Though commonly referred to as the Xenomorph, the name wouldn't technically be exclusive

or specific to the species, and in the extended Alien Universe, it wouldn't always be referred

to as such.

In Alien: The Cold Forge, the novel by Alex White, the characters refer to the specimens

as "Snatchers."

"We've been calling them snatchers, because they're so goddamn fast," one character notes.

These Snatchers aboard the Cold Forge would be a variant to the commonly known XX121 specimen,

however, as the Snatcher Hosts are not humans, but, instead, are Chimpanzees.

In 2179, the research facility RB-232, The Cold Forge was home to the special project,

Glitter Edifice, working with Xenomorph specimens.

Weyland Yutani provided these specimens for the project, with little source documentation

accompanying them.

It's explained, there were "no species names, no indicated origins.

Just: egg, facehugger, chestburtser...we had to name the big buggers ourselves.

Snatchers."

The studies aboard the Cold Forge led to the confirmation of some long-held theories regarding

the species.

A key confirmation being that the Adult Snatcher takes on the traits of its host.

This is discovered when Adult Snatchers on the Cold Forge- having used Chimpazees as

hosts- didn't quite meet the descriptions in the Weyland Yutani source documentation.

"All of the adults in our cages have got chimp proportions, and they favor loping on all

fours.

They don't look like the file drawings that weyland yutani sent with the egg samples.

Those drawings had human proportions."

The resulting adult specimen is a bipedal alien, closer in appearance to the Runner

Xenomorph from Alien 3, or the Gorilla Xenomorph from the Kenner Comics.

Regardless of the host, these specimens maintain the horriffic appearance as any other xenomorph.

As observed by the Weyland auditor Yutani Dorian Sudler, "Its head is a long, smooth

shaft of grey like tumbled granite against the oily black of its body.

Chitinous protrusions form a brilliant exoskeleton, rippling with muscular potential.

Its tail is an array of ever-shrinking bones, tipped by barb.

It is the intent of every murderer, poured into a mold and painted pitch black.

It is a symphony of death, a masterpiece of hellish design, raw will."

The lifecycle stages are well documented.

From egg, to facehugger, to chestburster, to adult.

To implant the Xenomorph embryos, the Chimpanzes are restrained, anesthetized, and brough before

the ovomorph specimens.

The speed and strength of the facehugger, and its abilities, have been noted by the

Cold Forge scientists, as is its apparent place and duty within the alien lifecycle.

"The facehugger slips off after a day or so and dies.

We find them withered up on their backs."

Further evidence of the alieen's eating habits have also been confirmed, and the aliens are

meat eaters.

It's observed that when the specimen, born in a contained environment, can't find a way

to escape, it will dig into the corpse of the host, and feed on it for about a day.

The Adult Snatcher specimens on the Cold Forge were fed regularly - small slits in their

cells were opened in order to pour bloody meat into their captivity.

Perhpas the most significant finding in regards to the Snatchers was discovered by Dr. Blue

Marsellus, one of Earth's leading geneticists, hired by Weyland Yutani to find a way to control

the strange beasts, to manipulate their DNA in utero.

She'd been tasked with finding a reliable way to create and control the snatchers, with

an eye toward military deployment.

In her studies, Dr. Marcellus discovered Plagiarus Praepotens: The ultiate builder: able to rewrite

and reconstruct organic matter in seconds.

Dr. Marcellus observes,

"It became apparent at the moment of impregnation.

The fleeting heat of a molecular change within the esophagus of the chimpanzee, not a larva

or worm placed into the subject, but a set of complex chemical instructions that went

beyond the intricacy of anything humanity had ever seen.

A bacterial terror that can rewrite DNA orders of magnitude faster than [any existing] technology.

Weyland Yutani thinks the facehuggers are larval snatchers, but they're really hosts

to the deadliest pathogen in the universe."

Dr. Marcellus' findings are very much in line with previous theories, that the alien specimen

that grows inside its host develops through a cellular restructuring of the host, through

a set of specifically tailored cancers delivered by the hugger.

The Cold Forge scientists studied the Chimpanze hosts after the birth of the chestbursters,

performing autopsies for further information.

