured a torrential downpour on Sunday, but nobody could have predicted that it would rain goals 24 hours later
It took Eric Dier just 12 minutes to pick up the game's first yellow card.and it looked pretty pre-meditated
The England hard man appeared to make a beeline for Spain bad boy Sergio Ramos and sprinted the best part of 30 yards to needlessly crunch into him
Just letting him know he was there. What are those!? Referee Szymon Marciniak had a few decisions to make in Monday's match, but it was his attire that raised a few eyebrows
The Polish official and his team of officials dressed in black shirts, black shorts and RED socks
Brave.Gareth Southgate named England's youngest starting XI for 59 years.Marcus Rashford, 20, Joe Gomez, 21, and Ben Chilwell, also 21, brought the average age of England starters down to just above 23
Twenty-eight-year-old Kieran Trippier was the only player in the XI over the age of 25, while Raheem Sterling was the most experienced player, winning his 46th cap
Sergio Ramos captained Spain as he made his 160th senior international appearance
The Real Madrid defender was a superb fitness record and has not missed a game for Spain in almost two years
He marked the occasion with a goal — his 95th for club and country. Not bad for a defender
Clearly those operating the stadium on Monday night had seen enough as they switched out the lights after the game - despite the television networks still broadcasting
Sportsmail columnist and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp was in the middle of his post-match analysis when he and his fellow presenters were plunged into darkness

Surface Pro 6: Should you upgrade? - Duration: 7:18.
if you already own a surface pro is the surface pro six good enough to upgrade
Microsoft recently introduced the surface pro 6 and we're actually
finishing up our hour review but we can answer a question today that you
probably are wondering about if you already own a surface pro is the surface
pro 6 worth it now there are three generations of surface pros for your
recent generations and they're all pretty much functionally identical what
we have here is the surface pro 2017 and what we have here is the surface pro 6
again if they weren't if they were the same color you probably wouldn't be able
to tell the difference there's two changes though with the surface pro 6
the first obviously is the color this is the first time since say the surface pro
2 that the surface pro 6 if the surface pro comes in black the other change is
what's inside of it this has a seventh-generation chip
inside of it and this has an eighth-generation core chip inside of it
though essentially everything else again remains the same same dimensions same
weight down to about the same down to about the ounce now just a quick
microcosm of our review which would encourage you to read on pc WorldCom
this comes in this is a twelve point three inch tablet 27:36 by 1834 again
unchanged the price is 1199 for the tablet as what we this is what we have
this is a core i5 with eight gigabytes of RAM but you'll also have to buy the
type cover it doesn't come bundled again and it ranges from $129.99 to 15999 this
is actually the cheaper type cover this ironically costs you $100 more for the
black configuration if you want the cheapest surface pro six by the Platinum
color which is this color now inside of this is a 1.6 gigahertz Core i5
8250 you inside of this is a seventh generation Core i5 this is actually a
core i7 machine which we'll talk a little bit about later now we're not
going to talk about the surface pro 4 that's an older machine but that has a
6th generation Core chip inside of it basically that is a discontinued product
at this point so we're in that sense we're talking to
the people who already own it but you can't actually buy it let's talk a
little bit about the differences in terms of performance because that is
where the differences lie again functionally the same but what we did in
terms of a review is we always review the products using a suite of standard
benchmarks and there's probably three or four that we want to talk about here
today now the question you want to ask yourself is if I own a surface pro for
doing 100 owners upgrade to a service pro 6 and likewise if I own a surface
pro 17 do I want to upgrade to here's what we need to consider so PC mark home
is sort of a middle-of-the-road benchmark it measures a little like
gaming little web browsing a little bit of video and so forth and what we found
is that for the surface pro 20:17 there's only an 8% increase in
performance if you go up to the 20s if you go up for the surface pro 6 but if
you own a surface pro 4 it's a twenty seven percent boost that's significant
likewise if you go and use the Cinebench benchmark Cinebench is actually a
