Van Jones Says Clinton Days Are Over, Centrism Has To Stop - Duration: 3:44.

On the Sunday morning talk shows this past weekend, CNN commentator Van Jones made it

absolutely clear that the Democratic Party has to move beyond the days of Clinton, both

Hillary and Bill Clinton.

Specifically, Van Jones called out the fact that the Clinton Administration and Democratic

policies basically since the Clinton Administration had thrown black people under the bus with

their calls for prison reform, mass incarcerations, and they threw workers under the bus with

NAFTA and other disastrous trade deals, and the Democratic Party's overall embrace of

corporatism since the days of Bill Clinton.

Now, this analysis by Van Jones, not only is it 100% spot on, it's something that the

Democratic Party needs to hear.

It's something that Bernie Sanders hit on again and again during his campaign, and it's

something that a lot of Democrats refuse to acknowledge as reality.

There's too many progressive pundits out there right now saying that we still need to be

a little bit moderate.

We need to work with Republicans, not against them, and here's the kicker, a lot of them

out there are comparing the progressive wing of the Democratic Party to the Tea Party,

saying that they're just as dangerous to the Democratic Party.

Listen, the Democratic Party in the 20th Century became the party of working class America

by fighting against corporate interest and making sure that workers and average citizens

and the underclass were completely taken care of so that they didn't slip further into poverty

or fall into these horrible health crises.

That's what the Democratic Party built.

It began earnestly with FDR and continued on since then until the days of Bill Clinton.

That's when the party shifted a little bit more to the center.

It happened again with Barrack Obama even though he promised us hope and change.

He brought us nothing but liberal corporatism.

That's why the party is in the situation that it is today.

What massive gains has the Democratic Party had since the days of Bill Clinton?

Sure, we elected the first black president, and then what?

Then what happened to American workers, to America in general?

No huge progressive gains as a result of President Obama.

All of the gains that have been made over the last recent years were through voter powered

initiatives at the local and state level.

The Democratic Party needs to take a page out of these local playbooks because those

people actually understand that progressivism wins, progressivism is popular with both Democrats

and Republicans, and when you keep corporations, corporate influence out of it, you can achieve

great things.

That's what Van Jones was talking about, that's what Bernie Sanders has been talking about,

and that's what the entire Democratic Party needs to wake up and realize if they want

to remain relevant in today's political culture.

Fr. Sophrony giving candies to a child - Duration: 1:45.

He [Fr. Sophrony Sakharov] used to say: "I'm afraid of children."

What was this fear?

"The fear lest I should hurt the child in his fragility, being still in formation…"

And as His Grace Hierotheos recounted, he used to give chocolate and candies to children.

He had his own style: he liked to lift the candy up

and determine the child to jump for it…

When the child got used with this game,

he asked him: "how do you want it, down or up?"

And the child said: "up, up!"

And then he gave it in that way…

And after the child had jumped 2 or 3 times, he let it down, to make it appear like the child actually won it.

He used to say two things:

if a priest gives a candy to a child, this is a lesson of theology,

the beginning of the theological formation of that child.

Second: it is good to perform tricks like this,

so the child knows that if he wants something, he needs to do an effort.

Yes, an effort… But the child liked it…

When he asked him: "how do you want it, down or up?"

The child said: "up, up!"

And this led the child not only to make an effort,

but actually to love this effort...

If Aristotle Was A Valley Girl - MGTOW - Duration: 2:37.

So, like, all the stuff that you do, and, you know, things that you want, are, like,

you do them, because something good is going to happen.

And because like, people think good things are going to happen, they like, say, that

all the stuff we do we, like, do for good.

But, umm, there are like differences between the stuff that happens when you do one sort

of stuff, and you do other sorts of stuff.

Sometimes, like, when you do something, you only did something, and, you know, other times,

like, you do stuff, and by doing it, you made something.

So, the stuff you made, like, is better than the stuff you do in making it.

So, like, when that bitch Jessica, who is a total slut by the way, makes those stupid

bracelets, umm, those bracelets are, like, better than all that stuff she does to make

them.

But, you know, there are like all sorts of different stuff you can make and do, so, like,

there are like different things you do them for.

But sometimes, there are like, bigger things you want to do, but like you need to do a

lot of little things first, and, you know, the bigger thing is why you do them.

So, oh my God, let tell you, like, when us girls do our hair, and we do our nails, and

go shopping, we do it, to, like, look fabulous.

So, looking fabulous, is like the reason we do all that stuff and so all the other reasons

are, like totally less important than looking fabulous.

Cos like, we do out hair and nails not cos like we want great hair and nails, but, like

totally to look fabulous!

So, the bigger reason, you know, we do stuff for, it like more important than the smaller

reasons we do stuff for.

So being fabulous, is like more important that having awesome hair, even though, you

know, you need awesome hair to look fabulous.

But, if like, we do our hair to look fabulous, then there is like a reason why we want to

look fabulous.

And, duh, there totally is a reason for why we want to look fabulous.

But, like, oh my God, there can't be, like reasons for reasons why we want to look fabulous,

cos like, then we wouldn't like know why we do stuff.

I mean, as if, can you imagine?

So, there totally has got to be a reason we do stuff we do for like no other reason.

And that like, makes total sense, you know?

And that betch Jessica, she was like, "umm, we totally do stuff cos, like, umm, we want

to feel pleasure."

And I was like, umm, whatever betch!

Not even, like you can do stuff, for not like pleasure but like cos you don't want to

be ignorant and stuff.

Cos like, you want to do stuff for pleasure but then like there is a reason why you want

pleasure.

And so, I was like "umm, we do stuff cos we want to be happy" and like, there is

totally no reason why we want to be happy other than like to be happy.

So like, totally, oh my god, we like do everything cos, like we want to be happy.

Like Seriously.

7 Features That Turn People Off - Duration: 3:59.

Relationships are hard, with one researcher at Stanford finding that more than 60 percent

of relationships don't survive the first year.

But why?

Are you accidentally chasing people away with your behavior?

We spoke to relationship experts to find out the truth behind seven features that turn

people off.

Rudeness

It's common sense that being rude to a date isn't going to get you very far, but being

rude to other people doesn't gain you any points, either.

Jessica Small, a licensed marriage and family therapist and dating coach, says rudeness

to people around you can be a big turnoff to potential partners.

"This can be anything from being rude to a server, to not holding open the door for the

people behind you.

Men especially tend to seek out kindness in their partner as a desirable characteristic

and will turn away from perceived rudeness."

Narcissism

There are few things less appealing than a person who thinks they can do no wrong, so

take the advice of licensed marriage and family therapist Dr. James Huber and, well, just

don't be that person.

