 The Spaniard was being put through his paces by first-team strength and conditioning coach Barry Solan and will be assessed ahead of the Sporting clash

 It's expected that Emery will resist the urge to bring the left-back in for Thursday's game, with a return to action far more likely against Wolves on Sunday

 As has been the way throughout the Europa League so far, Emery is expected to once again go with a strong side against Sporting

 He included just two youngsters during Wednesday morning's session, with Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah the only teenagers from Freddie Ljungberg's Under-23s involved

 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Lucas Torreira were all part of the session, as were Hector Bellerin, Granit Xhaka, Alex Iwobi and Skhodran Mustafi

 The only senior first-team players who were missing were Mohamed Elneny, who is due back from a thigh injury next week, and Konstantinos Mavropanos, who is expected to return to training following a groin injury later in the month

 Laurent Koscielny was fully involved in Wednesday's session once against as Arsenal continue to integrate the defender back into the squad following his ruptured Achilles

 The French centre-back will not feature against Sporting but is pencilled in to make his return to first-team action in one of the final two Europa League group stage games against FC Vorskla on November 29 or Qarabag on December 13

So seems this chapter is pretty much dealing with the aftermath events. You got

this anti Survey Corps Eren faction also known as the cult of Eren which is not

even that big only about a hundred soldiers or should I say a hundred

potential Titans. Of course the cult of Eren is purging those against their

Almighty God Eren because really it's all about the

team Jager the union of Eren and Zeke cannot be stopped. Very interesting to

note as this chapter is Kiyomi back on Paradise Island so how long had it been

since the government bombing or was she already there? And also funny how Kiyomi

was quick to appear after the problem at the surrey core is having

could she really have been involved to add to that has been the popular idea

that anyone that gets close to Kiyomi ends up dying for example he had Kiyomi

chatting with Willie Tiber then a little bit later Eren turned him into

hamburger meat or how about Zachary before he got blown up like a frickin

pinata as for hanji this chapter it really does

suck seeing handi taking the blame for this even though these military police

guys are as much to blame as anyone else even more salt on the wound is a recent

up writing arc fresh in everyone's mind from season 3 on top of this of why is

the Serb record taking all the blame I do like how hanji pointed out that

there's a good chance that more of Eren's cult is hiding among them at

for now Pixies is running with the line about negotiating with them right

negotiation it does feel more like Pixies is aware about an errant faller

Pixies this guy just took an empty seat that no one seems to want right now of

course even in Pixies wasn't being totally honest he's right that the

unfortunately that deep Marlee brainwashing is still running inside

Niccolo vs. Gabby but really not much of a fight and dammit Falco did you really

have to get in the freakin way I know you want a piece of that ass but come on

I literally screamed when I saw Falco take the hit for Gabby

in his head no less watch this is just further foreshadowing Falco dying over

selective about the wine he even reverted back to the halo Majerle status

just to keep the stallion and friends from taking that sweet nectar at this

-But I feel as if -- And I feel as if

two things were happening last night.

I feel like one place was trying to be extremely calm...

And then I feel like another outlet was really lively,

and it felt like maybe, like, the common space in a dorm.

-Right. Everybody just kind of -- Yeah.

-The only thing I found very stressful last night

is how every time something happened,

they'd go, "We have a big result."

And you realize they never say, "This next one is meaningless."

Yeah, but, you know, I don't quite know how to feel either.

I mean, I certainly know I could feel worse.

-Right, right. I've said that to myself.

-And I didn't feel that two years ago.

Two years ago, I didn't say,

"Well, it could have been worse."

-Yeah. No. Exactly.

And then, in fact, it proved to be worse.

-Right.

But on the night, I couldn't imagine.

-You thought, well, yes, there is some comfort

in knowing --

-With that, yeah, so -- But I'm also trepidatious about

what it means -- I mean, I don't -- based on even

the events of today, I don't feel like,

"Well, we had a midterm, and then everything settled down."

-Right.

Now, this is a question that I did.

I asked so many -- Mostly, I asked the television last night,

but some people around me did say,

"That's a good question."

When people were -- I wouldn't say gloating,

but there was, you know, some people

felt really positive about this blue wave.

Let's call it a wave.

And they were saying, you know,

this is an opportunity for the Democrats,

you know, to do, A, B, C.

And I kept screaming, "But what in the next --"

There's two more months.

I mean, what if he, for instance,

should fire or ask the Attorney General

to, you know --

-"You should resign." Yeah.

I think we'd be better off apart."

-Yeah, exactly.

What about the remaining two months?

It's an opportunity.

It's a recipe for all sorts of -- you know?

-Yeah, yeah, yeah.

-And nobody -- Well, no one on the television

would answer me, because they couldn't hear me.

-Yeah. And that's really one of

the downsides of television, right?

Yeah. I mean, everybody says we're living in

the golden age of television, and you're like,

"Well, then how come they won't talk to me?"

-I know.

I had -- A long time ago, somebody --

I was telling a story about --

I was like, "Oh, my friend -- he told me this really,

you know, amusing story."

And I went ahead and I told the story.

And then they asked, "You know, which friend was that?"

And I was like, "I think it was Johnny Carson told --

Johnny Carson told all of America this story last night."

But he was my friend. -Yeah.

