Daniel Webster Middle School in Los Angeles, California. The school won the

nationwide contest, held last spring, to become a Verizon Innovative Learning School.

It allows them to be on the cutting edge, to be a part of everything that exists currently

to be able to make changes in the world. It's really difficult to work at a job now

& be truly efficient without the skills of technology.

I'm super duper excited because we're going to get our personal tablets

& we'll be able to use them in more ways than we used to.

JB: We've helped more than a million students and want to reach two million more.

in your name, for up to $2 million dollars to help schools in need.

JG: I did the text & you can also tweet. It's so exciting to watch those kids begin a new

era of learning. And speaking of kids and technology, on Saturday,

the Sacramento Kings became the first United States sports franchise to use

Verizon 5G technology to deliver a live, in-game, 360 virtual reality experience to fans.

So we invited kids from the Men's and Women's Leadership Academy and College

Track Sacramento. They were the first to experience the game from the

simulated perspective of the scorer's table through immersive virtual reality goggles

with content delivered through Verizon's 5G wireless technology.

So cool to see that live & in action.

-Isn't it funny? When I do that, I feel some stimulation.

I'm so sensitive, all I have to do is touch my picture.

I did not know it was coming. -Really?

You had no warning? -No warning at all.

Some company that was releasing --

It was the 25th anniversary of "Jurassic Park."

And they wanted to promote it.

Anyway, they did that. No.

The morning of, somebody sent me "Look what showed up."

-This is even better. Like, it's one thing there.

But I guess, in London, there's not that much going on.

[ Laughter ]

-I hadn't seen that.

-So it's just, "Let's go..." -I hadn't seen that.

[ Cheers and applause ]

-And that's just like -- So, somebody was like,

"What should we do this afternoon?"

"Let's go look at the Goldblum."

-I guess so. Yes.

I must give off some radiation, which I do in real life, too.

People sometimes, they'll put lawn chairs in front of me.

-Oh, wherever you are, you're just surrounded --

If you stay stationary too long,

lawn chairs will just show up around you.

-That's right. That's right.

-You got to keep moving, Goldblum.

[ Laughter ]

So, you -- I want to ask about this, as well.

-Okay. -This is from "Life Aquatic."

-This is all embarrassing. I'm so sorry. I apologize.

-No, it's not embarrassing. It's wonderful.

So, you're in the film. The great Wes Anderson.

-The great Wes Anderson. I've done three movies with him.

"Isle of Dogs" most recently. -Yep.

-And then "Grand Budapest Hotel."

And "Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou."

-Yep.

-And there was a --

-And you were in "Journey to the Center of the Earth."

I love that. I love the original.

You ever see the original? -No.

-In Pittsburgh, I went with my sister.

-Oh, wow. -Pat Boone. Oh, baby.

James Mason. -Oh, James mason.

-That's a great movie. -There you go.

-Anyway.

-So, there was an oil painting of your character in the film.

-Yes.

-And did you ask for it, or did Wes offer it to you?

-Wes Anderson did. After we did the movie,

he called up and said, "You know, I got this thing."

It was in the movie at the Explorers Club.

A portrait of Bill Murray's character and my character.

We were explorers. Anyway.

He said, "You know, we got this thing. You want it?"

"Sure," I said. "Roll it up." It was a beautifully done --

Rolled it up. He sent it to me.

And then I framed it in a big, gaudy gold frame,

put it in my house, and it's hopefully taken

in the ironic spirit, which it's meant...

although there's probably a good modicum of narcissism.

-No, it's a nice -- There's a nice -- You know what?

If anyone deserves a little bit of narcissism,

it's you, my friend. -You, my friend.

That movie was -- I don't even know if it was a movie.

I don't know what it was, but I felt like I lived with you.

-It was an experience. -It really was.

-One of my favorite things I've ever seen.

You were so great, and I was so sad at the end --

Yeah, that's not a movie for spoilers,

but it was a good experience.

-And also "Black Mirror."

You crushed it in that one. And now, anyway.

This is in theaters and it's in IMAX as well.

You were sick is what I heard during filming.

-Yeah, I had mono, which is weird to get at 31.

-That is odd, yeah. -Yeah, it's strange.

-Where were you filming? -We were filming in London.

And I thought like -- Oh, I didn't know what it was.

So when I got sick, I did about half of the movie with mono.

But what I had to do is I had to go out --

I had overstayed my visa in London.

I had to go out of the country to Paris.

So I spent one night in Paris, but I was out of it.

And I sleep naked, so I get into the hotel room,

and I wasn't thinking.

I shut the door and I go to bed.

I wake up the next morning, and I didn't realize

that the entire side of the wall to my hotel room

is a massive floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall window.

On the other side of it is where all of the French patrons

are eating their breakfast.

[ Laughter ]

And it was like, "Oh, all right, hey."

-Oh, my gosh! -"How's it going?"

I didn't know what to do. I was like frozen.

People looking at me. And I got back under the sheets.

And I was like, "Oh, what do I do?"

I can't like, get up and get the --

I can't close the curtain.

-Yeah, never forget that. That is a --

-Yeah.

-"That is a big baguette. That is a --"

[ Laughter ]

"It's a croissant. It's a small baguette."

[ Laughter ]

"It's a croissant."

