Youtube daily report Apr 16 2017

PATRICK TATOPOULOS: The Batmobile, the Batcave, his house,

his manor are cultural icons.

Which designer out there doesn't want to design the Batcave?

So this is where I really focus my attention.

The sense of legacy is there,

but when I started to design the cave, I thought,

"Wouldn't it be cool if this one was actually not grand,

"but was squished, really oppressing,

"and that these buildings were actually trying to fit within the cave?"

The main goal was that form follows function.

Build less and you express more.

We built 3D models because that's still one of the best mediums

to explain an idea.

But it was a challenge of building these different vignettes,

cram it in one stage,

and still leave enough space for the actors and all the shots.

Welcome to the Batcave.

This is obviously the early stages.

This is not a glacier,

this is actually the rockface in the cave.

We're gonna have to seal it, paint it, and make it look super real.

It's pretty fun.

TATOPOULOS: Most of the caves in bat movies are usually gigantic and beautiful.

Here you'll see the ceiling of the cave going down

and be very, very crushed onto the building.

So you'll feel like you barely have the space to live in there.

It feels like Bruce Wayne put his building wherever it fits.

The cave is a huge catacomb.

The whole idea was that you create cubes.

Everything is basically enclosed

except the turntable and the shop for the Batmobile.

The hallway, the armoury, the lab is enclosed in glass and concrete.

It's very modernistic.

Everywhere you look, you see the extension of the cave,

what is always behind panels of glass.

It's very open.

Although you're in a crazy cave, you never feel claustrophobic in here.

If you look at the set, every structure is actually floating.

It's attached a very low footprint on the cave.

It may be hanging,

but there is no big pillar that seems to be floating in the air.

This is Bruce Wayne's lab. We're actually controlling it from here.

A lot of times, actors are staring at green screens

and trying to act out what scene in the story is about.

But we help provide a live experience

that really helps the directors inform where an actor can react to,

in terms of the action on the scene.

This is the main station. This is where he works most of the time.

The only thing that actually touches the ground is the chair.

At one point I felt,

"Does it make sense to have you actually suspended on the swing?"

It made no sense at all.

So the chair is the only thing that touches the ground.

What you see here is the mech suit getting fixed.

Put together, and that's the table he uses for that.

Every tool is here, and he works on fixing the suit.

So this table can actually slide and get closer to the suit if needed.

<i>Every table in here travels left and right, forward, backward.</i>

JEREMY IRONS: Very clever design.

You can believe the construction, the way it hangs from the ceiling.

You can believe you're there under Wayne Manor.

You can believe the lake.

TATOPOULOS: Here we are at the water level.

<i>So this looks quite deep 'cause it's dyed.</i>

But actually this is the depth.

My fingers are touching the bottom now.

Like three inches of water.

I think it's important that the bridge dives into darkness quickly,

and we try to not make it too bright, so we keep a little mystery there.

And when he dives into the darkness, we have the Batwing sitting here.

The Batwing is suspended, as we talked about, almost like a bat,

every object here is reminiscent of the concept of a bat.

Everything is suspended.

I think the whole language has been going on everywhere in this cave.

That's what makes me happy.

We're actually able to push it all the way.

One big thing about this cave,

there's very little material that's been shot here

that requires CGI extension.

There will be CGI work for the laser,

but the actual cave itself, maybe 98% of the angles don't require CGl.

What you see is what you get.

That's what's in the movie.

MAN: This is a rock of Kryptonite.

It's about to be "laser cut" by this fantastic laser ray.

DOUG HARLOCKER: This weighs over 800 pounds. It's not a light thing.

It takes a bunch of people,

lot of technology to get us into the Batcave.

We designed it, fabricated every single inch of it.

Some of the materials we used in making the laser were metal and plastics,

and a lot of paint finishes

to make it look like it's fumed or burnt,

like the heat has really affected the metal.

And this is what fires the laser.

In order to make this look like a real laser

<i>'cause it's just</i> a <i>prop,</i>

the lighting department and the grip department...

You run fluorescent tubes from the rock to the tip of our laser, essentially,

and with a little bit of smoke and some lightning strikes,

(Episode 12)

Hyeyeong, what's wrong?

There's something in my eye.

What happened?

Mom, what's this about?

Well, that woman said

I took her ring.

You and I were the only ones there.

So where did my ring go?

It's just weird.

Mom,

tell me what happened in detail.

But how do you know each other?

You don't know her?

She's the landlord. The infamous landlord.

Infamous?

I mean, she said it was her cafe's grand opening,

so I thought I should be nice and help her out.

And I was doing the dishes,

and she suddenly said her ring was missing

and started interrogating me

in front of everyone.

I've never seen any such ring.

Why are you making me seem like the weird one?

You think I lied about having a ring?

- Mom. / - Operation makes the thief.

Mom, it's "opportunity makes the thief."

If you give it back now, I'll forgive you.

Give it to me if you took it.

- Mom! / - I said I didn't take it!

Then explain to me what happened.

Where did my ring go? Where?

You're the only one who could've taken it.

Is this the ring?

It was stuck on your coat.

This is the ring, right?

Wait, why was this...

Why was this on my back?

Mom, why didn't you check first?

I had no idea my ring would be stuck on my back.

Look here!

Oh my god.

What did you take me for?

Apologize.

I said apologize!

I mean, how could anyone know

the ring would be on their back?

I'm sorry, my mother was...

Stay out.

Please, sir.

Apologize to my mom.

You framed my mom

for stealing without any evidence.

You gave her indescribable distress

and insulted her by destroying her character.

Moreover, in front of third parties,

you seriously damaged my mom's reputation.

You've committed defamation of character.

Apologize to her right now.

She has no character to defame.

Mom.

What was that?

What did you just say?

I did that because I didn't know.

People make mistakes.

So why are you so upset about this?

I said apologize

before I sue you for defamation!

What? Sue?

Look here, young lady!

She's a lawyer.

She's not bluffing.

As if being a lawyer is all that special.

I'm sorry. Let me apologize on her behalf.

My mother made a huge mistake.

But still,

suing feels a bit excessive.

I said stay out of this, sir.

Go ahead and sue. Do it if you want.

Hyeyeong, sue her.

A woman like her needs to be taught a lesson.

Okay, mom.

I'll file a complaint tomorrow.

What?

Go ahead. Do it.

Yes, I will do it.

Just you wait!

You all seem overly excited by all this.

Please calm down.

You're reacting way too emotionally.

Being reasonable is...

Honey.

- Honey! / - Dad?

What happened?

What's going on?

Goodness, are you okay?

Are you in too much shock to walk?

I'm fine. Let's go home.

Okay.

There's a cab over there.

Let's go, mom.

Like mother like daughter.

I mean, people make mistakes.

How dare she attack someone much older than her?

The mom and daughter are both mean and impolite.

You branded her mom as a thief.

I would've reacted the same way.

And she's smart, sharp

and pretty.

You call that pretty?

I thought you had good taste, but I guess not.

Let's go. My car's over there.

Are you okay?

Why won't your dad answer my calls?

Is that landlord crazy?

How dare she accuse mom of stealing?

Maybe she left decency in her mom's womb at birth.

Hyeyeong,

can you take any legal action against her?

This is slander.

It's not slander,

but we can sue for defamation

since it happened in front of a third party.

Then sue her right now.