Yeah, that's totally normal, and you shouldn't feel weird.

I mentioned the golden age of television.

I want to tell you this, because everybody says, right now,

there's so many good shows, and it's so hard to figure out

what to watch.

My wife and I are watching "Sex and the City."

We're watching two episodes a night.

I have never watched it. -Wow!

[ Cheers and applause ] -Yeah.

-Wow! two episodes a night.

-This was a request my wife made and said,

"Hey, this is a show I've watched a hundred times,

and I feel like you would understand me better

if you watched this show."

And I want to say, I'm enjoying it so much,

and it is a show that I underestimated, having not seen,

just based on -- -Did somebody say, "Wow"?

-But I didn't --

But I will admit, and, obviously, I cost myself.

Unfortunately, I'm getting this great experience now.

But have you found that's happened before,

where people have said to you like,

"Oh, I thought, even just based on

the color palette of the show --"

-Well, first of all, yes.

I want to say that I think it's very big of you

to share not just with me but with all of America

that you feel that your life is --

-It's enriched. -Enriched.

-Yes. -That's what I was gonna say.

And I will say it's really lovely to hear,

because I think there was --

There's always been a slight --

You know, I do feel that the show suffered a wee bit

from a sort of an idea, a preconceived idea,

which often had nothing to do with anyone having seen it.

But because you could assume there was those sort of things

that we knew and saw, whether you saw,

the sort of titillating, you know, and the candid language,

the salty dialogue, and the costumes and the shoes.

But, in fact, I feel like the show always offered up

actual profundity, and the writing was really smart

and moving and clever

and, I think, beautifully illustrated

an attempt at finding love, finding home, you know?

So I am so thrilled to hear you --

-Also, I just didn't --

I think the part that I'm really drawn to --

And we're in Season 6.

You're with Berger. I hope it doesn't work out.

-Yeah.

-But, you know, I thought the show

would have more of a bow on it, if that makes sense.

The characters are so human and messy

in a way that really resonates,

and especially, like, where it starts.

I mean, that's the part about it that I did not realize,

because there are certain shows you watch,

and, you know, you can tune in to a "Seinfeld" any season,

and there are the same four characters.

This is a very different experience.

Like, the arc of it is really an accomplishment.

And I'm now to the point -- 'Cause when we started,

my wife said it's, you know, whatever, however many episodes,

and I was like, "Oh, boy.

Here we go." -Yeah.

-"This seems like it's going to be a lot of TV."

And now I'm like, "We only have 17 left!"

-Aww. That's so lovely. -So thank you for that.

We head south on the main (and only) highway.

Time to let some air out of the tires and engage 4WD.

Our objective is Sandwich Harbor.

But there are no roads to Sandwich Harbor.

We've lost any sign of a clear track.

At last we reach the coast again

and the border of the Namib-Naukluft National Park.

We reached the sea.

We continue south along the beach.

We just had a chat with the tour drivers of some package service.

So in any event I don't think there's a wreck out here we're going to find today.

We decided to setup another free camp for the night.

