We've been doing all we can!

Dad. That thing we saw take Ned.

It was ManBearPig.

It's was real.

What are you talking about?

It was just a bear.

No dad it's...

Why do you keep looking at the TV?

What? Why? I dunno. What?

You've been playing Red Dead Redemption?

A LITTLE bit! I mean...

When I'm not doing all the stuff for YOU.

(*)

(*)

>> Rosemary: ON THIS SUNDAY

NIGHT...

(*)

AS CANADIANS PAUSE TO REMEMBER

SERVICE AND SACRIFICE, WORLD

LEADERS WARN ABOUT THE RISE OF

NATIONALISM.

>> Prime Minister Justin

Trudeau: WHEN PEOPLE FEEL THEIR

INSTITUTIONS CAN'T PROTECT THEM

THEY LOOK FOR EASY ANSWERS.

>> Rosemary: A VERY POINTED

CALL FOR GLOBAL TOLERANCE 100

YEARS AFTER THE END OF THE FIRST

WORLD WAR.

>>> AND LATER...

>> I ALSO ESPECIALLY THINK OF

THE SOLDIERS WHO HAVE COME HOME

WITH WOUNDS THAT WE CAN'T SEE.

>> Rosemary: HER SON, THOMAS,

TOOK HIS OWN LIFE AFTER A TOUR

IN AFGHANISTAN.

TONIGHT A POWERFUL CONVERSATION

WITH THE SILVER CROSS MOTHER

ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH IN THE

MILITARY AND WHAT IT MEANS TO BE

RECOGNISED ON THIS REMEMBRANCE

DAY.

>> Andrew: PLUS... DEVASTATION

IN CALIFORNIA.

>> WE THOUGHT THAT WE WERE GOING

TO DIE.

>> Andrew: DOZENS ARE STILL

MISSING AND THE BATTLE AGAINST

THE WIND AND THE FLAMES ARE FAR

FROM OVER.

SO HOW DID THE DISASTER TURN

POLITICAL?

THIS IS "THE NATIONAL."

(*)

(*)

>> Rosemary: 100 YEARS AGO

TODAY MILLION OF MEN LAY DOWN

THEIR GUNS, THE ARMISTICE

BRINGING AN END TO THE FIRST

WORLD WAR.

A CENTURY LATER WORLD LEADERS

GATHERED AGAIN IN FRANCE CALLING

FOR UNITY AND SOME WARNING

AGAINST HATEFUL AND DIVISIVE

POLITICS.

BUT LET'S BEGIN HERE IN CANADA

WHERE HERE AT THE NATIONAL WAR

MEMORIAL SILENCE SERVED AS A

POWERFUL REMINDER OF THE SCALE

OF THE SACRIFICE.

(*)

>> HOW DO WE SHOW GRATITUDE TO

OUR VETERANS?

BY EMBRACING THEM, BY HUGGING

THEM, BY EXPRESSING OUR

APPRECIATION TO EVERY VETERAN WE

MEET IN ALL PLACES AND AT ALL

TIMES.

BY TEACHING OUR CHILDREN HOW

MUCH IN THEIR DEBT WE ALWAYS

WILL BE.

WE REFLECT ON THE NOTION OF A

WORLD WAR.

WE ASK, IF THE WORLD CAN BE AT

WAR, IS IT NOT POSSIBLE FOR THE

WORLD TO BE AT PEACE?

(*)

>> THE NATIONAL SILVER CROSS

MOTHER, MISS ANITA CENERINI, IS

THE MOTHER OF THE LATE PRIVATE

THOMAS WELCH.

HE WAS THE FIRST CANADIAN

SOLDIER TO DIE BY SUICIDE AFTER

SERVING IN AFGHANISTAN.

>> ANITA REPRESENTS MOTHERS WHO

HAVE LOST LOVED ONES TO SUICIDE

AS A RESULT OF BATTLEFIELD

WOUNDS THAT WE CAN'T SEE.

AND I THINK THAT ALL OF US

PROUDLY STAND WITH HER TO

RECOGNIZE THAT PHENOMENA, THAT

HORRIBLE PHENOMENA, AND TO

HONOUR THEM AS WELL.

(*)

(singing).

>> I'M AMAZED BY WHAT THEY DID

AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE BECAUSE THEY

WERE ALL, YOU KNOW, BASICALLY

JUST TEENAGERS OR A LITTLE OLDER

AT THE TIME TO VOLUNTEER FOR

THEIR COUNTRY.

(*)

[BAGPIPES PLAYING]

>> I THINK THAT IT'S IMPORTANT

TO GO BACK, TO REMEMBER OUR

VALUES, REMEMBER WHAT WE HAVE

LEARNED FROM THE PAST AND MOVING

FORWARD DON'T LOSE SIGHT OF WHAT

THEY FOUGHT FOR.

>> Rosemary: LEARNING FROM THE

PAST AND MOVING FORWARD IS WHY

PRIME MINISTER JUSTIN TRUDEAU

AND 60 OTHER WORLD LEADERS WERE

BROUGHT TOGETHER IN FRANCE WHERE

THE ARMISTICE WAS SIGNED.

THE FRENCH PRESIDENT WARNED THAT

THE FORCES THAT DROVE COUNTRIES

TO WAR A CENTURY AGO ARE ONCE

THE FORCES THAT DROVE COUNTRIES

TO WAR A CENTURY AGO ARE ONCE

AGAIN ON THE RISE, WHILE TRUDEAU

HAD A WARNING OF HIS OWN.

THE CBC'S TOM PARRY IS IN PARIS.

>> Reporter: 100 YEARS LATER,

SINCE THE GUNS FELL SILENT,

WORLD LEADERS CAME TOGETHER IN A

SHOW OF UNITY.

>> [Speaking French]

>> Reporter: FRENCH PRESIDENT

EMMANUEL MACRON REMINDED HIS

FELLOW LEADERS OF THE HORRENDOUS

COSTS OF WAR AND HE WARNED OF

WHAT HE CALLED "OLD DEMONS

RISING TO THE SURFACE."

>> [Speaking French]

>> Reporter: NATIONALISM IS

THE OPPOSITE OF PATRIOTISM,

MACRON SAID, WHEN WE SAY OUR

INTERESTS FIRST, WHO CARES ABOUT

THE OTHERS, WE ERASE WHAT A

NATION HOLDS DEAREST -- ITS

MORAL VALUES.

MACRON'S MESSAGE WAS DELIVERED

IN FRONT OF DONALD TRUMP, A

SELF-DESCRIBED NATIONALIST AND

CHAMPION OF AMERICA FIRST.

THE U.S. PRESIDENT WAS LISTENING

JUST STEPS AWAY BUT IF HE WAS

OFFENDED IT DIDN'T SHOW AND

MACRON WAS NOT ALONE IN HIS

WARNING.

>> Prime Minister Justin

Trudeau: IF DEMOCRACY IS TO

FUNCTION YOU NEED TO HAVE AN

EDUCATED POPULOUS AND YOU NEED

TO HAVE AN INFORMED POPULOUS.

>> Reporter: JUSTIN TRUDEAU

SPOKE AFTER TODAY'S CEREMONY AT

THE PARIS PEACE FORUM, ORGANIZED

TO MARK THIS 100-YEAR3

THE PARIS PEACE FORUM, ORGANIZED

TO MARK THIS 100-YEAR

ANNIVERSARY.

TRUDEAU CALLED OUT THOSE IN

POWER WHO ATTACK THE MEDIA

SAYING THAT CAN ONLY WEAKEN

DEMOCRACY.

>> Prime Minister Justin

Trudeau: WHEN PEOPLE FEEL THAT

THEIR INSTITUTIONS CAN'T PROTECT

THEM THEY LOOK FOR EASY ANSWERS

IN POPULISM, AND IN NATIONALISM,

IN CLOSING BORDERS, AND SHUTTING

DOWN TRADE, IN XENOPHOBIA.

>> Rosemary: TRUDEAU DIDN'T

MENTION ANY POLITICIANS BY NAME,

BUT RUSSIAN PRESIDENT VLADIMIR

PUTIN WHO TRUDEAU SAT NEXT TO AT

THE PEACE FORUM HAS BEEN ACCUSED

OF USING SOCIAL MEDIA TO FOSTER

CONFUSION AND INFLUENCE

ELECTIONS.

TRUDEAU NEVER MENTIONED DONALD

TRUMP EITHER BUT THE U.S.

PRESIDENT ROUTINELY CALLS THE

MEDIA "ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE"

AND HAS A HABIT OF LABELING ANY

STORY HE DOESN'T LIKE "FAKE

NEWS."

TRUMP WASN'T THERE TO HEAR

TRUDEAU ANYWAYS, HE SKIPPED THE

PEACE FORUM ALL TOGETHER.

TOM PARRY, CBC NEWS, PARIS.

>> Rosemary: AND IN THE FINAL

HOURS BEFORE PEACE CANADA'S

SOLDIERS HAD ONE LAST DUTY IN

THE FIRST WORLD WAR -- TO

CAPTURE THE BELGIAN CITY OF

MONS.

AND THEY DID IT AT GREAT

SACRIFICE.

AND TODAY A GREAT SHOW OF

GRATITUDE FOR THAT SACRIFICE AND

THE CBC'S NAHLAH AYED WAS THERE.

(*)

* PACK UP YOUR TROUBLES IN YOUR

OLD KIT BAG AND SMILE SMILE

SMILE *

>> Reporter: TAKE AWAY THE BIG

SCREENS AND MODERN CLOTHES AND

THE CELLPHONES AND AT TIMES IN

THE CITY OF MONS TODAY IT COULD

HAVE BEEN A HUNDRED YEARS AGO.

THAT WAS THE AIM OF THE ROYAL

HIGHLANDERS OF CANADA, ALSO

CALLED THE BLACK WATCH, TO

RECREATE THE REGIMENT'S MARCH

INTO MONS AS LIBERATORS ON

NOVEMBER 11, 1918.

>> WE JUST DID THE SAME ROUTE

THAT THIS PIPE BAND DID 100

YEARS AGO, EXACTLY THE SAME

ROUTE.

WE JUST TOOK A BAND PICTURE AT

THE SAME PLACE WHERE OUR TROOPS

STAYED A HUNDRED YEARS AGO, AND

THE SAME BAND PICTURE, IF YOU

WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT WE'VE GOT

IT.

SO YOU PUT ALL OF THAT TOGETHER

AND IT CAN BE NOTHING BUT

EMOTIONAL.

>> Reporter: LYLE DAVIDSON'S

GRANDFATHER, WILLIAM, FOUGHT IN

THE WAR AND MARCHED HERE TOO.

>> HE HAD MEMORIES THAT HE

SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD.

AND SO REMEMBER, YOU KNOW,

THAT'S A BIG THING.

>> Reporter: PREPARATIONS FOR

THIS DAY HAVE BEEN YEARS IN THE

MAKING.

