Hi guys, I'm Kate and this is everything that I read in the year 2017 and what I thought of them.
I started off the year reading the first eight books in
'The Series of Unfortunate Events' and I ended up rating them all differently but the
ratings ranged from a three to a four out of five stars.
I then reread 'Vendetta' and 'Inferno' by Catherine Doyle both of which I ended up
giving a 5 out of 5 stars. I also read 'Big Magic' by Elizabeth Gilbert which I gave a 2 out of 5 stars.
'Losing It' by Cora Carmack which I gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
And 'Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe' by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
and I gave this a 5 out of 5 stars.
The first book I read in February was 'American Girls' by Allison Umminger and
this is probably one of my least favourite books of all time.
So I ended up giving this a 1 out of 5 stars.
I then read 'Contagion' by Terri Terry, which I gave a 4.25 out of 5 stars
before I read books 9 through till 11 in 'The Series of Unfortunate Events'
which again I gave a 3 to a 4 out of 5 stars.
I then read 'Mafiosa' by Catherine Doyle, which is the third and final book in
the 'Blood for Blood' trilogy and I gave this a 5 out of 5 stars.
I also read 'Doing It!' by Hannah Witton which I gave a 5 out of 5 stars.
And 'Radio Silence' by Alice Oseman which I gave a 4.25 out of 5 stars.
In March I finally finished 'The Series of Unfortunate Events' and I think
I would give this series as a whole a 3 to a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
I also read 'Milk and Honey' by Rupi Kaur which I gave a 3 out of 5 stars.
'Ms Marvel: Vol. 2' by G willow Wilson which I gave a 5 out of 5 stars.
I gave '#famous' by Julie Gagnon a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
'Everything I Never Told You' by Celeste Ng which I gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
'Page by Paige' by Laura Lee Gulledge which I gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
I read the illustrated edition of 'Beauty and the Beast' and I have
absolutely no idea how to rate this book whatsoever. So I'm just leaving it blank.
And finally in March I read 'Flawed' and 'Perfect' by Cecelia Ahern and gave both of them a 4 out of 5 stars.
In April the first book I read was 'Lost at Sea' by Brian Lee O'Malley, which I gave a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
I then reread 'A Court of Mist and Fury' by Sarah J Maas which I kept at its original rating.
I then read 'Salt.' by Nayyirah Waheed which I gave a 5 out of 5 stars.
'Dumplin' by Julie Murphy which I gave a 3 out of 5 stars.
'Every Falling Star' by Sungju Lee which I gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
And 'Windfall' by Jennifer E. Smith which I also gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
I started off May by reading 'A Court of Wings and Ruin' by Sarah J Maas, which I
am still very, very confused about my feelings for but I think I'm gonna give it a 3.75 out of 5 stars.
After that I read 'The Upside of Unrequited' by Becky Albertalli, which I am most definitely not confused about
my feelings for and I gave this a 5 out of 5 stars and it was probably my
favourite book of last year. If you would like to know my other favourite books of 2017.

video that I made on those but yes I love this book with my whole heart.
In May I also read and loved 'Always and forever, Lara Jean' by Jenny Han which I gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
I then read 'City of Saints and Thieves' by Natalie C. Anderson and I have this a 3 out of 5 stars.
And then I finally finished 'The Grisha Trilogy' by Leigh Bardugo with 'Ruin and Rising'
and I ended up giving this a 3 out of 5 stars as well.
In June I went on a bit of a contemporary binge,
starting with 'What I Thought Was True' and 'The Boy Most Likely To' by Huntley Fitzpatrick.
This one I gave a 3 out of 5 stars and this one I gave a 4 out of 5 stars,
I then read 'North to You' by Tiff Marcello which I gave a 5 out of 5 stars.
'When Dimple Met Rishi' by Sandhya Menon which I gave the 4.5 out of 5 stars.
'Tash Hearts Tolstoy' by Kathryn Ormsbee which I also gave a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
'Code Name Verity' by Elizabeth Wayne which I gave a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
I then gave 'Vicious' by V.E Schwab a 5 out of 5 stars.
And finally 'One of Us is Lying' by Karen McManus which I gave a 2 out of 5 stars.
After reading 'One of Us is Lying' and really not enjoying it, in July I decided
to treat myself and read the illustrated edition of 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'
for the first time and I gave this a 5 out of 5 stars.
After that I read a 'Girl Out of Water' by Laura Silverman which I gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
'Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda' by Becky Albertalli,
which I absolutely adored and gave a 5 out of 5 stars.
'Wolf by Wolf' by Ryan Graudin which I gave a 3.75 out of 5 stars.
'The Geography of You and Me' by Jennifer E. Smith which I gave a 3 out of 5 stars.
I then reread 'Girl Missing' by Sophie McKenzie for the first time in years
and I ended up giving this a 5 out of 5 stars
because I couldn't give it less. This has just got such a special
place in my heart and I had so much fun rereading it.
I then read 'Sweetfreak' by Sophie Mckenzie and I gave this a 3 out of 5 stars.
'The Girl of Ink and Stars' by Kiran Millwood Hargrave which I gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
And finally in July, I read 'We'll Always Have Summer' by Jenny Han which I gave a 3 out of 5 stars.