"Perhaps it's a reflection of our grow ing love affair with selfies, but people who have

an inflated sense of self-importance and a high need for attention and admiration often

become more infuriating than endearing to others."

Lack of empathy

There's a lot to be said for understanding someone else's feelings, or at least trying

to.

Author and divorce coach Rosalind Sedacca said that "A huge turnoff in most relationships

is a lack of empathy…

Those who don't show empathetic behavior are usually more self-righteous, self-absorbed

and less likely to apologize or take responsibility for their behavior.

They make for more difficult relationship partners and demonstrate less emotional maturity

as well."

"We're not communicating!"

"I don't even know what you're saying right now."

Emotional instability

Many people say they're looking for someone who isn't afraid to show their emotions, but

licensed psychologist Dr. Iris Pachler says too much emotion can be a problem, too.

She names emotional instability as a trait that quickly turns many people off.

"Emotional instability is usually displayed as an intense emotional experience, followed

by behavior that leads to interpersonal issues, such as lashing out verbally, physically,

or through manipulations.

Such dramatic displays can feel controlling and push people away."

Being a bore

It's not always easy to find things to say on a date, especially if you're nervous.

But clamping down and not being a part of the conversation can be just as bad according

to licensed marriage and family therapist and dating coach Jessica Small.

"Answering questions with one to two words or not being willing to share some of the

exciting or adventurous things you've done in your life can create a perception of 'nice

but boring.

It's important to make a memorable impression on your dates by giving enough information

so the other person has some understanding of who you are and what you like to do."

Not being attentive

That cellphone that's always in your hand may be the reason you haven't your perfect

match, says April Davis, owner and founder of LUMA.

"This may seem like a no-brainer, but in today's world of mobile devices, constant technology

distractions, and short attention spans, I meet many people that would like to find love

that can't seem to live in the moment.

Being present and attentive is the easiest, most sure-fire way for people to find you

attractive.

Learn to listen, make eye-contact, and ask questions!

If someone can visibly see that you are interested in them, they are much more likely to reciprocate."

Not being appreciative

"Thank you" is a phrase that many seem to take for granted, but the words are important

according to Blue Pearl Therapeutic founder Gabriela Galvan de Antillon.

"One feature that turns partners off is when they feel unappreciated by their loved one.

That all the acts they do are looked over, or are now just expected as standard without

some recognition."

It doesn't take much to show appreciation, but even a little bit can go a long way.

Skype Counseling Therapy Service - Duration: 3:54.

Skype Counseling Therapy Service 010417.mp4

Welcome.

My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional online therapist specializing in mindfulness

therapy.

This Skype therapy counseling service is really designed to help you work with your emotions

using techniques of mindfulness therapy that I developed many years ago now and that I

talk about in my book "The Path of Mindfulness Meditation.

Mindfulness therapy is immensely effective, especially for anxiety and for depression,

as well, where the principle cause of the emotion is reactive thinking.

It's habitual reactive thinking or rumination that simply feeds the anxiety or depression

in the same way that throwing wood on a fire feeds the fire and prevents the fire from

burning itself out.

So reactive thinking is one of the principal things we must change if we want to get over

anxiety or depression we do this by building a relationship with our emotions.

We learn to meditate on our anxiety or depression or any other emotion for that matter.

We build a relationship in which we cultivate consciousness, conscious awareness, so that

we stay conscious and are able to prevent the mind from becoming overwhelmed by the

reactive thinking.

We can see thoughts without becoming lost in those thoughts.

This requires training that will not happen automatically but it will happen if we make

the choice to train ourselves to remain independent in relationship to our thoughts.

So this is a very important part of mindfulness therapy that I offer during these Skype counseling

therapy sessions.

We learn how to sit with our emotions.

This prevents them growing, essentially, it prevents the emotions feeding in the same

way that that fire fed when we put more fuel onto it.

If we stop feeding our anxiety or depression with reactive thinking then those emotions

will begin to subside and burn themselves out.

And in then this way we are actually creating a new pathway in the brain through which those

emotions gradually lose strength and resolve themselves.

So reactivity simply strengthens the emotions, but non-reactivity activity weakens the emotions

and allows them to dissipate and diffuse.

If you want to learn more about the Skype counseling therapy service that I offer simply

go to my website and then EMAIL ME and we can schedule a Skype therapy session.

Thank you.

No. 80 | 3 Creepy TRUE Stories | Slumlocker - Duration: 12:03.