FOR VISITING CANADIANS TOO, LIKE

THIS HIGH SCHOOL HISTORY TEACHER

FROM LINDSAY, ONTARIO, WHO SAVED

FOR TWO YEARS TO GET HERE.

>> IT'S THE BEGINNING OF OUR

COURSE, WE START WITH WORLD WAR

I AND IT WAS TEENAGERS LIKE

THEM, YOUNG MEN AND YOUNG WOMEN

COMING OVER AS NURSES.

WE TRIED TO MAKE IT AS PERSONAL

AND

TRY TO COME UP WITH HOW THEY

WOULD FEEL IN THOSE SITUATIONS.

>> Reporter: HERE TOO

CANADIANS MARCHED IN THEIR

PREDECESSORS' FOOTSTEPS IN THE

SAME SWAY, THOUGH THEY WERE

DEEPLY TRAUMATIZED THEN AND

EXHAUSTED.

>> WHEN YOU REACHED UP THE

SQUARE AND IN THE FRONT OF THE

TOWNHALL IT WAS PACKED WITH

PEOPLE CHEERING AND SINGING AND

DANCING.

>> Reporter: THE WORDS OF A

CANADIAN SOLDIER THEN READ BY A

CANADIAN SOLDIER NOW.

TODAY TOO THE APPRECIATION WAS

ON DISPLAY.

THE MAYOR SYMBOLICALLY HANDED

THE CITY'S KEYS TO MAJOR DAVE

RUCELL OF THE 22nd REGIMENT,

GIVING THE KEYS TO THE CANADIAN

FORCES.

>> CANADA IS A HUMBLE NATION AND

WE STAND WITH YOU IN SOLIDARITY,

VIGILANT THAT SUCH DARK DAYS MAY

NEVER ENTER OUR HOMES NOR SUCH

SHADOWS FALL ACROSS OUR HEARTS

EVER AGAIN.

>> Reporter: THESE ARE

MARKEDLY DIFFERENT TIMES, BUT

THEN AS NOW THE PEACE IS

PRECIOUS.

NAHLAH AYED, CBC NEWS, MONS,

BELGIUM.

>> Rosemary: I'LL BE BACK A

LITTLE LATER FROM OTTAWA WITH MY

CONVERSATION WITH THIS YEAR'S

SILVER CROSS MOTHER.

ANITA CENERINI'S SON, THOMAS,

TOOK HIS OWN LIFE JUST THREE

MONTHS AFTER RETURNING HOME FROM

AFGHANISTAN.

SHE FOUGHT TIRELESSLY AFTER HIS

DEATH FOR HIM TO RECEIVE FULL

MILITARY HONOURS.

>> I WAS ALWAYS DETERMINED FROM

THE BEGINNING THAT -- AND

BELIEVED THAT THOMAS' DEATH

WOULD BE CLASSIFIED AS BEING

ATTRIBUTABLE TO SERVICE.

AND TO LAY HIM TO REST IN A

PLACE THAT NOT JUST HONOURED WHO

HE WAS AS A PERSON BUT TO HAVE

HIS ASHES REST IN A PLACE THAT

WOULD FINALLY GIVE HIM HONOUR,

THE HONOUR THAT HE DESERVED.

>> Rosemary: WE ALSO TALKED

ABOUT THE MOMENTS THAT SHE KNEW

HER SON WAS GOING TO WAR,

ANDREW,

AND HOW THAT CHANGED HIM.

AND THE IMPORTANCE, OF COURSE,

OF BREAKING DOWN THE STIGMA

AROUND MENTAL HEALTH IN THE

MILITARY.

THAT'S STILL AHEAD ON "THE

NATIONAL."

BUT FIRST OVER TO YOU THERE IN

TORONTO.

>> Andrew: OF COURSE, ROSIE.

WE ARE KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON

THOSE WILDFIRES THAT ARE BURNING

IN CALIFORNIA TODAY.

>> WELCOME TO MY HOME IN MALIBU.

>> Andrew: THE DANGER IS FAR

FROM OVER.

FIREFIGHTERS ARE STILL

STRUGGLING TO CONTAIN THREE

DEVASTATING FIRES BECAUSE HOT,

DRY WINDS RETURNED TO THE

ROONLION TODAY.

AT LEAST 31 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN

KILLED.

MORE THAN 200 PEOPLE NOW

REPORTED MISSING.

AND THOUSANDS OF HOMES ARE

DESTROYED.

MOST IN A UP TO CALLED PARADISE,

OBLIBERATED BY FIRE.

AND WHERE AS KIM BRUNHUBER

REPORTS, RESIDENTS HAD ARE

HARROWING JOURNEY TO SAFETY.

>> Reporter: JUST IMAGINE FIRE

ON EITHER SIDES OF THE ROAD, AND

FLAMES LICKING THE UNDERCARRIAGE

OF YOUR CAR AND THEN YOUR CAR

DIES.

>> WE WERE JUST SITTING THERE

AND WE THOUGHT THAT WE WERE

GOING TO DIE.

IF WE WOULD HAVE WAITED FIVE

MORE

MINUTES WE WOULDN'T BE HERE

TODAY.

>> Reporter: LINING THE ROADS

TODAY A GHOSTLY CARAVAN OF CARS

ABANDONED BY THOSE STUCK IN

GRIDLOCK.

IT WAS FASTER TO RUN.

160 KILOMETRES NORTH OF

SACRAMENTO MORE THAN 6,000 HOMES

GONE.

FIRE DEVOURED NEIGHBOURHOODS IN

MINUTES.

THE QUAINT TOWN OF PARADISE

REDUCED TO ASH AND RUBBLE.

>> THERE AIN'T NOTHING TO GO

BACK TO AND, YOU KNOW, WE'RE

BACK TO AND, YOU KNOW, WE'RE

BASICALLY HOMELESS RIGHT NOW.

>> Reporter: NOW A FRENZIED

DESPERATE SEARCH FOR THE MISSING

AND A SLOW METICULOUS SEARCH FOR

THE DEAD.

IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TWO MORE

FIRES, SMALLER, LESS DEADLY BUT

GROWING FAST.

GROWING FAST.

A QUARTER OF A MILLION PEOPLE

ORDERED TO EVACUATE THEIR HOMES

AND WHOLE TOWNS SUDDENLY

EMPTIED.

>> IT'S HARD TO IMAGINE, IT'S

JUST MASSIVE LOSS IN SUCH A

SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.

>> Reporter: TYLER STAYED TO

FIGHT3

>> Reporter: TYLER STAYED TO

FIGHT THE RAPIDLY APPROACHING

FIRE FROM HIS ROOFTOP.

HIS HOME SURVIVED AND OTHERS DID

NOT.

>> WE THOUGHT THAT WE WERE READY

AND WE HOSED EVERYTHING DOWN BUT

WHEN IT CAME OVER THIS RIDGE

RIGHT HERE BEHIND US IT WAS A

HUNDRED FOOT WALL OF FLAMES.

>> Reporter: IN THIS WEALTHY

ENCLAVE OF MALIBU A BEACH IS A

MENAGERIE FOR ANIMALS THAT

OWNERS LEFT BEHIND.

A MANSION POOL A FILL-UP STATION

FOR WATER BOMBERS.

THE HOT, DRY SANTA ANA WINDS

SHOW NO SIGN OF LETTING UP.

>> WE ARE EXPECTING SIMILAR FIRE

BEHAVIOUR AND WINDS TOMORROW.

>> Reporter: FROM SOME WHO

LOST EVERYTHING A PROMISE THAT

THEY WILL BE BACK.

>> GOT TO BE STRONG, YOU KNOW.

WE REBUILD AND THIS IS WHERE WE

LIVE.

>> Reporter: A FIREFIGHTER

RESCUES AN AMERICAN FLAG,

CAREFUL TO NOT LET IT HIT THE

GROUND, DRAPES IT CAREFULLY

OVER A MAILBOX FOR THOSE WHO

WILL RETURN.

KIM BRUNHUBER, CBC NEWS, LOS

ANGELES.

>> Andrew: NOW SOME IN

CALIFORNIA ARE ACCUSING THE U.S.

PRESIDENT OF ADDING INSULT TO

THEIR INJURY AFTER HE TWEETED

ABOUT THE FIRES.

DONALD TRUMP SEEMED TO BLAME

STATE OFFICIALS FOR THE

DEVASTATION AND ISSUED A THREAT.

PAUL HUNTER HAS THAT STORY.

>> Reporter: TRUTH IS THERE'S

LONG BEEN A DEBATE IN CALIFORNIA

OVER FORESTRY MANAGEMENT, BUT

EXPERTS INSIST THAT THERE'S NO

SINGLE CAUSE TO WHAT'S HAPPENING

THERE RIGHT NOW.

RATHER, IT'S A MIX OF THINGS,

INCLUDING THAT, BUT ALSO CLIMATE

CHANGE, DRY WEATHER, HIGH WINDS,

AND URBAN GROWTH.

ADDING, MOST OF CALIFORNIA'S

FORESTS ARE MANAGED BY THE

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ANYWAY.

AND YET TWEETED THE PRESIDENT

SATURDAY, "THERE IS NO REASON

FOR THESE MASSIVE, DEADLY AND

COSTLY FOREST FIRES IN

CALIFORNIA EXCEPT THAT FOREST

MANAGEMENT IS SO POOR."

THREATENING TO CUT BILLIONS IN

FEDERAL MONEY TO CALIFORNIA

UNLESS AS HE PUT IT, "THEY

REMEDY NOW."

OR AS HE TWEETED TODAY, "GET

SMART."

ALL OF THIS WHILE CALIFORNIANS

WATCH THE FLAMES GROW.

>> THIS LATE IN THE FIRE SEASON

TO HAVE THIS KIND OF

DEVASTATION, IT JUST TAKES YOUR

BREATH AWAY.

>> Reporter: ADAM SCHIFF, THE

DEMOCRATIC LAWMAKER FOR L.A.

COUNTY, TODAY SLAMMED TRUMP FOR

THREATENING TO PULL FEDERAL

MONEY AND SUGGESTING THAT IT'S

POLITICAL PAYBACK FOR A STATE

THAT BROADLY REJECTS TRUMP'S

POLICY.

>> IT GOES TO SHOW HOW LITTLE HE

UNDERSTANDS THE JOB THAT HE HAS

THATHOOD BE PUNITIVE AT A

TIME OF LIKE THIS, RATHER THAN

COMING TO THE DEFENCE OF PEOPLE

FACING THE WORST DISASTER OF

THEIR LIVES.

HE IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO WOULD

VOTE FOR HIM, AND THE REST HE

COULD CARE LESS.

>> Reporter: IN A RARE SIGN OF

PARTISAN CONSENSUS, EVEN A KEY

REPUBLICAN TODAY URGED TRUMP TO

EASE UP.

>> NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO TALK

ABOUT CUTTING OFF MONEY, WITH

ALL DUE RESPECT, WE NEED TO HELP

OUR FRIENDS IN CALIFORNIA IF

THEY NEED HELP.

