Youtube daily report Dec 25 2016

Sid: Hello.

Sid Roth here.

Welcome to my world where it's naturally supernatural.

In the early '90s, I was part of a tremendous move

of God's spirit.

I mean, this was in the former Soviet Union and the doors had

just opened, and miracle after miracle,

and thousands and thousands were swept into the Kingdom of God.

It just like opened up suddenly.

But just as suddenly as it opened, it closed.

Well I am announcing today the door is now open.

Is there a supernatural dimension,

a world beyond the one we know?

Is there life after death?

Do angels exist?

Can our dreams contain messages from Heaven?

Can we tap into ancient secrets of the supernatural?

Are healing miracles real?

Sid Roth has spent over 35 years researching the strange world of

the supernatural.

Join Sid for this edition of It's Supernatural.

Sid: You know, when I was a fairly new Jewish believer in

the Messiah I didn't know a whole lot.

In fact, I did a national television show with a woman by

the name of Kathryn Kuhlman and I hadn't even read

the New Testament.

But I got, because it was so unusual for Jewish people to be

believers in Jesus at that time that's why

I got that kind of acclaim.

But I had a friend and I still have him today,

he's another Jewish believer.

Some of you might have heard of him.

He has a television show.

His name is Rabbi Jonathan Bernis and Jonathan and I used

to spend days praying in supernatural languages,

praying in tongues, fasting.

We had no idea what we were doing for lots of reasons,

but I know today what we were doing.

The organization I have today, two television networks

throughout the world, I prayed that into existence by praying

in supernatural languages and I didn't even know

what I was doing.

And Jonathan did the same thing.

He has an international organization all over the world

and we birthed it by praying in supernatural languages.

One day I got a phone call from Jonathan and he said,

"Sid, God has told me to go to the former Soviet Union.

The doors have just been opened."

And I said, "Boy, what a great idea."

And he said, "Let's do a Jewish music festival."

Jews weren't even allowed to live like Jews at that time,

in the former Soviet Union.

"And we'll evangelize."

I said, "Sounds good."

So he invited me to be one of the speakers.

Let me tell you what it was like then.

You had to stand in line for groceries.

The hotel rooms were so filthy and so filled with lice and

mosquitoes, and things, that a lot of people,

they couldn't stay in a hotel room,

so they moved their bed into the hallways.

Glass in the borscht, in the soup.

I mean, these were tough days.

But Jonathan and I were involved in history.

We saw, we rented an auditorium and we didn't know

if anyone would show up.

It was jammed packed with Jewish people,

standing room only.

And then I've never seen this in my life,

when we gave an invitation the Jewish people did not sheepishly

come forward, they ran to come to know God.

Anyone want to see actual video footage of that event?

Sid: And you will know his son.

Sid: Yeshua.

Sid: And I will pray for you.

Sid: Quickly.

Quickly, quickly.

Sid: If you do not know God,

you must come here!

Run down here.

Run to God because God is running to you.

I say run to the Living God now!

We're going to pray.

Quickly!

Sid: Repeat after me.

Sid: I believe that Jesus died.

Translator: [Speaking Russian]

Sid: Was buried.

Sid: I make Jesus my Lord.

Translator: [Speaking Russian]

Sid: I am not ashamed of the Good News.

Translator: [Speaking Russian]

Sid: Thank you.

Translator: [Speaking Russian]

[end video]

Sid: As unbelievable as

that was I can tell you that even as I see it now it

literally brings all those emotions back.

But the doors closed, but I have good news.

The doors are just open.

When I come back we'll tell you about it.

We'll be right back to It's Supernatural.

We now return to It's Supernatural.

Sid: You know, those early days in the former Soviet Union were

preparing and equipping me for what has happened since.

I started, rather than using Jewish music as the mode of

expression, I started doing lectures on the supernatural.

I started advertising, "Sid Roth has studied 20 years,

the paranormal and he's coming one night

only to Boca Raton, Florida."

I did this all over the world in Jewish communities and many

people that would attend these lectures,

I advertised, would be healed in their seats.

