Youtube daily report Jul 19 2017

We've got the first details on Kylo Ren's new ship from The Last Jedi

So if you are spoiler-phobic click ahead to this time stamp…NOW.

This week, on The Star Wars Show!

Andi talks with the cast and filmmakers of Star Wars: The Last Jedi!

We take a closer look at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

And much, much more.

Now from the Lucasfilm Headquarters it's The Star Wars Show!

Hey I'm Andi Gutierrez, welcome to The Star Wars Show, the only Star Wars Show on the

internet that is nominated for a prime time Emmy award.

I'd celebrate with Anthony but he's not here this week, which we'll explain why

later on in the episode, but first!

Let's go to the news!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is only a few months away and with a new movie, comes a whole new

ship for Kylo Ren to take control of.

And wouldn't you know it, we have the first images of it.

Also, SPOILER WARNING.

If you don't want any more about this, this is your last chance to skip ahead.

We good?

Good.

Kylo's new ship is called the TIE Silencer, whose full technical name is the Sienar Jaemus

TIE/VN Space Superiority Fighter.

The Silencer features laser cannons and a missile launcher, and looks an awful lot like

a darker, sharper edged TIE Interceptor.

And speaking of new Star Wars things, there was a TON of new Star Wars reveals last weekend

at the D23 Expo in Anaheim.

The cast of The Last Jedi debuted an INCREDIBLE behind the scenes reel showing off all the

new creatures, aliens, and locations from the new movie.

Also debuting new behind the scenes action was Battlefront II, which showed off a new

trailer giving fans a glimpse behind the scenes of the making of the new single player campaign.

But the big talk of the weekend was the newly unveiled Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the brand

new Star Wars themed land coming to Disneyland and Walt Disney World in 2019.

Aside from the unveiling of the model, we also got a few more details on the 2 Star

Wars themed rides coming to the park.

One lets you actually pilot the Millennium Falcon, where apparently all of your moves

will have consequences that follow you throughout the park, as well as ride that puts you inside

a Star Destroyer hangar bay plopping you in the middle of a battle between the First Order

and the Resistance.

And for those of you visiting Galaxy's Edge in Florida in the months after it's opened,

you can have the option to stay in a fully immersive Star Wars themed hotel filled with

the aliens, droids, and creatures you'd find in a galaxy far far away.

Plus!

Every window has a view into space.

And we'll have a ton more from D23 later in the show.

As we mentioned earlier THE STAR WARS SHOW WAS NOMINATED FOR A PRIME TIME EMMY THIS WEEK

FOR OUTSTANDING SHORT FORM VARIETY SERIES!

But we're not the only Star Wars Show nominated this week, Star Wars Rebels also picked up

it's much deserved first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Children's Program.

Congratulations to all of the nominees and their hard working crews who made this possible.

Looking at you Frank, Kyle and Dana!

Finally this week KEVIN THE EWOK!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!

(Ewok sounds) WHAT?!

EWOKS ARE COMING TO STAR WARS GALAXY OF HEROES?!

(More Ewok noises) WOW!

Anyone Else?

(Ewok Noises) That's amazing Kevin.

Are you in the game too?

(SAD EWOK NOISE) Is it because you're not Canon?

Aww bummer.

Wait, you have a trailer?

Can you show it to us?! Roll it.

You are watching The Star Wars Show.

Guys I am so bummed that I can't be there this week with all this insane news coming

out of D23 but it is all for a good cause.

I'm in LA right now shooting our new show: Science and Star Wars which is going to come

out this Fall.

It's going to be absolutely amazing.

We've got huge experiments and huge guests and I'm having such a wonderful time and

I will be back next week and in the meantime Andi, I need you to kick down all the doors

and crack all the skulls in the office till you find out who this perfect boy is for me.

Find out for me Andi.

I love him.

I think he's heading for that small moon.

That's no moon.

You know what, I've got cards for you but whatever

Let's just riff it.

We're friends.

I love your dress it's amazing.

Thank you!

I love yours!

We're both very Star Wars-is.

Yeah you know a little bit of Star Wars fashion.

Having fun?

I'm, gee having a lot of fun.

Star Wars is lahhh!

So where can I get a lobster sweater like that?

That lobster sweater I'm going to hold on to tight, I'm gonna not let that go.

Or I'll Ebay it and we'll pay for the effects budget.

So how's Phasma different this time around?

What I can tell you, is that Phasma is in the film.

Now has it been easier this time around?

What has changed coming into The Last Jedi?

I've found nothing easier.

And I still felt like oh my God I shouldn't be here.

What's going on this is so weird.

After 40 years of Luke Skywalker be you, do you know him intimately yet?

Well I thought I did, but I like the unexpected.

This film is really unique and that's all due to Rian Johnson.

We see Finn in a Rebel pilot outfit, where's he at right now?

I think Finn just came across some wardrobe.

He's a bit of a jacket stealer.

Yeah he is, Finn is a big jacket stealer.

And big spoiler alert, she gets out of that trash compactor.

So Canto Bight.

What's it like showing that different side of society?

It was a really interesting journey kind of finding the look of that place.

I've never been on a set that opulent in my life.

They would have all the creatures in like a dramatic situation with all the puppeteers

working them and so they would have the casino set up and all the creatures working the table

and playing bets That's gotta be so cool.

And I would just walk through it and experience it as a living environment.

With all those creatures in there, did you get Millie a cameo or anything?

I flat out asked, are there dogs in the Star Wars universe?

And the answer was NO.

We've got everything else, you think they could fit in a dog.

So this time around it seems that Rey is a lot more of a physical role.

