- The word agriculture comes from agrarian

meaning the soil and culture,

the enrichment of soil,

yet today, modern industrialized agriculture

is a system that destroys soils,

extracts soils, minerals and degrades soils

and erodes soils.

We have lost touch with the natural systems

of the culture of soil.

Top soil is the layer that allows plants to grow

and it is decreasing at an alarming rate

because of soil erosion.

Most of the main crops of the world are eroding soils

at 200 tons per acre per year.

This cannot go on because top soil

is the basis of life on Earth.

If we look at the present world,

as a species, we've lost touch

with the natural systems

and industrialized agriculture goes against the laws

of nature and we are not separate from nature.

To find a solution, we have to look at nature.

And we have to build systems where humanity lives

that is 70% forest cover

because it's in the forests

that we truly learn and it's the forests

that help us to manage our soil's stability

and enable that soil to maintain its fertility.

The word permaculture comes from permanence

and agriculture but it naturally leads

to permanence in culture.

It's a system that focuses on solutions

rather than problems.

It's the art of working with natural systems

to creative productive ecosystems

that provide all the basic needs of humanity,

a design science that begins with ethics

and mimics natural systems

in any landscape, in any climate,

anywhere on Earth.

Permaculture is the way we go beyond sustainability

and into resilience.

通常人們認為水以三種形態存在：水蒸氣

液態水和冰

然而水還有另一種不為常人所知的狀態：冰VII。

今年3月份

地質學家發現地下深處的鑽石晶粒中存在水分子

認為地球內部的水可能比我們所了解的要多得多。

這項發現預示

不僅需要重新計算地球所擁有的總水量

還需要改變模擬熱量穿過地殼的方式及預測地震頻率的模型。

這項研究這引起了科研人員的關注

最新研究發現冰 VII是一種性質非常怪異的「冰」

可以以時速1610公里的速度瞬時形成並增長… 研究人員通過X射線衍射技術分析了從南部非洲、

中國、

薩伊和獅子山等地收集的鑽石樣品

結果發現鑽石中含有水。

雖然鑽石中的水分子被擠壓成固體形式的冰

但它們的存在是距離地球表面4700-5100公里處遠遠深於岩石圈的過渡層的液態水分子（地球一級分層：外球

來自過渡層的水分子在碳原子排列而成的金剛石晶體缺陷內存在

高壓擠壓水分子迫使它們排列成與傳統冰不同的結構。

不同的壓力可以將水分子約束排列成一系列不同的結構

稱為冰-VII

這是首次證明自然界中存在冰VII。

實驗表明

在地下高溫和10萬個大氣壓下冰VII可由均相成核或異相成核形成

但其成核機理仍是未解之謎。

最近

加利福尼亞州勞倫斯利弗莫爾國家實驗室研究人員通過設計的數學模型表明

在一定的壓力閾值下

冰VII以閃電般的速度（1000mph=1610km/h）向外延伸、

來自倫敦大學學院的科學家們在加拿大發現了迄今為止最古老的微生物化石。

研究人員是在Nuvvuagittuq地殼帶的石英層中發現的化石

下面就讓我們一起來一探究竟吧！ 我們身體內的水佔到體重的70%

所有生命過程都需要水。

我們內臟、

骨骼互相摩擦的地方

都有水作為潤滑劑。

而我們呼吸的氧氣

也來自於植物光合作用分解產生的水……人類離不開水。