so this happened when I was about nine

or ten probably nine

this isn't relevant but i'm a girl I

thought nothing of it at the time and

only really realize the creepiness year

later for context my neighborhood back

then was pretty safe

it still is and we have a security alarm

but only left it on that night

I've gotten home from school and had

spent an hour or so on my computer so

whats around three or four pm and I was

home alone

my dad was at work my mom and my brother

were grocery shopping the desk that had

the laptop was next to an arc way which

led to the dining room which had a wine

rack which my siblings and I never

touched hearing we somehow break the

wine bottles and a wardrobe / cabinet

thing which had other alcohol in it and

Vulcan sake which my siblings and I also

never touch since we thought alcohol

with gross the cabinet wardrobe thing

was right next to the art way closer to

the laptop so i was playing on a laptop

and glanced at the dining room and

noticed the wardrobe cabinet door is

wide open

I think nothing of it until I glanced at

it again looked down and noticed a pair

of bare feet the cabinet door closes at

a woman of standing there mentally

twenties and I distinctly remember her

looking pretty and she had reddish hair

she notices me and looking and smiles at

me and stops rummaging through the

cabinet i had just gotten the puppy who

was very fluffy and adorable and social

when she stopped I notice she's holding

my puppy saying how cute he is and how

she wishes she had a dog i agree with

her and then I

are you one of my mom's friends because

sometimes they babysat my siblings and I

she responds no while cooling over my

puppy

there's a silence that she puts him down

and wanders over to me and lays down she

walks away and I continuously follower

and notice

add the steps at the door she was using

the leave for several bottles of

different alcoholic drinks

I thought that was weird but since I

really went to the cabinet I didn't

recognize the bottles hours i thought

that was weird and one back to playing

on the computer

my moment brothers come back and my mom

asked me how my day was

and I tell her about the lady my mom

kind of freezes trying not to freak out

i think I didn't tell it the lady took

anything because I didn't know the stuff

was ours

she is how she got in and I tell my mom

that I think she got into our garage

door because that's how she left i

mentioned she had some alcohol bottles

with her my mom which to me at the time

was acting weird tells me with a serious

freaked out look on her face to lock the

garage door next time and don't let

strangers in etcetera

she knew i didn't let the lady in but I

guess she was freaked out that someone

was in her house with her kid later like

a few days my mom tells me who the lady

was apparently our next-door neighbor

have a 20 something-year-old alcoholic

daughter and she came to them asking for

alcohol and money and they said no she

came into our house to get her fix a

year or so later when someone was asking

me about my dog suddenly thought about

that and got freaked out about how

easily she could have taken from me

this happened 1971 or 1972 my mom was

about 14 or 15 years old

the incident occurred in a heavily

wooded area near montebello Alabama

close to Birmingham my mother is the

oldest of five children she has three

sisters and a brother who is the plot

baby of the family all weekend in the

cooler months of the fall

my grandfather decided to take the whole

family my grandmother my grandmother and

all my aunts and uncles so seven people

total into the woods for target practice

with a rifle a mother grew up quite poor

and they didn't always live in the best

neighborhoods so my grandfather want to

teach the kids how to defend themselves

with the rifle if need be

like I said it was later in the fall so

the trees repair in there were lots of

leaves on the ground the wooded area was

just offered their road so this is was a

fairly rural area they weren't since it

was so far off the beaten path

my grandfather became startled when he

heard the war of a car engine so deep in

the woods my mom remembers the car as

being a blue ford galaxie despite the

fact that my grandfather had a gun he

totally freaked out and told my grandma

and the kids to hide under a pile of

leaves in the woods he had with them

the man in the driver's seat gato drag

the woman's body out of the car and just

dumped her there in the woods and drove

away at my grandfather was sure the man

had gone everyone came out of hiding and

the woman setup stared them straight in

the face

my grandfather asked the woman if she

needed help she said no she would be

fine

she didn't seem to be injured or

obviously didn't help

she hadn't put up a fight with the man

when he dragged her out of the car she

must have known him so my grandfather

cut the shooting lesson short and

decided to rush the kids home to safety

well on the trail back to the dirt road

for my grandfather had parked the car

they passed the man in the blue for

galaxy driving into the woods

my mom looked over and notice that he

had a huge machete laying across the

front seat right beside him

my grandfather made sure that the man

could see that he was carrying a rifle

but everyone was careful not to give

away what they had just seen the manse

struck up some small talk with my

grandfather asked him how he was doing

what they were doing out in the woods

my grandfather explain them we had just

taken the family out for some target

practice with the rifle

the man told them to have a nice day and

continue driving the next day my

grandfather went back out to that spot

in the woods there was not a body there

however he did find the woman's wake her

purse or Kleenex and a pair of guy

glasses he collected the items and took

them home according to my grandfather

that area of the woods was known for

having shallow graves and being a

dumping site for bodies weather became

hysterical when he walked into the door

carrying that stuff she started

screaming he killed that lady he killed

that lady my grandfather ended up taking

the item to the police station but my

mom doesn't think anything ever came of

it

she never heard anything else about it

after that well she did hear one thing

about it I guess

early the next morning my grandmother

called my mom when she arrived at work

just before the kids left for school she

told them not to take the bus that day

that she will come home and pick them up

and drive them to school my mom asks why

my grandmother said because that car is

waiting for you at the bus stop

about two months ago me and my friend

run a coach back to our hometown

actually she came with me to London to

look at the University our coach ends up

being delayed so on a late one evening

at about 945pm you look pretty tired

after getting up at 5am to get to London

so she asked the man behind her if she

can recline your seat a bit as there was

no one in the seat next to him and he

agrees we both fall asleep sort of on

the coach and suddenly she wakes up

panicking

she tells me that the guy behind keeps

filling up her back through the cap made

by her reclining chair I told her my

half a sleep state he probably did it by

accident and to go back to sleep

about 20 minutes later she's repeatedly

whispering my name to get my attention

straightaway look at the gap between our

two seeds and his hand is there i put my

head in the gap and stared at this dude

dead in the eye and made it clear not to

touch her again and then put her seat

forward position myself so I was

covering the gap between the seat now

i'm wide awake as he was sat in the seat

directly behind me and it was dark

outside

i was able to see his body in the

reflection of the window without seeing

his face meaning he couldn't see me

watching him i said to him for about 20

minutes before thinking he would have

got the picture by now I turned and put

some music on and get my friend the

headphone so she feels better

sometime later I feel a pull on my seat

straightaway look at the reflection and

see this too is holding on to my seat

and is peering over the top of it

I leaned forward and he catches me my

eye in the window he sat down straight

away and tried to style it out

pretending he was adjusting the overhead

aircon I put my head between the gap is

stare at him for about 20 seconds so he

knows not to try anything again at this

point my friend is getting really

stressed and upset I talking loud enough

for him to hear and reassure him that I

won't let him do anything again put

myself back covering the cap

about 20 minutes later she freaks out

again she starts shouting at this man

and i see that he has moved seats and

has put his hand on the outside of two

seats this time I'm not having it

anymore and turn around and tell him to

leave my friend the fuck alone raising

my voice he just leaned back and

pretended to be asleep unfortunately

some guys on the coach were drunk or

being loud so no one heard shouting

towel for help about another hour into

the journey we all had to get off the

coach because of a mix-up and get a taxi

back to our hometown we stand up and get

off the coach away after staring at the

man and making sure he wasn't behind us

we told the coach driver when it

happened and requested he didn't put us

on a coach with him but the man had gone

at this point i ended up getting a taxi

back with one of the drunk eyes on the

coach and his girlfriend both of which I

knew small world

[Subbed] Bleach Musical Backstage - Dark of the Bleeding Moon Special Disc Part 2/2 - Duration: 9:39.

In that case, I was always late for school.

Alright, I should get going.

>Be careful on your way to school!

Here I go..!

>Stay safe.

YESH!

>Stay safe.

Hello.

Portraying Kuchiki Byakuya, I'm Hayashi Shuuji.

Or as most of you prefer to call me by.."Osamu-chan".

I have a younger sister. Thank you for calling her by her beautiful name, Rukia.

>Eh? But aren't you being called "leaf beetle" nowadays?

Indeed. I've been called "Leaf Beetle Osamu" recently.

Seriously, my name is Hayashi Shuuji.

Address me by my proper name, for I wish to present a serious and dignified Kuchiki Byakuya for everyone.

Thank you for your understanding.

Osamu-chan, it's time. Let's go, let's go!

Oh, right, okay!

Ahh, I forget to wear my pants.

Was that alright to be filmed?!

For tonight, let's welcome Tachibana-san, who has always taken great care of me.

And Katou-san, who couldn't win a fight even once against my Zangetsu.

What kind of lousy introduction was that!

As introduced so graciously,

I'm Tachibana "Bani".