團長給大家講一個鬼故事。

一年一度的萬聖節又到了。

話說

有個以拍攝懸疑故事成名的劇 組

想將今年第五季的劇集放在萬 聖節這天回歸。

為此

他們還專門在正式集開播之前

專門補拍了一期萬聖節特別集 。

拍攝的方法也非常有誠意—— 現場直播。

於是

趕在萬聖節這天搭好的攝影棚 內

準時準點的直播里

劇組的男主之一——史蒂夫— —就這樣登場了。

這次

他扮演一個獨居的老頭

名叫亞瑟。

亞瑟（史蒂夫 飾） 看這身 打扮和家居用品

直播的故事設定差不多應該是 在十年前。

故事從亞瑟自外面回家開始。

一回家

他就從手提袋裡掏出從商店買 來的牛奶與雞蛋

和一部紅色老款的直板手機。

他給自己做了一杯簡易版的雞 蛋羹

剛放到微波爐里沒多久

那部紅色手機就響了。

他趕緊接起來。

可電話里全是雜音

他什麼都聽不清楚。

正當他納悶之時

身後微波爐里的雞蛋突然爆了 。

亞瑟趕緊去收拾殘局

等他再接起電話時

對方已經掛了。

他覺得有點奇怪

又找到電話里最後一個聯繫過 的人

打了過去。

接電話的是一位聽上去很親切 的老太太

一聽就是電話主人的老熟人。

亞瑟告訴對方

這部電話是被自己撿到的

他只好聯繫電話記錄里的最後 一個人

希望能找到電話的主人。

對方很快反應過來

說自己叫莫伊拉

而這部紅色手機是屬於一位名 叫艾爾希·米丘的——她是 他們俱樂部的成員之一。

亞瑟請求莫伊拉幫忙聯繫艾爾 希

莫伊拉滿口答應。

然而

掛了電話還不到五秒鐘

莫伊拉又打了過來。

原來她一時糊塗

還打這個電話以為能聯繫到艾 爾希。

亞瑟估計也是無語

覺得指望不上這位莫伊拉幫忙

於是詢問了其它能夠聯繫到艾 爾希的方法。

莫伊拉告訴亞瑟

艾爾希和一位名叫尼爾的牧師 走得很近

他或許可以通過這位牧師聯繫 到艾爾希

並把聯繫方式給了他。

至此

直播的第一幕結束。

第二幕一開始

另一位男主里斯就登場了。

他飾演牧師尼爾

戴著一個自行車帽

帽上還有一個攝像頭。

他在亞瑟家一邊喝著咖啡

一邊與亞瑟交談。

左手為牧師尼爾（里斯 飾） 交談看上去十分和諧

唯一不正常的

是此時的畫面中沒有任何聲音 。

難道是直播事故？還是一向玩 懸疑的劇組又開始皮了？ 還沒等大家搞清楚怎麼回 事

畫面突然又有聲音了。

這時尼爾正好說到他親自主持 了一場葬禮。

原來

艾爾希此時已經去世了。

下葬的墓地

正好就是亞瑟撿到手機的地方 。

尼爾請亞瑟把艾爾希的電話給 他

但亞瑟卻改變了主意。

在亞瑟拒絕尼爾時

莫伊拉又打來了電話。

可正當亞瑟把艾爾希去世的消 息告訴莫伊拉時

畫面又一次沒了聲音。

不過

一個道歉畫面很快切進了鏡頭 裡。

隨之而來的

是一位工作人員的道歉聲明

並承諾會很快修復問題。

聽得出來

這位工作人員也是有些慌。

很快

畫面又切回了攝影棚里

故事繼續上演。

但可惜的是

這次依舊沒有任何聲音。

畫面再次切回道歉介面。

工作人員顯然已經知道問題無 法在短時間內解決

只好將之前劇組拍攝過的第一 季第二集——《靜夜》—— 拿出來重新播放。

話說《靜夜》這一集的短故事

可以說是他們劇組拍攝過的非 常屌的一集了。

全集沒有一句台詞

卻滿滿都是神轉折

當年播出時就引起過不小的轟 動。

這一集被拿來當做救場

也算能撐得起來了。

故事重新播放。

畫面中

一位有錢人從豪宅的樓上下來

一邊看報

一邊吃女傭端上來的晚餐。

他太專注了

以至於沒有發現身後的院子裡

有兩個盜賊正在試圖接近他家 。

好在他家的房子建得實在太高 端了

一有人接近落地窗

窗邊的照明燈就立刻亮了起來 。

盜賊們慌得一比

笨手笨腳地把燈弄亮了又弄滅 。

只是

在燈第N次被弄亮時

畫面中多了一位原本不屬於該 集的「人」。

直播不得不再次被打斷。

這一次

連工作人員都放棄彌補了。

她直言一定會儘快查清楚問題 原因

並會為電視機前的觀眾們一直 播出一些節目。

可是

更詭異的事情就在此時出現了 。

就在這位工作人員講話的同時

一直有一個低音的女聲在與她 一起說話。

具體說的什麼聽不清楚

但卻與工作人員一起說一起停 。

工作人員顯然也聽到了

中斷講話詢問周圍是否還有其 他人。

沒有人回應她。

幾秒種後

畫面那頭傳來了工作人員驚恐 的尖叫聲…… 可還沒等 尖叫聲持續完

緊接著畫面一轉

變成了攝影棚內的監控視角。

一個攝像頭在來回擺動著

拍攝著一間休息室的現場。

一位白髮蒼蒼的老太太坐在沙 發上

正在翻閱劇本。

此人就是莫伊拉的扮演者史蒂 芬妮。

看來如果不是直播中斷

她應該很快就會上場。

可是

為什麼直播畫面會突然變成這 樣？直播間裡就沒人導播嗎 ？ 不僅如此

畫面又很快轉到了攝影棚的外 圍場景里。

空蕩蕩的攝影棚內

一個不認識的老頭站在遠處

正緊緊地盯著鏡頭看…… 緊接著又是一轉。

畫面里放出了一段幾十年前的 綜藝節目片段。

這個片段是真實的

片段里的嘉賓在參演時發生了 意外

真的扭斷了脖子。

接著

畫面被切到了兩位主演的休息 間裡。

顯然

此刻的他們還不知道外面的攝 影棚與直播畫面中正在發生 著什麼

只是對拍攝不順利發著牢騷。

另一邊

畫面里開始閃回一些過去的電 視節目。

原來今晚用來直播的這間攝影 棚

從很久以前就是個鬼屋啊！還 是全英國聞名的那種！ WTF！！ 就在這時

那部紅色手機突然又響了！！ ！ 史蒂芬妮離攝影棚很 近

很自然的就去接了

是一個名叫艾倫的工作人員打 來的電話。

只是

在她離開後的休息室里

又TM多了一個女人。

另一邊

兩位主演還在無聊地翻看著有 關這座攝影棚的種種傳說故 事。

此時的他們還不知道

他們正在談論的這位上吊而死 的艾倫

正在隔壁和史蒂芬妮「通電話 」…… 他們只是又跟著 收到信息

說讓他們快點看BBC二台

也就是直播他們節目的頻道。

想必大家也猜到了

他們在電視里看到了自己的實 時監控畫面。

兩人一臉懵逼

於是一邊在推特上問是不是大 家看到的都是這個畫面

一邊將螢幕調成了監控模式。

史蒂芬妮出現在了其中一個畫 面上。

她靜靜地坐在攝影棚里的沙發 上

一動不動。

突然

畫面又開始播放下午幾人彩排 故事結局時的錄像。

錄像中

史蒂芬妮對結局還無法完全理 解

幾個人正在討論時

鏡頭不遠處

出現了一個半清不楚的白人男 子正在緩緩地靠近…… 但是此刻

里斯見到監控畫面里的史蒂芬 妮有些奇怪

於是過去找她。

史蒂芬妮依舊呆呆地坐著

對於里斯的問話毫不關心

只是不停地說著「艾倫」在電 話里告訴她的事情。

里斯聽不下去了

起身去為史蒂芬妮倒熱茶壓壓 驚。

說出一句「我們必須離開」後

從身子底下抽出一把尖刀

在鏡頭前面緩緩地摸了脖子… … 可再一次的

因為他們一個在忙著泡茶

一個在忙著玩手機…… 命運的喪鐘簡直就差敲在他 們心裡了

可他們還毫無察覺。

後面的故事雖然不多了

但更加精彩。

and consultants for about six years now both as a one-on-one coach and a leader

mistakes come up and they often actually cost people their dreams their

here number one expensive branding if you are just starting out and spend more

than $100 on your branding you are probably flushing money down the toilet

now there's some exceptions to this if you're coming from the corporate world

with a million bucks in your bank and you already have a following and network

and blah blah blah but for most people this is a big mistake I learned this the

hard way when I started one of my first businesses back I don't know eight ten

years ago and I spent a thousand dollars on a logo I didn't even like not a good

way to start off a business especially if you are in debt like I was and the

thing is really when you're starting out branding is not going to win you over a

thousand new clients or probably even one new client the things that are going

to get you clients are things like taking action networking reaching out to

people putting stuff up on social media strategically not just like what you had

for breakfast that might get your clients your branding will not but

here's the big thing when you're starting out you don't know who the hell

