What Darth Vader Did in His Free Time - Duration: 4:41.

As the Emperor's apprentice and right hand man, Darth Vader was given tremendous amounts

of power within the Galactic Empire, serving as the emperor's main enforcer.

But when he wasn't hunting down Jedi or killing Rebel scum, what did Vader do in his

free time?

First off, despite having so much power within the empire, Vader barely had any time for

himself.

For the first half of the Empire's reign, Vader was tasked in putting resisting systems

into check by forcing them to comply with Imperial law as well as being tasked in hunting

down surviving Jedi.

When things seemed to settle down and not require his assistance, the galactic civil

war started, which forced Vader into the front lines and to do even more work.

But when Vader did have free time, he typically spent it within one of his many palaces and

castles spread across the galaxy.

One of these palaces was located on Coruscant, and it was known simply as Darth Vader's

palace.

It was the second tallest building on the planet, only being shorter than Emperor Palpatine's

Imperial Palace, which actually was only a walking distance away.

But unlike Emperor Palpatine's palace, which was decorated with expensive treasures, artifacts,

and artwork, Vader's palace was pretty empty and dull, only containing items that were

necessary for his survival.

And this was purely by choice, as Vader did have the credits to purchase pretty much anything

he wanted.

When at this particular palace, Vader spent most of his time within his meditation chamber,

the only place he could safely be without his mask and helmet, which he hated wearing.

For the first few years of his new life, Vader mourned his wife's death and hated himself

for the choices he had made within his chamber.

He was pretty much depressed because of it, constantly reminding himself of how much he

messed up and how he failed to protect Padme.

He once even visited her mausoleum on Naboo, paying his respects to his dear wife and wishing

her a final goodbye.

When he wasn't grieving over his wife's death, Vader spent his time within his meditation

chamber trying to heal himself, particularly his lungs.

Vader despised the suit he was living in, comparing it to a metal coffin.

By repairing his lungs and making them not rely on his suit's life support system,

Vader would have been allowed to ditch his mask and to ease his pain.

Despite his effort, he was never able to fully achieve this.

Probably the only thing he enjoyed doing within his meditation chamber was having the ability

to eat food.

Due to his injuries, he was fed through his life support system, which directly pumped

nutrients into his body, but within his meditation chamber he was able to remove his mask and

eat normally, tasting the flavor of his food.

But even that was difficult for him sometimes, so he usually substituted regular food to

liquid food.

However he still prefered that over how his suit sustained him.

Another thing he typically did in his free time was practice with his lightsaber, usually

sparring against training droids.

Vader also owned a fortress retreat on Coruscant, which was located near the only visible body

of water left on the planet, the Great Western Sea.

It acted kind of like a beach resort, though it's not known if he ever used it.

Another property owned by Vader was Bast castle, which was located on the remote planet Vjun.

There he also had a meditation chamber, where he did the same things we mentioned earlier,

such as consuming liquid food or attempting to heal his lungs.

In this castle, Vader had a workshop which he used to repair and modify his Advanced

TIE fighter.

It was one of the few things he still enjoyed doing outside his meditation chamber, showing

us that a part of his younger self was still within him.

The other thing Vader did on his own time was search for Obi Wan so he could kill him.

For him it was personal, and he wanted the pleasure of killing his former master himself.

It seems Vader went out of his way to occupy himself with tasks as a way to avoid thinking

about his past and his wife.

Perhaps as a way to keep himself from being reminded of her death and the pain her memories

brought him.

Currently in canon we haven't seen much of Vader outside of his work, other than that

he did once go out of his way to slaughter an entire Tusken raider camp during one of

his missions on Tatooine for revenge for what they did to his mother decades prior.

But lets be honest, he probably did it for fun too.

The final portion of his video contains spoilers for Rogue One, so just a heads up if you haven't

seen it yet.

In Rogue One, we see that Darth Vader has a castle on Mustafar, where it seems he spends

most of his time within a bacta tank without his armor on.

It's probably the only time he's not in constant pain, as the bacta eases his burned

body.

Seeing how the castle is on Mustafar, Vader probably also spent time reminding himself

of his failures and fueling himself with anger over his defeat against Obi Wan.

Tim Ferris: Ask Absurd Questions and Stop Fetishizing Failure - Duration: 7:28.

So in Silicon Valley there's the fail fast fail forward the fetishizing of failure and

it's become very trendy.

I think it's extremely misleading and misinterpreted and misapplied in many cases.

So whether you ask say Peter Thiel who views failure as always being a tragedy, there is

no exception, it is not some aesthetic imperative or learning imperative necessarily.

Or you talk to say Mark Andreessen, for instance, who I interviewed for the Tim Ferriss Show

but also for Tools of Titans and he says, when I was getting started, I'm paraphrasing

here but when I was getting started we didn't have a fancy word for it we just called it

a fuck up.

We didn't call it a pivot.

I think that it would be better to say iterate fast and iterate forward.

So there's no problem with getting say feedback on a minimally viable product or an earlier

version of a product.

So Reid Hoffman, another person I've interviewed, founder/cofounder of LinkedIn and the Oracle

of Silicon Valley as he's referred it to even by a lot of the elite investors, for instance,

in Silicon Valley, believes that you should effectively if you're not embarrassed by the

first version of your product that you ship you're too late.

And it's true I think in software development and different types of user interfaces and

so on, but it's not always true for say a book or other types of creative endeavors.

