The Los Angeles Kings' impossible comeback against Gretzky's Edmonton Oilers deserves a deep rewind - Duration: 10:29.

(pulsating music)

- [Narrator] We're in Los Angeles, California.

It's April 10th, 1982, game three

of the Smythe Divisional Semi-Finals

between the Kings and the Oilers.

The teams are tied at five and we're in overtime

with a face-off in the Oiler zone.

You might know what's about to happen

but none of these guys do.

They've battled for over three periods

and just 20 minutes earlier, wouldn't have believed

they'd need overtime to decide this.

For everything that got us to this moment

and made tonight a once in a lifetime game, let's rewind.

Tonight marked the 11th time in 83 games this season

that the Oilers and Kings faced one another.

That's over an eighth of their games

against the same opponent and prior to the 81-82 season,

they'd only met eight times total.

This was partly due to Edmonton joining the NHL just

three years earlier but it was also thanks to

some big changes implemented by the league for this season.

Looking to promote rivalries within divisions,

they made the bulk of each teams schedule inter-divisional

games. In an effort to save money on travel expenses, the

NHL also shook up the divisions so

they were more geographically defined.

Instead of being grouped with Detroit, Pittsburgh, Hartford,

and Montreal, the Kings shifted to the Smythe,

with Calgary, Vancouver, Colorado, and Edmonton.

For L.A., having to face the Oilers

with more regularity could've come at a better time.

Edmonton began their life in the NHL

with 28 and 29-win seasons, before

becoming a force in year three.

In the 81-82 season, they finished second

in the league standings, behind the

two-time defending champion, Islanders.

Edmonton won the Smythe by 34 points and the biggest reason

for their success was this guy.

Wayne Gretzky had a season that

those following the sport had never seen before.

He became the fastest player ever to score 50 goals

in a season, breaking "Rocket" Richard

and Mike Bossy's record by 11 games.

He went on to score a new NHL record, 92 goals

and also broke his own records for assists and total points.

Gretzky wasn't the only one though. The Oilers became the

first team ever to score 400 goals in a season, finishing

with 417, which was 71 more than the next highest scorer

in the conference.

They were built on speed and had the youth

to keep it up for an entire year.

Gretzky, Mark Messier, Paul Coffey, Glenn Anderson,

Jari Kurri, all of these guys were still

under 21 by the end of the season.

And now in overtime, Edmonton's hoping

their kids can reignite the offensive spark

that they opened the game with.

Back in the first period everything had gone right

for the Oilers, the game had opened up as a race

between the teams, which played perfectly

into the hand of Edmonton.

The Oilers scored first on a quick counter

where Glenn Anderson found Messier cross-ice

and the center put it in from 40 feet out.

This is what they'd done all season, using their speed

in the open ice to let passing dictate the offense.

Most defenses at the time mainly paid attention

to just the guy with the puck.

You stop him and you stop the offense.

The Oilers though played with an emphasis

on passing and off-puck skating, a style

that was more common in Europe than North America.

And while their speed and stretch passes also led

to turnovers, when the offense averaged

over five goals per game, they could deal

with some slip-ups.

Later in the first period, Gretzky added

to the lead by doing, well, what he does.

That short-handed goal put the Oilers up two-nothing

at intermission and 43 seconds into the second,

Edmonton netted another goal during that same penalty kill.

From there, tempers started to flare,

19 penalties were called in the second period,

which included six coincidental minors, another area

that the Oilers had been capitalizing on all season.

With players sitting from both sides, their style

of offense put them at an advantage, since fewer bodies

on the ice meant more space to go to work.

This was on display just over five minutes

into the second, when Gretzky stole the puck

behind the Kings net during a three on three.

The defense turned his way giving Siltanen room

to bury a one timer that actually went through the net

causing play a continue, until the ref signaled goal,

Edmonton's fourth. A few minutes later, Gretzky nabbed

his second of the night and the teams headed

into the third separated by five goals.

Not a great start for L.A. and honestly,

this is what people expected from the series.

A year after a 43 win season where

they made the playoffs as the fourth seed.

The Kings disappointed in 81-82.

They won just 24 games and only reached the post season

thanks to the NHL's new penchant for divisional match-ups,

which they also built the playoffs around.

With a roster nearly identical to the year before, the

big change for the King's came in the coaching department.

Bob Berry, who had coached L.A. since '78, left

for Montreal and the club promoted assistant coach,

Parker MacDonald, to take his spot.

MacDonald had a checkered coaching past.

He won AHL Coach of the Year, with L.A.'s affiliated team

in New Haven, but was yet to coach a full season

in the pros.

That wouldn't change this year, as he led the King's

to a record of 13-24-and-5.

After that, the organization changed his title

to assistant GM and brought in Don Perry as his successor.

Another coach from the New Haven Nighthawks.

In Perry's first month on the job,

he'd receive a six game suspension

for ordering Paul Mulvey to leave the bench

to join a brawl.

Despite the turmoil surrounding the team, the

Kings would slightly improve their winning

percentage under Perry, but if their regular season series

with the Oilers was any indication, their time

in the playoffs would be short.

That season, L.A. won one of eight games against Edmonton

and forced two ties while being outscored 51 to 27.

This included back to back losses to the Oilers

at the end of the season, which added

to a five game skid going into the post season

for the Kings, all while Edmonton was unbeaten

in their last nine.

But streaks can come to an end and the Kings quickly proved

they weren't going to bend over to Gretzky

and company through the first two games.

After being down four-one just nine minutes

into the series, the Kings rallied back

in an offensive back and forth that broke the record

for most goals in an NHL playoff game.

L.A. pulled off the upset in Edmonton,

after winning just five games on the road, all season.

Their unexpected points leader, rookie Daryl Evans,

scored twice in the second and added a pair of assists.

Playing in just his 14th professional game,

Those second period goals matched his season total

and he carried the momentum into game two

where he netted his third of the playoffs.

