Youtube daily report Jan 14 2017

When it comes to international travel, where you're going may not matter as much as where

you're coming from.

That's because different passports allow varying levels of so-called travel freedom.

While some travelers are able to breeze through customs and stay abroad for months or even

years, others are subject to expensive visas, strict time limits or an otherwise heavy vetting

process.

So why is there this discrepancy?

Which countries have the most powerful passports?

Well, passports tend to reflect their country's international standing.

That is, countries with mostly positive diplomatic relations tend to have more powerful passports,

because the leaders of those countries have jointly signed on to bilateral visa agreements.

For example Afghan passport holders are extremely limited in where they can travel, as the country

is embroiled in many international conflicts.

According to the 2017 Passport Index, which ranks countries by the number of nations their

citizens can enter without a visa, Singapore has one of the most powerful passports.

Since its founding in 1965, Singapore's foreign policy has been predicated on fostering

as many international friends as possible.

The country took a neutral stance during the Cold War, instead focusing its efforts on

uniting Southeast Asian countries under ASEAN.

Today, the country plays an active role in the United Nations, often standing up to world

powers like the US, China and the UK, to ensure that smaller nations have a say in international

affairs.

It even upholds friendly relations with Malaysia, the country it separated from more than 50

years ago amid political and racial tension.

As a result of its good international standing, Singaporean passport holders can travel visa-free

to 156 countries and territories, including all of Europe, a region that is notoriously

difficult to gain full access to.

Sweden takes a similar approach to foreign policy, and accordingly, has an equally powerful

passport.

Sweden has not fought in an armed conflict since the early 19th century, when it fought

on the losing side of the Napoleonic Wars.

Instead, its military has focused on encouraging countries to disarm, peacekeeping and other

support missions.

As a neutral state, Sweden often serves as a protector for less powerful nations, and

a mediator in international disputes.

But the most powerful passport is that of Germany, offering visa-free access to 157

countries and territories.

Germany is arguably the world's strongest supporter of global cooperation.

It is a member of many international organizations, including the UN, EU, NATO and OECD, and contributes

more net funding to the European Union than any other member country.

Germany takes a leading role in solving global problems, like climate change, nuclear weapons

development and terrorism, and has used much of its own budget to bail out struggling EU

economies like Greece.

But forging friendships with other nations isn't the only way to gain widespread visa-free

travel.

Some countries, like China, have seen increased travel freedom simply because their citizens

have on average become wealthier.

In 2015, Japan, South Korea, and the US all eased visa restrictions on Chinese tourists,

presumably because of the economic benefits they would likely bring with them.

The Passport Index also shows that being a citizen of a global superpower is not all

that important to one's travel freedom.

In another study of travel freedom, the United States comes in fourth place, as relations

with countries like Vietnam are still somewhat tense.

In the end, a country's travel freedom is hugely important to its citizens.

The ability to move freely around the world is often correlated to a person's economic

opportunity, upward mobility and general quality of life.

As globalization takes hold, powerful passports are more critical now than ever.

No matter where your passport's from, some countries are notoriously difficult to enter,

especially if you are of a certain nationality.

To find out more about which countries you probably can't visit, check out this video.

Along with Finland, Germany, Sweden and the UK, the U.S. has the most powerful travel

privileges in the world allowing visa-free access to 174 countries.

Why are you doing this?

You've stayed angry long enough.

And you've taken it out on me for long enough.

So stop being angry and come back to me.

This isn't the right place for you.

My late father's sweat and hard work

and your dream are at Meesa Apparel,

and that's where you belong.

How many times must I tell you I'm not interested?

It's all in the past.

I told you. Things are bad at Meesa Apparel.

Some of the major shareholders and board members

are working on your return to management.

Tell them to stop.

I'm not interested in going back there at all.

Is it because of her? Get ahold of yourself, honey.

Wake up and smell the coffee, please.

You think a man like you

can be happy living a simple life?

What about the ambition burning inside you?

Hong Gipyo is getting out soon,

so she left you and went to live her own life.

Why can't you see she used you and dumped you?

Did you meet with Ms. Na Yeonsil?

You can't answer me, so I guess you did.

What did you say to Yeonsil?

Did you tell her to leave me?

You think I have nothing better to do?

I can't even guess what that woman did to you.

I can't understand how

such an ambitious man could change so much.

I don't want to hear any more of that nonsense,

so go home.

I know you well.

You can't be happy at a tiny tailor shop like this.

You will come back to me.

I will give you a bit of time.

Please leave a message after the beep.

It's raining.

I wonder if it's also raining where you are, Yeonsil.

We have so many memories about rain

You left so suddenly, but on nights like this,

I believe you might think of me, too.

at least leave me a message saying you're okay.

I can't relax until I hear your voice.

You worked so hard for that exam,

I wasn't going to make this for you if you did well,

but since you said you didn't, I made this for you.

I don't understand.

I want to turn you into a Korean wave star,

so if you pass the exam, that would complicate things.

Are you sure you did badly on the exam?

