Youtube daily report Jan 15 2017

Hey Youtubers, it's Charlie so much awesome news HBO was the TCAs this past week.

They teased a whole bunch of really cool stuff that's coming down the road they're more episodes

coming than we originally thought, which is awesome this also news on the spinoff, that

they are now very definitely doing so there is a new round of the game of thrones giveaway

that starts now it's for one of the enhanced additions of the books.

All you have to do to enter is be a subscriber and leave a comment on this video winners

are usually announced at the end of videos when there's a round that's ending be sure

to click that bell to enable alerts so you don't miss anything.

So whole bunch of news all of it is really good is like the stuff that you want to hear

the make you feel little bit better even though game of thrones is like slowly coming to an

end, so number five the HBO people were presenting all their new series for this year to the

television critics this past week, they always get a ton a game of thrones questions even

though they didn't bring any game of thrones stuff they revealed that the show has not

been formally renewed for season eight just because there still going back and forth on

what the final episode count is going to be meeting we could get more episodes next year

for season eight.

Right now this year season seven is capped at seven episodes, it sounds like a bummer,

but each of the episodes is going to be longer crazier and looking back at the previous seasons.

I don't really think of any of the older episodes is filler but more money and more action going

into fewer episodes sounds like a good thing right now season eight is supposed to be six

episodes, so when they say there could be more episodes I could turn into seven it could

turn into a just like a set number of hours that Dan and Dave wanted to tell and it's

probably going to be a while before they decide because they don't start filming again till

way later this year they'll probably have some more news about that when we get the

comic con number for the money is also a big reason for fewer episodes the HBO is happy

to spend it.

Each new season.

It gets more and more expensive to do game of thrones because a doing bigger battles

there doing more dragons so.

Just for example, this is totally not judge to break down some of the finances on game

of thrones during season six the episodes cost an average of about $10 million per episode

that's about $100 million for the season.

The battle of the Bastard's episode was way more than that.

So just for example a normal episode of an hour-long drama on a big network like a really

big show is closer to like three or $4 million per episode on a smaller cable network is

way less than that.

So HBO it just like shoveling money out to do episodes of game of thrones there totally

happy to spend is much as it takes to make it as crazy as possible but there's a limit

to that like they just can't spend 200 $250 million on a single season of TB they don't

get that much money from subscribers.

That's where HBO's money comes from.

Don't sell ads on their stuff they get money when people subscribe to HBO's channel, so

number three.

That's where you get to the spinoff one way to keep those costs under control is to start

a spinoff where you get to wipe the slate clean bring in a bunch of new actors that

don't cost as much and you can do a really awesome story and a vastly smaller price point.

So this past week, in the same breath when they were talking about doing more episodes

during season eight.

They were also asked about the spinoff they get asked about spinoffs every year and they

typically say the same thing you know, maybe were thinking about it were probably gonna

do a spinoff this year though they said that they would be stupid to not do a spinoff.

So if you're starting to worry that there might be a time when there is no game of thrones

on television.

That's probably not going to happen it will be a prequel but they haven't decided on what

that's going to be George R Martin is still finishing wins a winter which he says is going

to be done this year.

We'll talk about that eventually to, but he's been pointing them to all the best stuff to

do for a spinoff remember a spinoff would have to go for about seven season so it just

depends on what kind of material they want to mine and how much action they wanted to

be what kind of series.

They wanted to be.

So the big three pics right now are tales of dunk and Egg Aegon's conquest in the dance

of the dragons if you haven't read the books at 40 done videos about what the stories are

so I'll add some links at the end of this video, but HBO in general sounds like it wants

to keep the game of thrones creative team like the producers the people that righted

the people that actually make it like the actual people to work on a day-to-day together

or whatever the spinoff is going to be but last year Dan and Dave said that the main

series might be the end of their day-to-day involvement.

So even if they do bring in new show runners, it sounds like Dan and Dave would still stay

on his producers the basic take away is that the people that give you game of thrones would

essentially be the same people that will give you a spinoff just the behind-the-scenes some

things we get shuffled around a little and even though he still finishing a song of ice

and fire.

George R Martin would probably increase his role, especially at the initial stages just

to make sure that everything started off on the right foot so if you came late to game

of thrones what happened early on is is that George R Martin was heavily involved with

the first couple of seasons.

