Youtube daily report Jan 13 2017

Luke Harper may not strike you as an exceptionally good wrestler, but trust me when I say he's

so much more than just Bray Wyatt's muscle.

Harper is extremely quick and agile for a man of his size and he's honed his wrestling

skills around the world over many years.

Due to multiple requests, this is Wrestling Origins: Luke Harper!

Jon Huber was born on December 16th, 1979, in Rochester, New York.

For some reason, there is no information that I can find about his upbringing or even schooling.

I don't know if it's because he's just a private person or maybe he just appeared

out of thin air in the late 90's, but there really isn't anything to talk about here

besides this beautiful yearbook picture.

Oh, and he worked as a librarian somewhere along the line as well.

A 6 foot 5, 250+ pound librarian.

Huber first got into professional wrestling by competing as a backyard wrestler.

He worked with his brother and went under the name of Huberboy #2… very creative.

He would begin properly training around 2001 under Kirby Marcos and Rik Matrix in New York.

He made his debut for Roc City Wrestling in late 2002, and by 2003 he began working as

Brodie Lee for Rochester Pro Wrestling.

Brodie Lee would work in multiple smaller independent promotions over the years where

he won Heavyweight championships and tag team titles.

I'm going to cover mainly the bigger independent promotions, but I'll just list off some

of the smaller ones now.

Keystone Championship Wrestling, Upstate Pro Wrestling, Far North Wrestling, and Squared

Circle Wrestling to name a few, as well as a couple matches in the more popular Combat

Zone Wrestling, or CZW.

Let's start with Chikara, where Huber debuted as Brodie Lee in 2007.

He wasn't originally supposed to wrestle that night as he was just visiting some friends

backstage, but after another wrestler didn't show up, Lee was given the opportunity to

get in the ring.

Lee would lose that night, and eventually returned two months later where he defeating

Equinox in a rematch.

Lee would continue working in Chikara, and in April of 2008 he would notably be challenged

by Claudio Castagnoli where the two exchanged wins.

However, Claudio would come out on top in Chikara's first-ever steel cage match.

In late 2008, Brodie would form a stable called The Roughnecks with Eddie Kingston and Grizzly

Redwood.

It's worth noting that Brodie had a trucker gimmick at this time with the nickname "Big

Rig".

The stable would soon become a tag team though, as Kingston moved into a singles feud with

Claudio.

As a tag team, Lee and Redwood would have some success.

They would rack up some wins and eventually got a shot at the tag team titles, but they

were unable to capture the belts, which led to Lee turning on his partner.

Brodie would continue working occasionally in Chikara until 2012, but wouldn't really

make too much of an impact.

Jumping back to 2008, Brodie Lee would have a brief stint in Ring of Honor where he aligned

with The Age of the Fall to help Jimmy Jacobs defeat Austin Aries.

He continued helping the stable, aiding Delirious in his matches as well.

Lee would feud with Necro Butcher briefly, but he would lose.

Also, Delirious would turn on the stable and defeat Brodie in his final ROH match.

In 2009, Lee would debut for Jersey All Pro Wrestling as a part of The Hillbilly Wrecking

Crew with Necro Butcher and Trevor Murdoch.

Lee and Necro would work as a tag team to win the JAPW Tag Team Championships and would

hold them for nearly 6 months.

From there he moved to singles competition.

He was unable to capture the JAPW Heavyweight Championship from Dan Maff, but he would win

the JAPW New Jersey State Championship.

However, he would later on with the Heavyweight Championship and unified the two belts.

At the end of 2011 though, Lee was stripped of his belt after not defending it in nearly

a year.

In 2010, Lee would debut for Evolve at the promotions first ever show where he won a

6-man tag team match.

In Evolve, he would most notably wrestle Jon Moxley to a no contest before kicking a chair

into his face, resulting in a suspension.

Also in 2010, Brodie would debut in Dragon Gate USA in May, and Dragon Gate Japan in

December.

In the US, Lee would work with Jon Moxley, Mike Quackenbush, Rich Swann, and sumo legend

Akebono who he defeated in a singles match.

Over in Japan, Lee would join The Warriors.

The Warriors would quickly turn heel in 2011 and became the top villains in the promotion.

He would work in both promotions until 2011.

On March 12, 2012, Jon Huber signed a developmental contract with WWE.

This came much to his surprise as WWE had repeatedly denied him this opportunity in

the past, but with WWE finally looking for a man of his size, plus the glowing recommendations

of his indie friends Cesaro, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins, Jon landed the contract.

It's also worth noting that Jon had worked in WWE before as an extra almost 20 times,

but was never given a proper shot prior to this.

Huber would make his debut for Florida Championship Wrestling at a house show on May 18th, 2012,

now under the ring name of Luke Harper.

Harper carried his dirty, trucker/hillbilly look with him, as well as that magnificent

beard.

FCW was soon rebranded to NXT, and there he would be paired up with Bray Wyatt as the

first member of the Wyatt Family.

Interestingly, he was introduced first as Bray's son, but that would eventually change

to brother.

Harper would form a tag team with his other brother Erick Rowan, and the two would have

some success.

They nearly won the NXT Tag Team Championship tournament, defeating 2 other teams before

losing in the finals to Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey.

However, they would avenge this loss a few months later when they defeated Neville and

Bo Dallas to win the NXT Tag Team Championships.

They would defend these titles once before losing them back to Neville and his partner

Corey Graves.

In May of 2013, WWE began airing vignettes of the Wyatt Family, and they eventually debuted

in July and attacked Kane.

I've already covered the Wyatt Family's main roster run to the present day pretty

in depth in my Bray Wyatt origins video, so I'm just going to cover the Harper exclusive

stuff here.

In late 2014, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan were set free by Bray, allowing them to transition

to singles competition.