I don't think I did badly,

but I don't think I did really well, either.

Okay. Good job on doing badly.

You should eat up.

Eat.

The commercial shoot is only a few days away,

The fact that you've never gotten a facial before

means you were born to be a Korean wave star.

It's your destiny.

You seem to have such high expectations for me

that I feel quite pressured.

I'm only doing the model work because it pays well.

It's okay. I'll do it.

You had to take that hard exam,

so I'll do everything for you tonight.

You don't have to move a muscle.

Yes, ma'am.

You're so adorable.

Don't move. Your eyes might sting.

I don't need a facial.

I'll give you a facial.

but I've been under a lot of stress lately.

I think the headaches are because of that,

and I feel better after I lie down for a while.

I think you should get some tests done.

Tests?

Headaches have a lot of different causes,

so I'll have to get the results first,

but from your symptoms,

you might have a cerebral hemorrhage or brain tumor.

Brain tumor?

A tumor means cancer.

I have cancer?

So I'm dying?

I'm just saying it's a possibility.

We'd need the test results to know for sure,

so take the tests today.

Come back in a few days when we have the results.

I knew my headaches were weird.

I've never had these before.

And it was because of cancer?

Samdo.

Yeongeun, what are you doing here?

I came because I wanted to see you.

- Have a seat. / - Okay.

Let me bring you some tea. Just a second.

That's okay. Why don't you sit down?

Are you sure? Okay.

Have this with your coworkers

and take this to your wife.

I don't know what to say.

I'm really sorry about last night.

You have nothing to apologize for.

I failed to keep my wife in line,

so I'm really embarrassed and guilty.

But I was really jealous.

You always seemed desperate for love,

and it looked like your wife is giving you plenty,

so it made me happy.

That kind of love might just kill someone.

You came home early, Seonnyeo.

Is she sick? What's wrong with her?

I heard her arguing with Samdo last night.

Both Dongjin and Samdo

are having really bad days now.

I feel bad about being affectionate with you.

You too, phone?

Hello, this is Taepyeong, gentleman of trot music.

Smelt fish festival?

Yes, of course. I can be there.

This is Lee Dongsuk, the manager of

Taepyeong, gentleman of trot music.

We can discuss the fee.

Discuss what? I'm doing it no matter what.

We want the going rate for a singer of his level.

How about $30 more?

After gas and lunch, we won't make a penny.

Right. Okay.

Thank you. Goodbye.

Wow, $30.

Wow.

(Account holder: Lee Jeongeun)

- Here you go. / - Just a minute.

You don't look like you're from around here.

No, I just started working at a nearby farm.

It's a small town, so I know just about everyone

- who comes here. / - I see.

- It's an account transfer? / - Yes.

We're back.

- Hello. / - How does your stomach feel now?

- It's better. / - Where did these cakes come from?

Someone brought them. One's for my wife.

That's great.

I was craving something sweet for dessert.

Are you in?

Why is that woman back here?

What do you want?

I thought about it long and hard,

and I think you helped my daughter-in-law get away

because you were scared

since I told you Gipyo is getting out.

That's not true, so please leave.

If you didn't help her get away,

where did she disappear to all of a sudden?

Why are you asking us?

We don't know anything, so we're all frustrated.

I can get Gipyo's boys to look into it.

Do whatever you want. Give me this month's rent.

Why are you asking me for the rent?

Then whom should I ask?

You should ask the person who signed the lease.

Why are you asking me?

You kicked her out, and you're living there.

Ugh! Be quiet. I'm not giving you a penny,

so if you want your rent, ask my daughter-in-law.

If you keep this up, I might report you to the police.

Suit yourself. Until you bring my daughter-in-law back,

you're not getting a penny from me. Ha!

She's impossible.

(Bank text / $500 deposited)

Oh! It's Yeonsil.

Yeonsil sent you a text?

No, she didn't send a text. She wired me the rent.

Can you come with me to the bank?

I just got some money in my account.

Can I find out which branch it was deposited from?

If you give me your ID and bankbook, I'll check.

Here you go.

It's one of our branches, so I got it.

Ms. Na Yeonsil deposited the money

from the Hwaseong Central Branch in Gyeonggi-do.

- The Hwaseong Central Branch? / - Yes.

There's no one in Hwaseong, so why go there?

If my mother said something like that to you,

you should've come to me first.

How could you just disappear like that?

Wait. I'm on my way there.

Dongjin used to be so gentle,

so how could he scream at me like that?

My heart is still pounding.

He got frustrated and raised his voice.

He didn't scream at you. Don't be so sad.

No matter how frustrated he was,

how could he call me cruel?

I cried after Yeonsil left.

He wouldn't even look at me this morning

and turned around and left.

No good comes from having children.

By the way, you really don't know?

You know where Yeonsil is, don't you?

Why are you doing this?

I don't know. I really don't.

If you were her, would you have told

the one who kicked you out where you were going?

Why would she when she probably hates me?

Oh, boy.

Thank you. I'll see you again.

Thank you.

Hello, this is Yeonsil.