He wrote episodes each season.

But then as things got on.

Later he started to get pulled away by the book series trying to finish that.

So right now he isn't as involved with game of thrones on television as he used to be.

I would probably change with the spinoff in a couple years.

So number two.

What about the stories.

So I listed the three big pics but it really just depends on how much easier it gets to

do the CG dragons and really like any of the other CG elements.

They include usually special effects get better and cheaper each year.

So if you go all the way back to season one and watch Daenerys hatch dragons the CG looks

okay.

It still holds up relatively well but it was still kind of expensive at the time today

just a few years later, it's way easier way cheaper to do that but today there doing really

big Dragon.

So there still really expensive, but what they're doing today will be cheaper tomorrow

that's the big take away.

So it's not can be hard to do CG dragons in a couple years.

So dance the dragons or Aegon's conquest would be the most WTF action-packed stories for

them to adapt Aegon's conquest would be a little cheaper, just because there only three

dragons instead of a bunch of people fighting each other on Dragon back I can't even imagine

how expensive it would be to do regular Dragon Rider battles.

It will be the best thing ever.

But would probably crush HBO's budget.

So on the other side of that tales of dunk and Egg would be the cheapest because there

are no dragons they're just like a bunch of big crowd because their lot of tourneys a

lot of regular fighting on horseback is a really fun story it's kind of like a buddy

road trip story is not really a comedy but there is a lot of comedy imagine Brienne and

Podrick riding around that's kind of what tales of dunk and Egg would be like Scott

unfocused I didn't mean kosher to, so was a really fun story George

R Martin said that he's writing more for those characters in the future to but it doesn't

really have big red wedding level WTF twist like Aegon's conquest or dance of the dragons

most of you guys seem like you would rather see dance of the dragons than Aegon's conquest,

just because a lot of what Daenerys is doing in these final season is very similar to what

Aegon the conqueror did so in kind to be like doing the same story.

If they went back and did the conquest but the dance of the dragons has all the really

crazy stuff.

It's about a very different event with very different groups of characters.

But again all really solid picks.

What would probably happen is is that they wouldn't actually settle on what the spinoff

is going to be until after the final season of game of thrones the probably focus all

their energy on marketing season eight.

Next year and then as we get towards the end of that they'll announce what the next spinoff

is going to be develop that and then there might be like.

A year or two before they Premier that both the main series goes off the air in 2018.

That means it might be 2020, before we see the premier of the spinoff, but number one

when we actually going to get new footage of season seven got a little teaser at the

end of last year, which is sort of in keeping with their style like that like really small

stuff that they'll drop in December and then January the first trailer usually drops the,

because when they were filming season six it was like their normal filming schedule.

They had finished filming most of the episodes by the end of 2015, so they had all the footage

they needed to cut trailers this past year was different because winter has come to west

roast.

So they had to wait till later in the year to start filming.

Meaning that there a couple months behind.

So with the first real trailer usually dropped in January.

That means we might not get the first season seven trailer until February or March because

there's such a big delay this year like season seven might not premier till late in June

will probably try to do some extra cool stuff just to keep the fans happy market the series

just keep everybody calm down till the premier.

So as of right now there still filming episodes but they films most of the series.

They have is much footage is they need to cut a trailer.

So it will probably be a little while but they have a new series called the young Pope

this premiering later this month.

They might use that to promote some game of thrones stuff, so we might get some more game

of thrones teasers while that series is on the air, but as for the actual footage last

year was all about teasing Jon Snow's return Daenerys breaking the wheel of slavers Bay

this year.

It's all about Daenerys's conquest in the war for the Dawn so expect whatever teasers

they drop to hype up Daenerys versus Cersei and Jon Snow versus the nights king, so everyone's

converging before a big season-long battle with the white walkers next year.

So this is all about the characters coming together clashing sort of like a war of the

five kings only now it's much more centralized will still be doing weekly bonus videos until

the season gets here.

If you want to leave requests for my next game of thrones video.

Just put in the comments I'll say congratulations to this week's game of thrones giveaway winner

Governments Passing Laws For Robots - Duration: 7:37.

THE EUROPEAN UNION IS THINKING OF WAYS TO REGULATE THE

EMERGENCE OF ROBOTS AND ROBOTS THAT MAY HAVE ARTIFICIAL

INTELLIGENCE.

