Alfred K. Newman was one of the nine remaining Navajo code talkers alive to this day.

He passed away January 13th in New Mexico at the age of 94.

Newman served during World War II

and saw duty in places such as Bougainville Island,

Guam, Iwo Jima and New Georgia.

Navajo code talkers were Native Americans that enlisted in the Marine Corps

for their abilities to utilize the Na-Dene language

as a means of secret communication during wartime.

Due to their ability to communicate effectively

and stay undetected by the Imperial Japanese Army,

the Marine Corps was able to win the battle of Iwo Jima.

Not only did they help win battles and defeat enemy forces during World War II,

but their efficient code use aided in saving thousands of American and allied lives

throughout their time in the Marine Corps.

Thank you for your question.

What's my biggest obstacle on my way in the whole process and how were you able to

get through it?

Surprisingly I think for me in my feature film I think the biggest obstacle was really

just fear.

That might sound like a cop-out answer but it's not.

I think the hardest part is trusting yourself throughout the madness of everything that

is going on.

One of the biggest fears I had was just trying to come up with the money for it because that

was a really difficult process.

We did a Kickstarter campaign and we raised $35,000 for it which I think I had a little

bit of beginner's luck because when I look back at it now I can't believe that we did

that, it's pretty wild.

But I think that the hardest part it's really the fear and the patience it takes to sort

of do one of these things because things are never going to move as fast as you want them

to move.

One of the things I realized is almost everything that I thought "Yeah…I should have that

done in a month."

I just started multiplying it by four.

So that should be done in a month and we take four months.

Working at this level (because my film is a micro-budget film) it's basically there's

like that triangle, the good, fast and cheap triangle.

You can only have two of them.

That is totally a real thing.

And so if you don't have the money to do something and you are having someone work

on it, they're probably only going to work on it when they have time to do so.

And that means that you can get it good but it's not going to be fast.

I noticed that because I think we did really, really great work on my film and the people

(all the different disciplines) did a great job but it took a really long time and I think

that the patience can almost be enough to drive you mad.

For instance our VFX guy who is a brilliant VFX artist and he works at this big VFX house

was basically working on my film at nights every other weekend because he had stuff to

do and he just had a brand-new kid and things like that.

So that took a long time.

My dear friend who is a sound designer did sound on my film but he was working on that

throughout all his different jobs so that was a super slow process.

I think just being prepared with patience (how long it's going to take) you'd be

surprised.

Waiting for something can drive you mad especially if that is your number one focus which is

your feature or your project that you're working on because it's only going to burn

with that level of intensity to you the creator.

It's not going to burn with that level of intensity to anybody else.

And knowing that and embracing that can allow you to be cool with it.

I think earlier with the post-production process I didn't understand that and I would get

angry and I would get very impatient and I would get confused like "Why aren't they

getting back to me?

What's going on?

Huh?

I can't take it!"

Which is just silly because the reality is anything that is good takes time.

I think the quote is from Alice in Wonderland but 'There Are No Shortcuts To Places Worth

Going.'

That's a real thing.

We live in a culture where we want things and we want it now and we want things instantly.

But when it comes to making something like a feature or just any long-term project it

just takes time.

And it takes time for the thing to develop, it takes time for the thing to marinate and

the patience and getting through the fear of it are the two biggest obstacles I'd

say.

hello everyone and welcome back to my channel so it's finally Thursday the

17th and I'm going to get my bottom braces on so this is the last time you see

my bottom teeth with nothing on and soon this is all going to be metal so I'm

taking you with me and I'll try to film as much as I can the best way that I can

so it's the next day today sorry I didn't film after my appointment

yesterday cause I went shopping and I came back home and it was pretty late and

didn't have time to film but I'm filming this morning and I can tell you that I

didn't remember that it was hurting that much so they put on my bottom braces

this is what they look like this one here is not in the wire yet because

they're waiting for my teeth to expand

before they put it in so there's that and they also changed

my top wire and they replaced a couple of brackets on my top teeth I don't know if you can