I've been thinking long and hard over what to say for tonight,

thus, I wasn't paying much attention to my dancing just now.

And upon seeing my wrong dance step, Katou-kun said to me,

"I saw that."

"Bani,"

"I know I'm good, but stop copying me."

Please continue to guide me!

Hello, everyone. As introduced so graciously,

I'm Katou Manabu. Please take guidance of me.

Wait, don't grow silent just like that..

Osaka's...

everyone.

I'm speechless.

Anyway, how was our performance?

>What has that got to do with you?

How was my performance?

>Alright, that's enough! That's enough!

Thank you very much!

Yonba-san, Shinohara-san, and Yoshi-san, please!

As introduced, I'm Shinohara.

Thank you very much.

I had much anxiety before tonight's performance,

but I'm glad it all went well,

with the help of a superb crew and a wonderful audience.

Even if things seem hard, they'll still turn out fine.

>Be careful of the mic! Don't break the mic! The mic's in the way!

Well, that kind of feeling, you know? Just as Katou Manabu says, "If you strive to have fun, nothing can remain a hassle."

I wish to live to that.

Thank you once again.

Today, on the way to becoming a star,

I have made my debut.

Thank you for all your support thus far, and in the future.

Working with the Bleach cast members, I could clearly observe "teamwork",

and learn first-hand how positive it could influence a working environment.

I am really happy and honoured to be able to be part of this production, working with such colleagues.

Thank you so much.

First time meeting you. I'm Iwashita.

Well, I've heard Osaka is densely populated, but upon seeing such a big audience tonight,

I estimate there must be at least 120 millions people here.

>How could that have fit in here!

Well, but it feels about right.

I am very grateful that each and every one of you has come.

Next, we'll be going over to Tokyo.

Please feel free to come watch our performances more than once.

Thank you very much.

A really honest and disciplined worker,

practicing more than everyone else since the very first of days,

and always punctual,

Saito Kumiko-san!

Please take the stage!

I'm Saito Kumiko, playing the role of Hinamori Momo.

I'm really grateful to all the staff, audience, and cast members for the support they've given me.

It's boring to hear me talking.

So, today, let's invite Aizen-taichou to say something interesting instead!

>Mind you, if it's not interesting, we'll beat you up.

>Well, after all, Momo has especially recommended you!

>I mean, this is all an act, right? You must have surely heard of this.

..I'm sorry, but I didn't know about this.

>Come on! You can do it!

..Wait, wait. What am I supposed to do?!

>Please do your best!

Okay.

>Maybe we should change to another person.

Interesting things to say..?

Urm..

Working in the Theatre: School of Rock - Duration: 15:02.

[music]

If you want to perform, you gotta follow these rules; you have to practice a lot, because

without practice you can't really go far.

You cannot look out into the audience, it's tempting, but you cannot do it because then

the audience feels kind of weird.

Plus, they're not in the scene.

Third, you have to build up your self confidence before you go onto the stage.

Even if you're playing somebody timid, like Lawrence, it takes a lot of guts to project still.

You can't whisper everything, or else the audience won't understand anything that you're saying.

[Over speaker system] Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, or evening, which it is.

It's seven o'clock, this is your half hour call.

At this evening's performance...

[continues]

[chatter]

I started off playing with my ukulele at an audition, and then they're like, "Oh, cool, great.

Bring your bass next time." and I'm like, I don't really play the bass, this must

be a mistake.

And then my dad's like, "Oh, maybe we should go to Guitar Center.

It's a good excuse to get a bass."

And then I learned Teacher's Pet for the next audition, then I kept getting callbacks

and then I got the role.

I had to send in a video audition because they wanted me to come out here in three days

and I'm from Portland, Oregon, so that was kind of hard.

And then after that for my two callbacks I had to fly out for both of them and we did

dance calls and singing calls.

[chatter]

[vocal warm-ups]

For my ninth birthday, my dad finally got me a singing lesson; I've always begged

him for it.

I actually auditioned for the original cast, didn't make it in then, but then I got a

manager and got a little older and I auditioned, not too long ago, actually.

[vocal warm-ups]

When I started with musical theatre, I found out that I wasn't very good at dancing and

acting, so I took lessons appropriate to my weaknesses.

[show lyrics]

Thank you, young rockers!

The first time I ever played on a stage, it was for my class at lunch.

They had a talent show and I just went on and I never had stage fright.

And now, instead of at a lunch meeting, I'm playing in front of fifteen hundred people

and it feels the same.

I just pray to God before I go on stage and I don't think about the audience because

the audience isn't really there right now when we're performing, it's just us in the classroom.

You're just kind of in the moment and if I'm in another role, if I'm a different

person, I feel like I'm not nervous.

When I get on stage, I feel this thing called "the rush", which is the excitement and

the fear mixed up together that creates this magical sensation in your body,

which makes it feel like play time.

Because it's what you love.

My routine every day is I get up, go to the shower, go to Starbucks, get my tea for my

voice and then I'll come to tutoring or I'll go to school and then after that I

do the show and then after that, I'll practice my guitar and go to sleep.

It's basically eat, music, sleep, repeat.

A lot of the kids are home schooled, a lot of the kids go to brick and mortar school,

so it really depends on the kid.

Right now I'm home schooling but a lot of kids are doing online school or going to school

so we're all on different schedules.

My mom works at the middle school and she's sending me the work that they're doing in

class and I just do it at home.

I go to a brick and mortar school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays but on Wednesdays,

we have an earlier show so we come here to do our work with our tutors.

For every day of school they miss, they're required to do three hours of schooling.

They come in to school for three hours and then go right to the theatre.

In rehearsal, sometimes it's crazy because they have to rehearse all day; they have a

day of rehearsal and we have to fit school in.

So sometimes they'll do an hour of school, two hours of rehearsal, take a lunch, then

an hour of school, then two hours of rehearsal.

The good thing about most of these kids is they're very good individual workers and

they understand that part of their job is school.

If they don't do the school part, they can't do the Broadway part.

It's illegal.

The difference between going to a real school and what I do now, just doing work at home;

it's a lot different because I don't need to wake up at a certain time, which is awesome

but also, I'm not around other kids, which is sometimes really weird.

I'd rather go to regular school.

You actually have your friends there; like I'm just by myself, just doing my work.

At my old school, since I was in elementary, we got to do recess and I'd hang out with

them all the time but it's different now.

These kids are very much forced to be adults, even though they're kids.

So they have a lot of responsibility, so we really try to make sure that they can connect

with kids their own age and relate to each other about how it is to do this kind of stuff

together.

Before I moved here, I lived in California and it's a big change from the beach to

a big, busy city.

I also left my mom, brother and sister back in California.