So it's a case of being very specific in what you mean by failure and also making sure that

what you/re transplanting from one area to another, if you are doing that, actually applies

in your industry, in your trade, in your craft.

But I certainly feel like doing your homework, coming out and maybe the Silicon Valley ethos

should start looking to the military more to say I think it's David Hackworth, I think

I'm getting that right, who said if you find yourself in a fair fight you didn't prepare

properly or something along those lines.

I mean it is entirely plausible and possible to come out and just smash your competition

from second one of round one.

And I think even if you do end up failing and then correcting course that's a good aspiration

to have, not to come out really shoddy and handicapped from the get go expecting to pivot

27 times.

Then if you look at my portfolio, for instance, I have about 70 companies I've invested in,

I was a pre-seed advisor to Uber.

And Uber's business model hasn't really changed.

It's been the same for a very long time.

If you look at Derek Sivers the founder of CD Baby, he came up with the business model

in about five minutes of going to a used record store and asking them how they did it.

And it remained the same effectively for ten years, 15 years until he sold it for whatever

it was $24 million.

So you don't have to fail, it's not a prerequisite for having a successful company or a successful

life, you just have to learn.

So I think learning and iterating are two words that are going to be more valuable than

failure, but when failure does slap you in the face, when fortune serves you up a title

wave of some type or quicksand, being able to adapt to that and not emotionally overreact

I think is certainly important, but you shouldn't striving for failure.

If you look across all of the icons, titans, world class performers that I've interviewed

in the say wealthy section, if we're dividing them into healthy, wealthy and wise, when

you look at the business side of things one of the most common patterns that you spot

is absurd questions.

And the power of the absurd question is really something that I've paid a lot of attention

to in the last few years.

Whether that's say Peter Thiel, so serial billionaire, certainly an incredible entrepreneur

but also an incredible investor, good at betting on presidents it turns out as well.

And he would ask questions such as why can't you accomplish your ten-year plan in the next

six months?

And if you talk to say Peter Diamandis, Chairman of the XPRIZE, he might ask the founders of

companies he's looking at as potential investments, if you had to 10 X the economics of your startup

in the next fill in the period of time, six months, three months, how would you do it?

And if they say it can't be done, that's not something we can do, it's impossible, his

response is I don't accept that answer.

Try again.

Those types of questions, I think whether it's 10 X thinking, 100 X, however you frame

that, it could also be a constraint.

For instance, if you had to accomplish all of your work or grow your company two X while

working two hours a week, if you had a gun against your head how would you attempt to

do that?

These type of absurd questions don't allow you to use your default frameworks for solutions.

They don't allow you to use your base of current assumptions to come up with answers.

It forces you to think laterally.

It forces you to break some of the boundaries on the sphere of comfort that you've created

for yourself.

And that is what makes them I think in a way so powerful.

And these are not questions, by the way, I think are valuable if you ponder them for

ten seconds and go hum, yeah maybe I would do this and then move on with your day.

I think that journaling as an adjunct to asking these questions is very, very important.

So I will sit down very often in the morning, one of my rituals also borrowed from a lot

of these people is morning journaling of some type.

And I tend to use either morning pages five minute journal or just a separate type of

freehand sort of goal dissection and this would be a case where I would ask one of those

questions and I would write freehand for say three pages, three to five pages and drink

some tea as I'm doing it.

And that is when you will not only come up with interesting ideas, and they might be

90 percent garbage, but if you have ten percent that lead you in an interesting direction

that could completely revolutionize your business or your life if you take that seed and do

something with it.

And that's been the case for me for a very long time.

I actually created a list at one point after observing this pattern among these people

I was interviewing and I just made a list of what are the most absurd things I could

do right now related to my life and business?

And I created this long list.

And some of them were terrible.

I mean literally I was at a conference I was bored and that's why I was doing this and

some of them were very specific business related, one of them was cut off my own feet.

Like what the hell?

So I disregarded that one.

I still have my feet.

You can't see but they're intact.

And at the same time though one of them was take a complete break from the startup investing,

so retire from startup investing because that had become a source of stress due to the inbound,

the deal flow.

And that was a real game changer for me taking my indefinite startup vacation about two years

ago, which has led to incredible growth in other areas including in my own businesses.

So there you have it the power of absurd questions.

How to Make Easy Cajun Fish Creole ~ Cajun Seafood Creole Recipe - Duration: 3:28.

It's not shrimp creole but it is Cajun

fish creole. I'm Tess and I'm going to

make a delicious and rich cajun fish

creole using haddock. Stay tuned!

This Cajun fish creole recipe is easy...

all made in one pot, healthy and, of

course, delicious. In a pan on medium heat...

I'm adding a little olive oil and the

Cajun Holy Trinity which is a vegetable

combination of diced onions , celery and

bell peppers. Seasoning with a little

salt and black pepper. For a little heat

I'm adding a half of a seeded

jalapeno pepper. Giving everything a good

toss and cooking for about five minutes

until the veggies are soft.

Next goes in a good dose of minced

garlic, some chopped anchovies with a

little of the anchovy oil and some

tomato paste.

I also have some chopped green onions.

I'm adding the whites now and I'll be

adding the greens later. Stirring and

cooking for another minute.

This smells so good!

And by the way, you can find this recipe

and the list of ingredients in the

description box below. For some

additional flavor I'm adding a can of

chopped minced clams with the juice and

in goes one can of diced tomatoes.

Giving everything a stir.