It was noted that the hosts were found iron deficient, so maybe the snatcher scrapes metals

from the host bloodstream.

White's The Cold Forge is one of the best-recieved Alien novels in recent memory, with high praise

from fans and non-fans of the Alien series alike.

Personally I feel it deserves every bit of that praise, and I enjoyed the story immensely.

It offers some truly compelling characters, and an illuminating look at the alien creature.

I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already.

Godox P120L Parabolic Octabox Review + San Antonio Photo Shoot BTS - Duration: 10:21.

hey guys my name is Francisco Hernandez and today I'm doing a review on a new

product by godox unfortunately it's not a new like just

yet but it is an awesome type of product that I both highly recommend and use all

the time and that's an octa box the specific octabox that i'm gonna talk

about in today's video is the new godox 120 l parabolic softbox

if you guys are wondering the differences between a parabolic octa box

any shadow octa box there's something that definitely deserves its own video

to talk about but to give you guys a quick summary a parabolic arc box is

gonna have a more narrow focused beam of light that's gonna be similar to like a

grid-like effect and because it's gonna be more focused and more narrow it's

gonna have a bit more contrast a shallow octa box is gonna be more of a wider

beam of light and because it's wider it's gonna have a little bit less

contrast as always with every product that review i'm gonna show you guys

behind the scenes look into a portrait shoot they did using this product the

Galax 120 L so stay tuned to the end of the video to see both the footage and

the photos that I created using this octave box before I continue I do want

to let you guys know that this octa box actually comes in two different sizes it

comes and a 90 centimeter version and a 120 centimeters which of course is the

one that I decided to go with and both of these Arthur boxes actually come in

two different variations there's a light version and a heat resistant version the

main difference between the light version and the heat resistant version

is a type of material that the rods are made out of the light version has rods

that are made out of fiberglass which of course are gonna be very tough but also

light the heat resistant version is gonna have rods that are made out of

metal which of course are also read tough but also more heat resistant if

you guys are interested in knowing the differences in weights between the two

different variations I'm gonna go ahead throw that information on the screen so

you guys can see for yourself if you want to get the lighter version or the

heat resistant version I personally went for the lighter version because I tend

to need to be more portable during my photo shoots

alright so now that I told you guys that I'm gonna go ahead and show you guys

what this modifier comes with the first thing that you'll see when you get this

octa box is that it comes in a nice carrying case that's gonna be able to

carry everything that you get with this modifier of course and when you open up

the case more than likely the first thing that you're gonna see are either

metal rods or fiberglass rods sticking out of the octa box itself and some more

things that you're gonna find inside of the case are gonna be the inner

diffusion panel and the outer diffusion panel which of course are going to be

something you use if you want extra soft light and

nine out of ten times I'm more than likely using both the inner diffusion

and the outer diffusion of whatever out the box that I'm using you're also gonna

find a reflective liner which is gonna be part of the octa box that you're

going to add to the back of the outer box so that no light spills towards the

back and the last thing that you're gonna find is the octave box adapter

ring which more than likely is gonna be Bowen smelt but of course if you decided

to go for another mount it's gonna be that mount alright so now I want to go

ahead and tell you guys some of the pros and the cons of this modifier and I'm

gonna go ahead and start with the pros because there's more pros than there's

cons one of the main pros that I can tell you right off the bat about this

octa box is that once you assemble it it feels so sturdy and so tough and durable