It's funny what people take from seeing something but also like I watched that was

thinking that oh my God they give away so much.

And everyone has been "so physical?" and I'm like oh yeah I guess it is!

So between the Force Awakens to now, would you say there is more or less running at full

speed in this one?

There's way more.

I thought there was going to be way less.

After 7 I thought I'd be in a floating chair just saying, "Rey, go get Luke."

But I'd be sleeping off everything really.

So more of like a sleeping syndrome thing.

Where's your John Boyega sweatshirt?

I know!!

It's not here.

I actually have a SPOILER, I have a Rian Johnson t-shirt that I was going to wear today and

I forgot it.

Does she have a bit of a score to settle with Finn?

Do you want to ask me something else like who my suit's by, or do I like having longer

hair because I would start having a better chance of answering those questions than anything

you are wonderfully presenting to me right now.

Hey guys I'm on the floor of the D23 Expo right now standing in front of Walt Disney Parks

and Resorts: Galaxy of Stories.

Let's go check it out.

Now Rex here is someone we all know and love from the history of Star Wars so that's

exciting.

And he has a new job.

We might head over to the Cantina and we might find a little droid DJing in the background

there.

What we love, is the opportunity opt share with everyone what we have been working on

the past 2 years.

You are the adventure.

You are the rogue explorer going off to the edge of wild space and crafting your own adventure.

It gives us an opportunity to experience Star Wars in all new ways.

The food, the drink, the smells, what it feels like to walk down that street.

That's what makes Star Wars, Star Wars.

You're walking down a path or alley or street and droids going by, you might see an Ithorian

or a couple X-Wings hidden over there in the forest.

The Resistance has a history for some reason of hiding out in old ancient ruins.

And one thing I've noticed walking around here is that the First Order presence is pretty

strong.

Whenever you have the First Order and the Resistance nearby, something is bound to happen.

But this time, we're going to be right in the middle of it..

If you look deep in to the village, the heart of our hangar bays, there's a ship that

is very very familiar.

The Millennium Falcon.

That is really a life long dream to be able to climb aboard that cockpit, sit down and

take the controls of the Falcon and fly across the galaxy?

We're gonna let you do it.

This model itself is massive.

How big is the area going to be?

We're 14 acres so it's the largest land expansion in the history of our company.

It's Star Wars, it's gotta be big!

Go big or go home.

You can't do things small in Star Wars.

Last week we asked you to tell us where you thought CH33Z was hiding for 4 months.

And a lot of you had some pretty clever theories.

Dead Eyed Clown said Cheese was roaming the halls declaring independence and letting us

know that he's Nacho Cheeze now!

Odd Person XD added his own Cheeze/Snoke theory.

WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT BE TRUE.

But the biggest theory was that he was off filming another cameo ala Chopper in Rogue

One…which we can now officially confirm is NOT TRUE.

The real story is, well less dramatic than that.

Watch.

Oh I'll leave this for safe keeping no one ever comes in here.

Ahhh been looking for this.

Well that was super anticlimactic.

And that's our show for the week, thanks for watching, and as always, May the Force

be with you!

Kyle, gotta keep the area neater.

We'll lose him again.

9903 Ave V - Fox Ridge - Duration: 2:16.

Hello everybody!

Welcome to our really cute farm house styled house over here in Fox Ridge.

I just wanted to give you guys a little tour and walk through this house today so you can

see all the really fun, unique features we put in this house to make it really unique

and special.

We really wanted this house to emphasize the farm house vibe.

So we have barn doors on the pantry doors and on the door to the utility room as well.

And then in the kitchen we did really fun black and white cement tile vibe sort of back

splash.

It looks really really great with the white cabinets.

We have some really pretty granite counter tops and really cute black hardware.

In this house we did a really neutral palette with some light grey's and whites and then

we did a really light floor to kind of play off of the farm house vibe.

The old feeling floor with the clean and crisp walls.

This house has a ton of storage.

So starting in the kitchen we have a lot of lower cabinets.

We've got extra storage in the island and a lot of upper cabinets as well.

A great size pantry.

And then also in the utility room you have a counter top space with cabinets underneath

it and a really large mud bench in here.

This is one of our most popular plans.

Because it's a great open concept.

It has a really good vibe between the living room and the kitchen.

Everything is perfectly lined up so all the way from the fireplace to the vent hood you

have a really symmetrical look.

And then off to the side you have a semi-private kind of dinning space that is still open to

the rest of the living area.

The master bedroom itself is really large.

There's a king size bed in here right now.

You have room for two large nightstands, a dresser, a sitting area and the big windows in here

just make the room feel even bigger.

When you first walk into the master bathroom, you'll see the large tub with really pretty

subway tile and it has a large window up above that provides a lot of natural light into

the space.

The bathroom has double vanities with decorative mirrors and lighting.

The bathroom also has a separate shower space, private toilet space and a really large master

closet.

For more looks into our houses, videos and pictures and everything else, make sure you

follow our Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, blog on our website and our video blog on

Youtube.

Fox News Feud – Sean Hannity Angry That Other Hosts Aren't Blindly Supporting Trump - Duration: 3:49.

It looks like things are getting even worse for those who live in Fox News-land.

According to recent reports, Sean Hannity and Shepard Smith have been going at one another

because Sean Hannity is angry that Shepard Smith and a few other members of the Fox News

family are not being blind loyalists to Donald Trump.

Shepard Smith fired back after Hannity accused him of being anti-Trump, of saying, "You know

what?

Sometimes the facts are slippery things.

Sometimes the facts don't fit in with your narrative."