benchmark that we use for rendering a two-dimensional scenes using the 3d
capabilities of the chip it's probably not something that you're going to use
every day but it's a great test for all the CPUs and all the threads this has a
quad core chip inside of it this has a dual core chip inside of it so you're
gonna see a substantial benefit from going to the service pro 6 in that
regard in fact you're gonna see a 47% boost with this going to the service pro
6 and an 88% boost going from the surface pro 4 so again it's a pretty
much a niche application but if you are involved in doing a lot of rendering
work you probably want to make that upgrade the third benchmark that we
talked about is the 3d mark sky diver benchmark and this measures the 3d
graphics capabilities of the chips now again it's worth mentioning with this we
were given a core i7 product to review this is a core i5 the core i7 came with
an iris plus GPU that's substantially more powerful than the HD 620 that comes
in this now it's worth mentioning that the core i5 model of this also comes
with a d620 but we have to sort of review what
we're given if you're going for talking about graphics which again this is sort
of a key for games obviously you're talking about graphics 40 percent boost
from service Pro 2017 to the surface pro 6 and if you own a surface pro 4 well
it's almost a no-brainer it is an 81 percent boost and this is something
you're gonna want to take advantage of the final thing to think about is
battery life it's a key it's a key metric for a laptop you're obviously
gonna want to consider this when you're buying something like this and here you
don't have as much wiggle room again you've got the same chassis so you're
squishing the same battery in there and the only thing you can really do is make
a few adjustments as far as cooling is concerned and as far as the power
consumption of the individual chips so the battery life difference from this to
this is relatively minor it's about 12% again though with a surface pro 4 you're
getting a substantial upgrade that's 57% probably actually a little bit more
because your battery is gonna degrade over time you see that happening with
your smartphone the same thing happens in a tablet so that is a much more
substantial difference there's one other note to talk about when we're talking
about the differences between the two and that is the fact that this has a
substantial fan noise attached to it it always had this if you get the core i5
model is actually a famous machine might not be a big difference but remember
Microsoft's point this time around is focus and a fan noise is very
distracting it was on that this silent as a grave the core i7 though has that
fan I think what we're concluding on this oh that's actually before we do
talk about that let's talk about a few alternatives so if you own a surface pro
and you don't necessarily want to upgrade to the surface pro 6 what should
you decide upon in addition so we have three that I'd
recommend first of all those lenovo's the mix 521 with 720 and the ThinkPad x1
tablet which is the third year that on the third generation the mix is a great
machine the battery life is bad it's sort of at the bottom of the barrel the
ThinkPad x1 is a terrific machine but it's a little bit more expensive along
with that I also like the HP Spectre devices and the HP Spectre x2 is a bit
more consumer-friendly it's got Bang & Olufsen speakers it's
just a well man you action machine HP and Lenovo are pretty
much tops of the heap at this point along with the service machines the
bottom line is is that the surface pro 2017 and the surface pro 6 are both
solid machines if I was a surface pro 4 on her
I would definitely upgrade to the surface pro 6 if I was a surface pro
2017 owner is spending another thousand dollars for an 8% to 10% increase in
various benchmarks worth it I would probably say not but again it's your
choice the bottom line the surface pro 6 is a solid machine that you should
consider however there are alternatives out there for our full review check out

DID FIND FIVE SEGMENTS OF NATIVE AMERICAN ANCESTRY WITH VERY HIGH
CONFIDENCE WHERE WE BELIEVE THE ERROR RATE IS LESS THAN 1 IN
1000.
>> THE PRESIDENT LIKES TO CALL MY MOM A LIAR.
WHAT DO THE FACTS SAY?
>> THE FACTS SUGGEST THAT YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE A NATIVE
AMERICAN ANCESTOR IN YOUR PEDIGREE.
>> STEPHEN: YOU HEARD THEM RIGHT.
THIS TEST ACCURATELY REVEALS WITH A HIGH CONFIDENCE... THAT
ELIZABETH WARREN IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.
( CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ) THAT, WE KNOW.
>> Jon: ALLEGEDLY.
>> Stephen: CAME BACK POSITIVE.
STILL, THAT D.N.A. TEST VIDEO IS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE.