Don't get too excited.

At least she found her ring.

This could've been much worse.

She would've kept me there all night.

Why didn't you tell me she was the landlord?

Why? You know her?

No.

You don't need to. Don't ever get to know her.

She's barely a person.

Alright.

I can see how people can jump to conclusions,

though not all who jump to conclusions do that.

It was a very expensive diamond ring,

so yes, I can understand

if I tried really hard with all my patience.

But she should've apologized.

Any decent human being would've apologized.

That's what I'm trying to say!

Wow, you're a great lawyer.

I've never met anyone like her in my whole life.

I freak out whenever I see her.

She doesn't have an ounce of decency,

she's unrefined, uncouth,

uncivil, and uneducated.

Remember? Who says "Operation makes the thief"?

Mom, why did you go there and do the dishes?

She begged me, saying she couldn't find help.

Wait, she didn't beg.

She said it over the phone and hung up.

So why did you go there and do the dishes?

Stupid people think if you keep being nice to them,

it's their right.

Mom even gave out flyers for her.

Mom!

Okay, I'm sorry.

I'm never going to talk to her again.

Good. Don't ever talk to her again.

I will do all the maintenance

and cleaning for the building.

Don't do any maintenance or cleaning.

Just pay more rent. Why do stuff like that?

It's okay.

I used to do the maintenance in the first place,

and the help you got us

is doing the cleaning right now.

I don't like it, but a contract is a contract.

I know. We signed that contract.

I'll review that contract.

You said there were customers there?

Mom, how many customers were there?

That's important for a defamation suit.

I think two.

But Hyeyeong, I'm not happy,

but there's no need to sue.

Right. I'm not comfortable with that either.

But thanks to you,

I felt really good and proud. Not a bit stressed.

"Apologize!"

"Before I sue you for defamation!"

When you said that,

I felt fearless.

I felt so reassured.

Thanks.

I'm glad.

But I'm not letting this go.

Even if we don't sue,

I will make her apologize.

Yeongsil, do you have some anchovies...

Why are you sitting there together?

Mom!

Why didn't you answer your phone?

What are you talking about after barging in here?

When your wife calls you four times,

you should answer it

because something might be wrong.

Oh, don't overreact.

You're in the wrong here, dad.

It might have been an emergency. Why didn't you answer?

What is it?

Did something happen?

I called because something happened.

I'm coming from the police station.

Do you know

how lonely and embarrassed I was?

But the whole thing was your fault!

Why did you jump to conclusions and accuse someone?

And why didn't you apologize?

You found your ring, so you should've apologized first.

But son, why are you so mad...

But I really thought

she took it.

Now I see what happened.

You accused an innocent person of stealing.

You rushed into suspecting someone.

You weren't any better!

Why do you both have to mess up my life?

Geez, when did I ever mess up his life?

I can't believe him.

Who did you frame this time

to end up at the police station?

Why are you so rash?

Can't you behave yourself?

How can you say such a thing?

If your wife says she was at the police station,

you should worry and ask

if she's okay or if she's in shock.

But you say I'm rash?

That I should behave myself?

Why are you screaming?

What do I mean to you?

You should behave more like my husband!

I can't believe I called a man like that

my husband and devoted 40 years of my life to him.

What a waste...

My life was in vain...

Your call is being forwarded to an automated...

She won't pick up.

She's angry.

She has every right to be angry.

I'm sorry about my mom. (Cracker)

I apologize from the bottom of my heart.

Of course you should be sorry.

But the woman in question must apologize.

(Real Estate Lease Agreement)

She read it. It says she did.

She read it, but there's no reply.

She's really angry.

How am I supposed to resolve this?

The water's only on your side.

Give me a second.

I have more hair than you do.

- How's that? / - Good.

Let me join you.

Hyeyeong, use mom's bathroom.

- Junyeong must be done. / - He's still in there.

Still? Is he constipated?

Be quiet. Let me have that.

You're a total bully!

Why do you keep coming back home?

You think I want to come home?

Things keep happening every day.

Mom, let me have that. My eyes sting.

Here.

Hurry! I'm late!

Be quiet!

You're hurting my ears.

You're the one who cut in!

Okay, fine. Here.

It was nice and quiet, but you're back at it again.

Junyeong's driving you. Take your time.

Why didn't you tell us that sooner?

Hyeyeong!

Congratulations on getting their blessing.

How do you feel?

A bit confused.

When are you introducing her to us?

Father told me to invite her over,

so she'll come and visit us.

What does she do?

She's an office worker.

She's pretty good at what she does.

Really?

So why would someone like her date you...

How old is she?

She's your age.

31?

Whoa.

Is she pretty?

She's really pretty.

He says she's pretty.

How about her personality?

She's really kind. She's an angel.

I doubt that.

How can a really kind woman come alone

and meet our mom and dad?

Well, that was because I kept stalling

and didn't tell them about her.

You're siding with her already?

What does she like about you?

My good looks, perhaps?

Don't wake me up.

(Cracker)

Why aren't you answering?

It's spam.

You've been getting spam calls since yesterday.

Please pick up.

Your call is being forwarded to...

- You're up? / - Yes.

Where's mom?

"Warning.

You keep refusing to act like my husband,

so I'm going to stop acting like your wife.

I can't stand your personnel attacks anymore.

You're on your own now.

Cook for yourself and do the dishes.

I'm not doing the laundry or the cleaning.

You think it's easy?

Let's see how long you last."

Did you read it?

She wrote "Personnel attacks."

I asked you to be nicer to mom.

I went to her grand opening like you told me to.

You're playing favorites

just because she's your mom.

Whatever. I have too much on my plate.

Solve your problems yourself.

What?

Did I ask you to make me ramen?

Forget it.

I can take care of

cooking and cleaning. No problem.

Let me see.

How do you make this?

You're not calling?

You're not going to renew?

Seven years of working together down the drain.

Fine. I was going to end it, too.

Entertainment agencies are a dime a dozen now.

But still, this is too easy.

It's too simple, isn't it, Al?

Why won't you eat?

You're too worried about me to eat?

Eat.

I'm fine.

I've been a celebrity for a long time.

Al, I can make enough money to feed you,

so don't you worry about anything and eat. Okay?

Enjoy.

Huh? He's really not going to call me?

Fine. I can go to another agency.

Is it good?

How can you eat at a time like this?

(Judo)

I'm on standby at the office.

Call me if you need anything.

Fine. Be on standby all you want.

(Director Kang Wuseok)

That's right, you should be the one to call first.

What could you want with me?

Mr. An,

can you come by the office right now?

I thought you were in, but you're not.

Actually,

I have personal business, so I can't come in today.

Oh, you'll come in immediately?

Oh, great.

What? What are you talking about?

I can't let this go

without an apology.

Hello? Hello?

Mr. Ryu is here. Hurry over.

Mr. Ryu?

The director of "Oh, My Boss"?

Why? Why is he there? Why?

To see you.

He even brought a revised proposal.

Hurry up.

I'll be right there. Give me 15 minutes...

No, give me 10 minutes. Wait.

Calm down, Junghui.

Don't get ahead of yourself.

Mr. An, you're here.

It's been a while, Junghui.

Yes, I guess it has.

- Let's sit down. / - Sure.

Sit, sit.

I thought long and hard before I came to see you.

For this project...

(Oh, My Boss)

I want to work with you.