see my bottom braces like impressed in my lip so I don't know how I'm

gonna eat and it kind of hurts to talk too so yeah there's that

also that gap I was telling you about is pretty much gone so like it's really

really small compared to what it was so it only took like a couple hours and it was

pretty much closed so now I have this on for 8 weeks and I'm going back in March

for another appointment ok so still the same day just a little

bit later it's about 12:30 and I'm about to go to work and I took some tylenol

because my teeth were hurting pretty bad now they're okay like they still hurt

but they don't hurt as much and I'll also probably put some wax on

my bottom brackets because they're really hurting my lips so it is now

Saturday and I got my braces on Thursday so I went to work yesterday and and that

was kind of hard I was having a hard time to talk and my teeth were hurting

no matter what I was doing and I think that my speech is kind of

weird right now but at least this morning my teeth don't hurt as much they

still hurt a little bit but nothing compared to yesterday and I took some

tylenol before going to work around noon and I took some at work at about

5:00 so that's the only two times I took tylenol and I also put wax on a couple

of my bottom brackets I also put wax this morning again because I

really don't want to have sores on my lips so I can show you what they look

like so that's what the wax looks like I wanted to put wax on the back

bracket like the last tooth but I just can't make wax stick there because

there's a lot of saliva and it's really rubbing against my cheek I can show you

there's a little bit of a sore that's starting to form there so I hope it

won't be that bad but I I'll show you that so yeah that's a little bit painful

but hopefully it will heal on its own and the cheek will get used to rubbing

against the bracket but that's pretty much it I hope you enjoyed this video

hey welcome back in today's video onision uhohbro channel being

deleted then coming back a little bit about a some insight on the last video I

made about that a lot of you guys were confused

it looks like god of cringe is up to no good and Trisha Paytas does or does not

support Donald a lot of us are confused about that all that and more as the Rev

reports over on the retzor twitter you can see I have a post about the

termination of an EC on channel I did post a video talking about how I did

have empathy for him losing his channel because I was appealing to human nature

and his wife and children I wanted to go into further depth on this saying I

don't have personal empathy for an easy on I have compassion I have the ability

to disagree with someone not like things that they have done but still see the

situation his wife children the work he's put in etc I am happy YouTube is

doing something so long as it's done in the right way and not out of censorship

and with recent events going on I'm not so sure people tend to get blinded by

hate and or a policy called bandwagon effect where they join in because it's

fun to be included and I get that but it does blind us from thinking rationally

for ourselves and forming our own opinions which is a fundamental part of

my channel if we spread hate because we don't like the someone spreads hate how

are we any different a lot of people thought that I was trying to humanize

and II see on too much or that I was trying to get people to feel sorry for

him and believe you me that's not what this is I have compassion in general

I've approached all topics on my channel with compassion and looking at things

objectively by judging the situation that's the only way that we can see the

news accurately deform our own opinions I do not agree with the Nissan I do not

have personal sympathy for a Nissan he's recently said in the most recent

red Zeon video that I said something about money I the only thing I said to

him about money was I did not have enough money to do what I want to do

which is travel the world and be a public speaker I'm not gonna go into

details on the conversations between me and him because like I said before it's

unethical to talk about personal DMS between me and another creator in other

news where we were outing the god of courage exposing him for lying about

sexual assault and I was asking you guys do you think there should be a

punishment about if someone lies about sexual abuse and it also want to know

here so let me know in the comments below how do you feel about that it's

pretty serious and it can be very damaging to the reputations of a person

but I just wanted to point it out further the god of cringe did issue an

apology to jesus christ youtuber but in each one of his apology videos right

here in the very front it says cheap shoutouts here's another one shout outs

for $7 and begin another one I'm sorry Jesus Christ channel shout outs for $7

so it was completely 100% obvious if you haven't seen the video that I did on

this it is called the sexual misconduct of Jesus Christ exposed where I go into

detail and show you exactly how the god of cringe was wrong and how he didn't do

any research and it just it's it's blatant it's a blatant lie there are

people out there that are willing to lie for money

let me know what you think about that also in the news Trisha Paytas has been

a topic of controversy once again because in a now-deleted video where she

