hey guys and welcome back to my channel I'm so excited for this video because if
you guys saw on Instagram I recently posted a photo partnering with
Neutrogena I am creating a bunch of back-to-school looks with Neutrogena and
I asked you guys what you wanted to see and I'm gonna be creating a tutorial
based on the most requested makeup look in the comments which was something that
was gonna be natural and fresh and just bronzy and glowy and dewy so I'm very
excited to be doing this tutorial for you guys I've been using the Neutrogena
SkinClearing line and it's so great because I am known to really love to
experiment with makeup I'm always trying new things and so it's been really nice
to be able to use a line on my skin that's not going to break me out anymore
and in fact over time will help improve my skin I've been really enjoying this
line and I can't wait to show you guys how I have been using it and wearing it
I should have known you guys we're gonna pick something natural and glowy because
that's my personal favorite kind of looks especially for everyday so I'm
very excited this is very much me so first things first in the morning I like
to do my brows so I'm gonna go ahead and use the it cosmetics brow power pencil
I'm just gonna brush them up really quickly to kind of get the general shape
and then I'm gonna use the other side to fill it in so a pencil like this does
the trick for me alright so now I have my brows filled and we're gonna go ahead
and go straight into complexion the focus of this makeup look is going to be
on complexion because that is where I feel like the most time can be spent and
that's where like you'll look the most done up and I'm gonna show you how to
create a really simple eye and lip to complement the skin but for me the skin
is the priority so we're gonna go in with the Neutrogena SkinClearing
oil-free makeup so like I said before this is a foundation that is not going
to break you out it actually contains salicylic acid which is going to fight
the breakouts while you wear it which is so great for me it's really reassuring
to be able to wear a foundation that I know isn't going to mess up my skin
anymore and not only that but it has a really nice finish it's really
breathable and it helps control oils I've really been enjoying this
foundation so I'm gonna show you guys how I like to apply it by the way I am
using the shade classic ivory 10 and I'm just gonna kind of dot this on the face
and then I'm just gonna take make it brush and start to really blend
this out I've also been really liking how this foundation is full coverage but
it actually doesn't look heavy on the skin or cakey at all which I really
really like you can build it up but I've actually really been enjoying just doing
kind of like a nice layer all over the skin and then spot concealing where I
need it that way it doesn't look like too much makeup because if I can help it
I don't like to wear too much complexion products for like an everyday basis
especially if I'm not gonna be able to come home and touch it up or change my
makeup look I need it to look really nice throughout the day so I like to put
a layer all over the skin with a brush first and then I like to kind of press
it into the skin with a Beauty Blender just to kind of give it that more skin
like finish also make sure to blend it down the neck so that everything looks
seamless as you can see this provides a pretty nice matte finish and when it
comes to a long day ahead and especially if you're getting ready early in the
morning I feel like it's nice to kind of start with a matte base and then add the
glow back into the skin that way you have more of a long-lasting base that
you don't have to worry about getting oily or sliding around and you can add
back in the glow to the complexion to kind of freshen it up and make it look a
little bit more dewy when really the base is matte and it's gonna last all
day so next I'm going to go into the Neutrogena SkinClearing blemish
concealer it has a really nice doe foot applicator and you kind of twist the
bottom to let the product up and this is great to kind of spot conceal where we
need a little bit more coverage as you can see the foundation really evened out
my skin tone however there might be a few blemishes that I need a little bit
more coverage on just for me to feel comfortable personally so I'm gonna go
ahead and dab the concealer in those areas and I'm just gonna take that same
sponge to blend that out so one thing that you guys really suggested that I do
for a back-to-school makeup look was to make sure that they look made you appear
more awake and for me especially in the morning I have dark circles under the
eyes and so that's really important to kind of cancel those out I'm gonna be
using my Tarte shaped tape concealer for this and for me less is more with this
concealer but I really want to focus on brightening the under eye area I like to
start with it kind of further away from my under eye
that just kind of helps it from creasing to bad toward my lower lashline so I'm
just gonna take that same exact beauty sponge that we were using and start to
just blend this out underneath the eye and you'll see how even a little bit
really cancels out and brightens up that under-eye area which is going to be
important in our fresh and awake makeup look I'm also taking what's left and