I know

we hurt your feelings.

But I'd like you to review this.

I've made some revisions.

It's not the leading role from before.

But it's a significant second leading role.

It's a very strong role.

Wasn't there an article on Oh Jaehan playing that?

So I'm a replacement?

Hey, why phrase it like that...

You're not a replacement.

Think of it as the right man getting the role.

It was like a journey to find the right man.

Talk about a rough journey.

The journey was rough,

so the rest of it will be a walk in the park.

Let me make you a formal offer.

Please join the project.

Yes.

Let me use the restroom.

It's not easy to put everything behind me,

but since you came all the way here and asked.

I'll suppose I'll do it.

Alright, good thinking, Junghui.

Let's do this.

You won't be disappointed.

How are you getting along with that man?

Has there been any development?

Well... Yeah...

It'll greatly help your emotions while acting.

I hope you'll keep seeing him

and build a relationship for the sake of our drama.

Yes, I'm doing it slowly.

Kick and pass.

I'm not watching him.

He keeps appearing in front of me.

I don't want to see him, so why is he doing that?

Rayeong, it's spring.

You're not dating anyone?

Do you have a type?

I don't.

But everyone has a type.

Come in.

Good.

Go back to your position. Here's the ball.

Oh, no! Rayeong!

Rayeong, are you okay?

Are you okay? What do we do?

Are you alright?

Look at her! What do we do?

Oh no! What should we do?

(Nurse's Office)

Get up.

You've been here for two hours.

You can only stay here for an hour.

I still have a headache.

Then you should go home.

No. I'm expecting someone.

Just 30 more minutes.

Whoa, Mr. Park Cheolsu is unbelievable.

I ended up here because of him,

but he won't even call to ask if I'm okay.

Moreover, he won't even come and visit me.

He's a terrible person.

Is that him? He's here?

Director, what are you doing here?

You're not feeling well?

Darn it, it's not Park Cheolsu.

I heard someone's been living at the center.

There's a bed here,

so I wondered if anyone lives here.

Here?

No.

I lock the door when I go home.

You do?

Then where could it be?

I should go on guard duty tonight.

Anyway, thank you.

- Sure. Goodbye. / - Bye.

(Coach Park Cheolsu)

Even if you don't come, you should at least

text me and ask if I'm doing okay.

Why should I give him this kind of tip?

Forget it. Whatever.

Who cares if he gets caught?

Please leave.

I kept you waiting too long, didn't I?

My parents were pretty angry with me.

I'm sorry.

I should've waited until you told them,

but I felt anxious.

No, don't be.

I should've told them.

I made you do that, Yuju.

I'm sorry.

I've missed you.

Me too.

Y-Yuju,

my parents invited you over.

Then I'll definitely go see them.

Let's go.

Any time is okay with me.

How about this weekend?

Okay.

How many siblings did you say you have?

You said you have a little sister, right?

I have

three little sisters.

Three?

That's a lot.

But they're all very kind.

You don't have to worry about them.

I'm sure you'll be able to

get along like sisters and friends.

The eldest one can be a bit aggressive,

but she treats the family great.

As for the youngest one,

you just need to keep your eyes on your stuff.

The second one is really kind and sweet.

She's a lot like me.

Ah, I see.

Wait, how about your family?

I should meet your parents, too.

There's no need.

What? What do you mean?

I don't have parents.

What?

You mean they both passed away...

I see.

Yuju, you've met them, so you must know.

My mom and father

will treasure you like you're their own daughter.

Like their daughter?

And I will treat you even better.

You can trust me.

We'll live happily ever after.

Okay.

So I've typed up some plans.

(Junyeong & Yuju, 10-year plan)

Number one, pass the civil worker exam.

After you pass it,

number 2,

when the baby is born,

I'd like you to get

paternity leave sometime next year.

At my job, it's not easy to get maternity leave.

Civil workers have fewer issues with that.

Is that okay?

Uh, yes.

Thank you.

And number 3.

About housing.

Do you have a subscription savings account?

I don't.

You don't?

Fortunately, I do.

Let's use that to apply

for an apartment for newlyweds as soon as possible.

Hey.

You're going in there?

Yes.

Their coffee is outrageously expensive,

and it tastes terrible.

And the owner is totally rude.

I know because I've had coffee here.

- You're students? / - Yes.

Then you should be frugal with your money.

Try digging the ground.

Can you get $5?

- Don't go in. / - Thank you.

Mom, why are you sitting here?

Get up, please?

Get up, mother.

What if the owner comes out?

Who cares?

I'm doing this so that she'll see me.

But mom,

she owns this building.

That witch!

She accused your big sister of stealing.

Their personal gain is

more important than your sister's honor?

Mother, our lease will be up next year.

With the money we have,

we can't find an apartment like this one.

This isn't for personal gain.

It's for the greater good, mother.

I guess I've been sitting here too long.

Ouch...

Mom?

It keeps bugging me.

If I call him, he'll think I'm holding on.

Forget it.

Man! You won't pick up?

Forget it, then.

His loss.

He didn't get caught already, did he?

(Director on guard tonight for person living at center)

Why won't he read it? This is nuts.

On top of marking the central area,

play various roles as a bridge between

offense and defense.

- Got it? / - Yes.

That's it for tonight.

I'll see you next week.

- Thank you. / - Bye.

Right now.

The director is going around the center.

If you're alive, run over.

Huh? He read it.

Huh? This is the floor with the night duty office.

This is nuts.

If he read it, where is he?

The director is on the night duty office floor.

(Night Duty Office)

Darn it. What do I do?

It's me, director.

Ms. Byeon?

I didn't know you'd be here.

I'm sorry! I've had my reasons!

What do you think you're doing?

I told you over and over again

not to live at the center

at our meeting!

I'm sorry. I had reasons...

Ms. Byeon Rayeong,

you can't keep doing things like this.

Okay?

You have the lowest enrollment numbers

and on top of that,

you've ignored the center rules.

So why should we keep you on?

I'm going to keep an eye on you.

Ms. Byeon Rayeong, you've been warned.

If you do something like this again,

I can't guarantee

I'll renew your contract.

This is crazy.

(Oh, My Boss)

It's a miniseries.

I finally have the script of a miniseries.

Let's do this right. I can do this.

Fah...

Fath... Darn it.

Father.

Someone's asking for you. A man.

Oh, that's not it.

Father.

Fath... Father.

Someone's asking for you.

A man.

This isn't it. This is crazy.

Father...

Father.

Who is it?

Food delivery.

(You keep getting delivery)

(I think you'd prefer this)

If he was going to stop, why did he start?

Did he think I'd go,

"Oh, this is how much you love me"

if he brought me food a few times? Man.

He thinks life is so easy.

Has there been any development with him?

I hope you'll keep seeing him

and build a relationship

for the sake of our drama.

Whatever. I just need to do a good job.

I just need practice.

Her soup bowl.

Hurry over.

Let's eat.

- Thank you. / - Thank you.

Come home early tonight.

Junyeong's girlfriend is coming over.

Tonight? That's fast.

Why push it off?

What time is she coming?

Mom invited her for dinner, so at 6 o'clock.

Six? That's early.

I'm not sure if I can come by that time.

If you're busy, you don't have to be here.

There's no pressure.

Hyeyeong, you've been coming here a lot,

so shouldn't you go to your friend's apartment?