The Kings took the Oilers to overtime

and despite Gretzky giving Edmonton a three-two win,

L.A. had already done more than was expected of them.

They headed to the forum for games three and four,

where no one would have guessed they'd have a chance

to take the series in front of their home crowd.

But that would require winning tonight

and winning tonight would require a miraculous effort

by L.A.

Back to the start of the third and the Kings still faced

that five nothing hole.

A hard check by Dave Lumley in the corner got

everyone fired up and following a minor scrum,

each team was down to four skaters.

This time though, L.A. would be the team

to capitalize on the extra ice.

With Jay Wells sending in the Kings first of the night.

Less than four minutes later, L.A. found themselves

with their ninth power-play of the game.

And they finally ended one early, thanks

to Doug Smith putting in a rebound just

under the crossbar.

With their lead trimmed to three, the Oilers offense tried

to heat back up, but when their chances weren't snuffed

out by the Kings, the goalpost made the stops.

Gretzky would take a stick to the face, skaters paired

up and it looked like momentum was done swinging

in L.A.'s favor, as the Kings gifted the Oilers a

five on three advantage.

But the Oilers offense was stymied just long enough

and with under five and 1/2 remaining, the Kings made

their final push.

It started with a steal in the Oilers end, which led

to Charlie Simmer sneaking one in from behind the net.

Less than a minute later, the Kings broke out off

a Gretzky turnover and Steve Bozek hit a wrister

for L.A.'s second four on four goal for the game.

With under a minute to play, now down one,

an Oilers penalty plus an empty net gave the

Kings a two-man advantage.

The final 15 seconds had both teams scrambling

in the Oilers end before the puck reached Hardy

at the point.

- [Sports Announcer] In front, to the blue line,

to Hardy, he shoots, save, rebound, score!

(crowd roaring)

I see it and I still don't believe it.

- [Narrator] With five seconds left, Bozek put

in the rebound and after one last face-off, the teams

headed to overtime.

In extra time though, it once again looked

like the Kings magic had run out, 20 seconds

in and Lessard's attempt to corral a shot, sent

him sprawling.

The puck found Messier, who got a chance

at an untended net, but he sailed it wide.

After some back and forth play, the Kings were able

to establish possession and Doug Smith threw

in a shot that Fuhr grabbed and hung on to.

Which brings us to this face-off

and despite all the scoring that's happened tonight, one

of the Kings on the ice is still looking to make his mark.

In the 1980 NHL entry draft, the Kings took Daryl Evans

in the second to last round at 178 overall.

Evans spent most of 81-82 with the Kings AHL affiliate

in New Haven, before getting called up

for the final month of the regular season

and his first games in the majors.

He made just over a dozen appearances,

but went mostly unnoticed before this series began.

Just a few months removed from newspapers misspelling

his name, Evans was looking to give them reason

to get it right, but so far tonight, he was yet

to show up in the score summary.

And as the forum waits for the face-off,

no one knows what'll come next in

this already miraculous comeback.

The Kings have battled back just to get here,

while the Oilers had to scramble to regain

their composure and now hope to put an end

to this improbable night.

All the names you'd expect have been involved

and have given brilliant performances,

while an unheralded rookie waits in the wings, looking

to cement his spot in the pros.

Unknown to them, it would all come down

to this final drop of the puck.

Welcome to a moment in history.

- [Sports Announcer] On the draw, shot by Evans, it's good!

Oh! (crowd roaring)

Celebrity Scandals Everyone Pretends Never Happened - Duration: 4:39.

Hollywood is notoriously unforgiving: luckily for celebs, though, actual fans aren't nearly

as fickle.

These once-disgraced stars had some pretty big scandals, but for some reason or another,

everyone pretends they never happened.

America's sweetheart, Reese Witherspoon doesn't appear to have a disorderly bone in her body.

Yet, here we are.

"It's one of those nights, you know.

We went out to dinner in Atlanta.

And we had one too many glasses of wine.

We thought we were fine to drive, and we absolutely were not."

Witherspoon was arrested for disorderly conduct in 2013 after her husband, Jim Toth, was pulled

over and arrested for driving under the influence.

To make matters worse, our fair lady of Sweet Home Alabama pulled the "Do you know who I

am?"

card, a move favored by child stars who've gone off-the-rails.

Witherspoon was arrested on a Friday, and by that Sunday night, the Wild star had released

a heartfelt apology, stating:

"I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said.

It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is

no excuse… I'm very sorry for my behavior."

Over the last couple years, we've managed to completely wipe Matthew McConaughey's naked

bongo incident from our brains.

Unfortunately, that doesn't mean it never happened.

"Alright, alright, alright."

In 1999, everybody's favorite Lincoln spokesperson was busted on suspicion of marijuana possession.

According to the infamous police report, he was dancing around naked playing bongo drums

while another man cheered.

The charges were dropped, and McConaughey nonchalantly described his visit to the slammer

as somewhere he wouldn't want to "rent a place" but "it was a nice stay for a night."

Chris Brown is known for some pretty abhorrent things.

So, amidst all the headlines, it's easy to forget that he also had a day-long standoff

with a SWAT team in 2016.

"Police just arrested singer Chris Brown after a day-long standoff at his Tarzana mansion."

The incident began when Brown allegedly pulled a gun on a woman.

She attempted to flee, so Brown reportedly followed her in a Jeep, but she escaped into

a neighbor's yard and hid under an SUV.

The neighbor called the police.

Brown reportedly refused to let law enforcement in his home without a warrant, so police set

up camp outside, as Brown embarked on a bizarre police standoff-slash-Instagram rant as helicopters

circled overhead.

"Come on my n-----, what the f--- else do you want from me, bro?"

Brown was eventually arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon.

All that, and yet fans seem to wear blinders when it comes to Brown's behavior.

Case in point: In May 2018, Spotify removed numerous abusers from its official playlists,

yet Brown's catalog remained inexplicably untouched.

In the #MeToo era, it's kinda shocking that everyone seems to ignore the 1989 sex tape

Rob Lowe shot with an underage girl.

