In one of our previous episodes
we learned and explored a lot about the Special Forces of Norway and
Before even that we learned a lot about how much power Norway has not just as a country, but from a military perspective
however with that in mind today
We are gonna dive much deeper into understanding the different divisions of the military
And in this one we are gonna look at the Marines of Norway and figure out who these guys are
What they're all about and maybe get an understanding of some of their history. How's it going guys?
Dave Walpole here and welcome to FTD facts the channel where I look at people cultures and
Places from all around the world and in this video we're looking at militaries now
This is actually a continuation of our military segments of Norway
So if this is kind of something that you're really interested in you want to stay here?
but for this video I'm kind of doing it as a
correction to our Special Forces because I was saying things like the
Mjk or the Marines. Yeah, Gurkha mendelian
They were part of the Marines, but I was actually wrong about that
But for this video I'm looking specifically at the actual Marines of Norway
And that is the coastal Rangers or the coast? Yeah gonna come on Doolin. I hope I got that right
So who are these guys?
Well, yeah, they're the Marines that the guys that you just don't want to mess with they know how to shoot
they know how to kick, but they're not like the
stormtroopers on this shirt who can't shoot worth a crap these guys they know what they're doing now to
Understand a little bit about the Marines in Norway today
They have an estimated size. Although rather small coming in at approximately eighty six Marines
however
I also read in different reports that there's
Approximately maybe about a hundred of them that includes operators and even staff when I saw 86
I was like mmm that looks a little small for the Marines of Norway. I betcha
It's much higher so it might be anywhere in between that it might be more
It might be less and I know they might seem very small in size
But let's be perfectly honest here when it comes to the coastal Rangers
They've only been around for a very short amount of time. This unit has only been around since about
2001 and it was originally designed to have the strain to 500 to 1,000 soldiers
So why so recent you're telling me that Norway didn't have Marines prior?
Well, they kind of did but they come from different units
So for their history the kjk units evolved out of what is known as the coastal artillery
Which although over time throughout the 20th century the unit became more of a mobile?
Operation than what you might think it was and actually during the Second World War
These guys became extraordinarily famous so famous that there is a little bit of legend around the coastal artillery
Because it was in the early days of the war that the coastal army fought off the Germans when they were actually invading the country
The story basically goes as this that the oslofjord
fort opened fire on the Germans when they were moving into their
territory and because of that they ended up sinking the German ship known as the blood sure and of course damaged another and keep in
Mind when the Norwegian forces saw the Germans coming in at this time. They didn't really know quite what to do
But however, the order to open fire was given by Colonel Berger Ericsson who apparently was well known for saying either
I'll be a hero or a criminal when making the decision to fire upon the Germans and the reason why this
decision became well-known in the army was because when the Germans invaded on April 9th 1940
They actually bought enough time for others to escape as well as the royal family as well
I should mention that during the cold war
This artillery unit did become more mobile by training with Swedish forces in order to prevent Russians from amphibious attacks
and you might be wondering how did the Marines get formed out of the coastal position units like
Seems very odd will this evolved because they came to realize that during the Cold War weapons began to get more and more
precise at hitting their targets and
therefore sticking with the old times of having forts and artillery
Positions was a bit outdated and this conversation went back and forth between officials until they pretty much decided in 2001
That these coastal positions needed to be abandoned and it was at that time the country had decided to go with a more mobile unit
thus creating the Norwegian Marines and there was only a few years after on August 17th of
2005 that the group had become fully transitioned into what is known as an operational unit
So another thing that I find really interesting when it comes to the coastal Rangers in Norway, they classify as an ice star unit
What is an ice tower unit? Well, this is an abbreviation for any group that has intelligence surveillance target acquisition and reconnaissance
but unlike other military units that are ISTAR these guys focused primarily on the
Amphibious area of combat, and this is where it can get confusing for people like myself
Basically, if you think of something like the Navy SEALs you could say are they and fibia or not?
They do go from ground to land, but they usually work further out in the waters as well
We're Marines focus specifically on littoral or coastal areas
Oh, and by the way, before we continue with this video
I'm just gonna put a little bit of a pause and a break on it for about 10 seconds and just let you know
Because you guys are probably out there. Most of you are probably from Norway
That's usually what happens in our videos and a lot of you guys want more military
Content because that's what you guys are looking for. I know you clicked on the video
so with that being said
I made a playlist all about different military aspects and different military programs and units within
Norway, so check out this playlist right here or you guys can wait if you want to continue learning more about the Marines you can
Wait till the end of this video or go down there in the description box below, but let's get back to it. Shall we?
Okay, cool. I think that was more than 10 seconds
so now let's just take a little bit of a step back and let's look at some of the equipment that the
Kjk uses by the way if I haven't mentioned it before
KJK is the short form for the coast. Yeah, Gurkha mendelian
So besides the use of helicopters one
very popular thing that you will see the Norwegian Marines in is
The combat boat 90 also known as the CB 90 now
This is a Swedish made attack craft that can go up to 40 knots and can carry
Approximately 21 amphibious troops and all of their equipment for this craft and the Norwegian Marines
They are usually launched from the HML s Rotterdam, which is classified as an amphibious warship
Now one question that you might want to know is where does this unit? Garrison?
well
that's actually really really hard to say right now as the time of recording this video because
It's kind of up in the air because originally and throughout history there garrison has been located