I'm adding just a little sugar to

balance out the acidity of the tomatoes...

adding some Worcestershire sauce and

cajun seasoning. You can use your

favorite Cajun seasoning. Bringing up to

a simmer and cooking for 15 minutes.

I have some heat with a jalapeno pepper

and there was a little Cayenne kick in

the Cajun seasoning. If you like more

heat you can add some red pepper flakes.

It's been 15 minutes and you can see the

liquid has reduced some. I'm adding a

handful of fresh chopped parsley, the

green onions and the haddock. I kept the fish in

nice sized pieces.

It will only take about 10 to 15 minutes

for the fish to fully cook. Cod is

another good fish to use for this cajun

creole recipe but you can use any white

fish or really any seafood that you like.

Giving everything a good toss and

letting it simmer until the haddock is

fully cooked and flaky.

Serving tonight with some rice. This is

such an easy one-pot Cajun dish.

The background anchovies and the clams

really add a depth of flavor to this dish.

You can taste all the spices that blend

so well together. If you're in the mood

for something Cajun, this Cajun fish

creole might be something for you.

I hope you give this fish creole recipe a try!

2009-2014 F-150 Carrichs Chrome Third Brake Light Trim Review & Install - Duration: 2:32.

Hey, what's going on, guys?

Adam here with americanmuscle.com.

Today I'm bringing you a detailed review of Carrichs Third Brake Light Covers in the chrome

ABS finish, fitting all '09 to '14 F-150s.

So Carrichs Third Brake Light Cover in the chrome ABS finish will be for all '09 to '14

F-150 owners out there looking to add an exterior shine to their third brake light giving the

exterior that flashy, noticeable appearance.

Now we all know it really is the little things that can make such a big difference when it

comes to the exterior appearance of your truck.

Now Carrichs Third Brake Light Cover in that chrome ABS finish is definitely gonna be one

of those little things that add on to the exterior styling of your truck with a very,

very inexpensive price tag and a very simple installation that really just sticks on your

third brake light.

So this option comes as a perfect fitment to your truck's trim and is ready to stick

on with the 3M tape that's already pre-applied to the back of the product.

The only thing you'd have to do for the installation is peel back the backing on that 3M tape and

stick it right on to the third brake light for a very painless installation, something

anybody can do with a little bit of time at home.

I'll touch on that in just a moment.

But I do wanna point out this will require no modifications and won't even affect your

factory paint.

This option from Carrichs offers a triple dip chrome plating giving you that bright,

mirror-like shine finish to give a noticeable appearance to the exterior of your truck.

You can expect an automotive grade ABS plastic to blend in with the quality of all OEM materials

and even to blend in with any chrome trim you may already have on the vehicle now.

You can expect this piece to stand the test of time because this will not be cracking

or chipping given the long periods of time and all year round usage.

So obviously exterior chrome trim won't be for everybody, but if you are interested in

picking up this piece, expect to be spending just about 30 bucks, definitely not the most

expensive piece out there, definitely not the cheapest.

This kind of falls right in the middle.

I would definitely say you'd get a lot of bang for your buck if you are into the chrome

trim.

You get the mirror-like shine, very durable quality material, and an extremely simple

installation.

Speaking of that installation, expect to be spending about 10 minutes or so in the driveway

at home, something anybody could do with just a little bit of time and you won't even need

any hand tools.

The only thing you're gonna need to do is wipe down the area with some alcohol wipes

to make sure you're free of any dirt and dust right around that third brake light.

Once that's done and it's completely clean, peel back the 3M tape already pre-applied

on the back of the cover and stick it into place.

Like I said, definitely something anybody can do, which is why I'd give this one a one

out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter.

So just to quickly wrap things up, guys, if you're the owner of an '09 to '14 F-150 and

you're looking for an inexpensive way to pick up some subtle chrome trim for the rear end

of your truck, you might wanna check out Carrichs Third Brake Light Cover in the chrome ABS

trim, available right here at americanmuscle.com.

This is my Father's world

And to my listening ears

All nature sings, and round me rings

The music of he spheres

This is my Father's world

Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas

His hand the wonders wrought

This is my Father's world

The morning light, the lily white

Declare their maker's praise

This is my Father's world

He shines in all that's fair

In the rustling grass I hear Him pass

He speaks to me everywhere

This is my Father's world

2015-2017 F-150 Barricade Raptor Style Fender Flares Review & Install - Duration: 3:06.

Hey, what's going on guys?

Adam here with americanmuscle.com.

Today I'm bringing you a detailed review of the Barricade Raptor Style Fender Flares fitting

all 2015 and newer F-150s.

In this video, I'll be going over everything you can expect as far as functionality and

styling with these fender flares from Barricade as well as the materials and construction.

And I'll even take you through the installation which I'll tell you up front, will require

a little bit of splicing, no drilling however, but I will be giving it a two out of three

wrenches on our difficulty meter so let's jump right into it.

The Barricade Raptor Style Fender Flares will be for all 2015 and newer F-150 owners out

there looking to increase their wheel and tire size and want to keep it street legal,

want to protect their factory fender lips, and want to pick up the aggressive look of

the SVT Raptor for their own F-150.

Now, it's a very popular upgrade to go with a bigger wheel and tire set up for your F-150,

but unfortunately, when it extends past your factory fenders it becomes illegal for highway

usage.

When adding a set of fender flares like the ones I have today, you can add additional

tire clearance to make it a street legal setup.

Now, in this case, you're getting two inches of additional tire clearance which may just

be what you need.