THE ONLY WAY IT COULD HAVE BEEN MORE DRAMATIC IS IF IT WERE AN
EPISODE OF "MAURY."
>> I'M GOING TO END THIS RIGHT NOW.
( CHEERING ) YOU ARE THE FATHER!
>> WHAT!
>> Stephen: YEAH, HE DIDN'T KNOW.
THAT'S WHEN HE FOUND OUT.
WELL, AFTER YEARS OF MOCKING ELIZABETH WARREN, CLEARLY THE
PRESIDENT MUST HAVE HAD A LOT TO SAY ABOUT THESE TEST RESULTS.
>> MR. PRESIDENT, WHAT IS YOUR REACTION TO SENATOR ELIZABETH
WARREN RELEASING THE RESULTS OF HER D.N.A. TEST?
>> NO, I HAVE NO-- WHO CARES?
>> STEPHEN: YOU CARE!
YOU'RE LITERALLY THE ONLY PERSON WHO CARES!
( LAUGHTER ) IN FACT, HE CARED SO MUCH, HE
ONCE OFFERED A MILLION DOLLARS TO CHARITY IF SENATOR WARREN
PROVED SHE WAS PART NATIVE AMERICAN.
A FACT THE REPORTERS REMINDED HIM OF TODAY.
>> MR. PRESIDENT, YOU SAID YOU'D PAY ONE MILLION DOLLARS TO THE
CHARITY THAT-- >> I DIDN'T SAY THAT.
I THINK YOU BETTER READ IT AGAIN.
>> STEPHEN: OH, WE DON'T HAVE TO READ IT.
( LAUGHTER ) LUCKILY ENOUGH --
( CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ) >> Jon: HEY!
>> Stephen: LUCKILY ENOUGH, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE SOMEONE READ
IT FOR US.
>> LET'S SAY I'M DEBATING POCAHONTAS, RIGHT?
I PROMISE YOU I'LL DO THIS.
I WILL TAKE-- YOU KNOW THOSE LITTLE KITS THEY SELL ON
TELEVISION FOR $2.
LEARN YOUR HERITAGE.
WE WILL TAKE THAT LITTLE KIT AND SAY, BUT WE HAVE TO DO IT
GENTLY.
BECAUSE WE'RE IN THE #METOO GENERATION SO I HAVE TO BE VERY
GENTLE.
( AUDIENCE REACTS ) >> Stephen: OKAY.
I'M GOING TO STOP RIGHT THERE TO POINT OUT THAT TRUMP JUST WENT
OUT OF HIS WAY TO STUFF A #METOO JOKE INTO THE MIDDLE OF HIS
RACIST TIRADE.
IT'S LIKE HE'S MAKING A TURDUCKEN THAT'S JUST ALL TURD.
( LAUGHTER ) >> Jon: OH!
( CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ) >> Stephen: I'M SORRY, SIR.
YOU WERE BEING AWFUL?
>> I WILL GIVE YOU A MILLION DOLLARS TO YOUR FAVORITE
CHARITY, PAID FOR BY TRUMP, IF YOU TAKE THE TEST SO THAT IT
SHOWS YOU'RE AN INDIAN.
YOU KNOW.
( CHEERING ) AND LET'S SEE WHAT SHE DOES.
RIGHT?
I HAVE A FEELING SHE WILL SAY NO.
>> STEPHEN: WELL, MISTER PRESIDENT, SHE SAID "YES."
BUT RUMOR HAS IT THAT YOU DON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.
( AUDIENCE REACTS ) >> Jon: WOW...
>> Stephen: RUMORS.
JUST RUMORS.
WHEN CONFRONTED ABOUT HIS MILLION DOLLAR OFFER THIS
AFTERNOON, HE CHICKENED OUT.
>> IF SHE GETS THE NOMINATION IN A DEBATE WHERE I WAS GOING TO
HAVE HER TESTED.
I WILL ONLY DO IT IF I CAN TEST HER PERSONALLY.
OKAY?
THAT WILL NOT BE SOMETHING THAT I ENJOY DOING, EITHER.