intron de Nez which is in Harts tad in northern, Norway, however in
2017 there has been
Plans and a major push to close down this base and move the Marines to a different area in the Navy now this does not
Mean that the Marines are gonna go bye-bye that they're gonna be like, nope. See later guys. We don't like you anymore
You're just not useful. That's totally not true at all. According to the Army website
They stated that the proposed plan was not only to close down the old garrison
But to move the entire Marines to the haxon burg base in Bergen
Which has created so much controversy because a lot of people are saying no you got to keep them up north
because that's where they are needed because you got to be worried about the Russians coming into the territory and that's
Why they're there also besides being trained in multiple other different landscapes
this is their realm the north is their location so I can see why a lot of people are like
Mmm, you shouldn't put him down south keep him up in the north now also on a side note when it comes to the Tyrande
Neighs fort in heart stat being chosen as the location for the coastal artillery unit
One of the major reasons why this was chosen is because it is home to the Adolf gun
Which is located in that fort which was a huge giant battery that was created by Nazi, Germany
And as a matter of fact the last time this battery was fired. It was in 1957 and it was officially decommissioned in 1964
so let's move along and let's look at some of the training because not gonna lie the
selection process to become one of these guys is really
Really tough and you thought asking that girl out when you're 14 years old was a hard thing to do
that's
nothing
compared to what these guys got to go through now according to the stats for one to be in this group one has to have
A high physical ability and be able to work in teams and have a great mental aspect basically from my knowledge
There is a five-week selection course
That one has to go through in which after that there is a 10 month vocational
educational period by the way guys remember how I said
I'm totally okay with being wrong on facts if anybody wants to correct me down there in the description box below
Feel free to do so if you were an actual Ranger, that would be great. I'll
Guys read down there we get some good comments
And of course within all of this there also
Includes basic training which moves on to a patrol course and then there is that 10 month vocational
Education, and of course this program is only entitled for Norwegian citizens. So me as a Canadian. See you later guys. I'm done
Okay, I'm back let's continue, of course
another requirement is that you pass part 1 & 2 of the theory test and
can comply with the physical tests as well as have a color view of 9 a hearing of 6 and
Also, you have to have normal eyesight and cannot use contacts or glasses
Yeah, that's I'm out there cuz believe it or not. There's contacts in here
Is that weird? Yeah as well for the physical you must be able to do 7 hang ups 30 push ups
35 sit ups in 2 minutes 20 dead lips as well as swim
400 meters in 12 minutes March 7 kilometers with a 22 kilograms sack and equipment which you got to do that in
49 minutes, so you gotta be good with your cardio
Yeah, as well one needs to be able to run 3000 meters in 12 minutes in whatever clothing you want
Just don't go nude. I don't recommend that because it's cold in Norway
however in today's world
I should mention that the Marines have become known as a very adaptive force as they were even present in
Afghanistan part of Operation Enduring Freedom as well in Afghanistan
they also took part in operation hair Kate Yolo or
Simply known as front straightening speaking about operation front straightening. This one is really really
Important because it was during this operation that the kjk linked up with the 2nd battalion unit in
mazar-e-sharif Afghanistan and these two took part in the largest battle that Norwegian Armed Forces
Have ever been involved in since the Second World War now on top of that. I should also mention
This is a very important battle now. I'm not sure if this was either a marine or a sniper from the 2nd battalion
because during this battle a norwegian sniper managed to hit a soldier at
1380 meters with a burette
m82a1
Which by the way the fourteenth?
Longest shot in the entire world and is the longest shot ever recorded from a Norwegian
Individual it's insane as well. Unfortunately for the Marines when it comes to Afghanistan
It's been said that they lost a total of three soldiers during the entire operation as well
The coastal Rangers were also in Syria for operation re C YS are in which they worked with Danish forces?
To complete the task of destroying chemical substances, and that happened in 2014
also
let's just mention the fact that the Norwegian Marines are always training with different task forces and
groups in NATO joint operations from all around the world
one of the biggest of these that has held yearly is Operation cold response in which this
Operation takes place every year at the Varon as garrison in Norway as well within the country. They also take part of Trident juncture
Exercises. I also forgot to mention one last little interesting fact when it comes to the Marines of Norway and that is the
Entire unit has received a military decoration from the United States. And that was the commendation medal for their work in Afghanistan
So either way that's it guys. That's me looking at the Marines of Norway
I hope this video does justice to my screw up from the last video which actually reminds me if there's any additional facts
Maybe some people who are watching
this video are
Actually people who served in the Marines and you want to let us know a little bit more information. Boom
Put it down there because I'm totally cool with you guys. Just giving us some extra info or even correcting some things
That's how we do it here on MTV facts and believe it or not. It actually happens quite frequently
Because we get military guys that are go. Oh wait. Yo, it's actually there's this and this and this so it's cool
They expand on our information
Which also as I said earlier if you guys are big military
Buffs at the end of this video and down in the description box below. I know you guys are coming here
You're wanting more Norwegian military facts videos
So I've got a whole playlist that I'm working on right now just for you guys
So check it out there in the description box below or just wait till the end
We'll have that in a little card thingy. And of course hit that subscribe button if it's your first time here better than that
I'm Dave waffle and I'll see you guys later. Okay, cool. Have a good one
So you made it to the end awesome groovy. Fantastic?
So by the way here is that military playlist that I was telling you all about like a million times
But also if you just want to learn about Norway and some great things of the country
Check this playlist out right here because it's all about the country. Other than that. We'll see you guys the next one
I hope you guys have a good one. Alright, bye