Shepard Smith, to his credit, has done a fairly decent job of finally acknowledging that Donald

Trump isn't that great of a president, that he's not doing anything to help this country,

and that he could, in fact, find himself in seriously hot water as a result of the ongoing

investigation by Robert Mueller.

Sean Hannity, on the other hand, refuses to believe that any of the negative press coverage,

any of the negative stories coming out about Donald Trump and his administration and his

family are true.

Sean Hannity is worshiping Donald Trump as if he were a god, completely infallible and

untouchable.

In Sean Hannity's view, Donald Trump is the savior not just of the country, but I guess

of the entire world.

Hannity's not alone over at Fox News in thinking this.

The people at Fox & Friends also share that god-like worship of Donald Trump that Sean

Hannity has perfected.

Tucker Carlson meanwhile, while being a Trump loyalist, is also trying to talk about anything

other than Donald Trump.

On his Tuesday evening program, Tucker spent an absurd amount of time talking about Romani

gypsies coming to the United States and allegedly taking over as if that is the most important

or even most relevant story in the United States to talk about today.

The fact is, the folks over at Fox News don't really have a path forward.

Shepard Smith understands that.

A couple other people at Fox News understand that as well.

They see what's happening.

They understand that it's not all fake news and that at some point, the network is going

to have to admit that Donald Trump is not the greatest person that ever lived.

Otherwise, the network is going to have to admit that they're, in fact, not a news organization,

as they claim to be, and that they are just a propaganda arm of the United States Republican

Party, something that all of us already understand that they really are.

They're going to have to either admit it or admit that Donald Trump is not doing a good

job, that he's not actually making American great again, that the Republicans in Congress,

their healthcare plan and their tax plan are just to benefit the wealthy elite.

There's only so long that Fox News can continue to repeat the big lie.

According to Sean Hannity, everybody at that network needs to continue repeating the big

lie until they either run out of breath or get fired by the network.

That's why Sean Hannity is starting to find himself in the defense mode.

That's why he's going after Shepard Smith for not being a loyalist, because as soon

as those cracks start appearing in the façade of Fox News, the whole thing will start

to crumble.

Hood Adjacent with James Davis - Side-Chick and Side-Dude Humor - Duration: 4:16.

I headed to Stevie's Creole Café

to chop it up with Karlous Miller,

Amanda Seales, Bomani Jones,

and Emmanuel Hudson.

If Black Twitter was a club,

they'd all have their own VIP sections.

What is it about side chick, side dude humor

that is so enticing?

- Nothing is funnier than a bad idea, man.

All right? Like, these--these stories

do not ever end positively.

They tend to always end in ruin.

- Black folks love drama.

And we love comedy.

And so any time that there's errors,

there's gonna be comedy.

- I'm pretty sure I've been a--a side dude.

- You didn't know though? - It wasn't confirmed.

But you get a feeling in your heart.

- In your gut.

- I ain't never had no side chick.

I ain't ever been a side dude...

- All right. - To my--to my knowledge.

- I dated rappers, so the odds

of me being a side chick at some point are very high.

- Why are jokes about side chicks and side dudes

more popular in the black community

than in other communities?

- Our ability to always take everything

and turn it into positive is something that

black folks have been forced to do,

and so it's just one of the next things that we do.

- What's she's saying is that Black Twitter is gumbo, right?

- Mmm, yes.

- And the scraps are the things that

maybe the mainstream doesn't deal with,

like side chick humor. - Yes.

- But we done thrown that in the roux.

And we over here feasting on some.

- We cooking. - And we cooking.

- I think it's more taboo to white people.

'Cause we know white people get down.

A white--like a white dude have a side chick,

and plan to kill his whole family so he can be with her.

- On Black Twitter, it's really about the side chick.

- Yes.

- Now, is that a misogynist kind of situation?

- Yes. I think it's misogynistic

because it never ends up being about

the fact that you shouldn't have a side chick

in the first place.

- The side chick is practice.

How am I gonna know how to treat you and

what nice places to take you... - [laughs]

- If I--I can't be in a relationship

just freestyling, Amanda.

My girl Amanda like seafood.

Me and my side chick need to come here

on a Thursday afternoon and see what Stevie's talking about.

I'm not about to bring my baby to Stevie's

and the gumbo not the way she like it.

- You listening to a [BLEEP] with sunglasses on inside.

- Okay--[laughs]

But that [BLEEP] with the sunglasses

is something like a Black Twitter pioneer.

- So I made this meme that says

"I might not be the man crush Monday,

but I smashed on side [BLEEP] Sunday."

- You may talk about side chicks Monday through Saturday,

but thanks to Karlous,

Sunday is the day to appreciate the side dude.

Are these memes-- is this humor

normalizing adultery within our generation?

- Of course, it normalizes it.

- It ain't normalizing it.

It's what it's been forever and ever and...

- But it used to have shame attached to it.

And now it don't. - Ahh, mm.

- Yeah, but Bill--Bill Clinton almost got impeached,

but we knew how Bill Clinton got down a long time before that.

And we made him the president.

- For women, it's never been a look to be a side chick.

- Yeah-- - Now, hoes be winning.

- You know who's also winning? Kermit the Frog.

He's pretty much the mayor of Side Chick Town.

"That moment you see an old side chick

and she's walking with a kid."

Let's talk about Kermit.

Kermit is from Muppets.

He's not supposed to be representing

smashing thangs on the side.

- Kermit the Frog got side chicks.

He drinking Hennessy.

Somebody photoshopped a cigarette on him.

Like, the places that I've seen Kermit the Frog,

I was like, "Shit, Kermit, me too, I relate."

- I think it's also funny 'cause

it just represents a loss of innocence.