But why would you have to go to Paris to go --

-I don't know. I don't know.

-You just felt like doing it. -Well, they made me.

-Oh, for like -- -I got on the bullet train.

I went for one day. I was totally out of it.

And then just slept one night in Paris.

-Did it affect the movie or filming the --

-No, no. They were cool about it

because I got to go back and I did like --

you know, I had to do a couple night scenes -- it was funny.

You can play a game if you want when you're watching the movie

because it's like, you know,

watch when Wyatt's gaining weight and losing weight

because I lost about 25 pounds

in like a span of probably three weeks.

Just like shed the weight.

So in some parts of the movie, you're like,

"You look a little thin."

Pretty good, but a little thin.

-So in the movie, it's supposed to span a couple of --

-Six hours. It's over six hours.

-So in the six hours, you get skinny and fat in the movie.

-Yeah, yeah. [ Laughter ]

It's like, "Oh, anybody that's gained that much weight

in six hours, you should see a doctor."

-You got to go -- you got to see it just for those scenes.

What can you tell us about "Overlord"?

-It's D-Day, 1944, Operation Overlord.

They get dropped on enemy lines in Nazi-occupied France,

and they encounter some very nefarious testing facilities

that the Nazis are doing.

-Well, this is a J.J. Abrams, right?

-Yes, J.J. Abrams produced this movie.

And it's unbelievable.

-There's zombies involved. -There's zombies involved.

-Come on.

If that's not a reason to watch this film, watch what he does.

-How did you get inside the church?

-Dead bodies.

-Slow down. Slow down.

-Listen to me. They're doing experiments on them in there.

They're doing experiments on the villagers.

and they're still moving the bodies.

-She doesn't actually have a body and she's still --

she's still talking and I saw --

Aztec Resistance | Native America | PBS - Duration: 2:12.

- [Narrator] This is ground zero of the European Invasion,

a catholic church built on the ruins,

of an Aztec temple in Mexico City.

(mysterious music)

Davíd Carrasco, a Mexican-American historian of religion,

at Harvard Divinity School,

is on the very spot where in 1521,

Spanish Conquistadors slaughtered 40,000 native warriors,

and the last Aztec emperor surrenders.

It is the end of nearly a century of Aztec rule.

The Spanish force Aztec workers to destroy their own temple,

and with it's stones construct the church in its place.

- [Carrasco] Spaniards knew that the site itself was sacred,

and therefore they wanted to build their church,

on the same site.

- [Narrator] This church marks the military defeat,

of the Aztecs, but it is also the place,

where the battle for people souls begins.

- [Carrasco] When the Spaniards came to Mexico,

what they really wanted was spiritual conquest.

They want to get inside of the Aztec mind,

and replace their own way of thinking,

with the Spanish European-Catholic way of thinking.

- [Narrator] Yet today these dancers,

and millions of Mexicans celebrate,

the clash and fusion of these two cultures.

Aztec beliefs do survive,

and the fight to keep them alive starts here,

with powerful, symbolic acts of resistance.

Builders take a stone with the face of an Aztec god,

from their temple and embed it into the church.

- [Carrasco] The masons who constructed the church,

re-utilized Aztec stones, in the very foundation and walls,

as a way of saying, yes we may be becoming Christians,

but we are Christians of another sort,

and we still believe in and worship Old Gods.

-All right. So, tell me. -So, 30 years in the making?

Well, in a way, because I've been playing out and about.

I was playing piano since I was a kid in Pittsburgh.

-Mm-hmm. Yes. -But 30 years ago,

I started to played to play out and about just for fun,

just because I'm -- it just delights the heck out of me.

And then -- And we wanted to do it under the radar, really.

And it was all going like that, except we started to play.

We played the Playboy Jazz Festival.

That's how we came up with the name some time ago.

But, a year ago, I was promoting "Thor: Ragnarok" in London,

and I went on a show with Gregory Porter,

who's a wonderful singer, who's great.

And he said, "Oh, I know you play piano.

Come on, let's -- accompany me while I do 'Mona Lisa.'"

So we did that in the show.

And then his record label, Decca, saw us do it and said,

"Hey, maybe we'll do something with Jeff."

And that's what -- what happened.

And they were so great -- Tom Lewis and Rebecca Allen.

They came to L.A. We talked about it.

They hooked us up with Larry Klein,

this spectacular producer,

and other -- Haley Reinhart, and Imelda May, who sings,

and I -- Sarah Silverman... -Sarah Silverman.

-..sings on it. -Our friend Sarah Silverman.

So, how did you get -- had you guys sung before, you and Sarah?

-Yes, we had.

I met her, you know, right around this right here

when I hosted "Saturday Night Live"

long before you were born... -Wow.

-...in 1993 -- no, '92. -No. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[ Light laughter ] -And she was writing it.

And then we stayed in touch.

I was pals, and she was, too, with Garry Shandling

and da, da, da. -Uh-huh.

-We found ourselves in the same circle.

We did a couple of things together.

And then, I had done a charity event

and cooked up this song in a duet with somebody else

that Sammy Davis and Frank Sinatra recorded

at that same place where we recorded this,

in fact, I do believe,

the Capitol Records Building in Hollywood,

of "Me and My Shadow." -Uh-huh.

-On one occasion, she was doing that Largo show that she does.

