What's up guys Judo Sloth here and
welcome to the second day of Clashmas.
If you log into your game right
now these gifts are already live, you can
use these right now. The first day of
Clashmas we got the Santa Surprise Spell. I
know you're all eagerly awaiting to see
what the second gift is, so let's dive
straight into it.
These will be for a limited time, this
Christmas Clash of Clans event ends
January 5th, but we are getting for the
second day, a brand new trap and it is
called the Freeze Trap.
Pretty cool right, I mean you can guess
what it does, the description of it reads,
stops attackers in their tracks, now
that's cold. Only usable for a limited
time. So as I've said guys that is
January 5th, what we'll do is buy
the Freeze Trap, tell you guys a little
bit about it, how it works, but then we're
going to try and see how many troops we
can freeze with one trap. Can we freeze
an entire army, you'll have to wait and
see.
We'll also do a ground attack and an air
attack using the Freeze Trap within
the base to see how effective it is,
I placed it right next to the core, just
tucking in behind that wizard tower
because it acts exactly the same as a
Freeze Spell you would use on attack, but
only on defense.
So I'm trying to utilize the time whilst
the troops are frozen for my high damage
defenses to do work. So you can see it
only has a 2 tile trigger radius, so
you have to be pretty much on top of it
to set off the spell and then it will
spread outwards. So let's take a minute
just to show you how it works and
describe it to you. In a nutshell, as soon
as the attackers troops walk into that
2 tile trigger radius of the Freeze spell,
it will pop up spread outwards and
freeze them dead in their tracks. Once
the Freeze Trap is in place, other
troops can walk or fly over the top of
it without being affected.
Although it only has the two tile trigger
radius it spreads out to affect a lot
more troops. Every single troop in the
game will be affected by the freeze trap.
You can see just using a variety here,
Wizard, Valkyrie, Minions, it doesn't
matter, they all get affected. The heroes
can also be frozen,
you can use their special abilities to
then push the barbarians and archers
forward. If you were planning on using
the Grand Wardens ability to counteract
the Freeze Trap, it does not work. Now we
move on to the Freeze Trap Challenge.
Can we freeze an entire army with one
freeze trap. Well you can see quite
easily, it can be done, but that's not
good enough,
we need the heroes frozen as well. Every
single troop within an army, 275 troop
capacity, which includes the clan castle,
and the heroes, let's see if we can do it.
Not quite that time, just not quick
enough with my fingers, the Grand Warden
this time sneaks out the other side
of the freeze trap but we did get most of
them frozen that time. I'm pretty sure we
can do this guy's, let's stick at it, a
couple of Pekkas strayed off to the
side that time, trying to use a multiple
finger drop but it's causing the troops
to go out the other side. Just the
Grand Warden again, I think if we have
different troops we could easily do this.
Maybe all Golems let's give it a shot,
yes they're very slow every single one
of them done, mission accomplished.
Let's move back to that Pekka army
because i am determined, let's get this
challenge completed. Trying a different
deployment order they're just not
working out, it's pretty much the single
finger drop which is working best for me.
Just missing out on them final heroes,
going back to the two-finger drop you'll
see it attracts the Pekkas in different
orders so the single drop is the best
way to do it.
All of them in..ah the healer at the back
didn't get into the spell, very close
that time guys. We're getting very very
close, I think we can do it, there we have
it the entire army, 275 troops and the
heroes all frozen, one trap that is the
power of the new Freeze Trap. So let's get
into an actual base so you can see how
the freeze trap works with an air attack
and a ground attack within a real raid. So
we're using the Santa Surprise Spell to
take out this air defense on the
right-hand side,
honestly I would just stick with the
lightning spells because it can be very
very unpredictable, but you can use 2
Santa Surprise Spells to take out the
air defense and often not even need the
earthquake. So you know that our Freeze
Trap is over behind the wizard tower
there,
going to make sure to attack with my
dragons from that side so that you can
see it in action, but we're starting out
on the right hand side where we've taken
out the air defense. With some baby
dragons now I was mainly focused towards
that Archer tower, that was the only
thing doing real damage to the baby
dragons. Once that's down you can see the
one on the right here will move to the
wizard tower and take that down and then
I can deploy another one down on the
cannon. That will make the funnel on this
right-hand side more than adequate and
then I can use my heroes over on the
left in order to work the final on that
side. That will then mean that my main
army, the dragons, can come in through the
southwest side towards that freeze trap,
so that you can see it in action and
work towards the core of the base. We're
using the Kings ability quite early here
just so he has plenty of time with that
enraged bonus. He's powering through the
wall towards that Elixir storage and
archer tower, the Queen is obviously
helping him out.
The Queen is actually doing an amazing
job and helping to set up this funnel,
she's actually taking out a lot of them
defenses that are a little bit deeper
into the base. Notice how she walks into
this little gap, she actually gets the
mortar, the gold storage, and then the
bomb tower. Walking around to the wizard
tower really to top it off, the x-bow is
on her, very heavily but she gets that
wizard tower, so amazing setting up of
the funnel by the Queen. We can then
deploy our main army down in the
southwest here so a lava hound first
towards the air defence, just to tank.
Followed by all the dragons, such a noob
mistake but i have my Grand Warden
set on ground so getting taken out by
the cannons quite quickly, having to use
the ability early on. You can see there
is the Freeze Trap it actually only gets
one dragon, so all of the others are
free to keep attacking, very close a
few of them we're just on the edge of the
freeze trap, but it doesn't matter they're
getting hung up on the hog riders, but
then they move forward, i have the
rage spell as well powering them into the
core of the base. We've got a lot of
dragons here, queen is in the way but
they're getting onto the Town Hall.
They're getting some damage, eagle
artillery locking onto them, can we get
that 2 star, we've already got the
50-percent, it's looking very likely, we
still have a lot of dragons in there.
They're just about taking the town hall
down, we have the two star attack, the
freeze trap didn't do a lot in that raid,
definitely
helped, it's better than nothing, i
mean it froze a dragon there for us, but
i guess it depends on how surgical of an
attack that you're trying to defend. So
let's move on to a ground attack, gonna
hit this with all bowlers. Really just
hit them in quite a spam attack, couple
on the right-hand side to start working
the funnel, couple on the left, bringing
all of the others through to that
southwest side just you can see the
freeze trap in action. Using a jump spell
initially to get over this wall and
a rage spell to power them forward, another
jump spell will try and give them access
to the core. You can see that area where
the freeze trap is, nothing going in,
there's the bowlers walking towards it,
frozen boulders getting thrown across
the map, but the bowlers there were
frozen whilst the inferno tower was
locked onto them and you'll see they're
not gonna do too much more after that.
Managed to get the gold storage down but
the freeze trap slows them just about
long enough for that Inferno tower to do
some work and it's looking very unlikely
for the two-star. The queen is on to the
town hall but the skeleton traps are in the
way, we're not going to get it, so that
raid shows you a little bit more of how
effective the new freeze trap can be in
Clash of Clans. That wraps it up for this