and I don't ever have to worry about it kind of collapsing on its own which is

actually something that I've experienced with cheaper octa boxes in the past

whether it's strong winds made it collapse on its own me bumping it

slightly making it collapse or me putting it to the ground too fast making

it collapse on its own and I don't feel like I'm ever gonna have to worry about

that happening to this specific octa box the second Pro that I wanted to talk

about is actually something that I mentioned towards the beginning of this

video and it's that extra added contrast that you get using this octa box if you

guys are familiar from work at all you would know that I'm a big fan of the

retouching method of dodge and burn and the whole point of dodging burn is to

add some extra contrast to your images and using this octa box I feel like it

has a built-in dodging burn effect so if I'm ever doing a photo shoot and I want

that extra contrast or if you guys want that extra contrast in your images that

I would definitely recommend looking into getting this octa box the third

pose I wanted to talk about is something that I didn't realize I liked before

because I never experienced it before and that's the reflective liner on the

back of the active box the reason why I'm saying it's a pro is because what I

didn't realize with my other active boxes is sometimes I like to get a good

grasp of the modifier before I attach it to the length I'm using such as the

Explorer 600 for example so I really want to get that good grasp before I

attach it to the light and lock it into place and sometimes depending on the

modifier that I'm using the okto box that I'm using game at grasp is kind of

hard so the fact that this reflective liner is removable I can just remove it

get that good grasp attach the light and then put the reflective liner back on

and it's something that I definitely did enjoy while using this octa box the

fourth and last Pro that I wanted to mention about this octa box is the price

at the time of making this video it costs

a hundred and twenty dollars and I know that might seem a little bit expensive

considering the fact that it's not an easily collapsible one it's definitely

something that you have to experience for yourself because once I experienced

how well-constructed it was and how great the light output was it started to

feel like it easily cost more than two hundred dollars so the price is

definitely a pro in my opinion the first kind about this octo bunks that I have

to mention is easily the fact that you have to assemble it and if you guys know

me you know that I tend to recommend octa boxes that open and close very

quickly and this was one that's not as quick as you know a couple seconds but

it is kind of pretty quick at about maybe a minute maybe a minute and a half

to assemble it but of course I shoot on location all the time so that's why I

would have to assemble it and disassemble it but if you tend to shoot

in studio all the time then this is something that you and I have to

experience you know having to assemble it over and over again you can just

assemble it and just leave it in your studio the second con about this octave

box is the fact that it does not come with a grid so although I rarely use one

myself I know that you guys out there might want one so if you want to get

this octa box and you want a grid didn't expect to pay an additional I think

thirty dollars I believe for that grid the last kind about this octa box is a

big one both literally and figuratively and that's because I didn't realize how

big it was from the front to the back and a little bit from the top of the

bottom over I just didn't realize how big it was until I actually got it and

used it and even when I took my behind-the-scenes photos I realized that

it was a pretty big octa box like I mentioned before I typically use shallow

octa boxes so I didn't realize how long and big this one was gonna be until I

used it if you want to get this arctor box and you work in a studio space

definitely be conscious about how much space you have to work within because it

is a big modifier and of course you want to shoot it with this dr. box outdoors

then you won't have to worry so much about the space alright so that's pretty

much it for my review of the good ox P 120 L parabolic softbox I hope you guys

Godox P120L Parabolic Octabox Review + San Antonio Photo Shoot BTS - Duration: 10:21.

hey guys my name is Francisco Hernandez and today I'm doing a review on a new

product by godox unfortunately it's not a new like just

yet but it is an awesome type of product that I both highly recommend and use all

the time and that's an octa box the specific octabox that i'm gonna talk

about in today's video is the new godox 120 l parabolic softbox

if you guys are wondering the differences between a parabolic octa box

any shadow octa box there's something that definitely deserves its own video

to talk about but to give you guys a quick summary a parabolic arc box is

gonna have a more narrow focused beam of light that's gonna be similar to like a

grid-like effect and because it's gonna be more focused and more narrow it's

gonna have a bit more contrast a shallow octa box is gonna be more of a wider

beam of light and because it's wider it's gonna have a little bit less

contrast as always with every product that review i'm gonna show you guys

behind the scenes look into a portrait shoot they did using this product the

Galax 120 L so stay tuned to the end of the video to see both the footage and

the photos that I created using this octave box before I continue I do want

to let you guys know that this octa box actually comes in two different sizes it

comes and a 90 centimeter version and a 120 centimeters which of course is the

one that I decided to go with and both of these Arthur boxes actually come in

two different variations there's a light version and a heat resistant version the