I just made the delivery, and I'm coming back.

Yes. See you soon.

(Mr. Lee Mansul)

Hello?

Is that you, Yeonsil?

Yes, Mr. Lee.

I'm relieved now that I've heard your voice.

I'm sorry for leaving without talking to you.

Don't be. It was like we kicked you out.

I should apologize.

But Yeonsil, I need to talk to you.

I'll come to where you are.

I'm sorry, Mr. Lee.

It's the wish of an old man.

Soon I won't be able to see anymore,

so even if I wanted to, I couldn't see your face.

So let's meet.

Where are you right now?

I'll come and see you, Mr. Lee.

Is everyone doing well?

How could they when you disappeared like this?

I'm sorry.

Why would you be?

My wife and I said we'd treat you like our own,

but we kicked you out, so it's our fault.

No.

You two were so good to me. So I'm really sorry.

It's not a crime to love someone.

There's no need to apologize to me or my wife.

But Yeonsil,

Dongjin is having a very hard time.

He's been going to places, looking for you.

I'm sure you are in a lot of pain,

but he must be dying inside.

I'm sorry.

I'm really sorry.

Don't you think it's Dongjin you must apologize to?

So come back to the tailor shop.

I'm sorry, but I can't do that, Mr. Lee.

Are you giving up on your dream of becoming

the best female tailor in Korea?

What you have with Dongjin is important too,

but you can't forget you're a tailor.

How can you work at a farm when

you should be making suits?

I know what you're saying,

but I don't think the timing is right.

I made a promise to Ms. Choi,

so if I stayed in this field,

Dongjin will be able to find me.

I don't want Dongjin to become a bad son to Ms. Choi.

I'm looking for someone.

I came here because I heard

she transferred money from here a few hours ago.

Oh, her? She said she works at a farm.

Why are you looking for her?

A farm?

Excuse me, does this woman work here?

No, she doesn't.

Excuse me, have you seen this woman?

No, I haven't.

Please take a closer look.

I heard she works around here.

No, I haven't seen her.

What you have with Dongjin is important too,

but you can't forget you're a tailor.

The man you mentioned before?

You said his girlfriend betrayed him

for a rich man. What's his name?

I need to see the face of the man

who's making you so miserable.

It's Kang Taeyang.

I'm not good enough for you.

I'm poor, and my parents are poor,

and things aren't going to get much better for me.

Outside of those reasons,

is there any other reason why we shouldn't date?

I'm not interested in dating

Mr. Min Hyosang's little sister.

But Hyowon, there's something I couldn't tell you.

Before I told you I like you,

I thought about if I should tell you this.

Is it something serious?

- A bit... / - Is it something I must hear tonight?

If I don't tell you right now,

there might be misunderstandings.

Then I don't want to hear it.

I'm happy because you told me you love me tonight,

so I don't want to ruin this feeling.

Remember what I said?

That I had a girlfriend before I met you?

I feel like I'm deceiving you,

so I think you should know who it was.

Don't tell me. I don't want to hear it.

I'm begging you. I don't want to hear it.

Hyowon...

It's all in the past.

He looks even more handsome today.

How can I break up with someone like him?

I don't think I can break up with him.

Hello.

I texted you this morning.

I have a cold, so I took medicine and fell asleep.

I'm sorry.

- Is it bad? / - A bit.

I'll come over after my shift.

- No, don't come. / - Why not?

It's the flu, so it's really contagious.

I'll call you when I get better.

Drink lots of warm tea and get plenty of rest.

Honey.

What did you just say?

I said "Honey."

This is the first time you've called me "Honey."

You said you were sick,

so I called you that to make you feel better.

Get plenty of rest. I'll call you after I get off work.

Honey.

This is so embarrassing.

He's the first man to ever call me "Honey,"

so how can I break up with him?

No, I can't do it.

How did he know I'm here?

Excuse me,

a man is going to come here and ask you if I'm here.

Tell him I'm not.

Tell him you don't know me.

Why? Is he a debt collector?

Yes, he is.

So please tell him I'm not here. Please.

Excuse me. I'm looking for someone.

It's this person.

Does she work here?

No, I've never seen her before.

There's nobody here who looks like her.

Okay...

Why would such a young woman

work at a farm like this?

She's not in this neighborhood.

You don't care about the person you left behind?

The promises you made me mean nothing?

This is going to ruin my baby.

I'm sorry, Dongjin.

OB/GYN?

Why would you go to the OB/GYN?

We need to get married.

How can you say that so easily?

Please forgive me. I'm begging you.

What are you doing here?

Ever since you left, things have been getting worse.

Are you going back?

An interview?

Your face is going to be in the paper?

Wouldn't Seungwu need a dad?

I know where Yeonsil is.

Yeonsil?

Obama's Final Weekly Address : "You Made Me A Better President" - Duration: 3:44.

This week, I traveled to Chicago to deliver my final farewell address to the nation, following

in the tradition of Presidents before me.

It was an opportunity to say thank you.