And in those days God started, he just started a miracle that I

had never seen anyone do before, and that is Jewish people that

have no grid for miracles, so to speak,

started getting miracles the minute I started speaking.

And then the same results I had in St. Petersburg I started

having in any city of the U.S.

or any city of the world.

You know, Paul understood it when he said

the Jew requires a sign.

And I think that's one reason that the church has been

crippled in sharing the Good News with Jewish people because

we don't operate in our inheritance.

That's why we have our television show

"It's Supernatural".

But I want to take you to one of my recent lectures on the

supernatural and the lecture happened in one of my favorite

cities outside of Israel, of course,

Odessa, Ukraine.

And in Odessa, we didn't know it at the time,

I just guess I wasn't thinking, it was scheduled

for Halloween night.

And in Odessa, there are more witches,

and I mean this, per square inch,

than almost any city I know of.

Well we had our meeting and there was

an increase in the miraculous.

And I'll show you something in this segment that even today

it's hard for me to believe it happened.

But let me take you into our lecture in the supernatural in

Odessa, Ukraine.

[begin video]

In Odessa, Ukraine,

on October 31, 2015, where 1000 unsaved Jewish people came,

500 of them testified that they were healed.

As a result of witnessing the supernatural of God that day,

990 of the 1000 came to know Yeshua

as their Messiah and Lord.

Sid: I wish you had been where I was tonight.

I'm in Odessa, Ukraine.

Every other person in Odessa has Jewish ancestry and we had one

of my lectures on the supernatural.

I'm speaking to you, I just finished a few minutes ago and

I'm in a historic hotel that I'm staying in,

and I've never seen what happened tonight.

You see, unlike a lot of people that have evangelistic meetings,

ours is 100 percent Jewish people to do not know Jesus and

if I don't have miracles, because I call it a lecture on

the supernatural, I'm in trouble.

I spoke for over an hour tonight.

One thousand unsaved Ukrainian Jews came to this meeting.

I have never, and this is before God,

I have never seen so many people raise their hand

that they were physically healed.

I would venture to say close to 50 percent of the people not

just raised their hand, they stood up

and they said they were healed.

When it came to salvation, it was in the 99 percent range of

people that stood up and publically proclaimed that Jesus

is their Messiah and Lord.

[end video]

Sid: Okay, that was Ukraine.

But what about Israel?

What about Israel?

I started going meetings in Israel.

I did two lectures on the supernatural in Jerusalem.

I did a lecture in Ashdod.

That's a city that is 100 percent Jewish.

I did a lecture in the Galilee.

In fact, over the last two years,

over 3000 Israeli Jews had made public professions of faith.

I tell you the door is open.

But I'm going to show you, when we come back,

actual visual footage of the most historic meeting

proclaiming Yeshua the Jewish Messiah,

in Israel, since the Book of Acts.

Would you like to see that?

Be right back.

We'll be right back to It's Supernatural.

We now return to It's Supernatural.

Sid: So I told my friend, Rabbi Jonathan Bernis,

and I told him what's going on in Israel.

This is what he said to me:

"Sid, it's just like the old days. They're back."

Something happened that is beyond my comprehension,

really and truly.

We had an event in Tel Aviv, Israel that was beyond,

beyond the pale.

This is Israel.

This is where it all started.

This is where it's all going to finish.

This is God's land.

I want you to see God's hand on his ancient Jewish people what

he just did in Tel Aviv, Israel.

[begin video]

Sid: I wish I could have taken all of you to

Tel Aviv, Israel, a few days ago.

Something happened and I have been an investigative reporter

of the supernatural for over 40 years.

I have never heard of this.

I mean, the greatest giants of the healing ministries,

I have never heard of what just happened

in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Thirty-three buses pulled in to the hall that we rented,

jam-packed with unsaved Jewish Israelis.

Why were they coming?

Because I was doing a lecture on the supernatural

and I promised miracles.

Between you and me I can't heal anyone.

But when God shows up, all things are possible.

And God showed up.

