Youtube daily report Dec 27 2016

This is Music Corner Breve.

I'm David Kulma.

Can you hear the difference between a march and a waltz?

One helps you stay in step during a parade.

The other helps you dance with a partner.

But what makes them different?

We count march steps in 2 and waltz steps in 3.

We group our steps differently.

We say they have different meters.

But what if I told you that we might count a march in 3 or a waltz in 2?

Let's hear a couple of examples.

Let's count Sousa's "Liberty Bell" March in 2.

That's how we would count the steps.

Now I'll count in 3.

Here's Tchaikovsky's "Waltz of the Flowers."

I'll count in 3.

Now I'll count in 2.

So how did I do that?

The beat you step to is not the only pulse!

When I counted the march in 3, I was counting a faster pulse, and when I counted the waltz

in 2, I was counting a slower pulse.

Meters are made up of multiple interlocking pulses that can mix and match pulses grouped

in 2 and 3 on different levels.

But what if wanted them on the same level?

Here's the backdrop to "This Is Prophetic!" from John Adams's "Nixon in China."

Do you hear it?

The two pulses share a common slower pulse.

The green meter fills this slower pulse with two counts, while the blue meter fills it

with three counts.

2 and 3 are in direct conflict with each other rather than working together!

I told you all of this to introduce a music theory tool.

It's called a ski-hill graph.

Richard Cohn created ski-hill graphs to represent music with conflicting pulses.

This single diamond graph for this Adams aria has four pulses.

The note values on the top and bottom show the two shared pulses: the common slower pulse

and an implied faster pulse (there are eighth notes later in the aria).

Notice the lines connecting these two common pulses to the conflicting ones in the middle.

The lines moving down to the left connect pulses related by 2.

The lines moving down to the right show pulses related by 3.

Notice that there is no line through the middle connecting the conflicting pulses.

The dotted quarter on the left is the pulse for the green meter and the quarter on the

right is the pulse for blue meter.

The idea of the graph name is that, like a skier on a mountain, you start at the top

of the diamond, and then ski down either marked path to the single bottom.

While other examples ski each path at different times, like "America" from Bernstein's

"West Side Story," Adams instead chooses to go down both paths simultaneously.

Let's hear the aria backdrop once more to see the pulses and the graph together.

Ski-hill graphs for simple hemiolas are only the beginning.

With more diamonds, we can represent what Cohn calls complex hemiolas.

Here's a little Brahms to send us out.

A special thanks to Richard Cohn and Andrea Calilhanna for their help and comments as

I made this video.

Have a happy New Year, music nerds!

I'll see you in February with new videos.

And remember "everything we do is music."

This Unorthodox Procedure Makes Short People A Foot Taller - Duration: 3:10.

IF ONLY THERE WAS ANOTHER WAY!

Whattup shorties, short Jules here for a DNews short.

I am five-foot-eight, which is below the average height for an adult American male, roughly

five-foot-nine-and-a-half.

For our entire lives, we've been told that there is nothing we can really do about being

short.

For most everything else, there is plastic surgery, or medication, or some other solution,

while us shorties are stuck with shoe lifts and pinstripes.

But what if I told you vertically challenged friends that there is a way to grow taller,

even as a fully grown adult.

The only catch?

Well, you have to break your legs.

A medical procedure, called "distraction osteogenesis", can actually lengthen your

bones by a few inches, and was originally developed to treat those with uneven leg lengths,

or dwarfism.

This is essentially done by breaking the bone, then separating or stretching it for the bone

to heal in a longer position.

Today it is mostly used to treat disorders of the face, where the jaw or chin or skull

may not be the right size, or growing in the right direction.

But in China, this surgery saw popularity around the early 2000s, and is still being

done around the world as a cure for, well, shortness.

There are three stages to the heightening procedure.

The first is called the "latency phase".

The legbone, usually the tibia, is either fully separated, or just cut into what is

essentially a fracture.

The second, 'distraction phase' introduces a separating device, often a Ilizarov apparatus.

This surrounds the leg and bolts into the bone, allowing not only stabilization, but

separation.

Each day, the device separates the two parts of the tibia by about one millimeter.