Harper would quickly join Team Authority, spearheaded by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon,

at Survivor Series.

This also landed him a title shot against Dolph Ziggler, who he had attacked to get

the spot.

Luke would defeat Ziggler to win the Intercontinental Championship, his first title in WWE.

Harper would defend his title against Dean Ambrose, but got himself disqualified.

He would then face Ziggler in a ladder match at TLC where he lost, ending his reign at

just 27 days.

After failing to capture it back in a crazy seven-man ladder match at WrestleMania 31,

Harper feuded with Dean Ambrose where he lost in a Chicago Street Fight.

In mid-2015, Harper would once against align himself with Erick Rowan, but Rowan would

suffer an injury.

This led to Luke and Bray getting back together, and soon after their newest member Braun Strowman

would debut.

Jumping forward a bit, in March of 2016 Luke Harper would suffer a knee injury during a

dark match.

The injury was fairly serious and he was out for months, eventually returning to TV at

No Mercy to help Bray Wyatt defeat Randy Orton.

Randy as you know would join up with the Wyatt's after that match, and he and Bray would soon

become the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, also making Luke a champion under the Freebird

rule.

Most recently, Harper and Orton lost the tag titles to American Alpha on SmackDown, and

after the rematch, Luke accidentally superkicked Bray Wyatt after a confrontation with Orton.

And that was Wrestling Origins: Luke Harper.

I know a lot of you have been waiting for this one so I hope you enjoyed it despite

the lack of information on him outside of the ring.

If you have anything to add to the video, then let me know down below.

As always, thanks for watching, and I'll catch you in the next one!

The Google Vocabulary Trick - How To Learn Spoken English - Duration: 10:15.