And Miyeong, you have a job, so don't try too hard.

Rayeong, don't you have plans for tonight?

Why? You're trying to keep us away because

you're afraid we might be mean to her?

You know what you're doing

makes me want to show up on time, don't you?

Yes, I want to take the afternoon off and come.

What does she like?

It's her first visit, so I should go shopping.

She likes just about everything.

But most of all,

she likes ribs, mussel and seaweed soup, eels,

perilla soup, mung bean jelly with soy sauce,

fish cake with glass noodles, fermented skate,

mung bean sprouts, stir-fried beef,

broccoli in soybean paste, lotus root

in perilla and parsley sauce...

Oh, boy.

Being the son of a father who dotes on his kids.

So you dote on your girlfriend.

I can't believe you actually answered her.

But she asked.

I was worried you might worry about the food.

Oh, sure. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

(Oh, My Boss)

An Junghui's doing that.

"Oh, My Boss."

Chap Popekin and Cheese Chagok

are watching a movie called Power Weight

with Rachmaninoff's piano concerto.

Mr. An, congratulations.

You scared me.

I just heard from Mr. Kang.

Congratulations.

You were worried about doing a daily drama,

but you got another chance with a miniseries.

I will do my best

while you do the miniseries

and help you in every way I can!

I will keep making efforts!

- Hey, Judo. / - Yes!

You're really loud.

I'm sorry. I was so excited.

I'll watch out.

And I haven't officially

accepted you as my manager just yet.

Right.

Anyway, since you're here, so go sit over there.

- Over there. See that chair? / - Yes.

Seoul Metropolitan City,

Patent Department's Mr. Heo...

I'm sitting down.

What should I do?

Search online for my name.

There'll be an article about "Oh, My Boss."

Let me know if it shows up.

Yes, sir.

Peter Piper picked...

Picked a peck of pickled peppers.

A peck of pickled...

It's not up yet.

She sells seashells by the seashore.

Chap Popekin and Cheese Chagok

are watching a movie called Power Weight

with Rachmaninoff's piano concerto.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck

if a woodchuck, if a woodchuck

could chuck wood?

It's up!

It is?

(An Junghui replacing injured Oh Jaehan for Oh My Boss)

Why did they make it look like a replacement?

They're so dense.

(Comments)

What? There are no comments?

Uncle,

the key to being a fanatic is information.

(An Junghui replacing injured Oh Jaehan for Oh My Boss)

I've been so preoccupied I didn't visit him.

I wonder if he was expecting me.

Taebu,

what's all this?

Commenting job.

You'll get used to it.

I've got my hopes up for him this time.

The role's actually perfect for him.

I can't wait to watch you work.

An Junghui? Refreshing change of pace.

The writer is nice.

The new actor seems pretty good, too.

Hello.

Hi, Intern.

Art Team wants some help.

Ms. Kim Yuju asked for you.

But...

I'm posting comments for Mr. An right now.

That's not urgent.

Do it later and go to Art Team.

How come there are no customers?

Oh, and no one's applying for the job.

Oh my god.

Can you not slam the door?

Where are your manners?

Manners? I'm relieved.

You know what manners are,

so this conversation won't be too hard.

Apologize to my mom.

Why would I apologize?

From my point of view, my actions were justified.

But isn't it all over?

My mom likes hydrangeas

and blueberry cheesecake,

so get those for her.

You are unbelievable.

Why do I have to get them?

Go and apologize to her.

I refuse.

You leave me no other choice

but to sue you.

(Complaint) We'll see you in court.

I see a security camera over there.

In case you didn't know, let me explain.

For defamation of character, audience,

in other words, attendance of a third party

or witnesses is needed.

You had two customers there, didn't you?

So? Will you apologize?

Or will you see us in court?

I can't believe you.

Are you threatening me right now?

No, I'm just letting you know.

I'm sorry, but you

know nothing about manners or etiquette.

I can use all my patience to think

it was all a silly misunderstanding,

but you should've apologized when you found the ring.

Isn't that what any decent human being would do?

Apologize right now.

I refuse!

So we'll see you in court.

And I scanned this building,

and I spotted illegal extensions and rebuilding.

Did you know that about the rooftop and veranda?

Well, that kind of extension and rebuilding

happens in just about every...

And about the maintenance of this building.

The $500 you demanded.

I'll pay it, so you maintain the building.

What are you talking about?

The contract says...

That's why I told you

about the illegal extension and rebuilding.

Starting next month, I will

wire you $500 a month to your account,

so hire someone for maintenance and cleaning.

And stop harassing my parents.

Look here, you think being a lawyer gives you power?

Is it okay to threaten those older than you?

Yes! I do it when the person deserves it.

Don't ever treat my mom like the cleaner,

and don't ever see her or harass her again.

Have I made myself clear?

I can't believe how rude she is.

My gosh.

Fine. You win.

Talk about being petty.

Fine. Let's do that.

Wire me $500.

I'll maintain the building.

Okay.

And there's one more thing.

I will take care of that.

How can someone so young be so rude?

Good grief, I'm furious.

I let that little child

take advantage of me.

Why did I buy a building out here in the boondocks?

Wait a minute.

I have a feeling I've seen that rude girl before.

That was the agreement.

So from now on, don't ever worry about

the maintenance or the cleaning.

How did she agree to that?

I made her.

It's my trade secret, so don't ask about it.

Oh, okay.

I'll do it since that was the agreement.

But your dad and I will pay the rent.

No, I'll pay.

I insisted on it.

It's okay.

You think your dad and I are incapable?

Come on, I didn't mean it like that.

Don't worry. We can handle it.

Your dad's snack bar is doing well,

and I'm going back to work next month.

Okay.

And...

Thank you.

I feel like I'm walking on clouds.

If anyone messes with you,

whoever they are, I won't let them be.

I don't care if anyone messes with me,

but if it's my family, I won't ever hold back.

Did someone mess with you?

No.

I'm going to my room.

You haven't changed a bit.

Not even a little bit.

But I have changed a bit.

I saw you, and I just...

Mom?

Just a second.

What are you doing here, mom?

Son.

My bad. Thank you, mom.

Hyeyeong, say hello. This is my mom.

Mom, this is my girlfriend.

Hello, I am Byeon Hyeyeong.

Pretty, isn't she?

Do you know why I asked you to see me?

No, mother.

I'd prefer it if you didn't call me "Mother."

I heard my son Jeonghwan

paid for a course you're taking?

Yes...

But I paid him back a week later.

I didn't ask him to pay.

I didn't get paid from work yet, so I couldn't pay,

and he found out and paid it for me.

I even yelled at him.

And he apologized.

Anyway, that means

your parents can't pay for your courses?

It's not like I can beat around the bush for this,

so I'll get straight to the point.

Break up with Jeonghwan.

I don't like you.

There are many reasons,

but the biggest reason

is your family's financial situation.

Being born into a poor family

isn't your fault,

but there's no need for Jeonghwan

to have to share your burden.

People should meet people with similar backgrounds

to be happy.

You understand what I mean, don't you?

I'll take that as a yes

and leave.

And you...

I hope you meet someone who's right for you.

People don't change that easily.

That's the truth.

(Cracker)

So...

Why didn't you answer my calls?

Not answering my calls because of my mom,

that's like guilt by association.

Are you still really mad?

Please don't be.