-Yes, a great comedy show. -Great comedy show.

Said, "Would you be my special guest?"

She said -- I said, "Hey, maybe we could learn this thing."

I went over to her apartment.

If you go on YouTube, you can see us.

She recorded us rehearsing it in her apartment before we did it.

Anyway, Larry Klein said,

"Oh, yeah, I've got Sarah to do this.

It might be funny and fun.

She's a wonderful singer." Anyway...

And we wrote some new novelty lyrics,

and we do a -- we that song on the album.

-That's fantastic.

1X Conversion, Chain Cleaning & Riding No-Handed | GCN Tech Clinic - Duration: 12:43.

- Welcome back to another cracking episode

of the GCN Tech Clinic, where we answer

and solve your bike-related problems.

So if you've got one, leave it for me

down there in the comments section,

I'll do my very best to answer it in a future episode.

Right, let's crack on.

First question this week comes in from Jeroen Hendricks

who says, they've got a full Ultegra groupset

on the cross bike, everything is running externally,

and it has a triple chainset on the front.

Now, Jeroen says, they only used the middle chainring now,

so what do they have to do to make this a single chainring,

or a double with a low budget?

Right then, Jeroen, if you wanna go one-by,

just remove the other chainrings

and use the existing chainring bolts,

but just take up the slack by using some washers.

Alternatively, you could get some single chainring bolts,

too, to actually work.

Now if you're looking to run it

as a two-by system still, take off the inner chainring,

because it sounds like you don't use that,

and play around with the adjustment screws,

the limit screws on the front derailleur,

and you'll be able to use that as a double setup.

I do like a bit of hacking and bodging.

Now we've got Andrew Deck and Andrew says,

on their bike, the rear axle and hub is slightly smaller

than the width of the bike's rear stays,

so when they tighten the wheel into place,

they can see the rear stays get slightly squeezed together.

Now Andrew's assumption is that this is adding

a bit of a twist to the chain system

and allowing for minor shifting imperfections

and also, reckons he notices extra wear on the system.

Is there anything that Andrew can do to add on to the axle

to increase the wheel width to offset this issue?

Andrew, this is perfectly normal on frames, really,

because the internal diameter, or internal width rather,

of a chain stay as well as fork tends

to be a couple of millimeters wider

than the over locknut distance of your hubs.

So, when you tighten up the skewer, the frame does

in fact just clamp on to those over locknuts.

You see where I am?

Hopefully still.

Now, if you had it narrower,

you would actually have to pull apart the frame

to actually get your wheel in,

which doesn't sound ideal really either.

So it's perfectly fine, and when you're setting up

your gears, you always do that

with the wheel fully clamped up in the rear, too.

So you shouldn't be getting any gear imperfections

or anything like that because, well, you're setting up

like that in the first place.

As for adding anything onto the axles,

I wouldn't do that, so no washers or anything like that,

because if you do it, you're not gonna have quite

as big contact area between the axle and the frame,

which doesn't sound very safe really.

So don't go adding anything onto the axles.

If you look around or ask any of your riding buddies,

they will all have the same kind of thing there.

So, everyone's frame tends to just move

in a couple of millimeters when you do up

those quick-release skewers.

Next we've got Chiel van den Boogaard,

I hope I pronounced that correctly.

Now, their problem is they've got a problem

with the chain and cassette, which is never good.

They clean them every two or three weeks,

really thoroughly, they say.

Now when they ride again, everything is dirty

and black straightaway.

How can they prevent this and keep a clean bike?

Right then.

Have you only cleaned the chain and cassette?

That could be the problem.

Make sure you also clean the chain rings

and the pulley wheels too, because they accumulate

a hell of a lot of gunk and dirt.

And also rinse it really, really thoroughly, too.

And when I say you've cleaned it thoroughly,

and also rinsed it thoroughly, I mean thoroughly.

Because there's thoroughly, and there's Jon Cannings,

elbow grease thoroughly, the two are pretty different.

Now also, only apply bike-specific chain lubricant.

So don't go putting a multipurpose grease

or anything like that on it,

cause it's not gonna do the same job.

And, importantly too, only apply it

to the rollers of the chain.

So each individual one.

Okay, it's gonna take up three minutes

of your time, possibly something like that,

but it is gonna give you much better results,

because all that gunk is not gonna get accumulated.

As for getting a perfectly clean bike,

I don't know.

I wish I did know.

I have actually used, in the past, some mud repellent,

believe it or not, that I could spray on the frame.

I reckon it did work in fact, that mud and dirt

and stuff like that, it didn't tend

to stick on there quite as much.

However, I'm not that fussed about it.

I do actually enjoy washing my bike.

And you should, too.

Next one this week is from Lou Ooxil

or something like that anyway.

They have a question for their favorite bike mechanic.

Isn't that nice of you?

On their vintage commuting 650B Gitane bike,

I love a Gitane, whenever they ride no-handed

with some speed, the front wheel

and handle bars start to wobble.

How can they solve this?

Don't ride no handed.

No, in seriousness, make sure that your headset bearings

and hub bearings are all okay, they're not loose

and they're not ultra-tight, anything like that.

So they're just silky smooth, buttery smooth, if you like.

Also make sure your frame and forks are perfectly

in line, so not bent or twisted.