While the device separates the bone, a callus forms at the site of the break.

As the bone is spread farther and farther apart, the callus is resorbed and replaced

by a collagen structure.

Collagen is a protein that forms the connective tissues in our bodies.

New blood vessels grow around this collagen and special cells called osteoblasts move

in to create the actual bone material.

At this stage though, the bone material has not mineralized, or become fully hard.

Once the desired length is reached, which often tops out at just a few inches, the final

phase begins: consolidation.

In this phase, the bone material mineralizes -- and this takes about a month for each centimeter

in length!.

The now slightly taller patient just has to undergo several months of physical therapy

to learn how to walk again.

As you might imagine, the whole process is very painful.

And, according to a study published in 2014 by the European Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery

and Traumatology, 77% of patients experience complications, and 70% of those complications

were major, including axis deviation, or leg alignment, hardening of joints, and psychological

problems.

The Hospital for Special Surgery in the US claims to have added up to a full foot in

height to those with dwarfism, although most people are only able to achieve a height boost

of a few inches.

So, yes, you can get taller.

But in most cases, you might not want to.

So how much force does it take to break a bone anyway?

We answer that question in this video.

And if you have any other bone or body questions for us, let us know down below in the comments

and don't forget to subscribe for more DNews everyday.

WARNING FUKUSHIMA RADIATION DETECTED ON US WEST COAST IT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING - Duration: 4:14.

WARNING: FUKUSHIMA RADIATION DETECTED ON US WEST COAST.

IT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING!

Isotope from Fukushima has travelled as far as the United States.

The catastrophic triple meltdown of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plants international

headlines back in 2011.

Throughout the nail-biting crisis, the Japanese government and the parent company of the planet,

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) that the damage caused by the dramatic meltdown

had been minimal and that there would be no long-term ill-effects.

However, independent researchers have suggested that these assurances were beyond optimistic.

They have found that serious environmental damage has been caused by the meltdowns and

that this damage has spread as far as the mainland of the United States.

Many of the leaks at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant are considered to be unrepairable.

The consequence of this is that the plant is still pumping a huge amount of contaminated,

radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean.

The analysis suggests that this volume could be as much as 300 tons every single day.

According to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), this radioactive water

has reached the United States.

They report that they have detected a seaborne cesium 134 in seawater on the shores of Tillamook

Bay in Oregon.

Analysis of the isotope conclusively proved that it originated in Fukushima.

Japanese citizens have been warned that the meltdown posed no immediate threat to their

health in the aftermath of the disaster.

However, this claim has been called into question in the past few years owing to the sudden

spike in cancer deaths in the immediate region.

Now that the contamination has spread further afield, there are fears that the meltdown

could now pose a threat to the lives of American citizens living along the Pacific coast.

Much of the concern relates to a process called bioaccumulation.

Bioaccumulation is chemicals are absorbed into the body of an organism over a prolonged

period at a faster rate than they are expelled from the body.

Marine animals which are constantly exposed to radioactive water could easily become toxic

in this way and therefore could pose a serious health hazard to anyone who consumed them,

especially children.

Owing to the FDAs particularly lax rate of inspection of fish products in the United

States, there is now a worry that thousands of people could be exposed to fish imbued

with radioactive toxins.

There is also significant cause for concern about what the radioactivity in the water

could mean for marine life.

The past few years have witnessed an unprecedented level of fish deaths and decimation of coral

populations.

These environmental factors combined with continuing over-fishing have led the World

Wildlife Fund to warn that marine life, in general, is currently facing an existential

threat.

However, if the Japanese government and the Tokyo Electric Power Company are intent on

downplaying the extent of the damage caused by the meltdown, then it is very unlikely

that any of these serious issues can be rectified at any point shortly.

1994-2004 Mustang Xtreme Stop Performance Ceramic Brake Pads (Bullitt, Mach 1, Cobra) Review - Duration: 4:33.

Hey, guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com.

Today, I'm bringing you a detailed overview of the Xtreme Stop Performance Ceramic Brake

Pads, fitting the front of all '94 to '04 Bullitt Mach 1 and Cobra Mustangs.