you are you don't know who your audience is you might guess you might say hey I'm

gonna be the therapeutic love Sad coach for cats who have been abandoned during

their third year pregnancy that might be the niche that

you think you're gonna do and you might dive into it and you might stick to it

but the odds are from my own experience that you're probably going to change

direction within your first year and that's totally okay in fact I advise

most of my freelancers to start off a bit broad and get a sense of who they

enjoy working with who they can give the most value to and who are the actual

ideal clients over six months or a year of experience working with people and

then niche down then brand and then really pay someone if you want to

develop some really good branding for you besides there are so many tools now

that can help with basic branding things like canva is an easy graphic designer

for example that if you're just starting out it's probably not worth paying the

big bucks for a branding consultant once you know where you want to focus

branding consultants and designers are extremely valuable so I'm not dismissing

them as people you want to work with but I'm saying early on it's money you

probably shouldn't be spending next up is a complicated website when you are

just starting out again you're going to change your focus a little bit maybe you

totally change but more likely you'll just shift a little bit in that you're

going to learn a lot about yourself you're gonna be getting testimonials

building a portfolio if that's what you want to do and all this sort of stuff

during that first year so when you're starting out don't build some expensive

website that's gonna be overly complicated that's gonna take six months

listen if I was starting out and this is pretty much actually what I even still

have now I would build a basic WordPress site have like homepage about page

services contact me boom that's done in the contact me page can be a basic form

to set up a free consultation that's it there's no need to go over the top to

spend thousands of dollars and worse than the thousands of dollars is the

delay it will take to make a complicated site get something that is based on a

good-looking theme so it's quick it's easy its crisp or simple or minimalistic

whatever your design preference is but get it up there there's no reason a

basic website for a service provider should take more than a week get it up

there boom now work with clients now one

reason that so many people spend a lot of time on their branding and on their

website and I hate to psychoanalyze you here but this is what I've seen and what

I've done is well myself is fear of really facing the fire fear of starting

out and potentially being rejected when you're starting out it's really exciting

like hey I'm gonna become a coach this is gonna be great Oh what if people

don't like my coaching what if people say no to me what if this doesn't work

well I don't want to deal with that now let's go back let's make a website let's

design branding stuff let's work on our portfolio I don't even know how coach

would have a portfolio but damn it that's what I'm gonna work on because

that is safe no one can reject me when I'm paying them to make my website no

one can say no to my services so I'm gonna work on my website I'm gonna work

on my branding but I'm never gonna ask someone if they actually want to work

with me cuz that could be scary now listen I'm not trying to mock here

because I'm literally talking to myself many years ago so don't feel like this

is an attack this is something I just see a ton and that's why I want to make

it a bit of a joke to show you the pattern that you may say I don't know

you we're just you know YouTube friends hopefully youtuber and subscriber

friends by this point so I don't know you but this is a pattern I see and see

and if you do catch yourself doing this I want you to be aware of it and maybe

you say you know what it is fear and I'm still gonna just do my website first

fine but at least you know about the unconscious patterns that are shaping

your strategic business decisions and generally when fear and our unconscious

are shaping our business strategies it's not a great thing speaking of fear there