THIS IS A PREEMPTIVE STRIKE ON SOME OF THE DOWNSIDES OF

SUCH TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES AND I THINK IT IS INTERESTING

BECAUSE THEY'VE THOUGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING FROM MAKING SURE

THAT THERE IS INSURANCE IN PLACE IF THESE ROBOTS CAUSE ANY

DAMAGE TO HAVING CERTAIN KILL SWITCHES IN PLACE IN CASE

THESE ROBOTS TURN AGAINST US, IT IS KIND OF AMAZING.

THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT HAS URGED THE DRAFTING OF A SET

OF REGULATIONS TO GOVERN AND USE, I'M SORRY TO GOVERN

THE USE AND CREATION OF ROBOTS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE,

INCLUDING A FORM OF ELECTRONIC PERSONHOOD TO ENSURE RIGHTS

AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE MOST CAPABLE A.I.

THAT LAST PART SEEMS KIND OF WEIRD, BUT WHAT IT IS REALLY

ABOUT HAS TO DO WITH TAXES BECAUSE THINK ABOUT HOW A

LOT OF EUROPEAN COUNTRIES WORK.

THEY HAVE A ROBUST SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM IN PLACE

AND IN ORDER TO FUND AND ALLOW THAT TYPE OF SYSTEM TO

THRIVE, YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT EMPLOYEES PAY TAXES.

IF YOU ARE EMPLOYING ROBOTS TO DO THE JOBS THAT HUMANS USE

TO DO, THEN THESE PROGRAMS ARE NOT GOING TO HAVE THE FUNDS

NECESSARY TO MOVE FORWARD AND SO THEY ARE TRYING TO THINK OF

WAYS TO SEE IF IT MAKES SENSE FOR EMPLOYERS TO PAY A

CERTAIN TAX THAT WOULD COVER THOSE LOSSES.

LET ME GIVE YOU MORE DETAILS.

ONE PERSON WRITES, WHAT WE NEED NOW IS TO CREATE A LEGAL

FRAMEWORK FOR THE ROBOTS THAT ARE CURRENTLY ON THE MARKET OR

WILL BECOME AVAILABLE OVER THE NEXT 10 TO 15 YEARS.

THAT IS FROM A MEP FROM LUXEMBOURG.

ALSO THE CREATION OF A EUROPEAN AGENCY FOR ROBOTICS AND

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HAS BEEN

PROPOSED.

HERE ARE MORE THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN PROPOSED: AN

ADVISORY CODE OF CONDUCT FOR ROBOTICS ENGINEERS AIMED AT

GUIDING THE ETHICAL DESIGN, PRODUCTION AND USE OF ROBOTS.

A NEW REPORTING STRUCTURE FOR COMPANIES REQUIRING THEM TO

REPORT THE CONTRIBUTION OF ROBOTICS AND ARTIFICIAL

INTELLIGENCE TO THE ECONOMIC RESULTS OF THE COMPANY FOR

THE PURPOSE OF TAXATION AND SOCIAL SECURITY CONTRIBUTIONS.

THERE IS MORE BUT THOSE ARE THE ONES THAT REALLY STOOD OUT.

SO EMPLOYERS WHO ELIMINATE THEIR ENTIRE WORKFORCE WOULD

HAVE TO PAY SOME OF THE BENEFITS THAT THEIR EMPLOYEES

WOULD'VE PAID HAD THEY KEPT THEM.

GREAT, MAKE A LITTLE LESS MONEY.

GOOD, THEY ARE BEING PROACTIVE.

I DON'T KNOW A LOT

ABOUT THIS, BUT I KNOW I SAW ALL 10 EPISODES OF WESTWORLD AND

THIS CAN GO VERY WRONG.

I THINK THEY SHOULD BE AWARE OF THAT.

THEIR APPROACH IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE APPROACH IN

THE UNITED STATES BECAUSE HERE WE JUST KIND OF ALLOWED THE

TECHNOLOGY TO ADVANCE WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT SOME OF

THE DOWNSIDES OR RAMIFICATIONS AND THEN WE ARE LIKE, MAYBE

WE SHOULD REGULATE THAT.

KIND OF LIKE WITH THE INTERNET AND THINGS LIKE THE

GOVERNMENT SPYING ON US USING EMAILS OR PHONE CALLS AND

THINGS LIKE THAT.

