Chris Bukowski has appeared on so many seasons of the franchise, that in 2015 he announced:
"So I am formally retiring from reality TV.
It's finally time to hang up the roses."
He has since claimed the series derailed his life goals, damaged relationships with his
family, and misconstrued his true identity, telling the Cut,
"You can be on that show and not say a word, and they can do whatever they want to you.
I mean, they took me and made every kind of character out of me, and I signed up for it."
It's not the only time the producers have crafted the story.
Fans may also remember Courtney Robertson, from Season 16, as the wild girl who went
skinny-dipping with Ben.
But she later told the New York Post that the infamous moment wasn't as spontaneous
as it seemed.
"Let's liven it up, let's get this party started."
Robertson says producers made her sneak into Ben's hotel room.
The skinny-dipping was her idea, but the moment was orchestrated behind the scenes.
Totally closed off
Former contestants say isolation is often used to manipulate the "reality" of the show.
Melissa Rycroft, the fiancée who was dumped by bachelor Jason Mesnick in favor of the
runner-up on Season 13, told The Cut that contestants endure complete isolation during
their time in the mansion.
And Leslie Hughes, who appeared on Season 17, backed this claim up, telling the Daily
Beast that she had to give up her cell phone, computer, and magazines.
She said,
"We have nothing.
We are completely cut off from the world.
We have to talk to each other—we have nothing else to do."
Tracking contestants' cycles
LA Times writer Amy Kaufman dropped her tell-all, Bachelor Nation, in 2018.
And per USA Today, one of the book's shocking claims is that producers track the women's
menstrual cycles to maximize the feels.
Former producer Ben Hatta said,
"It helped the producers because now you've got someone who is emotional — and all you
want is emotion."
The book claims producers also place enormous pressure on contestants to get engaged.
"Katherine...Will you marry me?"
"Yes."
2008 Bachelorette winner Jesse Csincsak told Kaufman,
"There is no 'What if I don't propose' option.
It's just 'Here's the ring.
Go give it to her.'"
Life in the mansion
You'd think living on an opulent estate would come with some perks.
But Hughes told the Daily Beast,
"We have to do our own cooking, our own laundry.
[…] We do everything you would do when you're at home, except be able to go outside […]"
The women revealed to Glamour that they are even expected to bring hair supplies, clothes,
and makeup from home.
"We've got my racy, vulgar swimsuit.
It will have all the guys going crazy."
"Well, there's only one."
And then, the women endure "cramped living quarters," and share two "tiny bathroom areas."
But there is one thing the production supplies: All the alcohol contestant's can drink.
Hughes said,
"It's how they get you to be more talkative, more sensitive.
[…] They were like, 'You want some champagne, wine?'
And I was like, 'It's 12 p.m., noon!'
And they're like, 'Welcome to the Bachelor family.'"
The grueling rose ceremony
Once upon a time there was a rose ceremony, that took a few suspenseful minutes to watch…and
up to 13 hours to film.
"Dominique will you accept this rose."
"Gladly."
Hughes dished the deets on the excruciating shoot, telling the Daily Beast,
"[The first night] was very long.
We didn't start until 7 at night and we didn't finish until 8 in the morning!"
Show director Ken Fuchs also told The Hollywood Reporter,
"Forget about doing a TV show, if you were in some situation where you were going to
meet 25 women and at the end of the night select a handful to go home, you want to sort
of get a sense of who's who and what's what, so that takes time."
The UnREAL deal
UnREAL is a Lifetime satirical drama series that follows a young reality TV producer and
her attempts to keep her integrity intact as her boss forces her to make the show as
salacious as possible.
"Welcome to Everlasting."
"Get me some bitch interviews, now."
But if UnREAL seems too "real" for some, that's because series creator Sarah Gertrude Shapiro
worked as a producer on The Bachelor for three years.
"In my early twenties I had a day job in reality TV.
It was this crazy, horrible time in my life."
Shapiro described her job on The Bachelor, telling The New Yorker it was,
"[Getting contestants to] open up, and to give them terrible advice, and to deprive
them of sleep."
Shapiro said she would flat out lie to women she knew were about to be sent packing, revealing,
"The night they were going to get dumped, I would go to the hotel room where they were
staying and say, 'I'm going to lose my job for telling you this, but he's going to pick
you — he's going to propose."
When the loser left in the limo, Shapiro revealed that she joined them with "jalapeños or lemons
hidden in her jacket pocket" to get those tears flowing by any means necessary.
"If she's not feeling it, we make her feel it."