was wearing a trump t-shirt she says of immigrants that there are so many taking

our jobs not paying taxes which are two horrible situations in regard to our

horrible economy so you're taking her jobs you're not paying taxes we're

paying for you same thing goes with women who come over to have a baby to

get American benefits they we're here pregnant how the baby they

can stay and now they're reaping the benefits of Americans without having to

do the duties of Americans we have to do as Americans so the wall per se is this

was met with outrage and it forced her to make an apology I'm going to say I do

not support a job because I don't and I never did and I don't know if there she

says that she never supported Trump ever but I found old tweets where she said

this 2015 new video while I'm voting for Trump we getting political up in here

her sorry I wanted to see what this video was but when I clicked on it it

was deleted but it must have been highly offensive as one Twitter user says I

can't believe you said that about Mexicans I'm so disappointed of you I

thought you were different sorry but after this video I never refused to

watch any more of your videos and that includes collabs with Shane Dawson she

said that she never voted a day in her life but in a tweet she said April of

2016 please keep an open mind that well I vote Republican I hardly a

conservative I'm more in the middle than you'd think it's really confusing

because she said for a fact that she didn't vote but here she says she does

vote which one is it all that stuff but in general even if I became super

informed and I had my candidate I supported them

I still wouldn't tweet about it or make videos if she said that she would never

do that when she so obviously did that November of 2016

everyone needs to chill the eff out Donald Trump is our president don't like

it move out of the country but this whining is annoying I just feel awful

that anyone would think that I'm this like monster and that I would like

support someone that does this stuff it's like I don't I don't know what to

do and it's like it's making that video that specifically the one that's going

on at Trump one of me and like the Trump shirt like encourage people who like

because at the time any place that he did not have a nomination that

encouraged people to actually vote so she says in this video that she

didn't wasn't supporting Trump after after his nomination but we've seen in

tweets that she was and this tweet here this tweet here which you can see is

definitely April 2016 she says while I endorsed Donald Trump I don't stand

behind every single thing he has ever said so she's saying one thing and then

being completely disproven on this other thing so it does seem very disingenuous

and it is blatant lies man that's crazy and when I was digging around I found it

a now-deleted video where she filmed her reaction when Donald Trump said that he

was running for president I kind of love it I kind of got chills and not gonna

lie kind of got chills never had sexual

thoughts about this performing iced tea so to be completely clear I'm not saying

that supporting Donald Trump or not supporting Donald Trump is good or bad

in this situation I have no preference towards your political agendas as we

don't do that on this channel what I'm pointing out here is the fact that she

lied and that's not good but I am very curious of what you think about this you

Man City News - Pep Guardiola urges Manchester City to sign £44m Premier League star - Duration: 2:37.

Bournemouth midfielder Jefferson Lerma has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester City, after his impressive first half of the season

City boss Pep Guardiola has been on the lookout for a new defensive midfielder for months now, with first choice player Fernandinho approaching the twilight of his career at 33-years-old

The reigning Premier League champions have suffered this season whenever Fernandinho has been absent, which has left them playing catch up in the table behind Liverpool

According to Don Balon, Guardiola has urged City officials to sign Lerma, who has been a key player for Bournemouth this term after signing from Levante last summer

The Colombian star has racked up 19 appearances for the Cherries across all competitions already and his displays in the middle of the park have earned him comparisons with Chelsea's N'Golo Kante

Lerma is a box to box midfielder cut from the same cloth as Kante, full of energy, committed and an adept reader of the game, with a knack for helping to drive his team forward

Lerma City are far too reliant on Fernandinho at the moment, but if they had suitable cover for the Brazilian, Guardiola's squad would be practically complete and Lerma is certainly a worthy candidate

Don Balon reports that Bournemouth have already placed a £44 million price-tag on the 24-year-old's head, as they aim to keep hold of one of their most prized assets heading into the business end of the season

For City to retain the title this term they are going to have to match Liverpool stride for stride over the next few months and to increase their chances of success Guardiola needs to land another holding midfielder

Carrying on with only Fernandinho to call upon would be a risk, which is why the club should heed Guardiola's request and push a deal for Lerma over the line before the window slams shut again at the end of the month