According to Yahoo, the St. Elmo's Fire alum was in his early 20s when he picked up two

women at a nightclub.

The girls agreed to be videotaped, and Lowe filmed their enthusiastic romp.

The video was circulated around the world, which wouldn't necessarily have been a huge

deal had one of the participants not been 16 years old.

Lowe believed the girl was at least 21 because he'd picked her up at a club where he'd been

carded.

"The problem is: People don't know the facts of the case.

They don't know it's a bar where I get carded going in.

So, why wouldn't I assume everybody else is 21?"

Unfortunately, after the video surfaced, he was slapped with a lawsuit by the teen's mother,

and his scandal was plastered across tabloids.

He received a mere 20 hours of community service for taping the encounter with a partner under

18, and his career barely suffered.

The following year, Lorne Michaels let Lowe host SNL, and everything was more or less

forgotten.

Before he became Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor, or Santa Claus, Tim Allen served a 28-month

sentence for trafficking cocaine, and it could have been a whole lot worse.

According to Defamer, Allen was nabbed by undercover state troopers at the Kalamazoo

airport after selling one and a half pounds of cocaine for a whopping $42,000.

He ended up taking a plea deal in exchange for information.

As a result, the most serious charges were dropped, saving him from a mandatory life

sentence.

After the experience, Allen swiftly turned his life around.

He went from jail time to Tool Time, and today most of us either don't know about his sordid

past or pretend the whole thing never happened.

What a tool, man.

Bruno Mars has hit every possible career milestone a musician could hit.

As much as we'd like to forget, there was once a time when the young pop star almost

uptown funk-ed up his career with a felony cocaine charge.

In 2010, Mars was arrested in the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel after he was nabbed with 2.6

grams of what E! News describes as a "white powdery substance believed to be cocaine."

Shocker: it was, in fact, cocaine.

E! News reports that he was charged with felony cocaine possession, but that was dismissed

after he performed 200 hours of community service, paid a $2,000 fine, and underwent

eight hours of drug counseling.

🔶 Is this the ULTIMATE remote beach camping setup? ► All 4 Adventure: Unleashed TV - Duration: 5:32.

With the sun slowly setting, it's time to find a nice spot on the coast and setup camp

for the night.

We've got a gorgeous sunset happening.

We've found a beautiful little beach and now we're going to setup our swags on this

beach, above the high tide mark.

You just pick a spot to put your swag on, you want to level it out, get a good nights

sleep so you want a nice level pad.

There's a bit of mucking around, you trim it all up, and that's the spot I'm putting

my swag!

Perfect!

And then it's time to light a fire and cook our barra.

What's for dinner?

Ahh, would you like some barramundi sir?

What else is there?

Ummm, we've got some barramundi!

Barramundi?

Ah yeah well I reckon barramundi will be just fine.

Alright, too easy!

What's for dessert?

Barramundi ice-cream!

Without the ice.

And the cream.

Now to cook up a barramundi like this for dinner, you're really gunna need to get

some coals going.

So, first thing I've gotta do is try to start a fire.

Alright, I'll try this, this might do the job.

See how we go.

I have got a lighter in my bag, if all else fails.

So I pulled out of my repertoire, a little flint that I had sitting around.

You didn't bring a cold beer but you brought 50 thousand different ways to light a fire

with ya.

Can't cook barramundi with cold beer!

Alright, here we go.

Yep, we've got something going on here.

We've got smoke.

Flame!

It's a go-er!

Nice work.

We got a go-er!

So there's no shortage of wood on this beach, and it doesn't take long to get a decent

fire going because we're gunna have to pack all that down for the coals.

Buildin us a bonfire!

There is nothing better than setting your swag up and making a fire and sitting on a

beach as the suns going down in Arnhem Land.

Now the best thing about cooking on the beach is you can cook the fish whole on the coal.

With a bed of coals going, you can just throw the fish on.

It's almost like natures alfoil, and that's the skin with the scales on it without out

piercing the fish, it bakes in its own juices.

Alright lets get us much as we can on it.

Gunna need a longer stick!

Can hear em sizzling!

She's sizzling alright!

Get as much coverage as we can.

That's it, that's perfect!

By the time the fish are ready, the suns gone down, we're now on torch light.

Alright, coming over.

This bloody Barra is heavy.

We pull it off the coals, put it on a bed of leaves.

Look at that!

That is hot hey!

Peel back the skin, beautiful white flesh, cooked to perfection.

Look at that, it's like alfoil isn't it.

Doesn't get any better than this.

Here ya go, what's it like?

All time!

Is it cooked properly?

Ah be cooked a bit more down deep.

Down deep?

Down deep - it's a big fish.

It is a big fish.

Bit of salt.

Nice and juicy, a bit of salt and pepper, what more could a bloke want!

Absolutely beautiful.

How good is it to come out to a place like this mate, catch your own food and you know,

basically this Barra was swimming and now we're eating it on the beach in the middle

of Arnhem Land.

It'll be one of those nights that you don't forget.

I'm going to ruin mine and put some baked beans with it.

Baked Beans!

Caution: eating barramundi with baked beans is not endorsed or approved by the producers

of Unleashed.

Or their taste buds.

It is good.

Damn.

(We'll meet our first guest shortly.)

Before we meet her,

there are more people to join us here in Busan.

They are Minhyun and Sangyeol!

Welcome!

Wanna One!

Ji Sangyeol.

- Hello. / - You look great.

- It's nice to meet you. / - Welcome.

Hi, Minhyun. Please come here.

- Hello. / - I haven't seen Minhyun in a while.

This is my fourth time on Happy Together.

Wanna One members came on the show a few times.

- That's right. / - Right.

We have a close tie too.

This is Minhyun's debut as an MC.

When I was on this show as a guest,

you guided and helped me so much.

So I felt very comfortable.

But today, I'm here as an MC.

Although it's not as a regular MC, being special MC

makes this experience more special.