main difference between the light version and the heat resistant version

is a type of material that the rods are made out of the light version has rods

that are made out of fiberglass which of course are gonna be very tough but also

light the heat resistant version is gonna have rods that are made out of

metal which of course are also read tough but also more heat resistant if

you guys are interested in knowing the differences in weights between the two

different variations I'm gonna go ahead throw that information on the screen so

you guys can see for yourself if you want to get the lighter version or the

heat resistant version I personally went for the lighter version because I tend

to need to be more portable during my photo shoots

alright so now that I told you guys that I'm gonna go ahead and show you guys

what this modifier comes with the first thing that you'll see when you get this

octa box is that it comes in a nice carrying case that's gonna be able to

carry everything that you get with this modifier of course and when you open up

the case more than likely the first thing that you're gonna see are either

metal rods or fiberglass rods sticking out of the octa box itself and some more

things that you're gonna find inside of the case are gonna be the inner

diffusion panel and the outer diffusion panel which of course are going to be

something you use if you want extra soft light and

nine out of ten times I'm more than likely using both the inner diffusion

and the outer diffusion of whatever out the box that I'm using you're also gonna

find a reflective liner which is gonna be part of the octa box that you're

going to add to the back of the outer box so that no light spills towards the

back and the last thing that you're gonna find is the octave box adapter

ring which more than likely is gonna be Bowen smelt but of course if you decided

to go for another mount it's gonna be that mount alright so now I want to go

ahead and tell you guys some of the pros and the cons of this modifier and I'm

gonna go ahead and start with the pros because there's more pros than there's

cons one of the main pros that I can tell you right off the bat about this

octa box is that once you assemble it it feels so sturdy and so tough and durable