>> STEPHEN: WELL, WE DON'T HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE PRESIDENT'S
D.N.A.
HE IS 100% DOUCHE.
WE'LL BE RIGHT BACK WITH MELISSA MCCARTHY.

Let's Learn English at the Shopping Mall | English Video with Subtitles - Duration: 7:08.
Hi! Bob the Canadian here. Let's learn English….
Well that's not very nice!
Let's learn English at the shopping mall. Hey welcome to this video. If this is your
first time here don't forget to click the subscribe button below. And if you don't
mind at some point during this video give me a thumbs up. Let's head into the mall.
So one of the first things I like to look for when I walk into the entrance of a mall
is the map and the list of stores. If you look down here it will list all of the stores
that are in the mall, and you can find the particular store that you're looking for
with it's number. So for instance if I wanted to go to Shoppers Drug Mart. It's store
number 8. I can then look at the map and find store number 8. There should also be a "You
Are Here." type of thing. Why can't I find it? Oh it's over here. It's a little
hard for me sometimes to think quickly. But, "You are Here" so I know that I came in
this entranceway and I'm standing right here right now.
So I should say though that often I'll just refer to the shopping mall as a mall. In English
we often have short forms for different words. We don't often actually say the word, "shopping
mall". We usually just say mall. I'm going to the mall. I'm going to get some things
at the mall.
And there's a couple different kinds of stores at the mall. If you look behind me
there's a traditional type of store, but if you look right here there's something
that we would call a "kiosk". This particular kiosk looks like it sells cell phones.
Probably the store that you'll find the most often at the mall is a clothing store.
I think in this mall almost probably ¾ of the stores are actually clothing stores.
Other types of stores are things like, behind me over here there's a card store, and over
here there is a game store, a video game store, and if you look way, oh, there's another
clothing store, and if you look way down there, there's a cell phone store. So those are
some of the typical types of stores that you'll find at a mall.
This is where my kids always wanna stop when we're at the mall. But I always say no.
Am I a mean dad? And they always wanna stop here too and I say no again.
So behind me here you'll see a shoe store. There's usually two or three shoe stores
in a mall. I don't buy shoes very often so it's not a store that I go into a lot.
But let's walk for a bit and I'll show you what my favourite store is.
So behind me is my favourite store, which a bookstore. I love to read books. I think
maybe we should go inside and see if they have a good book to help people learn English.
I don't know if they do, but I'm just gonna walk in and ask them, so let's go.
Just gonna walk to the back and see if there's a book section for learning English. If not
I'll have to ask someone to help me. Don't really see anything like that. Nope. I don't
see any books to help learn English.
Do you have any books to help people learn English and what section would they be in?
These three books here are the books that they have to help you learn English. There's
only one book that I think I would recommend is the DK series of books for learning English
is really good. I think I might actually go and buy this one just to kind of check it
out.
Pretty much every mall will have a food court with a seating area, and a food court if I
just give you a bit of a spin will have all kinds of different restaurants. They're
usually fast food restaurants where you can get food quickly, but they're usually located
somewhere in the centre of the mall and we call it a food court.
So behind me is my second favorite kind of store. This is an electronics store and you
can buy televisions. You can buy cameras. You can buy radios. You can buy all the stuff
you'd like that's electronic. I really really like that store.
So the other thing that's very common to find in a mall is a hair salon. So behind
me there's a hair salon. It's a place where you can go to get your haircut, to get
your hair done. And I don't go to this particular hair salon, I go to a smaller one that costs
less money, but yeah, behind me at the mall you can get your haircut while you're doing
some shopping.
Some malls in Canada at least actually have movie theatres right in the mall. So sometimes
my wife and I will come and do some shopping and when we're done shopping we'll go
and we'll see a move while we're at the mall. Not every mall in Canada has a movie
theatre but some malls have movie theatres built right in where you can go and see a
movie.
It's almost Halloween in Canada which is at the end of October and that's why they
have all costumes out here. On Halloween kids dress up and they go to the neighbours houses
and they say, "Trick or Treat!" to get candy and chocolate. So that's why today
at the mall you'll see a lot of stores selling different types of costumes.