hi there I'm Drew Badger the world's

number one English Fluency Guide and in

this video I'm going to help you improve

your listening so you can understand

native speakers much more easily with

one simple trick now typically i'll

receive a comment or question from a

learner and they'll give me some phrase

like a whole sentence that they heard

and they're asking me what it means

so in this video hopefully i'll give you

a way of correcting that yourself so

that you don't have to mail a teacher

and say what does this mean when i

received recently was a friend of mine

had food on the brain so someone sent me

this sentence they're talking about like

a friend of mine had food on the brain

so they heard this phrase they heard

this sentence a friend of mine had food

on the brain

now this is an ATM so you're thinking

okay how does this work like what does

that mean a friend of mine had food on

the brain food on the brain

if you don't know this idiom it was

obviously sound quite strange and

interesting to you but before we get

into that let's just look at the phrase

or the whole sentence itself so a friend

of mine had food on the brain and you

can think about this how do i how do i

take this and be able to search it on

google or whatever search engine used so

you have to first break down that

sentence into a couple of pieces and

think about okay what's the part of the

sentence that I don't understand that

maybe I can try to figure out a search

for online so if we think about like a

friend of mine had food on the brain

like a friend of mine so I think I

already know what that means it's just

somebody I know a friend of mine so we

can forget about that part and to have

food on the brain

okay so have food on the brain now i

cant maybe I could search for that so

maybe we forget about the friend part

and just search for having food on the

brain but we might even try to go

smaller than that where we look for on

the brain or to have food on the brain

so maybe research for that if we can't

quite find something we keep making it

shorter and shorter trying to get to the

the colonel the like the smallest bit of

something that we don't understand and

then we can work out from there

so if i look for on the brain what I

find is that it's actually an idiom for

something that I'm thinking about a lot

so when you have something on the brain

it just means

ok like something is on my mind it's

really that it's really the same thing

but people will use I have something on

my mind where I have something on my

brain

so even though mind is more of a mind

would actually be a better idea or a

better way to express it native speakers

will use both so if there's a girl I've

been thinking about for a long time I've

got this girl on my brain I've got this

girl on my mind or if it's a young kid

who's it's cool and he's always thinking

about playing his instrument or playing

some video games he's got his instrument

on the brain or on his mind all the time

now when you're getting something like

this you can again begin with the whole

thing and start making it smaller and

smaller until you get to a part of the

phrase that makes sense but then it's

much easier if you start trying to

connect that thing to something you

already know where to create some kind

of story

so if you think about maybe even your

physical head once you understand what

on the brain means then try to create

that story so either the origin story

that you know because you research that

or because you just created that origin

story in your own mind and again the

story is something that you should be

connecting in English either a visual

thing I've got water on the brain so

literally it's like on on my brain as an

example maybe I'm talking with you and I

say yeah I was like with this girl and

you know we were talking and like I

really like her but maybe she's not

really interested in me so much and i'm

talking talking I'm like wow I've really

got this girl on the brain

now you can think about that like what

is the larger context of that what's the

main idea not really the words I'm

saying but what is the conversation

about some talking about

ok I'm like thinking about a girl i'm

talking about her she's a focus of my

attention she's on my brain so I'm kind

of reviewing that and saying I really

got this girl on my brain

I can't get her out of my head so just

an example obviously you can use it for

like sports or anything or business

whatever it is you're focusing on or

that you can't stop thinking about when

you've got something on the brain now to

make sure this is clear let's try

another one so suppose you here i'm

talking with a friend of mine you know

we were i was going to the wedding and

I'm like describing the wedding story to

him so hey man I went to this wedding

I and you know it seemed like a really

great occasion lots of people were

having fun but right before the ceremony

was about to begin the bride got cold

feet and left so the Brad got cold feet

about the wedding and left so i'm i'm

saying this whole phrase the bride got

cold feet about the wedding so the Brad

got cold feet about the wedding now

maybe if I searched that whole thing I

might find something because this is a

pretty common usage but again if I

understand most of the parts of this and

I understand the whole context

ok maybe like we're talking about a

wedding and like so so I'm describing

things is happening in like a good way

so that like everybody was happy things

were going very well but then the bride

got cold feet about the wedding so I'm

describing something happy and then

using but then as ok now we're going to

introduce something that's contrasting

to that so maybe the opposite situation

so something that's kind of sad so

you're getting clues about what

something might mean so you really have

to listen for these in the conversation

so I got the bride and groom so we

already know about that and about the

wedding we already know like a marriage

or a wedding we already know what that

is so we can forget about those other

things and just focus on searching the

thing that we don't understand which is

to get cold feet so to get cold feet

means that you're having maybe second

thoughts about something or you're

nervous about something typically right

before you have to do it so if I'm going

to get in an airplane and jump out of

that plane to go skydiving maybe I'm

really prepared i'm excited i get on the

plane and no and then when I look out I

get really scared about that and then

maybe I decide not to so I could

describe that is I got cold feet about

jumping out of the airplane so the bride

got cold feet about the wedding I got

cold feet about the jumping out of the

airplane that kind of thing

and speaking of being up in an airplane

i'll give you one more example just to

make sure this is really clear to you

so this example maybe I'm talking with

someone I'm like yeah we're we're we're

trying to decide what we want to do with

the company i said i wanted to do this

and a friend of mine said you know maybe

we should do this other thing we're kind

of up in the air about it

we don't really know what to do now

again again again listen carefully

what's happening in this conversation so

we're describing something like i'm

saying i'm setting the stage i'm

explaining what's happening in our

situation so in this case we've got many

different options or at least two

different options we can use and I could

say something or do something and maybe

somebody else says something else

so this is describing indecision so we

don't know what to do we're trying to

figure out the best way to solve

something or what choice we should make

so I'm describing that and then again i

come back at the end and this is what

native speakers will often do they

explain something in regular everyday

English that most people understand but

then though using adium after that to go

back and kind of recap to to really

explain the whole thing but in a

conversation away time describing

indecision and then i use an idiom that

explains indecision so to be up in the

air about something just means you don't

know what to do

imagine I jump up like I'm holding a

basketball and I like in the rules of

basketball you can't hold the ball jump

up and then come back down again

so if i hold the ball and I jump up i

have to figure out what to do i'm up in

the air i can't come back down i have to

throw the ball to somebody else or it

would be any legal play

so just thinking about that same idea

i've understood the whole the whole

conversation or at least this part of

the conversation and then we say like

we're up in the air about what to do so

like what to do okay that makes sense so

we know that like about what to do yet

where we're focusing on that but the

part I don't understand is up in the air

but if I still don't understand what

that is

I've removed the things from that

sentence that I don't quite understand

and then I can use that to search for

specifically so i go to google and type

up in the air and then typically when

you're searching for something like this

add the word idiom as well so if you're

searching for it like or English phrase

it's a it's much faster that's a quick

tip for you to be able to find things

much more easily typically when you're

speaking with natives or you're just

listening with them you can understand a

lot more than you think you can if

you're just a bit more strategic about

how you think you have to not pay

attention to like the individual words

but first try to understand what's

really happening in the situation

is somebody sad somebody happy are

describing an adventurous situation or

something else and then from that are

they are they explaining something or

using simple things like and so or but

that is going to indicate a change in

that or a continuation of whatever it is

they're talking about and then when you

get to the part that you don't

understand eliminate the pieces of that

that sentence that you do understand and

then you're left with just that one

thing that you can search and remember

to put medium next to that now even if

it's not a medium it doesn't matter but

typically the word medium also helps you

find things much more clearly are much

more quickly and easily when you're

using a search engine for them

well that's it for this video if you

have enjoyed it do click that like

How Bloodborne's Small Changes Make a BIG Difference - Writing on Games - Duration: 10:41.

Hi, I'm Hamish Black and welcome to Writing on Games.

Bloodborne is one of the best games I've ever played, that I don't want to touch

again for a long time.

It's genuinely one of the most oppressive gaming experiences I've ever had.

It legitimately terrified me, it got under my skin.

It's part of why I enjoyed the game so much—as someone who was perhaps getting a little tired

of the Dark Souls formula, the idea that this is a horror game first and a Souls game second

really appealed to me.

What interested me about this was the fact that, on the surface, Bloodborne bears a great deal

of resemblance to a traditional Souls game in terms of mechanics and the ebb and flow

of combat, and yet it in practice it's a drastically different experience, both mechanically

and structurally.

In this episode of Writing on Games then, I want to explore how the versatility of these

mechanics is such that even by slightly altering them, the context under which you play the

game changes entirely.

And it's clear to see that the overall vision is different here.

It's ironic that I started off last year by talking about how Dark Souls is a celebration

of life, because I'm starting off this year by saying that Bloodborne is the complete

opposite.

This is a game about death, about futility, and about your vision of reality collapsing

before you.

What's more, through the game's mechanics, it requires you to face these themes more

closely than any themes in any other Souls game.

That is to say, I can't remember the last time I felt as in control of a game as I did

with Bloodborne.

Even with other Souls games, there's a weight to combat that necessitates a comparatively

measured pace in terms of animations.

As weird as it sounds, the speed at which Bloodborne moves made it feel like every single

movement, every tiny twitch my hands made in my panicked state translated into an on-screen

action that could very well turn the tide of an entire battle.

This sense of consequence for every action is hammered home by the fact that, especially

with bosses, you really don't have much of a choice but to get right in their faces.

This isn't like Dark Souls where you can often take a step back due to the slower nature

of combat—even large, imposing bosses in Bloodborne often move faster than the player

does, and as such they rarely keep their distance.

Not only this, but the much-talked-about health regeneration system actively encourages closing

the gap—you may take some hits, but if you're not in that monster's face like they are

yours, you're losing out on precious opportunities to get that health back.