So in this video, I'll be quickly going over the performance and benefits of these Ceramic

Pads from Xtreme Stop, as well as the materials and construction.

I'll top off the video with the install which I'll let you know upfront gets a very simple

one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter, considering it's gonna be just like

any other brake job on your Bullitt Mach 1 or Cobra.

The Xtreme Stop Performance Ceramic Brake Pads will fit the front of all '94 to '04

Bullitt Mach 1 and Cobras, and of course, will be for the owners out there looking to

get that restoration part to increase their braking performance, and upgrade their pads

to a very, very durable and, of course, long-lasting pad with a ceramic finish.

Now, there are a couple different factors that set apart the Xtreme Stop Performance

Ceramic Pads from some of the other options on the market as well as the stock regular

pads.

Now for starters, Xtreme Stop lets us know that these will actually increase your braking

performance and stopping power by 25%.

Now, that's a huge gap from the OEM option so, of course, upgrading to these pads, the

Ceramic option from Xtreme Stop, is gonna be a huge upgrade hands down.

Considering these are gonna be the front pads on your Bullitt Mach 1 or Cobra, this is gonna

be a beneficial part to have that extra 25% stopping power over the stock option.

Because if you're anything like me and you put the beating on your brake pads from time

to time, taking those hard corners and taking those hard stops, this is something that's

gonna be extremely useful.

Now, another aspect of these pads that make them superior to the factory options is that

these are actually gonna be a low dust and a quiet brake pad.

Now, unlike the stock option, these offer a low dust composite so if you find yourself

cleaning off your wheels a lot, getting rid of the ice or break dust that's left and all

that residue left on your wheels, of course, this is definitely gonna be for you.

Now as far as the quiet option goes, that's really a no-brainer.

Nobody wants to hear squeaky brakes, nobody wants to hear that noise coming from their

wheel wells every time they hit the stop.

Now, since they will be a quiet brake pad, they utilize a rubber coated shim on each

one of the pads, just to make sure they get the stopping power done with almost no noise.

Now, that low dust and quiet factor in aspect to these pads are definitely gonna be attributed

to the actual materials and construction of the pads themselves.

Xtreme Stop had these manufactured by high-quality ceramic brake pad composite, which of course,

attributes to that quiet and low dust factor.

Now, another aspect is that these are completely rotor friendly.

And now what I mean by that is, they don't necessarily have to be broken in out of the

box and driven on very lightly, these a good to go right out of the box, perfect for daily

driving.

Now as far as the price goes, if you're interested in the Xtreme Stop power of these pads, you

can pick them up for just about 90 bucks.

They are all a bit more on the expensive side as far as front pads are concerned, but if

you need that extra bite, you need that extra stopping power because of the way you're driving

your Mustang, this is definitely something you're gonna wanna pick up and it's gonna

be the price you'll have to pay.

Shifting gears over to the install portion of the video, like I said in the beginning,

easy enough for almost anybody to take care of.

It's gonna be no different than any other regular brake job you do on your SN95.

As far as tools are concerned, a lift would definitely be helpful but a jack and jack

stands will do the trick just right.

And of course, a ratchet and a simple socket set as well as a C-clamp to decompress those

calipers.

Overall, you can have this done in about an hour or so in the driveway at home, which

is why it gets a one of the three wrenches on our difficulty meter.

Now, as far as the install itself, all you have to do is jack up the front of your car,

support the weight on jack stands and remove that front wheel.

You'll remove the top end of your caliper by removing that push pin that's actually

sitting on one side of the caliper.

Remove the clip on the back of the push pin, pull that out using some pliers if you have

to and, of course, just open up the caliper to gain access to the pads.

Once you pop those pads off, grease up the back of the Xtreme Stop Pads using some brake

grease or brake lube, pop them back into place, repeat everything in the reverse order to

get it back installed.

Repeat that exact process for the opposite side and you're good to go.

Overall, about an hour's worth of time in the driveway at home, and a one out of three

wrenches on our difficulty meter.