>> Reporter: TRUMP CRITIC KATY

PERRY CALLED THE PRESIDENT'S

COMMENTS "HEARTLESS."

EVEN FIREFIGHTERS PUSHED BACK.

THE HEAD OF THE STATE'S LARGEST

FIREFIGHTER GROUP CALLED TRUMP

"AN IDIOT" AND LABELLING HIS

TWEET ILL-INFORMED AND SHAMEFUL,

ADDING "NOW IS THE TIME FOR

SUPPORT AND NOT RECRIMINATION

AND BLAME."

PAUL HUNTER, CBC NEWS,

WASHINGTON.

>> Andrew: NEW REVELATIONS

TONIGHT ABOUT THE MURDER OF A

CANADIAN MAN IN THE PHILIPPINES.

BARRY GAMMON WAS SHOT TO DEATH

THIS PAST JUNE.

"A FIFTH ESTATE" INVESTIGATION

REVEALED THAT

HE WAS KILLED AFTER A DISPUTE

WITH CHURCH MEMBERS IN THE

PHILIPPINES.

THE IGLESIA NI CRISTO AS IT'S

CALLED HAS MILLIONS OF

FOLLOWERS AROUND THE WORLD,

INCLUDING CANADA.

BOB McKEOWN INVESTIGATED THE

CHURCH, ITS CONNECTIONS TO

CANADA, AND ALLEGATIONS THAT ITS

MEMBERS IN THE PHILIPPINES ARE

TIED TO FINANCIAL

IRREGULARITIES, KIDNAPPING AND

MURDER.

>> Reporter: LUZIE GAMMON IS

SEARCHING FOR THE MAN WHO KILLED

HER HUSBAND.

>> SO, LUZIE, WE TRIED TO GET AS

MANY PICTURES AS WE CAN...

>> Reporter: UNTIL RECENTLY

SHE AND HER CANADIAN SPOUSE

BARRY LIVED IN THE PHILIPPINES.

THEY HAD BUILT THEIR DREAM HOME

AND HAD A SON.

IT WAS A PEACEFUL LIFE UNTIL A

CHURCH WENT UP NEXT DOOR CALLED

IGLESIA NI CRISTO, KNOWN AS

I.N.C.

THAT'S WHEN AN ESCALATING

DISPUTE BEGAN

ABOUT CONSTRUCTION AND TRAFFIC

NOISE 24/7.

>> OUR SON IS AWAKE.

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE PEACE

IN THAT?

>> YOU'RE ON MY [BLEEP]

PROPERTY.

>> Reporter: BARRY RECORDED

THIS CONFRONTATION WITH AN

I.N.C. MEMBER ON HIS PHONE.

>> [indiscernible]

>> Reporter: THEN LAST JUNE

ANOTHER MAN APPEARED WITH A GUN.

>> THIS GUY CAME IN AND JUST

SHOOTING AND JUST KEEP ON

SHOOTING AND SHOOTING.

>> Reporter: BARRY GAMMON DIED

OF HIS WOUNDS THAT NIGHT.

BASED IN THE PHILIPPINES WITH

OVER 80 CONGREGATIONS IN CANADA,

THE CHURCH HAS MILLIONS OF

FOLLOWERS WORLDWIDE AND

INCREASINGLY ALLEGATIONS AGAINST

MEMBERS OF FINANCIAL

IMPROPRIETY, KIDNAPPING, MURDER.

NO ONE KNOWS THAT BETTER THAN

LOWELL MENORCA, A PROMINENT

I.N.C. MINISTER,

UNTIL HE WAS ACCUSED OF LEAKING

CHURCH SECRETS.

>> THEY FRISKED ME, HANDCUFFED

ME AND PUT A JACKET OVER MY HEAD

AND DRAGGED ME OUT OF THE

COMPOUND.

>> Reporter: EVENTUALLY

MENORCA FLED TO VANCOUVER AND

GIVEN REFUGE PROTECTION.

CANADIAN AUTHORITIES SAID THAT

THE CHURCH HAD THE MEANS AND THE

MOTIVATION TO KILL HIM.

TODAY HE'S HELPING LUZIE GAMMON

AND HER 7-YEAR-OLD SON J.J. TO

SETTLE IN

CANADA TOO AND TO FIND HER

HUSBAND'S KILLER.

>> I WANTED TO ASK YOU, LUZIE,

ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY SURE THIS IS

THE GUY WHO SHOT BARRY?

>> YES, I'M 100% SURE IT'S HIM.

I KNOW IT'S HIM AND I CAN FEEL

IN MY HEART THAT IT'S HIM.

>> ME TOO.

>> YOU TOO?

>> UM-HMM.

>> ARE YOU SURE THAT IT'S HIM?

>> UM-HMM.

>> YOU SAW HIM?

>> Reporter: THE MAN THAT

LUZIE IDENTIFIED HAS I.N.C.

CONNECTIONS AND THE LOCAL POLICE

SAY THAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN

TRIGGERED WITH HIS DISPUTE WITH

MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH.

I.N.C. ITSELF DENIES INVOLVEMENT

IN THAT MURDER OR VIOLENCE OF

ANY KIND.

>> I PROMISED MY HUSBAND THAT I

WILL NOT STOP UNTIL I FIND

JUSTICE FOR HIM.

>> Reporter: NOW IN B.C.,

LUZIE GAMMON HAS GONE TO THE

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HOPING THAT

CANADA CAN SPUR PHILIPPINE

POLICE TO FIND AND HOLD

ACCOUNTABLE THE MAN WHO SHE SAYS

KILLED HER HUSBAND.

BOB McKEOWN, CBC NEWS,

VANCOUVER.

>> Andrew: CBC NEWS HAS BEEN

IN TOUCH WITH GLOBAL AFFAIRS

CANADA AND THEY SAY THEY'RE IN

CONTACT WITH THE LOCAL

AUTHORITIES IN THE PHILIPPINES

TO GATHER ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

ABOUT THE MURDER OF BARRY

GAMMON.

>>> HERE'S A LOOK AT OTHER

STORIES THAT WE'RE FOLLOWING

TONIGHT ON "THE NATIONAL"...

>>> SOME OF THE 82 CANADIANS WHO

SURVIVED A CRASH LANDING AT AN

AIRPORT

IN GUYANA ARE BACK IN CANADA AND

TELLING THEIR STORIES.

>> PEOPLE WERE SCREAMING AND

THEY'RE CURSING AND THEY'RE

PRAYING AND THEY'RE LIKE THERE'S

SO MUCH CHAOS GOING ON AND IT

WOULDN'T END.

THESE ARE THE BIG CONCRETE

SPIKES THAT BROKE THE WHEELS

OFF.

>> Andrew: THE AIRLINE, FLY

JAMAICA, SAID TODAY THAT IT'S

TOO

EARLY TO COMMENT ON THE CAUSE OF

THE CRASH.

THEY'RE STILL WORKING TO GET

MANY OF THE 120 PASSENGERS HOME.

>> TIME LET ME HAIL AND CLIMB,

GOLDEN IN THE HEYDAY OF HIS

EYES.

>> Andrew: CANADIAN ACTOR

DOUGLAS RAIN DIED TODAY.

HE WAS A VETERAN OF

THE STRATFORD FESTIVAL AND EARLY

CANADIAN TELEVISION PRODUCTIONS

BUT HE MADE PERHAPS HIS BIGGEST

MARK ON POP CULTURE AS THE VOICE

OF HOWELL THE COMPUTER IN THE

LANDMARK FILM "2001: SPACE

ODYSSEY."

>> YOU DON'T MIND TALKING ABOUT

IT, DO YOU, DAVE?

>> Andrew: DOUGLAS RAIN WAS 90

YEARS OLD.

>> Rosemary: WE HAVE A LOT

MORE AHEAD FOR YOU TONIGHT ON

THIS REMEMBRANCE DAY... WE'LL

TAKE YOU TO AN

ABANDONED ISLAND IN

NEWFOUNDLAND, ONCE HOME TO A

THRIVING COMMUNITY UNTIL THE

FIRST WORLD WAR.

DAVID COMMON IS THERE AS A MAN

WHO GREW UP ON THE ISLAND

RETURNS HOME.

>>> AND DECADES AFTER SHE WORKED

AS A WAR PLANE ELECTRICIAN, A

91-YEAR-OLD

WOMAN COMES FACE-TO-FACE A PLANE

THAT SHE HELPED TO BUILD.

HER MOMENT IS OUR "MOMENT OF THE

DAY."

>> Andrew: IT'S A GREAT STORY.

FIRST THOUGH, A "GO PUBLIC"

INVESTIGATION.

A BANK CUSTOMER HAS

A HUNCH THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG

WITH HER ACCOUNT AND SHE WINDS

UP FIGHTING FOR YEARS TO GET A

COPY OF HER OWN RECORD.

>> AT THIS POINT IT'S REALLY NOT

ABOUT THE MONEY, IT'S ABOUT WHAT

THEY'VE DONE, HOW THEY'VE DONE

IT, AND HOW THEY WOULD HAVE

ALMOST GOT AWAY WITH IT HAD I

NOT BEEN SO STUBBORN.

(*)

(*)

>> Andrew: A WOMAN WHO SPENT

TWO YEARS BATTLING HER BANK FOR

HER OWN FINANCIAL RECORDS IS

GOING PUBLIC TONIGHT, DEFYING A

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT TO

SHED LIGHT ON WHAT SHE SAYS IS A

SECRETIVE SYSTEM THAT IS STACKED

AGAINST THE CUSTOMER.

SHE TOLD HER STORY TO ROSA

MARCHITELLI.

>> SO THIS IS SOME OF MY

FILES...

>> Reporter: ALL OF THAT

PAPERWORK IS THE RESULT OF TWO

YEARS OF FIGHTING CIBC FOR HER

OWN ACCOUNT RECORD, A RECORD

THAT RHONDA MCMILLAN BELIEVED

THAT WOULD CONFIRM UNAUTHORIZED

ACTIVITY ON HER ACCOUNT.

>> I'M PRETTY PERSISTENT BUT I

WAS GETTING WORN DOWN.

>> Reporter: AFTER FILING A

COMPLAINT WITH THE BANK'S

OMBUDSMAN SHE FINALLY GOT

THE DOCUMENT, BUT HAD TO SIGN A

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT,

PROMISING NOT TO TELL ANYONE

ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT THE DOCUMENT

REVEALED OR THE INVESTIGATION.

SHE CONTACTED "GO PUBLIC" ANYWAY

AFTER SEEING THAT BANK SLIP AND

BELIEVING THAT IT SHOWS CIBC

EMPLOYEES MADE UNAUTHORIZED

TRANSACTIONS, MOVING MONEY

AROUND AND REOPENING AN ACCOUNT

THAT SHE'D CLOSED.

YOU FIGHT TO GET YOUR OWN BANK

DOCUMENT FOR TWO YEARS AND

THERE'S A SIGNATURE THAT YOU

DON'T RECOGNIZE ON THAT BANK

DOCUMENT.