Whether we've seen eye-to-eye or rarely agreed at all, my conversations with you,

the American people – in living rooms and schools; at farms and on factory floors; at

diners and on distant military outposts – are what have kept me honest, kept me inspired,

and kept me going.

Every day, I learned from you.

You made me a better President, and you made me a better man.

Over the course of these eight years, I have seen the goodness, the resilience, and the

hope of the American people.

I've seen neighbors looking out for each other as we rescued our economy from the worst

crisis of our lifetimes.

I've hugged cancer survivors who finally know the security of affordable health care.

I've seen communities like Joplin rebuild from disaster, and cities like Boston show

the world that no terrorist will ever break the American spirit.

I've seen the hopeful faces of young graduates and our newest military officers.

I've mourned with grieving families searching for answers, and found grace in a Charleston

church.

I've seen our scientists help a paralyzed man regain his sense of touch, and our wounded

warriors walk again.

I've seen our doctors and volunteers rebuild after earthquakes and stop pandemics in their

tracks.

I've learned from students who are building robots and curing diseases and who will change

the world in ways we can't even imagine.

I've seen the youngest of children remind us of our obligations to care for our refugees,

to work in peace, and above all to look out for each other.

That's what's possible when we come together in the hard, slow, sometimes frustrating,

but always vital work of self-government.

But we can't take our democracy for granted.

All of us, regardless of party, should throw ourselves into the work of citizenship.

Not just when there's an election, not just when our own narrow interest is at stake,

but over the full span of a lifetime.

If you're tired of arguing with strangers on the internet, try to talk with one in real

life.

If something needs fixing, lace up your shoes and do some organizing.

If you're disappointed by your elected officials, then grab a clipboard, get some signatures,

and run for office yourself.

Our success depends on our participation, regardless of which way the pendulum of power

swings.

It falls on each of us to be guardians of our democracy; to embrace the joyous task

we've been given to continually try to improve this great nation of ours.

Because for all our outward differences, we all share the same proud title: Citizen.

It has been the honor of my life to serve you as President.

Eight years later, I am even more optimistic about our country's promise.

And I look forward to working along your side, as a citizen, for all my days that remain.

Thanks, everybody.

God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.

Walking Alone in the Wilderness: A Story of Survival (Part 3) | Nat Geo Live - Duration: 25:08.

So on my foraging journey, I met this one.

It's pure sugar.

Imagine, when you are out there, starving,

and suddenly there is sugar.

In the middle of that little thing there,

you've got little insects.

The insects build a little house,

and inside is pure sugar.

Other tricks, you can use a lot of things,

including water plant, lotus plant,

and not all of them are edible,

and not all of them are edible raw.

Some of them, you cook them, they lose the toxicity.

You really have to know what you're doing.

And this is the knowledge by the way,

coming from the Aboriginal people only.

Is not my knowledge.

This is only from the knowledge of those 60,000 years,

they've been living there.

And sometimes, when you are there,

I wondering, I'm never wondering why I'm out there,

I'm wondering what is out there.

Because, I have to make a confession to you guys.

I still don't know why I'm walking.

Imagine.

I've ran all around the planet, once.

It's a lot of walking.

And I still don't know.

We don't always have to know.

We don't always have to know things.

But the reality, it's not what you think,

it's what you feel.

What you feel's right for you,

you must do.

This is a really good day.

This is like a, foof, five star, top left corner,

we've got a little wood house, it's like a tumor

in one type of eucalyptus.

We've got a little hole in the middle.

Inside, we've got a soft shell, like really soft soft shell,

and it's like a little bed, and inside the bed

you've got insect, little grubs.

And you chuck that in a fire, cook a little bit,

when the smokes get out of the little hole,

it's cooked, you can eat the bugs and the bed.

Lovely.

Top, red thing called dog balls.

Really sweet and powerful vitamin C,

really difficult to find, really rare,

grow in a really high grass.

You really have to have an eye for this one.

Really happy to find it because that

will cut my hunger at night.

On the right corner, we've got,

some really, we call that wild peach.

Doesn't taste like a peach at all.

It's really sour, but I like to have that

in my mouth, to makes my mouth watering during the day.

And finally, the main five star food,

will help me along the way a lot,

it's this one.

This is the boab nut.

The boab nut come from the boab tree,

and this tree teach me so much.

So, this is amazing takeaway food.

See this fruit?

This is the boab nut, and inside,

you've got what I can eat.

It's a lot of work, always, involving that process.

So you have to smash the little powder thing inside,

you will find 15 to 20 little nuts.

And then, those nuts, you have to roast them,

on a fire, but not too hot.

You have to make a fire, take the fire away,

and roast it under hot sand.

And then only, you can smash it between two stones,

and start to eat the little white meat inside.

So it's a lot of process and work, but,

really good news, right?

Food that actually I can carry with me.

This is amazing thing.

Really powerful food, also.

Typical afternoon, in my house.

End of the day, after really hot day because

I have to say it's really hot,

and during this time,

because you've got two different times when you can do this.