I'm really sorry.

If you're that sorry,

then persuade your mother

to apologize to my mom.

I told my mom many times,

but now that she's old, she's gotten stubborn.

Okay. I'll talk to her again.

But you know

you overreacted at the police station, don't you?

She's my mom,

yet you brought up suing her...

How will you face my mom later?

Later? When?

Why would I ever have to see your mother?

Well, you could...

And how did I overreact?

It was your mother who overreacted.

She did. My mom did overreact.

I'm not saying what she did was right.

Yes.

I'm glad you know.

And that's why I'm telling you

I'm thinking about suing your mother

for defamation.

So before that,

you should convince your mother

to apologize to my mom.

So you're really going to sue?

Yes.

Byeon Hyeyeong.

Do you have to drag this out like that?

All I'm asking for is an apology for

the insult my mom suffered.

But it's my mom. Not some random stranger.

Do you have to do this to my mom?

Let's break up.

What?

I want to break up.

This again? Huh?

You did this 8 years ago, and you're doing it again.

You're stabbing me in the back again.

Okay. Let's break up.

And sue.

If that's what you want, how can I stop you?

Go ahead and sue.

You better sue.

Even if we're breaking up, I need to know one thing.

Why did you break up with me 8 years ago?

Fine. Let's say this time it's because of our moms.

But why did you break up with me eight...

Hey! Byeon Hyeyeong!

It won't be so bad.

Ms. Kim, are you going somewhere tonight?

That outfit of yours

looks like it's for a blind date or something.

I don't have a blind date.

I have a boyfriend.

Oh, really?

Who? What does he do?

Tell you later.

I think I'll have good news, so I'll tell you then.

Let's see...

I heard you asked for me.

You're late.

When a team leader calls you, you must rush over.

Why did you call me over?

I want to use your abnormal strength.

Over there.

Wait.

Intern.

Hurry.

Are you tired?

I'm okay.

Right.

You're strong enough to throw people down,

so you can't be tired already.

Pick that up.

It's really heavy. It has stage costumes.

- When the others come... / - It's okay.

This intern is really strong.

Don't worry about her and get back to work.

Are you okay?

Yes.

Don't drop it. It's really expensive.

You wouldn't understand

even if I told you how much it was

or why I was wearing it.

I'm sorry.

Sorry?

The idiots who can't work and cause problems

say they're sorry all the time.

I'm busy tonight, so I'm leaving,

but I'm going to need to talk to you tomorrow.

So I can evaluate your performance.

By the way,

clean this entire room before you go home.

I have to leave on time tonight.

Interns have no right to a private life.

First, sort them by color

and then by size.

(My Mom)

Hi, mom.

They asked me to work overtime,

so I'm going to be a bit late.

What about Junyeong's girlfriend?

Okay.

I'll try to finish as quickly as I can.

Father, mom, Yuju is here.

Hello, father and mother.

Welcome. I'm glad you're here.

Welcome. It's nice to see you.

Thank you for inviting me.

This is for you, mother.

Yuju got these for you, father.

How pretty.

How did you know I like hydrangeas?

Thank you.

You didn't have to bring these.

Thank you.

Don't be so formal with me, father, mother.

In time.

We need to introduce our family to her.

Right.

Come this way.

This is Junyeong's grandmother.

Uncle, aunt

and cousin.

Hello, I am Kim Yuju.

I hope we get along.

Welcome. Nice to meet you.

Hello. Welcome.

It's nice to meet you.

Hello.

And these are Junyeong's little sisters.

She's the eldest little sister.

I'm Byeon Hyeyeong.

And the baby sister.

I'm Byeon Rayeong.

Hope to get to know you better.

It's nice to meet you.

Junyeong told me a lot about you.

There's no way he talked about us.

And there's one more, but she's not home yet.

Oh, Miyeong isn't home yet.

I'm home.

There she is.

This is his second eldest little sister.

Hello.

I am Junyeong's little sister, Byeon Miyeong.

Hello, I'm Kim Yuju.

I hope we get along.

Zack Snyder and Batmobile 2016 'Batman v Superman' Featurette [+Subtitles] - Duration: 3:39.

I feel like for all the Batmobiles in history,

you never thought about it as a performance vehicle.

When we started talking about doing the Batmobile,

it was very much talking about, "Let's do a purpose-built vehicle."

-I got to drive it. -Oh, you did?

-Um... -Huh.

I remember putting it in first gear

and having to stomp on the brake just to hold on

-because the car is like, "Let's go!" -(CHUCKLES)

The first time that I actually got to set it into a drift

through some cones,

with precision driving and then drift back around another cone,

my mind was blown.

That's fun because that's the sort of fantasy of it, right?

'Cause you wanna believe that the Batmobile could do that.

Yeah, but when you're a kid and you're playing with the Batmobile,

that's the kind of stuff that you're doing.

You'll be like... And then... (IMITATES TIRES SCREECHING)

And then you're jumping it, and you're thinking to yourself,

this is what you wish it could do.

And, now, I'm sitting in this car, and this is what it can actually do.

What does that open up as a director?

By having the real Batmobile that can perform and do stuff,

it's almost like when you hire an actor who can actually do martial arts.

It's a character thing.

It becomes a character in the movie.

I think that's what happened with the Batmobile.

Because it's a character,

and now it's a character that actually has skill,

it changes the way you think about a badass car.

MAN: Ready and action!

We shut the streets down in Detroit,

and we were able to do this cool chase.

DAMON CARO: We've been out here for a couple of weeks now,

shooting a Batmobile chase.

Zack and I will meet together

and come up conceptually with what we would want to have happen.

The way we approach all action is story-driven.

We've had a bunch of cars crashing.

We've had effects rigs flipping cars.

We'll have explosions.

ZACK SNYDER: 90% of this is practical.

So, this turn right here, right?

I was like, "Mike, you gotta let the back end go,

"and just snap it back into the tunnel. "

And he was like, "Okay."

<i>'Cause we 're gonna do this counter</i>

so that you can see the back end break free.

So you can look down the side of the car a little bit.

Yeah.

SNYDER: Even though it doesn't seem like a big deal,

that's all concrete right there and that's for real.

MASEKE LA: Don't hit that concrete. SNYDER: Don't hit that concrete!

MASEKELA: That's actually real concrete. SNYDER: That's real concrete.

And we didn't have a lot of Batmobiles.

We blew this truck up for real.

We blew that up for real. That's all real. That's all real.

Then that's a CG interior.

-That's a whole CG shot. -MASEKELA: Wow.

SNYDER: This is the real Batmobile jumping off a little jump,

but with no boat around.

-But your Batmobile actually gets to jump. -Yeah.

You feel you're building a relationship with the car every time it does something.

Yeah. See, it's cool because we never get off the car.

It's like once you're driving, you're moving.

So your point of view is you're with the car.

Where does the Batmobile go from here?

We're coming up on Justice League

and there's gonna be

hopefully a place for the Batmobile again in the next movie.

It does get to take its place now alongside the other Batmobiles,

and I think it's a pretty high honor.

It's exciting to see your Batmobile alive, out in the world.

It's cool.

You're home!

I mean, here. You live somewhere else.

I do.

Yeah, I, um -- I saw the light on.

I just -- I wasn't sure if it was Owen or you.

You cook?

So, I'm home...

Right, um,

I just came to say I'm glad you're here.