AND THE BANK SAYS WE'LL GIVE YOU

SOME COMPENSATION AND GIVE YOU

SOME MONEY BUT YOU CAN'T TELL

ANYONE ABOUT THIS.

>> THAT REALLY BOTHERS ME

BECAUSE AT THIS POINT IT'S

REALLY NOT ABOUT THE MONEY, IT'S

ABOUT WHAT THEY'VE DONE, HOW

THEY'VE DONE IT, AND HOW THEY

WOULD HAVE ALMOST GOT AWAY WITH

IT HAD I NOT BEEN SO STUBBORN.

>> Reporter: SHE'LL LIKELY

NEVER KNOW WHY IT HAPPENED,

AFTER WAITING SO LONG TO GET

THAT BANK

RECORD SHE SAYS THAT THE BANK

TOLD HER THAT TOO MUCH TIME HAD

PASSED TO GET ANSWERS.

>> CONSUMERS ARE GETTING THROWN

UNDER THE BUS HERE.

>> Reporter: THIS CONSUMER

ADVOCATE IS CALLING FOR ONE

INDEPENDENT COMPLAINT RESOLUTION

SERVICE

ALL BANKS HAVE TO USE.

RIGHT NOW BIG BANKS HAVE THEIR

OWN AND THEY GET TO

PICK-AND-CHOOSE WHICH TWO OF THE

NATIONAL ONES THEY WANT TO

INVESTIGATE CONSUMER COMPLAINTS.

>> WE HAVE A SITUATION WHERE

ESSENTIALLY BANKS GET TO CHOOSE

THEIR

REFEREE AND THEY'RE CONSISTENTLY

CHOOSING NOW THE REFEREE THAT

INVESTIGATES FEWER COMPLAINTS,

THAT FINDS FEWER OF THOSE

COMPLAINTS IN FAVOUR OF

CUSTOMERS.

>> Reporter: THE FEDERAL

GOVERNMENT RECENTLY PROPOSED

LEGISLATION IT SAYS THAT WILL

MAKE THE BANKING COMPLAINT

SYSTEM MORE TRANSPARENT.

IT DOESN'T HAVE A PLAN FOR ONE

RESOLUTION SERVICE.

>> I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHAT

HAPPENED.

MAYBE IT'S HAPPENED, YOU KNOW,

TO OTHER PEOPLE.

>> Reporter: CIBC DOESN'T

RESPOND TO "GO PUBLIC" IN

SPECIFIC QUESTIONS BUT IN A

WRITTEN STATEMENT IT SAYS IT

STRONGLY DISPUTES

THE NATURE OF THE ALLEGATIONS.

ROSA MARCHITELLI, CBC NEWS,

CALGARY.

>> Rosemary: I'LL BE BACK

RIGHT AFTER THE BREAK WITH MORE

FROM THE NATIONAL WAR MEMORIAL.

I SAT DOWN RECENTLY WITH THIS

YEAR'S SILVER CROSS MOTHER WHO

SPOKE ABOUT HER SON WHO DIED

FROM SUICIDE AFTER RETURNING

HOME AND HOW HIS TIME IN

AFGHANISTAN CHANGED HIM FOREVER.

>> I WAS ASSURED THAT BECAUSE HE

WAS SO YOUNG, AND THIS WAS HIS

FIRST DEPLOYMENT, THAT WHAT HE

WAS EXPERIENCING WAS NORMAL.

IT WASN'T NORMAL TO ME AS HIS

MOM WHO KNEW HIM.

(*)

(*)

(singing).

(*)

>> Rosemary: THAT WAS ANITA

CENERINI, THIS YEAR'S SILVER

CROSS MOTHER, LAYING A WREATH AT

THE REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY IN

OTTAWA.

FOR 98 YEARS THE CROSS WAS

PRESENTED TO MOTHERS FOR

SOLDIERS KILLED IN ACTIVE DUTY

BUT

THIS YEAR MARKED THE FIRST TIME

THAT IT WAS GIVEN ON BEHALF OF A

SOLDIER WHO DIED FROM SUICIDE

AFTER RETURNING HOME.

PRIVATE THOMAS WELCH TOOK HIS

OWN LIFE ON MAY 8, 2004, AT THE

AGE OF 22.

HE WAS DEEMED THE FIRST VETERAN

OF THE AFGHANISTAN MISSION TO

DIE BY SUICIDE BUT HE WAS

CERTAINLY NOT THE LAST.

I VISITED ANITA CENERINI AT HER

HOME IN WINNIPEG TO TALK ABOUT

THOMAS, WHAT HE MEANS TO HER,

AND WHAT HE WENT THROUGH.

SO WHEN THEY ASKED TO YOU BECOME

THE SILVER CROSS MOTHER, WHY DID

YOU AGREE?

>> BECAUSE OF THE SEASON THAT

WE'RE IN IN THIS COUNTRY AT A

NATIONAL LEVEL, THE AWARENESS TO

MENTAL HEALTH, THE AWARENESS OF

MENTAL ILLNESS.

AND WITHIN THE MILITARY, THE

AWARENESS OF MENTAL ILLNESS AND

OPERATIONAL STRESS INJURIES, THE

NUMBER OF SOLDIERS WHO HAVE COME

HOME FROM AFGHANISTAN THAT HAVE

TAKEN THEIR OWN LIFE.

>> Rosemary: TELL ME WHAT

THOMAS WAS LIKE?

>> HE WAS A VERY LOVING

INDIVIDUAL.

HE HAD A HUGE HEART.

>> Rosemary: WHEN YOU SAY HE

HAD A HUGE HEART HOW DID THAT

MANIFEST ITSELF?

>> HE LOVED EASILY AND HE WAS

VERY COMPASSIONATE AND CARING TO

PEOPLE AND THEIR SITUATIONS.

HE WAS PROTECTIVE OF THE PEOPLE

THAT HE LOVED, ESPECIALLY THE

WOMEN THAT HE LOVED.

HE TOOK HIS SISTER TO HER PROM.

>> Rosemary: OH, REALLY?

>> HE ESCORTED HER IN HIS FORMAL

UNIFORM.

UM-HMM.

HE LOVED BEING IN NATURE.

IT WOULDN'T BE BEYOND THOMAS TO

SAY CAN WE GO TO THE WATERFALL

TODAY, MOM?

AND WE'D ALL GO AND HE WOULD

JUST -- WE'D ALL WANDER OFF AND

SIT ON OUR OWN SPECIAL LITTLE

ROCK.

>> Rosemary: SO WHY DID HE

DECIDE TO JOIN THE MILITARY?

BECAUSE IT'S NOT SOMETHING

THAT'S IN YOUR FAMILY, IT'S NOT

SOMETHING THAT YOU PASSED ON TO

HIM.

WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?

>> THOMAS DECIDED THAT HE'D JOIN

THE MILITARY AND HE WOULD DO THE

THREE YEARS AND THEN HE WOULD

LEAVE AND HE WOULD HAVE SOME

EXPERIENCE, A FOUNDATION THAT HE

THEN COULD WORK TOWARDS BECOMING

A POLICE OFFICER.

AND THAT'S HOW IT STARTED.

>> Rosemary: WAS THERE

SOMETHING AROUND 9/11 TOO?

>> YEAH.

SO HE SIGNED UP IN THE END OF

AUGUST 2001.

AND SEPTEMBER 11th WE WERE IN

THE LIVING ROOM, THOMAS, JACOB

AND I, AND WE SAW THE NEWS

FOOTAGE ON TELEVISION.

AND WE WERE BOTH SHOCKED AND

HORRIFIED AND I STARTED TO TALK

RIGHT AWAY ABOUT, YOU KNOW, WHAT

THIS WOULD MEAN.

AND THOMAS SAID THAT HE WAS

PRETTY SURE THAT HE WOULD HAVE

TO GO TO WAR.

AND I SAID, THOMAS, YOU DON'T

HAVE TO STAY IN THE MILITARY,

YOU CAN LEAVE.

AND I WAS CRYING.

JUST THE THOUGHT OF HIM GOING.

AND HE CAME AND HE SAT BESIDE ME

AND I HAD JACOB IN MY ARMS AND

HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND ME AND HE

SAID WELL, MOM, THEY NEED ME NOW

MORE THAN EVER.

>> Rosemary: WHEN HE WAS OVER

THERE DID YOU REALIZE

IMMEDIATELY THAT HE WASN'T DOING

WELL?

>> HE CAME HOME IN OCTOBER FOR

HIS FIRST -- FOR HIS LEAVE.

AND IT WAS THEN THAT I NOTICED.

>> Rosemary: WHAT DID YOU

NOTICE?

>> HE WASN'T SLEEPING.

AND HE WAS AGITATED.

AND HE -- UNCHARACTERISTICALLY

DIDN'T WANT TO BE HOME.

WHEN HE WENT BACK HE BEGAN TO

DETERIORATE IN MY EYES BECAUSE

HE WAS CALLING ME AT HOME.

AND ONE OF THE NOTABLE THINGS

WERE CHRISTMASTIME BECAUSE I WAS

SENDING CARE PACKAGES EVERY

WEEK, BUT HE WAS ADAMANT THAT WE

SEND NOTHING AT CHRISTMAS.

AND THAT REALLY CONCERNED ME

ENOUGH THAT AT THE BASE WHERE I

WAS DROPPING OFF THE CARE

PACKAGES I ACTUALLY ASKED TO

SPEAK TO SOMEONE.

I WAS ASSURED THAT BECAUSE HE

WAS SO YOUNG AND THIS WAS HIS

FIRST DEPLOYMENT THAT WHAT HE

WAS EXPERIENCING WAS NORMAL AND

HOW HE WAS REACTING WAS NORMAL.

AND IT WASN'T NORMAL TO ME AS

HIS MOM WHO KNEW HIM.

>> Rosemary: WHEN HE CAME BACK

DID YOU SEE HIM RIGHT AWAY, DID

YOU TALK TO HIM?

>> WELL, HE WAS SOMETIMES CRYING

IN THE PHONE CALLS AND SOMETIMES

ANGRY.

AND I ENCOURAGED HIM TO GET

HELP.

AND HE SAID THAT THERE WAS NO

HELP AVAILABLE TO HIM.

>> Rosemary: IT TOOK A LONG

TIME FOR THEM TO GIVE YOU ANY

ANSWERS, RIGHT?

IT TOOK A LONG TIME FOR THE

ANSWERS AND FOR THEM TO

RECOGNIZE WHY IT HAD HAPPENED?

>> YEAH, YEAH, IT DID.

I BELIEVED THAT THOMAS SUFFERED

WHILE HE WAS IN AFGHANISTAN, AND

HE CAME HOME AND HE DIDN'T

RECEIVE THE HELP THAT HE NEEDED.

I KNEW THAT, I BELIEVED IT, IT

WAS THE TRUTH THAT I KNEW IN MY

HEART AND SOMEHOW I JUST KNEW

THAT ONE DAY THAT THE TRUTH

WOULD COME OUT.

