Welcome to 2 minute neuroscience, where I explain neuroscience topics in 2 minutes or
less.
In this installment I will discuss the trigeminal nerve.
The trigeminal nerve is the main sensory nerve of the head.
It carries information about touch, pain, temperature, and proprioception, or the awareness
of the position of muscles and joints.
It also controls the muscles involved with chewing, as well as the tensor tympani, a
small muscle in the middle ear that helps to dampen the sound of loud noises, and the
tensor veli palatini, a muscle that both helps prevent food from entering the nasopharynx
during swallowing and opens a small tube called the eustachian tube, which connects the upper
throat with the middle ear.
This helps to equalize pressure between the middle ear and outside air.
The trigeminal nerve has three divisions, the opthalmic, maxillary, and mandibular divisions,
which supply three different regions of the head and face as seen in the image.
The opthalmic and maxillary divisions carry sensory information, while the mandibular
division has sensory and motor components.
There are three sensory nuclei and a motor nucleus associated with the trigeminal nerve.
They form a column of cells that reaches from the midbrain of the brainstem to the upper
spinal cord.
The main sensory nucleus receives information from the head about touch and proprioception.
The spinal trigeminal nucleus receives information about pain and temperature sensations.
The mesencephalic nucleus receives proprioceptive information from the jaw and teeth to prevent
damage while biting and chewing.
The motor nucleus controls the muscles of chewing and other muscles mentioned earlier.
Damage to the trigeminal nerve or its associated nuclei can cause varying levels of abnormal
sensation.
The patient may experience decreased sensation, increased pain, and/or weakening of the muscles
of chewing.
Trigeminal nerve damage can also lead to a condition called trigeminal neuralgia, in
which patients experience short but intense bouts of facial pain.

specifically the ground forces of Sweden

so let's start off with some of the basics and let's be perfectly honest to Sweden's army is one of the oldest if not the
Oldest unit in the entire Armed Forces of Sweden and not only that it's also classified as one of the oldest military
Groups in the entire world, of course what I mean? It's the oldest and still going on today the most
Continuously long military you get what? I mean? I'm not really good with these words things
I mean, maybe I should just give up on f.2d facts altogether
So for the unit they began in 1521
Which was even a year prior to the introduction of Sweden's official Navy now
Of course some of you people in Sweden you guys or people who know a lot about Sweden you may be saying yourself, okay
Oh, come on, Dave. No sweetens had an army from long before that and that is true
However, truth be told a lot of people just identify the founding date as the year of
1521 as it was the beginning of the Swedish war of liberation
Which was started when Gustav Vasa who actually also had a ship named after him known as the Vasa which by the way
I'm correct myself in my Navy video. It sunk on its you know inaugural voyage. At least that's what you guys were telling
But anyways, let's get back to the army
But for good stuff and his rebel group they decided they wanted to be their own government and fought against Denmark enorme
Nor may I mean Norway? Don't ask what happened there tonight really is called Norway nor may you
Know you read things and it just comes out so quick so I know one regions out there
I know there might be a few guys watching either way
this was a part of a group called the
Kalmar Union and Sweden didn't really want to be a part of that
Of course prior to 1521 Sweden did have land forces. They weren't really identified as an army
I mean you could classify the Vikings and their conquest of the world as
Pretty much a land force and even a naval force - that's right because those Norse ships were bad
And of course to give you very specific
Details about the army is kind of hard to do because it's hard to go back that far
But here is a list of some of the words that the ground forces of Sweden took part of for example in
1015 - 1018 there was the Norwegian Sweden or which happened again? Also 90 years later on top of that
there was also the Swedish Crusades - Finland which by the way a lot of people think that the first crusade which was in about
1150 ad a lot of people think that that was more or less a myth, but there was also a
Second swedish crusade that happened in 1249 and a third one happening in
1293 which during the third one there was a major attack of the Viborg castle in which land forces
Basically won the battle and sweden ended up ruling over Corellia for over
400 years as well moving a little bit more forward. There was also the Danish Swedish war which began in
1472 71 and probably one of the biggest ones to mention was the rush of swedish war from fourteen
Ninety five to fourteen ninety seven on top of that. There was also the second day
No swedish war that lasted from 1501 to 1512. And of course that is just a brief summary
There was a lot of wars that Sweden took part of but moving up to the Army's foundation date
Which is in 1521 during the Swedish liberation war it was estimated that during that time Sweden had approximately
12,000 troops now, I'm not sure if this is necessarily navy or ground forces
But I can estimate that a majority of them were on the ground and to give you an idea through out this war of liberation
They were against
27,000 troops and ended up winning the war with less than 4,000 casualties. So there you go
That's just a little bit of a history of kind of the army prior to
1521 however moving a little bit forward to 1814
This was a very important war because this was the last war for a long time that Sweden's army and other armed forces
Took part in offensive measures during a war as a matter of fact
The army was not realistically used in other countries around the world until 1961
This was known as the campaign against Norway
and as a matter of fact to give you an idea of all the wars that Sweden had been a part of that they currently
know including this war of
1814 and the liberation war of
1521 the Sweden army has been in no less than 26 Wars or engagements
And if you were to ask how many engagements Sweden has been a part of to Day?