WHAT HAS CHANGED FOR THE
PRESIDENT?
>> WELL, I THINK WHAT HAS
CHANGED, THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE
CRIMES THE PRESIDENT IS

CLEARER EVERY DAY.
IT'S NOT SIMPLY HE MADE ILLEGAL

THE CAMPAIGN VIOLATIONS HERE ARE

GIVEN THE RAZOR THIN WIN BY

>> FIRST, THERE IS A GROWING

THE BRAIN IS FULLY EXPOSED.
DR. WEIL BEGINS DRAINING THE
BRAIN.
THIS IS THE RISKY PART OF THE
OPERATION.
SURGEONS DRAIN THE VENTRICLES
WHERE FLUID HAS BUILT UP.
PROGRESS IS SLOW.
ONLY A FEW DOZEN MILLIMETRES OF
WATER DRAIN PER MINUTE.
GOING ANY FASTER WOULD BE

CHILD.

LITRES OF FLUID WAS DRAINED, BUT
WHY?

THE NEWS IS ENCOURAGING.
THE CHILD'S BRAIN HAS DOUBLED IN
VOLUME.
WITHOUT A DOUBT, THERE IS REASON

THAT WAS IT.
IT WAS SO SIMPLE.
ALL WE DID MOSTLY WAS TALK.
THEN I DID MAKEUP FOR THEM.
AND WE TALKED FOR AN HOUR.
THE THING IS, PEOPLE NEEDED TO
BE ENCOURAGED.
AND SO I ENCOURAGED THEM.
>> THAT'S A NICE PERFUME.

THESE LOOK NICE.
OH, PATTY, THEY LOOK FANTASTIC.

WHY DO THEY CALL THEM TEACHER
SHOES?