And, importantly too, your handle bars

and stem are pointing in the correct direction.

So I don't mean backwards or anything like that,

I just mean they're totally in line with the fork.

It could also be, maybe, you just need a little bit

more practice there with the actual riding no handed.

Or it could well be the speed you're riding at,

because a lot of bikes do tend to get a little bit

of speed wobble once they're up to a really high speed.

Because of the frequency of the front wheel,

and also the frame, they get a bit of vibration

from the road, and together, those two,

basically, you meet, or they match each other

in a really incompatible way, and they start to wobble.

It's not that common, though I'd say most bikes do get it,

you tend to get it at very, very, very high speed.

On mountain bikes, especially in your case

with 650B wheels there, which are

more common on mountain bikes, you don't

really tend to find it that often.

But anyway, I hope that you can solve that either

with your hub set, or head set

in this case, or hub set bearings.

Fingers crossed your frame isn't out of line.

Let me know how you get on with that one.

Next question is from Doug Mason.

Now Doug has just bought a new cassette

and he ordered a CS-5800 cassette

to match his Shimano 105 that he has on the bike.

Instead, the seller has sent a CS-R7000.

After reviewing Shimano's compatibility chart,

it looks like it should work just fine.

Can I confirm?

Yup, that will work just fine.

And do you know what, Doug, you're a lucky lad,

because you've actually got an upgrade there

because that's the latest generation, so it's, what,

four years on from the 5800 cassette that you ordered.

There's nothing better than getting a cheeky,

unexpected little brucie bonus in the post, is there?

And yeah, it's gonna work just fine.

Next question comes here from Horia Popan

who says, Jon, have you ever used

a RoadLink derailleur hanger extension.

Now they would like to use their 105

or Ultegra rear long cage derailleur

with an 11 to 40 cassette instead

of the 11 to 34 cassette they've currently got.

Good news, I have used one.

I didn't use the wolf tooth specific one,

in fact I used an online copy of one,

naughty, I know, but yeah it was very, very cheap

and it arrived very, very quick.

And it did work, and it allowed me be able

to drop my rear derailleur about two centimeters lower

than its usual place on the rear derailleur hangar.

What does that allow then?

Well, it allows the rear derailleur upper pulley wheel

to just be a little bit lower so you can accommodate

a bigger or a wider range cassette, if you like.

So I managed to use a short-cage campagnolo rear derailleur,

which normally would allow a 28 or 29 tooth cassette,

I think it is, maybe a 27, I can't quite remember

which model it was off the top of my head.

Anyway, I managed to use a 36 tooth cassette with that.

So with your long-cage 105 or Ultegra rear mech,

a 40 tooth with a road link, not a problem at all.

At least not in my opinion.

Next up is Stuart Freedman who says,

they're thinking about converting their stem

and adding drop bars onto an 80s mountain bike.

I love it, this is going.

And then you wanna use it this winter.

Now Stuart, as a tested solution

for the thumb shifters, which I'm glad to hear,

cause that was actually gonna be one

of my questions back to you, but they're curious

as to whether drop bar brake levers will have

enough pull distance to work well with v-brakes.

Right then.

Well, from my experience, you can use standard

drop bar brake levers to work with v-brakes,

but the pads of the v-brakes need to be

really, really, really close to the rim,

and obviously then, your rims have

to be perfectly true, which isn't

always the case for everybody out there.

And probably not that practical either.

So, couple of solutions here.

You could use a problem solver's travel agent,

which is a little bit that you put onto the v-brake system,

and it adjusts the amount of cable pulled

to allow you to use drop bar brakes

along with those v-brakes.

Alternatively, you could use the Tektro RL520,

I think they're called drop bar levers,

which are actually purpose-designed

to use drop bar levers with your v-brakes.

Now, and also, send us a picture of

that drop bar conversion.

I love em.

Next one, Andrew Dettmer, who has recently bought a TT bike

with an Ultegra 6800 crank with 52 and 36 chainrings.

Now Andrew wants to put on the big boy TT chain rings.

Now, they're not gender-specific, Andrew.

Will the Dura Ace 9000 55 42 chainrings fit on the crankset?

Yeah, they will.

The BCD and pattern are the same,

so they are easily interchangeable.

So go ahead and fit those big dog chain rings on there.

Something to consider though, remember as well

to have enough room on your front derailleur mount

to accommodate a 55 tooth chainring.

Very, very, very likely you will,

only in extreme cases, people have to get brackets made

or extenders to actually fit that big a diameter.

So just be aware of that, and it depends on

if you're using mechanical or Di2 groupset.

If it's Di2, you're fine.

If it's mechanical, you may well need

to get a new inner gear cable cause it could well

be frayed, just where it's been clamped.

But yeah, it's gonna work absolutely fine.

And the final question this week.

I'm always sad at this point cause I do like

to answer your questions.

And it comes in from King85 who uses regular

continental race tubes on their DT Swiss 460 training wheels

and have a separate Zipp 404 NSW for racing crits.

Do I think that King85 would benefit

by using latex tubes or is it simply marginal gains?

Keep up the great work.

Tough one here really cause a benefit is a marginal gain

and a marginal gain is a benefit.