- Yeah.

- It's like when your parents get divorced or

when you find out your grandpa cheated on your grandma once.

And Kermit is here to be like, "Hey,

"your innocence is over

and real stuff is happening." - [laughs]

- Sip that tea.

I want you guys to give me

some commitment humor memes

for this picture right here.

- When you find the perfect neighborhood

to raise your family in.

[buzzer sounds]

With your wife. [buzzer sounds]

Because you're faithful. [buzzer sounds]

And you don't cheat on her. [buzzer sounds]

- When you and your wife

bought your first home

together. [buzzer sounds]

- Damn, that ain't funny.

The next meme is

Barack kissing Michelle

in front of an Easter bunny.

- I got one.

"When he went to 'Carrots.'"

[laughs] [buzzer sounds]

- What? - You stupid, man.

- You--you failed. - I--I can't.

- Only thing that I can think of is like,

"When it's a threesome and you waiting on your turn."

That's--that's the only-- [laughter]

That's all I see right there.

- That was funny.

Hi, I'm Peter Burns

I'm the CEO of The Arc,

and thank you Julia

for inviting me to say a few words today.

Thank all of you for coming out

this evening.

You know, today we're haunted.

We're haunted by a terrible problem

that has existed this year,

and last year, and for generations

here in the United States

and around the world.

It's the problem of our devaluing

the lives of people with disabilities,

and in its most extreme form,

we see filicide,

the intentional taking of the lives

of a family member,

and, in our concern in particular,

the family members with disabilities.

It is imposing a brutal toll,

a brutal, harrowing toll,

on our community.

In the past five years,

there have been at least

400 cases of filicide

in the disability community--

about a hundred since we

gathered together last year.

Those are only the cases

that we know about.

It is certain that

there are many, many more murders

that we don't know about,

and those numbers are just

in the United States.

This practice is much more

commonly pronounced around the world.

The act of a parent

to kill their offspring,

their son or daughter with disabilities,

is never acceptable.

It is something that offends

our deepest sense of values.

It is an affront to humanity,

and it is really imperative

on all of us to stand up

and call it exactly what it is,

which is murder.

It's a heinous crime,

both against the individual

and against our society.

Too often in the media,

these tragic events are described

as if they were justified.

There is a picture painted

of the beleaguered parent

who is laboring under the burden

that is imposed by their son or daughter,

the conditions of their son or daughter,

a heavy burden,

and we really need to stand up,

and oppose strongly,

as we are doing today,

those media portrayals,

and always call out exactly

what is taking place,

which is a crime of the greatest magnitude

We need to urge the media

to become better educated

about people with disabilities,

about their lives,

about their loves,

about their humanity.

We need the media to be

more well educated about disability rights

and to abandon this

wrong-headed conception they have

about individuals with disabilities

and their relationship with

their family members.

Sadly, I think the media's portrayal

is just symptomatic of

a larger problem we have in our society

that has to do with

misconceptions and prejudices

about people with disabilities,

and it's very important that we're here

today with ASAN,

that there are vigils

all around the country

honoring the memory of those

whose lives have been taken

quite tragically,

and that we take this moment

to pause and reaffirm

our commitment to fight

for the rights of people

with intellectual and developmental

disabilities, for all disabilities,

to fight to change the attitudes

that are at the core of this problem

that continues to haunt us

year in and year out.

We must do everything

within our power to assure

that these crimes are taken seriously

by the authorities,

and that the perpetrators of the crime

are really dealt with

to the full extent of the law,

and that justice is done for the victims.

We must constantly remind

those in positions of power--

the prosecutors, the judges,

everyone involved in these cases--

that considering these events

as some type of normal response

to severe conditions is simply wrong

and is totally unacceptable,

and we must also recognize

that the attitudes we're talking about

that lead to something as tragic

as filicide

are the same attitudes that also

purvey many different aspects

of the problems that we are confronting

in the disability community.

Now, more than ever, as Congress

is poised to cut Medicaid

and roll back protections

in the Affordable Care Act,

we have to work together as a movement

to affirm the dignity and value

of the lives of people with disabilities,

and the importance of they're being

fully included and supported

to be fully included in our society.

These are not unrelated problems,

and it all goes back to the core

of our society needing to appreciate

the value of people with disabilities

in our communities.

I want to conclude just by thanking ASAN

for organizing this event

and the vigils across the country.

It is extraordinarily important,

it is very powerful,

it is very moving,

and it is very necessary

for us to do this every year

and continue to do this

until we are no longer haunted

by this terrible problem.

Thank you.

And instead of Jedah Dohma, the should've brought back Felicia. Who the sock wants a Devilman when you can choose a Neko Waifu?

and from Marvel they should've added X-Men Psylocke, 'cuz I do search her Rule 34 of the Internet

unlike the other 2 hags that are in the game even though nobody asked for 'em

and if this socky game also lets you perform combos just by pressing a single button like The King of Fighters XIV

I'd rather play Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, 'cuz is one of the few Fighting Games today that aren't for sissies and are worth it

Unlike Marvel vs Capcom Infinite that won't have Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto or any other mutant, and that SOCKS

and whoever says otherwise es topu

and if you haven't played the games Capcom of Marvel in the 90's I'm sure you use the Noob Combo in KOF 14

Physician Enterprise Value - Duration: 1:15.

A formula that we've created and we've been tracking for many years now, and we call it

the Physician Enterprise Value.

Which is a ratio of the health system contribution margin, or the investment that you're making

into your physician enterprise, and what is the contribution margin that you're getting

for the investment that you're making.

And this is where we can begin to tell people, based on looking at best practices and on

our history in working with dozens and dozens of large system-employed physician groups,

how you're performing.