These are manufactured out of a durable UV treated ABS plastic with a slight textured

black finish here.

Great for on and off road usage and it'll actually protect your factory fender lips

from small trail hazards and even door dings in the parking lot.

In addition to adding a little bit of tire clearance for your bigger wheel and tire set

up, with picking up these fender flares from Barricade you're also getting some more accent

lighting for the side profile of your F-150.

Amber high-powered LED lights will be included in the kit for you to install into each corner

of the front fender flares and will be able to splice directly into your factory headlights

to give you a running light for the sides of your truck.

Now as far as how much additional tire clearance you will need for your particular wheel and

tire setup will obviously be up to your personal preference.

Now some options can go from two inches all the way up to four inches.

Now this one here falls at the two-inch mark.

Now moving along to the installation portion of the video, again, this one will be pretty

straight forward.

However, it will require a little bit of splicing on your end.

No drilling or modifications will be required, however, to the body of your F-150.

Now this one will require a ratchet and a simple socket set and about an hour or two's

worth of time in the driveway at home.

Now, to kick things off, you'll be using the hardware provided for you in the kit in the

factory mounting positions above each wheel well.

Take each fender flare, put it into place.

Bolt everything down using your ratchet and socket set, move along to the next fender

flare, and you're good to go with the wiring.

Now with the LEDs provided in the kit, you'll be able to feed those through into the holes

provided for you on the front fender flares.

Now when it comes to wiring them, they can be wired to any power source, but it's probably

your easiest bet to run them up to your headlight harness and splice them in that way.

Overall, again, I'd say about an hour or two depending on how familiar you are with the

splicing process.

This one, again, will take a two out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter because it

does require that extra splicing step.

Well guys, just to wrap things up here.

If you are the owner of a 2015 or newer F-150 and you're looking for a way to pick up the

aggression of the 2017 SVT Raptor with the Raptor styling, as well as protecting your

factory fender lips and getting some additional tire clearance with for a bigger wheel and

tire setup.

2004-2008 F-150 Smittybilt M1 Fender Flares (Styleside) Review & Install - Duration: 2:32.

What's going on, guys?

I'm Alex from americanmuscle.com, and this is my quick review and install of the Smittybilt

M1 Bolt-On Fender Flares fitting the 2004 through 2008 F-150.

So in this video, I'm gonna talk about the construction and materials used here, as well

as the installation which I'm gonna hit on a little bit later in the video.

But right off the bat, I'm gonna give these a very easy one-out-of-three wrenches on the

difficulty meter, and you should have these on your truck in about one to two hours tops.

So you should definitely be taking a look at these fender flares if you're looking to

accommodate a larger wheel and tire size or if you're looking to make the size of your

truck pop, and last but not least, to protect your investment from anything that you might

come across, be it on the trails, job site, or even your daily commute.

So in terms of the construction and materials here, Smittybilt has these made up of a lightweight

and durable ABS plastic material but center-finished in a gloss black finish which, in my opinion,

matches pretty well with the trim on the F-150.

Now, in the event that you wanted to have this painted, it can absolutely be done so

but I actually like black as it makes the size of the truck pop that much better.

So another great aspect about these fender flares is that Smittybilt has these listed

as being UV as well as heat resistant so you can rest easy knowing that, as the seasons

change, these are not going to flex while they're on your truck.

We're gonna see these fender flares fall in line right around the $400 neighborhood, which

in my opinion, is definitely the middle of the road for what you're paying for as if

you look at other alternatives out there in comparison, they're easily going to tip the

scales with around north $900 based on the brand as well as the materials.

For the money, you're gonna be getting away with a quality bolt-on option which I'm gonna

hit on very shortly as well as having peace of mind that this is gonna be from a great

brand like Smittybilt, knowing that this is gonna hold up over time and make the size

of your truck pop.

So like I said at the beginning of the video, you're gonna be looking at a very easy one-out-of-three

wrenches on the difficulty meter, and you should have these on your truck in about one

to two hours tops.

And because this is a tried and true bolt-on install, you are not going to have to cut

into your truck for any reason whatsoever which again is gonna be a huge selling point

for me with this simple eight-step installation.

Now, I will add that you are going to need a basic tool set as well as a hex bit set

and while it's not necessary to have an extra set of hands around, it's always a good idea,

in my opinion, just to make sure you don't get caught up in a snag.

So just to wrap things up here, I really like this option from Smittybilt not only because

these are gonna make your truck look that much better if you're running a larger wheel

and tire option, but for the fact that you're gonna be protecting your investment from anything

you might come across in your daily commute, job site, or doing some light trail running.

So that's my review for the Smittybilt M1 Bolt-On Fender Flares fitting the '04 through

'08 F-150 right here at americanmuscle.com.