Wrapping things up here, if you're the owner of a '94 to '04 Bullitt Mach 1 or Cobra Mustang,

you might be looking to increase your stopping power and braking performance, especially

if you're putting the beating on them like I do, you might wanna check out the Xtreme

Stop Performance Ceramic Brake Pads for the front of your SN95.

But check it out right here at americanmuscle.com.

Goodbye to 2016 - Duration: 2:59.

So that was 2016, and a lot of people are very glad to see the back of it.

Not surprising: it was a pretty awful year.

I still haven't got over the shock

of accidentally allowing my computer to upgrade to Windows 10,

which messed up the driver for my graphics card,

which isn't very convenient for somebody who makes videos.

But never mind that: this year saw the 10th anniversary of this YouTube channel:

I uploaded my first video on 26th December 2006.

It wasn't a very good video,

and I really made it to teach myself how to use a video editor.

I'd never made a video before, and look at me now.

This year I hit 30,000 subscribers,

and I was interviewed for the local newspaper,

which in a village like this means that now everybody knows who I am.

And at this point I'd just like to say "Hi!" to all my neighbours.

I also found somebody who sponsored a few of my videos.

I'm still waiting to hear whether they want to continue throwing money my way,

but in any case it was a very useful experience.

I have slowly been getting new equipment,

and I hope that the quality of my videos has improved.

When I look back on some of my earlier videos, which I was quite proud of at the time,

I cringe.

And I think that's a good sign.

The thing is, if I can do it, then so can you.

These days, most people have a halfway decent camera in their phone:

all it takes is a good idea for a channel and a bit of commitment.

And yes, your first video will be really bad.

But that's okay, as long as you make sure that each video is better than the one before.

When I started this channel, it was the early days of YouTube,

and I didn't really know what I wanted to do with it.

And I think that was my biggest mistake.

If you're going to start a YouTube channel yourself,

then my advice would be to make sure that you have a very clear idea

of what it's going to be about before you start.

And then stick with it.

So, this isn't just the end of a year. This is the end of ten years.

Here's to the next ten, and happy New Year!

Thanks for watching. If you enjoyed the video, why not send me a postcard? Here's the address.

Is DxRacer one fo the best PC Gaming Chairs? | Unboxing the New Setup and how to Install - Duration: 4:46.

In this world full technology, gaming and content creation.

Were people focus on new features, monitors, graphic cards, mechanical keyboards and more

tech componentes.

We tend to forget about one of the most important things which is our body.

It is important to take care of our body specially our back which is what keeps the core all

together.

We need to find an ergonomic approach to our desk and chairs...

All furniture in general and here is where the DxRacer chair

comes in with the slogan sit better, work harder game longer.

This seat is one of the most comfortable chair I have had for an office or gaming.

We unbox the DX Racer Formula Series, with high quality foam, back rest support and neck

rest; This ergonomic chair does help for longer sessions

and posture correction.

Including adjustable armrest and angle adjustment for leaning back to take a break.

The five wheel star setup made with PU provide a smooth and soft roll.

These gaming chairs go by user height for a better fit and have multiple

color variations and styles to choose from, you can even request to customize your chair

just for you, your team or business.

Now, I added the amazon link to the DxRacers in the description bellow, give your self the

opportunity to try them out and check them at their showrooms.

Now check out our quick unboxing of the DxRacer Formula Series.

Overall I give this chair a 5 out of 5.

I haven't used any other gaming chairs yet, nevertheless I have tried multiple office

and business chairs.

And I took the risk with this chair and I don't regret it.

What do you think, does it work investing that much into a chair?

Does your body and comfort has a price?

Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Jim Gaffigan: Disagree with Someone? Calling Them a Moron Won't Help | Best of '16 - Duration: 5:41.

If you have a problem with the patriarchy or with white people you'd look at me and

you'd go this guy invented white people because he's so white.

He probably invented slavery.

He probably was resistant to women voting.

So the weird thing is I do feel like sometimes even people talking about Trump or some outlandish

conservative opinion will kind of present things to me that are like well, you know,

some people don't support gay marriage like you maybe.

And I'm like just because I look, you know, like a prototypical white guy villain who

wants to kick immigrants out I'm not.

I mean that's a form of bigotry.