The first book I read in August was 'Legend' by Marie Lu which I gave a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
I then read 'A Quiet Kind of Thunder' by Sara Barnard which I gave a 4.7 5 out of 5 stars.
'Invictus' by Ryan Graudin, which I initially gave a 4.5 out of 5 stars
but more I think about it and talk about, the more I realise I should have just given this a 5 out of 5 stars.
So I'm giving this a 5 out of 5 stars because I absolutely love this book.
I then read 'Plain Vanilla' by an Ines Bautista -Yao which I gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
'Love & Gelato' by Jenna Evans Welch which I gave a 3 out of 5 stars.
I finally read 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen. Which I don't know how to rate
because I never know how to rate classics but I ended up really, really
enjoying this and I now understand why so many people have been telling me to
read it for so many years. I mean it's 'Pride and Prejudice' but I'm very happy
that I have finally read it. I also read the manga classics version of
'Pride and Prejudice' which I gave a 3 out of 5 stars and was definitely a very, very different reading experience.
And the last book I read in August was 'You Know Me Well' by David Levithan and Nina LaCour
and I ended up giving this a 4 out of 5 stars.
I started off September with a disappointing book and that was
'The Taste of Blue Light' by Lydia Ruffles and and I ended up giving this a 2 out of 5 stars.
but luckily September definitely pick up after I read
'Eliza and Her Monsters' by Francesca Zappia which I ended up giving a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
I then read 'Secrets For The Mad' by Dodie and I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars.
'Ms Marvel: Vol. 3' by G willow Wilson which I gave a 5 out of 5 stars.
I then gave 'The Epic Crush of Genie Lo' by F.C. Yee a 3 out fo 5 stars.
'You're a Brave Man Charlie Brown' which I gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
'Ten' by Gretchen McNeil which I ended up giving a 3.75 out of 5 stars.
'Daughter of the Burning City' by Amanda Foody which I gave a 3 out of 5 stars.
'Ms Marvel: Vol. 4' by G willow Wilson which I also gave a 5 out of 5 stars
because apparently it is impossible for me to give this series anything less
than a 5 out of 5 stars because I absolutely love it.
I finished September by giving 'How Hard Can Love Be?' by Holly Bourne a 4 out of 5 stars.
I started October by giving a 5 out of 5 stars to 'The Hate You Give' by Angie Thomas.
I then read volumes one, two and three of 'Paper Girls' by Brian K. Vaughn
and I gave the first two a 4 out of 5 stars and the third one a 3.75 out of 5 stars.
I also picked up 'Dark Matter' by Blake Crouch which I think I gave a 4 or a 3.75 out of 5 stars.
I can't quite remember.
I then finally read 'Murder on The Orient Express' by Agatha Christie which I gave a 5 out of 5 stars.
I also read 'Undercover Princess' by Connie Glynn which I gave a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
And finally volumes 1 & 2 of 'Nailbiter' by Joshua Williamson and I gave the
first one a 3.75 out of 5 stars and the second one a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
In November I read '13 Minutes' by Sarah Pinborough which I gave a 2 out of 5 stars.
'Alex & Eliza' by Melissa De La Cruz which I gave a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
'There's Someone Inside Your House' by Stephanie Perkins which I gave a 4.75 out of 5 stars.
'A Perfect Proposal' by Katie Fforde which I gave a 2.5 out of 5 stars.
'Ramona Blue' by Julie Murphy which I gave a 5 out of 5 stars and absolutely loved.
And then I finally read 'Six of Crows' by Leigh Bardugo which I gave a 4.25 out of 5 stars.
I gave a 3 out of 5 stars to 'Dreamology' by Lucy Keating.
And lastly in November I read the first two volumes of 'Lumberjanes' and gave them both a 4 out of 5 stars.
And then finally during the last month of 2017, the first book I read was
'Prodigy' by Marie Lu which I gave a 3.75 out of 5 stars.
I then finally, after so many years of saying that I was going to read it and
so many TBR's, read 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgenstern
which I ended up giving a 4.75 out of 5 stars.
I then read 'Civil War' which I gave a 3 out of 5 stars.
'Quiet Girl in a Noisy World' by Debbie Tung which I gave a 5 out of 5 stars.
In December I also finally read another book that has been on far too
many TBR's and that is 'The Book Thief' by Markus Zusak which I gave a 4.75 out of 5 stars as well.
After that I read 'Archie: Vol.1' by Mark Waid and Fiona Staples which I gave a 4 out of 5 star.
I then completed Marie Lu's 'Legend' trilogy with 'Champion' which I gave a 3 out of 5 stars.
I also picked up 'Almost Midnight' by Rainbow Rowell which I gave a 5 out of 5 stars.
'Little Peach' by Peggy Kern which I gave a 4 out of 5 stars.
And finally the last book I read in 2017
was 'Everyday' by David Levithan which I ended up giving a 4.25 out of 5 stars.
So that is everything that I read during the year of 2017
and I would absolutely love to know if we read any similar books
and whether we rated them the same. Or whether we gave them totally
different ratings or whether you have read any of these same books at a