is another expense a big expense that you should not be spending any money on

when you were starting out and that is ridiculously expensive

training the most common place I see this is coaches often coaches who have a

lot of technical industry experience like maybe they worth their

a counselor or a psychologist already and they want to move to coaching but

you also see this with designers copywriters people all over the map is

they spend a ton of money I'm talking five ten twenty thousand dollars on

technical training before starting out and getting clients and this is really

dangerous one because you might spend a bunch of money for training that almost

always does not teach you how to actually get clients and build a

business the biggest complaint I hear from coaches about coaching training

where you learn the techniques is they don't learn anything about building a

business that's why they come and hire me is I actually want clients and I

wanted to do this not just you know intellectually masturbate about all

these coaching techniques I've learned and the thing is if I think when you're

starting a business the best thing to do is get clients early on right away and

these are some of the strategies that I covered I think I've even covered on

this channel is like get clients from the very beginning charge less have a

simple service but start working with people get experience get momentum get

excitement and then and then you can keep furthering your education and get

better and better but you'll do that a lot quicker when you have real-world

experience when you're actually working with clients so let me give you a real

world example of what that could look like something that one of my

subscribers actually did and they wanted to become a health coach they were

studying health and nutrition they were not done their degree they were still in

school for it definitely not ready according to most academic standards but

they did not want an academic average life so they took action what they did

is they came up with a simple 12-week coaching program something that would

benefit the average person because the truth is when it comes to health and

nutrition the average person probably knows this much and someone who's

already two or three years into a health and nutrition degree probably knows like

this much and can provide a ton of value and they're not saying they're gonna

work with people with extreme cases and super challenges and everything else but

be able over 12 weeks to provide a lot of value and a foundation for better

health and that's what they did they they came up with basically 12 weeks

here's what we do each week they put this up on Facebook and they

sold it out immediately and had a waiting list for the second package

that's pretty cool and then guess what as they're going through their education

they can be applying it all I think back and I did a psychology degree myself and

okay so psychology was an interesting one because you could apply it kind of

day-to-day like with dating or with promotion of parties you were doing or

things like that but how much more would I take out of those classes if I did my

psychology degree today and I could think about the clients I'm working with

and my own life experiences and everything else

so whatever training you're gonna do if you're already working with people

you're going to be like learning so much quicker you're going to be taking so

much more away from your training and yes this probably isn't something that

coaching schools or design schools want to promote they don't want to say hey

you could go out right now and start earning money and then gradually improve

yourself and build a really thriving business because most of what decides a

successful freelancer or coach is actually more like their strategy their

business their marketing not their technical skills because guess what that

will probably lower the enrollment rates for their programs they're going to have

a lot more success saying hey unless you have ten certifications and 500 hours of

Education you should never ever consider helping anyone because you are totally

useless ten thousand dollars please that's a lot better marketing approach

for them right and number three is any large repeating expenses that you're

obligated to I'm talking something that's between like five hundred plus

dollars a month even let's see three hundred dollars a month of course

depends where you live and your income potential and all that but something

that you're gonna be on the hook for that is a usually like software expenses

or things like this there's different website building tools you can get

things that cost a hundred two hundred dollars a month and yeah they might make

things easier but then you have that fixed expense forever like you set up

your website and you have all these cool features you know maybe you're using

something like a hub spot and you think you know what I'm really serious about

business so I'm going start with a premium service and just

start at the top but the reality is it's actually gonna be years before you tap

into the potential of something higher-end like that

so you're just wasting money and draining your monthly cash flow could be

other things like I even try to minimize things like my ongoing phone expense and

that sort of thing now there are times to invest where it's going to make a lot

of sense so I'm not saying to be cheap across the board I'll give you an

example the web host I use is like 15 dollars a month up from $5 a month or

whatever I had before and the big thing I get from it aside from maybe a bit

more speed and stuff like that is good tech support and I realized like when I

have a problem with my website that if I have terrible tech support being

outsourced somewhere by someone who doesn't care about me it's extremely

frustrating and I end up it's like ruining two hours of my day that's a lot

more expensive to me than paying an extra $10 a month for a really great

company i use flywheel by the way if you're curious so don't be cheap across

the board don't hold off and invest in nothing but be really careful about

large expenses whether that is upfront things like five ten thousand dollar

training programs that aren't even necessarily going to get you your first

clients so you're gonna do a ten thousand dollar training and you don't

even necessarily get clients to start parent paying that money back or ongoing

fixed expenses you're going to be stuck with kind of forever so this is usually

like software platforms or I don't know what else but things like that where you

have to keep like once you setup on them you can't really get rid of them

Which OTT device is better Roku vs Amazon Fire TV vs Apple TV - Duration: 8:35.

Hey what's up guys I'm Nils Smith social media guide and today we're talking

about OTT devices, Smart TVs what you need to do to be able to connect to the

internet on your TV? And I'm gonna share which device I think is best and why you

need to use that device.