Korea's consumer sentiment worsens to level seen at height of global financial crisis - Duration: 1:52.
Consumer sentiment in Korea has plunged to levels not seen since the country was hit
hard by the global financial crisis.
Making matters worse: the political turmoil taking a heavy toll on state affairs... and
uncertainties abroad.
Kim Min-ji looks into the dark clouds forming.
Korea's consumer sentiment has slumped to an almost eight-year low.
The Bank of Korea says... its overall consumer sentiment index came in at 94-point-two for
December,... down more than one-and-a-half points from a month earlier.
The figure now stands at the same level recorded at the height of the global financial crisis
in 2009.
A reading below one-hundred means pessimists outnumber optimists.
The December figure marks the second straight month it has remained below the benchmark,...
after four months of optimism.
A subindex which gauges how the public interprets current economic conditions came to 55 for
the month.
That's down from 60 in November -- and marks a low not seen in seven years and nine months.
Simply put, that means more people believe that economic conditions now are worse than
they were six months ago.
The feeble figures come on the back of mounting economic uncertainties.
At home -- the power-abuse scandal continues to rattle state affairs,... while the ongoing
corporate restructuring drive and growing household debt are also factors weighing on
the economy.
In terms of external factors,... the recent U.S. rate hike and the incoming Trump administration
have been flagged as possible stumbling blocks for the global economy down the road.
In light of the growing anxiety,... experts say it's important that the government get
rid of excessive red tape that's hindering companies from fostering new industries -- which
in the long run... will increase investment and boost incomes.