and I don't ever have to worry about it kind of collapsing on its own which is

actually something that I've experienced with cheaper octa boxes in the past

whether it's strong winds made it collapse on its own me bumping it

slightly making it collapse or me putting it to the ground too fast making

it collapse on its own and I don't feel like I'm ever gonna have to worry about

that happening to this specific octa box the second Pro that I wanted to talk

about is actually something that I mentioned towards the beginning of this

video and it's that extra added contrast that you get using this octa box if you

guys are familiar from work at all you would know that I'm a big fan of the

retouching method of dodge and burn and the whole point of dodging burn is to

add some extra contrast to your images and using this octa box I feel like it

has a built-in dodging burn effect so if I'm ever doing a photo shoot and I want

that extra contrast or if you guys want that extra contrast in your images that

I would definitely recommend looking into getting this octa box the third

pose I wanted to talk about is something that I didn't realize I liked before

because I never experienced it before and that's the reflective liner on the

back of the active box the reason why I'm saying it's a pro is because what I

didn't realize with my other active boxes is sometimes I like to get a good

grasp of the modifier before I attach it to the length I'm using such as the

Explorer 600 for example so I really want to get that good grasp before I

attach it to the light and lock it into place and sometimes depending on the

modifier that I'm using the okto box that I'm using game at grasp is kind of

hard so the fact that this reflective liner is removable I can just remove it

get that good grasp attach the light and then put the reflective liner back on

and it's something that I definitely did enjoy while using this octa box the

fourth and last Pro that I wanted to mention about this octa box is the price

at the time of making this video it costs

a hundred and twenty dollars and I know that might seem a little bit expensive

considering the fact that it's not an easily collapsible one it's definitely

something that you have to experience for yourself because once I experienced

how well-constructed it was and how great the light output was it started to

feel like it easily cost more than two hundred dollars so the price is

definitely a pro in my opinion the first kind about this octo bunks that I have

to mention is easily the fact that you have to assemble it and if you guys know

me you know that I tend to recommend octa boxes that open and close very

quickly and this was one that's not as quick as you know a couple seconds but

it is kind of pretty quick at about maybe a minute maybe a minute and a half

to assemble it but of course I shoot on location all the time so that's why I

would have to assemble it and disassemble it but if you tend to shoot

in studio all the time then this is something that you and I have to

experience you know having to assemble it over and over again you can just

assemble it and just leave it in your studio the second con about this octave

box is the fact that it does not come with a grid so although I rarely use one

myself I know that you guys out there might want one so if you want to get

this octa box and you want a grid didn't expect to pay an additional I think

thirty dollars I believe for that grid the last kind about this octa box is a

big one both literally and figuratively and that's because I didn't realize how

big it was from the front to the back and a little bit from the top of the

bottom over I just didn't realize how big it was until I actually got it and

used it and even when I took my behind-the-scenes photos I realized that

it was a pretty big octa box like I mentioned before I typically use shallow

octa boxes so I didn't realize how long and big this one was gonna be until I

used it if you want to get this arctor box and you work in a studio space

definitely be conscious about how much space you have to work within because it

is a big modifier and of course you want to shoot it with this dr. box outdoors

then you won't have to worry so much about the space alright so that's pretty

much it for my review of the good ox P 120 L parabolic softbox I hope you guys

so I would like ahh go to the life drawing courses

for the art students and get

some extra drawing in to hone my skills

because it was an arts school I met plenty of grills

oh just to clarify the program has a class called life drawing the life

drawing class is where we draw nude models without clothes long to study the

human figure and then once the life drawing class is over like after all

classes are finished for the day they have something called after life drawing

which is extra life drawing for the students that want some extra practice

thus it's the afterlife for the purpose of context

this one kid that I met in

the afterlife drawing class

she thought I was this legendary artist

who drew there sometimes

on occasions

her being ignorant assume that I was him even though I 'add a mentally' told

The Cold Forge "Snatchers" - Explained - Duration: 6:22.

Though commonly referred to as the Xenomorph, the name wouldn't technically be exclusive

or specific to the species, and in the extended Alien Universe, it wouldn't always be referred

to as such.

In Alien: The Cold Forge, the novel by Alex White, the characters refer to the specimens

as "Snatchers."

"We've been calling them snatchers, because they're so goddamn fast," one character notes.

These Snatchers aboard the Cold Forge would be a variant to the commonly known XX121 specimen,

however, as the Snatcher Hosts are not humans, but, instead, are Chimpanzees.

In 2179, the research facility RB-232, The Cold Forge was home to the special project,

Glitter Edifice, working with Xenomorph specimens.

Weyland Yutani provided these specimens for the project, with little source documentation

accompanying them.

It's explained, there were "no species names, no indicated origins.

Just: egg, facehugger, chestburtser...we had to name the big buggers ourselves.

Snatchers."

The studies aboard the Cold Forge led to the confirmation of some long-held theories regarding

the species.

A key confirmation being that the Adult Snatcher takes on the traits of its host.

This is discovered when Adult Snatchers on the Cold Forge- having used Chimpazees as

hosts- didn't quite meet the descriptions in the Weyland Yutani source documentation.

"All of the adults in our cages have got chimp proportions, and they favor loping on all

fours.

They don't look like the file drawings that weyland yutani sent with the egg samples.

Those drawings had human proportions."

The resulting adult specimen is a bipedal alien, closer in appearance to the Runner

Xenomorph from Alien 3, or the Gorilla Xenomorph from the Kenner Comics.

Regardless of the host, these specimens maintain the horriffic appearance as any other xenomorph.

As observed by the Weyland auditor Yutani Dorian Sudler, "Its head is a long, smooth

shaft of grey like tumbled granite against the oily black of its body.

Chitinous protrusions form a brilliant exoskeleton, rippling with muscular potential.

Its tail is an array of ever-shrinking bones, tipped by barb.

It is the intent of every murderer, poured into a mold and painted pitch black.

It is a symphony of death, a masterpiece of hellish design, raw will."

The lifecycle stages are well documented.

From egg, to facehugger, to chestburster, to adult.

To implant the Xenomorph embryos, the Chimpanzes are restrained, anesthetized, and brough before

the ovomorph specimens.

The speed and strength of the facehugger, and its abilities, have been noted by the

Cold Forge scientists, as is its apparent place and duty within the alien lifecycle.

"The facehugger slips off after a day or so and dies.

We find them withered up on their backs."

Further evidence of the alieen's eating habits have also been confirmed, and the aliens are

meat eaters.

It's observed that when the specimen, born in a contained environment, can't find a way

to escape, it will dig into the corpse of the host, and feed on it for about a day.

The Adult Snatcher specimens on the Cold Forge were fed regularly - small slits in their

cells were opened in order to pour bloody meat into their captivity.

Perhpas the most significant finding in regards to the Snatchers was discovered by Dr. Blue

Marsellus, one of Earth's leading geneticists, hired by Weyland Yutani to find a way to control

the strange beasts, to manipulate their DNA in utero.