LAWS THAT WE ALREADY HAD WEREN'T UP TO DATE TO DEAL WITH

THAT KIND OF SPYING, SO THIS IS KIND OF INTERESTING TALK.

I THINK THIS IS REALLY COOL BECAUSE YOU ARE SEEING EUROPE

TAKE A VERY PROACTIVE BUT ALSO CAUTIOUS APPROACH TO ARTIFICIAL

INTELLIGENCE AND ROBOTICS AND I THINK SOMETHING I THOUGHT WAS

INTERESTING WAS ALL THE DESIGNERS, PRODUCERS, AND

OPERATORS SHOULD GENERALLY BE GOVERNED BY THE THREE LAWS OF

ROBOTICS AND THAT IS FROM THE SCIENCE FICTION WRITER ISSAC

ASIMOV.

BASICALLY, THESE LAWS ARE LIKE THAT ROBOTS

SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO KILL HUMANS, THEY SHOULDN'T LOOK LIKE HUMANS,

AND THEY HAVE THESE LAWS IN PLACE SO THAT, THEY SAY 10 TO

15, I AM GOING TO BE INTERESTED IN FIVE YEARS FROM NOW, I

THINK THIS POLICY THAT THEY ARE PUTTING FORWARD WILL LOOK

ANTIQUATED BECAUSE I THINK ROBOTS ARE ADVANCING SO FAST.

THERE WAS JUST THE NORTH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AUTO

SHOW THAT WENT OM AND ONE OF THE MAJOR THINGS THAT PEOPLE

WERE TALKING ABOUT WAS SELF DRIVING CARS.

I WAS THINKING WESTWORLD, BUT TO A LESSER DEGREE, WE ARE ALREADY

SEEING ROBOTS THAT NEED TO BE INSURED AND HAVE SOME SORT OF

LEGAL PROTECTION.

AND RESPONSIBILITY.

CERTAINLY A LEGAL DEFINITION.

THE SELF DRIVING CARS, THAT IS AMAZING.

I WOULD SAY THEY WANT TO HAVE THEM OUT ON THE ROAD IN 2020.

YEAH, IN FOUR YEARS.

IT SEEMS INCONCEIVABLE TO ME THAT I COULD GET BEHIND

THAT BUT I GUESS PEOPLE COMING BEHIND ME WILL GET BEHIND

IT AND THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE TO DRIVE.

THE THOUGHT OF GIVING UP THAT CONTROL, BUT THAT IS A

DIFFERENT STORY.

YOU SEE ASHLEY MORGAN, THE INTERNATIONAL LEGAL FROM

OSBORNE CLARK SAYS THE PROPOSALS WILL BE CONTROVERSIAL.

ONE COULD ARGUE THAT THE LAW WOULD GRANT HUMAN RIGHTS TO

ROBOTS AND IT IS NOT GOING IN GO DOWN EASY WITH COMPANIES

CREATING ROBOTS OF THEIR OWN.

THERE'S GOING TO BE TREMENDOUS PUSHBACK

FROM THE COMPANIES THAT ARE DOING THAT, THE VERY PEOPLE THAT

ARE BRINGING US ROBOTS.

MY IDEA IS THE WHOLE ISSUE OF PERSONHOOD HAS MORE TO

DO WITH THE LOSS OF FUNDING THAT CERTAIN PROGRAMS ARE GOING

TO EXPERIENCE IN EUROPE, BUT WHO KNOWS?

IN THE U.S., CORPORATIONS ARE CONSIDERED HUMANS.

THEY ARE CONSIDERED PEOPLE THAT HAVE FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS

SO WHO KNOWS HOW IT IS GOING TO PLAY OUT IN EUROPE.

I WANTED TO MENTION ONE OTHER THING THOUGH, THIS IS

SOMETHING I DISAGREED WITH.

ONE OF THE PROPOSALS WAS IF THERE IS A HUMANOID ROBOT

WITH GREAT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, VERY EFFECTIVE,

ADVANCED, THEY WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THESE ROBOTS ARE

NOT TOO HUMAN AND IT IS VERY OBVIOUS THAT THEY ARE ROBOTS

SO ACTUAL HUMANS DON'T HAVE AN EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT TO THEM.

IMPOSSIBLE, THEY CAN'T STOP THAT.

IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN.

I THINK THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO COULD

BENEFIT, EVEN IF IT IS AN EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT TO A

ROBOT, I THINK THERE IS A BENEFIT.

IF SOMEONE IS LONELY

AND THEY FOUND LOVE WITH A ROBOT, WHY IS IT OUR BUSINESS?

WATCH HER.

JOAQUIN PHOENIX.

HER WAS GREAT.

A DISEMBODIED VOICE.

ALL THE PROPAGANDA THAT IS ALWAYS TELLING WOMEN THAT IF

YOU ARE OVER 30, SPECIFICALLY A WOMAN OF COLOR YOU ARE PROBABLY

NOT GOING TO BE MARRIED OR FIND A MATE, GET YOU A ROBOT, GIRL.

IT GOES BOTH WAYS.

WE'RE NOT EVEN TALKING, I AM NOT TALKING TO BE TRYING TO

BE CRASS, BUT THE SEX IS GOING TO BE -

AMAZING.

I WASN'T GOING TO GO WITH THAT.

SEX MACHINES ALL THE TIME IS GOING TO BE AMAZING.

YOU IMAGINE, JUST LIKE THE VIRTUAL-REALITY WORLD THAT IS

GOING TO BE DRIVEN IN LARGE PART BY THE SEX INDUSTRY THAT I

PRESUME THIS WILL TOO.

THIS WOMAN HAD A GREAT QUOTE, IF

I CREATE A ROBOT AND THAT ROBOT CREATES SOMETHING THAT COULD

BE PATENTED, DO I OWN THE PATENT OR DOES THE ROBOT?

WE'RE GOING TO GET TO A POINT WHERE ROBOTS ARE GOING TO

BE MAKING A TON OF THESE DECISIONS, KIND OF.

WE CAN ARGUE

THAT THEY ARE AUTONOMOUS DECISIONS OR NOT BUT THE

CONVERSATION, AT LEAST EUROPE IS STARTING IT.

WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO THESE PROPERTIES AND WHO IS

RESPONSIBLE, WHO IS LIABLE IN THE CASE OF, THERE WAS A 300

POUND SECURITY ROBOT THAT RAN OVER THE KID IN CALIFORNIA

THAT HAPPENED OVER THE SUMMER, THERE WAS A DISCUSSION

ABOUT WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE THOUGH OBVIOUSLY THIS IS A

LESS ADVANCED ROBOT THAN WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THAN IN

THE FUTURE, BUT WAS IT THE ROBOTS FAULT?

IT MIGHT GET TO A POINT WHERE YOU CAN BLAME A ROBOT BECAUSE

IF THEY HAVE ENOUGH ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE THERE COULD BE AN

ARGUMENT MADE WHERE SOMEONE SAID THE ROBOT SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER.

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW THIS PLAYS OUT.

I HOPE I AM ALIVE.

I WANT THEM TO START BLAMING THEM FOR ALL THE CRIMES LIKE

THEY DO MEN OF COLOR AND THEN THERE WILL BE ROBOT PRISON.

THAT'S WHY THEY HAVE THE KILL SWITCH.

WE'RE NOT EVEN ENTERTAINING THE IDEA OF PRISON.

WE'RE JUST GOING TO KILL THEM.

I LOVE WHAT IT SAYS, YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT THE ROBOT

DOES NOT LOVE YOU.

THE ROBOT DOESN'T LOVE YOU.

IT'S KIND OF SAD.

I DON'T KNOW, IT MAKES ME SAD.

'Deadpool 2' Will See the Return of Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus - Duration: 1:04.

For Complex News, I'm Hanuman Welch.

The script for Deadpool 2 is still in the works and production is expected to start

sometime this year.

After losing director Tim Miller and composer Junkie XL on the sequel, Deadpool 2 has a

bit of good news to share.

Collider is reporting that writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick said definitively that Negasonic

Teenage Warhead and Colossus will definitively "be in the sequel."

Wernick admitted, "They'll at least make an appearance."

We also know that Cable will play a big role.

So how many characters are going to be in this flick?

Reese and Wernick's full conversation with Collider drops on Friday, but over on the

Nerdist, Reese and Wernick shared that one other character will be returning for the

sequel.

Karan Soni will be back as the fan-favorite character, Dopinder.