On top of this, the game forces you to consider resource scarcity whilst dealing with all

of this.

At first I hated the idea that they'd change a healing system that seemed so obviously

perfected in the original Dark Souls, but then I realised it's another small way of

getting the player to ask totally different questions than in a traditional Souls game.

Do you heal just now and guarantee the health back from that hit you just took, knowing

that there's a very real possibility you'll run out of blood vials entirely?

Do you risk attempting a parry, knowing that the only way to get more bullets within a battle is

to sacrifice some health?

It's not a case of backing off and healing, knowing that you'll always have at least

five estus flasks when you respawn.

You're having to make decisions that risk a significant amount of progress should they

not pay off, all whilst perceiving constant enemy movements and attacks in fractions of a second.

It makes for a scenario where there really is no respite—you are constantly in the

thick of it in every encounter and it makes for a wholly draining experience.

It runs totally counter to the idea that survival horror games make the odds feel insurmountable

by giving you slow, clunky controls.

Bloodborne goes the opposite way—giving every minute interaction a great deal of mechanical

significance, constantly placing you teetering on the edge of failure in front of huge, powerful

beasts.

Dark Souls, as every YouTube commentator is quick to point out, is "tough but fair",

but Bloodborne is the first time where the negative consequences of this rule—the player

fucking up—are focused on more than the feeling of accomplishment.

This also carries into the more general structure of the world—if you watched my video on

Blighttown, you'll know that Dark Souls uses elements like the verticality of its

world design to bolster the feeling of accomplishment the player gets after beating a boss.

You struggle through, before usually being allowed to ascend to your reward, sometimes

getting to see exactly how far you've come.

With some notable exceptions, this is a very deliberate means of letting you know that

you're doing alright.

This isn't the case with Bloodborne.

In many cases, after the physical and mental toll the fight takes on you, you're merely

left with merely a dead end.

Hell, for the Wet Nurse, there's a glitch which means the fight isn't recognised as

'finished' for a good few seconds after the health bar has been depleted.

There's nowhere to go—you're just waiting to see if you actually have beaten this boss

or if the game's just going to pull a fast one on you.

Now, of course, this isn't deliberate, but for me felt symbolic of the trial the game

has put me through—it couldn't just let me win.

It just so happens that, after this fight, you return to the Hunter's Dream—

a hub area seen to be a safe haven in other Souls games, to find it totally ablaze.

It's this kind of aggressively macabre mentality that permeated the entirety of my experience with

the game.

As I worked my way through these endlessly grim Victorian streets as opposed to the often

breathtaking vistas of other Souls games, I could feel my resolve giving way.

After being tested by some of the most difficult bosses I've come across and bashing my head

against the dead ends they'd provide me, I'd return to the Hunters Dream, where I'd

somnambulate in a kind of purgatory—this didn't feel like the area of quiet safety

offered by a place like Firelink and, as the end of the game proves, those worries were well-founded.

I searched long and hard for Byrgenwerth, the academy from which everything in the game

centres, to find out more about the situation I found myself in.

It's one of the joys of other Souls games—finding out more about the obfuscatory narrative presented to you.

Perhaps ironically, when I found this place of higher learning, I found only a boss fight

which plunged the world (and my understanding of it) further into chaos.

Enemy designs were different and often crept into body horror, as well as forcing me to

rethink my strategies for enemies I'd previously taken for granted.

Essentially, as my character's insight level increased, so too did I feel more and more

like my resolve was being tested at every opportunity, like I was as much a subject

of the Lovecraftian horror as my character was.

There is no respite, no feeling of accomplishment, just the temporary relief of surviving another

battle, before realising that there's still more to come.

Bloodborne is a game that demands your attention at all times, and never wants you

to feel comfortable at any point.

Weirdly, as I played through Bloodborne, a thought that came into my head constantly

was that of the New French Extremity—that genre-that's-not-quite-a-genre characterised

by stark depictions of extreme violence and taboo.

It brought to mind films within it like Martyrs, in which you feel like you have sustained

a torture witnessing this torture.

The artistic merit is clear to see, and even if it isn't fun or pleasurable to experience,

it's still valuable.

In the same way, Bloodborne's surface-level gothic horror and gore is almost cartoonish

at points, but the game's real horror goes far deeper.

By shifting just a few mechanics around here and there, we go from a game designed to elevate

the player and celebrate life, to one which revels in beating the player to a pulp.

What's great is that it's able to achieve this subtly through mechanics, without resorting

to the Dark Souls 2 method of laughing at you and saying "this is going to be a hard

game."

Every facet of Bloodborne's horror is weaved into the very core of its design.

Like you feel every punch thrown at the protagonist in Martyrs, in Bloodborne you feel the direct

consequence of every decision made, of every hand twitch on the controller and by the end,

you feel as exhausted as you did watching that film.

Essentially, Bloodborne is one big Blighttown.

Thanks to the ways it subtly subverts the typical Dark Souls formula, you may not feel

like celebrating when you complete it, but you'll certainly emerge a changed player

in the end.

So, after months and months of YouTube comments begging me to play it, there's my take on

Bloodborne!

I hope you enjoyed this look at the game, and a big thank you to my patron Nick who

sent me a PS4 and a copy of the game—I'm really glad I finally got my hands on it.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank my patrons, without whom this

show would not be possible.

If you feel like supporting the show, every pledge, no matter how small, means the absolute

world to me.

If you can't or simply don't want to, however, I'm just happy you're watching

the videos.

Also, be sure to check out the podcast I do with my friend Nico!

There's a link in the description or just search Writing on GamesCast on iTunes to hear

us laugh at how dumb video games are.

And with all of that said, I'm Hamish Black and this has been Writing on Games.

Thank you very much for watching and I'll see you next time.

How to play Windows Games on Mac (Parallels 12) - Duration: 5:19.