I was worried about you.

I thought maybe you would...

Run away?

I thought you were going to see your mother to shut us down.

I was.

What happened?

I let my fear of failure take me to a dark place --

a place I needed to go to remind me

it's never where I ever want to be.

Clay, you have a gift.

You know how to inspire people,

how to keep us moving forward even when we don't want to.

That speech tonight -- we know you wrote it.

But more than that, we know that you mean it.

Thank you for not leaving us.

We need you.

Nice monologue, Michelle Williams.

Are we eating this century?

Are you staying for supper?

No, actually, I think I should go.

Good idea. I'll walk you out.

So, I can call you to check in on Clay,

but you won't text me to say you got the message?

I'm here, aren't I?

Unfortunately, so are you.

Look, you were right.

Clay's struggling but not with work.

Only you.

Whatever it is that's happening between you two,

you have to stop it or, I swear,

I will make your life a living hell.

Thousands Of People In Prison: Criminal Scientists Put Them There - Duration: 3:52.

It's one of the most jaw dropping scandals to ever hit America's legal system.

Back in 2012 the state of Massachusetts was forced to close William A Hinton State Lab

after a rogue chemist named Annie Dookhan was caught falsifying drug tests and actually

tempering with evidence.

Now it appears that Dookhan's action will overturn more than 23,000 convictions of mostly

low level drug offenders.

Here to talk about that development is Mollye Barrows, legal journalist with The Trial Lawyer

Magazine.

Mollye, how has one rogue chemist ... I mean, this is a crazy story.

One rogue chemist able to falsify so many reports for so long without being caught,

and more importantly, how weird is that and what was her motivation?

What's your take on this story?

I know, it does sound like an episode of Law and Order, doesn't it?

But it actually happened in real life.

According to data this is happening more often at labs across a number of states.

Critics say the bigger issue is that the entire criminal justice system needs to be reformed

because a lot of these drug labs are being seen as an extension of law enforcement, when

in reality their role is to be neutral when they test evidence from cases, especially

low level drug offender cases like the majority of these cases that were being tested by Annie

Dookhan.

She apparently worked there for nearly 10 years and got away with it for so long.

Critics say there were red flags but she did get away with it for so long because the entire

system again needs to be reformed.

She was friendly with prosecutors when she was supposed to be neutral, her coworker said.

She was so ambitious that they said her work, the turnout of test that she was turning alone,

churning out so many results, that should have been a red flag.

When other people were going through the process, that was supposed to be done.

On top of that there isn't a lot of accreditation, including the lab where she was working at,

they weren't properly accredited, which allows for misuse and mishandling of evidence like

this, not a lot of checks and balances.

Let me ask, the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled on the state of these convictions, when

are we going to know how many of these cases are going to have to be retried because of

this freakish woman who took it on herself to falsify all of these documents?

What's your take?

Yes, it's interesting because prosecutors wanted to let it stand, let the defendants

themselves go back and protest the results.

Go back and basically protest what her results were saying.

Instead the Massachusetts Supreme Court said, 'No way.

We're going to throw them all out.

You prosecutors, district attorneys, have to go back to the table, pick out amongst

these cases the ones that you think you can successfully retry and it's up to you to pursue

those cases.'

Next week they're supposed to come back with two lists.

One that shows the cases that will remain dropped and those that they feel like they

can pursue.

The precedent this case sets for lab ... We've got about a minute.

If this case really does go where we think it's going to go, and there's people who are

going to be retried, this has just begun.

My call on it at this point having seen similar kinds of cases is Dookhan probably was not

the only one involved.

What kind of precedent does this create?

I think you're going to see more and more of this.

She served about two and half years for tempering with evidence, she was released last year.

There are eight other similar cases in different states, in fact more cases than that but in

eight different states.

I think this is going to continue to be ... In a short answer, people need to be worried.

I think again the bigger issue is, does there need to be a reform in the perception of these

labs being an extension of law enforcement?

Or should they be held to higher standards?

Regulations in place where they should be holding these techs accountable so they can't

get away with things like this.

Mollye, follow this story, I want an update on it.

We'll talk about it again once you have an update.

Thanks for joining me.

Halo : Reach – A Spartan Will Rise (ViDoc VOST) - Duration: 3:08.

We knew this day would come.

They have found our fortress among the stars.

The Covenant are on Reach.

They will burn this planet, kill millions, and when Reach falls

- and fall it will - there will be nothing left to stand between them…

and Earth.

Yet, even in our darkest hour,

hope remains.

Now, who will protect it ? Show me Noble Team.

Carter, Noble One. Born leader.

He turned Noble into more than just a collection of SPARTANs.

Set up a perimeter.

They will need him now more than ever.

Kat, Noble Two. She is brilliant.

I'll take that. Not your domain.

There are no technical hurdles she can't overcome. But her curiosity borders on insubordination.

Keep pressing.

Jun, Noble Three. As a sniper, his skills are unmatched.

I have visual on hostile infantry.

On this mission, distance may be a luxury he can't afford.

Emile, Noble Four.

Is he bold enough ? Without question. But we need courage and patience in equal measure.

Who's next ?!

We may require a more delicate approach.

That's what you get when you mess with a SPARTAN.

Jorge, Noble Five.

It's good to see him home again.

But the Fall of Reach will weigh heavily upon him, and this mission will test every last ounce of his strength.

Let the big man do his job.

Noble Six. The team's most recent addition.

My, my. So much black ink.

Six has made entire militia groups disappear.

Curious. Hyper-lethal.

There's only one other Spartan with that rating.

Yes, Noble Team will do.

Yet only one of them can carry our last hope. Only one will hold our fate in their hands.

So, you've made your choice ?

Yes, well… great minds do think alike.

Top 10 Best Cruelty Free Beauty Brands - Duration: 6:52.

Hey guys, welcome back.

Today I'm sharing my top 10 cruelty-free brands.

Number 1 is Urban Decay.

They are a huge brand.

You can find them all over the U.S.A.

You can find them at Sephora, at Ulta, at Nordstrom, at Macy's, at urbandecay.com, tons

and tons of sites.

They have all kinds of products.

My favorite products from them are their blushes, lip pencils, lipsticks, and their eye shadows.

They are Leaping Bunny certified, which as you know is the gold standard for cruelty-free

certification.

They've been Leaping Bunny certified for years and years and years.

They are owned by L'Oreal, who is not cruelty-free.

And they do have lots and lots of vegan products.

Number 2 is Kat Von D. Kat Von D is a small brand that you can find at katvondbeauty.com

and Sephora.

As far as I know, they don't have a physical brick and mortar store.

The Kat Von D range was created by the talented artist Kat Von D. They have a full range of

beauty products.

My favorite products by them are their concealers, foundation, metal crush eyeshadows, and a

couple of their recent palettes, the Pastel Goth, the MetalMatte, and I also did love

the Shade + Light.

They do have a great liquid eyeliner and their new lip pencils are amazing.

They have a ton of vegan products and they are transitioning to be 100% vegan, so they

are working on that which is really great.

Unfortunately, they're not Leaping Bunny certified.

They are owned by Kendo.

Kendo tends to own a lot of cruelty-free brands, but also owns some brands that are not cruelty-free.

Number 3 is Sugarpill.

Sugarpill is a small indie brand that you can only find online at Sugarpill and I think

at other sites like Dolls Kill or Beautylish.