I'm living here with my dad so I was nervous about that, but I did it.

My mom and my other two little sisters are back home in Oregon 'cause they still have

to do school and my mom has work, so my dad and I are here right now.

But I miss them all the time, they miss me.

But we FaceTime every day and my family's really cool about it.

When I got involved in this job, Joann Hunter asked me to be the assistant dance captain,

and I don't have actually any formal dance training.

She asked me primarily because of the children and making sure they know I'm someone they

can go to if they need anything on stage, off stage, it doesn't matter.

I'm there for them.

[chatter]

They are in an age group where they're really in the epicenter of growing up, so they're

curious, they're sometimes confused and it feels so rewarding to ever be able to answer

any of their questions.

[dance instructions]

They bring such a fresh energy every single day; it's like you never really know what

you're going to get.

There's just this energy in the building that they put off that is so exciting.

[All shouting] Five, six, here we go!

As an adult, we have a totally different life.

We have to put most of the money that we make away in different places and pay bills and

that kind of thing.

These children have no concept of that.

They're not there for the money.

I don't even think of it as work, really.

I love doing it every day so I don't think of it as oh, I'm going to work.

I think of it like, yay!

Going to work!

Another day to just jump around on stage!

[dance instruction]

It's so cool to be on a stage and all of your thoughts clear, you don't have to worry

about school or anything you have in the real world.

You're just in this moment.

[dance instruction]

The most fun part of the day is, well, there's two times.

Walking in front of the theater and seeing my picture up just makes my heart melt every

time I see it and after the show when I walk out and I'm doing signatures; that was once

me in that line, waiting to get signatures and now I'm the one giving out the signatures.

A lot of the kids either get too tall or they outgrow the part.

I'm leaving in November.

It's very hard to do eight shows a week but I've had such a fun time.

It's been a great experience for me, hanging out with these awesome kids every day and

I feel like I've made life-long friends.

[Ensemble singing] When the world has screwed you and crushed you in its fist, when the

way you're treated has got you good and pissed; there's been one solution, since

the world began!

Don't just sit and take it!

Stick it to the man!

That movie, School of Rock, made me play guitar.

I've never been an actor, but now I am and they taught me how to sing better and act better.

And maybe, who knows?

Maybe I'll be a Broadway star one day.

[Ensemble singing] Rant and rave and scream and shout and stick your middle finger out!

And wreck your room and rip your jeans and show 'em what rebellion means!

[Singing] Why march in someone else's caravan?

Especially those you're so much cooler than?

[Ensemble singing] Stick it to the man!

Stick it to the man!

Stick it to the man!

Stick it to the man!

Stop Jeff Sessions From Becoming U.S. Attorney General | #StopSessions - Duration: 2:06.

Mr. Sessions is a throwback to a shameful era,

which I know both black and White Americans

thought was in our past.

America incarcerates more people than any other country on Earth.

57% of those arrested on drug charges

are Black or Latino,

even though White people use and sell drugs at the same rate, or even higher than people of color.

We have to do everything we can to stop Sessions.

Jeff Sessions represents my state, Alabama,

where more than 31 percent of all black people

are denied the right to vote.

Jeff Sessions was fine

with the terrorist hate group The KKK

until he learned that they smoke pot.

I may have said something like that.

Send that message with clarity

that good people don't smoke marijuana!

Marijuana is a leading cause of deportation.

My father was a legal, taxpaying resident

who was deported. Jeff Sessions will destroy more families.

I have an 18-year-old son

who plays the trumpet and loves math.

It's not fair that I have to worry about his life

every single day because he's a young black man

who is a stop-and-frisk target.

Jeff Sessions is one of the

scariest possibilities that I was afraid of.

Jeff Sessions wants to ramp up the drug war

that costs us $50 billion a year,

and yet most Americans believe that it has failed.

He is, I believe, a disgrace

to the Justice Department and he should

withdraw his nomination and resign his position.

Jeff Sessions is simply unfit.

If you believe in fairness,

if you believe in due process,

if you believe in our constitution,

you must join me in the fight to stop Sessions.

He's been wrong on the drug war,

he's been wrong on criminal justice,

he's been wrong on civil rights and liberties,

and he's wrong on America.

I'm too young to vote,

so I need you to speak for me.

Please Stop Jeff Sessions.

How to get rid of hangover - How to get rid of hangover fast- hangover cure - Duration: 4:31.

How to Get Rid of a Hangover?

"I will never drink again!" is a common phrase heard after someone wakes up after a night

of drinking with a hammering headache and a stomach rolling around like a sneaker in

a washing machine.

Alcohol is a diuretic, which means that it removes liquids from the body.

It is the resulting dehydration that causes most your horrible hangover symptoms.

1.

Drink plenty of water to Get Rid of a Hangover.

The dehydration caused by alcohol consumption needs to be tackled if you are to get rid

of your hangover.

The most straightforward way to re-hydrate yourself is simply by drinking lots of water

when you wake up.

Drinking bland fluids that are easy on your digestive system will help you replace lost

liquid without irritating your stomach.

2.

Drink an isotonic sports drink.

As well as water, an isotonic sports drink can be a very effective way to replace fluids

and give you some much-needed energy.

These drinks contain carbohydrates that release energy slowly, helping you pick up as the

day goes on.

3.

Drink fruit juice to Get Rid of a Hangover.

Another good thing to drink is fresh fruit juice.

The vitamins and minerals will give you a boost.

Fruit juices are generally high in fructose, which is sugar that affects your energy as

well as the functioning of your liver.

4.

Drink ginger tea to Get Rid of a Hangover.

Drinking ginger tea can help to suppress nausea and vomiting.

It is often drunk by pregnant women to help with morning sickness and the same principle

applies for a hangover.

One option is to boil 10-12 pieces of fresh ginger root in about four cups of water and

add the juice of one orange, half a lemon and half cup of honey.

5.

Avoid caffeinated drinks.

Just as you are drinking water and juice to help rehydrate yourself, drinking a lot of

caffeinated drinks, such as coffee, can make you more dehydrated rather than less.

Caffeine also narrows your blood vessels and raises your blood pressure, which can also

exaggerate your hangover symptoms.

6.

Eat some eggs.

Eggs are an excellent thing to eat to combat a hangover.

They contain an amino acid called cysteine, which your body will be very happy to receive

after a bout of drinking.

Cysteine works to break down the toxins that make you feel unwell after drinking.

By helping cleanse your body of these leftover toxins, eggs can help you to feel better,

rejuvenated, and more energized.

7.

Eat food rich in potassium.

When you are drinking you will find yourself making regular trips to the bathroom, due

to the fact that alcohol's a diuretic.