BECAUSE THAT'S THE TEACHERS
WHERE I WENT IN GRADE SCHOOL,
THIS IS WHAT THEY WOULD WEAR.
DIDN'T YOUR TEACHERS WEAR THEM?
>> REALLY?
NO, I DIDN'T HAVE LIKE KINKY
TEACHERS.
I HAVE SEEN OTHER WOMEN WEARING
THEM.
THEY LOOK GREAT, YOU KNOW?
>> [LAUGHTER] COME ON, GIRLS.
>> LEAN AGAINST WHAT?
THE WALL?
YEAH.
NOW YOU COME BACK AND FORTH AND
THEN GO INTO THE LIGHT AND TURN

HOW IS THAT?

NOW JUST RELAX.
NO BIG DEAL.
YEAH.
FABULOUS.
FABULOUS.
OKAY.
NICE.
VERY NICE.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
>> BEAUTIFUL.
FANTASTIC.
>> [LAUGHTER]
>> LET'S GET THE DRESS, LET'S
GET THE DRESS.
>> OKAY.
>> ARE YOU READY TO GO UP ON THE
TABLE?
>> HERE WE GO.
>> OKAY.
ALL RIGHT.
NOW, HOLD ONTO THAT LITTLE
THING.
I'M GOING TO GET YOUR DRESS.
ALL RIGHT?
>> BETTER TAKE THESE OFF.
>> LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE ON THE
DIVING BOARD.
>> ARMS IN HERE.
GOOD.
>> NO, DON'T TURN AROUND.
>> OKAY.
>> YOU LEAVE IT UP TO ME.
>> OKAY [LAUGHTER].
>> I HAVEN'T GAINED ANY WEIGHT.
GOOD.
>> AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL!
PERFECT.
>> I'M NOT THAT MACHO, BUT
NEITHER AM I FEMININE.
THIS IS JUST A SIDE OF ME I

COULD I DO IT IF I REALLY TRIED?
THIS IS MY REALLY TRY.
>> WHAT IS THE IDEA OF THE MASK?

ANYONE YOU WANT TO BE.
INSTEAD OF SOMEONE RECOGNIZING
THE SHAPE OF YOUR FACE.
THIS WAY I CAN BE WHOEVER I WANT
TO BE.
AND I DON'T HAVE TO SAY A WORD.
>> I JUST BECAME EVE.
ALMOST.
>> PEOPLE MIGHT FIND ANOTHER

THEM.
AND AT THE END OF THE
CONVERSATION, AT THE END OF THE
TRANSFORMATION, I GO, DON'T
WORRY NOW, YOU COME BACK AND
EVERYTHING.
AND I WON'T TELL ANYBODY.
AND THEY LOOK AT ME AND THEY GO,

7. On Our Trip... ⁄ December Daily - Duration: 12:13.
four hours on the road,
stopping for food,
done car makeup,
it's not the best, I also realized I left a couple of things at home,
right now we are only an hour or so away from Philadelphia,
so we left SO early this morning,
and we're going to Philadelphia because
I have an interview there! It is a position at anthropology for print design (internship!),
I've been preparing for this for the last couple of months,
and I didn't show the clips, but we can go back in time right now.
I'm getting ready, I checked my email,
and I got..
I got
a video interview for anthro..
-baby! omg!
that's incredible!
congratulations!
*ugh!* I just-
I wanted to just..
pause, and practice before each question began,
but
I... don't have time,
I need to go to class right now,
wanna go out of town?
-yeah
wanna go to Philadelphia?
-okay ..
*laughs*
is there a particular reason you wanna go to Philadelphia?
I got interview!
*gasp*
whatt!!!
really??
oh my gosh!
hahaha I'm so proud of you!
and that brings us to today!
we are going to the URBN campus for the first time,
I'm excited to make the tour, I wanna see the city more
I think that it's gonna be a lot of fun, but,
It's great that you have this opportunity, I think you'll do a really great job
-yeah I'm excited!
it's been something I've been anticipating, and I'm not gonna overthink it, or make myself nervous,
-oh my gosh -hi !!! Look who I bumped into!
a lovely viewer! -hello, what's up!!
-nice to meet you -thank you for giving me confidence,
-oh you got this, you totally got this
-hi, nice to meet you as well
it went well I think!
we were there for..
2 hours, there was a lot of waiting, but,
I had 2 interviews,
and now the sun is about to set,
we also had a lot of fun just walking around, and taking photos, we were really goofy...
-it was a very nice tour of the facility too, cool we got to see that
-yeah
couldn't film much, they don't allow you to take any product, or fabric
photos, because it's their confidentiality as a brand,
either way, it was a really cool experience, even if I don't get the job
at least I got to see the campus, and got to take some cool photos
-I guess we should swing by the hotel really quick first,
-free people is inside there,
-oh my
so it's quite rare that we stay in hotels, because I love being at bnbs,
it has a really homey experience,
I had to book on short notice, you know, knowing the interview and everything, so
all of the good ones were gone,
and everything that was left over is more expensive than one night at a hotel.
so today we're at club quarters,
and
it's such a good location anyways, we're gonna walk out to the christmas village,
and do some food tasting, and that will be my dinner probably,
so I can just try a bunch of different things,
they had complimentary snacks, I got seltzer,
down at
the lobby,
he got..
-cabernet sauvignon
-very good wine. -caberent sauvignon
-ah, the french
*laughs*
I'm gonna change, just because with my dress,
I have my leggings on,
and it's
chillier than having denim.
and by the way, it's been so long since I had these boots on!
I feel so tall, just like gliding,
I'm only, maybe 4 inches taller, but it's been a while
since I've been at this elevation.
this is perfect for christmas festivities!
*toilet flushes*
very typical, to hear a toilet flushing- it's like
soundtrack of my life, dating Tyler
-THAT was mean.
-haha -that was SO mean.
-maybe I should wear the green one, cus it's christmas
-I have my quip toothbrush, and I really like doing this
the cap that comes with it, when I travel,
yeah! that's how I store it when I travel.
cus it just adheres to the surfaces.
hehe...
there's your toothbrush, down there like a chump
-hey.
-I'm just hiding him, to hide the shame
that looks pretty.... *ha*
horrendous...but whatever, I'm not a picky person.
very nice and well lit bathroom..
-can you shave the extra long hairs on my neck?
*sigh(
-is this the right direction? -yeah.
-could've told me to do that when i was giving you a haircut
-it looks fine. -thank you
-I look great.
-yeah you do.
-what was that delay??
-almost as good as me.
-the first time I'm going out with a tripod..
I'm a true youtuber now..
because a lot of people go out like this
yeah?
yeah, they hold it like this
it makes it a lot easier, actually, I think.
cus you have something to grab besides the camera body.
-you're so greedy!
this is the coolest...
remote.
-it's got a remote on one side, and a keyboard on the other.
I got a couple of things from the christmas market,
and they're both ornaments,
the first being a..
cute flying pig.
we're trying to collect ornaments whenever we go to a new place,
or on vacation, so that would be the souvenir. and in the future, the entire tree will be covered with souvenir ornaments
that each have its own memory attached to it.
and the second one, is a glass alligator,
when I saw it, I thought of Tyler's mom, because
they're moving to Florida by the end of the week.
I enjoy the textures on this, and it's a very unique animalin the first place,
so yeah, I just thought this would be a cute gift for mama walker,
*meow*
aside from that, I am going to remove my makeup,
shower, get cleaned up, and start editing,
gonna watch vampire diaries -while we snack.
-I love wasabi peas
*crunch* -you are such.
*laughs*
I am wearing the robe I made, *laughs*
it is not meant..
to be worn, really, because I got this cheap fabric,
from the reminant section in the fabric store,
so it's not as comfortable as my other satin one, and really it's made for like,
gowns, I think, like the drape of it, is a lot stiffer, but
I thought it would be fun, cus I had it on me anyways,
and I didn't really intend to be able to wear
it everyday, but
yea !
*babbling some sort of lion king*
*still babbling*
we have check out at noon, so I'm gonna take the next couple of hours
to edit as much as I can, afterwards, we're gonna
window shop around the area,
because we're on chestnut street?
and,
I also wanna visit the Anthropologie, here,
because I think it's the first Anthropologie store that opened,
and it might be on Walnut,
I'm just taking a guess..
wh-
so many nut names..