It's during the wet season, or the dry season.

I decided to do the dry season thing.

More easy, right.

But that was also the bushfire season,

so I will have this pressure constantly,

of having my nose in the wind all the time

to smell what's going on in the air,

because if there's a bushfire coming in,

you need to react straight away,

knowing that a bushfire goes 40 kilometers an hour,

it's really fast.

So typically there, I've got this flat stone here,

and I will be smashing the boab nuts on the stone.

That's all I will eat.

And, of course, fishing.

Well, those water there, they are salty water.

Brackish, as they call that in Australia.

So they are tidal water.

On the bottom you've got the sweet water,

on the top you've got the salt water.

So if you want to drink some water,

you need to wait when the tide goes down,

and only you can drink water.

So, that's also tricky, for fishing.

Because depend of the tide,

you've got the type of fish in it or not.

So, you kind of happy to have a fish, right?

So let me tell you a story about that fish.

This fish, it toxic.

You've got this little back fin here, on the spine.

If you touch that, not long to live.

That's why I put a piece of wood in its mouth, like that.

So the first fish, I'm an excellent fisherwoman,

really excellent, because I grew up,

we were going, not on holiday,

we were going fishing with my father, or my brother.

So I'm good at this.

So the first fish that I actually took,

was like a kid, this fish was jumping out of the water,

I would be like so happy!

I can still see this fish jumping out.

So then later the next thing I hear was like, splash.

Crocodile gets it.

I was like, really?!

How I'm going to do these thing?

I'm doing all the work, and they're going to eat all, what?!

Not on my watch!

So there's always a solution, right?

I been thinking a little bit,

I'm going to get you guys.

I noticed that I was doing it,

more I was doing a little noise on top of the water.

More they're attracted to the noise, right?

So I will do that.

And then, on purpose, I would retrieve my stuff,

and get to my second point, 150 meters away,

and fish really quietly here.

And grab my fish, and go back to my point and say,

haha, got one (laughs).

But, I'm always a fair player,

because I will always share my food.

This is the rule in the bush,

this is the rule with nature, I always share my food.

So I will cut the fish, take the guts out,

cut the head, and I will give it to those amazing

friends of mine, which is the sweetwater crocodiles.

How cute they are!

They're looking at you!

You can't not fall in love with those things.

And they are so passion, and they are there waiting,

and you give them something, like little puppy really.

They become my friend and my soulmate out there.

There was nobody, no human, no sign of human,

only snakes, crocodiles.

And them...

So, once I get the fish, you have to still to cook the fish,

so the best way to cook a fish,

and be able to eat all of the meat,

is to cook in the water, simple like that.

And interestingly, I had some salt and pepper with me,

never use it.

I love the taste of the food, of the fiber, of nature.

So sometimes, when you are there,

I had a chance to wash myself.

Imagine.

So, this is a natural soap.

It's one extremity of a eucalyptus tree.

So, I took this, and if you smash it between your hands,

in the water, it's got the saturation and saponin,

it's actually like a soap.

It's amazing, make your hair so shiny,

and really works, really.

And the good thing also about this trick,

it's if you are in a small billabong,

you can actually do that in the water,

and that will make a saturation of oxygen in the water,

and the fish living there will come up in the surface,

with the tummy up, looking for oxygen.

You just have to collect your dinner.

Thanks to the Aboriginal people.

So when you are there like that,

you can wash, but not like here.

One day it's the left foot, another day it's the right one.

Little bit after,

anyway, in my country, a good cheese is a smelly cheese.

So, back to the action.

This is a typical camp.

Things always two knife, you notice?

In case if I forgot one.

Or in case if I lose one in an emergency.

But I will never sleep near the water.

It's the last thing you have to do.

I will actually stay there,

the water is just not far off,

collect my food, fishing, then that day

I noticed some tracks on the sand.

I saw there was some dingos around.

So, rather than giving the inside guts of the fish

to the crocodile, I will leave it on the side,

cause I know that will be little four legs friend

coming to get it.

Anyway, I finish my day, eat, collect everything,

walk off, because those crocodiles,

can actually put their legs up and walk five kilometers

inland, so you better know where you're sleeping.

Pretty high up, right?

There was this typical thing up there,

where crocodile eat German people.

What happened, those German people get drunk,

and they are feeling really powerful,

and they kind of sleep near the water,

thinking, you know, you're not going to get me here,

20 meters from the water.

They sleep in the tent, completely drunk.

The crocodiles come at night, take the bottom of the tent,

and withdraw the tent, get in the water,

and turn the tent, and the guy is inside the tent

half-drunk, and he's going to do spin,

washing machine spin, and he doesn't know what's going on,

until he's dead.

So, all those stories, I was aware of.

So, really every single night, I would go in safe spot.

And so what does it mean, a safe spot?

Where to go?

Where to find my way?

So I will study those topographic map forever.

This is my skills, I'm so good with maps.

Good all maps, you know.

Good compass, good on maps, all I need.

Well this map, it's actually dated 1972.

Because the government doesn't do any new map

from there, there is no need.