So, yeah, in my opinion, you will benefit

from using latex tubes because they tend

to be slightly lighter weight, therefore

less rolling resistance meaning you have

to put out less power to go the same speed,

which is always good, isn't it?

Which means you could put out the same power,

and go a little bit faster.

Either way, you're benefiting.

Now, there are a couple of downsides actually,

because they are porous, or more porous

than butyl tubes, so that means you are likely

to lose a few PSI during your ride.

Well, it depends on how far you're riding, to be honest.

I do know that there was, or still is in fact,

teams who used to put a certain amount of pressure

into their tubular tires before Paris-Roubaix

or at the startline, sorry, of Paris-Roubaix.

So, they'd lose enough air,

it only is fractional, but it is marginal gains

we're talking about, so when they hit the first sets

of cobblestones in Paris-Roubaix,

they're at the optimal pressure

because latex tubes do in fact lose some air,

as I've already mentioned.

So, just be aware of that.

Overnight you are gonna lose a few PSI, I dunno 15, 20,

all depends really on what brand you go for.

But yeah, latex tubes, I used to use them years

and years ago, but they tended to go a bit out of fashion

or a bit out of favor, and not so easy to find.

But yeah, I would say if you really want to go

for those marginal gains, go for it.

Alright, I hope that that answered your question, King.

I did digress a little bit in there

about Paris-Roubaix tech, but well

that's the sort of guy I am.

a catholic church built on the ruins,

of an Aztec temple in Mexico City.

Davíd Carrasco, a Mexican-American historian of religion,

at Harvard Divinity School,

is on the very spot where in 1521,

Spanish Conquistadors slaughtered 40,000 native warriors,

and the last Aztec emperor surrenders.

It is the end of nearly a century of Aztec rule.

The Spanish force Aztec workers to destroy their own temple,

and with it's stones construct the church in its place.

- [Carrasco] Spaniards knew that the site itself was sacred,

and therefore they wanted to build their church,

on the same site.

- [Narrator] This church marks the military defeat,

of the Aztecs, but it is also the place,

where the battle for people souls begins.

- [Carrasco] When the Spaniards came to Mexico,

what they really wanted was spiritual conquest.

They want to get inside of the Aztec mind,

and replace their own way of thinking,

with the Spanish European-Catholic way of thinking.

- [Narrator] Yet today these dancers,

and millions of Mexicans celebrate,

the clash and fusion of these two cultures.

Aztec beliefs do survive,

and the fight to keep them alive starts here,

with powerful, symbolic acts of resistance.

Builders take a stone with the face of an Aztec god,

from their temple and embed it into the church.

- [Carrasco] The masons who constructed the church,

re-utilized Aztec stones, in the very foundation and walls,

as a way of saying, yes we may be becoming Christians,

but we are Christians of another sort,

and we still believe in and worship Old Gods.