that this site is joined together i'm

going to complete the nine double

crochet one two three four

9

I'm going to align them back up like

this i'm going to join through the

beginning single crochet putting my hook

below the two loops and I'm going to put

my hook below the single crochet on the

opposite swear wrap the yarn over pull

through pull through the loop on my hook

wrap the yarn over pull through cut the

yarn pull it through give it a tug and

then we have this little piece together

like this you are going to find that

there are many combination in ways that

you can put your little segments

together so experiment and have fun with

them i'm just showing 1 way I have gone

ahead and worked up the rest of my

squares this is the section i put

together first and these are the three

squares that I finished I went on ahead

and work the last stitches but i did not

secure the yarn what I'm going to do is

pull it out like this

I'm going to put my hook through here

and pull out the rest of that one

I'm going to align them together like

this you can work them on either side

i'm putting my hook through then wrap

the yarn over pull through pull through

the two loops and then complete the

double crochet

I'm going to doing with the beginning

stitch and I'm going to put my hook

through the single crochet on the

opposites we're just like that

wrap the yarn over pull it through pull

through the loop on the hook i'm going

to pull it on through the secure now we

have three of them join together i'm

going to pull this one out you can

decide how many squares you want to put

together this one will work with four as

well if you want to only do for this is

what it will look like i'm going to put

five together i'm going to put my hook

through the single crochet wrap the yarn

over pull it through pull through the

two loops I'm going to work my nine

double crochet one

two

sudden

eat

9

I'm going to join with the single

crochet i'm going to be joining right

down here at the center through the

single crochet on the opposite square

wrap the yarn over pull through pull

through i joined right down here at the

center this is what it would look like

if you did for now this time the square

will be a little bit different

I'm going to pull out two sections but

this is how i would do it working up a

lot of squares in advance and then you

just unravel them and put it back

together if you don't want to put them

all together as you're working

this is how be added together this

segment will be down here to the center

and these two will be like this when

it's complete

so I'm picking out my single crochet i'm

going to start on this side and attached

on the opposite square through the

single crochet i'm going to work nine

double crochet one two three

for

56

seven

eight

9 i'm going to work the first part of my

single crochet

and I'm working down here in the center

putting it through the single crochet on

the opposite swear wrap the yarn over

pull through pull through the loops on

the book i have one segment left what I

want to do is work a slip stitch in this

square like this and it does get a

little bit awkward working with this

much so you may want to use some pins to

hold things together it can get messed

up but I am joining the back sides

together and then they lay down like

this working the nine double crochet one

two three four five

6

seven

89 going to join with a slip stitch

putting my hook through the top of the

stitch now I'm going to find the sale

crochet on the opposite side like this

wrap the yarn over pull through pull

through the loop on the hook like that

wrap the yarn over pull through and I

want to make sure I've got everything in

place before I pull through the whole

way that looks good so i'm going to go

ahead and pull through and give it a tug

just like that now i have threaded one

of my longer tails i do need to sew all

of them in what i'm going to do i'm

working on the backside and i'm going to

weave the tail down here and if you

don't have long tails you can attach

your arm down here at the center and i'm

going to sew this Center shut I wanted

to be a little bit more secure and when

I get down here i want to make the not

like that and then i'm going to sew the

center shut

going through all the sections like that

and once you get everything in place and

make a knot

make another knot

and we tail between the stitches

you will want to sew in any remaining

tails

this is what it looks like on the front

this is what it looks like on the back

so you will have a backside and you

could place two of these together if you

wanted to make a pot holder

Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down, Jennifer Holliday to Perform at Trump Inauguration - Duration: 3:26.

Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down and Jennifer Holliday are set to perform at a Donald Trump inauguration concert event in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 19.

The musicians are the main attractions for the "Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration," which the Trump Inaugural Committee announced Friday,

along with an event called "Voices of the People." Both will be held at the Lincoln Memoria

The concert will also feature remarks from the president-elect, plus actor Jon Voight, The Piano Guys, Lee Greenwood, DJ Ravi Drums,

and The Frontmen of Country (featuring Tim Rushlow, former lead singer of "Little Texas," Larry Stewart of Restless Heart and Richie McDonald of Lonestar),

as well as military bands. The free public event will conclude with a fireworks show by Grucci.

"Voices of the People," which kicks off the celebration this coming Thursday, will feature "groups from the hundreds of applications received by the Presidential Inaugural Committee

to take part in inaugural festivities," according to the Committee's press release.

Groups include the DC Fire Department Emerald Society Pipes and Drums, King's Academy Honor Choir, the Republican Hindu Coalition,

"President-elect Trump has made it clear that this inaugural is of, by, and for the American people," Inaugural Committee chairman Tom Barrack said in a statement.

"The 58th Inaugural will celebrate American history and heritage, while setting the course to a brighter and bolder future for all Americans.

Above all, it will serve as tribute to one of our greatest attributes, the peaceful transition of partisan power."

Other performers participating in various inauguration festivities include "America's Got Talent" contestant Jackie Evancho, the Rockettes,

the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Bruce Springsteen tribute band, the B Street Band. Paul Anka, a personal friend of Trump's,

recently said he had to back out of performing "My Way" for the incoming POTUS because of scheduling issues.

Ben: Diamonds are Level 12.

Doge: Oh.

Ben: And thats a while because we started at level 93.

Doge: Why level 93?

Ben: Idk, thats just what it is. Actually 94

Doge: I thought it was 100.

Ben: I said that because it's about 100.

Doge: O

Ben & Doge: 64 Levels to go til DIamond level

Doge: Its surprising how we made this many stairs and still have 43 spare.

Doge: So the rules of this are, we make a town in the biome we spawn in

Doge: And we can spawn a villager every house we make

Doge: If other people join they do this in another biome.

Doge: And we can't cross to their biome and they can't cross to ours.

Ben: But you can do things like trade still

Doge: And if we're battling we are allowed to come across

Doge: But when we're trading we can't.

Ben: If theres a biome in between the two biomes that people are in, they can cross to the biome in between to trade with us.

Ben: So we're in neutral position (And Doge goes "Yeah."