2019 Sweden's army has been a part of at least 29 engagements throughout its history now, okay
I just want to roll this video back just a tiny tiny bit and I want to talk about World War one in World War
two first of all
I like to mention these two wars within all of my military videos
Simply due to the fact that a lot of people don't have an understanding of what Sweden was like during that
Time or those times the reason is because a lot of people have the idea that just because Sweden was neutral
It didn't do much throughout the war. I don't know that might be true
I think it's very important that we look at what Sweden was doing during the two biggest conflicts of the
20th century now due to what is known as the defense bill in 1914 Sweden up their army infantry
divisions from six to twelve and one of the hard things is to identify how many
Combat-ready troops that were available within Sweden during the First World War some reports have estimated that they had approximately
200,000 troops, but with also not enough supplies and people to lead them. It said that Sweden kept no more than
13,000 troops in arms
However, during World War one Sweden sent a lot of officers into the Western Front to learn the type of combat that was happening
But however, I should mention that during the Finnish Civil War. That was from January to May
19:18 there was approximately 200 officers and 400 NCOs that volunteered to assist Finland again
Not sure if that is army airforce and all that stuff
But you could probably guess that a majority of that is ground forces
Now of course world war ii came around and things were a lot different
They had a lot more heightened security as a matter of fact in my video about the Air Force
I was really impressed to find out that during that time Sweden had like the third largest air force in the entire world
but as for the army their numbers at their peak was approximately
300,000 troops now many of these troops were put along the coast and borders to prevent
Invasions and although it says that their numbers jump they believe that it never went below
25,000 troops but during World War two the army adopted weapons such as the
Kpis TM 45 which is basically their version of a submachine gun
There was also the well-known Sweden Mauser called for many the Guevara
M96 and as well the kgm 40 light machine gun all of these which of course were Swedish made
Interesting to know also during the beginning of the Second World War Sweden was still using a lot of horses for transportation
However, things didn't stay this way because in 1939 at the beginning of the war
They had one Armored Division with approximately 29 fighting vehicles or tanks
however, by the end of the war the amount of tanks and heavy armored vehicles they had grew to
795 quite a bit also during world war ii in
1940 they created what is now known as one of the largest groups within I guess the ground forces
but not necessarily the army of
Sweden and that is the Home Guard now these guys are pretty much your first responder as they respond to
catastrophes that happen within the country and of course they act as a reserve unit for Sweden and in today's will the Home Guard
alone has approximately
22,000 soldiers
Comprising of 40 battalions, but like I said, I'm just mentioning that because they are classified as a land force
But they're not theoretically part of the army department. One of their agent reasons is because they have two different commanders
I mean, they're all under one big command, but two separate ones that they answer to at least this is from my understand
This is work out a little bit confusing basically to go into details in 1975
The monarch of Sweden was the formal head of the army in today's world
However, it is Carl Engel Breton as for the army itself. It's said that in 2014
There was roughly 50,000 soldiers that are full-time and part-time
Which was also a goal. They wanted to achieve by 2020 during the Cold War
And the rest of the army conscription was a major part that accounted for 85% of the male's who were in service fYI
Conscription actually does exist today for all divisions within the Armed Forces and it's also applied to females as well
Also, although this isn't a major fact
but it is kind of important in 2018 Sweden did something with its army that it hadn't done in 40 years and that
Was a mobilization of all its forces in a test operation and this happened on June 6th
Which is also Sweden's National Day
Like I said, it's not really a mind-blowing fact because they just kind of went on patrols and did other sort of test operations
But it's good to know that Sweden is doing things to keep its army going but in today's world
Let's take a look at some of the different divisions that are within the army itself
Basically, one of the first ones that I want to talk about is the Life Guards, which is not what you think it is
It's not like Life Guards like, you know in a swimming pool. They're watching out for people. They're called The Life Guards
They are an actual army unit. These guys have been around since 2000 and they are classified as a Calvary infantry regiment
There's also the life regiment hussars, which is one of the oldest military groups in all of Europe
That's quite impressive
This group is classified as a light mobile unit, and they also have a paratrooper department and they've been around since at least
1536 on top of that there is the Scout Borg armored Brigade and many other infantry units
There is also the Norrbotten regiment which specializes in army infantry and commando arctic combat units
There is also air defense Artillery and the South Scania armored regiment also for the Special Forces SOG
You guys might be curious. Are these guys under the army?