During the Q&A, Wenick said

"I would say that the relationship between Dopinder and Deadpool was the most fun for

me.

I love that relationship and I love that character.

And he'll be in the sequel."

Dead pool hits theaters at some point in 2018.

That's all for now.

The Amateur's Guide to Playing: Kapkan - Duration: 3:28.

Kapkan's an interesting one to talk about, because for a guy whose gadget makes him rather

meh to play, he's a shit ton of fun if you know how to use him.

Every Kapkan player desires for the moment when they get the trap placements just right,

because when they do, no kill ever feels so satisfying.

Unlike Fuze, who is pretty much a "press button for instant ace" Operator, Kapkan takes quite

a bit of thought, knowledge, and luck to do well with.

The reason for that is his gadget's laser, which becomes a dead giveaway in some maps.

Due to this, (most) Kapkan players follow the simple golden rule of Kapkan:

Besides Fuze, Kapkan is the only Operator in the game whose viability changes depending

on the objective or map being played.

In Kapkan's case, playing him on night maps makes him a dead weight to his team, because

there's no sunlight to help mask the laser.

If you believe yourself to be knowledgeable enough to know where to put your traps, your

games should all have something in common.

Kapkan also has 3 minor rules.

Rule #1: Only pro Kapkan players use the Elite skin.

Rule #2: Never place traps on windows, because they're always visible, even in sunlight.

Rule #3: Never place your traps in the objective room, because they can be easily taken out

by enemy explosives.

So long as you commit these key factors to memory, you'll be fine.

Thank you for watching.

Oh.

I mean, at least I'm new around here.

You're his siblings!

Seriously, though, do you guys ever think about anybody

She's right.

We really dropped the ball on this one.

I'm sorry.

Yeah.

Time to go home, dude.

Hey!

Jimmy's my guy, and I say he stays.

Oh yeah?

He's your boyfriend? - No.

He is my guy.

We don't do labels.

Well, I'm not-- I'm not opposed to a label, though.

Shut up, Jimmy.

You guys suck!

We never forgot Little Ben's birthday before you showed up.

Yeah.

You're the one who's always babbling

on about how you're the boss.

I am the boss.

Well, then act like one.

Fine!

I'll fix this myself.

Yeah!

Take a mulligan.

You tell him it's his birthday this weekend.

He's not going to know the difference.

See?

There we go, Jimmy.

That's my guy.

Thank you.

All right, what did you guys do for birthdays around here

when you were his age?

Uh, well, I flew 15 of my closest friends

to Paris for Fashion Week?

I took batting practice at Yankee Stadium.

How to remove a small broken screw from a piece of wood - Duration: 4:47.

Hi everybody, I'm Mike McCrory and this is

Wood U Make it.

So, I was making this jewelry box and, as I was finishing

tightening in one of the screws in the hinge, the screw sheared off.

So, in this video I'm going to show you how I go about

repairing something like that and the

way I'm going to do it is

I've got this drill bit that I've purchased from Woodcraft

for about ten dollars. It's relatively inexpensive.

So the way it works is it drills a cylinder around the

broken-off screw so I can drill around it,

break off the piece of wood, and pull the

screw out

So... let's get started!

So, I've removed the screws and both hinges and

now I've got two sheared off screws.

So that just shows you how soft the brass screws are.

I removed all the screws. I''m going to patch two of them after I

extract the two that are broken off, and

then I'm going to replace all the screws

with a new set because the heads are a

little bit messed up now.

Before using the extractor I need to

cut 1/4 inch hole into a piece of

wood so that it can be used as a guide.

Otherwise the drill bit would slide

around and be a little bit uncontrolled.

There's the screw without a head

These are the pieces that I need to remove

I'm not sure there's any right way of doing it.

I started with a screwdriver and then used a pair of pliers to pull the screw out.

It's almost like being a dentist.

So now I've plugged the holes with some quarter inch dowel.

Those are the pieces that I've removed

and now i just need to trim the ends of

the dowels to be flush with the bottom of the mortise.

Alright so I've got the dowels trimmed down

with the chisel and now I'm going to

take a couple of extra precautions.

One is i'm going to use a gimlet to thread

the hole. I'm gonna use that instead of

the steel screw that Brusso provided with

their hinges. And the other is I'm going

to use a little bit of wax on the screw

to make it slide in just that much easier

so there's less friction while I'm

twisting in the screw and I think that's

going to make it a much better solution

than my first attempt which caused a

couple of the screws to shear off.