You're doing well. You don't seem nervous.

This is Minhyun's fourth time on this show.

We counted how many times Sangyeol was on the show.

- This is your 13th time. / - Really?

- Yes. / - He's like your family.

- Exactly. / - That's right.

13 is considered an unlucky number

- in Western culture. / - I'm glad we're in Korea.

Right.

- If you think about it... / - Just burn incense here.

- All right? / - Why...

Just send me back home.

- You're overreacting. / - "An unlucky number"?

What I'm saying is that

you're like a minority shareholder

- of Happy Together. / - That's right.

You're like a shareholder.

Even though I'm like a substitute,

but when I'm on the show,

- I can hit a homerun. / - That's right.

If you look at us here together like this,

Minhyun looks

so good looking among us.

- That's right. / - And

around Minhyun, there is a squid...

Squid strips.

- Hold on. / - He's good looking...

You said "squid" without pointing at anyone,

- but he hugged me. / - Hyunmoo is a squid.

Sangyeol is squid strips.

Saeho is dried filefish.

- He's dried filefish. / - Okay.

- Jaeseok is anchovy. / - I'm a spoon worm.

- Are you a spoon worm? / - Yes.

- That suits you. / - Yes.

- Minhyun must be excited. / - I'm sure.

Because I'll meet Jimin for the first time?

No. You're surrounded by a squid,

spoon worm, squid strips...

(You have the reliable seafood friends.)

You're with Busan's best seafood.

- I'm serious. / - Okay.

I wish I could feel how he feels.

Let's ask Minhyun one thing.

- What is it? / - While we're at it,

- which one of us is the ugliest? / - I like that.

Why would we ask him that?

It's just his personal opinion.

Choosing the best looking one is pointless.

- It's pointless. / - Let's decide the king of squids.

- Okay. / - The squid king.

- The squid king. / - Let's find out.

Squid king sounds good.

- The squid king. / - The squid king.

The king of squids.

- It's not like a rating. / - It's okay.

Everyone has his own preferences.

- Of course. / - Don't worry.

- Each of us has charms. / - You're all fabulous.

California Fire Map: Track Fires Near Me Right Now Nov. 13 | Heavy.com

The fires currently raging in California are now among the largest in the state's history.

The Camp Fire is 125,000 acres, the Woolsey Fire is more than 96,000 acres, and new fires are also being reported, including flareups from current fires, due to Red Flag conditions.

Winds and low humidity are helping the fires grow and making containment difficult, so it's important to stay updated on the fires in California today.

Here are the latest updates on all the fires in California as of Tuesday, November 13, with a roundup of maps of the larger fires around the state.  News on the fires is constantly changing, so call your local officials if you are concerned about evacuations near you.

There are currently multiple active fires in California.

This article first includes interactive maps for all of California.

Then the second section details specific fires in the region.

If you're looking for a specific fire scroll down or search for the fire's name or your city's name.

This is a developing story.

Interactive Maps of California Fires.

This map below is an interactive map of the more significant fires in California, consistently updated and provided by CAL FIRE and Google.

Fires in red are active and fires in black are contained.

Read the next section for details about the fires listed on the map.

Depending on your browser, you may need to zoom into this map to see California up close.

If the map doesn't show below, just go here.

Next is another active fire map from Google's Crisis Map.

You may need to zoom in to see areas of interest in California, depending on your browser or mobile device.

This map also includes fires in other states.

Next are more specific details on the fires for November 13.

The details are extensive, so if you are looking for a specific fire, search for the name so you can find it faster, or just scroll down and look at the fires, listed in alphabetical order.

List of Active Fires in California.

Here are the active fires and updates about them, per CAL FIRE.

Most of these are in alphabetical order.

Note that many of these fires are still listed on CAL FIRE's map as active, but they are no longer listed as active by Inciweb or other sources.

We will note that in the fires' descriptions below.

The most active fires right now include the Camp Fire, the Hill Fire, and the Woolsey Fire, plus new fires that are still cropping up on Tuesday, November 13.

Note that many regions are seeing smoke from the fires in California, even if new fires aren't specifically in their region.

Alder, Mountaineer, & Moses Fires.

These fires are 3,502 acres and 55 percent contained as of November 11 at 4:42 p.m.  The Alder fire is 5 miles north of Camp Nelson in Gian Sequoia National Monument.

The Mountaineer fire is .1 mile north of Summit trailhead and .75 miles east of the Alder Fire in Golden Trout Wilderness, according to Inciweb.

The Moses Fire is 1 mile south of Moses Mountain.

An area closure around the fires has been in effect.

The fires were first discovered on October 4, 13, and 17.

These fires are on Inciweb's site but not on CAL FIRE's map.

Brushy Fire.

The Brushy Fire in Mendocino County is near Dos Rios, off Highway 162, east of Highway 101 and west of Covelo, CAL FIRE reported.

It was first reported on November 8.

As of November 9 at 10:03 a.m., it's 35 acres and 50 percent contained.

CAL FIRE has been focusing on other fires and has not updated the details about this one since November 9.

This fire was first spotted at 6:30 a.m.

on November 8, and quickly grew.

Now, as of 7:24 a.m.

on November 13, the fire is 125,000 acres in size and 30 percent contained. That's a small increase in size since yesterday, but also a five percent increase in containment.

At least 15,500 structures are threatened and 6,522 residences and 260 commercial structures have been destroyed from this fire, according to CAL FIRE.

CAL FIRE noted on Tuesday: "Strong northeast winds are expected to continue through Monday morning.

Firefighters worked through the night to hold perimeter lines and provide structure defense in areas where the fire was impacting structures.

Steep rugged terrain in some areas will impede control operations.

Today firefighters will continue to fight the fire aggressively, provide structure defense and strategically be prepositioned in the case of any wind shifts.".

There is an interactive map of Camp Fire evacuations and repopulations, provided by CAL FIRE.

Power On Turning Stalls - MzeroA Flight Training - Duration: 6:17.