So, but the mountains doesn't move.

So, I will study those forever,

because the secret is there.

You have to listen to the landscape, to be.

If you want to find water, you need to be the water.

If I was the water, if I was the stream,

where I will go?

You have to imagine.

If you want to find a fish, you need to be the fish.

Because you need to get in touch with who we are inside,

and inside, all of us here,

the magical news that I've got tonight,

that we are animals.

We are mammals after all.

Half of it.

And the good thing about it,

is we can get in touch with that animality.

That would help us a lot during everyday life.

I use that a lot.

I smell, if I come near you and I start smelling you,

don't worry too much, right?

Really, we've got senses.

You know, the communication between two human beings,

it's only 7% on the conversation, on words.

The rest, it's invisible.

The rest is smell, attitude, feeling.

We use our senses, we don't realize at all,

and out there, is the only thing you can do,

get in touch with your animality.

And when you're starving, I remember,

in the Gobi Desert, there's a precious moment

where after six months of walking, sweating,

painful body.

I wake up, open my tent, I'm in the Gobi,

there's nothing around me.

Only sand, wind, and type of rocky thing.

Nothing too exciting.

Open the thing, and suddenly that day,

I was like a little ice cube, melting in the sand,

and I become the wind, the sand, the rocks.

I become one with nature.

I believe today, it's why I'm actually walking.

Is to get this link, this touch, with who we are.

This touch with where we've got the feet on,

we are on this planet, all of us.

We do not have boundaries, we belong to this planet.

This is the magic of it.

Well, it's really good diet.

After three weeks I lose 12 kilogram.

It's quite quick, fast.

Really, walking 12 hours a day,

try to catch my food, it was quite,

really a difficult task.

But, that was not to forgot my determination

in this journey.

How we can be so determined,

how we can go for a dream that bad?

Well, there is no recipe.

Because, the currency: sweat, pain,

but happiness, yes, happiness, fun,

sense of humor, do not forgot your sense of humor,

is the most important thing you will have with you,

all your life.

That's what I've got in my survival kit.

First, when people ask me,

what you've got in your surviving kit?

I say, "my sense of humor, do not walk out of the door"

"without it."

So because you need it, see.

When you've got this kind of terrain to cross,

this is a swamp.

I need to cross that swamp,

and on the bottom of that swamp, there is water.

Big hole in some places.

And inside those hole, you've got crocodiles.

And snakes, falling from the tree.

And,

big wild bull, frozen bull not moving,

hearing you moving through those dry Pandanus leaves.

See, the floor is full of those Pandanus leaves.

Dry ones, so whatever you're doing,

you're making too much noise.

They hear you coming in.

It's like playing a little bit with the life you've got.

So you have to trust something, in one stage.

You have to trust,

in your,

capability of melting with nature.

Because I know I'm in the right spot.

I know that what I'm doing,

it's where I'm supposed to be.

And this is the only way to understand nature.

If every one of us here tonight,

know where they belong to,

it's a magical step to take.

So, I was in the this building before I leave

for this expedition.

Talking with the senior photographer editor here,

and she was saying to me, well, Sarah,

you don't want video crew with you.

Can you just do one concession?

Imagine if I give you a photographer,

like a few days.

Imagine, six days before the end of your journey,

I get the photographer on location,

and photographer follow you.

I was, you know, like concession a little bit,

you have to be flexible a little bit.

I say, okay, let's do this, on one condition.

Has to be a cute male photographer.

Imagine, I'm out there for so long,

and she say, okay, I do my best.

Helicopter arrive, and this is the person who walk out.

I do not know what this woman didn't understand

about the cute photographer.

That was a woman!

And I can see this woman walking off the chopper,

the helicopter, say hi, I'm Krystle.

I look at her and say, you're not a man.

She was a bit shocked.

She had a little bit briefing before,

knowing that I'm not going to be that easy to work with.

And anyway, we go on this amazing trip.

She was unbelievable, all the crazy pictures you saw,

amazing picture, that's come from her,

her name is Krystle Wright, she's amazing photographer,

National Geographic photographer.

And on the top of it, she played a game.

She's been really foraging for her own food, also.

She knows all about bush tracker by now.

And when,

when we walked together, at night,

we exhausted, really.

We make a little fire for the sake of it, really.

Boil some hot water, I'll be starving going to bed,

counting the days like, four days to go.

But at the end of the day, when the light is off

in her little tent, because I would have my little tent,

she would have her little tent,

the night is quiet, I would hear some (crinkling),

wrapping paper going on.

Like, what?!

Darling?

What's going on?

Oh, you don't want to know.

No, I do want to know.

Talk to me, at least talk to me,

I can't handle this.

I want to know.

Curiosity, it's not one of my fortes,

I need to know.

Talk to me!

She said, "okay."

"Flatbread with tuna."

Because, it was, of course she would bring food with her.

She's working.

And so, every night we would have this little game

going on at night.

To my little, I was like, okay, three days to go,

Sarah, you can do this.