hey guys welcome back to my channel and if you're new to my channel go ahead and

long long time and I want to keep you up-to-date to what I'm up to its 2019
guys happy new year is on the 12 of the 13 of the 14 of my shirt when I'm going
to upload but yeah so it's been a couple of weeks since 2019 and I have a couple
of resolutions I don't like to call them resolutions because I don't think people
keep the resolutions so I'm just going to call it um a new year new me or maybe
I'll call it five things that I'm going to stop doing and start doing how about
that yeah the whole theme of today is bringing sexy back I'm definitely
bringing sexy back because I have been very lazy and with that said my number
one thing that I'm going to stop doing is I'm going to stop wearing my
husband's clothes or pajamas to lunch around the house
I get so lazy that you know I lost it I feel like I lost the sex appeal if you
must say oh you know just looking good for my man all the time I'm always in
his clothes I mean they're wearing his oversized pajama pants or his oversized
sweatpants with his big t-shirt or his you know anything you know just to be
comfortable because I usually either taping in the second I'm
done taping literally the second I'm done taping I'll go upstairs take the
mask off as I call it because this is heavy like I feel it heavy on my face I
take the mask off and I immediately immediately change into his clothes
because it's so comfortable so I'm going to stop doing that and if you don't
believe me here they are
and then I don't even have shame on my games some of these things have holes in
them and I still wear them I love them I really do I'm going to miss them so what
I'm going to do is wear my workout clothes even if I'm not working out like
a normal person can I just go that normal
that's not even normal either but way better than wearing my husband's clothes
and I'm telling you ladies being sexy is like a muscle so if you don't use it you
lose it so I'm going to stop that for sure number two I am going to refrain
from eating desserts until Sunday only Sunday so I can have this circus because
I am not working out as much as I used to
that's another band we're gonna have to jump in I do go but I'm not going like I
used to my husband is so good about going to the
gym I am the other hand I lost it I'm just lazy I put so much emphasis or so
much energy into my projects that I'm neglecting a lot of myself you know
those the things that I used to do before because I just feel like I don't
have the time but I have to make the time even if I have to get up early but
then I'm up late and it's always like a you know a cycle so I have to find
better balance so for now I am going to stop eating desserts except for on
Sunday every time there's a project and there's dessert involved I'm eating it
all the time I'm stopping that for sure I'm going to
say for sure a lot so I'll get used to it didn't I say that all the time
alright number three I haven't read it yet oh yeah I have a long list what
about number three I'm going to stop watching so much reality TV not good for
you save as junk food but it's junk for the mind seriously guys junk for the
mind I'm not gonna lie I enjoy reality TV like any girl you know nowadays but I
think I overdo it i watch them all
mostly like background noise because I'm either taping or you know I'm editing so
they're always playing in the background but subconsciously all of that negative
vibe and all of that negativity gets in there it does so when somebody you know
it's messing with you or cut you in the street what what you want to fight
people up and get ready to jump on somebody because you're so used to love
that you know the fighting you know is horrible so I'm not gonna be an
hypocrite and said I'm going to stop all at once and at the same time I don't
watch all of these at once that's like a lot you know cuz they're not on at the
same time I'm going to give up anything and then wishing pop how about that
because they're just so ratchet those are the ones that I'm feeling in my gut
like you got to let it go girl you told for that but I do have some positive
ones I do you know watch singing competitions that's reality
I am Janice or born this way see those are nice ones you know so I will
continue to watch those the housewives I don't know about that one guys that's
the stuff you for me I really love them and bachelor and the Bachelorette in so
but yeah but the ones are always fighting and throwing blows and just
being extra extra you know thank you in those up wish me luck
number four yes now I'm getting into the things that I'm going to do more okay
I'm going to do more of being myself okay I'm wrong I feel like a lot of
times
always you always know when I'm taping huh oh you're dead I'm good I mean you
clear enough I broke out in hives today guys I'm taking name I'm glad Abe is
clearing up yeah um yeah I still my chest is still a little red I have no
idea what happened but when I'm better how are you I'm breathing I'm hard to
kill a baby I love you did text me how are you doing man I got hives look at
that oh you can't see it so yeah I'm going to be more of myself because I
feel like I always hold back a little because I feel like when you're watching
at least when i watch youtube videos I'm always like get to the point get to the
point you know so I try not to say too much out of what I need to say and get
to the point but I feel like it doesn't you know show at the same time Who I am
especially for the you know the people this being behind me or supporting me
since the beginning I want to be more up close and personal I don't have a lot of
time to do blocks all the time so I'm just going to you know bring it up a
notch on my videos because I think I'm funny a lot of people don't think I'm
funny some of my friends don't think I'm funny
I think I'm funny because I'm not funny oh I have a weird sense of humor but
that's me I just want to be me I'm probably gonna be
more Instagram stories and Facebook stories and now there's YouTube stories
someone to be doing YouTube stories as well that way you guys can get to know
me a little more and you know and I can get to know you more too with you know q
and A's and stuff like that and you know I just think that being yourself is just
the best way to be I mean I'm always myself you know in real life and I want
that to translate on video as well so yeah whatever you mean I make a lot of
faces by the way I like to make faces I do yes I do
all right in number five I want to continue to bring sexy back outside of
the home and what I mean by that is that you know I want to go out on more dates
with my husband we did go on dates but I want to like
sometimes I have a zit I'm not gonna lie I half-ass it I went through a head-on
and just wear whatever I mean I'll dress it up a little bit but I want to like
really step it up a notch you know I want to try her Styles new clothes I