[Music]

Hey Everyone, Jason Schappert, here

of MzeroA.com, clearing turns are done,

everything is all set, and before I get into the maneuver,

I need to tell you something, I decades ago, had a

fear of stalls, and it was decades ago,

that I was right before my private pilot check ride,

and I flew with another instructor right before my check ride, and he said 'Jason, let's do,

some turning stalls,' I read the PTS

there's turning stalls, what are you talking about? He said 'trust me,

we need to practice some turning stalls,' and sure enough we did turning stalls, my heart raced

it was super intimidating super scary, we're going to work to overcome that fear with you.

the next day I went out and did turning stalls on my private pilot

check ride, and I'm so thankful, and I share that same advice with everyone.

If you're coming up to a check ride, and haven't done turning stalls, I encourage you, with your instructor

to ask your instructor to show you one, and then you to actually do

a turning stall, those of you who can agree with that, who had turning stalls on your check ride,

well, leave a comment below so I know that. I'm going to show you two turning stalls, one

each direction, one will be totally normal, and one I'm going to do something very different to help you overcome

the fear is, I'm just not really going to initiate much of a recovery.

and I'm going to show you, as crazy as that sounds, I'm going to show you how this airplane

will fly itself, this airplane wants

to fly. Clearing turns are done, but I've been talking a bit, so let me just

look one more time, I'm going to look where I'm going as well, which is down,

just a little bit, as scary as that sounds, just looking ahead, everything is good

premaneuver checklist is complete all is well, let's initiate

a power on turning stall, I'm gonna

start by first off, I want to slow plane down, a big mistake people

make is they go from cruise flight, and they just rip this airplane back,

that's a big no-no, we want to make this as realistic as possible, so what are we

simulating? Well, I'm simulating, I just took off, I'm climbing out

too aggressively, and ATC gives me a crazy vector,

you know, turn left immediately, something like that that I need to make

that turn on, so I want to slow down to my rotation speed, and simulate a climbing

like I really would, I can't be cruising at 90 and all of a sudden crank the airplane up

that's going to make for an intimidating stall no doubt, I'm going to use a little bit of trim

to alleviate some back pressure, slowing the airplane down, meanwhile not losing

any altitude, slowing the airplane down, here comes 60 the speed I rotate at,

I'm going to smoothly apply full-power, and if it's too intimidating, you can start with

75 % power at first, I crank the nose up, and ATC says,

23 Mike Zulu, make an immediate turn to the left, I'm going, I'm going, left, left

left, here it comes, drops, it turns right, I step left

nose down, and bring the airplane

back to level here, and remember I have a little bit of trim in there as well.

to alleviate some of that back pressure, not too bad, right? I kept the

airplane co-ordinated. Let's do something else now,

let's go ahead, I'll bring the airplane back to cruise.

Let's go ahead, carb heat on, let's slow the airplane down, notice how the airplane

broke, I was turning left, the airplane broke right.

And that's not going to happen every time, don't think that's an instantaneous reaction

a lot of it, or all of it, comes down to how well,

you are co-ordinated, and what configuration you're co-ordinated, are you kind of slipping

or skidding, is it inside or outside of that turn, slowing the airplane,

down, this time, I'm not going to initiate a whole lot of recovery

as crazy as that sounds, and the only reason I say this

and show this, is I want you to see the airplane wants to fly,

full power, turn to the right this time, up up

up up stall warning horn, here comes the stall, here comes the stall,

and there it goes, let go

my hands aren't on the yoke, what's the airplane doing?

it comes right back to where? Level and then some, I've got to fix

it comes I have that trim in there, how fascinating

is that? You see, we are blessed

in that the training aircraft we fly, want to fly

stalls don't have to be an intimidating process,

the airplane wants to fly, we just have to initiate

the proper recoveries, now granted, I lost a ton of altitude, I'm not saying

that's the solution, please don't do that on a checkride, you need to do

it the first way we did on a check ride, don't just let go on a check ride, that's a

recipe for a failure right there. I show you this to impress

upon you that the airplane wants to fly, stalls don't

have to be intimidating. But please practice some power on,

and power off, turning stalls with your instructor.

Amazon Accounting | Spreadsheets vs A2X | QuickBooks Connect 2018 Follow Up - Duration: 18:42.