Road to TOKYO DOME (December 14) - Post-match Interview [2nd match] - Duration: 1:27.
I won't give up. I won't give up. No way!
If it's a tag or singles match, doesn't matter. Mentor or student, it doesn't matter.
More and more, I'll keep moving forward and get my chance on the big stage.
I'll fight harder.
Damn it!
It lasted more than 10 minutes, huh? Umino has something.
He's a smart ass, isn't he?
That's how New Japan should be.
Whoever it is, Young Lions, heavyweights or juniors, I'll hit them all the same way.
Every match is a test by New Japan and the fans.
I can't let my guard down, even for a second.
Today's done. Tomorrow, is Suzuki-gun, huh?
I will pay them back for what they did to me last time.

Podczas ich burzliwej relacji doszło m.in. do wypadku, w którym kobieta poniosła poważne obrażenia

– pyta Izabela Olchowicz.

Creed II (Movie Review: Michael B Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson - Duration: 14:43.
hey guys it's Cory from CoryBakerFilmmaker.com and I just saw Creed 2
written by a Gio hidari Coker Ryan Coogler Sasha Penn Sylvester Stallone
and Jul Taylor directed by Stephen cable jr. so first things first I saw this
movie at the Glendale 18 at the Americana I've seen a couple flicks
there before it's one of the leaders a Moliere bored list other than regal LA
live obviously but I don't really want to talk too much about the actual
theatre experience as much as I want to talk about just how done I am with movie
passes this play in the new year I imagine I'm going to look into another
option for how I kind of see the movies either through the AMC a list or through
cinema or something like that because movie passes just not worth it you I
want to go see a movie on a Tuesday which is usually a low-volume night for
movies where a movie past should be the most popular like when they should be
wanting to like get people out into the theaters and it's just there was nothing
nothing for creed to nothing for anything it's just a fruitless exercise
I've already been charged for this month so I'm gonna take it home with me and
maybe see some movies at home on some theaters back in Baltimore of which I
will gladly tell you all about but in the meantime I'm taking this opportunity
to not necessarily talk about the Glendale 18 but say that movie passes
100 percent done there's no point there's no point in signing up for it I
don't give a shit what their new thing is what their new plan it's just not
worth it on to the flick it this movie is not only a direct sequel to Creed but
sort of a spiritual successor to Rocky 3 when we had the initial fight between
Rocky and Drago and when Apollo Creed had died in the ring and so much of this
movie is just sort of the interconnection between all these things
but what I will say that is that it's beneficial to this is that I think that
I having seen pretty much every Brockie movie I I can say that there's things in
here that are good for both the people who have never seen a rocky movie and
the people who have seen all of them there are a ton of little like Easter
eggs and little moments that connect to the people who are well versed in the
universe and then there's also a lot of things that I mean the the rocky story
the formula of how they make Rocky movies and now Creed movies is pretty
simple so I mean it's it's the type of thing that anyone can just sort of pick
up and get into you don't have to be a scholar on rocky to get it and they do
enough exposition throughout the movie so that even if you haven't seen Rocky
III even if you didn't know who Drago was you know if you didn't know who
Apollo Creed was then you're getting caught up on it pretty quick and you get
the idea but I mean like the the best-case version of this movie is that
you're well versed in Rocky and that you know who all these people are and know
why it's important oh no I thought this flick was really
good I I was I was I mean there's there I know I know
the problem is that with any Rocky movie the second you step into the theater you
have a pretty good idea of what's going to happen
almost immediately without anyone having to tell you it's it's very formulaic
it's very very easy it just sets itself up for these dramatic points where you
know you get a Adonis Creed going up against rocky and they have their break
up and they get back together and blob up but I mean it's it's they there was
only one thing in the movie that I didn't see coming but it's not because I
couldn't have predicted that I would come I just imagine that the hook would
be something different but that being said I thought the acting
was very good even even for sly who can be kind of hit or miss but usually in
Rocky movies he he brings him pretty well
Tessa Thompson did a wonderful job Michael B Jordan is one of our
preeminent movie stars at this point and it's not just because he is you know a
winning personality and a good-looking guy and stuff like that but he's really
one of her one of the most fine actors that we have in the world right now and
he he does a tremendous job in Creed because not only does he is the acting
there but he's able to get into the physicality of being a boxer so well and
it's so believable and he also is able I mean the the benefit of a movie like
Creed I was sort of I was saying this to rob after we had left the movie the with
most sports it's better to be there it's better to be at the at the game or
watching it on TV because the way that they set it up to watch it is the the
best version of the the experience obviously if you're at a state like
watching football at the stadium like you get the crowd and you get the the
experience of it watching it on TV you get the perfect angle like the the
midline angle with just enough height and tilt so that you can see what all
the players are doing boxing is not a sport that's very good to watch live
even if you're sitting close to the ring there's still a lot of things that you
miss and the best cake the best version of watching boxing is watching like a
highlight reel after the fact where all the best angles and all the best shots
are put together so that you can see what you missed
because if you're sitting you know if everyone's back is to you in the ring
and you're 40 or 40 rows back you're not going to be able to see that punch
actually landed right on the chin you thought maybe Adam in the chest or
someone yeah it's Creed is a wonderful opportunity for boxing to look great and
boxing really doesn't have the opportunity to look great that much
anymore so it's a lot of fun to experience boxing in the fun way like
this again this this movie is really difficult to put between like a fast and
the furious type rule because it's it it treats itself like a very serious work
while also being aware of itself while also like not not selling out for the
purposes of you know some big action scene because we need it it's just it's
very straightforward and place itself forward I don't imagine that if I were
to do like a Fast and the Furious rating on it it would really change that much
from its overall rating but it's just something worth noting it Creed to to me
is sort of like on that line between whether or not something is eligible for
the Fast and Furious rule so therefore I will say no couple just really quick
qualms with it I really enjoyed the drago's both Ivan and Viktor but
something that had happened before in Rocky 3 where Drago first came up is
just that he's sort of the silent destroyer so he just comes in he's just
been destroying people and then it comes to to meet Rocky and you see the size
advantage that that Drago has but there's not a moment where Trog who
really has where he was just like where has the the soliloquy 2 camera or
something like that or anything really breaking down the character of who Drago
is other than there's this really big guy who punches really hard and the same
sort of thing happens with Viktor Drago like they don't at no point do we really
get the the moment where you know Viktor is talking about like you know whether
or not he actually wants to follow in his father's footsteps and be the the
boxer that Ivan couldn't be but I mean it I don't know if they just said that
Florian Montano couldn't handle that and maybe that was just a choice like maybe
there were there were tons of scenes with them on the cutting room floor that
just didn't feel like they fit right and that would make sense with the level of
talent that we have going on throughout the rest of the picture somebody who
isn't a incredible actor would look outpace I think a lot in that regard but
the other side is just like there's there's just a little bit too much of it
so I mean like you know like we all love and when Drago looks down on rocky and
it's like I will break you and the rock III but like in this flick like it's
just like the I break him keeps getting brought up over and over and over again
and like the first hour like yeah yeah break him Drago but then the fourth or
fifth time you hear you're just like all right I'm done with this I need a more
of this life it was good the first time it was good the first time I came up in
this picture but then as it continued going along like it just felt more like
Hulk Hogan hulking up like it's just the moment that you had the break and I mean
that's more of a rocky slash Creed side of the equation where he's getting beat
so bad and then all of a sudden he just realizes that he's invincible and then
the rest of the fight is over one other thing I think Steven Capel jr. did a
tremendous job I thought he you know the the movie was
well lit the cinematography was great the sound was great all the pieces fit
in just just the way you would hope them to I do feel that at some point along
the way there was a line or he was he was being told that you're going to have
to do this a little bit more like ryan coogler would have done like we're
looking for someone to we can't get Kugler but we're gonna get somebody who
does all the things that Kugler does and
I I can't say for sure if that's the fact but there were a lot of cooler isms
in this one and I would have liked to see them take the reins off him a little
bit because he clearly has the the goods to get the best out of talented people
and I would have liked to see the not the training wheels but you know stick
to what brought you to the dance sort of feeling like let him let him explore it
a little bit let him let him do his own thing
are you ready for the leader board its leader for time once again saw this
flick at the Glendale 18 a wonderful theater a great place to go see
something moving on to the movie leaderboard I mean it's not that I think
that creed or creed 2 is better or worse than the other one there they're both
sort of similar in the same sort of way but I mean I think that Creed 2 feels
more like creed 1 that the difference mostly is that Creed the first Creed
felt so much like a revelation and like we're going to take this this format and
we're gonna do it in a new way we're gonna introduce you to a new guy we're
gonna we're gonna build this universe so there was a lot that went into it that
wouldn't necessarily all ready got that part but I think that was part of the
joy in the first Creed a little bit that gets missed a little bit in Creed too
like it just feels like it's just being another Rocky movie which is fine I'm
never gonna turn down a rocky movie but it just felt a little it was it was a
step below so if I have to give Creed to a rating
I will give it a seven point eight a really enjoyable time in the theater
this is not Shakespeare never was claiming to be Shakespeare but a
beautiful film that for the most part is very well acted and very well directed
but that's it for me if you want more you can go to my website Cory Baker
filmmaker comm facebook-dot-com forward-slash Cory Baker film or at
legends cd5 on twitter instagram and snapchat really want to see a couple
more movies to finish off this year strong I think next week on the review I
will be doing Romo o either go out to the theater or catch it here at the
house but really looking forward to that one really forward looking forward to
telling you all about it if there's any other movies you want me to catch before
the end of the year just send me a message on social media somehow just let
me know what you think I'd love to go check out some more flicks especially
back home I think that you guys are really going to enjoy some of the
theaters back in Baltimore that I go to if you haven't seen any of them before
so senator and Parkway are definitely on the list
maybe the center mark in Towson but we'll see what's up
anywho that's it for me thank you so much for watching I really appreciate it
and uh is that the Bell I hear no Bell

I am gonna run by the post office, I brought the giveaway parcels with me,
so I can mail out that today
whatever we decide to do, in the afternoon,
we're gonna head to New York,
so
it's gonna be like
couple of hours to there,
and William is there,
waiting for us,
we're gonna hang out with him,
and then head back the next day.
and that,
is going to be in the next vlog.
we will all see you in a couple of days,
thank you so much for being here,
sending you my love.
I will see you soon!