So here's the deal when it comes to connecting your TV to the Internet,

there's lots of options you can connect a computer or most likely you're gonna

get a device like this. And so maybe this is built into your device or maybe you

have a smart TV but these are some of the most popular devices. So I've got the

Apple TV I've got the Roku and I've got the Amazon fire TV and the other popular

option that I have in my living room is a Google ?Chromecast. But it's a

little bit different and and I'm put that in a different category so I'm

gonna look at these three devices the Apple TV Amazon fire TV and the Roku and

let you know which one I think is best and what's different about each of the

platforms. So let's start with the Apple TV now this is the Apple TV before the

4k this device comes at a price point about a 149 think about $200 you can get

4k I think there's a there's a few elements of the Apple TV that I like and

there's some things that I don't like. One things that I don't like is that

it's confusing the old Apple TV versus of the new Apple TV. So the old Apple TV

you can't download apps the new one you can and that's a big deal

so Tim Cook announced a few years ago that the future of TV is apps and these

are the devices that basically bring apps into our world and so there's still

some confusion about old Apple TV new Apple TV. I would say that the few things

that I really like about this device the Apple TV is the apps are excellent and

so I have a company major technology that I'm a part of that helps create OTT

apps or Smart TV apps and Apple is probably our favorite platform to build

one because there's greater flexibility this hardware is excellent so you can do

more with the device and so I love the apps that are on this device so that's

that's a big bonus. The other thing is the screen sharing the best of any of

the devices is screen sharing on the Apple TV and so this might be what I use

is the for the most is the screen sharing opportunities because I'm a Mac

user an iPhone user I can so quickly share when I'm looking at to my TV and

so that possible Apple TV is the best but I don't like about the Apple TV is

the price. And so at $150 or $200 it's not cheap and so it's not just that you

go Get you couldn't really be committed to this device and so I think the price

really limits it being having the mass appeal that Apple hoped that it would so

that's my thoughts on the Apple TV. Next let's move to the most popular OTG

device or smart tv to us and that's Roku this is now Roku is built into a lot of

TVs this is a Roku stick that you can just plug right into the HDMI within

your TV there are actual Roku boxes and there's a few things about Roku that

make it stand out one is the popularity more people have a Roku than anyone else.

Or any other device and I think that's because Roku got that first rope who's

been in this space for a long time and they were really the first ones to be

allow you to connect your TV to the Internet in an easy way. It also has the

most apps so you have more apps that possible to download and you could find

a lot of content and apps to download. Now the other side of that as a

developer around these platforms Roku is the most limited when it comes to what

you can do with their platform and part of that is because they have so many

different devices and so it's very similar to me to Android in that you

have some Android devices that are very powerful some that are very limited. And

so the apps can be a little funky sometimes depending on the device and so

this is a Roku stick that isn't nearly as powerful as the box and so the apps

are limited to kind of the lowest possible platform and so stick like this

that doesn't have the computing power to do what may be a more robust app could

do on a television. So that limiting factor I think really hurts this device

so I have found myself using the Roku less and less while three four years ago

it was almost all I used when it come to connecting up my TV to the Internet now

I have it to download a few apps that maybe aren't available elsewhere and for

testing purposes but I rarely use it. So the Roku it's also cheaper and so you

can get a stick for as little as $30 and connected to this so comparing that to

$200 on Apple $30 on this stick that the price points a lot lower so that that is

appealing but to me Roku is less and less and I think it's fading even though

it's still the most popular I think it's fading and popularity and

will continue to fail. Now the last platform I want to feature for when it

comes to connect to TV devices is Amazon and so this was the first Amazon fire TV

I bought this several years ago it's very powerful it's very affordable it's

it's kind of the in-between to me and so when it comes to Apple TV which is very

powerful and robust and then Roku which is very affordable and has a lot of apps

Amazon falls somewhere in between and so one of these I love that but Amazon is

their platform and in their development platform is much more robust than Roku.

And so you'll see apps that just look a lot better they function a lot better

it's really a great interface what you'll also find is their devices are

very inexpensive and so you can get a stick similar to Roku that's that's you

know can connect easily to your TV for about $30 $40. I actually have this TV

behind me is an Amazon fire TV it's built into the TV and so what I have

found is that Amazon has continued to develop and improve at a rapid rate

where are connected TV devices and so for us I would say 90% of what I do when

it comes to connected TVs is on Amazon fire TV. I love their platform I lust it

love their interface it's easy to use the way it integrates especially Amazon

Prime video and so the top apps out there that people are using with an OTT

devices are Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime video and YouTube. Now that's where this

becomes a knock on the Amazon fire TV is they don't play well right now with

YouTube and YouTube has since taken their app off of Amazon fire TVs problem

I expect that to change in the future but you have to go into a browser to

browse YouTube and it works it's functional but it's better on the

other platform since. So because I watch a lot of YouTube and more people are

watching YouTube but I want to watch the long-form video on YouTube so I want to

do that on my television not on my smartphone not having YouTube built in

this platform is really holding back Amazon fire TV. So that's my

comprehensive review of the three devices. Google

Chromecast makes it easy to stream basically a curl browser to your TV or

YouTube video it's simple it's functional but but it's really not

robust so I almost don't even consider an OTT

device it's just a way basically to connect your smartphone or your computer

to your TV in an easy way good function but it's really not a full OTT device

from my perspective. So if I were making a decision today of what device I was

gonna buy if I had to choose one of the thirty Amazon Fire TV is where I'm going

to expect to continue to see development I expect lots of development to continue

I expect Apple to continue to develop and innovate. I think the race is going

to be between Amazon and Apple in this space I think Roku is going to get left

behind in the coming years. But I would love to be proven wrong I'd love for

Roku how to continue to innovate those are my thoughts on the O TV devices.