well
Not necessarily
Because these guys operate directly under the supreme commander of Sweden's armed forces and that is General Michael Biden
Speaking of armored division's let's take a look at some of the vehicles that the army does use
Unlike other European countries that are phasing out tanks Sweden does have their very own version of the leopard 2a4 and the leopard
2a5 and these two are classified as the strip or strv
121 and the 122 and basically in total they say they have approximately
122 of all of these tanks on top of that they use the Parana 3c and the
Patriot AM V and the Patriot pass e as
armoured personnel carriers and if you've been paying attention to my previous videos
You would already know that the cv90 is their major infantry fighting vehicle, and it's made in Sweden. It's a good vehicle
and basically they have over the
354 of these alone. You got a lot of them and last but not least
Let's take a look at some of the actual handhelds that the army uses when we talk about the infantry of Sweden's army
they actually have two main rifles which are basically their own version of the
G3a3 known as the a k4 and their very own version of the fnc known as the a k5
They also have their own version of the light machine gun known as the FN minimi and the F and Maj
Or mag or ma G mag
I don't really know how to pronounce that but these are the KSP
58 and the KSP
90s and of course a bunch of other
Equipment that I'm not gonna go into because I just like talking about the main stuff
But either way guys, that is me looking at the Army of Sweden
I love going into some of the historical aspects as you know, and some of the modern aspects
So I hope you guys got a general understanding of this great military. Well military division, you know what I mean?

Welcome to today's workout today. I have another arms workout for you. There is no warmup get that in on your own
we're diving straight in to

L-sits you are in that reverse plank position. However, your butt is closer to the mat and you're just raising one leg at a time
You can have a slight bend in your knee but try to keep your legs as straight as you can
This workout is very short. So it's a little bit more intense, but I know you got this
Keep your body suspended in the air the whole time. This is what really challenges your arm
And as you raise your leg, you are working your lower abs a little bit. It's a two in one
You look good
There you go, just raise one leg at a time really focus on the muscles you're working
Your wrist should be underneath your shoulders very
Good you are still in that same position when we go into the single leg dips
One leg is bent and on the mat
The other leg is straight and you are dipping you are dipping by bending your elbows
Your booty touches the mat very briefly and you go straight back up into that starting position
This is an awesome
Movement for the back of your arms that area that likes to jiggle when you're trying to look cute in your tank top
This is the one
This workout is so awesome short, but very intense
Keep going go ahead switch legs
Don't worry this is the last movement in this position. We are going to switch in just a second
dip dip dip dip dip
There you go. Keep going make sure you're doing it when that timer stops
That was wonderful go ahead and flip over and now you're going to do shoulder taps
You are in a plank position and you're tapping one shoulder at a time abs are engaged
Do your best?
This move is going to work your arms. It's also going to work your abs
There you go go at your own pace your pace is good you showed up that is already awesome
Make sure your abs are sucked in
Keep your hips as low as you can manage all
You have to do is tap one shoulder at a time you can handle that. Oh
You're doing so good
Almost there. That was good. That was really good plank row rotations. You're going to drop into an elbow plank
Your elbows should be directly underneath your shoulders you twist and raise your arms to the ceiling
Make sure your core is engaged your abs should be tight and sucked in the whole time
With plank rotations your feet may slip a little bit as you're twisting from side to side
Pay attention to that and do your best to control your muscles
You're almost at the end of this workout already
I told you short intense, but so sweet
This is so good so good for your arms and your abs your core is getting worked
And it's your last real move for the day. We have one more mobility move after this and you're pretty much done
You're gonna get on your knees now and we're going to do a cat cow. You're going to simply flex your midsection
This is really important because we've done quite a few plank type movements you worked out today you did that
That should feel so amazing. You did it

For this year 5 series, there are 3 trims to choose from.