Anyway, I'm a great guy.

I grew up in a small town in Indiana and I feel as though living in New York or in LA

or even Chicago there is this dismissiveness to people with different opinions where rather

than explaining our point of view we'd rather be right.

John Kerry was running for president versus Bush there was this – I feel like there

was this collective thing like anyone who votes for Bush is an idiot.

And I'm like that's not how you convince people to – that's not how you persuade

someone.

And I feel like being from a red state or from a flyover area that sometimes people

on the East Coast or in LA there is this dismissiveness of people that hold differing viewpoints.

Rather than having a discussion there's just kind of like well they're morons.

And the thing that worries me about people that are supportive of Trump or angry about

Trump there's this absence of dialogue.

Instead saying to someone that supports Trump like what is it?

What is it that you like?

There is this self-satisfaction of like you're an idiot.

And that's not how you convince someone.

And I think that there's also this kind of denial that I think we exist in when it

comes to Trump or people of radical opinions that we emotionally disagree with is that

there are moments when they talk.

Where we go, well that's a decent point.

But we never admit to that.

When Trump talks, when he gives speeches because everyone watching this has watched Trump.

I mean I stopped working to watch him because it's entertainment.

It's not as if he's not articulate at communicating an idea.

It's not that there aren't moments that we don't identify with some of his ideas.

Overall again emotionally we might disagree wholeheartedly but we might identify with

some of the fear.

We might identify with the sheer raw kind of like I don't want to lose.

I want greatness.

We all identify.

That's not that foreign.

It's not speaking a different language.

But I think there's also some geography that we forget that I think that sometimes

there is similar to how we get our news like there's people that watch Fox.

There's people that watch MSNBC.

I'm a news junkie and there was a time when I brought up yeah, Fox news and my friends

were like how dare you watch that.

And I'm like I would go to the Soviet Union when it still existed.

It doesn't mean I'm a Marxist, you know.

It doesn't mean I support communism.

I just think it's weird that I – maybe I personally – I like having friends that

like comedians that I perform with that open for me on the road.

I had a guy who was a libertarian and then the next guy who opened for me was an Occupy

Wall Street guy.

And all three of us are friends.

I kind of like people with different opinions.

And I'm not dismissive of – I mean I might casually say you're crazy but I mean I love

these people and I also learn from them.

So anyway, my point is I'm a great guy.

VLOGMAS: Celebrating Christmas Eve in Denmark //圣诞节:在丹麦过平安夜 - Duration: 11:15.

Hi guys

Lingling is back

Merry Christmas! Today is December 24th

Yay, today we will celebrate Christmas Eve

I'm so excited

Because there are a lot of presents for Lingling here

And today the weather is also really nice. I'll show you

Have a look

When I was young, I went to school over there

A big school

According to Danish people, this is a big school. Around 1000 students

But there are only 500 people in this village

So the children from other villages came here to go to school

And my mother is already cooking

Tonight's dishes

And we will eat the roasted duck

And my sister is preparing the presents

I still haven't prepared my presents

I'm pretty lazy. Well, because I'm editing videos and such. Just doing other things

And watching TV shows. There are many good TV shows when it's Christmas

Very interesting

My mom and sister just prepared these apples

We are going to put some jelly on top

And then it's going to be really sweet

Lele is here too

My mom just prepared the rice porridge

It's like this. She prepares it first

and then she take the rice porridge and put it in her bed

And then today, at noon. Or like in two hours, it is done and ready to be eaten

Let's go in and have a look

It is here

So hot!

It is just, don't know what it is doing actually (Because I didn't know how to say it in Chinese)

Now I'm just here editing my videos

Yesterday's vlogmas

while I'm watching TV

The weather is so nice

There are more and more Christmas presents under the tree

We will only be four people tonight

But still quite a lot of presents

We just arrived at granny's house

Just arrived

We are going to have a chat with them

I haven't seen them for a really long time

So I'm looking forward to see them

And we are also going to eat some cookies

And wish them a merry Christmas

And give them their presents

Okay, now I'll go inside

So cute!

Christmas has arrived

These are called pepper nuts

Really tasty

Granny gave us more cookies

The more you eat the more fat you get!