So when we look at that ratio, we know that if you're under three-to-one return, that

there's significant opportunity and we'd categorize that as "Poor" performance, and there's really

almost a turnaround situation.

If you're more in the three-to-five return, we'd call that "Suboptimal", better than a

turnaround situation, but significant opportunity for improvement.

And then if you're above five then we'd call that "Solid Improvement", but we still think

there's an opportunity to improve.

We see groups getting up into the eight-, or even ten-to-one return.

Adjustable Bag Strap | Sewing How to | Whitney Sews - Duration: 4:38.

Hi everyone!

I'm Whitney and I post a new sewing tutorial here on my youTube channel every Wednesday!

Today I'll be showing how to create an adjustable bag strap that can be used for any bag or

purse you like.

Before we get into the tutorial make sure to hit that red subscribe button down below

if you haven't already so you don't miss out on any of my new how to videos.

For this project you will need your fabric, a stabilizer and your hardware.

I will have more info including the measurements and type of fusible foam stabilizer I used

over on my website WhitneySews.com

You will more than likely need to join your stabilizer pieces in order to get a piece

long enough for the entire strap.

I like to join them using a little piece of scrap fabric.

I lost the clip showing this, but I carefully iron the strip of fabric onto the fusible

foam stabilizer so they adhere together.

Then I do some crazy back and forth stitching to make sure it stays in place.

My machine doesn't zig zag, but if you have a machine with a good zig zag stitch then

feel free to use that instead.

Then place your fabric strips right sides together and sew across the short ends to

attach.

Fold the fabric strip in half wrong sides together and press with an iron to create

a crease right down the center.

Now it's time to fuse the stabilizer into place.

Use the crease you just pressed as a guide to line the edge up with as you fuse it down.

Make sure to leave about a half inch at each end without any of the stabilizer.

Fold the fabric strip in half right sides together.

Then turn back the top edges to the outside.

Sew along the short end to hold the folds in place.

Do this for both ends of the strap.

Flip it to the right sides and tuck in those top sides toward the inside.

Sew down the long side adjusting the folded edges as you go.

Then sew down the other long side as well.

Now onto adding the hardware.

Start by feeding the strap in the slider, over the bar and back out.

Then add one of your clips to the end.

Bring the short end back and up into the slider, over the bar and back out the same direction

as the first time, just underneath it.

Sew the short end to itself to secure.

Add the second clip on the other end and sew the end to itself to secure.

You are done!

You can made this in any width and length that you need and in any fabric from cotton

to decorator fabric, whatever suits your needs.

I hope this tutorial was helpful.

Next week I'll be showing a fun crossbody bag project this strap is perfect for.

Make sure your subscribed so you don't miss out on that video.

You can do so by clicking my picture right down there.

And don't forget to check out some of the videos I'll have linked right over here to

the side.

Until next time, happy sewing!

BRANDT Agronomy Update: Effects of Nitrogen on Corn - Duration: 1:48.

BRANDT's Agronomist, Ed Corrigan, is beginning to see the effects of nitrogen on the corn

trials out at the Research Farm in Pleasant Plains.

Corrigan compares corn that has received no Nitrogen with other plants that received 100

units per acre and 200 units per acre.

This is 200 lbs of N per acre and this one, we almost see 0 amounts of yellowing at the

bottom leaves.

So it's not really running out of nutrition yet, as far as Nitrogen, and it'll be able

to really fill out this ear very well at this R2 stage.

One of the things Corrigan notices, however, is that the plants that received 0 Nitrogen

application are doing better this year than years past.

We had very good, early February - March temperatures that started the mineralization process early.

And we also had good soil tilth.

We have the right amount of water and air in the soil to manufacture that in.

And that's what's happened this year, and this corn plant is actually about double the

height and better looking than we've seen the last 4 or 5 years of production of this

type out here.

Corrigan warns that because of the weather conditions and the look of the corn this year

you probably won't need extra late applications of Nitrogen.

Because of this huge amount of mineralization this year we're definitely not going to see

a big response to late applied N.

We really have gotten that from the soil.

It's mineralized its own. We just needed to have somewhere between 150 and 250 units of

N on before planting to actually maximize our yields.

SAME SEX MARRIAGE REACTION | A Christian's Response to the Law Change | Luke Wood - Duration: 13:17.

So today I'm talking about same-sex marriage. Here we go. Let's go. Yeah I'm

back. Sorry about that. Hi I'm Luke and welcome back to my

channel, where I talk about the impact of 28 weird days in 2010 in which a number

of things happened, one of which was that I finally after 25 year of life on planet Earth, came out to my close family. I'm from a Christian

background and I also came out to my church leaders at the same time. That was

quite an experience for all of us and a massive learning curve for all of us

including me. Every now and then I get asked the question, "what you actually

think about the introduction of same-sex marriage in the UK?" Same-sex marriage

was legalised in this country a few years ago now. I think it was while I was in rehab at the time. "MPs in Britain

have voted in favour of legislation that will allow gay marriage. The historic

vote took place just a short time ago." "The ayes to the right, 400. The noes to the

left, 175." "So the ayes have it, the ayes have it.