Independent counsel questions key ex-presidential aides - Duration: 2:35.
The independent counsel's investigation into the case surrounding President Park and her
longtime confidante Choi Soon-sil... is moving forward.
More witnesses were called in for questioning today.... but the figure at the heart of it
all,... requested a delay, citing health reasons.
Kim Jung-soo starts us off.
It's been a busy day for the independent counsel team, which is now into its seventh day of
investigating the power abuse scandal.
Spokesperson Lee Kyu-chul gave reporters an update on Tuesday.
"We are examining documents and items obtained from the ongoing house raids.
We questioned Moon Hyung-pyo and Chung Gwan-joo in the morning, and then summoned Ahn Jong-beom
and Hong Wan-sun in the afternoon."

The items include the cellphone of former presidential chief of staff Kim Ki-choon,
and documents related to current Culture Minister Cho Yoon sun.
The counsel's biggest achievement today was questioning a key figure -- Ahn Jong-beom,
who is a former senior adviser to President Park.
Ahn is a member of the notorious "gateway trio," a group of Park's aides suspected of
helping the president extort money from conglomerates for two government-linked foundations controlled
by Choi.
He was originally set to appear Tuesday morning, but asked for a delay, citing health issues,
so the counsel issued a secondary summons in the afternoon.
The counsel's spokesperson also clarified ongoing rumors regarding the presence of a
"blacklist" of cultural figures critical of the Park administration.
The list was allegedly compiled by former Vice Culture Minister Chung Gwan-joo, when
he was working as a presidential secretary from late 2014 to early 2016.
The spokesperson said Chung appeared for questioning and that the counsel now has a portion of
the list,... but declined to comment further on the investigation.
"But the central figure in the scandal -- Choi Soon-sil herself -- is still refusing to make
herself available for questioning.
The counsel spokesperson said she had requested a postponement, but did not list the reasons."
Choi has also failed to appear for previous summons, claiming stress and fatigue.
Meanwhile, the counsel said that it has requested an Interpol Red Notice for Choi's daughter
Chung Yoo-ra, another key figure in the ongoing probe who is reportedly in Germany right now.
Chung is suspected of gaining admission to Ewha Womans University through her mother's
influence, among other benefits.
She has reportedly hired a lawyer based in Germany to represent her.

Constitutional Court to begin President Park's impeachment motion trial on Jan. 3 - Duration: 2:12.
Turning to the impeachment trial.
At the second pre-trial hearing on Tuesday... the court set the dates for official hearings
to begin next year, while asking both sides to finalize their documents.
Song Ji-sun updates us on the Constitutional Court's progress.
During the second preparatory hearing Tuesday... the Constitutional Court set January 3rd and
January 5th as the dates for the trial on the impeachment motion against President Park
Geun-hye.
The court also set Friday December 30, the date of the third and last pre-trial hearing,
as the deadline for both the president and National Assembly sides -- -- to submit their
witness lists and any other document requested by the court.
The parliament's impeachment committee, added another line to the President's charges: dereliction
of duty in relation to the Sewol-ho ferry disaster.
"President, by constitution, is sworn in to sincerely fulfill duties.
We claim that the president has violated that duty for the right to life."
President Park is yet to provide a detailed account of her whereabouts on the day of the
Sewol-ho ferry disaster, requested by the court at the first hearing.
The parliamentary impeachment panel also requested the president to appear at the hearing, but
her lawyer dismissed that possibility.
"The president will give a clear and exact explanation of the seven hours in question
on the day of the Sewol-ho ferry disaster through trial proceedings... but not at the
court in person."
The president has also filed for fact-reference to a dozen organizations linked to her power
abuse allegations,... for proof on whether the government pressured companies to fund
for the Mir and K-sports foundations.
The court has not decided whether to accept that request yet.
"With the Constitutional Court setting the maximum of two times per week for the hearings
to be held, both sides expressed hope for a swift decision to be made, in order to stabilize
state affairs and normalize the public's lives.