We had the shofar blast by a Messianic Jewish rabbi,

cleared out the atmosphere and almost immediately as I started

speaking, words of knowledge flowed and I said,

"Everyone that received a healing,

hold up your hand."

And approximately a thousand of the 1800 people

that were there raised their hand.

They were instantly healed.

Now once these Jewish people were healed,

and again, in 40 years of investigating miracles,

in a matter of seconds, I have never seen

a thousand people physically healed.

God must be in a hurry, not just a thousand people.

These are unsaved Jewish people.

No one is going to exaggerate.

If anything, they'll exaggerate the other way.

And then at the end of the meeting I prayed for everyone

that wanted a supernatural heart transplant.

Just about every one of them stood up and boldly proclaimed

Yeshua as their Messiah and Lord,

and asked God to give them a new heart,

and asked the Messiah of Israel to live inside of them.

And then I said King David said, "I lift holy hands to God.

Your hands are holy.

Lift them to God."

And I was amazed these unsaved Jewish people who had just

gotten saved raised both hands.

All of them were raising their hands and I prayed for them to

be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Then they got back on their 33 buses.

I might add, we had seven Messianic Jewish congregations

partnering with us, bringing the unsaved

Jewish people to this event.

And on the buses we passed out a brand new booklet called,

"Where Do Rabbis Go When They Die?"

It is powerful, but they have all the scriptures that I had

spoken about and a lot more in this booklet

to take home with them.

And on the bus home, because we had two workers on every bus,

on the bus home, this was the report I got.

So many of them were amazed that they were physically healed and

they all were saying, "I feel such peace".

[end video]

Sid: Do you know God's kingdom keeps coming.

He just topped it.

He just topped what you just heard.

It's hard to believe, but there is a television network that

covers every home in Israel that has a television,

every home, on the basic package,

meaning you've got my network whether you like it or not.

But it also covers the entire Middle East.

Can I show you the inside workings of METV,

Middle East Television.

[begin video]

Recently, Joe Lori

the president of METV, Middle Eastern Television,

took a tour of the offices where the Gospel is broadcast to the

countries of Israel and the Middle East.

Joe Lori: As I entered the offices of METV,

I was overtaken by the fact that we as a Messianic Jewish

ministry were now given the privilege to take this network

to the next level, bringing the Gospel to every home in Israel

and to the Middle East.

With a full staff already in place in these state of the art

facilities, we are in preparation to bring new

anointed TV programming that will be relevant to the nations

where the Gospel once flourished and was disseminated

to the world.

You are looking at the master control room.

I refer to this as command central.

This is where the programs are made ready

for on-air broadcasts.

It demands a team of people who monitor the signal that is

transmitted to over 25 nations via satellite,

24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Sid: God has made METV, the Middle East Television Network

available to us to bring the supernatural of God and the

Gospel to both Jewish and Muslims in the Middle East.

Joe Lori: Here you see the dubbing of programs in the

languages that the Middle East people can relate to.

We will also be able to do live supernatural programming from

our Charlotte, North Carolina studio facilities to bring

timely message to a potential audience of over 150 million.

From this control room, the broadcast signal of METV and now

ISN, the It's Supernatural Network,

are both transmitted from satellite dishes on the roof to

25 nations in the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

The Gospel is again being broadcast out to the nations

through METV.

Isaiah 2:3: "And many people shall go and say come ye and let

us go up to the mountain of the Lord,

to the house of the God of Jacob and he will teach us his ways

and we will walk in his paths.

For out of Zion shall go forth the Law and the Word

of the Lord from Jerusalem."

[end video]

Sid: Here is my prophetic spin as to what's

going on right now.

He started with the Jew to reach the gentile.

The gentiles have carried the baton.

Just before he returns, Jewish people are going to be raised up

as fiery presenters of the Good News to the world and there will

be an army linked up of one people,

one God, one Spirit.

I ask you unashamedly send me through Middle East Television.

Send me.

We've distributed three million God-birthed evangelists,

Jewish evangelistic books to mostly Jewish people throughout

the world.

Send me to do lectures on the supernatural.