Every night was getting more difficult,

I was getting more starving.

And one night, I hear this unusual noise.

Looks like a jar, plastic jar thing.

Yeah.

And I say, okay.

New, this is new, right?

She said, no, no no, no.

No yeah, that's new.

I never heard it.

And she couldn't speak pretty much,

she had something in her mouth.

And I was like, what is it?

Mm, nothing.

(loud chewing)

Nothing really.

I said, talk to me.

It's Nutella.

She was eating Nutella with a spoon, seriously.

Anyway, she tested my power inside me,

and we will make joke about it during the journey.

She will wait, really, at the end of the day,

to actually eat something in her tent,

not tempting me or not be eating in front of me.

So the magic of those journey,

the magical way of walking through this planet,

been doing this for 23 years.

I walked basically everywhere.

What I can take out with me,

If I have to take one phrase out,

will be this one.

Let your soul touch the earth.

Go walking.

Because this is the most beautiful thing we can do.

Get this connection with the planet.

And, feel connected, to the universe,

and have faith on what we are, as a species,

in this planet.

Because we are all connected, that we want it or not.

We are this spiderweb of people connected to each other.

And only thing we can do

is really understand this connection,

that we've got with each other on the planet.

And start to look after her,

because after all, the planet doesn't need us.

We need the planet.

And this is my arrow, my mom, my cute little mom,

she will support me all through my childhood,

my adult life, and she was this really smart soul.

She would say to me, Sarah, do you want to do

your homework, or clean your room?

Well, I had the choice, right?

So she's been this really smart, incredible mom,

supporting me.

And she doesn't know a word in English.

She doesn't travel at all.

But, she will be there, on location,

in every expedition I will finish.

She'll be there for me.

And on the left, it's my assistant,

slash cousin, all the family's involved in my expedition.

And one day,

I did the last bit, the last step.

And this looked like this.

There is this heart, inside me,

will take me out there walking again, and again,

and again, and again.

Because I've been doing this for 23 years.

I know, this really strange feeling,

which is like a link with nature,

a direct connection with nature that I've got,

I know I will follow that pain again,

to go back again, to nature, with my two feet.

Because I believe humans can get along with nature again.

Thank you very much.

(applause)

Bloodborne | The Tale of Laurence - Duration: 9:31.

The Healing Church is the fountainhead of blood healing.

I have heard that the holy medium of blood healing is venerated in the main cathedral.

And that councilors of the old church reside in the high stratum of the Cathedral Ward.

If you seek blood healing, and the church is willing, you should pay them a visit.

Seek the old blood.

Let us pray... let us wish... to partake in communion.

And feast upon the old blood.

Our thirst for blood satiates us, soothes our fears. Seek the old blood...

But beware the frailty of men. Their wills are weak, minds young.

The foul beasts will dangle nectar and lure the meek into the depths.

Were it not for fear, death would go unlamented.

Master Willem, I've come to bid you farewell...

Oh, I know, I know... You think, now, to betray me.

No, but you will never listen. I tell you, I will not forget our adage.

We are born of the blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood.

Our eyes are yet to open...

-Fear the old blood. -Fear the old blood.

I must take my leave...

By the gods, fear it, Laurence...

Oh, Laurence... what's taking you so long...

I've grown too old for this, or little use now, I'm afraid...

Laurence... Master Willem... Somebody help me...

Unshackle me, please, anybody... I've had enough of this dream...

Somebody, please...

This is the Hunter's Nightmare, where hunters end up when drunk with blood.

You've seen them before. Aimless, wandering hunters, slavering like beasts.

This is what the poor fools have to look forward to.

You sense a secret within the Nightmare, and cannot bear to leave it be.

As if the spirit of Byrgenwerth lives on within you!

Do you know why the Hunters are drawn to this Nightmare?

Because it sprouted from their very misdeeds.

RESIDENT EVIL 7 NEWS | Capcom's Incredible VCR Publicity Stunt | Sewer Gators VHS Info - Duration: 2:24.

Courtesy of an incredible Capcom publicity stunt, Different big media video game sites

including Polygon, EGM and Gamespot received a strange 10 pound package in the mail.

And when they opened it up they found something creepy and ancient instead.

The package contained an old and real VCR as well as a VHS tape with a custom message

typed on the front.

GET THIS TAPE TO Insert media outlet here.

Each outlet's tape is basically the same minus the custom company mention.

I don't care what you need to do, this tape needs to get to Gamespot

It needs to get to IGN

You gotta get it to EGM

Giant Bomb

Get it to Polygon whateve…AHHHH

They contain footage of the actor who plays Pete from the sewer gators.

He talks about his TV crew all being dead or missing and the Baker Family being maniacs

before he himself gets captured.

While digital versions were found on Youtube, EGM actually played the tape itself And it

worked.

But after 1 play it broke, possibly by design, and they couldn't watch it again.

The message comes from the Sewer Gators, of the Resident Evil 7 Demo VHS tape from hell

fame, "did you hear that" who have stumbled upon the horrific Baker family and are looking

for help.