You can also find Sugarpill there.

It was created by Amy Doan.

She's awesome.

They make eyeshadows, nail polish, lashes ... I feel like I'm forgetting something.

And now they have lipsticks.

My favorite products by Sugarpill are their pressed eyeshadows and I really do like their

lipsticks.

I have, I think, almost all of their liquid lipstick formulas and I do have about half

of their traditional lipsticks.

They're great.

The color, U4EA, which is a teal blue, is amazing.

Most of their products, but not all of their products, are vegan.

If you love bright and unusual colors, Sugarpill is for you.

They are Leaping Bunny certified too.

Fyrinnae is a small indie brand that you can only find online.

They're from the Pacific Northwest.

They offer eyeshadows, blushes, eyeshadow primers, highlighters, powders, lipsticks,

all kinds of products.

My favorite products by them are probably their really complex multi-chrome eyeshadows

and I love their Pixie Epoxy, which is like a mixing medium that makes any sort of duochrome

or super glittery eyeshadow stick all day.

They are 100% vegan.

They are not Leaping Bunny certified.

Number 5.

Makeup Geek is a small indie brand that you can only find online.

It was founded by Marlena, she has a Youtube channel called MakeupGeekTV.

They make tons of products.

They make eyeshadows and blushes and lipsticks and liquid lipsticks and gel eyeliners, pencil

eyeliners.

Pretty much everything except for foundation.

I absolutely love their highlighters and their eyeshadows.

Their highlighters are my all time favorite highlighters ever.

I'm wearing Moon Phase right now, which I think is stunning.

They do have a good amount of vegan products.

They are not Leaping Bunny certified, but I wish they were.

Number 6 is NARS.

NARS is a super large brand that you can find all over the U.S.A.

They're in Sephora, they're in Ulta now, they're in Nordstrom, Dillard's, Macy's, Saks Fifth

Avenue, a whole bunch of big, big, big stores.

They've got all kinds of products.

They've got all kinds of foundations and blushes and eyeshadows and lipsticks and lip pencils,

everything you can imagine.

I think that they're probably best known for their blushes and maybe their audacious lipsticks

and their foundations.

My favorite products from NARS are their dual intensity eyeshadows and their blushes.

They are owned by Shiseido.

I'm sorry, I know I said that wrong, who is not cruelty-free.

Number 7 is Silk Naturals.

They are a small indie brand who are only found online.

They're owned by Karen.

They're kind of like the unsung hero of the indie world.

They make a ton of workhorse products.

They make foundations, they make blushes, they make foundation topers, they make eyeshadows,

lipsticks.

Their velvet matte lipsticks are amazing.

They make pretty much every single product you could want from the indie scene.

They have brow creams, brow powders, everything.

I think they're best known either for their wide variety of products in the indie world

or their eyeshadows.

They are 100% vegan and 100% gluten-free if that's a concern of yours.

Unfortunately they are not Leaping Bunny certified.

Number 8 is ColourPop.

ColourPop is a small brand that you can only find online.

They're not indie.

They do offer eyeshadows and blushes and lipsticks and contours and eyeliners and a whole bunch

of products, pretty much everything you could think about except for foundations.

The things I like best from ColourPop are probably their eyeshadows and their ultra

satin lipsticks.

They're probably best known for their super shock eyeshadows.

They have a ton of vegan products.

In fact, they just had a short list of products that are not vegan, so almost everything they

make is vegan which is great.

They are not Leaping Bunny certified, and they're owned by a larger company called Seed

Beauty.

Number 9 is Glossier.

Glossier is a small indie brand that you can find online.

I think they have a brick and mortar store in New York, but that's it.

They have a really cool minimalistic approach to beauty, of skin care first, makeup second.

I really like this because I personally have been trying to get my skin in as good of shape

as possible so I can wear minimal foundation, since I have rosacea.

But I prefer to wear more sheer foundation 'cause I feel like it looks better on me and

it's less irritating for my skin.

So I really like their approach.

I love pretty much all of their skin care products and I like a good chunk of their

makeup products as well.

They make skin care, tinted moisturizer, blush, lipsticks, brow products.

My favorite products from them, as I mentioned, are their skin care.

I love their brow gel.

I love their tinted moisturizer.

I do not like their lipsticks.

No.

Unfortunately they are not Leaping Bunny certified.

Number 10.

Number 10 is My Pretty Zombie.

They are a small indie brand that you can only find online.

They make a lot of awesome and creepy eyeshadows and blushes and lipsticks and sometimes nail

polish and hand cream.

They'll have creepy, creepy names like, "It Looks Better on a Meat Hook," or "Brisket."

They have a bunch of "Silence of the Lambs" reference, I swear, in their names.

Which really creep me out, but I love the colors.

I really like their eyeshadows and their blushes best.

I think that they're probably most well-known for their creepy eyeshadows.

They have a ton of vegan products.

They're not Leaping Bunny certified.

So yeah, those are my top 10 cruelty-free makeup brands right now.

How One College Campus Is Fighting to Defend Free Speech | The Daily Signal - Duration: 4:52.

t would seem uncontroversial to have a dually elected member of United States Congress

come speak at a public university.

So often in the news, we hear about colleges and universities stifling free speech

in order to protect students from uncomfortable viewpoints.

But, despite these instances,

there are still plenty of colleges and universities working hard

to protect the First Amendment,

even in the face of many of these disruptive, angry, and sometimes violent protests.

A violent protest on the campus of UC Berkley.

These are student protestors, some anarchists from what I can gather.

The University of Virginia is one of the more recent examples

of schools taking a stand for free speech.

So, we are here on campus to talk to students and faculty members

about what it actually takes in today's political environment to do this.

This was the first time since I've been here in three years

that it even became an issue where we would discuss

whether or not to go forward with the event.

The president of the university, Terry Sullivan made the final decision

and to her great credit, she was adamant that we go forward hosting this event.

It is astonishing to see how few schools are willing to stand up

and actually say I'm going to follow that constitutional line

and say that disruption is where I'm going to step in.

Because, a lot of schools want to take the position that if protest is speech,

then disruptive protest is also speech

and that just isn't the way the constitution works.

I mean you can probably say whatever you want here and not have any repercussions,

which is the way it should be because that's how it is in the constitution.

The university is doing its part to foster an environment

where people can come and not be in fear of being attacked

by the university or by students, especially when you compare it to other colleges.

The good news is that in our most recent report we've seen

the lowest number of unconstitutional codes

that we've ever seen and of the 449 colleges we surveyed,

it's 39.6 percent of them that have policies that substantially restrict speech.

The bad news is the challenges to speech is starting to morph

morphe and they're no longer just in the limited speech codes.

Students complained that her mere presence was so offensive,

they needed to post trigger warnings

on campus so people could get prepared to deal with their upset

The most important thing about free speech is recognizing

it's only gonna be speech that makes people uncomfortable

that we have to really work to protect.

This does create a real challenge for universities. It's very expensive.

The cost that we estimate for hosting this event

was an additional $60,000 to $65,000 for additional planning and security arrangements.

This can end up being something of a budget veto

that protestors or hecklers can impose, particularly on student groups.

They may not have the resources to be able to afford these kinds of security arrangements.

Free speech is expensive. I mean freedom is expensive.

Civil rights are always an expenditure.

