Luna Park lights up with energy savings - Duration: 2:23.

(Mark Dibblin) The Luna Park smiling face welcomes

over one million visitors to Sydney every single year.

We're a historic heritage amusement park

but we're also a major function centre.

We're an events space

and we have a whole host of other activities going on.

We began looking at energy efficiency

and specifically lighting efficiency upgrades

because we were faced with hefty and escalating energy costs.

Also, we are concerned with the sustainability.

We were finding more and more that many of our clients and visitors

were interested in knowing what we were doing about sustainability.

So, once we started looking at energy efficiency,

it became apparent to us that all that we use,

energy in other forms such as in our refrigeration and air conditioning

and in driving our rides of course

but in the area of lighting

we could make some fairly immediate and transparent impacts.

We spoke to the Office of Environment and Heritage

and they were extremely helpful.

They were able to advise us but also to help finance

a Level 2 Energy Audit which really helped us

to understand where the energy was being used the most.

From that for instance we were able to establish

how much power we could save

by converting some of our incandescent lighting into LED

by changing some of the strip lights that we have to T5s.

For instance, we changed all our carpark strip lights to T5s

and managed to save 34% in that area.

It will also improve our position with our maintenance

because so much of our maintenance time was taken

with the upkeep of the lighting.

As a snapshot of what we've achieved financially

through these lighting and energy upgrades.

We have spent approximately $750,000

on energy saving lighting upgrades

and as a result of that we believe we're saving around $250,000 per year.

Over a ten year period we believe we'll reduce our energy consumption

by around 2,500 megawatt hours

and avoid about 2,600 tonnes of carbon equivalent emissions.

outraged over the proposal to

build a helicopter landing pad

on the side of Mt George, just

above the vineyards. Owner

Christian Palmaz, an amateur

chopper pilot, is requesting a

permit from the county to allow

him to take off and land from a

spot close to his business and

home. "This project has unique

featuresâ" Palmaz wouldn't

speak with us on camera today,

but he told the Planning

Commission that his project

abides by all regulations and

the limitations he's agreed to

would set a high standard for

anyone else requesting a helipad

in the future. But that's

exactly what some of the

neighbors are worried about.

helicoptersâhundreds more come

in and it will literally destroy

the bucolic nature of the Napa

Valley." County rules DO allow

for private helipads but there

hasn't been one approved in

decades. The commission staff is

the Board of Supervisorsâwho

may be equally interested in

satisfying the voters. And a lot

of THEM don't think much of the

idea.

the time but it's a completely

different animal with a

The first South Korea-China summit of the Moon administration could come on the sidelines

of the G20 Summit set for July in Germany.

Speaking to reporters prior to his departure to Beijing,..

President Moon Jae-in's special envoy to China Lee Hae-chan said a follow-up summit could

come in August to mark Seoul's 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties with Beijing.

Lee added that he will deliver that message when he meets with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The former prime minister of the liberal Roh Moo-hyun administration said he will thoroughly

explain President Moon's stance on the THAAD missile defense system.

They will focus on resolving the bilateral tensions following China's anti-THAAD economic

retaliation against South Korea.

The special envoy to Japan, lawmaker Moon Hee-sang of the ruling Democratic Party, has

met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

He delivered President Moon's personal letter to Abe that expresses his will to meet soon.

The envoy stressed the need to develop South Korea-Japan relations in a forward looking

way as the two countries share two important values -- democracy and working together on

North Korea.

Seoul and Tokyo have plenty to discuss... especially over the landmark agreement struck

Hackers claiming responsibility for last week's massive ransomware cyberattack have threatened

to release information related to North Korea's nuclear and missile programs.

The hacker group calling itself "The Shadow Brokers", made the statement in a blog post,

while also threatening to leak Russian, Chinese and Iranian nuclear data.

The announcement seems to contradict claims made by some cybersecurity experts, who have

suspected North Korean sleeper cells of masterminding the cyberattack.

Since last Friday, the "WannaCry" ransomware has infected more than three-hundred-thousand

computers in 150 countries worldwide.

WHAT THE REAL NUMBERS WERE AND THEY PUT OUT LOWER NUMBERS

BECAUSE THEY DID NOT WANT THE IRAQ WAR TO APPEAR TO BE A

DISASTER WHICH IT WAS.

THAT'S INFORMATION THAT AMERICAN PEOPLE

CAN USE IN A DEMOCRACY TO MAKE CORRECT DECISIONS ON WHETHER WE

SHOULD STAY IN IRAQ OR NOT BUT THE PEN AGAIN GONE WANTED TO

NEBULA YOU.

THEY WANTED NEW PROPAGANDA SO THEY WANTED TO

OF HIS SECOND TERM.

FIND A DECENT PAYING JOB THAT WHO KNOWS MAYBE BECAUSE OF SUCH

It's been empty since we moved in.

I have been opening boxes, and this one is full of canvas.

So I don't really know how I'm going to fit that in yet.

We have an entire brown paper bag.

Full of this Play-Doe stuff.

So we're gonna fit in here.

And the kids were like you're so amazing like I've never seen the stuff in their lives.

OK I saw them on Pinterest with Play-Doe in them, like full-size Play-Doe things.

These are just tiny ones.

But, that's why I got it.

I went to Michael's and they were 60% off.

And I had a coupon for 15% off.

That worked on sale.

So I got them like 70% off, I know 60+15 does not equal 70.

But but if you do 60 and then you do 15 it kind of does.

They were five bucks each, so I absolutely love them.

So today we had a super super laid-back Sunday guys.

It was much needed.

We picked up Gavin, hung out at my moms house for about an hour.

I am making, as they go lay down.

I'm making some delicious dinner right now.

Yummy.

If y'all started doing this BFC whole 30 guys, one thing I recommend is getting a crockpot.

It makes the whole thing super easy.

You wake up in the morning throw in some ingredient inside of it.

Let it cook all day.

My mom was giving me her Comcast login so I can continue watching "Young and Hungry".

Because it's not a Netflix anymore.

If you don't know what 'Young and Hungry" is.

It is a show on Netflix which is kind of like the adult version of iCarly.

I love iCarly, that was one my favorite Nickelodeon shows.

Every time I walk into the room I find myself watching like three episodes with Kate.

Pretty addicting.

Look at all these we got to figure out how to put them in.

It's all right we are really not forcing her to talk because as soon as we forced him not

forced him, but taught him.