The format should look familiar as RE7 is going to have VHS tapes players must watch

to learn clues about what to do in the game.

From a timeline standpoint, between the Beginning Hour Demo where Andre dies, to the Kitchen

Demo where Clancy & Pete die, there is a missing hour.

There is already a good chance we play as "Clancy" in a tape/story, and perhaps

a game VHS or this media tape is the Pete story.

With all the focus this weekend on the release of the Nintendo Switch, this was a very creative

way for Capcom to jam some Resident Evil buzz into the fray.

Good work!

Castle On The Hill | Ed Sheeran (Cover) by KadiMusic - Duration: 4:56.

When I was six years old I broke my leg

I was running from my brother and his friends

And tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass as I rolled down

I was younger then,

Take me back to when

I

found my heart and broke it here

Made friends and lost them through the years

And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long,

Oh how i've grown

But I can't wait to go home

I'm on my way

Driving at 90 down those country lanes

Singing to "Tiny Dancer"

And I miss the way

You make me feel,

And it's real

We watched the sunset

Over the castle on the hill

Fifteen years old and smoking hand-rolled cigarettes

Running from the law through the backfields and getting drunk with my friends

Had my first kiss on a Friday night,

I don't reckon that I did it right

But I was younger then

Take me back to when..

We found weekend jobs, when we got paid We'd buy cheap spirits and drink them straight

Me and my friends have not thrown up in so long,

Oh, how we've grown

But I can't wait to go home

I'm on my way

Driving at 90 down those country lanes

Singing to "Tiny Dancer" And I miss the way

You make me feel,

And it's real

We watched the sunset

Over the castle on the hill

Over the castle on the hill

Over the castle on the hill

One friend left to sell clothes

One works down by the coast

One had two kids but lives alone

One's brother overdosed

One's already on his second wife

One's just barely getting by

But these people raised me And I

can't wait to go home

I'm on my way

I still remember these old country lanes

When we did not know the answers And I miss the way

You make me feel

And It's real

We watched the sunset

English - What To Say After You Say "Hello" - Fluent English Conversation Series - Duration: 5:07.

One of the most common questions that I get asked is "What to say after I've said 'Hello'"?

What do foreigners talk about?

By foreigners, they mean English speaking people like me.

And often times students don't really know what to say.

They don't know what is acceptable or they are afraid of making a mistake

and so they get embarrassed and get nervous

and then don't try to speak English because

they are going to make a mistake.

So I have some ideas to help if you are one of the those people.

One is to understand that making mistakes in a new language

is always going to happen, but to keep on trying.

The second thing is to think about what are the most

common topics that you discuss in your own language

So for me as an American, when you see someone, its "HI HOW ARE YOU? I'M FINE! HOW ARE YOU?

after that we are going to talk about day to day things

the weather we talk about sports

about traffic television shows

what's going on the news hobbies

where we have been traveling

how are things going at work

and that's the same for everybody in the world

we all talk about these things

What I suggest that you do is think about

those common topics and write down what you think

about them in your own language

and find a way to roughly

translate this into English.

You'll look up words like for the weather

sunny or if it's hot you can say, "It's very hot!"

or go to a higher level of English by saying

"It's broiling outside!"

or "It's roasting outside!"

or something like that and then put those

in a sentence and practice them out loud.

Practice the sentence.

If you have a tutor or teacher you work with

you can practice this sentence and

and you can also practice this in front of the mirror

or by filming yourself on your smartphone

or whatever or practice with a friend.

And once you are confident in saying that

then you can construct a whole bit of conversation

about it and

if you can do that, you will get over the nervousness

of not knowing what to say,

because you'll have something to say that is relevant

on the topics that I just mentioned or whatever else is useful for you.

Just for example: I went into a government office today here in Thailand

One of the clerks said to me in English,

"What have you been up to these days?"

I thought "Well, that's a very well memorized

correctly pronounced English phrase that this

woman said so I just started talking in English

and then I tried to say it in Thai.

But what a great entree or beginning for a conversation

that was so I asked her "Where did you learn that?"

She said, "I learned it on the Internet as a way

starting someone else to talk and then I

I said "OK, and what have you been up to these days?"

And she very cheerfully told me that she had been shopping for some fabric

because she likes to make certain traditional

Thai clothes called a sarong and then

she showed me pictures of what she had done and it was really beautiful.

she showed me pictures of what she had done and it was really beautiful.

and fabric. I got to know a little about this clerk

in the government office because she had

memorized a phrase that allowed her to start a conversation.

So I'm going to do a series of videos about what

to say when you don't know what to say something in your own language, a common topic,

and give examples of how you can go from

something in your own language, a common topic,

and put it in English and use that to start a conversation.

I think this will help.

Please subscribe to these videos and you can see the link on this video

o the next videos all about this because is how you can start

interesting conversations and learn about the clerk

at the government tax office

and she designs clothes, that was really interesting to learn about.

That's how you make a new friend!

So please subscribe and follow these videos and thank you for watching!