What HAPPENS in a WEEK onboard A B Sea - Sailing A B Sea (Ep.047) - Duration: 17:42.
Today is the day that we head back into town to see Aydin and see what he's come
up with manufacturing new wheels for our passarelle in his magic workshop.
Good morning. Very good, you? So the passarelle is good? Yes
Ah he doesn't listen to you!
Only rollers. Yes only change the rollers, yes. Tomorrow afternoon.
Look at these shiny new wheels look. He's a clever man.
How much?
Okay. Goodbye, see you tomorrow.
All right let's get our toys home and get dinner on the go.
The alarm went off
bright and early at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning because that was the
day that Baz and I were catching the bus to Fethiye so that we could pick up my
phone which was in the hospital there being fixed and also get some bacon.
So it's 22 lira per person to go to Fethiye and it should take something like two to
two-and-a-half hours. So that's er
five bucks each. It's not bad. It's very good.
still dark outside It'll be light by the time we get there hopefully
Nice bus though isn't it? Very nice
Good morning. How are you? Good thanks.
Nice to see you
Well we're here. That took 2 hours and
22 minutes We made a few stops along the way so now
going to go to find the phone shop and hopefully pick up the fixed phone
When we arrived in Fethiye we had a little bit of a walk from the coach station to
the phone technician.
A lot of this water that's rushing through this viaduct I'd
suppose you'd call it, is probably from the rains but we also noticed on the way
that up on the higher mountains there is snow at big at high elevations
We took two phones into the phone technician while we were in Fethiye. Both
of them needed new screens. One of them was easy to replace and we picked that
up the next day but my phone because it is a Samsung Galaxy Edge meant that he
needed to order in the specialized screen. There's a fairly long back
history with the phone, basically we had to leave it in fFethiye because the
screen didn't arrive when he thought that it would. We'd already paid the guy
to have the phone fixed so we decided to trust that it would all be okay and came
to Kas because we had to catch a good sailing weather window. So we waited for
over five weeks and despite several emails and phone calls to the phone guy
he didn't send the phone back to me as we had asked him to so Wednesday was the
day that we were going to get the phone back. I was a bit thrown because he
wasn't there, in fact there was a whole different crew there. Well that was
disappointing although not totally unexpected but luckily they had Google
Translate on their computer and we were able to discuss the fact that while they
have replaced the screen there is another technical problem and
you can see that because the screen it still flashes, so I've chosen to take
the phone back with me to Kas to have it repaired there. It was a different
person that I saw today and she was very apologetic so ... we could have saved a lot
of time and effort if they'd just put that into an email and then we could have
collected the phone earlier and I could have used the phone sooner it's one of
those things it's a learning curve. All right so I'm ready for breakfast.
So after a quick snack for breakfast we set out to find the place that would fill
our bacon dreams! It wasn't the easiest shop to find.
What you doing Baz? Trying
to find the exact location of the butcher that specializes in the pork
products. I know it's somewhere down this end of town so we brought our internet
with us today and we're going to just google it let the phone tell us how
close we are to our objective or not.
Well our journey for the pork butcher it's proving a tad difficult! We're going
round in circles and Google search says either there
or it's there so one more look and then I think it's back home. Yeah.
Well after one
more try we thought we'll just come into this little place and just see cuz this
is marked as to where the pork butcher is even though it doesn't say anything
about pork on sign and it's the right place. Who'd have thought?
Well I think we now qualify for
honorary Canadian citizenship because we've walked half of Fethiye just to buy
some bacon. We also indulged in some sausages at the same time. We walked past
the place twice because it didn't look anything like a butcher's and when we
finally went inside the lady said that apparently because of the economy had
had a downturn in Turkey they'd actually doubled up what their business does and
they turned it into a little mini supermarket as well.
What are ou barking at? Oh yeah I know I can see you. You can smell our bacon can't you
Bacon. Dog wants bacon. Looks like a bacon dog doesn't he? Any meat will do thanks. Any meat will do.
We got to the bus
station just in time to catch the 12:15 bus
Just a quick follow-up story on the phone. I took my phone up to the phone
hospital in Kas and the guy had to look at it and yes it did have more problems
that needed fixing. It wasn't going to be a cheap fix so what I ended up doing for
the same price as the phone would have cost to be fixed, I bought myself a
reconditioned Samsung Galaxy and it's in excellent condition so I'm very happy
I've got a phone that does everything that I want it to do
plus it doesn't have the curved edge which means that I can put it into a
phone mount and carry it around with me easily which was actually an issue that
I was having with my old phone. So everything's turned out really well plus
we have a story to tell.
What I'm finding with most jobs on the boat is that
something that I think is going to be quite simple usually turns out to be
bigger than Ben Hur and this job is no different. I thought I was just going to
take out the non stainless steel bolt clean up the rust and replace the bolt
with a stainless steel bolt but now it seems that the rust has been going on
for quite some time and as you can see here all the metal around the bolt hole
is badly corroded. Now we could probably get away with this for another year but
seeing as we're in Turkey were it's relatively inexpensive to get things
done I'm gonna strip this down and take it up to our magic mechanic Aydin and see
if he can help us out with getting this stainless steel reinforced or replaced
Once again the magic mechanic Aydin has come up with the goods and done a great
repair on the bracket on this swim ladder but before I do put it back
together I'll get some rust remover on there and have a go at it with a
toothbrush just to clean it up as was suggested by one of our followers on
YouTube thank you very much for that tip and then we'll get this thing put back
together and that's another job we can tick off the list. I love ticking things
off lists!
Now because Aydin's made this a lot thicker than it originally was, the
bolt that goes through here is a little bit short so I'm just gonna temporarily
put this together for now and make sure it all fits and works okay and then
tomorrow when the shops open again we'll take this bolt out and replace it
with a slightly longer one.
And I deliberately didn't put the washer on there because there's so little
purchase I didn't want the extra space but I will put the washer on when I
replace that bolt tomorrow. One of the reasons why this was rusting so much is
because when the swim ladder goes into the water this whole section here
actually fills up with salt water and it doesn't really drain out well so I also got
Aydin to put in a couple of drain holes here and here which means that when we
do pull it up we can drain all the saltwater out and make sure it's as dry
as possible for storage.
And there she is a very serviceable swimmer for a good many years to come
With a bunch of my tools now taking over most of the galley space the time has
come to finally fix these extinguishers into place in the berths. In both of the
aft cabins we haven't really got a lot of choice as to where we can mount the
fire extinguishers so this bulkhead here which leads into the engine compartment
is probably going to be the best spot. And we've decided we're going to mount
them just about here so that they're out of the way as much as possible.
So there we go that's one done and I'll do the same in the other aft birth and
then we'll go forward to the princess suite and mount the fire extinguisher
there which is slightly more involved because we've got to get under the bed
and remove some of the wood from beneath the mattress to be able to tighten up the
nuts and bolts but I'm happy with that.
Well the princess suite's not looking very princessy at the moment it's
looking more like a bombsite and the reason for that is because where we're going
to mount the fire extinguisher in here getting access to the back end so I can
tighten up the nuts and the washer is a little bit difficult let's have a look
So here at the base of the bed is pretty much the only position in the cabin
that's suitable for mounting the fire extinguisher. I don't really want to mount
it on here we want to get it tucked out of the way as much as possible. It would
also be pretty impossible to mount it here because again these are our
stainless steel water tanks and they are not going to allow us any access to the back
So this section here where we are gonna mount it the only access to the back is
through here. Now I've got to get in here and take this wooden panel off so I can
get access to the back end there so it's a bit more complicated than it was in
the aft beths, but we're getting there
Well as you can see this one was a little bit more involved than the other
two but it's in it's done and now all I've got to do is put the princess suite back
together before the princess finds out.
Join us next week on sailing A B Sea as we