Now I want to make sure I don't overdo it

here because now instead of drilling

into the edge of the piece of birds eye

maple, I'm drilling into the end grain of

a birch dowel, so it's definitely going

to be softer than what I started with.

This set of gimlets that I have is really inexpensive.

You can get a set of four of

these for $5 from Woodcraft,

so there's really no reason not to have a set.

Now i'm just adding a little bit of paste wax to each screw

to minimize the amount of friction

It's incredible the difference that this has made.

The screws turn in so easily now!

So now everything's back to normal as if

I've never had the problem in the first place.

Now I can go back to finishing up my jewelry box project!

SALORA PROSPORT WIFI PSC9360UWD UNBOXING -- SALORA 9360 ACTIONCAM -- STEFANIE MARIA LAURA - Duration: 12:55.

Hi everyone my name is Stefanie, welcome to my channel. Today I have an unboxing

video of the salora actioncam. Now, Salora is a company based in The Netherlands

and I believe they sell all throughout Europe.

I have the Salora -now let me get this- let me get this right for you, I have the Salora Pe ... Pro ...

I have the Salora Prosport Wifi PSC9360UWD which is a very long term for Salora 9360.

That's this camera we're going to unbox it in a minute. It sells for 159 euro I believe,

which is a very good price for the specs that it has.

Now, today I'm going to do the unboxing, then in a couple of weeks I'm going to do a full on review.

I am gonna go through the menu and the remote control and the app and everything like that.

But the actual review will be in a couple of weeks when I've had the chance to test it out and see what it can do.

So, I'm going to turn you around and then we're going to unbox this thing!

Okay, on to the unboxing part of this video. So it comes in this really nice case, like most actioncameras do.

It's a really sturdy case so that's good, packaging is good!

And then we have our camera and our remote control and the camera is already in the waterproof housing,

so let's take that off first and then when we open the box we have a selfie stick mount, or tripod mount.

Then there's a whole lot of mounting systems and straps ... this is the cable and then obviously the charger.

More mounts, ... this is a backup backdoor for your waterproof case, then there's a lens cloth, more mounts,

straps, more mounts, more straps and I believe this is a bike handle mount or something like that.

And then at the bottom of the box there are some folders and the manual.

I believe that is more than enough, but I do believe that this camera is also compatible with GoPro mounting

systems and on their website -on the Salora website- they offer a whole bunch of extra accessories.

You should definitely check that out, they have like the floaty handle and stuff like that so ... extra batteries and

I believe they also have waterproof housings.

Now, let's check this out first! Yeah, I like that. When it makes that snapping sound, when you open and close it

so that you know it's ... it's actually shut and this one goes off aswell so that's an extra mount.

Now, this waterproof housing ... it can go to 30 meters under water, which is nice but ...

if you're scuba diver it still might not be enough for you. It's a great beginner's actioncamera for diving I'd say

but when you want to go deeper than 30 meters this won't do and I don't believe they have waterproof

housings that can go deeper. I'll check it out, I'll put it in the description but I don't think they do.

Okay, so let's take a little closer look on the camera! It says right here Salora 9360.

It is a beautiful, compact device, it has a built-in screen on the front and the back.

Then there's 3 buttons on here, the mode and power button, the shutter and select button and

then to the side, there's the wifi button and this one also lets you go back in the menu.

Then on this side, we have a microphone, a micro SD slot and here you can put your HDMI or your micro USB cable.

And then on the top we have a speaker.

Obviously you need a microSD card, this device can take the 16 gigabyte and the 32 gigabyte but since

this camera can shoot 4k and ultra HD you want to make sure that your microSD card is minimum a class 10.

I don't know if you can see that, it's really small but it says right there in the left corner -under the 32 gb-

it says class 10. So that's something you do want to make sure. Mine is a SanDisk.

I'm really happy with this one so ...yeah. I'm just going to put that in.