and 2 engine options.
for the base model, will be the 520d M sport priced at 3,499,000 thb
For hybrid version, there's 530e Highline, priced at 3,499,000 thb
But if you are interested in the hybrid version with full options, 530e M sport, priced at 3,899,000 thb
For the colours, it pretty hard to explain due to it combination with the seats, therefore, I'll show you on the screen.
But basically there're 6 colours to choose from, white, black, bronze, gold bronze, blue bronze and dark grey.
For the looks, I feel that it's cool and sporty looking as a BMW should.
But there are a couple of my friends, who feel that it hasn't change much from the previous generation.
I feel that might be the case but the technology inside this car isn't old at all.
What's interesting is on the grills right here, which opens automatically when it needs cooling.
It also helps with the car's aerodynamic.
All the air holes are usable except for these ones right here. Which can be seen as helping the aerodynamic as well.
The sides are, there are the 19 inches M sports diamond cut wheels. Which only comes with the top model.
The insides are black and silver in front.
If you look inside you will see the M sports brakes, which is very cool.
There are no extra designs on the brakes like in the Mercedes Benz E300
Here's the plug-in hybrid plug receiver.
And here are more air holes. Which helps with maintaining efficient fuel consumption.
Let's go to the back.
I like the like how they design the diffusers down here. These are actual exhaust, unlike some brands that are there for just the design.
The spoiler here is an extra options. Does not come with the car.
BMW 5 Series comes with hands-free excess. By just kicking the here.
Inside we will find the trunk space, which the load lift's a bit high, but the floor can be lift up like this to help you.
The reason it's so high is because this is where the hybrid battery is store.
More storage on the sides. Left and right
2 hooks here. And 1 12V reciever here.
But this car cannot fold the back seats which can be a problem when you need the space. Unlike the E Class.
When it comes to actually load the trunk, everything is fine, especially when the floor is lifted up. Golf bags are fine too.
Closing is also automatic.
For the charging plug, it would be stored in a bag like this.
You can charge the car by pushing here and plug it in
Charging takes about 3-4 hours at home, which gives you about 30km on electric alone.
Fast charging station takes about 2.5 hours.
But as the receiver is in front of the car, you would have to park your car head first which can be unusual for some of you.
For the key, it's a touchscreen, which I feel is a little gimmicky
The interior of the 5 Series may be familiar to people who have used a BMW. But there are certainly improvement in terms of the technology inside.

But, it does give a more of a casual feels towards the car.
The quality of the materials and the built quality are obviously extremely well crafted.
Everything is extremely tight and solid. The leather are soft to the touch.
For the storage, here we have 2 cup holders. Fits a 1 litre bottle.
Wireless charger inside here. And also a 12v charger.
But it has the same problem as the E class which is it's difficult to get into.
The door side storage also fits a 1-litre bottle.
Which is great and also great storage here as well.
The middle compartment here, there are some space, a usb receiver and 12v.
As for the i-drive system, it is still my favourite infotainment system
It is well organized and fast.
There are a lot of ways to control the i-drive, the knob here with writable surface, hand gesture control
The steering wheel is a multi-function steering wheel. You can control most of the things from here too.
the left side is for the brake cruise control, which isn't the adaptive cruise control.
I don't really enjoy the leather on the seats, for me I feel that it's quite rough and hard.
Personally, I like the Mercedes and the Camry leather better than this.
Features, that only comes with the top model include, sunroof (not panoramic), Harman Kadon stereo
Which isn't the best BMW can offer, as BMW in other countries will receive the Bower and Wilkins sound system.
The 360 surround camera only comes with the top model as well. It also tell you the safe distance for your door.
Soft close system on the doors does not come with safety stop. Which can be dangerous for younger kids.
You can close the door softly and let the soft close system take over.
There is plenty of space here in the back seat.
As well as the head and knee space.
There's armrest in the middle here. Including cup holders.
The compartment here is also spacious.
The door side compartment can fit 2 1-litre bottles.