MrMacRight presents, How to play Windows games on Mac, via Parallels 12.

Parallels allows you to install Windows on your Mac, so that you can run both Mac OS

and Windows at the same time. This is cool if you're a gamer, who uses a Mac for

everyday activities, but also wants to use Windows 10, at the same time for gaming.

It's important to know that your Mac will be sharing resources with Parallels 12, which means it

can struggle to run high end games, or may not launch at all...

Parallels 12 is best for running, not so demanding games. If you're a serious gamer, I would advise

looking at my other tutorial, on how to Install Windows 10 via Boot Camp. The link in the video description.

Anyway, let's get started.

Step 1: Downloading Parallels 12 Search on Google Parallels and open

their website. From here choose to buy Parallels, or try it free for 14 days. Next, enter your

email, and proceed to download the application. Once the download process has completed, open

the DMG file from the downloads folder. Proceed to install the application, and enter your password.

Step 2: Using The Parallels Wizard Once it opens, be sure to choose Get Windows

10 from Microsoft. From here, click Download Windows 10. Microsoft offers a free Windows

10 ISO; however, if you want the full version, it costs around $120. There is a link in the

description to buy it. Once the Windows 10 page opens, choose Windows 10, select

your product language, and click confirm. Now you must choose, which Windows version

you want to download. The 64-bit option is for new Mac models, and the 32-bit is for

older models. Since I have a 2015 5k iMac, I'm going with the 64-bit option.

Once the download completes, return to The Parallels Wizard and click continue.

Find the Windows 10 ISO, by simply clicking find automatically. Once found, click continue.

Next, if you don't have a product key, simply uncheck This version requires a

product key, and continue. If you do have a product key, enter it here.

Choose Games only, click continue, and make sure the name and location information is correct for you.

Click continue and wait for the Windows 10 install setup to appear.

Step 3: Installing Windows 10

You should now be on the Windows 10 install setup. Choose Windows 10 Home and

click next and wait for Windows 10 to install.

Step 4: Your First time, using Windows 10 on Mac.

Windows 10 has installed, and even though

it is ready for use, let's configure the resolution settings, as it might be set to

a low resolution. Right click on the desktop and go into display settings.

Move this bar up to around 125-200%, and then scroll down to Advanced display settings.

Within this page I suggest you change your resolution. This part is up to you, I will

advise trying out the highest resolution, if not, anything beyond 1920x1080 will be okay.

Step 5: Gaming on Windows 10

You can now enjoy using Windows 10 and Mac OS

at the same time, and can have access to a wider catalogue of games.

Remember before downloading or buying games check the system requirements to confirm that it can run on

your machine. To be even safer downloads games on steam and if they don't work

simply request for a Steam refund.

Some of the best places to get games are Steam, Origin, Battle.net and Epic Games.

And there we have it. How to play Windows games on Mac, via Parallels 12.

If you have any issues, with using Parallels 12 or playing games Before you leave a comment

I suggest you utilize Parallels amazing tech support.

They offer support via online chat support, skype support, and email support.

I'll leave a link in the video description.

Also, if you're interested, I have another tutorial on how to Install Windows 10, via Boot Camp.

The link in the video description.

5 Easy Steps for Creating a Great Video Diary - Duration: 3:01.

[Soft guitar music]

[Slique in 60]

Jonny Turner: Hey all, Jonny Turner

here from the Media Productions team

at corporate in Lehi, Utah.

We're excited that you've decided to

participate in the Slique in 60 challenge.

As part of the challenge, we ask that you

track your progress by keeping a video diary

of your ups and downs, the challenges,

and your accomplishments.

It's a fun way to see your journey from start to finish.

At the end of the challenge, you'll be able to

look back and see your full transformation.

To help you make your own videos,

I'm here to show you how easy it is to do,

and how to make them look good using

simple video techniques.

You'll be surprised just how easy it is,

especially if you have a smart phone or

computer web cam.

You'll learn how to go from this...

-- What's up guys? Just doing my Jonny...

-- To this...

-- gets picked up by my cell phone.

There are five easy steps to follow

to look your best in your video diaries.

One, shoot landscape, or horizontal.

Two, keep the microphone close.

Three, stabilize your camera.

Four, keep them bright.

Five, plan ahead of time.

Shooting landscape.

I know it feels easier to shoot vertical

with your cell phone, but try your hardest to resist.

Our eyes have an easier time following a horizontal story.

Also, by keeping it consistently landscape,

we prevent our final video from doing this.

Keep the camera and microphone as close

as the shot requires.

Cameras love your voice.

If we're just seeing your face, keep it within three feet.

If you're going wider to see your entire body,

for instance, just try and keep the microphone

and camera as close as you can.

[Stabilize Your Camera]

Find a book or bag to prop your device

up against so it doesn't move.

If you want to invest in a small cell

phone tripod, that also works great.

Shaky footage takes us out of the video story,

so let's keep it steady.

[Keep Them Bright]

Cameras love light.

And when you're dealing with cell phone

cameras, or web cams, keep the light

as bright as it can get.

We want to see your face.

So when at all possible, film with the sun,

or go towards the light.

[Plan Ahead]

Take some time beforehand and

plan out what you're going to say.

It makes all the difference when you hit

the record button. And it's better for the viewer.

One final note: Keep going.

Your first couple videos might not be perfect,

but you'll learn and grow.

And most importantly, remember,

it is all about story.

And these tips and techniques are just

ways to help you tell your story.

ServiceNow Express Knowledge Management | Configuring a Knowledge Base - Duration: 9:15.

This video shows how to configure a knowledge base, including creating a category hierarchy and controlling user access through user criteria.

Click an item to go directly to that topic.

Or continue watching to cover all topics.

Here, we're logged in as a knowledge manager, Hannah.