We are now going to get onto the ferry

Why?

Because my grand father and grand mother are looking on the mainland

And my mother's parents are staying on a little island

We are also living on the island

But my parents live on the southern part of the island

And my mother's parents are living on the northern part

So we are going to take the ferry over to the other side

We are waiting in line

There are still people who want to take the ferry on Christmas Eve

I also want to show you guys this place

This is really countryside

But have a look here. Isn't it beautiful?

This is a small restaurant

If you are having a big party, you can celebrate it here

We are going to be on the ferry for 10 minutes

That's enough to reach the other side

Denmark is so little

We just take the ferry. We drive to the ferry, take it ten minutes and then arrive and drive to granny's house

We are going to drive to grand father's house to wish him Merry Christmas

And then we will go to my grand mother's place tomorrow to eat lunch with her

They're not living together because my grand father is too old so he stays in the nursing home

So we are going to the nursing home to talk to him and have a cup of coffee

And then we are going to my grand mother's place tomorrow and have lunch with her

The Danish sea

Crazy wind

So cold!

But yes, this is just the Danish sea

Crazy wind and icy cold

My family thinks I'm crazy because I'm talking to you guys

And because I use Chinese when talking

Every time I talk to you guys, they just don't want to be standing besides me

Because it makes them shy

OMG a six again!

It's incredible

Who came up with this silly idea (playing the game)

She shouldn't be allowed to have one next time (I did throw a lot of sixes XD)