hey it's patti scharf CPA and co-founder of catching clouds the leader in

e-commerce accounting and I'm going to interrupt my series on solutions for

e-commerce sellers because last week QuickBooks Connect happened in San Jose

now I didn't go but I heard a lot of people like talking about it leading up

to it talking about it during it talking about after it and there was an

e-commerce session that I want to talk about just because like I know the guy

who ran it super smart guy if you aren't familiar with Seth David he is an icon

in the QuickBooks world he's also I'd call him he's not old enough to be a

grandfather but he's kind of the grandfather of YouTube accounting videos

so I want to give props to him he ran the show but some of the advice he gave

about Amazon accounting makes me a little bit nervous so I wanted to add

some context around it for everybody I think that he's on the right track with

his method but I think that you can do things a better way so I want to talk

about spreadsheets versus versus a2x specifically and go through kind of the

pros and cons of them just so that everybody has kind of a bigger picture

of what it is the people that might be trying to solve what problems they might

run into and stuff like that so let's get started

all right so hopefully we can all agree that pretty much anything is going to be

better than entering in transactions one by one because that just sucks

especially for e-commerce because ecommerce there can be hundreds or

thousands or tens of thousands or even millions of transactions a month and you

don't want to I mean sometimes it's like physically impossible to enter in every

transaction one by one so I think that Seth is on the right track as far as

getting a spreadsheet to kind of automate some of those processes to be

able to gather the information so that you can make sense out of it for use in

your books okay so if you aren't familiar with it basically what he's

kind of advising is you gather up all of the different SKUs which is stock

keeping units you gather up your list of products you gather up all all your

payment processors and shopping carts and things like that into an Excel

spreadsheet and you have some good formulas that will look things up and

give you good information and when I say he's on the right track I mean this is

actually the way Scott and I started this when we started catching clouds and

we had our first e-commerce client in two thousand twelve two thousand twelve

two thousand thirteen this is how we basically did everything was we were

gathering information and making sure that like everything was tying to what

landed in the bank my concern from some of the emails and things that I've seen

come from him is that he's saying do not pay any attention to any apps they're

just trying to sell you something and they don't know what they're talking

about because this is the way to do it and I'm I'm not convinced that there's

necessarily one way to do it in every single situation and I think maybe the

way that he's talking about is going to be better for somebody who is

specifically on a really really tight budget and somebody who has a lot of

extra time I also want to specifically talk about Amazon because Amazon is the

one shopping cart or marketplace really that has a tool that will help you in

this way I think if you're looking at something like WooCommerce shopify

bigcommerce there there aren't really any good solutions at the moment that's

gonna get you where you want to go so maybe his spreadsheet is better but when

it comes to Amazon there is a hands-down winner for both zero and QuickBooks

Online and so I want to compare his use of the spreadsheets with a 2x all right

I have no financial interest in the spreadsheet that Seth is selling I also

have no financial interest in a 2x I'm not part of their affiliate program or I

get no kickbacks on that so all of this is just based on my own personal

experience and expertise in this area all right right off the bat cost I think

you can understand that the cost is going to obviously be better with the

spreadsheet scenario because you know nothing really beats free I do believe

that Seth is charging for the template so if you don't want to create it

yourself I think it's a nominal amount like maybe $25 or something like that

that you can pay to basically get what he's been working with and you can use

it yay yay for you that that's I think a

good investment so that you don't have to recreate the wheel yourself all right

a 2x is currently $19 a month for the starter setup which is I think 200

transactions a month it goes all the way up to four thousand nine hundred ninety

nine dollars per month for a million transactions so obviously that's quite a

disparity free or 5000 dollars a month but I will tell you that they wouldn't

have this product where people are actually paying for it if it did not

help in some regards so I want to talk about some of the features of it all

right so let's talk about scalability a2x just so you have a little basic

understanding of how it works it will take all of the sales and stuff from

Amazon and all the related fees and everything else and it'll take a look at

your last settlement statement so the last batch of transactions if you had a

batch that spanned over August and September for example it'll take just

the August sales and put that in August justice

timber sales put that in September but it'll put it in in a summary format so

that it doesn't matter how many SKUs you have it doesn't matter how many

transactions you have it's all just nice and pretty and posted accurately ok with

the spreadsheet if you have 20,000 products different SKUs and you're

importing all of that into quickbooks online you are running the risk of

crushing the system if you have a million orders and you're trying to use

excel it's going to totally break down on you and you can't get that into the

system even if you're doing it in the summary view because excel is just going

to kind of fold under you so so really a 2x totally scales we use it with 40

million dollar companies but with the spreadsheet method you're kind of

running a risk that it's gonna break as you grow so you need to keep that in

mind all right now efficiency and ease of use

I know that I've seen in emails and things from Seth that if you're using

his system properly that it is more accurate than you can get out of another

system and it's super efficient I heard that during his session he talked about

how he took the system from 6 hours down to an hour and everybody applauded and

that's great but with a 2x it is literally like you said it it takes 15

minutes to set it up and then it's one click every time the information comes

in like one hour one click you know and I really worry about somebody who's

using spreadsheets because everybody's human you know and if you make a mistake

or you copies something wrong or you make and you know there's some kind of

errors something then you have to go fix that and find your problems and whatever

it just it takes more time than I think he's really allowing for whereas if it's

a 2x and there's a problem you just escalate it to support and they figure

out the problem and then when it's next click like it's really not even a

contest a 2x is going to win every single time because it was actually

created to solve this exact problem alright so let's talk about accuracy I

know for Seth it's a really huge deal to be able to audit all of the transactions

and have confidence that everything is being posted properly in the system and

he says that with his spreadsheet he can make sure that he can validate that and

get it in there here is a bonus tip for you whenever you

are testing out a new piece of software a new tool a new app you need to have

that level of confidence you need to make sure that things are being pulled

over correctly and getting posted correctly and things like that

and then once you have that level of confidence you should be able to use the

app with a 2x we've been using it for more than four years and the thing with

a 2x is that when it comes into the system it will always reconcile to the

penny of what gets deposited from Amazon so there's nowhere else that that the

information could be hiding if it totals in sum then you can have confidence that

it's working and if it doesn't total properly then you can raise a support

ticket to a 2x and that has almost never happened to us so I understand the

concern and I think it's noble that you make sure that you can rely on the apps

that you're using but I don't think that that means that you should do it

this more complex difficult manual way forevermore I think that you should rely

on an app that specializes in getting it right and the other problem is let's say

you want to actually build a business let's say you're an accountant and you

want this to be your life's work you want to specialize in e-commerce

accounting and you're doing this for all of your different clients if

want your business to grow so that you're not always the one doing it let's

say you're a rockstar at spreadsheets you love them but you have other

higher-level work you want to do and you want to Train somebody else how to do

the spreadsheets you need to rely on them and their skill and expertise with

Excel to make sure that they get it right whereas with a 2 X if it's just a

click of a button it's so much easier to train them on than to train somebody

else on all them minut steps for an hour-long process to get the information

into your system the other thing I want to take a look at is cash versus accrual

when you are posting the income it's not enough to post it on the date of the

settlement statement that date may include transactions from from August

and September like I talked about before if you post all of those in September

you're posting August sales in September when they actually belong in August a 2

X splits this up beautifully and accurately every time if you're using

the spreadsheet that I saw Seth had its posting on that September date for all

the past stuff now I know in a follow-up email he said that he has figured out an