ruins of the Hellenistic temple plus much more. If you're new here do consider

Mission Accomplie! 😀🎉 - Duration: 24:22.
Only because I'm so impress about his...
It's now quarter past midnight.
Look outside.
And it will not really be darker than that.
Maybe it'll stay like that for maybe two hours and it will start to clear.
Good! That's it, last day that starts this morning.
It's a bit about time.
In fact, a break, it will be good.
This morning when I got up, let's say that I was very snorted and I felt
very stupid to do what I am doing.
It happens sometimes.
I do not say that I regret, no I am super happy to do what I do.
But sometime, I fell quite stupid.
So today I will ride about 80km like yesterday.
With about as many ascent, a 1500m in elevation.
Yeah I think I'm going to do a lot elevation because on the way that
I ride there are a lot of tunnel that are not not allowed for cyclist, so there are
detours to do and I believe there are some in there that...
Cars can pass in the mountains, but cyclists have to overcome it.
Good! It's going well, it's about seven to eight kilometers that I ride.
I still do a little elevation, but now it should go down for a while.
I am still in altitude and I have the impression that ...
And I talked about it with a German couple who slept at the same inn as I last night.
They have the same impression as me, it's as if Norwegians have cottages everywhere.
They may have two, three, four cottages.
It looks like there are uninhabited cottages everywhere.
Everywhere everywhere everywhere.
In these regions.
The beautiful corners near the fjords or high up here in the quiet corners, in the woods near the lakes.
There are a lot of people I talked to lately from Bergen.
They have a cottage not too far just to relax away from Bergen.
I can not wait to see what Bergen is like ...
It does not seem to be a very big city.
But maybe.
I do not know, we'll see.
First tunnel this morning, but I can't pass in.
It should start going down soon.
That's the kind of spot I like.
And there we go back to the bike.
I need to talk to you about something important.
Because...
Almost all the tourists I see, when we come to places like that.
Do something terrible.
They arrive, they look at this beautiful landscape through their phone, or their camera.
They take a picture and they leave.
I see many people arrive in front of places like that, who does not look at it at all.
They only look at it through a three and a half inches screen to take a picture ...
That they may never look again.
Or now there is a couple who have just take a photo with another friend, I guess.
A photographer friend with a good camera.
They arrived, they took the place in photo and they take a picture of them in
front of the fall, and they left.
They never looked with their eyes at the landscape.
And the photo will never be as beautiful as the place is.
Since the beginning of the trip, I may have made a Terra Byte of photos and videos.
I take a lot, but it's a...
Not only is it for documentaries, but it is a complement to what I see.
As I speak to you and I look at the same time because WOW!
This is completely crazy!
And it's thanks to thoses photos that I will manage to remember one day ...
Looking at theses photos what it was.
But they never saw it.
They only saw it through a damned screen that small.
It's sad.
Take the time to look at the landscapes when you travel.
Take the time.
Ah!
Today it's even harder to find something to eat.
Because it's Sunday.
What does it do?
In Europe, Sundays, all the businesses are closed.
And there is a convenience store on the other side.
They must have hot dogs.
Ah here it's great, they show to have baguette.
Sandwiches with ham, cheese, tomatoes, salad, a lot of noise.
Pfoua !!
Pfoua!
Bastard!
Ah here it's good, they have baguette.
Baguette sandwiches.
Nice bread, with ham, cheese, salad tomatoes,
but when I asked her she told me there were no more.
So there was panini too, it looked good,
but that too was no longer available.
So I eat a hot dog.
It's still pathetic.
Grocery stores are closed.
And in convenience stores I can only eat ice cream, pepsi, chips, jujubes and hot dogs.
Hot dog is great, but not at all days and especially not while riding a bike.
This is not easily digestable while riding.
Yeah!
Hi!
He speaks Norwegian.
I do not speak Norwegian
Looks heavy!
-Ah yes it is! Haha!
You will never guess what ...
I am burning hot.
That's exhausting all that elevation today.
Ah!
There I hope I deserve a good downhill.
Ta!
Do you know what is even better than being sitting on the edge here with a view like that?
It's being sitting on the edge here with a view like that, and an ice cream.
Yeah!
Oh shit!
I just met a cyclist and he told me that the road where I'm going is blocked by a ...
landslide.
That must be for that the yellow sign which was written in Norwegians behind.
And I've just take down so much in elevation.
It means that if I'm not able to pass I have to go back up, and that's shit.
It may not be that bad, it's maybe just like the other day.
I think I'm going to.
He told me it was only 1km away. I don't have to much to lose.
I will go take a look.
Yeah...
The road is really very closed.
But I hear the highway not so far and if I look at the map I see that I will cross it in a few meters.
And there is a small path that goes down there.
I do not know if it goes to the road.
It would save me from traveling three kilometers detour over there.
And having climb back all of it is the worst I really do not want to go back up.
It's probably just that.
If I pass my bike here, I think I solve my problem.
This is something that is a bit pathetic in Norway.
Because here my only other solution is to go through the tunnels that I'm not allowed to use because I'm cycling.
I see the little path going to the tunnel that I do not have to use.
But I really think I'm only going to pass my bike here and I will continue.
It's going to be a lot less complicated.
I just have to get through it.
I do not really want to go on the road.
I said that Norwegians had a exemplary conduct, but it looks like here
as I am close to the city ...
There are still many who have exemplary conduct, but it seems that there are more bad drivers on the road.
There is one who made an overtaking earlier.
He was coming towards me and he passed me super close because he was super hurry to pass with his Mercedes.
Finally it was blocked only on 300m.
Then here 300m further I have to redo the same process to pass my bike.
It's going to be the slowest km of the day.
And keep going.
Kitty
Kitty, come on.
Come on kitty!
I think my Snickers have melted a bit.
Another 15km before arriving.
At the speed I'm going it's about an hour and a half.
It's beautiful.
But I am so, but so exhausted.
I can not wait to arrive, it will do good to rest.
We can say that it will be deserved.
What is that.
Ah it's ice cream so I looked like a shithead for a while.
Bravo!
I have two GPS that tell me to go through there.
So that goes up, I hope that it's not really barred.
Otherwise I have to go back down and I take a detour further.
And I don't have any energy left.
It must not, please.
Sometimes I hate gravity and elevation.
I finally arrived in Bergen.
I only have to go to my AirB & B.
-Pascal!
Hey!
-You okay?
I was about to shout ''Simon''.
-I'm fine and you?
-Wellto play!
Ah! It's over.
Good! It's over, I arrived at my final destination and I do not need to ride a bike anymore.
I just met Simon again ...
Hahaha !! Yes he looks proud here because ... I'm tired, I did not want to go out and he had food.
So he's cooking us pasta Ketchup.
Hahaha !!!
I have a doubt about what's going to taste, but ...
It does not matter, it does not cost much and that stuffs.
This is important in Norway because prices are ridiculous.
I saw... Yesterday, a small package of smoked salmon for 425 crowns.
So here it is, official, to celebrate it.
To celebrate the end of the crossing of the Netherlands, from Germany, Denmark, Sweden
and Norway by bike, we eat good pasta with Ketchup.
Oh well it's not so bad.
Hum!
Ah, it's good!
We even found bread in the bottom of the drawer.
And he is still good.
Well, here I am, at my destination.
The bike ride is over, so I'm in Bergen, tomorrow I will ...
It's really great because Simon, that I had met in Germany.
Well we booked an Airb&B together because it addicted that my journey, arrived
In Bergen and him, his way by Bergen, well it was good to be at the same time so we sleep right here.
So we spend two nights together.
In the background he will leave after the two nights to continue his journey to
the very North of Norway.
So tomorrow we will go together to visit the city and then I have to start getting ready to come back.
And that if I remember with Japan is the challenge.
It means that there I have to find myself a plane ticket, who can take my bike,
I must also find boxes to pack my bike, I have to bring my boxes to the airport.
It's easy when we are at home and we have a car that we can put the stuff in,
but when you do not have that it's more complicated.
So I have many things to inform me and I will try to come back on Thursday.
Today is sunday.
Thursday is the cheapest flight back.
Yeah / Wouf!
So I start to rest, and I see you tomorrow.
Bonsoir!