And there is a day coming, I had a dream about it,

maybe you've never thought about this before.

You've heard of Academy Awards night.

This is Academy Rewards night.

Here is what God says.

He says in First Samuel, Chapter 30,

Verse 24, "But as his part is who goes down to battle,

I'm going down to battle, "so shall his part

be who stays by the supplies.

They shall share alike."

So at Academy Rewards night those that are partnering with

me, when the envelope is ripped and it's pulled out your name is

going to be there.

Sid Roth: Next week on It's Supernatural,

my guest says that the veil between Heaven and Earth is

getting thinner.

That's why we're hearing of so many people having visitations

to Heaven, so many people seeing in the visible world,

seeing angels and she says she can teach you to see into this

invisible realm.

Anyone interested?

Me too.

Your gifts to this ministry will help Sid air It's Supernatural

in Israel 28 times a week and distribute his evangelistic book

to the Jewish people worldwide.

VERLATEN Spookboerderij met paternosters! - Duration: 8:30.

If you don't come play with us,

then we will kill

youuu....

Somewhere in Belgium is a small farm

and they call it Farm Paternoster.

They said, the two people who lived there

where brother and sister.

Is that really true ?

No one knows.

But let's find it out!

Hi viewers from Takiany

glad to see that you're watching to a new video.

I'm now walking...

into Farm Paternoster.

I was here two times before

but unfortunately, the videos are deleted.

So I'm going to make a new video for you.

And Let's go!

The first thing that you can see

Is an old barn

full of stuff.

This was an old farm

You've to see...

this is all still left.

This is beautiful.

All stuff from the past.

And all those jars on the ground.

I have to say, now when I see this again...

The location is going backwards.

If I compare it with a year ago really sad to see.

But...

It's abandoned for like ten years now.

They had a toilette over here.

And the funniest part of it...

Yes...

I think there where animals beside it.

Or you could take a pee in here I don't know.

The chamber next to it,

there's also some old stuff left.

In the past this was for....

for a child or something...

It's crazy to see all those stuff from the past.

You don't see it anymore nowadays.

But here you'll see it.

There's also an old bike in here.

actually this is really scary.

All those robes...

and that coat,

and then....

That thing on the wall.

There's almost always a horror spot in an abandoned building.

From there you can walk to this outside place.

With an old water tap...

I guess originally, this was the kitchen.

They made their food in here.

It went so fast backwards,

this glass wasn't broken a half year ago.

Seriously it wasn't broken.

Probably some vandals.

There's also an old coat rack,

with still a coat on it.

An old stove

Also for....

Keep the food warm I think.

Some pots.

I'm walking into the kitchen / living room.

And I have to say, This place also went backwards.

If I am not mistaken,

there where more chairs in here.

There's also a lot of trash on the table.

Also the TV is still left. (surprising me).

This old radio...

This reminds me of The Radio House.

Last time, this was on the table.

Still so many Jesus things left.

Uhm, Of course our ...

Takiany Christmas tree is also here.

To inform you, We didn't made any trash in here

we cleaned the trash and plastic from the tree!

We didn't left any trash,

only yeah... The tree but..

that's cool for other urbexers isn't it?

I'm walking into a bedroom now.

You've to see all those spiderwebs!

See, all the way from here, to the wall.

A jar with beans.

There are so many spiderwebs in here.

There they are, the parternosters.

But...

Hey, they broke them!

Okay, someone stole the Jesus crosses

from the paternosters.

What the fuck

Why do you do such a thing?

That's so...

Here as well!

Yes!

The paternosters are still here!

But all the Jesus crosses are missing.

What the fuck

Why do they do such a thing.?

And over here you can see...

a book with photos in it.

HEY!

That's here!

Yes!

That woman...

I didn't see this book the first time.

A MOMENT AGO!

What the fuck...

She... She , probably lived in here.

This is a picture from her childhood, isn't it?

I did see some pictures last time

but not those pictures.

And this bedroom is...

So sad to see...

It's so messy in here.

This location is too well known.

Everyone comes to this place now...

You've to see

this is...