The 24th

is already over

Thank you guys for watching my videos

See you tmr

was quite excited too

well excited to maybe that's not the

right word I was interested and pleased

to see that female physicians their

patients tend to live more than their

male physician counterparts patients you

and according to a study published by

jama the in the in this study the

question posed was new patient outcomes

differ between those treated by male and

female physicians in the cross-sectional

study nationally representative data

hospitalized medicare beneficiaries

found that patients treated by female

physicians had significantly lower

mortality rates 11.07 percent versus

11.49 percent which is much anyway and

readmission rates and adjusted

readmission rates 15-point 02 percent

versus 15.5 seven percent compared with

those cared for by mail positions within

the same

Hospital the main outcomes and measures

patients they follow them over 30 30-day

mortality and readmission rate period

conclusion and relevance of the study

elderly patients treated by female

internists have lower mortality and

readmission and readmissions compared

with those cared for by mail internists

not because one sex is better than the

other but because female physicians tend

to follow clinical guidelines and

evidence-based practice and if you're

interested in reading more about the

flying of the study i will leave a link

on the show notes page and then in the

description box on video i do you agree

with this study from to say from my

years of having both female and male

physicians i would say that in general

not always but my female physicians have

tended to be have tended to be more

thorough they listened more your input

AC melis anyways it seems to they take

your input into account they tend to run

more tests just to be sure who knows any

and I think it's you go with your gut

if the position if your position isn't

being your needs and you can find

someone else I know easier said than

done especially a lot of rural places

then I would suggest finding someone

else

this is your health and in many cases

like to study its a can be a matter of

life or death

yeah i'll leave the link to gym and that

will calm and our call brought this to

my attention from the Atlantic com

well unfortunately Texas has done it

again the state of Texas is going to or

have a defunded Planned Parenthood from

the Medicaid program not worrying about

women who get pap smears who get breast

exams cancer diagnosis etc it's all

about the abortion services that they

provide and I'm not getting into whether

it's right or wrong but we all know from

the past and current that the lawmakers

in certain states don't give a crap

about women and this defunding Planned

Parenthood from the Medicaid program

just drills the point home obviously for

these state legislators governor's etc

the small percentage of

actions are performed by planned

parenthood is more important than the

overall health of women but i'm sure

that when they allegedly send their

daughters of their mistresses on the

contrary to get their abortions that

were also apply to them so hopefully the

appeals process has begun Planned

Parenthood and the services that they

provide sometimes providing them for

free and not many cases providing them

for free or at a reduced ring and say

you have many people's lives over the

years but let's just stick on one point

the job Texas was yesterday evening

christmas day and I was sad in two are

my sister hollered out that George

Michael died

ya found out today that according to his

publicist he died of heart failure at

home died peacefully at home asleep and

if you've listened to anything I've not

really big on celebrities and following

every bit of whatever was just going on

in their life

well there are a few celebrities who

were they passed away it does touch me

because you know whether it's their

music is no right to vote with feelings

of nostalgia first memories whatever we

actually sad to hear that George Michael

they passed away on Christmas Day and I

and really i still listen to his music

today I get just as much enjoyed for me

as i did when i first heard his music as

a child when he was with web and I i

will admit here hi George Michael was my

first musical crush ever you know

everybody welcome everybody most people

if music is part of your life with us

music movies television whatever that

you have that your first musical crush

first TV crush first movie star crush he

was my first musical crush you know I

had dreams of him seeing me all the way

in canada and that is falling in love me

and spending the rest of our lives

together

well little did I know I was a little

girl and little that I know but anyway

yeah the last time that I saw George

Michael performing never seen life

unfortunately was during

2002 london olympic closing ceremonies I

thought it was the Paralympics but I

just looked up just to be sure and it

was the 2002 london olympic closing

ceremonies and it's unfortunate because

you know I don't know if you listen to

music from you know before nineteen

ninety something 90 @ he was he was on

my list of people to see in concert

before they die or before they retire

and unfortunately he is going to be one

of those people who i will not get too

to see on that list

yeah rest in peace and George Michael my

favorite wham song it's probably freedom

know yet freedom and there are a few

that come closest that is probably my

favorite song i just kind of makes me

feel the pulsing nostalgic and just I

just feel happy inside might hear that

song I just like love that song

I don't know why I slept that's all I

love the video i just it's just one of

my favorite songs of him Andrew were web

and my favorite song for George's solo

artist that's a harder one

I don't know if i have a favorite as

soon as a solo artist it's definitely

harder

yeah there's too many I can't be a favor

from him on his own but definitely his

earlier stuff

what are your favorite if you are a

George Michael or way I'm man what are

your favorite songs from George Michael

solo artist for letting loose with

andrew as well i'm dropping in the

comments section below I'd love to hear

ya or were you even read one of those

lucky people who are able to see lamb as

a group or see George Michael as a solo

artist I'd love to hear that story

that'd be pretty awesome and because he

died I felt a lot of people when you

look like there's a lot of celebrities

and people against you know on our own

life who died on a holiday or just

before holiday like my step dad died on

twenty-third december so yeah I want to

know I just kind of randomly look of

white people tend to die during the

holiday season and i did find something

according to the journal of american

heart association it is nothing to do

with a cold weather or the rise and flu

and of course because a good path for

the world doesn't have cool weather

during Christmas you know there are the

other side of the square so they have