Film Courage: What do you recommend to a writer that is too much of a perfectionist?
And on the flip side maybe one who is too loose and maybe a little sloppy?
Daniel Calvisi, movie studio reader, screenwriter and private screenplay consultant: If you're
too much of a perfectionist you need to understand that you need to get it out of the door at
a certain point or drop that script and move on to another.
A writer writes, they write more than one script.
You can't obsess over the same script for years.
I've done it, everybody has done it.
It's your baby and you want it to be perfect.
It's good that you want to be super detail-oriented and you want it to be of a high quality level
and not have any typos or spelling errors and really blow away the readers.
So it's going to take away some time to write.
It's going to take years to write that great breakthrough script but you have to get it
out the door at some point or drop it and move on.
So if you're planning to get it out the door then you have to cut it off at some point
and say "I'm going to submit this to a contest or a manager or a producer or whoever
and it's tough to get it out the door because you're never sure if it's exactly ready.
But it's probably never going to be perfect.
It's probably never going to be the exact submission ready level that that needs to
be.
It's subjective to the reader so it's hard to say "Okay, this is absolutely where
you should cut it off and you should send it out the door."
It's your choice and it's one of the toughest choices for writers when do you submit?

I am welcome back to Darvanalee Desings Studio this is review weekly and today
we're going to be reviewing the pattern free camping it's an applique pattern
and it comes with instructions so we're going to dive in and have a look what
you get for your money this particular one is $15 and we do stock it over on
our website so as you can see I am in the process of doing it I haven't got
back to actually applique that on but you will probably see this feature in a
future video because I'm going to show you how to raw edge applique so this one
is actually my finish at Friday and I have to have it done by this coming
Friday so I better get on and move on and get this video done and then that
way I can get stuck into it so basically for your money it comes in a little
plastic sleeve which I've removed and then inside you get a whole heap of
instructions and you also get your templates so it basically um it's it's
by Claire Turpin designs and you can visit her website which is Claire Turpin
designs comm and it comes with all the instructions that you are going to need
so it gives you possible two possible layouts here you can see that there's a
pop top cushion layout as well as just for a little mini quilt or you could
have it as a cushion these are both cushions as you can see on the cover
just there and basically it gives you the two layouts so we've just gone with
the surfboard one for this one but I do like the look of this one so I'll
probably do another one and I'm still not sure whether I'm gonna have these as
mini quilts or whether I'm gonna do them as pillows so that's the two layouts
that you've got there and then she's given you some more instructions on what
size to cut your cushions and all that sort of she's got some handy tips in
there as well and it just goes on telling you what
equipment that you're going to need what fabric you should look at and you know
she does say in he that you know the better quality fabric the better offer
that your project is going to end up being and then it will go on about
whether you're going to hand stitch or whether you are going to machine stitch
so um she's got the hand stitching method in here and she just goes on
tells you she gives you some handy tips and all that sort of stuff and also some
tips on laying out your applications and all that stuff so she's having got a
section here on page three pearls of wisdom so she just goes on and telling
you little things that will help you along your way with your applique so as