Unlock!" "This is a good step forward for our country and I'm proud that this

government's taking it." People ask me that question because they know I'm a

Christian and they also know that I am gay and so I guess people just are

interested in my perspective as a Christian who is also gay. And I feel

like my gut reaction is not what people would think. They're certainly not asking me

because they think I've got all the answers. We all know that it's not true

so anything I say here is just my opinion right at this moment on this day

where I'm looking out my window and talking to you. It may change in five

minutes time, it may change in five years time, it may change in five decades

time. It might never change. For any Christian I think it's a really tough

question to deal with. Maybe not so tough, I support it. That was easier than I

thought. Okay, so before you click off and go "oh another lefty liberal, I'm not

interested in that." Give us 5 mins to explain babes. So

here are my 5 observations / opinions about the introduction of same-sex

marriage in a legal form in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern

Ireland. Observation number one and this sounds like it's completely unrelated.

I support the disestablishment of the Church of England. There I said it. A lot

of societies, for example in the United States, the principle of the separation

of church and state is commonplace, well-known, well-supported. The difficulty

is that even in places where the separation of church and state is a big

deal, you can still get forms of overbearing

influence from aspects of faith communities over the public life of

the land. Now you may think that's a good thing or a bad thing depending on your

point of view, but what I find interesting is in America, the

principle, despite the religious nature of the country, is well supported, the

principle of the separation of church and state. In this country, I feel like

most people in the United Kingdom would probably support the idea of the

separation of church and state but then if you took away the fact that that

meant that they would no longer be entitled, potentially, to a wedding in

their local parish church in the village they grew up in, they maybe wouldn't like

it very much. So I think that in theory maybe people in the United Kingdom would

like the idea to separate out, to for example not give bishops in the Church

of England automatic seats in our Parliament. I think that's wrong. I think

it's corrupt. I don't think that it is appropriate for any faith group at all

to have that sort of influence. You may argue, I could see an argument as a

Christian as to maybe why that has served my interests well as a Christian

or what I think other country's best interests as a Christian, but I could also

very much see an argument for why it actually hasn't served our country very

well as well and I'm very glad that the number of bishops' seats in the House of

Lords is reduced . Nevertheless there is still a religious institution in this

country who gets guaranteed representation in our Parliament in the

House of Lords. I don't see it I don't see how -

historically I can see why that is there logically I can't see why we keep it. The

reason why that's important is that no faith group, no group of any people at

all, has an automatic right to have their voices heard or to have things done

their way. I can see it from both sides because as a Christian I feel like I

wouldn't want to be part of a church in which the state had a decisive role in

aspects of the life of my church I wouldn't want to be part of a church

that was organized that way but also as a citizen I don't want to live in a

country where a particular expression of a particular faith group has right over

and above other faith groups to representation in our Parliament I don't

agree with that will blame on Henry the eighth nevertheless we're left with his

mess to clean up so we've got a work out what to do quite

number one in the same-sex marriage debate in my head is that Christians do

not have an automatic rights to be heard on this particular topic we have a voice