✅ Breaking News - Steven Gerrard won't block an early Rangers departure for Ovie Ejaria - Duration: 5:11.
Steven Gerrard insists he will not stand in the way of Ovie Ejaria returning to Liverpool
The 21-year-old looks increasingly likely to have played his last game for Rangers after becoming unsettled in Glasgow
Ejaria didn't travel to Austria for Thursday night's Europa League defeat by Rapid Vienna, with talks involving the midfielder, Gerrard and Liverpool now set to finalise his future
A return to Anfield would make him the second loanee to leave Ibrox early after striker Umar Sadiq was sent back to Roma having failed to make a positive impression in Govan
Ejaria has been a far more prominent figure, making 28 appearances, but Gerrard will respect the wishes of the player and his parent club
Asked what was behind the issue, Gerrard said: 'That's what I'm going to try and find out during the conversations
'At times, he has looked fantastic but I think his form has dipped slightly in the last couple of days, so I need to find out
'Ovie is a very quiet kid, he doesn't give you much. I might have to dig deep to try and find out what's going on
'He's a young kid, he's living away from his family. There might be other stuff going on in his life that I'm not aware of yet
'The reality is he's a Liverpool player and Liverpool have almost got to take charge of this
'Yes, we've got a loan situation with Ovie but we wouldn't keep a kid who was unhappy
I wouldn't stand in any kid's way whether he was signed with us or on loan. 'I want players here who are committed and want to help and want to play here
' It has been suggested that part of Ejaria's problem is a disillusionment with the physical nature of Scottish football
'I don't know, I'll ask him that question but I need to find out exactly what's in his head,' said Gerrard
'Where does he want to be and where does he want to play his football? Then I'll speak to Liverpool and together we'll make the right decision for the kid
' Sadiq's situation was far more clear-cut. The 21-year-old forward made just four first-team appearances — the last in October's Betfred Cup semi-final defeat to Aberdeen — having fallen well below expectations
'He's gone back to Roma,' confirmed Gerrard. 'That one hasn't worked out.' Those loan issues will not, however, radically alter the Ibrox manager's plans for the January transfer window
Gerrard spoke of a desire for reinforcements at the club after exiting the Europa League with defeat to Rapid Vienna on Thursday evening
But he is sticking by a wish for quality over quantity, with a focus on strengthening the midfield and forward areas
'I don't think we need drastic changes in the next window,' he said. 'I think it's more important to get some help in terms of quality
We need to add more quality to the current players. They need help in the dressing room in certain areas of the pitch
'January is a complicated window. A lot of teams don't want to let players go, inflation comes to prices because they know what you are looking for and they own it
It's very difficult. 'But the next two windows are very important for us as a team, I'm very aware of that
' One midfield solution could be a move to bring Steven Davis back to Ibrox from Southampton
And centre-back Gareth McAuley believes that his Northern Ireland team-mate would be an ideal addition
'I don't know if it's on the cards, but he's certainly the player who has been here before, who has captained the club and knows what it's about,' said McAuley
'The last time I spoke to Steven was at the last international game. He was keeping his cards close to his chest
'I know he's frustrated that he's not playing football and, if the opportunity is there for him and things are right with Southampton, then I'm sure that he would love to (come back)
'It's an amazing club. I can't think of anywhere better to play.'