She'd been tasked with finding a reliable way to create and control the snatchers, with

an eye toward military deployment.

In her studies, Dr. Marcellus discovered Plagiarus Praepotens: The ultiate builder: able to rewrite

and reconstruct organic matter in seconds.

Dr. Marcellus observes,

"It became apparent at the moment of impregnation.

The fleeting heat of a molecular change within the esophagus of the chimpanzee, not a larva

or worm placed into the subject, but a set of complex chemical instructions that went

beyond the intricacy of anything humanity had ever seen.

my first empty is this Neutrogena Naturals multivitamin nourishing

moisturizer I use this like every day I really really like this I would totally

buy this again this stuff's like $7 it's so so cheap

and it's amazing I would HIGHLY highly recommend this to anybody looking for a

new moisturizer it works so well I would totally totally buy this again

the next empty I have to share with you is this detox dry shampoo by Drybar I

really really like dry bar I think they're a great company but this is $14

for one in half ounces and that's just too much for me I'd really rather just

you know use something less expensive there's some amazing options out there

in the way of dry shampoo like Batiste which everybody loves so that one I

really love Klorane's version and even Amica is really good so for the price

even though this does work well it's just not worth it to me Urban Decay all

nighter overnight spray we all have a thousand of these empties I don't need

to tell you this stuff is good- Is it my favorite? no mac's fix+ is my favorite

but this stuff is really good oh plus hello I love this little

travel-size it's amazing Briogeo oh don't despair repair this

stuff's amazing it smells so good oh my gosh it's it's just a conditioning

treatment for your hair but I love it I I really love this brand a lot of their

products are like just they condition my hair really well they work really well

for me so I would so highly recommend Briogeo products period I've never tried

a Briogeo product that I did not enjoy this is a hair mask it's the kalahari

melon oil mask I got it at Walgreens on like sale I think they're normally $2.99

and I think I got it for 99 cents or something like that it was on clearance

I think but it worked really well I have other hair masks that work just

as well as that but for 99 cents you really can't go wrong so if you see some

of them on sale or something at Walgreens I would pick them up they're

really good Do you have like a favorite hair mask let me know what your favorite

like super conditioning hair mask is I can totally use the recommendations the

next thing I have is a pretty common item at least, certainly for me which is the

they're real mascara by benefit this is my favorite mascara I absolutely love

the they're real mascara I also love Too Faced better than sex but this one's

like and enjoy this like I I want you get the wrong idea it was good but

three dollars for a single use if I purchased a tube of something very

similar to this it might be like fifteen or twenty dollars but I would get like

like five ounces of product and I would get several uses out of it instead of

just the single use so to me that makes it not really worth it I would not

repurchase these but they worked well I don't want you to think that it didn't

work well or that I didn't like it I did like the product but it was just

compared to other similar products I can get the same experience for a lot less

Hi, welcome to our Channel today we are going to talk about why kids should eat eggs.

Especially if there are picky eater and does not really eat meat like my daughter Tanya.

I am not a nutritionist or health professional.

This video is based on my own research and why I choose eggs to be the number one food for my daughter.

Who just does not really eat meat.

Eggs are wholesome food and has incredible amounts of vitamins and nutrients like protein, fat, iron

folic acid, vitamin A D and B12.

So let's go over the benefits of eggs. Each egg contains six grams of protein

Which is really good for generating new cell as well as repairing the old cell.

Eggs contain choline,

Omega-3 vitamin b12 and folic acid. These are essentials to neuro health and brain development.

It helps boosting the brain power for learning and memory.

Eggs, contain vitamin D to promote the bone health. Did you know that is the only food source that contains vitamin D?

Eggs contain vitamin A which is great for eye health.

But the things that I've worried about the most were the fat content and cholesterol in eggs due to the potential of

Overeating I'm no longer worried after I found out that eggs actually have the right balance of saturated and unsaturated fat.

It also has good cholesterol HDL and minimal amount of harmful cholesterol.

So it is safe to have one egg per day.

Oh and Tanya is also a picky eater and like her egg cook in a certain way.