此前美軍的盾艦「唐納德·庫 克」號悍然闖入俄國西南方 領海12海里範圍內

對此

俄國軍方下令

動用「堡壘」岸基反艦飛彈系 統立刻鎖定這一戰艦。

在發現自己被鎖定了以後

美軍盾艦趕緊進行180度調 頭

並且全程採用S型規避機動倉 皇逃離俄國邊境。

而對俄國這種彪悍的行為

美國白宮有官員疾呼

請俄國保持冷靜

但也有支持俄羅斯方面的

稱俄此舉給世界作出了榜樣。

據了解

此次事件中

美軍軍艦靠近俄羅斯邊境後

俄羅斯立刻啟動了這款新武器

它的鎖定和瞄準迫使美軍軍艦 不得不後撤離開。

這款武器被叫做堡壘系統

俄羅斯的代號為K-300P

是俄羅斯所研發的世界上最出 色的反艦武器之一。

堡壘系統正如它的名字一樣

是由包括飛彈、

雷達等設備在內組成的一整個 系統

屬於岸基裝備

部署在陸地上

用於防衛近海。

不過

根據俄羅斯方面披露的消息來 看

堡壘系統也有能力攻擊陸地上 的目標

這也就使得它在陸地邊境線上 也能夠發揮出自己的作用。

堡壘系統的射程高達30 0公里

它所發射出的飛彈可以覆蓋方 圓600公里內的目標

這個範圍足以讓許多居心叵測 的外國軍艦放棄與之對抗的 想法。

它使用發射車進行牽引

底盤來自白俄羅斯

和他們的的阿斯托洛勞格飛彈 的底盤相同。

俄羅斯方面給堡壘系統配備了 許多配套設施

比如訓練所需的車輛

後勤所需的車輛等等

這些配套設施使得在戰時堡壘 系統的威力不會因為發生意 外而降低。

堡壘系統的飛彈會安放在牽引 車上

在發射時自動抬出豎立

由發射筒進行冷發射

降低了發射裝置被飛彈發動機 損害的可能性。

它的飛彈是大名鼎鼎的SS- N-26的改進版

飛行速度可以達到2倍音速以 上

一枚就能夠重創敵軍。

不過

必須要承認的是

俄羅斯的海岸線實在是太長了

堡壘系統的實力雖然出眾

卻也難免會有一些疏忽。

不過

俄羅斯方面的態度要比它所能 起到的作用更關鍵

最大射程能夠達到300公里 。

以特種車輛作為機動平台

全車組只需要三個人就能完成 整套發射工作

展開部署只需要5分鐘。

正因為如此拔群的隱身 和高機動性能才會讓美軍軍 艦後知後覺

而主角之一的弟弟因為父親的 性命是颶風帶走的

所以就刻苦的學習

在這樣恐怖的氛圍下

正常的人都會想著趕快逃離

而偏偏有人想「趁風打劫」

原來小鎮中有一處工廠專門用 來銷毀舊鈔

是粉碎那種

這個工廠也被嚴密保護著。

而正因為颶風襲來

才有人對這個金庫動了歪腦筋

極端天氣下人也走向極端。

影片的故事主體基本還是盜匪 片的路數

一個黑老大覬覦錢財

聚攏了多位猛士

還叫來兩個黑客破解密碼

準備趁著颶風過來

小鎮的人都撤離

然後過來干票大的。

可好巧不巧的是上午剛破解密 碼

下午女主就改了

等到他們攻進來

發現密碼不對

再破解還要三個小時。

三個小時？我都聞到錢味了還 要我等三個小時？ 黑 老大逼迫人質去找女主

女主的身份是倉庫的保管員

以前是軍人

因為某些原因而被調配到這裡 。

而等女主回來

發現門口不太對勁

下車之後就被槍指了。

黑老大進來的時候

發電機出故障

女主去找人修理。

不過幸好維修師傅開車幫她擋 了子彈

開玩笑

維修師傅以前也是去阿富汗參 過軍的好嗎。

可惜

人家掌握了門口的主動權

維修師傅被抓住

而女主則逃了出去。

逃出去之後也很幸運

他遇見了氣象學家

氣象學家還是維修師傅的親弟 弟

而兩人相遇之後去找警察。

如果只是盜匪片的話

這並不稀奇

它特別的地方是

在警匪你來我往間

颶風在其中的作用。

之後還有驚喜

大家可以去電影中細看。

引子自不必說

如果沒有這場颶風

劫匪也不會過來

發電機也不會出故障

女主也不會出去。

中間當女主與氣象學家躲避追 殺時

女主利用天空中的巨大吸力

將敵人全部吸向天空

這裡還利用了繩子

讓女主和氣象學家像風箏一樣 在天空騰飛。

在一個大棚里

也正是因為颶風帶來的洪流將 敵人全部沖走

保住一命。

而最驚險的是最後

雙方開著卡車向外逃離

三輛卡車並行前行

中間幾次交鋒都讓人心有餘悸 。

災難的無情是對所有人的

它既可以摧毀

也可以拯救。

但凡有人慢一步

就會被風暴吞噬。

這次颶風拯救的不僅僅是聯邦 政府的這一堆紙鈔

也不僅是幾個人的性命

它其實也解開了兄弟二人的心 結。

剛才提到氣象學家和維修師傅 是兄弟

其實他倆在電影開始時就已經 出現。

在兩人很小的時候

也出現過颶風過境的情況。

但因為哥哥玩風箏耽誤了時間

父親接兩人回家時

颶風已經無限靠近

車在前行途中也被倒下來的樹 逼向路旁。

當父親將兩個孩子放到旁邊的 屋子裡

自己去固定車子時

風暴來襲

滾落的巨大木桶從父親身上碾 壓而過

兩個孩子雖然幸運的逃過一劫

但是裂痕卻已深種。

弟弟一直埋怨哥哥害死了父親

而哥哥也一直很自責

之後去阿富汗當了兵

回來之後又去做維修工渾渾噩 噩的生活。

而弟弟見到颶風的恐怖

發憤圖強去做了氣象學家

這次觀察到颶風之後

也第一時間向上匯報

結果被無視。

兄弟二人因為颶風產生了隔閡

而因為這場風暴

兩人又並肩作戰

以前的心結也在反抗過程中漸 漸打開。

他只好調轉車頭

返回城鎮。

颶風的到來帶來了秩序的崩塌

既助長惡的肆意

也挖掘善的無私

無情中見到真性情。

Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update.

We've had clear skies across Seoul and most places today except in the east where there's

been on and off showers.

Tomorrow, on the day of the college entrance exam, or Suneung in Korean,... the weather

won't be uncomfortable,... but clouds will be encroaching from the west into the afternoon.

The morning will be sunny but with patches of fog so be extra careful when driving.

Morning temperatures will fall down to 4 degrees Celsius but it'll be a bit warmer in the southern

areas.

The daytime highs will be higher than the seasonal norms tomorrow.

Seoul and most regions will reach 15 degrees or above.

The dust levels are also expected to be high,... and test takers are allowed to wear masks

into the exam so do wear one to stay in the best shape.

The outlook through Friday until next Tuesday will mostly be cloudy except in some places

such as Jeju Island,... where rain is expected.

By next week, Seoul is expected to see morning lows of zero degrees.

29-year-old lost weight and body fat by only eating McDonalds - Duration: 7:26.