So this store behind me sells shoes and other athletic gear. If you needed shoes for soccer
or volleyball or a new pair of shorts I'm not sure what sport you play, this would be
the store you would come to. This is actually the store where I bought my shoes that I'm
wearing right now.
So a lot of times a mall will have a jewelry store where you can buy rings, necklaces,
and bracelets. I'm kind of lucky because Jen the Canadian, my wife, doesn't actually
wear a lot of jewelry so I don't spend a lot of money at the jewelry store.
What's kind of cool about this mall is it actually has a library, a public library built
in. And next week's video I'm actually gonna do a "Learn English Video" at the
library. Not this library, but if you notice because we live in Canada we have Bibliothèque
Publique and then down here you'll see that it says, "Public Library" because Canada
is a bilingual country. So we sometimes at a mall will have a public library where you
can go and sign out a book.
When you're at the mall a lot of times you need some money and even though you can pay
in most stores with a credit card or a debit card usually most malls will have one or two
banks that have bank machines where you can go to take out some money. In English we call
it money or cash. So you can usually find a bank machine where you can take out some
money and then you can use that money to make your purchases at the mall.
Well I'm home now, my wallet's empty. That's what happens when I go to the shopping
mall, or to the mall. I hope you enjoyed this video. Give me a thumbs up if this video was
helpful for you. Subscribe if you haven't subscribed yet and please do share this video.
I'm pretty sure next week we're going to the library, but we'll have to wait and
see because I might do a video where we go to the forest because in Canada all of the
leaves are starting to turn colour, all of the leaves on the trees. Anyways, thanks for
watching, have a good week.

FabScraps Technique Tuesday Use Your Scraps Bits & Pieces - Duration: 12:23.
Hi I'm Gerry from Gerry's Craft Room In this video I'm going use up some more
of my FabScraps paper scraps I have cut a piece of patterned paper and
I'm distressing the edges
I am tearing some V-shapes and also distress the sides of the V
I am cutting parts to put behind the V's and I choose some coloured parts
the pink and green will look nice
and I glue the paper to the back
by the way I added the products I used in the description box for you and
if you are new here don't forget to subscribe
I'm going to use Lindy's spray Hottie Patottie Hot Pink
I cut a frame out of chipboard and gave that a coat of gesso
I spray the frame with a bit more in the left
top and right bottom I dry with a heat tool
I add some more spray to get a real bright colour in the 2 corners
I am going to add black embossing powder I apply some gel gloss with a brush
and now I sprinkle on the embossing powder and then I heat set it
the result after heat setting I am going to add a piece of patterned paper
behind the frame I cut to fit behind the opening
I have fussy cut some more parts that I want to use and I cut some parts of tags
even if you have smaller bits of paper you can still use them to cut tags
or other shapes that you can use to tuck away behind other elements
I am inking and distressing the parts so they are all in the same style
I tape 2 tags together in a playful way
and now I'm going to assemble the card
I'm adding some drops with the tube of the spray bottle
I am colouring the parts with some of the
spray on a sponge to bring the parts together
Shaping the flower with the ball tool and adding some foam tape on the back
an easy way to get a 3D effect and make the part stand out from the background
I also shape the wings of the butterfly
I have foam on the back of the frame I put it in place
but don't press it to the card yet
and I have foam tape on the back of the big tags
finishing up with the last elements
and adding a bit of the pink along the edges
you see what a difference a little bit of colour can make
I hope you liked the video don't forget to like, share and subscribe
and I'll see you in the next video
thanks for watching

5 Questions for Cathrine Dufour - Duration: 4:40.
In relation to keeping my horses in best possible shape, there are a lot of different aspects of this
The management of a horse, is of course number one: to train them
They need quality in the training
not being pushed too hard, but they still need sufficient training to make sure that they learn new tricks
That is the top priority.
When you train your horses well, then it usually pays off at competitions
Then there are a lot of layers underneath that
It's about planning how to train; not too much, not too little
and developing the correct strategy when your horse needs to learn a new trick
Having the time to learn that and also to give the horse a break.