Ben: And nobody can build there.

Doge: Yeah, so its sort of like a meeting up area (Or a battlefield)

Ben: I broke my pick.

Doge: My ones on 11.

Ben: But we got picks for days

Doge: Yeah, how many did you give me?

Ben: I gave you like 7.

Doge: Oh, you're right. You did actually give me 7.

Ben: Cos I know it was 2 less than my hotbar.

Doge: I used to always think that the hotbar was 10.

Ben:Nah, its 9.

Doge: *Was gonna say something but forgot*

Doge: What level are we at now?

Doge & Ben: 43.

Ben: When we reach Diamond level we stop there and put water at the bottom so we can jump down.

Ben: Cos otherwise you gotta take the stairs.

*Doge goes mhhmm*

Ben: It looks wierd if you look straight up and spin around,

Doge: It looks wierd since we've gone down so far.

Doge: And thats me playing MC multiplayer on camera for the first time.

Stairs in the Woods – Part 1 - Duration: 22:00.

And now it is time for Creepy Stories with Lettuce McGrims.

the part of the show where Lettuce McGrims reads a True Creepy story or a Creepypasta.

This episode is the first in a series of readings called "I'm a Search and Rescue Officer

for the US Forest Service, I have some stories to tell."

But First a message from headquarters: On my channel I tend to stay away from the

trending or repeated stories others have already read.

This is because I tend to skip stories in a que that I am listening to if I read a repeated

story no matter who is reading it.

However there are two stories I have been dying to do.

The stairs series is one of them.

The other being the odd little furbey thing that keeps telling the kid to kill himself.

That one is epic.

And now we return to the best monthly winner of 2015:

I'm a Search and Rescue Officer for the US Forest Service, I have some stories to tell

submitted by search-and-rescue-woods I wasn't sure where else to post these stories,

so I figured I'd share them here.

I've been an SAR officer for a few years now, and along the way I've seen some things that

I think you guys will be interested in.

I have a pretty good track record for finding missing people.

Most of the time they just wander off the path, or slip down a small cliff, and they

can't find their way back.

The majority of them have heard the old 'stay where you are' thing, and they don't wander

far.

But I've had two cases where that didn't happen.

Both bother me a lot, and I use them as motivation to search even harder on the missing persons

cases I get called on.

The first was a little boy who was out berry-picking with his parents.

He and his sister were together, and both of them went missing around the same time.

Their parents lost sight of them for a few seconds, and in that time both the kids apparently

wandered off.

When their parents couldn't find them, they called us, and we came out to search the area.

We found the daughter pretty quickly, and when we asked where her brother was, she told

us that he'd been taken away by 'the bear man.'

She said he gave her berries and told her to stay quiet, that he wanted to play with

her brother for a while.

The last she saw of her brother, he was riding on the shoulders of 'the bear man' and seemed

calm.

Of course, our first thought was abduction, but we never found a trace of another human

being in that area.

The little girl was also insistent that he wasn't a normal man, but that he was tall

and covered in hair, 'like a bear', and that he had a 'weird face.'

We searched that area for weeks, it was one of the longest calls I've ever been on, but

we never found a single trace of that kid.

The other was a young woman who was out hiking with her mom and grandpa.

According to the mother, her daughter had climbed up a tree to get a better view of

the forest, and she'd never come back down.

They waited at the base of the tree for hours, calling her name, before they called for help.

Again, we searched everywhere, and we never found a trace of her.

I have no idea where she could possibly have gone, because neither her mother or grandpa

saw her come down.

A few times, I've been out on my own searching with a canine, and they've tried to lead me

straight up cliffs.

Not hills, not even rock faces.

Straight, sheer cliffs with no possible handholds.

It's always baffling, and in those cases we usually find the person on the other side

of the cliff, or miles away from where the canine has led us.

I'm sure there's an explanation, but it's sort of strange.

One particularly sad case involved the recovery of a body.

A nine-year-old girl fell down an embankment and got impaled on a dead tree at the base.

It was a complete freak accident, but I'll never forget the sound her mother made when

we told her what had happened.

She saw the body bag being loaded into the ambulance, and she let out the most haunting,

heart-broken wail I've ever heard.

It was like her whole life was crashing down around her, and a part of her had died with

her daughter.

I heard from another SAR officer that she killed herself a few weeks after it happened.

She couldn't live with the loss of her daughter.

I was teamed up with another SAR officer because we'd received reports of bears in the area.

We were looking for a guy who hadn't come home from a climbing trip when he was supposed

to, and we ended up having to do some serious climbing to get to where we figured he'd be.

We found him trapped in a small crevasse with a broken leg.

It was not pleasant.

He'd been there for almost two days, and his leg was very obviously infected.

We were able to get him into a chopper, and I heard from one of the EMTs that the guy

was absolutely inconsolable.

He kept talking about how he'd been doing fine, and when he'd gotten to the top, a man

had been there.

He said the guy had no climbing equipment, and he was wearing a parka and ski pants.

He walked up to the guy, and when the guy turned around, he said he had no face.

It was just blank.

He freaked out, and ended up trying to get off the mountain too fast, which is why he'd

fallen.

He said he could hear the guy all night, climbing down the mountain and letting out these horrible

muffled screams.

That story bothered the hell out of me.

I'm glad I wasn't there to hear it.

One of the scariest things I've ever had happen to me involved the search for a young woman

who'd gotten separated from her hiking group.

We were out until late at night, because the dogs had picked up her scent.