不僅是人類

從青苔到蘑菇

從胡楊到松樹

從魚兒到駱駝

即使是最耐乾旱的細菌

也需要有水才能進行新陳代謝。

為什麼地球上的生命離不開水？這既是由於一系列機緣巧合

也是由於水自身的特殊性質。

生命起源和發展需要穩定的液體環境 如果拋開我們熟悉的生命形式不論

讓你重新設計一種生命

你會面對什麼問題呢？首先就是生命體的穩定性問題。

因為生命體必須具有一定的穩定性

並且能夠和周圍的環境分隔開來。

於是由氣體或等離子體組成的生命形式就被排除了。

因為氣體和等離子體狀態的物質太難以束縛

也很難在氣體團外圍生成和環境分隔的膜或殼

所以很快就會和周圍的物質混為一體。

而固體形態的物質

受到顆粒接觸表面積的限制

反應速度要麼非常快（比如黑火藥）

要麼非常慢（如放在牆角的煤

要過幾年煤的分子才能滲進牆裏去）。

這樣的反應速度

難以滿足生命新陳代謝的需要

因此也不太可能會產生生命。

氣體沒有明確的邊界

只有煙跡可以表明其流動方向 木星就是一顆氣態行星。

是木星大氣的旋渦。

它會是一種生命的形式嗎 一些科幻作家想像的固體生命

在沒有液體的環境中生命

通過和氣體反應來進行新陳代謝 「生命」的特徵有兩個

一是能夠繁殖自己

二是能進行新陳代謝。

如果不滿足這兩個條件

那麼這些幻想中的物體也不能稱之為「生命」。

生命要產生

最好的環境是液體環境。

首先

液體分子沒有固體顆粒表面積的限制

液體分子可以自由地接觸

因此化學反應的速度可以足夠快

也足夠均勻穩定。

其次

液體具有表面強力

可以自動形成小滴

（你可以觀察一下荷葉上的小水珠

或者把水滴入油中

就可以看到這樣的液滴）。

這就可能和周圍環境隔絕開

形成獨立的內部小環境。

而液體也具有足夠好的導熱性

原始生命在一個足夠大的範圍（比如海洋）內所接觸的溫度都是一樣的

有利於生命的穩定。

液體的分子可以自由接觸

反應速度足夠快 液體的分子可以自由接觸

反應速度足夠快 為什麼地球生命在液體水環境誕生？ 可是世界上的液體很多

為什麼我們熟悉的地球生命會在液體的水環境中誕生呢？ 這也許是一種巧合。

首先

我們這個星球的水恰好足夠多。

地球上的水約佔地球總質量的0.

05%

而且大多分佈在地球的表面。

這就給生命的誕生提供了充足的資源。

其次

地球所處的位置

離太陽不近也不遠

正好是水能以液態形式存在的區域

而其他的很多物質

在地球上要麼是氣體（如氫或甲烷）

要麼是固體（如硫）。

所以地球生命要誕生

能利用的液體環境也只能是水環境。

在生命誕生之前

地球上已經有了充足的水 .

這使得它足以勝任「生命之源」的角色。

1、

水是極好的溶劑 為什麼糖、

鹽、

味精在水中一會兒就溶解了？這來源於水分子的極性

能夠吸引其他帶電荷的分子或離子。

糖、

鹽的分子或離子經過水分子這麼一「拉」

自己內部的吸引力就減弱了。

因此水能迅速溶解很多物質。

除此之外

水還有一定的解離性

可以解離成氫離子和氫氧根離子（H2ODH＋＋OH）。

所以水可以和很多物質發生反應

甚至連堅硬的岩石也能被水「咬」得千瘡百孔。

這樣活潑的環境可以溶解足夠多的化學物質。

溶解於水的離子互相反應

大大擴展了生命的可能性。

美麗的溶洞

就是水溶解了岩石後形成的 2、

水分子具有極性 水的極性還使水很容易附着在帶電的物體上。

比如水就很容易和塵埃結合

我們看到的霧和霾就是水滴結合了塵埃顆粒形成的。

而水分子之間的吸引力

又使得滴在粘土和岩石上的水會沿着毛細血管一樣的小縫隙

把整個粘土或岩石中的細小空腔都填滿。

這種作用稱為毛細作用。

植物就是通過這樣的作用來把水分送到身體的每一部分的。

這些效應在生命的誕生階段尤其有意義。

也許最初的生命

就誕生於這樣不起眼的小水滴或小粘土塊中呢。

水的毛細作用使得水可以通過縫隙滲入岩石或粘土內部

而水銀就不行 3、

水為生命的誕生提供間接的「服務」 閃電就是這類「服務」之一。

地球大氣中有豐富的水

空氣要更容易被電離

閃電也更為頻繁

通過閃電產生有機分子的機會也就更多。

而像木星這樣大氣含水量低、

閃電發生少的星球

產生有機分子的機會就要少得多了。

濕潤的空氣有利於產生閃電 如果沒有水生命還能形成嗎？ 在地球上的液態水環境中

地球生命所依賴的蛋白質和核酸可以能夠扭曲、

摺疊成各種複雜的大分子結構

並保持這些結構的相對穩定

同時水的極性和弱解離性又讓這些大分子不會太過穩定

能夠與其它化學物質發生化學反應。

但宇宙中液態水存在的範圍是很小的。

在遠離恆星的地方

即使有水

也會凍住

而在靠近恆星的地方

水又會被汽化。

在液態水0～100℃的範圍之外

有什麼其他液體環境可能產生生命呢？ 美國生物學家和科普作家阿西莫夫提出

除了水之外

宇宙中氟矽氧烷

硫

氨

甲烷

氫五種物質在不同溫度下

也可以形成液體環境。

這些液體環境與液態水的環境類似

因此也可能誕生生命。

VS 冰冷的生命 滾燙的生命 冰冷的生命：比地球更冷一點的地方

氨可以變成液態。

1個標準大氣壓下

氨在-33.

4℃到-77.

7℃時處於液態。

液氨在宇宙中也很常見

比如像木星、

土星、

海王星

天王星上

就有豐富的氨。

如果這樣的行星離恆星的位置適當

就有可能存在液氨的海洋。

在更冷一點的環境中

氨也被凍住了

而甲烷則可能處於液態（在1個標準大氣壓下

在-161.

6℃到-182.