Every knowledge base has an owner, who configures the KB and controls the article publication process.

When a user is designated as owner of a KB, if that user doesn't already have the required knowledge_manager role, the system automatically assigns it.

KB owners who have the knowledge_manager role but not the admin role can see other knowledge bases but can't configure them like an admin can.

For example, Hannah can't edit any of these fields in the IT knowledge base record because she isn't designated as its owner or manager.

But she can edit fields in the KB she owns.

In the KB record, the title must be a unique name—that is, different from other KBs.

If you want an icon to appear next to each article to help users identify at a glance which articles belong to this KB, add the image here.

These check boxes allow you to disable features that are enabled by default:

Disable commenting, so that users can't add comments to articles.

Disable suggesting, so that users can't suggest edits to articles in the knowledge base.

And Disable category editing, which prevents users without the knowledge_manager role from editing categories when adding an article.

Only admins can change the KB owner…

…But the owner can select additional users to serve as managers.

We could select multiple managers by clicking here.

But we'll just add one.

The system automatically assigns selected managers the knowledge_manager role, if they don't already have it...

... giving them the same control that the owner has over this KB.

These fields specify the workflow to be used for publishing and retiring articles in this KB.

The choices are Approval—which requires approval by the KB owner or managers before publishing or retiring articles...

... and Instant—which bypasses approval to publish or retire articles immediately.

Our admin set these to Approval when he created this KB.

This selected check box indicates that this is an active KB.

And Enable social questions and answers allows users to ask questions and receive in answers in articles that appear in this knowledge base.

If you disable this option after questions and answers have been entered...

... the questions and answers remain available, but additional questions cannot be added.

Here's the description of this KB.

These fields are used to set default values for new articles as they're added to this KB.

Our admin already set defaults that make sense for this KB by adding the meta tags, human resources and HR.

Notice that meta tags are separated by a comma.

We could add more default fields and values if we wanted to, but this is fine.

Each KB has its own categories, which are separate from those of other KBs.

These are used by content creators to organize articles as they're added to the KB…

…and by users for browsing and searching the KB.

If a category or subcategory contains no published articles, it isn't listed here.

This is where we create categories and subcategories.

We want to create this hierarchy.

The category-subcategory hierarchy can be any number of levels deep.

Most of ours are two levels, but a few are three.

We already have a couple of them set up: Benefits and General are main categories.

We can see an item's subcategories by expanding the parent category.

Here are the subcategories for Benefits.

And here are the subcategories for Insurance.

Now let's add the Policies category and its subcategories.

Policies should be at this level, along with Benefits and General.

Value isn't required but can be used to enter more information.

Now, if we click Submit, the system will create this category and re-display the Human Resources KB record.

Instead, to stay on this page, we can save the record and add our subcategories right here.

The Parent ID field indicates that this new category will be a subcategory of the Policies category.

Here's our first subcategory, Health and Safety.

Now we add the others in the same way…

Leave…

Time and Attendance…

And Travel and Expense.

Here are our subcategories for Policies.

KB owners and managers can delete categories or subcategories that aren't associated with any articles, like this.

Now let's take a look at user criteria.

User criteria apply at the KB level to control which users can create, read, write, and retire knowledge articles.

User criteria are very flexible, allowing you to control access to the KB based on many factors, such as department, roles, and location.

Here's where we specify access controls for our Human Resources KB.

If a knowledge base has no user criteria selected, as is the case here, articles within that KB are available to all users.

Only users with at least one role can contribute to the KB.

Users without any role can read articles but can't contribute.

If a knowledge base has Can Read user criteria selected, but no Can Contribute user criteria...

... all users with at least one role can access and modify the knowledge base.

Those without a role can't contribute.

They can read only if they meet the user criteria conditions.

This KB is configured so that only members of the Human Resources Department can contribute articles...

... but as we saw earlier, all users have read access.

Now let's see how to define and apply user criteria.

Here's our scenario:

We have a Managers KB, where we'll put articles intended just for team, group, and department managers...

... on topics such as interviewing, performance reviews, and bonuses.

In addition, we've already created a Managers group and assigned appropriate users to that group.

Now we need to create and apply user criteria to limit read access to our Managers group...

... and to limit contribute access to members of the Human Resources Department.

We already have user criteria set up for members of the Human Resources Department.

Here's how we apply existing user criteria to this KB.

Now only members of the Human Resources Department can create, write, and retire knowledge articles in this KB.

Let's limit read access to managers.

Hmmm… There are no user criteria for managers.

We need to define a new user criteria record before we can assign it here.

But only admins can define user criteria.

Our KB owner, Hannah, asks her system administrator to do it.

Let's swap roles to see what he does.

Now we're logged in as system administrator.

And here are all the user criteria defined in our system.

We can control user access based on values in any of these fields.

If Match All is True, all values specified here must match the user record in order for the criteria to evaluate as true.

Otherwise, any one value is adequate to provide access.

We'll create a new record, called Managers.

We could use one or any combination of these fields to define a particular set of users...

... who can then be given Can Read or Can Contribute access to any KB in our instance.

For Groups, we just select Managers, and we're all set.

For this user criteria record to be available in the system, it must be Active.

And here's where we would set that Match All field, if applicable.

But in our case we're only matching one value, so it's irrelevant.

We just submit it.

And now it's available to Hannah and other knowledge managers.

So let's try it. Here we're logged in as Hanna again.

We go back to the Can Read related list and edit it to limit read access to Managers.

Now only managers can read articles in this KB, and only members of the Human Resources Department can contribute articles.

For more information, please consult our product documentation, videos, or blogs.

Or ask a question in the ServiceNow Express forums.

WELL, I COME HOME AT LEAST

THE PLANNED TRIP, I STAY LONG.

Trini: BUT POI IN JAPAN.