When we found her, she was curled up under a large rotted log.

She was missing her shoes and pack, and she was clearly in shock.

She didn't have any injuries, and we were able to get her to walk with us back to base

ops.

Along the way, she kept looking behind us and asking us why 'that big man with black

eyes' was following us.

We couldn't see anyone, so we just wrote it off as some weird symptom of shock.

But the closer we got to base, the more agitated this woman got.

She kept asking me to tell him to stop 'making faces' at her.

At one point she stopped and turned around and started yelling into the forest, saying

that she wanted him to leave her alone.

She wasn't going to go with him, she said, and she wouldn't give us to him.

We finally got her to keep moving, but we started hearing these weird noises coming

from all around us.

It was almost like coughing, but more rhythmic and deeper.

It was almost insect-like, I don't really know how else to describe it.

When we were within site of base ops, the woman turns to me, and her eyes are about

as wide as I can imagine a human could open them.

She touches my shoulder and says 'He says to tell you to speed up.

He doesn't like looking at the scar on your neck.'

I have a very small scar on the base of my neck, but it's mostly hidden under my collar,

and I have no idea how this woman saw it.

Right after she says it, I hear that weird coughing right in my ear, and I just about

jumped out of my skin.

I hustled her to ops, trying not to show how freaked out I was, but I have to say I was

really happy when we left the area that night.

This is the last one I'll tell, and it's probably the weirdest story I have.

Now, I don't know if this is true in every SAR unit, but in mine, it's sort of an unspoken,

regular thing we run into.

You can try asking about it with other SAR officers, but even if they know what you're

talking about, they probably won't say anything about it.

We've been told not to talk about it by our superiors, and at this point we've all gotten

so used to it that it doesn't even seem weird anymore.

On just about every case where we're really far into the wilderness, I'm talking 30 or

40 miles, at some point we'll find a staircase in the middle of the woods.

It's almost like if you took the stairs in your house, cut them out, and put them in

the forest.

I asked about it the first time I saw some, and the other officer just told me not to

worry about it, that it was "normal."

Everyone I asked said the same thing.

I wanted to go check them out, but I was told, very emphatically, that I should never go

near any of them.

I just sort of ignore them now when I run into them because it happens so frequently.

I have a lot more stories, and I suppose if anyone's interested, I'll tell some of them

tomorrow.

If anyone has any theories about the stairs, or if you've seen them too, let me know.

So I logged back on tonight and was blown away by the staggering amount of interest

this seems to have generated.

First off, I'll address a few things that you guys have brought up:

• There's been an overwhelming amount of people mentioning the similarity between some

of my stories and those of David Paulides.

I assure you I'm not trying to rip him off in any way, I've got nothing but respect for

the guy.

He's actually what inspired me to write this, because I can verify a lot of the things he

talks about.

• We do have a lot of these strange missing persons cases, and most of the time they aren't

solved.

Either that, or we find them in places they have no business being.

I personally haven't been on many calls like that, but I'll share a few that I've seen,

and a story my friend told me that relates to this.

• There was a lot of feedback about the stairs, so I'll touch on that briefly here,

and I'll also include a story.

• They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, styles, and conditions.

• Some are pretty dilapidated, just ruins, but others are brand new.

• I saw one set that looked like they came from a lighthouse: they were metal and spiral,

almost old-fashioned.

The stairs don't go up infinitely, or farther than I can see, but some sets are taller than

others.

• Like I said before, just imagine the stairs in your house, as if someone cut-and-pasted

them in the middle of nowhere.

• I don't have any pictures, it's never really occurred to me to try again after the

first time, and I don't really feel like risking my job over it.

I'll try again in the future, but I can't really promise anything.

• A few people expressed confusion about the guy who ran into the man with no face.

Just to clarify, • when the climber ascended and reached

the top of this peak, • he saw another man in a parka and ski

pants.

• This was the man with no face.

• Sorry about the confusing wording of that story, I'll try to avoid that in the future.

Alright, on to the new stories: • As far as missing persons go, I'd say

about half the calls I get are related to that.

The others are rescue calls; people who fall down cliffs and hurt themselves, get injured

by fire (you wouldn't believe how often this happens, mostly drunk kids), get bitten or

stung by animals or insects.

• We're a tight team, and we have veterans who are excellent at finding signs of lost

people.

That's what makes these cases where we never find any trace of them so frustrating.

• One in particular was upsetting for all of us, because we did find a trace of them,

• but it just led to more questions than answers.

• • An older man had been hiking alone on

a well-established trail, but his wife called to say that he hadn't come home when he should

have.

• Apparently he had a history of seizures, and she was worried that he hadn't taken his

medication and had suffered one out on the trail.

Before you ask, I have no idea why he thought it was okay to go out alone, or why she didn't

go with him.

I don't ask about that kind of thing because past a certain point, it really doesn't matter.

Someone is missing, and it's my job to find them.

• We went out in a standard search formation, and it wasn't long before one of our vets

found signs that the guy had gone off the trail.

• We grouped up and followed him, spreading out in a fan to make sure we were covering

as much ground as possible.

• Suddenly, a call comes over the radio telling us to all head back to the vets location,

and we come right away, because this usually means the missing person is injured, and we

need a full team to help get them out safely.

• We meet back up, and the vet is just standing at the base of a tree with his hands on the

sides of his head.

I ask my buddy what's going on, and he points up into the branches of this tree.