For those who don't know about Rangoli, Rangoli, also known as Kolam or Muggu, is a folk art from India
in which patterns are created on the floor in living rooms or courtyards using materials such as
colored rice, dry flour, colored sand or flower petals.
It is usually made during Diwali (Deepawali), Onam, Pongal and other Indian festivals.
Rangoli art is an adornment or decoration that has different names in different states of India;
for example, Rangoli in Karnataka, Chaookpurna in Chhattisgarh, Mandana in Rajasthan, Aripan in Bihar, Alpana in Bengal,
Sanskar Bharti in Maharashtra, Kolam in Tamil Nadu, Muggulu in Andhra Pradhesh,
Aipan in Kumaon, Kalam in Kerala, and Saathiya in Gujarat.
Not just in names, the designs also vary as per the region.
Rangoli is created using coloured rice, dry flour, flower petals, turmeric (haldi), Vermillion (Sindoor) and coloured sand.
The patterns include the face of Hindu deities, geometric shapes peacock motifs and round floral designs.
Many of these motifs are traditional and are handed down by the previous generations.
This makes rangoli a representation of India's rich heritage and the fact that it is a land of festivals and colour.

N. Korean hackers have ability to paralyze U.S. Pacific Fleet: think tank - Duration: 1:52.
Nuclear and missile provocations aren't the only means North Korea has to let its presence
known.
The regime is capable of paralyzing the computer network of the U.S. Pacific Fleet if a full-blown
cyber war were to break out.
Kim Hyun-bin shares with us the warning by a Seoul based think tank.
On March 20th, 2013, North Korea conducted a major cyberattack on South Korea's key broadcasting
stations that affected over 48-thousand computers and resulted in huge financial losses.
In December of 2014, the U.S. FBI named North Korea in the large-scale hack on Sony Pictures
the month before.
So how advanced are the regime's cyberwarfare capabilities?
The Seoul-based Defense Agency of Technology and Quality said on Tuesday,... citing a recent
simulation conducted by the Pentagon,... that Pyongyang is capable of neutralizing the Pacific
Fleet's command center and could even cause significant damage to the electric grid on
the U.S. mainland.
On the other hand, the agency rated South Korea's cyber technologies at 80 percent compared
to other advanced nations... and its cyber surveillance capabilities at 74 percent.
The report says Seoul needs to invest more to be able to counter Pyongyang's cyber threats.
In related news, countering North Korea's cyber threats was at the top of the agenda
for a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by Acting President and Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn... and held
by video conference.
Officials gave their approval to a proposal to establish a cyber security committee that
will act as a control tower in the event of cyber threats from the North.
If the damage from a cyberattack is serious, the country will also establish a cyber crisis
management headquarters to manage the situation.

Norovirus cases double on-year in early December - Duration: 0:47.
This winter, the nation's seeing a sharp rise in cases of norovirus, a common food-borne
illness that causes vomiting and diarrhea.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says among samples collected from November
through the 10th of this month, there were about 670 confirmed patients, and in the first
week of December alone, more than 220 -- twice the number in the same week last year.
The CDC found that since November about 40 percent of food poisoning cases were caused
by norovirus.
And it appears kids are the most at risk.
Nearly half of patients were infected at daycare centers, followed by elementary and middle
schools.
To prevent infection, experts recommend paying extra attention to hand-washing... and ensuring
that food is fully cooked.