NO POI.

I GOT TO MIX THE BANANA.

THE RIGHT ONE.

Trini: THIS IS FROM NICK.

HE SAYS, WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE A

THERE'S A LANGUAGE BARRIER

THAT YOU HAVE TO LEARN.

YOU CAN LEARN THE LANGUAGE TO

HELP YOU LIVING THERE.

THE CULTURE YOU CAN LEARN AFTER

YOU GET THE LANGUAGE.

THE LANGUAGE, ANY COUNTRY YOU GO

TO, YOU HAVE TO AT LEAST

COMMUNICATE TO GET TO THE NEXT

LEVEL WHERE YOU BE COMFORTABLE.

YOU'RE NEVER COMFORTABLE IF YOU

CAN NEVER SPEAK THE LANGUAGE.

AT THE BEGINNING OF MY CAREER, I

FEEL EVERYONE WAS TALKING DIRTY

OF ME BECAUSE I COULDN'T

UNDERSTAND A WORD.

I GOT REAL COMFORTABLE WHEN I

STARTED TO LEARN THE LANGUAGE.

I UNDERSTAND WHAT THE CULTURE

WAS.

SO I THINK THE BIGGEST THING YOU

HAVE TO LEARN, LEARN THE

LANGUAGE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AND

THE CULTURE.

Trini: AND THAT'S SOMETHING

WE TALKED ABOUT WHEN WE MET LAST

YEAR.

YOU'VE REALLY EMBRACED THE

JAPANESE CULTURE.

YOU'VE LIVED THERE HOW MANY

YEARS?

35 YEARS.

Trini: THAT IS YOUR HOME.

YOU MARRIED A JAPANESE WOMAN.

YOU'VE EMBRACED.

YOU'VE LEARNED THE LANGUAGE.

IT'S A GREAT -- THE WAY THEY

ACCEPTED ME AS A FOREIGNER AND

BECAUSE OF MY SUMO CAREER, I

GUESS, IT WAS A SUCCESS.

EVEN DOING WHAT I DO AFTER 18

YEARS OF RETIREMENT, I'M

FORTUNATE AND VERY BLESSED AT

THE SAME TIME,.

Trini: LAST QUESTION FROM

ERICA.

WHAT TYPE OF FOOD DID YOU EAT

WHILE TRAINING?

I TOOK YOU TO MUSASHIMARU'S.

A POT OF SHOE, -- STEW, IT CAN BE PORK

OR CHICKEN OR FISH.

THE BROTH CAN BE MISO OR SHOYU

OR KIM CHEE.

SO A LOT OF CHANKO.

IT'S THE DIET OF SUMO WRESTLERS.

Trini: THAT'S INTERESTING.

A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK WHAT DO

THEY EAT?

IT'S TWO MEALS A DAY.

NO BREAK BREAKFAST.

10 things most people can't do - try out! - Duration: 8:39.

[poing sound]

Hi everyone! In this week's video I'm going to try out out

10 things that most people are not supposed to be able to do.

And I want to invite you all to try them along with me.

The first thing we're going to try is to lick our own

elbow!

[reaching sound]

No, [laughs] I don't even get anywhere near my elbow

with my tongue. So: Nope! I cannot do it!

The second thing is to twitch our nose!

So, I'm grabbing a little mirror here, because I want to

see what I'm doing. Because I don't have a flip screen

on my camera, so...

Let's see if I can do this!

Wait...

No... [laughs] Just a second!

This can't be too hard.

Mmmm! I have it!

Wait...

Yay!! [laughs] But I think I have to look in the mirror.

I don't know if I can do it while looking at you, but...

Hey, I didn't know [laughs] I could do that!

That's cool! [laughs]

Oh, they actually said 'wiggle' your nose, but I think

that's the same thing.

Uhm, unless if they meant like that, but I don't think so.

And the third thing is wiggling something else.

It's wiggling your ears.

Again, I have no idea if I can do this.

And if you're trying these things along with me, let me

know in the comments below which of these YOU can

do. I would be very [laughs] interested in hearing that!

So, I'm grabbing my mirror again, because I have no

idea. I'm gonna turn a little bit like this.

I'll turn like that so you can see if my ears are moving.

But...

I think it's all about finding the right muscles.

[laughs] But if you can't find the right muscles, then you

have no hope at all to be able to move these things.

[laughs] Nothing! [laughs] Nothing!

Oh come on! Move!

Nope! [laughs] Nope, I can't do it, nothing is happening.

They're just staying still, so, nope, can't do it.

Number four is the paralyzed finger trick and I'm gonna

have to do that on the table. So... let's go to

the table! [laughs] Okay, so you put your hand flat on

the table and you tuck your middle finger underneath

completely like this.

And then you need to raise your thumb, your index

finger and your pinky.

And then they say it's impossible to also lift this one.

So it's paralyzed so to speak.

So let's try and lift it.

Oh I CAN lift it!

Well you're not supposed to be able to do that, so...

[laughs] That's cool! Let me try with my other hand...

So this is my other hand.

We're gonna try the same thing.

So, tucking this underneath completely.

Lifting my thumb, my index finger, my pinky and...

YEAH!

I can do that too!

Okay.

Yay! [laughs]

Number five. Touch your nose with your tongue.

I'm pretty sure I cannot do this.

I don't think my tongue is long enough, but let's try!

[reaching sound]

No! [laughs] No,

I don't get anywhere near my nose, I can feel it!

Nope! Cannot do it.

Number six is the tongue roll and I know for a fact I can

do this one!

[humming]

I don't know why I'm humming.

[laughs]

Yep! Tongue roll.

Number seven is the: raise one eyebrow.

And I know I can do that, because I've seen myself do it

when I'm editing footage for my YouTube videos.

But I do it spontaneously and it's only one of my eyes.