Yeah...

It is OK...

but....

there's so many trash.

This basement!

For those who follow Takiany a bit longer

have to know...

that this basement was really cool last time.

Let's have a look if it's still the same.

Let's

Gooooo!

See

The first and second time when I was here,

this was completely full of them.

LAST TIME!

So there are pots gone already.

Those are beans they hold on strong water.

to remain edible.

Maybe you can still eat them

but I'm not going to do that...

But, Jars with beans in it... In a basement....

from an abandoned farm.

Why not?

So let's have a look upstairs now.

to see what's still left.

I think we're going to be amazed.

This stair...

HOLY

FFFF.....

FUCK.

My phone is ringing.

What the fuck guys...

Hello

- Hey pal.... What are you doing tonight?

- Tonight?

- Yes...

- Uhm...

Editing a video why?

- A video, and do you still need to record it?...

Cultural Barbarians - Is art dead? (vpro backlight documentary) - Duration: 47:13.

backlight

I believe that fifty years from now all expressions of art...

...regardless of whether we call them art, will be very different from now.

We have to be prepared for everything.

cultural barbarians

Up until twenty years ago, there were two wine-producing countries.

France and Italy.

Together they were a kind of aristocracy...

...both in terms of regions and production methods.

After World War II, the Americans discovered wine in Italy and France...

...and took it home with them.

And then they started producing their own wines in California. That was unthinkable.

They started making a wine that copied all the aristocracy's secrets...

...but gave the taste a different twist. More simple, you could say.

Now they are making wines in Bulgaria, Australia and Chile.

They are barbarians compared to the French chateau...

...or the big local producer who has been making wine for 200 years.

Compared to them they are barbarians, of course.

It was an immutable world that was turned completely upside down.

The kind of civilisation, intellectual civilisation that we are abandoning...

...is a civilisation that we could call romantic.

With all the experience and depth, the effort we put into learning things.

We never moved away from that kind of approach.

I don't think anything happened...

...between 1850 to 2000, from a cultural point of view.

As far as intelligence is concerned...

...we were completely stuck in that mind-set.

The real turning point took place fifteen years ago.

300 years from now, people will be studying the romantic period...

...and the end of the romantic period. That's where we're at now.

And the new period, that will also be given a name.

The new period will coincide with the emergence of the digital world.

The Internet period.

When I was little, it was an insult to call someone superficial.

It meant you were simple. Stupid.

Profoundness however, was held in high esteem.

One of the four, five things that the barbarians have done, is turn that around.

They have reinvented superficiality and given it a new meaning.

Saying you're standing on the earth's surface...

...and that your work surfs over the surface is a compliment these days.

If the sense of the world is represented by shapes...

...that we draw by connecting dots on all four corners of the world...

...then being able to travel fast to connect those dots...

...is the most important thing.

You will never be able to travel past those dots. You'd never finish.

Because if we keep looking up, everything becomes huge.

Principles become something you'd kill or die for.

This new stage in human development is born out of the shocking things...

...we experienced in the previous century.

If you think about the horrors of the 20th century...

...National Socialism, Stalinism, many dictatorships...

That would have been impossible with a superficial humanity.

It could only happen in a world where values are pillars...

...that reach into the centre of the earth. The Truth.

In an ever-changing world, Hitler would be ridiculous.

Some years ago, I did research into the workings of financial markets.

I found it interesting that we have very abstract ideas about financial markets.

Complex, virtual. I delved deeper into the subject.

It makes use of our communication system and Internet cables.

Those spots are perfectly traceable.

This is a map of the world marking all cable landing points.

This is Rotax. It's on the map because it's planned.

It's not there yet, but I marked it because I wanted to go there.

I wanted to visit the site and see if anything was happening yet...

...or whether I could spot any activity.

When I got there, I saw a dilapidated village.

Actually, this is one of the few places in the world without cables.

Because of global warming the Arctic ice is slowly melting...

...making it possible to lay a submarine cable...

...that connects Tokyo's and London's financial markets.

So the melting ice allows for new routes for faster data communication...