It would be far cheaper if we could just put ankle chains around the students

and put them in the basement.

But we can't because they have civil rights and part of that expenditure

means occasionally they're gonna talk to people who have radical ideas and occasionally,

we're gonna have to foot the bill for that.

And I don't think that should be anymore troubling to the American public

than it is when we pay for security for a football game.

I may not be a fan of UVA's football team,

but some of my tax dollars go there, well some of my tax dollars

can go cause we wanna have a congressman speak.

I really do believe in the fact that colleges should be places where free speech is encouraged.

They were never meant to be spaces where you know,

you shouldn't be afraid to be offended

or you shouldn't like be protected from certain ideas.

From the school and university's perspective, the event was a great success.

We don't have any particular political preference,

we don't have any ideological preference.

Our preference is to be able to host events that are relatively open

where we can have an informed discussion and dialogue

about literally most any issue one can conceive of.

And at the same time do so in an environment that is safe and secure.

I'm optimistic for the future of free speech in college campuses.

It's a long cycle and it's in some ways a game of cat and mouse,

but as long as the First Amendment is in tact, eventually speech is gonna win.

Saying Goodbye to the Crawlspace Growout - Duration: 6:42.

Building this 400+ gallon growout system in my basement crawlspace was one of the most

satisfying things I've accomplished since I started in the aquarium hobby.

I learned a ton and the end product was something I'm very proud of.

But keeping this system in this space has become more trouble than it's worth.

It works really well for growing out fish,

but climbing up into this part of my basement every day, a place where I can't stand up

completely straight, is taking a lot of the enjoyment out of keeping my fishroom.

This is why I've mentioned in a couple of recent videos that I've decided to sell it.

So this week I started the process of draining it and tearing it down.

The first step was to set up the pump.

This is how I've been doing water changes on the system.

I have a hose on a cart with a quick disconnect fitting on one end and the pump on the other.

I attach it to my drain line and pull the pump up into the crawl space.

I started with the radial flow filter barrel.

Once the first barrel was empty I moved on to the first tub.

While it was emptying I decided to pump the water from the sump into this tub.

This just allows me to get more of the water out in one shot.

It's actually a faster pump than the one I'm using to empty the system so this tub filled

back up a bit.

While it was going I tried to multitask by removing some of the plumbing from the tubs.

Once the water level was low enough, I started to net the fish.

Then once the first tub was done I repeated the process on the other side.

I used some tubing to siphon the 8 foot acrylic tank into the tub just to avoid having to

fit the pump into that tank.

That was one nice thing about this process.

There were so many things to do that I never had to sit around and wait for the water to

drain.

Once the second tub was low enough I netted the fish on that side.

The last major thing to drain was the moving bed barrel.

While that was happening I kept going on the plumbing, losening the bulkhead on the overflow

pipe for the acrylic tank.

In many cases I thought ahead and included unions that allowed me to disconnect everything

quickly.

I wish I had done that on the main drain bulkheads though because I ended up having to cut those.

It was not a lot of fun but there was nothing else I could do.

The uniseals are nice because the pipe just pulls right out.

I then pumped out the remaining water that was left in the barrel.

In every case I used the pump to get the water as low as possible,

but for the last bit of water I just had to elevate one side of the tub and scoop it out

into a bucket.

Then I wiped everything down with paper towels.

I separated the filter barrels from each other and drained the remaining water from the moving

bed filter into one of the tubs.

This was much easier than trying to strain the K1 media.

Again, same process, just elevate and scoop.

There was a bit of water in the acrylic tank as well so once it was scooped out I just

moved it on top of the tubs to make it easier to access and clean.

The last of the water was in the sump so I scooped it out, wiped it down, and finally

reached a point where everything was dry.

Breaking down the stand was pretty easy.

I just removed the screws from the inner legs and then the other legs.

I didn't really see any reason to break down the top.

It's not difficult to carry in one piece.

I'm storing all of the plumbing in the sump for now.

With everything drained and disassembled it was time to start the fun part:

Getting it out of the basement.

I started with the easy stuff.

The lids.

The acrylic tank.

The legs and stand.

The tubs were obviously more difficult.

I got them in by myself so I knew I could get them out.

But could I do it without damaging the tubs or breaking the 2 inch pvc drain line that's

right below the entrance to the crawl space?

Well fortunately the answer was yes to both questions but I did take out my towel bar

that's on the far end of my rack.

It was just a curtain rod and can easily be fixed.

The nice part is that once these tubs are on the ground you can just roll them end over

end.

I did realize after I got the first tub out that it would be much easier to push it through

the opening upside down.

This avoids having the feet of the tub catch on the lip of the concrete.

So tub #2 went much faster.

You may be wondering how I got them up the stairs and out of my basement.

Well the answer is: very carefully.

I left the sump and filter barrels in the crawlspace for now because I have a potential

buyer for the rest.

Worst case though, if that falls through, the hard part is over with.

The tubs are in the garage and ready to go.

Hopefully they'll be moving on to a new owner who has a better space for them because they

truly do work really well.

Thank you all for watching, and until next time, have a good one.

Elite Dangerous | Stand With Salome | April 29th 3303 - Duration: 2:14.

What's the greatest power in the galaxy?

Federation?

Alliance?

Imperium?

No my friends...

The greatest power in our galaxy

is the power of TRUTH

No other force is met with greater CONTEMPT

No force is met with greater RESISTANCE than that of truth.

because truth

can lead to change

CHANGE

was never made by the idle

and IDLE is something we cannot afford to be

The powers fear that

but fear was never an attribute of the greatest in humanity

Fear would have kept us hiding in a cave

It was those of us that drove out, and CONQUERED fire,

looked up to the sky with wonder and desire

and CONQUERED the stars

THAT

is the the type of person that defines humanity

That is the type of person

who isn't afraid of a little truth.

That is the type of person

who isn't afraid to confront fear

Those of us

with a dream and a little

FIGHT

in our souls

told fear that we will NOT let you hold us back.

No not today!

So I put it to you commanders

Are you going to be weak

and cower in the fear of truth,

or will you let it be heard

EMBRACE IT

LEARN FROM IT

Let it make you STRONGER

Fight back the chains of dogma,

and let that FIGHT

be the light that shines upon a

NEW day for humanity.

FIGHT for a voice to be heard

that can unite what divisions have taken from us

On April 29th at 18:00

I'm asking you to

RISE UP

NEVER SURRENDER!

STAND WITH TRUTH

STAND WITH HUMANITY

STAND

with Salome

Your Truck - Duration: 1:31.

I laughed insanely with the stars

your truck

yeah I crashed your truck on that empty desert road

a palo verde tree or God got me to wake up

you said let's just push it over

I laughed insanely with the stars

called my mother who asked me if I want

to come home

now I return to an uprooted childhood

back to where I started slamming deli sandwiches

at thousand-dollar lunch hours for doctors

and lawyers who don't know how hard I

work for that $8.75 an hour

and I'm wishing I hadn't driven that truck of yours

that destructo could have waited

a day or two more it didn't matter i was already

evicted i had a pregnant cat I got fired

on my birthday and I'd lost all my dignity

now I sit it a coffee shop with other poets

in the town I barely know

no girlfriend no best friend

just crazy thoughts running around my head

and I thought I needed you for some kind of

sex release

your body

your money and

your truck

became my freedom