When you are urinating a lot you will lose more potassium than normal.

Lower potassium levels contribute to tiredness, nausea and weak limbs, all symptoms of a hangover.

To tackle this eat foods that are good sources of potassium.

8.

Go back to bed to Get Rid of a Hangover.

Simply put, sleep is the best way to deal with a hangover.

The kind of sleep you get after drinking may involve less of the R.E.M. (rapid eye movement)

state of sleep which provides proper restoration for your brain, so it's important to get

some more sleep if you can.

9.

Take an antacid pill for your stomach.

A common symptom of a hangover is a very delicate stomach caused by high stomach acidity levels.

If you feel nauseous, consider taking an over-the-counter product that can neutralize stomach acid and

tackle feelings of indigestion.

As with the painkillers, there is a risk that these tablets could irritate your stomach,

so be sure the read the package and take as advised.

10.

Take a multivitamin pill.

When you drink alcohol your body will lose a lot of nutrients, including vitamin B12

and folate, that will need to be replenished.

If you're feeling really nauseous, you might not be able to keep a multivitamin pill down.

"Of Love And Latkes" | A Hanukkah Story Read By Susan Stamberg And Murray Horwitz | NPR - Duration: 14:44.

Ava met Yakov on Bingo night at Beth Israel Senior Center.

She helped him find the words on the board and they got to talking.

Yakov had lost his wife, Clara, a few months before.

Ava had been a widow for five years.

They discovered they were both from the same region in the Ukraine and had lived in Brooklyn

for about the same length of time.

Yakov had food stains on his shirt and old tissues stuffed in his pocket.

But what really got to Ava was a pitiful margarine sandwich Yakov extracted from the inside of his jacket.

She asked if he'd like to come over for dinner and he said yes.

It was good to have someone to cook for again.

With Sam, her late husband, they had such wonderful meals.

Cooking had always been a passion, but cooking for Sam was especially satisfying as no one

was more appreciative of her creations than he.

He smacked his lips and licked his fingers, declaring her the best cook in all of Brooklyn

or possibly even the whole of New York.

Now, stirring plump Frikadelki in golden broth, Ava imagined Yakov's exaltations

and her heart expanded.

Yakov arrived with a bouquet of flowers.

He was full of compliments for her apartment – how clean it was, how tastefully arranged.

He examined the photographs of her grown grandchildren, pronouncing them handsome and bright.

He was helpful too, setting the table while she ladled the soup into bowls.

She watched him take a spoonful, then another, gulping the soup down with eagerness that

suggested it pleased him.

But he was oddly silent, no exclamations of delight or words of appreciation.

"How is it?" she asked.

"Em,"

"Thank you very much."

She served the main course – chicken breast with a side of rice and a nice green salad

– all to the same effect.

Yakov consumed his portion with relish but said little more than thank you in response.

After dinner he told her about his childhood as a son of party activists.

How at a very young age he had learned to take care of the house, cleaning and cooking

(mostly noodles) in time for his parents' return.

"You poor thing," Ava said, recalling the homemade delicacies her mother had put out for her.

Yakov smiled at that, "Sometimes I thought so too.

Other times, I didn't mind so much."

They made tea and Ava served dessert.

"I hope you like jam rolls," she said.

"My mother's recipe."

"Em, thank you," was all he gave her.

"Thank you for inviting me," he said when it was time to go.

"Would you like to come again Tuesday?"

"I'll make borscht."

So it went for several weeks.

Chicken soup, meat patties, pierogi with mushrooms and leeks, olfactory memories of life past

permeating her apartment.

"It's been so long since I've done real cooking," she said to Yakov over a plate of pelmeni.

(These are dumplings.)

"It's not fun to cook just for yourself."

"You can cook for me any time," he declared.

She waited for him to say more, praise the quality of the food and her skill as a cook.

He didn't, but nodded enthusiastically when she asked if he'd like some more.

She wondered why he was so tight lipped when it came to her cooking.

He seemed quite capable of complimenting her on everything else.

For someone who'd grown up on noodles, he turned out to be exceptionally hard to please.

Thanksgiving they spent at their children's.

Seizing a quiet moment alone with her daughter, Ava confided her fears.

"What if I'm not as good a cook as I thought I was?

Who knows what he was used to with Clara?"

"It's not the middle ages, Mama.

There's more to relationships than food."

Ava frowned.

Of course food wasn't everything, but it wasn't nothing either.

These days women thought they could get away with take-out and frozen.

What they failed to understand was that a home cooked meal was more than nourishment.

It was family and belonging, a taste of childhood, a kind of love.

She didn't say any of that to her daughter.

Instead she said, "I want my efforts to be appreciated.

Is that so bad?"

"Why don't you just ask him outright what he thinks of your cooking?" her daughter said.

"Or, if you must, ask him if you cook as well as his wife."

"Are you mad?"

"I could never.

I'll just have to try harder, that's all."

She came home determined.

If everyday meals didn't do the trick, surely her specials would.

Upon his return Yakov was treated to her famed brisket and tzimmes.

(That's a kind of a sweet stew with carrots and prunes and some people put meat into it as well.)

Back in the day this very dish had marked a turnaround in her relationship with her mother-in-law.

"You must love my son very much," the matron had said to Ava with tears in her eyes.

If she could melt her mother-in-law's heart, at the very least she should be able to elicit

a word of acknowledgement from Yakov.

"Are you expecting company?"

Yakov said when she uncovered the brisket.

"No, just you."

"Well, this is … thank you Ava," he devoured his portion and nodded when she offered more.

"Good?" she demanded.

"Em," he shoved another forkful into his mouth. "Thank you."

Why won't he just say the word?

"They didn't feed you at your son's house?" she asked.

He seemed not to notice her sarcasm.

"My daughter in law doesn't cook," he explained then added with a chuckle,

"they said I've gained weight since they last saw me."

So now her food was too fattening?

"Did Clara cook low fat?" she inquired, more than a little peeved.

His expression changed.

"No," he said, so miserable she regretted saying anything.

"Eat, eat," she added tzimmes to his plate.

"If it's any consolation, I think you look good."

He smiled, "not as good as you."

She wondered if her daughter was right.

She enjoyed his company and he enjoyed hers.

Wasn't that enough?

But when she tried to let go of it, it wouldn't let go of her.

His refusal to utter anything more than "em" and "thank you" felt unnatural,

as if he was stopping himself from saying something he'd regret.

For days she agonized over her options.

At last, she had an idea.

"Why don't I cook for you at your place this Friday night?" she said to him.

The things Ava could not ask would be revealed once she'd stepped into Clara's kitchen.

A woman's culinary interest, her skill, manifested itself in her work space,

and who better than Ava to pick up on those subtle indicators.