...for financial markets. So less ice leads to more money.

I find that moment interesting...

...where we have to actively participate, ask questions and imagine things...

...instead of having everything done for us like the media do.

We are surrounded by phenomena and objects that are so huge...

...they transcend our perception.

We never see it, come across it, we have no control over it...

...but we are constantly connected to it...

...and its effects are noticeable in many different ways.

Do you care if people call it art or research?

No. I mean, what I find interesting...

...is that the work can end up in many different contexts.

It can start off a debate between people from different disciplines.

That's what matters most to me. It's what these topics require.

There is no wind right now.

What do you do for a living?

I'm a driver. - I'm a lift operator.

I work in the nickel mines.

I'm from Nikel. I teach piano at music school.

I live in Zapolyarny but I was born in Nikel.

What do you do for a living? - I'm a computer specialist.

What do you think of this project? - They are mostly interested...

In sounds of nature. - Sounds of nature, yes.

And how the air moves. They have sticks that make sounds.

Like wind turbine blades.

I think it's something from way back, when the Sami lived here.

It's a typical Sami sound.

Back then, people were a lot closer to nature.

Only fifteen years ago, we had completely different winds here.

Today, there is very little wind, but normally there's a lot.

Because of human intervention in nature, the wind direction has changed.

I believe that fifty years from now, all expressions of art...

...regardless of whether we call them art, will be very different from now.

The process has already started.

It's fantastic. Who knows what they will be creating?

But if I had to identify master pieces of barbarian culture today...

Well, there aren't any yet.

Many things come close, they are precursors.

But we still have to wait a while for radical change.

We have to be prepared for everything.

One the biggest problems, maybe the biggest one, is economic inequality.

Today's art world deals with economic inequality by making films...

...drawings or projects which temporarily eliminate that inequality...

...and show it off in fancy art galleries in London or Venice.

And that simply isn't good enough...

...because ultimately critical art leads to economic growth...

...in London, Venice and New York.

This is a former Unilever plantation, their first one ever.

Established in 1911, it's called Leverville, in Congo.

They confiscated this whole area where many natural palm trees grew.

Free trade was banned and all the palm oil that grew here...

...was shipped to Liverpool for the production of Sunlight soap.

This was the corner stone of Unilever's future business empire.

I had artist friends in Kinshasa who got together with people who worked here.

Their job is to climb palm trees and pick the nuts.

They earn some money, but all proceeds go to the former Unilever factory.

I wanted to set up an arts centre, so we had to work with artists.

These are no official artists, they are plantation workers. But after a while...

It's not that difficult, so they started to make paintings and sculptures.

Friends of the plantation workers make clay sculptures...

...which are scanned in 3D and converted into digital files.

The clay sculptures are then reproduced...

...in cocoa from these plantations that ends up in the port of Amsterdam.

By selling these figures, they miraculously start making a lot more money.

That seems to be a handy solution to this problem of inequality.

We don't just want to improve local lives.

We want to create a deeper awareness of how art can relate to this inequality.

Not just something nice, cute and egalitarian for the stage...

...but how it's organised financially, economically and structurally.

To engage with that head on.

This costume is based on printing plates.

The printing plates contain coltan.

Coltan is used in phones, computers, camera's, plasma-TV's.

Coltan leads to wars in Africa.

Cocoa is a plant that is used for the production of chocolate.

The cocoa comes from Congo.

How many kilos of cocoa do you sell? - 550 kilos.

We are not politicians, we are artists.

An artist always wants to understand reality.

This is Europe and this is the whole of Africa.

These lines show Europe's abundance at Africa's expense.

They are the gateways into Africa.

There it's full with stuff, toys, buildings, houses.

Completely full.

Here you see an exhausted plantation worker who fell from a tree.

This is a wonderful opportunity for me to express myself.

We don't get too many of those because we live in such a remote area.

As far as communication and transport are concerned, we are too far away.

There is no electricity here. We really live in an underdeveloped area.

Expressing myself through sculptures and reaching a large audience...

...has been a very interesting way of denouncing that inequality.