kind of using that in this inner corner here to cancel out any blue that will
also help kind of cancel out any tiredness in this inner corner here I'm
just gonna blend out the concealer on this eye as well so with the concealer
under the eyes you really don't have to worry about setting it if you don't want
to or maybe you don't have time to but if you do tend to crease in the under
eye area I would recommend setting that I'm just gonna use my k'kaw Beauty
translucent powder just to kind of lock that in really lightly and I always
personally tend to crease on my eyelid so I'm gonna Pat out the concealer on
the top of the eyelid and just set that with the translucent powder so next I'm
gonna be taking the Neutrogena skin clearing mineral powder and I'm actually
gonna be taking the powder puff that comes inside of this powder you can use
the orange side for more sheer coverage or the white side for a more full
coverage I'm gonna be kind of switching I'm gonna start to just kind of press
this powder on the areas where I feel like I need more coverage and where I
don't want the coverage to disappear throughout the day so that's usually
around the cheeks and the jawline for me I'm just gonna press this instead of
wiping it because that will get rid of all of our hard work so I'm just making
sure everything is locked in for the day this is also a great powder to take with
you on the go if you need to blot throughout the day just throw this in
your purse or in your backpack and you'd be good to go alright so now we have the
coverage that we want and the finish that we want I am really liking how this
is looking now it's time to really add back in the life to the skin and the
glow as well I feel like a great way to kind of cancel out any tiredness in the
skin is to really bronze add some color back into the skin and then I'll show
you some tricks to to use on the eyes to really help your eyes look more awake
because I struggled with that in the morning as well so first off we're gonna
add a little bit more bronze to the skin I'm going to be using the Neutrogena
healthy skin blends natural radiance bronzer and I'm just going to be
this a little brush and I'm gonna start to kind of warm up the complexion around
the hairline also under the cheekbones and for this look we're not really going
to be concerned with a super contoured look obviously we do want to add warmth
and definition but we're gonna do that in a more diffused way and this is also
gonna save you time in the morning just kind of slap on the bronzer where the
Sun would naturally hit your skin I'm also running it down the sides of my
nose to kind of define that a little bit and then underneath the nose and under
the lip you can also bring it down on your neck if you want depending on what
shirt you're wearing just to kind of make sure everything looks nice and
cohesive you guys probably know my favorite trick when it comes to a quick
easy eye is to add a little bit of definition with the bronzer that you use
so for me personally I need some definition I feel in my crease so I'm
just gonna take that exact same bronzer and just quickly buff it through the
crease for some subtle definition it really doesn't need to be anything crazy
I just personally feel like even that little subtle definition makes a big
difference in the overall look I also like to run a little bit on the lower
lash line so for blush I'm gonna be using the Neutrogena Healthy Skin blush
and the shade 10 Rosie have you guys been following me for a while you know
I'm obsessed with the healthy skin blush in the shade of vibrant 20 this would
also be a great way to kind of liven up the face in the morning because this
color is so vibrant and so beautiful but I know a lot of you guys like a more
subtle soft blush so I'm gonna show you how to achieve the same kind of look
with a little bit more of a neutral color so I'm just gonna take a little
bit of this blush and I'm just gonna start to kind of sweep this on the
apples of the cheeks just kind of smile and pop it on the apples of the cheeks
and then blend it back toward the temples and it just adds such a healthy
glow back into the complexion honestly blush makes such a difference when
you're trying to look really fresh and awake in my opinion I'm also gonna take
some of that and just dust it through the crease as well at that same exact
brush that I was using with the bronzer in the eye
so for highlight I'm going to use the mary lou manizer highlighter so when it
comes to a long-lasting makeup look I personally feel like a lot of powders
for me alas the longest that doesn't mean you have to have a dull look so
adding a powder highlight is going to really help kind of bring that life back
into the skin so I'm gonna really kind of
him with this because I think that this is gonna make you look so fresh and so
awake so a good amount of highlighter I feel like is key for this look I also
always like to kind of smile and put it on the apples of my cheeks I don't know
why I just think that that also adds to the freshness of the look I'm also gonna
add some to the Cupid's bow down the center of the nose and while we have the
brush out I'm just gonna kind of dust it on the eyelids as well it's for a little
shimmer there and I'm also gonna pop some highlight into the inner corner of
the eye this is going to really help open up the eyes and make them look nice