Yakov seemed reluctant at first.

Ava would find it uncomfortable; the kitchen hasn't been used in a while.

Ava dismissed his excuses.

A change in scenery would do them both good, she said and handed him a list of ingredients.

She brought her set of knives and condiments and it immediately became apparent she shouldn't have bothered.

The kitchen was small but surprisingly well equipped.

Blenders, pressers, crushers, an assortment of spices she didn't know the names for

and a long shelf of cookbooks from Bulgarian to Southern French.

The ingredients she had asked Yakov to buy awaited her on the counter.

How plain her planned dinner seemed compared with the grand meals tucked in those pages.

It took all of Ava's strength to put her apron on and start chopping,

each turn of the knife making her wince.

It didn't help that Yakov kept pressing Clara's fancy tools on her,

"See this, it slices the egg just so, and this is for pitting olives."

"I'll do it my way, thank you very much," she wished she could shoo him out of the kitchen

but this was his home, his and Clara's.

At no time since she'd met Yakov did she feel so out of place.

They lit the Shabbat candles and sat down to eat with a photograph of Clara overseeing their dinner.

Clara's pleasant face wore a sad little smile, as if despite her best efforts

things hadn't turned out quite as she'd hoped.

Ava knew exactly how that felt.

She hardly touched the veal and cauliflower.

Long ago this very dish had her daughter's boyfriend returning until he'd finally proposed.

Now it tasted of caustic embarrassment.

"You're not hungry?" Yakov asked with a mouth full of food.

"No."

"You've tired yourself out with all that cooking," he said.

"Why don't you rest on the couch."

She complied, letting him take off her shoes and place her feet in his lap.

"I used to do that for Clara when she got anxious," he said, massaging her heel.

His hands felt good but Ava could not enjoy them.

"I was wrong to come," she said.

"This dinner, it must remind you of Clara."

"Remind me?

No.

With Clara it was different," he glanced sadly at his unfinished plate.

"Completely different."

That was it then, the terrible truth.

No matter how she tried she would always come short.

His eagerness that she'd mistaken for satisfaction was nothing more than a rush to be done with her food.

And she, the fool that she was, kept offering him second helpings!

She got up from the couch.

"I should go," she said, grabbing her coat and purse.

He seemed surprised but didn't try to stop her.

"I'll walk you home," he offered.

"Please don't. I'll be fine."

December wind chilled her all the way home, but she hardly noticed.

Her body was frozen in shame for her arrogance and stupidity.

She had assumed she was giving him something of value when in truth it was an ordeal for him.

He might have thought he was sparing her feelings by keeping silent, but he just made it worse.

He called the next morning.

She didn't pick up.

The day after he left three messages.

The last one sounded quite desperate.

"Call me, please."

She called him.

"Thank God," he said.

"I was about to send in a search party."

"No need, I'm fine."

There was an awkward silence then he said, "Tomorrow is the first night of Hannukah.

I thought we could light candles, eat some latkes.

Not that I want you to cook," he added quickly.

"God knows you've cooked enough.

They sell frozen latkes at…"

"I can make Latkes, Yakov," she cut him off.

"Of course you can," he agreed.

"Should we say five o'clock?"

"Five is fine," she hung up, fuming.

Latkes he wanted to spare her, latkes that she could whip up with her eyes closed and

both hands tied behind her back.

Oh, the wonderful latkes she used to make for Sam: potato and leek, sweet potato and

raisin, zucchini patties and bite sized fried Salmon balls.

Her husband never had to eat the same Latke twice…

But no sooner had she recalled her past achievements, than her gloom returned.

No matter what she did, the memory of Clara's cooking would always hover over Yakov

and her like a bitter aftertaste.

If only she could care less, put a little less soul into her cooking, but that was like

asking her to love with less heart.

She went to bed on an empty stomach.

In her dreams Clara was serving her latkes, golden and fluffy like Ava's mother used to make.

She awoke sore and morose.

By midday, when the time came to start frying, she was perfectly despondent.

She had cut herself twice on the grater, something she hadn't done since she'd learned how to grate.

She had poured too much oil and it hissed and spit, covering her bare arms with tiny burns.

She recalled how long ago when her teenage daughter rejected her cooking, her husband

had tried to console her.

"Sometimes love is knowing what's needed, not giving all you can give," he had said.

She was mad at him for saying that, as if she didn't know her own child, but he was right.

She wanted to make her daughter happy her way, just as she did with Yakov.

When Yakov showed up he found the apartment smoky and Ava in tears.

"What happened? Did you hurt yourself?"

She pointed at a pile of black bottomed latkes, "I was a fool, trying to impress you with

my cooking, when in truth I'm quite mediocre, certainly not as good as your Clara."

He stared at her, speechless, then burst out laughing, so hard she feared he might break a rib.

"Oh God Ava.

I miss Clara, I do, but her cooking," he picked up a scorched latke.

"This is the closest you ever got to Clara's cooking.

Clara was a wonderful, sensitive person but a terrible, terrible cook."

"But all those cookbooks, the tools!"

"She kept trying, hoping it would make a difference. It didn't.

It was her biggest disappointment."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't know I needed to.

Clara was so insecure about her cooking even compliments made her cry.

I learned to say thank you and nothing more."

He took Ava's hand and kissed the inside of her palm.

"I loved every single thing you made for me."

Ava cupped his face in her hands and kissed him for the longest time.

Tomorrow she would make spicy squash latkes to go with the second candle.

She had so much more to give.

Germany: New Years Message by Merkel's Opponent, Dr. Frauke Petry - Duration: 11:49.

Ladies and gentlemen, dear compatriots

2016 will stay in our memories as the year terror came to Germany

We experienced attacks of radical islamists in Würzburg, Ansbach and Berlin

People were taken from us, many others were injured severely

I'd like to wish all those who have lost a loved much strength in overcoming these horrendous events

I wish the injured a swift and preferably full recovery

My thanks particularly goes out to the police officers today, who fight terrorists at the risk of their lives and pursue criminals daily

These officers must carry out their duties according to the will of political decision-makers

whilst being under-staffed and under-equipped

Even so, the police is often put under general suspicion in public

Their actions questioned, even when officers are defending our lives

I would also like to thank all the paramedics who help the injured and victims of crime, not uncommonly risking their own health in the process

I thank all tax-payers, the very people who come up with the necessary billions that finance the consequences of a gigantic political mistake

We consider the limitless immigration policies of the current federal government to be utterly wrong

Even so, I would like to express my recognition to all who, through their work,

first filled the coffers of the state out of which the money is now being distributed so freely without asking the donors