>> Rosemary: THOMAS' ASHES ARE

STILL HERE AND IT'S BEEN 13

YEARS, 14 YEARS?

>> 14 YEARS.

>> Rosemary: 14 YEARS SINCE

HIS DEATH.

AND YOU'VE HELD ON TO THEM AND

NOW THAT THERE IS -- CLOSURE IS

A WEIRD WORD BUT THERE'S A

CONCLUSION TO THAT PART OF THE

STORY, CAN YOU LET THEM GO?

CAN YOU BURY THE ASHES?

>> YEAH.

EVERYTHING IS A PROCESS.

YEAH, WELL, THERE WERE PRACTICAL

REASONS WHY WE DIDN'T HAVE

THOMAS' ASHES BURIED RIGHT AWAY.

BUT THE OTHER REASON WAS I WAS

DETERMINED -- I WAS ALWAYS

DETERMINED FROM THE BEGINNING

THAT -- AND BELIEVED -- THAT

THOMAS' DEATH WOULD BE

CLASSIFIED AS BEING ATTRIBUTABLE

TO SERVICE.

AND TO LAY HIM TO REST IN A

PLACE THAT NOT JUST HONOURED WHO

HE WAS AS A PERSON, BUT TO HAVE

HIS ASHES REST IN A PLACE THAT

FINALLY GIVE HIM HONOUR, THE

HONOUR THAT HE DESERVED.

>> Rosemary: WHEN YOU'RE

SITTING THERE ON REMEMBRANCE DAY

IN THE COLD IN FRONT OF THE

CENOTAPH WHAT WILL YOU BE

THINKING?

>> I'M HONOURED TO -- TO

REPRESENT OTHER MOTHERS WHO HAVE

LOST A SON OR DAUGHTER IN THE

SERVICE TO THEIR COUNTRY BUT I

ALSO THINK ABOUT THE SOLDIERS

WHO HAVE THEIR BOOTS ON THE

GROUND RIGHT NOW.

IT'S IMPORTANT TO HONOUR THEM.

SINCE THOMAS' DEATH I ALSO

ESPECIALLY THINK OF THE SOLDIERS

WHO HAVE COME HOME WITH WOUNDS

THAT WE CAN'T SEE, THAT THEY

DEAL WITH EVERY DAY.

>> Rosemary: HE'D BE PROUD OF

YOU.

>> I HOPE SO.

>> Rosemary: PRIVATE THOMAS

WELCH'S DEATH BY SUICIDE IS FAR

FROM AN ISOLATED CASE.

SINCE 2010, 130 CANADIAN

SOLDIERS AND VETERANS HAVE

KILLED THEMSELVES.

RESEARCH HAS SHOWN THAT YOUNG

MALE FORMER SOLDIERS ARE 242%

MORE LIKELY TO TAKE THEIR OWN

Actions of Faith Bring Victory - Duration: 23:17.

(Singing) I know my God has made the way for

me. I know my God has made the way for me.

ANNOUNCER: Actions of faith bring victory. Today, Kenneth

Copeland explains what you believe in your heart and

say with your mouth, by faith, makes you

a doer of the Word. Strengthen your faith,

next, on the Believer's Voice of Victory.

KENNETH: In James Chapter one, let's look at

verse 22. "Be ye doers of the Word and not

hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if a hearer of the

Word ... if he be a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is

like a man beholding his natural face in a glass in a mirror, for

he beholdeth himself, goeth his way, straight way or immediately

forgets what manner of man he was. He forgets really what he

saw. But who so looketh into the perfect law of liberty." Oh, did

you hear what he just called the Word of God? "The perfect law of

liberty. You shall know the truth and the truth will make

you free. Hallelujah. "Who so looketh into the perfect law of

liberty and continuing therein, he being not a forgetful hearer

but a doer of the Word, this man will be blessed in his deed." He

will be. No, not might be. He will be. He will be. You got to

continue there though. Quitting is not an option. We don't quit

around here. Glory to God. We just keep going. Praise God.

It's our bat and our ball, we play till we win. We don't play

nine inning games. We don't play four quarters. No, we play till

we win. It ain't over till we say it's

over. Praise God. Amen. Hallelujah. That's

our right isn't it? I mean, after all, our father's

the judge so come on. We got the game won before we ever get in

it. Because we don't quit, we just keep coming. We just keep

coming, praise God. Oh glory. Now, why would this man that's a

hearer only ... now, what about the one that's a hearer and

doer, a hearer and doer and not a quitter, because the quitting

part is equal to that. Acting on the Word and never quitting.

Acting on the Word and continuing therein. So this man

that is not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face

in a glass. He beholds himself and goes his way and straight

way forgets what manner of man he was. Why? Well, anyone at all

that can tell me the exact length of your nose, inches,

centimeters, if your nose is that long. Well, maybe

millimeters ... or no, well. Why don't you know? Why can't you

tell me? You never made the decision to find out. When you

go to the perfect law of liberty, you have to do the same

thing. You have to make the decision, my answer's in this

book and I'm gonna find it, glory to God, and when I find

it, I'm gonna act on it and I'm gonna keep acting on it till it

comes to pass till I win the victory, praise God. I'm gonna

keep praising God until this thing comes to pass. Now, let me

give you an example. Turn with me, we're there in the book of

James. Turn with me to the fourth chapter and look at the

seventh verse. "Submit yourselves therefore

to God. Resist the devil and he will

flee from you. Draw nigh to God, he will draw

nigh to you." Now that's the Word of God. Brother Copeland, I

resisted the devil. And? Well, he didn't flee. You just lied.

On either one count or the second. You didn't resist him,

you said you did, or you resisted him, no way he can

still be there. Actually, what you're trying to say is you

don't see any evidence that he's gone. You already have evidence

that he's gone, darling. You just read your evidence. Amen.

Now, in a whole lot of cases, you didn't resist him. You have

to use the Word, you need to be using the blood, and you need to

be using the name, and I mean you need to get those

scriptures, you need to write them down, and you need to

prepare your sword, draw it, and get on those words, and let the

Bible fight its own fight, glory be to God. You take your stand,

and you say, "In the name of Jesus, this is settled today.

You're done today, devil. It's over today. Now you're flee.

Goodbye." And don't ever allow any thought of him not being

gone. Don't allow any idea that he's still there. Come on. Don't

entertain in the slightest notion that he didn't leave.

Now, if there's been an active spirit ... well of course, we

know he's the author of all sickness and all disease, all

poverty. He's the author of the curse. If there is an active

spirit involved in a sickness or in a bondage, in an addiction,

and you cast him out and he's completely gone, your body is

still in the habit of being around that thing. Give your

body an opportunity to heal. Give it an opportunity to pull

on out of there, but don't believe the symptoms. Don't

believe that trash. He has fled and read the Word to him. You're

gone, you're gone. You're gone. You're not here. Glory to God,

you're gone. It's over. We done shipped your saddle home, you're

through. Come on, you're gone. No, no, no. I have evidence that

you're gone. I have it. I have it out of the mouth of more than

two witnesses. I've got James 4:7, I've got I John 4:4, I've

got the 2nd chapter of the book of Philippians, glory to God,

and you bow your knee, he has been exalted and given him his

name that that name is above every name that's named. Glory

be to God. Cancer, you're a name. You bow your knee to the

name of Jesus, and the spirit life and cancer's gone. Amen.

Thank you, Jesus. Dementia, Alzheimer's, you're a name. You

bow your knee to the name of Jesus, you Alzheimer's devil,

you get out of here. You can't stay here. No, you get your hand

off my brain. You can't touch my brain. You sure can't touch my

mind. I've not been given a spirit of fear. The spirit of

fear is the devil. So the spirit of fear is the spirit of

dementia. Are you listening to me? Hallelujah. Bow your knee,

Satan. We overcome you by the blood the Lamb. Listen, and the

word of our testimony. The word of our confession. Believe it in

your heart and say it with your mouth. But don't even go there

until you've got the scriptures, the promises and scriptural

facts upon which you are basing your faith. Don't try to base

your faith on just an idea, or on just something because you

just like to believe it. Amen. This is faith's solid

foundation. It's the word of faith, which we preach. The word

of faith is the Word of God. Did you ever stop and think about

the fact that the ministry of the prophet, particularly what

I'm referring to now is in the Old Covenant, the first

covenant, his job was to hear from God and give the people

something to say. He gave them something to believe and

something to say. Moses told the people what God said and they

said, "No, no, no. We ain't doing that." So God said, "Don't

go up." They said, "Yeah, we're going up. Oh, we're going up.

We're going up. We just weep and cry because we

didn't go up. You told us to go up and we didn't go, but now

we're going." He said, "No, don't go." "Yeah, we're going."

They went anyway and just got the slats kicked out of them. So

whatever he said, they didn't believe that. They believed what

they wanted to believe and whatever they believed, they

said. It finally got them all killed. They kept saying and

saying and saying they believed it, they did not believe that he

loved them. And after the first praise and worship session on

just the other side of the Red Sea, when they sang songs about

God casting horse and rider into the sea, that's the last time

for 40 years they praised God. This doesn't work without

praise, people. It doesn't work without praise. Hallelujah.

Thank you, Lord. Praise you, Lord Jesus. And what did they

keep saying? "We're gonna die in this desert." Well, God is in

covenant with his people and he would give them the truth and

the true plan of victory but they wanted something else.

Well, they're covenant people, if that's what they want, he'd

wind up having to give it to them, or lose them to complete

destruction. Judgment is the mercy of God, because without

judgment you'd just get totally destroyed and wiped out. But

under his judgment, you're under a controlled situation until you

repent and get out of that mess. Praise God. Anyway, we gonna die

in the desert. We're gonna die in the desert, we're gonna die

in the desert. We gonna die in the desert. Finally, God said,

"I have heard that. It has entered into my ear and you will

die in this desert. Nobody is gonna make it past 80 years old.

You're gonna die in this desert." God, 70 or 80 was

never, ever God's lifespan for human beings. That came on a

disobedient people and it's still working in the lives of

disobedient people. Amen. The only lifespan number spoken by

God was 120, and medical science will tell you today that the

human body should live 120 years. They say that without

even looking at a Bible. Now isn't that amazing? It's just a

physical fact that this thing is supposed to live 120 years. So

what's messed it up so bad? Disobedience to the Word of God.

Oh, I could get in there and mess around with that this

morning, but maybe I better not, at least at this time. So,

believe it, say it, and then act on it. Second chapter of the

book of James, and look at the 14th verse. "What doth it profit

my brethren, though a man say he hath faith and hath not works.

Can faith save him?" He's not talking about the new birth

there. "If a brother or a sister be naked and destitute of daily

food, and one of you say unto them depart in peace, be ye

warmed and filled. Notwithstanding you give him not

those things which are needful to the body, what does it

profit? Even so, faith, if it hath not works is dead being

alone." Let's substitute instead of works corresponding action.