6℃時處於液態)。

如果要在甲烷環境下

生命的基礎就不是地球生命的核酸和蛋白質

而是脂類。

海王星的核由岩石組成

核外是富含氨、

水和甲烷的海洋 遊戲「失落星球3」中幻想的生活在寒冷中的外星生物 滾燙的生命：以上說的是溫度低於水的冰點的環境下可能產生的生命。

那麼

在溫度高於水的沸點時

比如在水星朝向太陽的一面（溫度高達400℃以上）

也會有生命分子存在嗎？在那種環境中

只有硫這樣的元素可能保持液態（115 ℃-445℃）。

而我們的蛋白質、

核酸這樣的碳氫化合物都已經被破壞了。

這液態的硫中

生命分子不能夠再以碳-氫化合物為基礎了

而更可能是碳-氟化合物。

在常溫下

碳氟化合物比碳氫化合物要穩定得多

並不適合參與化學反應。

但在高溫下

則可能表現出高的適應性和多樣性。

水星

它的表面是非常灼熱的 一顆距恆星很近的行星

其表面溫度會非常高 在更高的溫度下

以碳為骨架的大分子也不可能穩定存在了。

但是以矽、

氧原子

再加上碳原子組成的分子

則可能保持穩定。

這種物質稱為氟矽氧烷

或者稱「矽酮」、

「矽油」。

在地球上

它們非常穩定。

在液態的矽酮類環境中

矽酮類分子可能顯示出生命必須的變化性和多功能性。

以它們為基礎

就有可能產生高溫的生命。

Tonight we had some problems on both sides of the pitch and in midfield.

In the first half we were a little soft and we should have pressed more.

Usually you play better in the first half because you have more energy.

This time it went the opposite way, we let Milan play for the first 45 minutes and we pushed more in the second half.

We had some problems both on the right and on the left side.

We weren't moving the ball around, we were slow and I think a bit distracted as well.

While in the second half we played really well.

In the second half we created a lot of chances and I think we were a bit unlucky.

I think we lacked some accuracy when it came to shooting on goal.

We got significantly better and created a lot of chances.

I think we played a good second half but we need to get better and stay focused for the whole game.

I think we played well tonitght but I'm a little disappointed about the result.

We played some very good football in the first half and I'm very happy about that.

I would say we made a couple of mistakes going forward.

I was impressed with our performance in the first half but in the second we conceded too many chances.

We left too many open spaces in the last 30 minutes of the game but I know that our style of play can be very demanding.

As I said we're a bit disappointed but still very proud of our performance.

He's a curious guy, I can see he's very eager to learn and very passionate about his job.

He's always the first to arrive in the morning, he never stops working.

It's not hard to see that he's very happy to be here at Milan.

He's already getting along with his teammates and he shows great passion.

1st Grade Peeing Incident The Bella Twins are very close They are twins, after all During

a recent trip to the Tonight Show they revealed a story from their past that you won't see

on Total Bellas Brie Bella talked about a time when her sister didn't have her back

at all They were in first grade and there was some sort of a schoolplay where Brie had

to dress like a clown It was right before showtime but little Brie Bella had to potty

and there was no time However the show must go on Brie said that she was on the stage

and couldn't hold it anymore so she released her bladder Soon there was a mini-clown peeing

on the stage and all of the children went running Nikki said that's not my sister

and she took off with the rest of her peers She was a peeing clown Nikki exclaimed in

defense It sounds like The Bella Twins might have something to bring up in family therapy

Hi Friends welcome to C4E Wrestling News Roman Reigns Could Be Wrestling in WWE Again Soon

Roman Reigns might have left WWE to focus on his health on October 22nd, 2018 but he

seems to be doing much better now The Rock broke the news yesterday that The Big Dog

is playing his brother in the new Hobbs & Shaw movie Roman is also recovering from leukemia

and getting treatments Dave Meltzer mentioned Roman Reigns' new movie role during Wrestling

Observer Radio and discussed some information that he received from doctors when asking

about various forms of leukemia From talking to doctors and again WWE did not release any

information on what form of leukemia he has or a diagnosis but I did talk to doctors like

something if you had it years ago The nature of him coming back to play football afterward

and wrestle at a high level you know competing at a high level and coming back there is a

form that is not a deadly form so hopefully that is what he has I mean if it was the worst

form of leukemia he couldn't do the movie so it's I guess I expected with that form

he would be wrestling soon but I guess this confirms it so I think that's wonderful

news We are not 100% sure when Roman Reigns will be back in WWE because there is currently

no timetable for his return However the fact that he is still looking happy and healthy

is a great sign Hopefully our questions will be answered eventually but right now all fans

can do is patiently wait for Roman Reigns' return which seems more promising than ever

Guardiola wants to entertain Man City fans as streak continues - Duration: 2:41.

 Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City have a duty to attack to entertain the fans after the Blues continued a remarkable goalscoring streak against Burnley

 "We've won one title and we want to arrive in the right moment in the others. We need everybody