answer for being able to break that up I don't know what his answer is but

hopefully he got that figured out but that was something that really concerned

me when I saw his method for posting income in his YouTube video

one of the last hot-button issues for Seth is that you cannot get all the

detailed information from a to X based on like you can't get the sales by SKU

number or anything like that so that he can't run a sales by item summary in

quickbooks online so I totally understand his concern and frustration

and honestly this is how I looked at it when I first was doing e-commerce also I

wanted that pretty report out of QuickBooks online that says here is

sales number here's the cost of goods sold and here is the profit by by unit

but like I talked about before this isn't a scalable method to

be posting everything unit-by-unit because it'll eventually crush your

system so so then I started asking myself do I really need a sales by item

report like is there another way to get that information without having it run

through QuickBooks Online and the answer is yeah

there are lots of other ways to do it it does not need to run through your

accounting system and honestly it probably shouldn't run through your

accounting system the ideal place to have it run through is through a cloud

inventory system now I realized that having a separate cloud inventory system

is yet another app that you need to pay for so I think it really kind of depends

on the individual situation there are other methods without having to get a

full-blown cloud inventory system you can use something else like

managebystats hello profit fetch your inventory lab you can import costs into

there you can get some pretty charts and graphs and analytics and things like

that with pretty accurate information that's gonna be way better than your

sales by item report out of QuickBooks Online so let me tell you a few other

things that a 2 X is going to do for you that is going above and beyond what

you're going to get from the spreadsheet ok number one is if you have the list of

all the costs for all of your different SKUs you can upload those into a 2 X and

a 2 X will be able to calculate the cost of goods sold

totally lining up with the sales that were made and push that information into

quickbooks online so you're getting both cost of goods sold and income

information posted you can also get a an inventory report out of a 2 X that's

going to include a breakdown between sellable and unsellable inventory which

is information that you're not going to be able to get from a static spreadsheet

it's also going to give you a breakdown of where your inventory is like country

by country at the end of each month they also have another report that is an

inbound inventory report so if you are sending you

inventory or your client ascending their inventory into Amazon but it hasn't made

it to the warehouse yet usually people have laid out money for that inventory

and you need to know that it exists even if it hasn't been logged in at Amazon

yet and then the last report that I think is really cool out of a 2x is a

nexus inventory report I think this is only unlike the $59 a month and up plan

but you can find out so here's what happens

product goes into Amazon Amazon is taking care of the fulfillment and

everything so they're sending product your product to all these different

warehouses that's closest to your potential customers so everywhere

they're sending their products is creating physical nexus for you because

your products are showing up in all these different states and you can get

this Nexus inventory report that is telling you not only when you first had

products showing up in a particular state so if it like showed up in

California for the first time you want to know that because you want to know

that your products are there and it will also tell you when it was there for the

first time so if you want to pay attention to all the sales tax rules

that are really important for e-commerce sellers this report is vital to to

anybody who is selling through Amazon so

I mean I like spreadsheets as much as the next guy but I don't want to spend

an hour for each of my clients let's say I have 50 clients that's 50 hours a week

that I'm spending manipulating income data to get it into my accounting

software like that's not how I want to be spending my time I would rather just

click and reconcile them through 50 times than to spend 50 hours on that

sort of thing so I think that it's worth taking a step

back looking at what it is you're trying to accomplish and then seeing the best

way to get there the answer may be suss spreadsheet the answer is almost always

a 2x or there may be another method that you come up with but I think it's worth

questioning how you're doing things while you're doing them the way you're

doing it and seeing if there's a better way I also want to let you know that we

have and like a recorded webinar essential tools for Amazon sellers I'll

put the link down below so that you can check that out if you're interested I

will tell you that if you're planning on specializing in e-commerce accounting I

don't know any e-commerce accountants who use a spreadsheet for Amazon every

single one uses a 2x and that is not an accident it's really the best bang for

your buck and and I think especially if you are an e-commerce seller if you're

in an Amazon seller doing it yourself you would so much rather deal with a 2x

then deal with a spreadsheet whether you're interested in set David's

spreadsheet that links down below or a 2x that's it down below - like I said I

don't have any affiliate links on anything this is just my personal

opinion I hope this video helped you if it did please like comment and share if

you haven't already please subscribe and I'll catch you later

Halle Berry Dons Backless Dress, See-Through Tank in Desert | Heavy.com

Halle Berry posted a photo of herself wearing a backless dress while sitting in the sand in the Sahara Desert in Morocco.

The actress had her back to the camera as her long hair appeared to be blowing in a gentle breeze.

She sat facing the dunes, barefoot, having a moment to herself.

"Everything has changed, and yet, I'm more me than I've ever been," Berry captioned the photo, which you can see below.

     .

Berry's caption does seem a bit mysterious, but also very inspirational.

While it's unclear what she's referring to when she wrote "everything has changed," fans seemed to love the message of empowerment to be one's self and to love one's self.

Just a couple of days ago, Berry posted another photo of herself rolling around in the desert sand, wearing a see-through white tank top.

"Sahara stunning, she captioned the photo, which was liked by more than 142,000 Instagram users.

You can check out that photo here.

Berry has been romantically linked to a few men over the past year or so, most recently to her John Wick 3 co-star, Keanu Reeves.

According to Gossip Cop, however, the two weren't hooking up, despite reports to the contrary.

As for what she's been up to lately, Berry seems to be enjoying single life, spending time with her two children, Nahla and Maceo, and keeping busy with a full list of projects that should carry her well into the new year.

Berry recently finished filming John Wick: Chapter 3, which is slated for release in 2019.

According to her IMDb page, she has joined the cast of Bruised, portraying the character Jackie Justice.

Her most recent project, a role in the film Jagged Edge, was recently announced and should start production sometime in 2019.

Master the Ruby Light and Become the Invincible Diamond Presence of Love - Duration: 5:30.

Out of the Silence I come.

I am the Buddha of the Ruby Ray.

And I sit in the lotus

posture before you and ask

that you sit in meditation

today within the ruby heart of God.

The ruby heart of God is a

pulsing orb of fire whose

needle rays penetrate all.

This heart God would have

as thine own if you would

have it, beloved.