Inequality that also occurs in other parts of the world.

At the same time I draw attention to what's happening...

...among the most vulnerable people in globalisation.

Artist Renzo sells our art...

...and then comes back to us, his fellow artists.

Also, our sculptures aren't about him.

Certain sculptures, like mine, refer to my grandfather's past.

How my grandfather managed to survive everything that had happened in Lusanga.

So although we collaborate with him...

...we also put something of ourselves in our art.

He's like our colleague.

We are setting up a full-blown research centre. Not to provoke...

...but to look into the relationship between art and economic inequality.

We work with the Congolese Plantation Workers Art League...

...and Rotterdam architects OMA who are experts at building museum spaces...

...as well as buildings that attract capital, and that's what it's all about.

It boosts the economy, and this place definitely needs a boost.

I think it's about to happen.

These houses were once built by Unilever. They're on the verge of collapse.

People don't get pensions, so they can't fix them.

OMA drew up a plan.

This gentleman here, Mr Kawata, has to move out.

We want to renovate his house so he can turn it into a B&B and make some money.

He'll live here, temporarily, so he can rent this one out...

...and commute back and forth. Or he stays there, whatever.

In any case, he has to move out now so we can do up his house.

The work is really necessary.

There are so many holes, this house is going to collapse.

This is a map of the camp.

That's the river, that's the chief's house and this is your house.

We are going to build something here. That will take a month or two.

As soon as this is done up, you can move back.

If that's what he says...

What's it like to tell these people they have to move out?

Not very nice, but we have to in order to attract capital.

That's how the world works.

That's what the production of critical art produces in Venice, London and New York.

The poor have to piss off.

I will also give you some money to move out and move back in.

To enjoy a nice dinner with your kids.

Thank you, Papa Kawata.

You have already done a lot for the development of the Netherlands.

Or for Unilever at least.

I have worked very hard for Unilever my entire life.

Most of the friends I worked with, died on the job.

I meet with a lot of resistance. People call me a fascist and a neo-colonial.

So be it. I can't help that.

I am a white artist, 42 years old, male.

I live in a world where people like me call the shots.

We have bought the village including the houses.

We have a plan that is going to attract a lot of capital.

I am trying to create a spot where the associated violence...

...the huge inequality because of people like me who call the shots...

...can be fully exposed. It's visible. I walk around in my black suit.

I want to make it so obvious that we can turn the hierarchy upside down in one go.

I want it to become a fundamental project. To name it, so we can address it.

Overturning those hierarchies so they become something else.

This is your house.

That's the residential zone.

And this is the zone for artistic expression.

According to OMA, this will become the production... No, the experience.

This is living and this is experience.

So the house where he has lived for such a long time, is in the wrong zone.

It has to become something else, so he has to move. That's gentrification.

If your house in Berlin or London house is situated in the critical art zone...

...that is attracting money, you have to move. So that's what we do too.

The difference being that Mr Ibeko is part of the analysis team...

...of the research project.

I don't know of any other place on earth...

...where Mr Ibeko would be asked to share his views on gentrification.

But he still has to move? - Yes. He's going to live here.

We'll build him another house here, with lights and a toilet.

But he does have to leave the designated zone for artistic critique.

He has to move to the living zone, according to this plan.

We somehow have to reproduce the status quo otherwise we can't analyse it.

And reproduce it in such a way that it attracts money...

...so we can offer him a beautiful house with electricity and a working toilet.

Which is more than palm oil ever did for him.

Let's hope he gets more out of producing artistic critique.

This is Blue Band, a Unilever product...

...produced under license by Marsavco. - Can you open it?

It's margarine. - Yes.

So even though the plantation has been sold, the relationship continues...

...because the work the people do on the plantation, creates this product.

And part of the license goes to Unilever Head Office in Rotterdam.

Part of the proceeds of this Blue Band goes to Unilever.

Is that a question or a statement? - It's produced under licence.

The owner of the brand gets the profit. That's a business principle.

It's not just the fact that Unilever adopts a green image.

What's more important to me...