you can see you also get some sheets of paper that have all your templates out
on them so you can see here that they're just all laid out and the best part
about this pattern the absolute best part about this pattern you can actually
have this pattern done for the brother scan and cut so it's got a note here
your finish pattern will be in Reverse layouts unless you remember to flip flip
them for the template so it's a really good one because I mean no one likes

American Airlines Premium Economy - Selecting the Best Seats - Duration: 3:03.

- [Narrator] Okay, so this is the American Airlines
Premium Economy cabin on a triple seven.
You can see it's two-four-two configuration.
And quite a small cabin, there's just three rows
at the sides and four rows in the center.
I'm standing at the front of the cabin, which is row 16.
You got row 16, 17, 18, and 19 in the center.
And then at the sides you're looking at
16, 17, and 18 there.
Front row is obviously the one you want
if you like the legroom.
This is on a triple seven 300, I should point out.
So that row 16 A and C, they're great seats.
See, if you are in those seats,
your in-flight entertainment's gonna come
out of the arm in front of you,
and it's got some leg rests there.
Reclines as normal, as you'd expect.
Same for that front row there, 16.
Those seats are D, E, G, and H.
Just moving back to the more standard seats,
the ones that are in the center,
you can see that the leg rest is slightly different.
It just comes out, it's more of a foot rest.
Comes down from the seat in front.
And then you've got storage for magazines,
a coat hook, some more storage below.
The back row, row 19, looks a good one
from one point of view, because you can recline,
I guess without disturbing anyone or being disturbed.
But of course, bear in mind
that because of the configuration,
you know you're gonna have
the curtain between you and economy.
And in one sense, you are almost sitting
in economy class, in terms of noise.
And also bear in mind that if there are children,
there may well be bassinet seats here.
Actually, it doesn't look like it is there,
but there are bassinet seats in row 20 there.
That's what those things on the wall are, those markers.
Okay, these are the seats toward the window
on the right hand side.
These are L and J, and you've got rows 18, 17, and 16.
It's quite a spacious cabin.
The seats are obviously dedicated seats for premier economy.

He made 11 stops throughout the match - his most in a top-flight match without conceding a goal
They all came after the break with De Gea denying Harry Kane on several occasions, as well as Dele Alli and Toby Alderweireld
But Solskjaer warned the Manchester United No 1 that he might be busy in the second half
"I said to David at half time, 'You might have to make a save here, you have to keep your concentration!'" Solskjaer told beIN SPORTS
"He didn't have to keep his concentration because he was never allowed to relax. "He's a fantastic goalkeeper, I think he's the best in the world but you're allowed to have good goalkeepers
" De Gea was awarded man of the match for his superb performance at Wembley as he looked back to his best
But he admitted he didn't know which save was the best. Asked after the game to give his favourite of the 11 stops, De Gea told Sky Sports: "No, I do not remember some of them! I'm happy with everything
"We won the game against a top team like Tottenham, we controlled the first half
"But the second [half] they put a lot of pressure, they had chances but we defended well and we've got the three points
"I was feeling very well with the first two saves, but it was a great game. "Especially with the three points at Wembley, with the fans, so we're very very happy
" Asked about the effect of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the side, De Gea said: "He brings some happiness, the team is playing very well now and is strong
"We know how to control the games, how to create chances, and this is the real Manchester United
"