Hey there, Kazen here, and welcome back

to Always Doing. Before I get started I want to say hello and welcome to all of

my new subscribers. I'm so happy to have you here. I think some of you found me

via Doris at All D Books as well as Shawn at The Book Maniac, and most

recently Olive over at A Book Olive gave me a shout out, thank you! So I'll be

linking all three of them down below because if you like one of us

you'll probably like all of us, so you can give them a look if you like.

All right, so on to today's video. Last time I did a book haul I noted that it may be

the only one I do for a while because I don't buy that many physical books. But

when I mentioned that I may be able to do an ARC haul several people said they

would like that so here I am with a haul of advanced readers copies. So these are

books that are slated for publication but haven't been published yet. I do

follow the US publishing calendar and publishing world, and the dates I'll be

giving you are for US releases. However this far out in advance things can

change so please keep that in mind. Recently as I've been looking for ARCs

I've had an eye to Nonfiction November and have picked up quite a few that are

nonfiction. So this entire haul will be nonfiction ARCs. I'm going to start with

the ARCs that I'm reading right now, actually. The first is The A to Z of

Gender and Sexuality by Morgan Lev Edward Holeb. It is from Jessica

Kingsley publishers and is scheduled to be released on April 18th. I want to

learn more about gender and sexuality because I, like everyone else, I have my

own but there are lots and lots of other ones out there that I know more or less

about. In recent times I've seen romance novels, for example, that say someone is

demi something or gray something, like grey ace, and I've been flummoxed, not

really knowing what that means. And when you search on the internet you can find

some really good definitions but sometimes the definitions are kind of...

sketchy. So I've been looking for a resource to look to when I have these

sorts of questions and this has been it. I've liked it directly from the

introduction because he goes through his own identities and his own privileges

and his own views on how words should be used. He doesn't want to police anyone,

saying, "oh you cannot use that word because that word is evil" or anything

like that, but more to explain where words came from, what their meanings are,

and how they can be problematic. And he also gives the reader permission to

disagree with him, which I like because he does get a little opinion-y in parts.

Not in a bad, "thou shalt" kind of way but in a, "you should maybe avoid this word" sort of way.

I'm only partway through right now so expect a full review in hopefully my

next wrap up. The next book and another one that I hope to get to in November

but I haven't started yet is An Elegant Defense: The Extraordinary New Science of

the Immune System: A Tale in Four Lives by Matt Richtel. This is scheduled to

be released on March 12th from William Morrow. If you look at the cover it looks

like there's two subtitles, like the subtitle has a subtitle. So is that a

subsubtitle? If you've seen my October Wrap Up you know that I recently read a book

about organ transplantation. And one of the big reasons that it's even possible

is the development of immunosuppressants, so drugs that are used to tamp down your

immune system so you don't reject the organ. The immune system and transplants

are inexorably linked and it seemed like the perfect time to read this, right

after reading that. And it's also a part of the body that isn't extremely well

understood. Especially now, there's a lot of autoimmune diseases that are becoming

more prevalent and some other diseases that were thought to have no relation to

the immune system that turns out they actually kind of sort of do. So I'm

curious to read about all of that. The next book I have is also medical

nonfiction, because me, and is called All That Remains: A Renowned Forensic

Scientist on Death, Mortality, and Solving Crimes by Sue Black. This has already

come out in the UK, I think, but it's going to be released in the US on March

5th by Arcade. Believe it or not I don't watch too many shows like CSI, at least

not on the regular, but I do love me a memoir by a forensic pathologist

or anybody really dealing with... autopsies? I hope that doesn't sound gruesome. I've

read a bunch but I don't think I've read any by a British doctor so I'll be

curious to see what's the same and what's different on the other side of

the pond. So those are the three that I'm either reading now or very much look

forward to getting to this Nonfiction November, but I do have some other ones

on my radar that I hope to get to sooner rather than later.

One is Muhammad: Forty Introductions by Michael Muhammad Knight. He converted to

Islam at the age of sixteen. I didn't know this until I read the blurb of the

book but there are things called hadiths, and those are sayings and actions that

are attributed to Muhammad, and they number by the tens of thousands.

And there's a tradition where Muslim scholars curate collections of 40

hadiths to illustrate their understanding of the Prophet or

particular aspects of Islam. So this book is in that tradition. It's 40 ways to

look at Muhammad. And while Knight does this he looks at issues that are very

top of mind nowadays, be it gender, law, and that sort of thing. I think the way

that the book is put together is really interesting so I'm looking forward to

getting to this one. Next is Reclaiming Our Space: How Black Feminists are

Changing the World from the Tweets to the Streets by Feminista Jones. It's

coming out January 29th from Beacon Press. The author is a black woman who is

a social worker, activist, and cultural commentator. Black women have been at the

forefront of social change for a very long time, and you don't have to look

very far for examples. Just think of the hashtags and the organized groups

#blacklivesmatter, #sayhername, #blackgirlmagic. I have so much respect for the

women that have been doing this work for so long and I want to learn as much as

possible. Next is Skeleton Keys: The Secret Life of Bone by Brian Switek.