 Ryan Williams, 29, launched his fast food mission to disprove filmmaker Morgan Spurlock's famous Super Size Me documentary

 In 2004, the American filmmaker gorged on McDonald's for 30 days and gained 12kg, chomping through 5000 calories per day

 But Ryan from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire in the UK, pointed out that he was doing no exercise during the challenge, The Sun reports

 He also wanted to make the point that the amount of calories you eat is more important than what you eat

So Ryan set his own challenge, spending between $27-$36 each day for a month on McDonald's and made sure to eat everything on their menu at least once, as Spurlock did 14 years ago

 But the buff postie also spent an hour at the gym each morning during his challenge in October

 And he finished the month 7kg lighter than when he began, having lost just over two per cent of his body fat

 Ryan documented the challenge daily on his YouTube channel 'Ry', where he has built up a following of more than 1200 people who frequently watch him eating quirky things

 He said: "I've wanted to do this for a few years, but I never found the right time

 "But recently I saw an advert for 50 years of Big Mac, and it made me think that there's quite a lot of negative feeling towards McDonald's, with regards to it being unhealthy

 "Ever since I saw Super Size Me, I thought that the way he (Morgan Spurlock) did the experiment, was unfair

 "He ate 5000 calories a day and didn't do any exercise. I didn't feel like it was a surprise he became so unhealthy," he said

 "It's obvious that calories are quite important, but the average Joe doesn't always know how to balance the recommended calorie intake with staying in shape

 "I'm not suggesting that eating just McDonald's is a healthy way of living, but I wanted to show that it's purely a calorie game, as opposed to the types of food you eat

" But Ryan, who started the month weighing 89kg, said it was all about sticking within the recommended calorie intake and maintaining a frequent exercise program

 He began the month eating 2500 calories per day — the recommended calorie intake for a male adult — but dropped down to 2300 by the end of the second week

 And in the final two weeks of the challenge, he dropped his calories slightly further, depending on how his weight and body fat index was performing

 In the same format as the original program, he made it a rule to eat everything off the menu at least once — from Big Macs and McFlurrys to salad boxes and bags of fruit

 Ryan said: "Prior to the challenge I was probably in the worst state I'd been in in a few years

 "My diet wasn't great, I would eat a lot of food — about 5000 calories — in a day, lots of biscuits and junk food, and I wasn't going to the gym at all

 "Before that, for about 10 years, I was always very active and went to the gym four or five times a week

 "So for me, this challenge was partly about what I could do to help myself get back to that, while also having a bit of fun

" By the end of his challenge, Ryan was down to 82kg and had gone from 10.85 per cent body fat during a seven-site skinfold test, down to 7

59 per cent. Ryan said he switched up his eating habits halfway through the month, going from eating three meals a day in the first 15 days, to consuming all his calories for the day in one go

 He said: "On a couple of days I would eat only one item off the menu — so, for instance, I would live on just Big Macs for a day, or just McFlurrys for a day

" "I just hope that people see this and see the lightheartedness in it, and learn to worry less about the types of food they eat

コンパクトな車種は、価格も下がるから付加価値を削ら ねばならず、各ブランドの本質が浮き彫りになる。

ミドルサイズは各ブランドの中心的な存在だから、走行 性能、居住性、燃費、価格までバランスが良い。 そこ でコンパクトとミドルサイズが注目されて売れ行きも 伸びる。

BMWも同様で、コンパクトな1シリーズは少し人気を 下げたが、ミドルサイズの3シリーズは注目のモデル だ。

しかし主力からはずれる最上級の7シリーズも、改めて 試乗するとBMWの持ち味が色濃く感じられた。

試乗したグレードはM760Li xDriveで、2 016年10月に追加設定（予約注文を開始）した仕 様だ。 7シリーズの最上級グレードだから、BMWの 最上級セダンに位置付けられる。

ボンネットが良く見えて四隅も分かりやすい

最上級モデルの7シリーズのロングだからボディは相当 に大柄だ。 全長は5250mm、全幅は1900mm で、ホイールベース（前輪と後輪の間隔）は3210 mmに達する。 7シリーズの標準ボディに比べても、 全長とホイールベースがそれぞれ140mm長い。 最 小回転半径は6.1mと大回りだ。

エンジンは物凄く、V型12気筒6.6リッターを搭載 する。 これだけで動力性能は十分だと思うが、さらに ターボまで装着した。 最高出力は610馬力（550 0回転）、最大トルクは81.6kg-m（1550 ～5000回転）に達する。

排気量が大きいから、ターボを装着すれば現在の数値以 上に高い性能を発揮させることも可能だろうが、走行 安定性とのバランスも考えて抑制を利かせた。 そのた めに最大トルクの発生回転域が1550～5000回 転と幅広く、使いやすさにも配慮されている。

通常の走行では1600～2000回転前後を頻繁に使 うから、常に太いトルクが発生して運転がしやすい。 そこからアクセルペダルを深く踏み込むと、V型12 気筒らしく速度を一気に上昇させる。

前述のようにボディが大柄で小回り性能も悪いから、街 中で運転しやすいとはいえないが、さほど悲観的でも ない。 ボンネットが良く見えて、水平基調のスタイル だからボディの四隅も分かりやすい。 視線の高さもち ょうど良く、全長が5m前後に達するLサイズSUV ほど運転しにくい印象はない。

Lサイズのボディと軽快な運転感覚の組み合わせがBM Wらしい

大きくてもBMWらしいと感じたのは、操舵した時の車 両の反応と走行安定性だ。 前述のようにホイールベー スは3mを大幅に超えて、車両重量も2320kgに 達するが、ハンドルを少し回しただけで車両の向きが 正確に変わろうとする。 Lサイズのセダンとしてはス テアリングの設定が機敏だ。