But I'm not sure which one.

So I'm not sure if I can do it on purpose!

So let's try that!

Grabbing my mirror so I can see what I'm doing.

I'm gonna try this one first.

Wait...

[laughs]

Mmmm...Not really.

[laughs] A tiny little bit maybe.

Wait, let me try this one.

Mmm!

Yay! But it's harder than I thought!

I don't know how I do it spontaneously sometimes,

[laughs] but I do.

Let me try if I can [laughs] do it again, because...

Yeeesss!

So it's this side.

Yeah. [laughs] Wow, I'm like... really stretching it out!

[laughs] But I think that is a yes.

The next one is to wink your eyes independently.

I think that's a pretty easy one.

I'm not sure why they say most people can't do it.

I know some people close both their eyes when they try,

so... But yeah!

Yeah!

Number eight is to try and put your fist in your mouth.

And I have a big mouth, so...

Wait...

I have to try...

Mmm.

Mmm...

[gags] [laughs] Sorry about that!

Mmmm! [hums] [laughs] The perks of a big mouth!

And the last one is to do 'namaste' behind your back.

So I'm gonna tilt the camera down a bit so you can see.

Namaste! [laughs]

I hope you enjoyed trying these things out with me!

I upload weekly on this channel, so if you're not a

subscriber yet, I would like you to consider to subscribe.

And if you are a subscriber, please click the bell icon

next to the subscribe button.

Because YouTube has been changing it's algorithym

and now the new videos don't always show up in your

feed anymore. So it's possible that I upload a new

video, you're subscribed to my channel, yet you don't

see that I've uploaded a new video.

It's very annoying, both for you guys and for me.

But if you click that bell icon, you will get notifications.

And you can change a few things.

You can choose whether you want push notifications,

email notifications or both. So you

have all the power to choose what suits you best.

So yeah, I just wanted to mention that.

Because people have been telling me that my videos

haven't been showing in their news feed.

Which really sucks.

[laughs] But yeah!

What can you do?

Anyway, thank you SO much for watching!

I'll see you again next week and have a great weekend.

Byeee!

IAMPOSSIBLE / BEN OUATTARA / MOTIVATIONAL POEM - Duration: 4:13.

sometimes I slip and fall

I have to dig and crawl

And feel so frustrated that I slam my fist on walls

…. I spent years in the shadow … doubted myself!

And no one came to my rescue when shouted for help

And I always knew what too do but I didn't do what I knew

Today I win or I win cuz I have nothing to loose

pay your dues and you'll reap the benefits

Winners are not those who never fail but those who never quit

Don't compare yourself it might scare you it s an obstacle

Only use others greatness as a proof that its possible

Competing with none other the man in the mirror

Because only when you achieve to surpass yourself you re a winner

Your talents and ideas are a gift from god

and throwing away that gift is like dissing god ! No I don't disregard the fact that this is hard

That's why I start my day with my toughest challenge, I eat that frog ( Bryan Tracy Book )

Open books laying next to my bed, on my shelf

'cause like a Polaroid picture I develop myself

I was realist, but who decides what real is

Like definitions of words who decides what fear this

What could F.E.A.R mean ? let me try

Forget Everything And Run or Face Everything And Rise

Ignite fire in your heart and just keep it burning

New definition of F.A.I.L First Attempt In Learning

It's a choice to say no or scream loud yeah !!!!!

Opportunity is nowhere or now here

Impossible or I m possible

If u want to grow mind that comfort zone

It seems so far away, you need more time you wait

but know that you assassinate your dreams when you procrastinate

The richest place in world is the cemetery

People now dead and buried that could have been legendary

Dreams never lived ideas never shared

Never created, innovated out fear never dared

as long as you lean from your errors it is not a mistake

you don't have to be great to start but have to start to be great

So start today, and say I will not delay

And every obstacle in my way will be knocked away

Put on hand on your chest feel your heart beating

And say I m scared I want to run but I am not leaving

I might fall and get hurt but will not stop dreaming

because I know eventually every wound stops bleeding

And till I stop breathing I will not stop to grow

And always remember that I am possible

And till I stop breathing I will not stop to grow

And always remember that I am possible

WHAT TO DO ON A RAINY DAY WHILE TRAVELING! - Duration: 3:34.

Hey guys!

So it's been raining a lot here lately in Southern California and I was thinking sometimes

when we're on a trip the weather can present a challenge.

Maybe you think your day is ruined by the rain but there are plenty of options to keep

having fun on your trip.

So I'm going to share with you my favorite things to do on a rainy day.

So going to a museum or an art gallery is a very good option 'cause that's most likely

something that's already on your list to go and see while you're on vacation.

So you can get to know the culture and the artsy side of that specific area while staying dry.

Another option is the aquarium.

You can be inside for hours at a time.

Other good options are to go to a play or an opera or a concert so you'll be able to

learn about the performing arts side of the area that you're visiting and stay out of the rain.

Now, one of my favorite things to do when it's raining outside is to just sit in a cafe

- maybe people watch or update your travel journal or just do so research on other things

you'd like to do during the trip.

Or if you haven't gotten souvenirs yet for your family and friends, take this opportunity

to go shopping.

You know, many stores are indoors.

Or you can even explore a book store or library.

One of my favorite things is finding used books at a book store.

That is kind of my souvenir.

Now my last suggestion isn't for everybody but for me, I like to go rock climbing.

And indoor rock climbing is a perfect getaway from the rain.

It's also a way to mingle with the locals.

And then it's a really good idea to wear a windbreaker and it doesn't take up too much

space in your luggage.

Or you can just wear your normal jacket if it's just a light rain but you still want to stay warm.

If you liked this video, please subscribe and share it with your friends.

Please also check out my blog in the description below and let me know what you like to do

on a rainy day.