warm weather or they just don't get

really cold weather and we don't flu

kinds of pass around because most people

are indoors more and yeah so that's why

the flu seems to fly around during the

holder during the colder seasons

depending on what part of the world

you're in anyway so according to them it

has nothing to do with cold weather the

did a 25-year study and they found it

most likely has to do with the fact that

people are celebrating work with family

and friends traveling etc

generally people are just busy with the

holidays so that if they're feeling on

well they tend to put off going to the

doctor or or even to the hospital which

of course makes a lot of sense you know

we tell ourselves that you know we're

just feeling tired run down because of

the season and the busyness and the

holiday parties and entertaining and

just you know the heightened expectation

or that your doctor's office is closed

for the holiday or that you know I do

feel really bad i do feel really bad but

I don't want to spend Christmas Day or

Christmas Eve for new years even the

emergency room and yeah although all of

those make sense but I have to tell

myself if I feel bad I'll brother I'd

rather spending our verses my family

having is where the holiday planning my

funeral which have plenty of funeral

during the holiday any holiday it's not

a pleasant thing it's pretty crappy so

if you feel like crop get your doctor if

you can and if your doctor's office is

closed for the holiday go to a walk in

clinic or a hospital if you can

don't let it wait you know because for

the people who are left behind that the

holidays are tough it out in general but

we are mourning the loss of people that

we love and care about it it sucks

only that link that is from jaha at a

hot journals dot orc quote or staying of

the week it is not wanting to win that

makes you a winner

it is refusing to fail author unknown

I could definitely agree with this one

it is refusing to fail you know our

failure may not be at ace at a single

task but just

life in general life itself many of us

many of not most of us have suffered

some kind of threw something that made

us want to just give up

let it go move on try something else but

just the fact that we are still here

that we get up every day that we going

to work that we take care of our kids go

and volunteer do whatever it is you know

means to you know various extent that we

have not given up so I definitely pat

yourself on the back for not giving up

just getting up

you like taking it down to the basics

you something say you lost your spouse

or your child or you know your your

house burnt down or something horrible

and the fact that you get up

given the shower get dressed go to work

take care of your kids take care

yourself your bills are you pay your

bills just the fact that you're doing

the basics

even if the basics because your mind is

sometimes not really there when you're

breathing just the fact that you're

getting up when you're making an effort

instead of just slide it better student

sitting on the couch and and pulling the

cover over us harboring and then not

participating in life just that basic

getting up and doing the basics i

believe that is definitely that is

refusing to fail so I'm going to give

myself a pat on the back because I

deserve it and I'm going to virtually

give you a pat on the back of nobody

else has done it for you or if you're

not doing it for yourself if you're

getting up and you're just even if it's

just basic survival stuff and you're

getting up and doing it here is for pat

on the back it is not wanting to win

that makes you a winner

it is refusing to shale what I'm

grateful for this past week i'm grateful

for a for a decent holiday it was just

me and my sister my best friend and I

did it just in a Christmas lunch kept it

very simple words don't be turkey or

ropes or anything to you

cauliflower Brussels sprouts vegetarian

was on roll-ups potato latkes because i

always have to do my locker knows

oh yeah chicken breast stuffing ya ando

en because I tried to make some vegan

cupcakes from a recipe that I don't do I

just wanted to try something different

and it was a colossal fail so so i went

ahead and made some very simple rice

krispie treats and that was it was good

it was very simple lunch she was a

Christmas lunch and it was simple and we

just chatted and eight and chat in and

it's definitely different from the big

from the big family dinners and I'm used

to

yeah it's different i'm not gonna lie

and say don't miss it even though some

of my family members can annoy me

I i would live I'd be lying if I said

that I didn't miss that I do list them i

miss my family I miss I miss it so yeah

anyway that it did way the created that

wasn't it wasn't filled with sadness it

wasn't filled with despair so I'm

grateful for that I'm living with what

is not once was i think that's very

important

I don't want to not do holidays because

my mom isn't here anymore or because i'm

away from across the country from the

side of the family that I grew up with I

don't want to forget it I don't want to

not do it to let holidays pass you know

it's not about forgetting about the past

or the ones that we've lost but

realizing that that were still here I'm

still here and I deserve peace and I

deserve happiness and I deserve to make

new memories and to have new traditions

yea even like with my what about you

home weekends ago i did my first

gingerbread house that's a new tradition

that I've never done before you know I

want to do more things like that they're

simple but I think they're important to

build on memories and build for the

future because what what my future is

going to hold you know if you believe in

an afterlife when it comes to family

members who will

have lost and if you believe in an

afterlife I have to believe and I tell

myself that i will see them once again

if you don't believe in an afterlife you

know be happy that you know when you're

feeling sad and oh you know this algae

can like this the man i wish they were

here you know just be happy that they're

not here how they're not here to deal

with the with a crop that you have to

deal with on this earth

they're lucky whether you believe in an

afterlife or not there's a lot of this

earth that is great but there's a lot of

this earth that is pretty crappy and I

often tell myself that they're lucky

they're the lucky ones there hopefully

in a better place and they don't have to

deal with this nonsense that we have to

deal with on a regular basis so i guess

i don't know for those who are missing

family and stuff work on family friends

that are gone

it's not the best of circumstances but

do whatever you have to do to help you

open on and that's different for

everybody and I'm sharing what i've been

doing currently and that could change in

the future but yeah i just have to

continue to live and and making that

reason be grateful and remember but not

dwell on what once was because for me

that's just not healthy