That's the works he's talking about. Faith without

corresponding action is dead. Now just a little ... sometimes,

it's just a very simple thing, but it is acting on what you

believe in your heart and what you said with your mouth and you

take the next step. It could be just something very, very

simple. Back in the very, very, very early days of this

ministry, and I was believing God for an airplane,

and I knew ... I knew the airplane, I knew

where it was, I knew what it'd take to

buy it, but I didn't have the money to go buy it. The first

thing I did was something that I could do. I didn't have the

airplane, but I'm not going to wait until I get the airplane to

order my instrument charts. So I bought a flight case. I had

money enough to buy a flight case. And I ordered my

instrument charts. I was preaching this one time, and you

notice I was very articulate when I said charts. There was a

woman ... I got a note from a woman who said, "Why did you

need a bag for your shorts?" Oh brother. I already had a bag for

my shorts. It was my charts I didn't have a bag for. I started

working those charts just like I had the airplane, and picked out

the hangar that I wanted, the little airport out there south

of town. It's a big, nice regional airport now but back

then it was small. It was just a few blocks from our house. I

knew just the hangar I wanted. It wasn't but a matter of days

until just several supernatural steps took place and that

airplane came into my hands. I inquired then about hangar

number such and such, and the guy laughed at me. He said,

"Kenneth. Now you're being ... ". I used to work on that

airport. He said, "Kenneth, you know better than that." He said,

"These people leave these hangars in their will, man." He

said, "There's no hangar space available on this airport." I

said, "Well, how about the tie down spot right here in front of

it?" He said, "You can have any tie down spot you want." I said,

"I want the one right here so that when that hangar comes

available, you just push my airplane right in there." What

am I doing? I'm acting. I'm acting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I

said, "Now, when that hangar comes open, I got first shot at

it, right?" "Ah yeah," he said. "Yeah." It wasn't any time. I

mean surprisingly few days. He called me, he said, "Copeland,

this beats all I have ever seen in my life." I said, "What?" I

knew what. "What?" He said, "That hangar's come open." I

said, "Good. Push my airplane right straight in there." It was

one of the few hangars on that front line that was big enough

for a twin. That's the reason I wanted it, because there ain't

no way that little single engine airplane is gonna do what I need

it to do. I'm already acting on the twin. Now don't just take

off doing wild, goofy ... Get on the Word. Everything I'm telling

you was founded on the Word. The Word of God is already in its

place. Amen. You get off into presumption and it's not even

faith at all, it's just a bunch of wild ideas. Get on the Word.

If it starts kind of wavering around, you go back to the

scriptures you're standing on. You go back and read them. You

go back and look at them. You go back and start ... if you're not

careful, you'll confess the same scripture, long enough, you'll

start confessing it wrong. You have to watch stuff like that.

You have to get ... stay on the book. The book itself. Are you

listening to me here? Well, that's the same way the twin

came. That first little twin engine airplane. Oh man. We wore

that airplane out twice. Just wore it completely out. It just

was so wonderful. But the thing that I'm telling you, you

believe it in your heart, then you say it

with your mouth, then you act on your faith.

ANNOUNCER: We hope you enjoyed today's teaching from Kenneth

Copeland Ministries. And remember Jesus is Lord.

Splatoon Montage 3 - Duration: 8:40.

Welcome to the 3rd sploon montage! Its been a month since the last upload but hopefully I didn't kept you waiting!

This first scene included 2 friends: Brady and Blueberry, they are good friends btw

I get 2 kills with the main weapon and one with a sub in this scene.

I get a kill with the sting ray becuase why not? ;)

Dodge rolling will keep you still for a few seconds after, which is not good if your spotted by a sniper.

Idk how I actually got that.

Oh hey look its the dualies again.

(Not really) a Tip: Dont really flicker your aim around unless your under attack,.

Somehow this guy jumped and my aim tracked him when I saw him. There is no aimbot for splatoon right?

Bloblobber Alert

Before the ink wall sprayed, I got him somehow. I have no idea why you would peek your head for a moment before the wall sprayed the ink?

Just another sting ray kill.

Sting rays sometimes will be hard to kill with sometimes but at least worth it when you splat somebody.

Another quick one.

Somehow i cut off some of the time where you see the bottom where you splatted somebody, i did splat the person, trust me.

Could've kill the last guy if i had enough ink lol.

One of the scenes where I died, dont worry this isn't the only scene where I died.

This scene was from a game I somehow lost connection to. Curse you internet...

I wonder if this guy really had a choice or not.

Probably all of them led to his death.

Im not sure if using an ink jet while having a ink armored inkling near you is really a good idea unless you have good aim and dodging.

This is one of the clips where its taken from the same game, same match, taken from the previous clip.

Not really sure on what was i thinking here but ok.

Tip: Even if your surrounded by your ink or probably in spawn, someone will notice the inkjet sign and will probably stay near it for you to get splatted

You should probably find a safe space like around your teammates or just guard the spot itself. Guarding the spot yourself is probably risky since when your special is done, the enemy can walk right up to you and splat you

More continuation of the last scene horray!

I use maps sometimes to see where the enemy plans to go in order to make my next move.

I didnt really notice him until he came after me but when I saw the footage he was just staring at me. Unexpected none of the less but splatted him.

Sometimes, ninja squid does good when being sneaky, if only this person had the ability rn.

Should have probably stayed there or go up in order to fool me.

TBH I didnt expect this one too.

Idk what happened but whatever.

Here in this scene, this describes why I open the maps not to super jump, but plan my next move against the enemy.

This can be great whenever you want to know if theres an enemy nearby or you want to counter attack. Do keep in mind that enemys wont show on the map unless in your ink or hit by your ink, or any other way.

Here I decided to defend the base from a Heavy Splatling incoming.

It goes pretty well :D

I wasnt expecting the enemy to drop out of nowhere into our base, Unless this guy had run or swim speed up which could be the cause.

That would have been great if I splatted him btw.

So thats how long the tri-sloshers range is.

More range stuff.

Oh no someone has did a vape.

Scene death: 2. At least I ain't the only one getting killed, even when I just do it for the video.

The hotel is one of my favorite maps because the beauty of it, too bad we have to ruin it because of turf war.

Why would you place an ink walll facing behind the enemy base and your litterly in the range of fire? Just why???

Another sub weapon kill. One time I filled a balloon once trying to make "burst bombs" but the balloon didnt hold enough air for some reason.

(Trying to be a really sneaky SL)

(Someone tries to super jump to me not know what will happen to him next)

Another 3 kills in one clip.

I like the Octobrush because of its AbIlITy tO FlaNk

Honstly this Ultra stamp could have killed me but it gave me a turn, that turn killed him.

Another one of the clips where I died, this time to a Octobrush while I killed him, fair enough.

Another sting ray kill... Yay...

Just spamed ZR becuase why not, also Im a sniper, spamming ZR is also when you have the L-3.

Another Sub-Weapon Kill, this one I wasn't expecting.

Dont move foward while on a treadmil that moves you backwards, a uncommon chance you'll get splatted by someone behind you or a sniper

I have nothing to say for this clip, its just ordinary.

Just another clip, except this time Its at the end of the match.

It took me 6-8 Seconds just for me to get this roller. Either im bad at aim or this person's good at dodging.

One of the clips where someone ran into my missles either by someone behind or around him or stood still for some reason.

Didnt understand why the Blobbober or the arrospray saw me here, or they wern't looking, most likely.

This clip is my Fav, just me getting 3 kills within 10 seconds.

This one I have no idea how I just thought someone from their base would accidently jump into it without hearing or seeing the bomb. No clue whatsoever.

This is one of the last clips, this one had 5 clips, all of them were connected.

I think I had atleast 4 - 10 splats during these clips

I really like this music does anyone agree? Also was the music loud? Sorry if it was btw.

One final death scene to simulate the end of this video, thanks for watching everyone!

this would have been nice if i wasn't lazy and added a fade awau transition.

Episode 2 - Homoseksualiteit in die NG Kerk: Deel 2 (13:53min) - Duration: 13:53.

CJ Langenhoven said: Trust the advise of the man who doubts if the issue is correct.

The man who doesn't doubt looked at the issue from one side only."

That's the conversation regarding homosexuality in the Dutch Reformed Church

– more faceted as one would think.

In the previous episode my conversational partners made it clear

that different interpretations of the Bible are possible.

Interestingly, 'who we are',

'where we come from' and

'where we're going'

influences our interpretations of the Bible.

Does that mean our interpretations of the Bible reveals something of our identity?

Last year, André Bartlett, published a book on the gay debate in the Dutch Reformed Church.

I asked him if it is only our interpretations of the Bible that play a role in this debate

or if there are other factors that influence it.

I think there are different factors.

I would say three basic factors.

One is the understanding scripture, how you understand the Biblical information.

Is that which is used actually usable?

How do you read the Bible? From which perspective?

The question of hermeneutics.

Secondly, how do you understand homosexuality?

And here the human sciences gives us the important information

that must be accounted for.

So that's the second factor. 1. Scriptural information.

2. The understanding of homosexuality or sexual orientation.

And in the third place the stories of people.

Theology and how one makes decisions don't exist in a vacuum.

If you talk about woman their voice helps one think in a different way.

If you talk about minority's situation

then it is their voice, their stories, that helps one to come to a deeper understanding,

and the same here. The stories of gay people, people with family and friends who are gay

Those stories helps one.

So these three factors together, the stories, the contribution of human sciences

and the scriptural information.

Another underlying factor, I think that is what you mean with identity,

is the effect of patriarchy.

In a way I think

its the elephant in the room.

People's traditional views on gender roles are challenged

through woman empowerment, but also by demanding dignified treatment of gay people.

Patriarchy is based on a hierarchy with God at the top, under God is man, under man is the woman,

and in terms of human relationships that women are subservient to men,

and must be submissive to men.

Men take a leadership role, while women fulfil a follower role.

This, off course, does not correspond to reality.

In reality, all men aren't strong leaders

and that all woman are followers.

People differ from each other.

It's a social construct to say "this is how men are, or should be,

this is how women are, or should be".

Life is much more complex.

If you look at history, especially the last century.

There has always been highly proficient women.

In the society we live in today there are fewer distinctions

between roles more suitable for men and others for women.

OK. I already have a better understanding of hermeneutics.

But how does patriarchy and gender function?

A sexuality is an abstract concept.

We are made as sexual beings

and the way you come to realise

that you are a sexual being

is your sexuality.

The distinction in English between sex and gender

is the distinction between sex; are you a

man or woman, or in between – the various possibilities

biologically.

Gender is then about the social construct

of what it means to be male or female in a society.

For instance if you are a man you have the right to certain things.

If you are a woman this is your place and you may not go beyond that.

That is gender.

So, when we speak about just and unjust

it doesn't help to talk about body,

then you talk about how society,

the language, the ways of doing and the way people are treated

and how people experience it, that is gender.

Most people think, from our Western educated perspective

that you find yourself on one of the extremes

for example that you are exclusively male or exclusively female,

that you are exclusively gay or exclusively straight.