and bright and awake so when it comes to an eye look I really wanted to do
something that would be easy to do in a short amount of time that's gonna be
flattering on everybody I feel like in the morning a lot of times we don't have
time to do a full on eyes shadow look at least I personally feel like I don't
like I'd rather spend time on the complexion and the rest I like to keep
simple just because I feel like that keeps the look nice and fresh and you
don't have to worry about the eye look kind of flaking off or looking weird
throughout the day so a great way to kind of lift the eyes and to make them
look awake without making them look too harsh is to use a brown eyeliner so I'm
gonna use this one from Neutrogena it's the nourishing eyeliner in the shade
spiced chocolate adding a thin line to the lash line is not only gonna create
the illusion that your eyes are a little bit more awake and more open but it's
also going to create the illusion that you have a more full lash line you can
do this with any color of eyeliner I chose brown for this look because it's a
more natural soft and approachable color and if you're kind of tired in the
morning you won't really be able to mess up with a brown as much as you would a
black eyeliner I'm just gonna go ahead and scribble this between the lashes and
I am going from inner corner to outer corner and if you want to you can kind
of create the eyeliner line thinner in the inner corner and then thicker on the
outer corner and what that's gonna do is kind of create a more cat eye effect
once you apply mascara so that's what I typically like to do with my eye shape
and regardless you always want to make sure that the eye liner in this inner
corner is thinner than the eye liner around here otherwise it can kind of
weigh your eyes down now I'm going with the other side of the pencil and just
kind of smudging out the line when in doubt blend it out sometimes the more
smudged out the eye liner is the better it looks which is great right the
Messier the better sometimes obviously you want
to kind of keep it in the same general area but don't be afraid to kind of buff
out your eyeliner so now I'm just gonna pop on mascara I'm gonna be using
thrive cosmetics and I'm gonna put a good amount of mascara on the top lashes
to kind of keep the focus there and to keep the eyes nice and lifted
so after mascara I like to kind of wipe off any foundation that got on the lips
and for a lip product I really didn't want to do anything that was gonna be
too complicated that we had to worry about reapplying throughout the day or
that would wear off funny so I decided that a tinted lip balm was gonna be the
best bet so I picked up the Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm in the shade sunny
berry which is this really gorgeous kind of raspberry shade and this is what I'm
gonna use my lips this is totally something you could put in your pocket
and your backpack and it just brings more life to the skin since the eyes are
very simple the cheeks and the lips are really the focal point here and I feel
like that just ties the whole look together I'm also going to really
quickly set the brows with glossy Aboy brow this is easy and foolproof great
for a natural looking brow and of course if you've got time you got a step back
and assess the situation I think I want more bronzer again
I love bronzer especially when I have my hair up I love to kind of work it into
the hairline right here it just kind of makes it look more natural like you were
actually on vacation a little bit more down the neck taking what's left on the
blush brush and kind of adding a little more blush to the t-zone that just makes
your skin look healthy I feel like so I always have to do that all right let's
set the face when you're in a rush you probably wouldn't want to do my
three-step set however it would make sure that your makeup lasts all day
again with this foundation though it really does last all day there's great
oil control so since I'm starting with a matte base already I don't really have
to worry too much about kind of locking in any oils like I usually do when I'm
doing something more dewy and luminous let's give this fixed plus a world
it smells so good where's my fan oh no where's my handi fan here we are just to
make sure I don't get too much shine though in the t-zone I'm gonna take that
powder puff and just really lightly tap over the areas on the face that I don't
want any shine you can also always add some highlight to the collarbones if you
want to look dewy so there you have it you guys that completes this makeup look
it's so fresh it's full coverage perfect for every day but again it's gonna be
easy and simple you can really do this in just a few minutes before school or
before work and you're gonna look more alive more awake and this is like one of
my favorite looks to do obviously this is also going to be really long lasting
and the most beneficial part is the fact that this foundation is going to help
heal your skin along the way and it won't cause breakouts and it will
prevent any future breakouts so you're gonna continue to have a glowing
complexion using this foundation I honestly really like the finish of this
and it's super long wearing perfect for back-to-school and thanks guys for your
suggestions I hope you like this look as much as I do I'm gonna be taking some of