as humans our voice is valid and it should be heard but not because we're

members of the Church of England okay observation number two is that

whatever I may think of the fact that we have a state Church it is a reality of

life in the United Kingdom in 2017 being the state church comes with privileges

absolutely guaranteed seats in the House of Lords is as part of our Parliament a

guaranteed part of our national life it comes with responsibilities posture or

care for people in the parish if they request help from you that church

movement has a responsibility it puts a responsibility on itself to do that for

everyone but it also comes with compromises the Supreme Governor of your

church is a monarch and I love our queen I think the queen is amazing I believe

personally that she has a Christian she would certainly would say that she is a

Christian her faith seems real to me I don't think anyone would doubt she's

clearly got a faith she clearly takes it very seriously but you might also say

that having a monarch as your super supreme governor of your church Idzik is

a compromise but what happens when we have a monarch who

has particular moral crisis or or he makes particularly poor decisions and

yeah they're the supreme governor of the state

so the second observation is that what much as I may not like it we do have a

state church and if we have a state church that state it has a

responsibility to everyone in that country who requests help it's

essentially in my eyes like a public service like the principle of the

universal service in the Royal Mail you have a responsibility as the Church of

England to AH story care and lead in a Christian manner that people that come

to you for care and come to you for leadership you can't be excluding people

you're a state Church laughs you have a responsibility if you want the

privileges that come with being a state Church you've got to take the crap that

comes your way as well by just saying crap I mean the things people in the

Church of England may not wish to reconcile themselves with you can't take

the privileges of being a state Church and refuse to take on the compromises

and the responsibilities of that entails as well suspects observation number

three this is one of my favorites and is that Christians have not been the

people to legally define what marriage is since the marriage act of 1753 that

was several hundred years ago how have we still not got to grips with that the

church does not define marriage anymore let's just rewind before 1753 the church

did define marriage and this definition of marriage was you were married if the

Church of England priest had marriage so that excluded anybody who was a

Methodist a Baptist or Quaker a Jew a Muslim anyone that came from a non

Anglican perspective or anyone who was not married by an Anglican priest was

not legally married sidenote some people say that the principle of marriage

before 1753 was consent that consent made a marriage those people are

confusing the theological position of what made a marriage with what the

church actually practiced once again sort of showing that what

which said marriage was and what it actually did in practice with two

different things we've seen this many times in the history of the Church of

England does one thing says another legally what marriage was according to

church law before 1753 was to people who were married by an anglican priest

so in 1753 the states decided look we have trusted the Church of England to be

the guardians of marriage up until now but what that's ended up with is people

that were disenfranchised it's ended up with secret marriages clandestine

marriages runaway brides families being disintegrated because parents were not

giving that consent and so young people running away to get married in a to try

and get around the rules all because it was in the hands of the individual

priests not it wasn't actually defined by national law even after 1753 when the

state finally did define marriage it only left you three options you had to

either be an Anglican or we murdered by an Anglican a Quaker or we might buy

Quaker or the G and B merit by Jake and most of those groups had their own rules

anyway so he would qualify to be married as part of that institution so if you

were a Methodist or a Baptist or someone that went to an independent church like

I do you were automatically disqualified from taking part which I think we can

all agree is wrong so there have been missteps all the way along here but the

basic idea that the state should say we've got people of lots of different

faiths and lots of different denominations in this country and so we

will define what are marriages and you guys no matter how strongly held your

positions may be you are going to have to learn to deal with the fact that the

rule of law comes first observation number four I've kind of already said

this but the only reason why the state had to take control in the first place

is because of the inconsistencies and the mess that been created by the Church

of England being in charge and finally observation number five is

that society is always changing and the role of the law is to continue to evolve

to reflect the society in which it lives you can try and force people's hand in

their behavior through the way that you set the law art

but that really only works if you have the consent of the majority to abide by

it the law of the land has to evolve with

society otherwise it's useless so we have to make additions to the law as new

technology comes about for example because until we have the Internet we

didn't need laws that governed our use of the internet so as society has

changed given that the church no longer has control over the definition of the

word marriage or the definition of the institution of marriage and hasn't had

for several hundred years it is counterproductive for the church to

behave as if it has all the answers when all of the evidence shows that after

millennia of control religious institutions couldn't be trusted to

define these things and to govern it properly in the interests of everybody

not just the people from one particular religious group or another the law has

to change as society changes it it just has to evolve the reality is that we

already have families of all shapes and sizes and the law of the land has to

evolve with society otherwise you end up with corruption and you end up with

disenfranchisement just like there was before 1753 when the state first started

to try to bring some definition and order to these things because the church

was incapable of doing so for me this is a civil rights issue as Christians we

can talk about our received ownership of marriage and the institution of marriage

as much as we like but when the reality is that fewer than 1/3 of the people on

this planet profess to be Christians it is inevitable that you're gonna end up

with legal forms of marriage outside of that one Christian man one Christian

woman ideal that's it for me I will be making more videos soon thanks for

watching please subscribe bye

Registering for VidCon and a Trilogy of Minor Fails | Kate's VidCon Adventures - Duration: 9:32.

Morning folks! It's Wednesday morning now and it's time for me to go and register for VidCon

so I'm gonna take a walk down to the convention center now. It's ten o'clock in the morning

and I don't really have any plans after that

I might hop on a bus and go somewhere or I might end up back here, I'm not really too sure

or I'll maybe make friends there. That seems a bit unlikely but you never know,

it depends how long the queue is I suppose. So I'm going to get going and you can come with me.

So yesterday when I passed here there wasn't very much going on and now there's a big line of food trucks

and I don't know if they're here for VidCon or if they're just coincidentally here.

My friend Patrick is arriving today, I'm going to be seeing him tomorrow for sure

and there's loads of other people coming as well.

I haven't really made any plans to meet up in particular with anybody today

but it should be interesting all the same just to see the hype start. I think this is gonna be fun.

[CROWD NOISE] I don't want to say this is the longest queue I've ever been in in the world

but it's probably right up there with quite a few of them.

We're currently standing in line and I thought getting here early might kind of help it to be a bit slower but no.

There's like a ton of people here. If I turn around this way that's where I need to get to, right at the back there.

So we're gonna be here a while, I maybe would've brought...

I don't know, anything to keep me amused if I'd realized it was gonna be this busy.

[1 HOUR LATER] Almost there now. If I was gonna do this again I would definitely bring food.

That's a must, I don't even care if it's like a box of cereal or something.

Next time I'm gonna bring the Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

because I am so ready for lunch after this and I'm so grateful for the food trucks, let's put it that way.

Hello! - Hi

Do you have a channel? - No. - She does!

These are the really cool folk, hello! - Hi You have a channel?

-Yeah What's your channel? I'll get it when we come round again.

Every time we go round, we meet the same folk again.

So the guy in the pink t-shirt was dancing when he first joined the line

and I just love that energy so we've kind of been speaking to each other as we go down the line.

So that will maybe be the end of our little friendship unless I see them again

cause they have creator passes it seems. Not creator passes, community.

Community passes, I have a creator pass.

So yeah it's just been so fun to even make little friends in the line and everything

it's been so fun. And you kind of see the same faces and things.

One hour later, I have my badge! I'm a creator so this is gonna be so so fun.

I'm really excited! I can't actually wait for tomorrow I think that's gonna be really very exciting.

I spent so long trying to decide which bag I wanted

because they've all got like different types of chocolates by Mars on them

and there's my VidCon program, I'll be reading through that later. Are those M&Ms on the back? Cool!

I could be wrong but I think Tyler Oakley is standing behind me there.

He's kind of attracting a crowd [laughs]. He was just kind of walking along and then

somebody saw him and said "Oh my God!" so yeah, he's really attracting a crowd there.

But yeah there we are. First - I suppose if you count Dodie, second YouTuber I've seen.

Okay there's somebody there as well. I feel so old, I don't know these people!

So I've just came back to drop off my VidCon stuff and I think I'm gonna head out again

but I don't really know where I'm going this time. I don't think I'm gonna take the bus anywhere

because there's not really anywhere to go, that's the thing.

Unless I spend ages going to VidCon

but I might take the bus to maybe Walmart or something and pick up some stuff.

I haven't really decided yet, you know what I'm like. Anything could happen when I get outside.

Anyways let's get going.

Text: "It was at this moment I realised I'd locked myself out. Good job Kate."

This is cute, I thought I was heading to Walmart but this is actually Walmart Neighborhood Market.

And it just looks like a little version of Walmart. Hopefully I'll still find everything I need.