Yet the research reveals these things are on a spectrum

in other words, no one is fully male or fully female,

or fully gay or fully straight,

you find yourself somewhere on this spectrum.

The research done by Volf and Denise Ackermann,

it comes down to that we all are hybrids.

And the best way to meet this creative tension,

and live in this tension field,

because a tension field in essence is uncomfortable.

You can learn to live with this discomfort by making it your own

and welcoming it.

And to admit you are a mixed person,

and that none of us are pure.

Doing this is extremely difficult for people educated in Western though, like most of us.

We are taught to think in opposites,

and it comes from Plato, from Greek philosophy, it comes from many different places.

Western educated people find it difficult

not to think in binary.

And in Africa it is actually a strange idea

African people don't think in binaries,

they don't think in opposites.

I won't say they necessarily think on a spectrum,

but to say that something is either body or soul

is a strange thing for African theology and being African.

And now we have to be church in Africa

and we are educated in Western thought

that only think in binary.

I think that is where we struggle and get stuck most of the time.

A tendency we as humans have

is to see that which is in the majority, as the norm.

And then to force that norm on everything else that is different,

or, make less of anything that is different,

to make it worthless.

And you can see that all over,

If 'man' is the norm; God 'He', the Child 'He', the believer 'he'

There you hear it in the language. Male is the norm.

Then 'she' becomes the 'other', and that other is inferior.

The 'inferior' is then the one that must serve me

that must obey me, that must give me offspring.

That is how you get the hierarchy, if one is the norm and the other inferior.

Now, heterosexual is the majority, and we make it the 'norm'

And the moment we say hetero is normative,

then everything that is not hetero is seen as 'non-hetero',

as we did with white

our language, non-white

White is the norm

and all the other different colour people on earth is grouped together in one category as non-white

grouped together in one category as non-white.

That is what our language reveals,

We make ourselves the norm

then we make the other, all grouped together, inferior,

we make them the sinners…the slave.

That hierarchy has already been challenged

and now it's being challenged even more by same sex relationships

because people ascribing to patriarchy always want to know

who in the relationship is the man and who is the woman

who is the leader and who is the follower,

while when they deal with a same sex couple

then it is confusing to say who is the man and who is the woman,

while I think it is a positive development

to realise it is even more evidence that the old patriarchal

way of thinking is archaic,

that its not workable any more

and repressive.

It prevents people to reach life fulfilment.

That's true for women, and true for gay people,

and other minorities that has to fit into this hierarchy.

If you could make a block of history and cut through it

to get a linear perspective. From a beginning to and end

you will see certain developments occurred

with regards women,

homosexual people, people with diverse sexualities.

I would even say, maybe, diverse genders.

A definite shift happened

Why is there certain aspects that aren't resolved?

And I'm glad I get the change to make this point,

It is because, I think, the church has not yet realised

the underlying paradigm

that excludes people of different races,

is the same paradigm that exclude people of marginalised sexualities,

is the same that exclude woman.

The underlying paradigm in homophobia, racism and sexism is exactly the same.

Therefore, if the church said we are against racism,

the church already said we are against sexism

the church already said we are not homophobic.

But now they divide these two from each other, and that is why there is a discrepancy

that the Afrikaans church, mostly, admit, and apologised

for a apartheid paradigm, ideology and politics

but when it comes to homosexuality they struggle tremendously

and when it comes to gender we get stuck in binaries,

and it has to do with gender roles.

And once you start talking about gender roles

these things are so deeply rooted,

conversation about gender roles goes underground

and once it's underground, it looks like there aren't any problems, but there are big problems.

And the problem is that the connection between the three excluding paradigms

which are exactly the same, hasn't yet been made.

This conversation just becomes more complicated.

I started with question regarding different interpretations of the Bible,

and now there are various paradigms

and frame of thought to consider.

How does one reach a clear and meaningful answer on a multifaceted question like this?

Many people regards the gay debate as a very intricate and complex thing,

as such, we talk about it synod after synod after synod,

and we talk Bible, and we talk biological sciences

we talk practice;

It's a complicated issue.

But, I think, we make it complicated,

in order to kick up a lot of dust,

so we can't see what we are doing,

and what we are doing

is to mistreat our fellow human beings,

and not to love our neighbour like ourselves,

and it is simply time that we stop it.

One of the palaeoanthropologist, De Waal, says

one of the most remarkable things of being human

is our ability to care.

Obviously we also kill,

but in terms of the positive

that we are able to care.

And that is why we survive, not because we are strong,

dinosaurs went extinct,

also not because we are so adaptable, that is true,

but because we care.

Could there be a more beautiful link with the Gospel of Jesus Christ when it comes to care. Precisely in that.

Bright and shining, it called to me in colors made to shock

Walking easily, suddenly it made me stop

Losing it all, tearing from me as I fall

What I chased was but a dream, no more than blank walls

Heard your voice again and found I had a longing all along

But it's far away today somehow, like hearing a song

Wanna grab the hand we held, so warm and never let it go

It was love we called it far too long ago

Flowers blooming all around, waxing moon, another round

Here we go again, repaint my sky and ground

You were warm, already mine, now you're leaving me behind

I'll forget the heat and how it felt and well, I guess that it's alright

Was walking 'round town alone but didn't know where to go

Looking out for you but finding I was all alone

Waving em goodbye, watching precious memories play but I

Shut my eyes and looked away, falling from so high

What if I could say the words? What if you gave me the chance?

Maybe things would be the way they were, our life a romance

But before I knew, my hand was reaching out and then

I lied to you and did it all again

Flowers dying all around, waning moon, another round

Here we go again, repaint my seasons now

You were real, already mine, now you're leaving me behind

I'll forget the touch and how it felt, I'll forget you were ever mine

You swore to me eternity, but now here we are

Watching it all decay and fall, our long depart

Winter wandering, then it bloomed to Spring

Summer into leaves, watching Fall asleep all along

Will we ever be okay? Will it take long?

To see that meeting wasn't so wrong

Always running all around, wishing wondering how

I could see you smile even once but now…

Nights- I'm wandering around, mornings- someone that I found

And they paint me new with colors, up and down

I'm ok and I'm away from your heat another day

I'll forget it all and sleep until you fade

Say goodbye to a friend, know that this is the end

If you won't return to me, then go

You won't be seen again

HOW TO DRAW 3/4 FEMALE ANIME FACE [Real Time/No Time Lapse Tutorial] - Duration: 15:30.

Hello everyone, my name is midnight cross welcome back to my channel in today's video

I'm going to be showing you how to draw this three quarter view anime face with guidelines

This is a panel from my manga project having faith and in today's video

I'm going to take you step-by-step through the steps of how I drew this panel

Just like with drawing any kind of anime fades when I draw a free quarter view face

I like to start by just drawing a circle

and

Draw this quite lightly because you will be erasing it at the end

It's just a neat circle on your page just like this one

From there, I draw a curved line down to the chin

but I always add a little bit of a dip here just because that's where the side of the

Face ends before it gets the chink. So

Dip it in a little bit there

Then draw the jawline

the chin

up to about here

Then I draw a straight line or a slightly curved line through the center of the face

Which is going to help me later when I add in the facial features

Just from about the middle here just draw a very light line down to the chin

Just like this you will know you have done this part

Right if this distance here is about half the size of the circle now

I've left a little space here and that is because that is where I am going to put the neck

Now unlike in faces where they are straight on the neck is not going to be directly underneath the chin

It's going to be a little bit back. So

Usually just add a little bit of space here

and

Then I draw the back of the neck about there and add the sloping line. So it all connects

So now I have the base lines for the head the next part is drawing the features on the face

So since this is a free quarter view the ear is going to be a lot more visible. So

The area where I draw the ear is about in between this line here, that is the bottom of the circle

It's just about here just draw little curved line

Just so you know where the ear is going to be and that's going to help you to draw in the eyes and the rest

Of the facial features. So now from the ear you can now draw a line

Starting at the top point and going over here and I like to draw this with a slight curve

The same sort of curve at the bottom of the circle

This is going to help you with where the top of your eyelid is so from there draw a

Slight curve line on this side

For the top of the eyelid and about halfway between these lines

Draw the bottom eyelid

Do the same for the other side pass this halfway line here

Through the top of the eyelid at about this line here and then draw the bottom eyelid

Until you're left with these lines here

Then draw a smaller line above it for the top of the eyelid the fold of the eyelid that's optional

Of course, but that's how I like to do it a little bit underneath this line here

Which is the bottom of the circle line, I?

draw a little dot for the nose a

Curved line and then another dot and

Then I shade in this side

So you can see that it is turned more

Towards that side it's not front on its turned slightly to the side

About halfway between the nose and the bottom of the chin down halfway. I will draw the mouth. It's just about here

Draw in a little line for the mouth and I usually divide it up into two lines

Smaller line on the further side and then along the line on the closest side

Then I draw a

Little line underneath for the bottom of the lip and a little line above it for the top of the loop

Just straightening ups on the lines down here

Okay, so now that you have the basic lines for the facial features

It is now time to go through and add a little bit more details to the face

So in between the two eyelids that you drew here draw an oval shape for the eye just

Like this and now do the same for the other side

Draw in the eyebrows slightly above the eyes

So once you're finished drawing the base for the eyes and the eyebrows

You can go into the eyes and add a little bit more details

so I like to add a larger circle on the top left of the eye and

then a

sort of half circle underneath it and

A half circle above it. So that should leave you a little space. Just underneath

Now do the same for the other side a circle on the top left and

Then a half circle underneath and that might be a bit harder to do when it is in 3/4 view and that's completely okay

and

Then from there just add a little bit more eyelashes to the eyes. So

Add some eyelashes going to the side here and

Then in curved lines do a curved shape

Towards the top curved line

Curved line

Curved line and

Add some smaller ones to the bottom eyelid. I

Usually don't add as much

Towards the closer it gets towards the middle of the face

I usually just add them towards the ends of the eyes and I think that creates a really nice effect

So just do the same on the other side and a bit more

eyelashes

Into a curved line

Towards the side and then just do the same for the bottom eyelid

Now it's time to add some darker shades to the eyes. So

First I start with the little circle shape in the middle of the eye

Now just a bit of darker shading they are

And a bit of darker shading just at the top of the eye shine now do that for the other side

Normally I add a lot more detail to the eyes when I digitally inked it because it's a little bit difficult to add all the

Full details in this stage when I can't completely zoom in but this is just what I do on the basic level

Just so I add enough detail for those eyes at this point

Now it's time to move on to add details to the nose

we've already done a little bit of the details on the nose, but I'm just going to darken this line here and

Darken the side of the nose. So it's clear that you can see that she is looking towards the side

Then I'm going to add a little bit of darker shading on the bottom of the nose

Now from here we can move on to adding details to the lips

Usually I like to just

Darken the shading on the top lip

Add very light shading just the top

Like that and then on the bottom lip since this side here is more cast in shadow

I'm going to make this side a little bit darker and leave this side like to add that shadowy effect

