Every year we get the best iPhone yet

Every year one of the best new iPhones comes storming onto the market

Shelling out millions of units

Marginally different than the past years

Sometimes it's a new processor, a new camera, a new S model

Sometimes it's as rudimentary as changing the color or releasing a retrograde model for reconsumption

It's gotten to the point where really any change is a cause for celebration

Audience whooping

But why is this?

Why does Apple's innovation seem to have decelerated?

This type of business practice is known as planned obsolescence

which is the idea of artificially limiting products for the sake of returning customers

Imagine it like this

You're logging in to watch your favorite Netflix show

What are you expecting out of the hour you're going to invest?

I would guess at least some sort of satisfaction

Now imagine how it would feel

to be on the cusp of that satisfying moment

where everything can be resolved

where there's some gut-wrenching emotional moment

and then

it's gone

Now you don't have to imagine this

because you've all felt this way

but, have you asked why?

This feeling that the experience is incomplete is intentional by the showrunners

They're trying to get the thought in your head

that you don't really have a choice but to come back

Now this isn't the series finale of 13 Reasons Why

nor is it even a season finale

Now since this is made by Netflix

you can watch these shows back to back

but for some network shows that do this

they're putting you through this week-long temporal punishment

as opposed to the eternal punishment

that would be per se a series cliffhanger

This concept of temporal punishment relates to indulgences in Catholicism

This concept in a different way

feeds into the idea that you're one time investment

such as conversion

isn't enough to pass you by.

Instead your faith is

"A path, a journey"

"He wants you to walk"

"and you must walk it"

"or else your eternal security might be in jeopardy"

that our class was chosen for a Special Literature Lesson, right? right? you remember right?? XD

Well this fan is actually the rewards that our Literature Teacher gave us after that lesson

Each of us in the class get one, which is good!

The enitre class just went crazy with it that day. *blah blah blah blah blah*

And I guess you guys already knew how this week is going right?

Tests, Pain, Brainf**k, Low Points, Extra Classes, BLAH BLAH BLAH!

I changed my mind about showing you guys the points of the tests that I did, it's too embarrassed.

I still have a few more test on the way before I can actually rest and study again for the SEMESTER TEST