It's scheduled to be released March 5th from Riverhead Books. The blurb says

this is about the complex life of bones both inside your body and out. And

apparently the author isn't a doctor but he just really likes bones, so I'm

looking forward to reading not only what's sure to be the more

medical-y side, because I studied bones recently and they're kind of amazing. The

way the cells regenerate and the different sections of bone and the

different... growth plates. It's, it's cool, just take my medical geek word for it.

But not only that, apparently he also goes into fossils and other things as

well. So, yeah! Sounds cool. And the last book I have is a nonfiction book in

translation. It's Questions I am Asked about the Holocaust by Héti Fried,

translated from the Swedish by Alice E Olsson. It'll be released by Scribe on

April 2nd. Fried and her family were taken from their homes in Romania and

taken to Auschwitz, where her parents were murdered and she and her sister

were forced to do hard labor until the end of the war. At that point she moved

to Sweden and continued living her life there. She's 94 now and she spends her

life answering questions, especially *from young people, of what the Holocaust was

like, and what it was. And there's this quote in the blurb which I think is so fitting:

"There are no stupid questions, nor any forbidden ones, but there are

some questions that have no answer." So this book is her answering questions

about the experience that she had and the times that she lived in. Considering

what's happening around the world right now this is a little bit more timely of

a read then I wish it were. And while I have read some books about World War II

and historical fiction that takes place in World War II, I still have a bunch of

holes in my knowledge so this looks like a way to fill them. So there we have it,

seven ARCs that I'm looking forward to getting to both in Nonfiction November

4X4 to Sandwich Harbor, Namibia, Ruffcut 166 - Duration: 17:01.

This adventure takes place in remote NW Namibia.

In this episode Ben and I are going to continue to show you how to explore Namibia independently.

We continue from the town of Swakopmund

were we stopped to fix a fuel leak in the Land Cruiser.

We head south on the main (and only) highway.

At Walvis Bay we stop for some bird watching.

Flamingos.

The road ends at the salt plant on the south side of town.

Time to let some air out of the tires and engage 4WD.

Our objective is Sandwich Harbor.

But there are no roads to Sandwich Harbor.

. Just in-shore dirt tracks

and beach sand and dune driving options. . Just in-shore dirt tracks

We opt for the in-land option.

We've lost any sign of a clear track.

I was going to stick my arm out the window with the camera. I'm sure glad I didn't.

The river was a good sign. Maybe a track would materialize.

According to our trusty Tracks 4 Africa

we are heading

approximately back to the coast.

We somehow managed to end up back on the river

and at a dead-end.

Lets go back to that intersection, take a right,

go down the river, then take a left. Lets go back to that intersection, take a right,

Back where we started.

In the high grass.

We're lost. We have no water.

All we have is potato chips.

The problem with large sand dunes

is that Ben's little car struggles to get over the top.

Or in this case, to reach the top.

That was a practice run.

But Ben is determined.

Ben gets out to look at his options.

All right, looks like he's trying to get a running start.

He's trying again. He's determined.

If you can't get over, then go around it.

I've lost sight of Ben

and do what is wisest when alone in the desert.

Wait.

I spot him in the distance.

I signal that I'm walking over.

Looks like Ben got stuck.

You did that without me?

You should be ashamed of yourself.

We're still looking for a way around that big dune.

This lowland option is a maze

and the slippery black muck is easy to get stuck in.

Yeah, right.

Ben spots an unlikely crossing to regain the sand dunes.

Ben checks out our options.

He decides to give it a try.

Success.

Back in the dunes we find a track.

At last we reach the coast again

and the border of the Namib-Naukluft National Park.

We reached the sea.

We continue south along the beach.

We just had a chat with the tour drivers of some package service.

So in any event I don't think there's a wreck out here we're going to find today.

So what's plan B?

Just go down south. All right, So what's plan B?

Ben decided to leave the beach and follow the package drivers into the dunes

dunes for some photos and fun driving.

Back on the beach.

Where we meet a girl sunbathing.

But she doesn't like Ben's paparazzi photo style.

Ok, maybe just one photo.

Late in the day we ran out of beach.

We had reached a point where the dunes ended in the surf.

We decided to setup another free camp for the night.

The coast is almost always overcast,

but we were gifted with sunshine and blue skies.

These are the classic surreal images of Namibia.

End of Day 3,

in the sand dunes,

just north of Sandwich harbor.

A mighty fine day.

Good morning on Day 4.

Fresh animal tracks from last night.

They come from over there on the left.

And they move to the right.

What was this all about?

What dug that trail?

Ben is a very tidy guy.

Wash the engine. Add some water.

Checking for leaks.

Water levels.

Vacuum lines.

Hoses.

Belts.

Rev.

Drips.

The angle of the sun.

Moon.

The wind.

Everything's in order.

We can leave.

Our goal? Return to Swakopmund.

But which way?

All right, so what's the news?

Well he only spoke Afrikans,

but Well he only spoke Afrikans,

but

said, yeah, Walvis Bay, up the beach.

But wait.

Ben has noticed that his wheels are not turning properly.

Spinning?

This one is spinning.

And the rear one?

? Was the right one spinning? No.

I wanted to check the diff-lock

It's spinning on one side.

So we've got to get that fixed in Swakopmund.

But first we need to dig the car out.

In Walvis Bay Ben finds a place that can take a look at the diff-lock.

We decide to spend the night back in lovely Swakopmund.

The old German village with all the amenities.