Last but not least, I would like to thank everyone who went to the state elections in 2016

In all states, we had a significantly higher turnout than in the previous years

Germany has not been this politicised in a long time

Many people who had given up and withdrew are now making use of their right to vote again

This is good for the democracy in our country

Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) is often accused of being a party that wants to go back to the past

It depends on which past is meant by that

There was once a Federal Republic of Germany without islamic terror and without exploding crime rates

A past in which a woman being dragged behind a car by a rope would have been unthinkable (see description)

Unthinkable that women and girls would be mass sexually assaulted and raped

There was a time when very few people were scared to openly voice their opinion

A time when we didn't have a state-financed thought police on the internet

A time without a systematic breach of laws by the state

I know that many people long to be back in those peaceful times

We want to make those past times a thing of the future

Dear compatriots, 2016 was a year full of contradictions

On one hand, the so-called "fight against the right-wing" (Kampf gegen Rechts) was conjured up hysterically

Which is, however, increasingly being directed at the mainstream middle class

Simultaneously, it was a year in which we experienced brutal crimes committed by migrants

These violent criminals were let into our country uncontrolled and in violation of our basic law (Grundgesetz)

Of course by far not all migrants are religious extremists or criminals

Many truly did have good reason to flee from their countries

But especially in their interest, it's so important to identify radical islamists, sentence criminals and resolutely deport them

The federal government is failing at this task

Those who point that out are not agitators, not even right-wing populists but simply realists

2016 was a year full of contradictions

I want to remind of facts that were lost in the mainstream news

Greece, despite the billions in monetary gifts, did not recover but is in fact as ill as ever

Just that Germans today must vouch for additional billion Euro loans

2016 was also the year in which the European central bank pursued its fatal zero-interest policy

pillaging the assets of small savers in order to artificially keep the failed Euro alive

2016 was the year in which every last one of us was able to comprehend that the renewable energy policy has failed

The citizens will receive the bill for this from tomorrow onwards, once again energy prices are rising,

Once again billions are distributed from the bottom to the top

In 2016, it became apparent to every realist that Germany and Europe hasn't been this isolated since 1949

The East Europeans as well as the West Europeans are turning away from Germany's special path

Dear compatriots, 2016 was the year in which the political establishment reached new levels of cynicism

The female mayor of Cologne recommended that all women protect themselves from sex attackers and rapists by keeping an arm lengths distance

The chancellor (Merkel) on the other hand recommended playing the flute as a defence strategy against Islamism (see description)

The governments helplessness and also its indifference towards those they govern cannot be illustrated more clearly

2016 however also demonstrated that a change is possible

We were witnesses of a historic event

The election of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States

Even if the political sphere appears immobile, even if the politicians are seemingly firmly established, America has shown it's possible to vote them out

"We want our country back", was Trump's central election campaign message

It was a "declaration of war" against the establishment

Ladies and gentlemen, the Brits also said "We want our country back" some time ago

The election of Trump was, in a way, the American version of Brexit

"We want our country back" is also what many Austrians, French, Belgians and Swedes say

The Zeitgeist ist changing

AfD's (Alternative for Germany) election successes is also proof thereof

We too want our country back

We want it back from the "Merkel government" before she has ruined it with her grotesque politics

We want it back from the Eurocracy in Brussels, which wants an entire continent to submit to their centralised regime

We want it back from the European central bank, which is devaluing our money

We want it back from the clans and gangs who moved here and are terrifying entire neighbourhoods

We want it back from the liberal media landscape that has created a climate of permanent suspicion and moral blackmail

We want to break free from the chains that have made this country forget how to breathe freely

The reasons for the political change in the U.S.A. are being denied by the political class in Germany and also by most journalists to this day

In Western societies, a large rift is dividing the politically correct establishment and the citizens, who fight for their existence by going to work every day

The reactions to Brexit or the election of Donald Trump were more excessive and foolhardy in Germany than in any other European country

It must be a one-off occurrence that a German government leader (Merkel) would want to dictate moral

requirements to the elected U.S. president in order to ensure a future cooperation

Of all things, from a chancellor who made breaching the law her maxim

Germany, as she always likes to say, is a strong country

That's thankfully true

However, Germany is losing more and more of its original strength every year under this chancellor

This strength consists of the diligence of many workers, craftsmen and innovative scientists

Germany remains to be a country of ideas and patents, of inventors and thinkers

2017 will be the year we must refocus on our strength

It's not without alternative that Germany is at this stage merely mediocre when it comes to education worldwide

It's not without alternative that German students know less about math than students in Singapore

That 12 year olds are educated about sexual practices in this country, instead of about poets and a basic knowledge of the sciences

It's not without alternative that the crime rate of immigrants is rising

And its not without alternative that billions of the national wealth is not being spent on German interests

In the coming year, crucial elections will be taking place in Germany and neighbouring countries

Parliamentary elections in the Netherlands, presidential elections in France,

On the 14th of May, the so-called small parliamentary elections in North Rhine-Westphalia

And in autumn, the elections for the 19th German Bundestag

Many people tell themselves "those up there" do what they want anyway

What am I able to change with my vote?

The truth is, there is only one democratic way to stop the establishment from following it's wrong path at our cost

And it's your vote

It's possible to fundamentally change the politics that are harming us

It's possible to defend ones own convictions

It's possible to make Germany go from the madhouse of Europe to a once again respected member of the community

Dear compatriots, what we want is a free Europe of sovereign people, not a Brussels-based central government

The Germany we strive for will be open to all who want to and are able to be active members of a liberal, constitutional society

those who work, do research, invest, learn, teach, create art, or enjoy

and to those who behave in a decent manner

But it's not open to those who pillage this country and its taxpayers, attack or want to missionize

The Germany we strive for will be open to all who integrate themselves,

but not to those who want to live by their own laws and who direct demands at the German society

despite not contributing anything to this society

We strive for a Germany that focuses on its actual potential, the strengths of its skilled workers, engineers, scientists and artists

Unlike a multicultural utopia, this goal is a realistic one and one that is shared by the majority of Germans

The majority of Germans is open and hospitable, not foolish and naive

Dear compatriots, for 2017 I wish you and all of us for it to be a year we can ward off terror

A year in which many things will change for the better, a year of reason

But also a year in which you will hopefully be able to spend more time with your families

Perhaps also a year in which you may rediscover our countries traditions

Let me end with verses from one of the most beautiful German poems, from Berthold Brechts Children's Hymn

Grace spare not and spare no labour,

Passion nor intelligence

That a decent German nation Flourish as do other lands

And because we'll make it better, Let us guard and love our home,

Love it as our dearest country As the others love their own.

I wish you blessed year 2017

Thank you.