The next layer is the team around you;
do you need a vet, a smith, how is the timing with massages, chiropractor, and getting the right equipment
I think the training in itself is the top layer of the cake
but it's the whole team and the planning that goes on in the background
that ensures the success at competitions.
When I'm planning the training of the horses, I make sure that they only train 1-2 days in a row
That means if I need to do a lot of exercises and train programmes, a bit more specific training
then I will do that on eg. Monday and Tuesday and then the horse will have an easy day on Wednesday
So I'll never do a hard training session for more than two days in a row
Because it's hard for the horse to take it all in
it needs to learn new things, but it needs its body to respond too.
I think my eyes have opened up a bit since I started training fitness myself
After a hard training session, your legs can be really really sore, or other muscles can be aching.
So I'm really taking that into consideration with my horses too
If we've been training something new, or something hard,
then they'll get a break afterwards to allow their body to recover before I start working them harder again
In relation to my team, I see them as just important as Cassidy or myself
It's very much about my trainer, mum and dad, groom or the other important people around me.
I think that the motivation comes from communicating with each other
I don't necessarily think that it needs to be about something concrete
but more that you keep the communication open, make a plan, create goals
because just as I need a goal in order to train well leading up to a tournament
my smith, mum and dad, my trainer, groom, girlfriend, whatever... family and friends
also need to know where we're going, why am I training so much?
As soon as you create some targets or goals, then it's much easier to motivate the whole team
And of course it's also about having a nice time together
talk in the riding arena, joke around, have fun and also just relax sometimes
And maybe also seeing each other outside of the horse environment
because it's very intense when you're away with the horse and when we're training a lot
and having a busy everyday life
So it's important to see each other outside of the sport
and then creating some goals so there's something to work towards
When speaking of the biggest experience I have had in my work
then it is simply to ride and of course the tournaments
I have been really lucky to experience some super cool moments
The first thing that comes to mind
is the European Championship medal last year in Sweden with Cassidy - that was pretty wild!
The silver team medal was insane because of the unique team spirit and feeling
and the team we were there with was just a lot of fun!
We had the new national team coach there, who is someone I really support -
Nathalie is amazing I think, and also our old team leader Kimmie.
The whole team made it a stand out experience for me
Of course the Olympics was also huge!
That's a bit further back in time now, but it's definitely a tick on the list.
Buuut, the European Championship last year was a lot of fun!
In relation to how I make time for "spare time"
I have become a lot better these past couple of years
I have made more time throughout the competition periods
Previously I didn't really have such a thing as spare time
At the time, I was working or at school pretty much 24/7
But after the Olympics, I have become more calm and I understand now that I need time off as well
I also need to see my family, girlfriend and to relax and hang out outside the sport.
The only thing that kept me going previously were my friends
who would drag me into town and drink an Aperol or do something completely different than looking at horses
So it's important to make time for other things, but you need to have the energy to actually make time for it
That is what I had a difficult time with back then
as I felt that it would disturb my training which made me think:
"no, then I won't be able to perform as well tomorrow"
But I've found that almost train even better
because I get a break to see some "non-horse" people and completely disconnect
It's all about prioritising that spare time.
My biggest goal…
Well, I want to win Olympic gold. Definitely.
I'm dreaming about becoming number one on the FEI world ranking list
winning Olympic gold but also the World Championship and the European Championship
Right now I still feel that I'm quite new in the game
but my dreams a huge and why shouldn't it be possible to win one day?
I'm super ready to work for it day in and day out
and of course I need to find the right horses, but the dream is to win the Olympics!

Gareth Southgate 'extremely proud' after memorable England win 3-2 in Spain - Duration: 5:02.