And as you can see that creates a really nice shadowy effect

But don't forget to add a little shading to the bottom of the lips as well

From there, I just go into a few more steps with adding extra shading to the face

Just so you can clearly see that she is turned that this is a free quarter view face

Once you are satisfied with the level of detail you have added on your face

You can now erase these guidelines because you don't need them anymore

It's just very carefully arrays the guidelines

And now it's time to move on to one of my favorite parts of the face drawing process, which is the hair

so I start about the middle of the face around this point and

In very sweeping curve lines. I

work from the middle point and work outlets

Just towards the side

And just use that similar sweeping motion for the entire face

You tie a hair face

Don't know what I mean

And then when I get about past this point where it's at the side of the face and then stop bringing the curves upwards image

And then just bring it around following the circle that you have drawn as a guide

And

then

Move the hair a little bit back past the circle here and end it

Just here below the ER

Just like this now I'm going to draw the back of this character's hair

Because this character wears her hair in a ponytail, so

Starting about here just draw the back of the ponytail which is about the middle of the head here

Bring it out a bit

And I'm going to add some strands of hair down here and always keep your lines very loose

Don't put too much pressure on the pencil at this stage that

Way, you can erase it very easily if you make a mistake

And then just on the other side pass the chin I add some other strands of hair

And that's probably enough there

Now add the detail on this ear

Start by drawing a curved line

Following the outside shape of the ear then when you get about here draw a slope in a curve here

For the inside of the ear

And some curved lines here for the top part of the ear

From the bottom of the ear just add a little bit more definition to the side of the chin and some shading

Underneath the chin. I

Also like to at this point add a little bit of shading on the side of the face

And underneath where the bangs are

And then I add in the rest of the details such as details for clothing and any added details on the hair

So as you can see creating these drawings from basic lines really helps to burn write it down and

it helps make the drawing process a lot more easier and

The drawing is now complete

We have finished drawing our free quarter view anime face

Queue in JavaScript and Real Life. Codingame: War - Solved - Duration: 3:02.

Programming shouldn't be boring.

Let's play with a Codingame's puzzle today.

[Music playing]

Hi!

Let's play and solve a puzzle titled "War" by Codingame.

I'm Anatol and you are watching the Good Parts of the FrontEnd development.

If this is your first time here, you wanna learn Frontend and JavaScript, start now by

subscribing and don't forget to turn on the subtitles.

[Music playing]

The story tells: Over at Winamax, card games are all the rage.

Why don't you join the party?

Solving this puzzle shows that you can manipulate queues and simulate every step of deterministic

card game.

Your program must determine the winner of a game of War, a simple two-player card game.

I've told about Queue data structure earlier in this video.

Check the link in the description.

Let's dive into the code.

[Music playing]

Create Queue class with its constructor, enqueue, dequeue, peek and enqueue bundle methods.

Create Game class with it constructor

Create Battle Method

Compare cards

If all two pots are empty, then run War method

If one of the players doesn't have enough cards left, then it's stalemate

Create Init method

Read both decks and start the game

Test the code

Now it works well

That's pretty easy, isn't it?

Next time let's have a look at "Genome sequence" and Permutations in JavaScript.

[Music playing]

My code is available on GitHub

Documentation is available in the Internet Follow the links if you're eager to get

more.

史上最大的膽小鬼挑戰國外鬼屋...嚇到快哭了 - Duration: 14:38.

Are we not out yet?!

Hi everyone, it's Lyra

Today I'm at Fright Night

North Americans love celebrating Halloween

The kids go trick-or-treating

Adults though, like us youngsters

We go to parties or clubbing, or this

Fright Night, PNE Fright Night

It's an amusement park but filled with

Live actors and haunted houses

There's also the regular rides and stuff

So we're going there today

I'm a huge scaredy cat

So if I go, tons of people will scare me

So I brought some bodyguards

Yo

On a scare level, on a bravery level

Nihao

1 to...

From 1 to 10

How scared are you?

10 being the scared -

most scared? Or...

Sorry, 10 being the most brave

And 1 being the least

(This is a terrible scale)

I'm like a 7 I'd say

You're a 7? Ok

How bout you?

I'm a 9

You're a 9?!

How bout you?

So confident

Like an 8

An 8? Ok

Wait what's 10?

10 is like most confident

I'm like a 7

You're a 7?

I'm a 2

Ok

We're going in now

And see what it's like at

Fright Night

Let's go

So at Fright Night

I'm gonna stick with Tiffany

Cause she's not scared of anything at all

Are you still nervous?

I'm nervous cause of this

Oh ya?

I'm so scared

So much smoke

Or fog

Ok

So I just got in

And now...

I'm...

Eh?

Where are my friends?

My friends are all gone

It's just me now?

Oh

Everyone ran away

I don't know where they are

They're right here

Where?

Ah!

What's going on? What's going on?

"Eat me!"

Ugh

This is Emily's first time

at an amusement park

Ya basically

How do you feel?

Great

I am very excited

There are 8 haunted houses here

I haven't been to one in ages

I heard around here there are

live actors who try to scare you

Ah!

You're asking for a beating

They probably scare all the innocent-looking ones

Like me

So...

I'm actually pretty scared

I'm scared to go to the bathroom

No, I'm not going in there with you

Come in with me

I'm so scared oh my god

This is the most dangerous "wooden coaster"

It's pretty famous

Cause it's all made of

Made of wood

Feels like you're about to be thrown off

Dunno if anyone died here...

It's pretty famous, this wooden coaster

Boo

Ruining all my shots, Michelle?

Ya

I mean, I think you mean

blessing your shots?

Wow

Ok, so we just finished the rides

They're going on this one now

Called The Beast

When I was on the wooden coaster

I lost my glasses

You really just get thrown out of your seat

My glasses probably flew out too

Can't find my glasses now but

They're all going on this one

Waiting for them to finish

Then we'll go to the haunted house together

I'm alone now which is pretty scary

I heard the clowns are walking around now

Hope I don't see a clown

Pretty scary

I'm lining up for

Fun Dunkers mini donuts

Pretty famous place

Mini donuts

Thank you

Cause I'm a big wuss

And I can't handle big rides

They asked me to grab food

So I'm here waiting for them

So I bought these Dunkers (mini donuts)

If you go to an amusement park in N. America

You gotta get mini donuts

There's just sugar on top

It just tastes good

So I bought 3 bags of 12 each

You can eat until you're full

I also got this, called churro

Churros are these long things

Same dough I think

Long and thin

Topped with sugar and cinnamon powder

Smells yummy

They deep fry it

Similar to frying donuts

But it's a whole stick

It's a tougher texture

There's a ton more sugar

Tastes really good

It's one of those foods that

can't be missing at an amusement park

I bought 3 bags. That's 36 donuts

These donuts are tiny though

By the time they get off The Beast

I'll probably have eaten a lot

How was it?

It was good

Ready to barf?

What?

Ready to barf?

Thanks mom~

How was it?

Not as scary as that other one

Oh really?

We lost a baby

We lost one donut

It's ok

There's like 12 in each

Here you go

Sorry

You like it?

I had fun

It wasn't as scary as the other one

Do you think you're ever going to

come to an amusement park again?

Yes

I love this

I love adrenaline

Did you guys see me down there?

Oh no oh no oh no

They know

I can't I can't

We're lining up right now

We're going into the Haunted Mansion

I'm really scared

Cause I

I haven't been to a haunted house in ages

I'm sticking to you, you know that right

9 out of 10?

Was it 9 out of 10?

Can I go behind you

so I can see your reaction?

No no

I won't scare you I promise

but I just want to watch you

I can't I can't

It's almost our turn

I'm the biggest scaredy-cat in this group

I'm going to film everything

but the camera's going to shake alot

Sorry about that

Cause I'm actually really scared

Ready?

Oh my god oh my god

So is this the order?

Is this the order?

I dunno I dunno

It's almost us

These 2 are just behind me

For entertainment

Ya we're here to watch her reaction

Oh my god

Alright we're going in

Nonono

Let's go let's go

Just keep walking, just keep walking

Just keep going just keep going

We're going too fast!

You're going too fast!

Nononononono

Are we not out yet?!

Why are we not out!?

Nonononono

Oh my god oh my god

We need to go out!

Why does this take so long?

Wait wait wait

I can't

I can't I can't

I can't I can't

Nonononono

Oh no

Don't come up from the bed

Why is it so long?!

I can't I can't

What's going on?

Dead end, keep going!

What!

Wait!

I don't want to be the last one!

I don't want to be last

Wait I don't want to be last

Can you put me in the middle please

We're out we're out

That's the exit

My hat! My hat!

Oh what?

I lost my hat in there

You lost your hat?

Lyra's crying

I'm not crying - it's rain!

Scared me so bad

I wasn't even looking

Are you ok?

I like grabbed onto you so hard

Really? That wasn't scary

It was so scary, oh my god

And I lost my toque in there

And I'm not going back to get it

Bunch of corpses

I didn't even know what I saw

Just a lot of bam bam bam bam

So scary

We couldn't even stop

It was like 7 whole minutes

Just kept walking around

Oh my god what's going on there?

Oh ball

The bar

You need a drink?

So I realized something

There are live actors around the houses

Like clowns or guys wearing masks

Haunted house-theme-related costumes

Like live actors just trying to scare people

You can't escape

I'm like...

Every time I turn around

I get spooked

There

That's the third house

Over there

is the fourth haunted house

This is the most dangerous one

Right when you step in

They make you go in coffins

You're in the coffin

Then later you find your group again

That's the haunted house

I'm not going in another one so

This is called the Hellavator

It's hell

plus elevator

So it's like the elevator of hell

Doesn't seem too bad though

I've basically become the bag person now

They're in the back

Hey you're in like all my shots today

Really? Oh ya

I know right?

Like every single shot you're in

Making new friends now

Hey guys!

Hey!

Have fun~

Ooh

They're still chatting

Wait, is that it?

That's it?

Ok so I

went around this place already

Very scary

Went to -

Stop it!

Michelle!

Lost my toque in the haunted house

And on the roller coaster...

Hey do you wanna do that?

Oh it's so scary

Lost my glasses on the coaster

Just losing everything today

It's raining pretty hard

So we're heading home

If you like this vid, like, share, or comment

Don't forget to subscribe

That's it today

Bye bye, peace

What do you think, 1 out of 10

Like a 7 and a half

- 7 and a half? - Ya

Ya, I guess a 7, ya

Emily?

Your first time in an amusement park

I'd give like an 8?

8? Wow

10 for the company

Tiffany's not impressed

Look at her

She was like stone-faced the whole time

6 and a half, 7

Wow, wow

I think I might have had like

Like 8 out of 10?

Even though

Ya, like 8 out of 10

Despite like, pissing yourself?

And crying?

I do not cry!

I did not

Tears?

You cried?

I did not cry

You cried

I did not cry!

"Rain"

In the haunted house she cried

I lost everything though

I think that's sad

That's why I take 2 points off