...is that for twelve consecutive years at Tate Modern in London...

...Unilever sponsored one of the most public art events.

Each year, the Turbine Hall hosted yet another spectacle...

...where art could show its importance to the public.

Including politically critical works by Ai Weiwei...

...or works about changing labour conditions by Tino Seghal.

Fantastic works, sponsored by Unilever and its poor plantation workers.

So yes...

To me, that is horrendous inequality.

First and foremost.

But it's also a complete failure of what art can do.

The one thing an artwork can do, is understanding its role in the world.

Visual arts is the only knowledge domain in which objects can self-reflect.

A car has to drive, shampoo has to wash your hair...

...but an artwork has to first and foremost reflect on itself.

If fantastic works of art are on display at Tate Modern...

...the largest art museum in the world, courtesy of Unilever...

...and those works are unaware they're paid for by shocking and abject poverty...

...it's simply bad art.

Filhós de Natal | Portuguese Christmas Recipe with my Grampa - Duration: 3:37.

Hello everyone! Welcome to my channel

Today I am here with my grandfather

Say hello...

Hello!

And what are we going to make?

We are going to make filhós, my father's recipe!

My grandfather makes these filhós every year

they are delicious and we are going to explain how you can make them.

This video is going to be in Portuguese

because, like the there video that I have made with my grandmother

My grandparents don't know how to speak in English

So it's going to be in Portuguese

But there are going to be English subtitles available

if you need it.

Yes? Let's start?

For this recipe we will need this type of iron molds

I will leave a link in the description box if you want to buy these type of moods.

Let's start by joining 300g of flour

2,5 dl of milk

and 2 eggs.

Then mix well the mixture

and add the juice of an orange

Now add a small chalice of àgua ardente

that is a type of Portuguese bagasse

but you can add any other type of bagasse that you like

add a teaspoon of baking flour

a teaspoon of melted butter

and mix everything very well, once more.

Then in a pan place some vegetable oil

until it is 3 finger deep

boil it in low temperature

put the molds into the oil and wait for them to be hot

To check if they are hot enough, my grandfather

normally place them close to his cheek to see if he can feel the heat

When they are hot, take out the mold

let the oil drip off

and put it, at the surface, into the mixture

wait some seconds until you stop hearing the boiling noise

and then place it into the oil

first, only at the surface

and then deeper

and finally shake it to take the filhó out of the mold

careful because when to put it into the mixture

the top part of the mold cannot be covered by the mixture

So as I said, place it in the oil at the surface

so the dough gets a distance from the iron mold

and the place in completely into the oil, more deep

and shake it!

With a fork or a spatula, take the filhó out of the oil

and place it over some kitchen paper to suck the oil

If the mold is not hot enough or is very complex

it can happen that the dough does not get off the mold

You just have to clean the mold and try again

And that's basically it...

Then you just have to continue the process until there is no more mixture left.

At the end, in a small bowl, join sugar

with cinnamon, mix well,

and sprinkle the filhós.

And that's done!!

Goodbye and Merry Christmas!!

and a happy new year! Happy new year!

HOW TO AVOID SPELLING MISTAKES #learninglanguages - Duration: 1:57.

How to avoid the spelling mistakes?

well, spellcheckers are great,

but maybe you have... you will have an

examination and you need to avoid some

frequent spelling mistakes and you need

you need to handwrite. Fine.

technique I am about to explain it's about

writing the word first with the mistake

and second without the mistake. For example:

you have the word "caballo" in Spanish.

You maybe make the spelling mistake

that you write it always with "v" and the

correct spelling is with "b. Well, write it

wrong. This is the wrong spelling and you write it five

times with the mistake larger and put an

X on it... through it.. five times.

Ok... and then you can write it

well with the right letter "ca-ba--llo", but

this time with the right letter larger

and with a circle around it or underline

it. And you can write this five times

again. Here the goal is to become

conscious about your mistake first and

then about the correct spelling second and

this will make the word...the correct word

and correct spelling to stick in your

your your mind. And that's it. Thank you.

Bye-bye