Gareth Southgate was proud of his players' display of courage, bravery and quality as England stunned Spain in a Nations League victory that will live long in the memory
Raheem Sterling ended his 1,102-day wait for an international goal in style in Seville, where he opened the scoring before netting again once Marcus Rashford had fired home
It was a breathtaking first half that brought back memories of the 5-1 shellacking of Germany in 2001, but Spain rallied and piled on the pressure after the break as substitute Paco Alcacer pulled one back
Sergio Ramos grabbed another in stoppage time, but England had done enough for to secure a 3-2 victory that underlines the progress being made by the World Cup semi-finalists
"I'm just extremely proud of the performance the players have given because the played with huge courage," Southgate said
"We knew that to come here and just defend for 90 minutes, you're unlikely to get a result, so we needed to be brave with the ball
"We talked about the threat that our front three have and that they need to believe in themselves, but also we then have to get the ball to them
"We knew today, the way that Spain press, you have to get the first couple of passes out of that press spot on
"At times, we ran the risk of losing the ball near our goal, but when we got out of that press we were a huge threat in counter attack
"So, the quality of the play and the bravery of the players was thing that pleased me most
" This was the first time ever that Spain had conceded three goals in a competitive home match, with the Three Lions running amok during a magnificent first half
Southgate was proud of the way that Rashford, Harry Kane and Sterling led from the front, with the latter grabbing the most attention after ending his goal drought so impressively
"It's not for me to take any credit," the England boss said of Sterling."I think the only thing we did say was when he scores he'll probably score again – and he managed to do that pretty quickly
"I'm delighted for him because I don't think he ever lacked confidence, but I said last night sometimes you get chances and you're thinking too much
"I think tonight he just took the chances and was prepared to hit things early."But also, his general game was good
He took up some really dangerous pockets of play and got turned and running at the defence
"We had to do more than of our share and being compact without the ball was going to be critical
" England had to dig deep to win their first match in Spain since February 1987 and alleviate the threat of relegation from the Nations League's top tier
Jordan Pickford was often in the spotlight in the Group A4 encounter at Real Betis' Estadio Benito Villamarin, where he played a key role in the Three Lions' opening two goals before almost gifting Spain a way back through his overconfidence
"We've tried to talk to him about having an extra touch because at times when you do that the game opens up for you as a goalkeeper and some of those options become more apparent," Southgate said of the England goalkeeper
"So I thought in the two matches he's had this week, he's shown real composure to do that, find passes into midfielders
"He has got the technical ability to do it."He maybe hasn't got the technical ability to do a Cruyff (turn) in his own six-yard box, but that's something he'll have to work on at Everton not with us probably
" Spain were close to snatching a late point, but their dreadful first-half display gave them too much of a mountain to climb
"The first half, atrocious, it has to be recognised," head coach Luis Enrique said after his first loss
"We arrived late pressing, the first goal killed us.We made so many individual errors
"With 2-0, sitting back and coming out on the break, they are dangerous.A group with two World Cup semi-finalists is not easy
"Now we continue to depend on ourselves, we have to go to Croatia and win (to win the group)

Faith Inspired by Saint Oscar Romero - Duration: 2:45.

- [Crowd] Romero, Romero.
Romero transformed my faith in a very beautiful way.
Understanding that faith is not only in the church
but also outside with the people
and preaching for justice and peace.
He's one of my role models.
- [Crowd] Romero, Romero.
Romero, Romero.

So this frame of Romero validated
me being here in my new role.
My first day here, it was a gift from one of my colleagues.
And everywhere I go, whenever Romero shows up,
I know I'm meant to be there.
This is very special to me, it's a relic of Romero.
It's a piece of his alb when he preached.
The two largest massacres that happened during the Civil
War in El Salvador were in Rio Sumpul and El Mozote.
That was a powerful experience, and that I had
to translate a very powerful testimony from
the daughter of the only survivor of this massacre.
(soft dramatic music)
In my heart, Romero has been a saint,
you know, from the moment I learned about him.
But now it's gonna be official.
Everywhere I go, I feel God all around me.
Spirituality happens everywhere,
and through everyone.
And I see the face of Christ in everyone,
in all walks of life.
And that's something that Romero has taught me.
I mean, Romero's gonna be around through 50,000 people
here at the canonization who share similar testimonies
of how Romero has transformed their lives.
You could be that change.
You could be that seed that is planted
in the lives of others and really make an impact.
(upbeat music)