• I almost couldn't believe what I was seeing, • but there's a walking stick

• dangling • from a branch

• at least thirty feet • off the ground.

• The little strap thing on the handle has been looped around the branch, and it's just

hanging there.

• There's no way the guy could have tossed it up that far,

• and we don't see any other signs that he's still in the area.

• We call up into the tree, but it's obvious no one's in it.

• We're all just sort of left scratching our heads.

• We keep searching for the guy, but we never find him.

We even bring our canines out, but they lose his scent long before this tree.

• Eventually, the search is called off, because there are other calls we have to attend

to, and past a certain point there's not much we can do.

• The guy's wife called us • every day

• for months, • asking if we'd found her husband,

• and it was heartbreaking • to hear her get more and more hopeless

each time.

• I'm not sure why this call in particular was so upsetting, but I think it was just

the sheer improbability of it.

That and the questions that were raised.

• How the hell had this guy's cane ended up there?

• Did someone kill him and toss that up there as some weird trophy?

• We did our best to find him, but it was almost like a taunt.

We still talk about that one from time to time.

• Missing kids are the most heart-breaking.

Doesn't matter what circumstances they go missing under, it's never easy, and we always,

always dread the ones we find deceased.

It's not common, • but it does happen.

• • David Paulides talks a lot about kids

SAR teams find in places they shouldn't be, or couldn't be.

I can honestly say I've heard about this kind of thing happening more than I've seen it,

but I'll share one of the ones that I think about a lot that I witnessed personally.

• • A mother and her three kids were out for

a picnic in an area of the park that has a small lake.

• One is six, • one is five,

• and the other is about three.

• She's watching them all really closely, and according to her, she never lets them

out of her sight at any time.

• She never saw anyone else in the area either, which is important.

• She packs their stuff up and they start to head back to the parking area.

• Now, this lake is only about two miles into the woods, and it's on a very clearly

established trail.

• It's almost impossible to get lost getting from the parking area to it, unless you're

deliberately • going off the path like an imbecile.

• Her kids are walking in front of her, when she hears what sounds like someone coming

up the path behind her.

• She turns around, and in the four or so seconds she's not looking,

• her five-year-old son vanishes.

• She figures he's stepped off the trail to pee or something, and she asks her other

two where he went.

• They both tell her that 'a big man with a scary face' came out of the woods next to

them, took the kid's hand, and led him into the trees.

• The two remaining kids don't seem upset, in fact she says later that it seems like

they've been drugged.

They're sort of spacey and fuzzy.

• So of course, she freaks out, starts looking frantically in the area for her kid.

She's screaming his name, and she says at one point she thinks she heard him answer

her.

• Now obviously she can't go blindly running into the woods, she's got the other two kids,

so she calls the police and they send us out immediately.

• We respond, and we start the search for him.

• Over the course of this search, which spans miles,

• we never find a single trace of the kid.

• Canines can't pick up any scent, we don't find any clothing or broken bushes or literally

anything that would signify a child being there.

• Of course there's suspicion about the mother for a while, but it's pretty clear

that she's completely destroyed by the whole thing.

• We looked for this kid for weeks, with a lot of volunteer help.

• But eventually, the search peters out, and we have to move on.

• The volunteers keep searching, though, and one day we get a call on the radio letting

us that a body has been found and needs to be recovered.

• They tell us the location, • and none of us can believe it.

• We figure it has to be a different kid.

• But we go out there, about 15 miles from the site where he vanished,

• and sure enough, we find the body of the kid we've been looking for.

• I have been trying to figure out how this kid got where he did ever since we found him,

and I've never come up with an answer.

• A volunteer just happened to be in the area, because he figured he might as well

look in places no one else would think to on the off chance the body had been dumped.

• He comes to the base of a tall, rocky slope, and half-way up, he sees something.

He looks through his binoculars and sure enough, it's the body of a little boy, stuffed in

a little opening in the rock.

• He recognizes the color of the kid's shirt, so he knows right away that it's the missing

boy.

That's when he calls it in, and we're dispatched.

It took us almost an hour to get his body down, and none of us could believe what we

were seeing.

Not only was this kid 15 miles from where he'd started, there was no possible way he

could have gotten up there on his own.

• This slope is treacherous, • and it's hard even for us with our climbing

gear.

• A five-year-old boy had no way of getting up there, of that I'm certain.

Not only that, but the kid doesn't have a scratch on him.

• His shoes are gone, • but his feet aren't damaged or dirty.

• So it wasn't as if an animal dragged him up there.

don't know if I told you this, but I hope

you keep it up...and I hope these videos

are helping you.

In these videos, I show you a slide,

and on the slide there are two sentences:

One is the correct way a native English

speaker would say it,

the other is the wrong way that many

native Portuguese speakers might say it.

Your task is to decide which one is

correct.

So why don't you do that now. Read the

sentences,

listen to me read the sentences, pause

the video, think about your answer and I

will talk about the answer in the slide that

follows this coming slide.

Hopefully that went

well and you don't need to study this so

much more in the future. But, if like many

people out there, it didn't go well and

you got it wrong - or you just happened to

guess right --

it simply means that you need to study

to get past this mistake. To start you

off on that process I've given you three

sentences to study from. You should

memorize these sentences in their

entirety, you should constantly review

them and you should put into practice what

you've learned through speaking or

writing or both. If you're still

having trouble, you should use the

infinite number of resources that are

out there -- including my own -- to help you.

Just keep repeating the process

until you've mastered it.