Aircon here and some small compartment here. Also 2 12v receivers.
Manual curtains here and here.
The engine of the BMW 5 series 530e is a 2000cc engine , 252 horsepower, 420 newton metre torque and 0-100 in 6.2 seconds. Weight at 1.77 tons.
Comparing to the E class at 1.92 tons. But how will does it compare when driving.
For the driving experience you'll get from this car.
I feel that it's a great car to drive, it is extremely smooth during gear change.
You might want to let the car do its own thing since it is extremely efficient in doing so.
The transition from electric to fuel is also smooth, you can't really feel it in the car.
I could say that there are no noise coming into the car, which gives you a pleasant driving experience.
The car handle turns very well, as a BMW should do.
Now the things that I don't particularly enjoy, the suspension of this car isn't an airbag suspension which helps with the smoothness of the ride.
Therefore, bumps and holes greatly affect the ride inside this car.
Driving modes, include eco pro, comfort and sport.
Which locks the interface screen right here
For the comfort mode, it tells you the power consumption rather than the engine rev.
And you cannot change it.
The modes only change the weight of the steering wheel and the engine.
Unlike the Mercedes, where it would also change the suspension and also the traction.
The head-up display tells you enough information. Including maps and notifications.
Other things that should have come with the car include blind spot assist and the adaptive cruise control.
Adaptive cruise control is one of the things in life that when you have experienced it, you can't go back.

It's a good car with great driving. Great in turns and extremely smooth gear transitioning.
But, when it comes to features and functions. We've lost adaptive cruise control and adjustable suspension.
Not getting the Bower and Wilkins is also a bummer.
And other small details such as sunroof which isn't panoramic, non-foldable backseat and the lack of blind spot assist.
Hence, overall, this car is still far away from being perfect.

[ENG SUB] How to paint lovely pets | a Cat(Ragdoll) and a Feather - Duration: 4:53.
Hello everybody!
I'm back with a new video
and I'll be talking you through the steps for the very first time.
Today, I'm going to paint a cat and a feather.
Before I start, let's go through the colors I'll be using.
Here is a simple color chart I've created.
The first one is cerulean blue. It is going to be used for the eyes of the cat.
The next three colors are various browns Raw Umber, Burnt Umber, and Vandyke Brown.
I'll use these colors for painting the cat's dark fur.
The next color is Rose Madder.
I diluted it with lots of water to create a pale pink.
It will be used for the cat's nose,
around the cat's eyes, and mouth to make it more realistic.
The last color is the combination of Ultramarine Deep and Vandyke Brown.
This results in a very dark color
which I'll use for the pupil of the eyes and the flaps.
For this painting, I'll be using two different-sized brushes.
I'll mostly be using Da Vinci's Petit Gris Mix, brush number 8, for general use,
and BABARA's series 20R, number 4, for the details.
The paper I'll be using is Canson's Moulin du Roy 300g cold pressed,
which is made of 100% cotton.
Well, then. let's get started.
To begin, I'll paint the cat's eyes using Cerulean Blue.
It is a base color, so I'll be adding lots of water to the paint.
As I mentioned before,
I'll mix Ultramarine Deep and Vandyke Brown to make a very dark color for the pupils of the cat.
For the pupils, I usually leave some spaces as highlights to bring out the life in the eyes.
Now, I'll paint its pink nose.
To create a pale pink, I'll take a bit of Rose Madder
and mix it with lots of water.
The species of the cat I'm painting is called Ragdoll.
It has a patch of fur between the eyes and the ears.
For these parts, I'll paint a very thin layer of Raw Umber.
You should be able to see the sketch line under the paint.
After painting this base color,
I'll add some dark brown to depict the fur around its eyes.
I'll mainly use Burnt Umber but also mix other colors
like Rose Madder and Ultramarine Deep to make the picture more fun.
It's time to paint the cat's ears. I'll be mixing a very dark brown again.
I'll start by painting the edge of the ear flap first,
then pull the color inward using a brush dampened with clean water.
Now, I'll paint the feather.
I'll leave the center of the feather unpainted,
and use very thick paint around the stem of the feather and then pull it outward.
Doesn't the cat look cute already?
Lastly, for the whiskers, I'll be using a smaller brush.
After marking the position of the whiskers,
I'll use a craft knife to scratch the details out.
For the fur inside the ear, I'll do the same.
The painting is now finished.