ハンドルを左右に切り返すS字カーブを曲がる時も、ボ ディが左右に揺り返しにくい。 重量級のボディながら 、カーブを曲がる性能も高く、小さく回り込む場面で も旋回軌跡を拡大させにくい。 Lサイズのボディと軽 快な運転感覚の組み合わせがBMWらしさだ。

ホイールベースが長いこともあって後輪の接地性は高い。 4WDのxドライブも採用されるから、高速道路の 巡航を安心して行える。

前述のようにボディが大柄な割に良く曲がるため、後輪 の高い踏ん張り感と相まって、危険を回避する能力に も余裕がある。

7シリーズは全車にエアサスペンションが標準装着され 、エンジンやATを含めて、アダプティブ／スポーツ ／コンフォート／ECO PROの切り替えモードを 設けた。 アダプティブを選ぶと、足まわりなどが走行 状態に応じて最適にセッティングされる。

それでも乗り心地は、全長が5mを超えるLサイズのセ ダンでは硬めだ。 上級セダンだから粗さを抑えて上質 だが、コンフォートモードを選んでも柔軟にはならな い。

タイヤは20インチ（前輪：245／40R20・後輪 ／275／35R20）で、銘柄はブリヂストン・ポ テンザS001であった。 このタイヤの設定も、先に 述べた機敏な操舵感と硬めの乗り心地に影響を与えて いる。

試乗した時はLサイズセダンに似合わない足まわりだと 感じたが、見方を変えればBMWの性格には合ってい る。 全長が5m、ホイールベースが3mを軽く超える 上級セダンの選択肢は、一般的にはメルセデス・ベン ツ Sクラスが定番だろう。

この選択を避けて、敢えて最上級のBMWを購入するユ ーザーの気持ちを考えれば、この程度の硬さと、ボデ ィがコンパクトに感じる運転感覚は不可欠の条件だと 思う。

その意味では、メルセデス・ベンツSクラスと比較する と、7シリーズのBMWらしさが一層際立ちそうだ。

BMWらしい座り心地で、ドライバーが車両との一体感 を得やすい

BMW M760Li xDriveはBMWの最上級 セダンだから、内装も上質だ。 インパネの基本デザイ ンは3シリーズなどに通じる水平基調だが、メッキパ ーツの使われ方が艶っぽい。

BMWを含めたドイツ車らしくない雰囲気で、無国籍的 な印象も受ける。 このあたりは高級感に紛れて、BM Wらしさが希薄になる一面でもあるだろう。

Lサイズセダンだから車内は当然に広い。 それでも前席 はホールド性が優れ、引き締まり感を持たせた。 シー トが体をスッポリと包むようなBMWらしい座り心地 で、ドライバーが車両との一体感を得やすい。

後席は座り心地がBMWでは柔軟に仕上げられてかなり 快適だ。 前席とは印象が大きく異なる。 全高は148 5mmだから、セダンでは少し高く設定され、天井が あまり後ろに向けて下降していない。

従って着座位置が適度に高まり、なおかつ頭上の空間も 窮屈ではない。 身長170cmの大人4名が乗車して 、後席に座る乗員の膝先空間は握りコブシ3つ半。 頭 上にも握りコブシ1つ分の余裕がある。 これだけ広け れば、大人4名が乗車して、長距離を快適に移動でき る。

why do we work try to think about all

the reasons you want to go out and work

work for yourself it can be simple maybe

you just want to provide for your family

maybe you just enjoy what you do and you don't

care if you work and get paid for that or not you just enjoy that

maybe you enjoy the company maybe you just

want to see your friends at work and that's the reason

for you to go out and work think about it the more reasons

you have the better because when the why gets stronger

the how gets easier now you can go even deeper

than that yes let's go back to the past think about the

first time you even thought about working when was that

take your time maybe you were a child

and that was the first time you saw your mom

your dad even your grandparents working maybe you were with them

just there at work imagine yourself did you wanna join

did do you wanna join the party did you wanna join and help be

part of something bigger than you maybe that's your reason also today

maybe you want to go to work to be part of the community

to be part of something bigger than you maybe that's the reason

maybe that's another reason remember the more the better

want to set an example for your children

maybe that's another reason for you to go out and work

think about it your children see you go to work

and come back from work almost every day you want

to set an example for them yeah it is your duty it is an example

of responsibility you want to take care of them and you want to

take care of yourself and you want to show them how

it is done it is taking responsibility

maybe you don't even like that job too much but still you want

to set an example for them that some things in life

you do things that you don't necessarily feel like

think about it setting an example

pretty big reason to go to work and if you don't really like

where you're going if you don't really love your job

you can go deep in the past again and think about the reason

you took the job there sure was a reason right

because you chose to take this job maybe it was just a little bit better

than the other options maybe that was the only option

but that's still a valid reason maybe you wanted to support yourself

maybe you needed extra cash to support yourself your children

your spouse your parents maybe that's another reason

another reason cause... the more the better

more reasons the better because then the why

will get stronger and when the why gets stronger the how gets easier

it would be easier for us to wake up in the morning

go to that job that we might not like that much

but when we remind ourselves why we're doing it it will be easier

for us think about it the more the better