For the earth must receive

the impetus of fire that is

the 8th ray action of

sanctification ere Aquarius

be fully manifest.

First it must manifest in

you, for you are the seed

of Buddha where you are.

Silence is golden but it is

also ruby.

The ruby stillness of the

Buddha quenches all fear,

all perversions and poisons

that attempt to lie in wait

to trip you up just at the

point when you are gaining

ground on becoming the

Buddha where you are.

When you master the Ruby Light,

you are invincible because

the diamond presence of

love which has been

accelerated beyond this

plane becomes that hardness

that cannot be broken,

for it is the very

substance of God as his

heart fire magnified over

and over until it is truly

crystallized as the Rose of

Sharon within.

The silence of knowing is a

silence that is won through

pure thought.

Pure thought is the

entering into the Mind of God,

whose stream may merge with

thine if you would Be.

If you would Be, then

arrest all spirals of unknowing,

and Know God as Self.

Beloved, as I have

traversed the earth from

the core to the center and

back again,

I have witnessed all.

I have become the all

because the all has become me.

Do you see that to become

the Buddha does not require

"effort" as you think,

but the supreme entering

into oneness that says "NO"

to all that is not,

all that is maya?

Touch the ground with the

vajra mudra to say no to

all that is keeping you

from your oneness with the

Beloved, the very heart and

mind of God.

Say Yes to the pure stream

of that Mind which would be

your mind by congruence,

by the confluence of love

as thine own.

I Am the Buddha of the Ruby Ray.

I convey light.

I convey the heart fires of God.

I convey love as the purest

love that you can know,

supreme love that cannot be quenched,

for it both consumes and creates,

creates and consumes,

consumes and creates until

your heart is that pulsing

heart that knows all.

Yes, your heart knows all.

Know your heart and you

shall know all.

I have come.

The rippling of the light

will continue from this

point, and the waves of

love will continue to

expand and expand.

May you feel them and know

me as Self, as Heart,

as the All, Beloved.

Aum.

Chelsea news: Sarri personally calls Fekir, Hazard revelation, Barca January signing claim - Duration: 2:10.

Nabil Fekir phone call Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is desperate to sign Lyon's Nabil Fekir

Spanish outlet El Gol Digital say Sarri personally phoned the France international in an attempt to get him to join the Blues

Fekir almost joined Liverpool in the summer transfer window. However, the Reds pulled the plug on the transfer after discovering a recurring knee injury

Eden Hazard revelation Eden Hazard says he's still feeling the effects of the World Cup in the summer

"Believe me, I am tired!" Hazard said. "But I think I'm in good condition to play

"Last year I got an injury with my ankle for three months. So that's why I'm fresh now

" Barcelona transfer off Barcelona ace Denis Suarez would only be a backup option at Chelsea if Sarri was to sign him, ESPN FC pundit Paul Mariner claims

"Sarri's had him on his radar for a long time," Mariner said. "When he was at Napoli he tried to sign him a couple of times

"I don't know why they need another midfield player. It looks as if they're flushed in there

"Maybe he just wants to get him in for cover. "Sarri knows about him way more than I do

"I just don't see how he's going to get playing time. "I don't see it (happening), I'm sorry, no

Santiago Solari confirmed as Real Madrid boss on permanent basis - Duration: 3:20.

Real Madrid have confirmed Santiago Solari as their permanent head coach giving him a two-and-a-half-year contract

Solari took charge of the first team a fortnight ago and promptly racked up the best start of any new manager at the club in its 116 year history

His first four games ended with four wins and a 15-2 goals tally, and the players were left in no doubt that they wanted the 42-year-old Argentinian to take charge on a permanent basis

SOLARI'S RESULTS  Oct 31 - Melilla 0-4 Real MadridNov 3 - Real Madrid 2-0 Real ValladolidNov 7 - Plzen 0-5 Real MadridNov 11 - Celta Vigo 2-4 Real Madrid  On Tuesday Madrid said in a statement: 'The Real Madrid board, meeting on November 13, 2018, have agreed to name Santiago Solari as the first team coach until June 2021

'That makes Solari the 13th coach in the era of president Florentino Perez who first came to power in 2000, left in 2006, and came back in 2009

He will earn slightly less than the €6m (£5.2m) a season picked up by his predecessor Julen Lopetegui in what is his first big job in football after three seasons coaching the youth team

'He is a great coach and of course we want him to stay in charge,' said full-back Alvaro Odriozola at the weekend after Madrid beat Celta Vigo 4-2

Lucas Vazquez, another who has played more under Solari than under his predecessor, said: 'It would be hard for him to have done any better

'We have got back the good feeling we had in the squad before. We are back winning football matches and in my opinion he should stay in charge

'Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who is now first choice in goal in both La Liga and in the said: 'We have got our confidence back

'Real Madrid still lie sixth going into the international break but they are only four points behind leaders Barcelona

Example - 2(Percentage) | Aptitude for UPSC, GATE, Banking, CAT and other Competitive Exams - Duration: 2:01.

In our today's example 8% of people eligible to vote are between 18 and 21 years of age.

In an election, 85% of those eligible to vote, who were between 18 and 21, actually voted.

In that election, the number of persons between 18 and 21, who actually voted, was what percent

of those eligible to vote?

Options are as given in the question.

To solve it let's simply assume total no. of people eligible to vote is 100.

So people eligible to vote but in the age between 18 to 21 years are 8% of total voters

that is 8 but only 85% of them actually voted.

That's mathematically 6.8 that's option B.

If you still don't get it how the number of person is a fraction just remember this is

calculated assuming total no of people is hundred so multiplying ten on both side of

the fraction doesn't actually change the value of the fraction and gives you more significant

understanding that means if 1000 people are eligible to vote then only 68 persons actually

voted and their age is between 18 and 21.

Hope you solved it along with me and last but not the least, if you're grown up, don't

sit idle, must have an active participation in the election and help the nation to grow up

during election in the comment section.