I think I will because it looks about the size of one of our local supermarkets,

one of the quite small ones. But this should be interesting.

Oooft! It's a very hot day. I'm sure folk from California won't agree that it's a very hot day

but if you live in Scotland, you'll probably agree it's a very hot day.

Anyways I've been to Walmart now and I've just got back, I've got various groceries with me

and I got a couple of things to try. I've got Red Velvet Chips Ahoy and the new caramel flavored M&Ms.

They look very good, both of these look very good so I'm excited to try these

and I think it's time to get over to my testing corner.

I should probably clarify that I did buy other things at Walmart as well,

it's not that I just went and bought a load of rubbish.

I'm going to start with the caramel M&Ms because I've seen adverts for these everywhere.

[RUSTLING PACKET] I've ripped the seal-y thing already. One sec.

Okay I cannot find my scissors so I guess we're not doing a thing of the M&Ms right now, sorry about that!

So it's time for my Red Velvet Chips Ahoy. These sound delicious!

And I feel like I've ate these before but I'm pretty sure I haven't.

I've maybe seen them somewhere and thought about how cool they would be.

There we are, they look like this on the inside.

That looks very nice and apparently it's filled with cream cheese in the middle, so let's give this a try.

Mmm! If they had these in the UK, I would buy them all the time. These taste amazing.

We don't really have many Red Velvet flavored things in the UK so

that was a massive novelty to me to be able to try these and I thought they were absolutely delicious.

Okay, hi again folks! I'm just heading out from my hotel again

because my friend Patrick has finally made it to Anaheim

and he's hanging out with some friends in a hotel room and he's invited me, yay!

So I'm gonna go and do that. I don't look as cute as I did this morning. Now I just look wet.

Hello Sullivan! Sullivan: Oh my goodness, who are you?

Kate: I'm Kate's Adventures, but you're so much more famous than me Sullivan.

Sullivan: It's so nice to meet you, are you famous?

Kate: Um yes, very. Sullivan: I wanna be super duper famous.

Oooh look, we're going to Disneyland. Kate: We're going to Downtown Disney.

Sullivan: Downtown Disney? Is that different from Uptown Disney?

Kate: Yes, it's the much better version. Much better cheaper version.

Sullivan: Oh cheap is good, you know why? I don't have any money, you know why?

Kate: Why? Sullivan: No pockets. Kate: Oh, that's a very good reason.

Sullivan: I have absolutely nowhere to carry money. Kate:....I have no answer to that!

Sullivan: Okay well good luck getting really super famous

Kate: Yes and make sure to check out Sullivan. Sullivan: Bye bye. Kate: Bye!

We just got ridiculously lost in Disneyland.

We decided to cut through the hotel

instead of just coming out of Downtown Disney like the way anybody else would.

We ended up diverting through a pool and even when we got outside we were apparently in the wrong place.

It was mad. Yeah compared to everybody else who was vlogging...

BratKnee: Guys we just had to go straight. I'm gonna stand by this.

Kate: Yeah like we we made that ridiculously complicated.

Wesley: I found myself in there. Kate: You found yourself in Disneyland?

Wesley: When you're at your lowest, you find yourself. Kate: Yeah. That was a traumatic experience.

Wesley: When life just piles it all on, you feel like you're in a coffin

and you hear God or Disney himself shoveling it on, shoveling it on your coffin,

You find your way out. Have you seen Kill Bill?

You know what happens. You know what happens. You know!

And I'm back at the hotel again! I had a lovely evening there, I met up with Patrick and some of his friends.

Some of them I recognized from various places, others I'd never met before but they were all really really nice.

And we went to Downtown Disney, we went to a lovely Mexican restaurant. We had a little look around

and I got to see Downtown Disney at night as well which was absolutely beautiful.

We didn't see the evening entertainment tonight, we weren't really interested in any of that

and we didn't go to any parties or anything like that we just thought it would be more fun to just hang out

and get to know everybody. So that was a really really good evening and I really enjoyed it.

So I'm going to get to bed now because I'll be up bright and early for VidCon, or that's the theory at least!

So thanks very much for watching everybody, there's other video suggestions around the screen.

My subscribe button's down here if you want to check out my other stuff and get reminded when I upload again

and thanks very much for watching everybody, cheerio!

I've got fire for a heart

I'm not scared of the dark

You've never seen it look so easy

I got a river for a soul and baby you're a boat

Baby, you're my only reason

If I didn't have you there would be nothing left

The shell of a man that could never be his best

If I didn't have you I'd never see the sun

You taught me how to be someone, yeah

All my life you stood by me

When no one else was ever behind me

All these lights that can't blind me

With your love

Nobody can drag me down

Nobody, nobody

Nobody can drag me down

Nobody, nobody

Nobody can drag me down

I've got fire for a heart

I'm not scared of the dark

You've never seen it look so easy

I got a river for a soul and baby you're a bow

And baby you're my only reason

If I didn't have you there would be nothing left

The shell of a man who could never be his best

If I didn't have you I'd never see the sun

You taught me how to be someone, yeah

All my life you stood by me

When no one else was ever behind me

All these lights that can't blind me

With your love

Nobody can drag me dow

Nobody, nobody

Nobody can drag me down

Nobody, nobody

Nobody can drag me down

All my life you stood by me

When no one else was ever behind me

All these lights that can't blind me

With your love, nobody can drag me

All my life you stood by me

When no one else was ever behind me

All these lights that can't blind me

With your love

Nobody can drag me down

Nobody, nobody

Nobody can drag me down

Nobody, nobody

Nobody can drag me down

Nobody, nobody

Nobody can drag me down

Nobody, nobody

Nobody can drag me down