First let me tell you a little bit about the front screen. So you can see your battery life, you can see the resolution

that you are filming in -so 1080p at 60 frames per second- which is full HD. Then you can see

that it is in the video mode and this has a little wifi symbol. Then you can switch to a different mode using

this button and you're going to see it on the front aswell as the back. So now you're in photo mode,

then we have a burst mode, a time lapse, and then something really cool, that I'm really, really curious

about, how this is gonna work ... we have a 360 virtual reality mode, so if this works ...

then wauw, for that price, ... just wauw! Then the next thing we have is the video playback mode, the photo

playback mode and then the settings. Now let's get into the settings first, you can go into the settings

using the select button on the top. So it's now in 1080p 60 frames per second which is the one that I'm going

to use anyway because I don't think my laptop can do the 4k editing but if you want to do this,

that's really great! So you have the 60 frames, the 30 frames. The 60 frames is going to be really good

for slow motion, so yeah, I leave it at that. The photo resolution you can do is 12 megapixel, 8 megapixel

or 5 megapixel. I'm gonna leave that at 12. You can do loops and then there's light, date, exposure,

burst photos -he always takes 3 photo's in burst mode. Then there's time laps -you can do 2 seconds, 3 seconds,

5, 10, 20, 30 or 60 seconds-. You can do a continuous lapse and then there's a power frequency, the language,

date and time, sound indicator, upside-down, screensaver and then power saver, formats and reset

and the version.Okay, the next thing we're going to take a little look at is the remote control, so obviously at

the back, the screen saver is now on, so the screen is off. You can easily turn it on by pressing any button,

so now you can see the screen is on again and then if you want to start filming ... there you go!

We're now just filming, and you can stop it again. If you want to take a picture you can do that too.

And I am going to put myself a little bit further away and see how far this thing actually works.

So if you're using a selfie stick ... there you go! That works! I'm gonna go a little bit further away ...

Wow that's .... that's really impressive actually! There you go, you can just have it on your arm like that and then

just ... start filming ... and that's really nice because that way you don't have to constantly be able to reach your

buttons, so if you have it on the selfie stick, you can do this from this from a little bit further away!

Now the last thing I want to show you is this app, it's called Ez iCam and you can connect this

with your camera and that way you can use the 360 virtual reality. Now, it does not support 4K of 2.7K

but it does support 1080p which obviously is great quality as well. The app is available for both

iOS and Android. So what you want to do is, you want to download the app on your phone obviously.

Then you want to turn on your camera, whoops I just turned it off; so you want to turn it on!

There you go, and then you want to make sure that it is in video mode. Turn on your Wi-Fi and then it says

'wait for wifi signal". You want to make sure that you turn to your wifi connection in your phone

and right here you're going to somewhere find -there you go- the iCam Salora 9360 VR.

And you want to connect!

Yep, wifi connection! And this way you should be able to make a 360 video with this camera.

And I'm going to obviously test that out a little further but that's the way you can do it!

So I think that is everything there is to know about the menu of this camera and the app and remote control.

So that was it for the unboxing you guys! Thank you so much for watching!

Like I said I am gonna do a full on review of this camera and I'm gonna get back to you in a couple of weeks

but I have to play with it first a little bit and see what it can do. If you liked watching this video

please give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe and click the little bell, like it's somewhere down there!

Click the little bell so you get the notifications when the video is up. If there's any questions that you have,

that you want me to test for this camera, leave them down in the comments and I will definitely do my

best to answer all of your questions! Thank you for watching and see you next time! Bye!

Hot N New: Red Dirt Road 22X14 -76 Matte Black - Duration: 3:20.

Hey guys, it's Shawn again.

Custom Offsets, CustomOffsetsTV on the YouTube.

Got another episode, of Hot N New for you.

This is gonna be the Red Dirt Road RD01.

Now we've done this one already.

The difference is this guy caught all of our eye

because this is a 22X14,

it's a negative 76 offset,

and it's got a massive lip on it,

it's got an eight inch lip on it,

the entire thing is a matte black finish

and then it's coming around with

the machined Red Dirt Road and then

the machined dimples across the front.

You can see it's a super, super clean wheel.

Super easy to clean.

It's just a really simple big blocky, what is that?

Two, four, six, eight spoke wheel.

This one, and it's gonna have the covered cap,

and on the back you would see that it's

dual-drilled six lugs

so if it's a Ford F150s, the newer ones,

and then also the 6X135, six lug basically Ford F150s

and then 6X5.5 Chevy Silverado 1500

and I believe the Nissan Titan's are the same

so this six lug Chevy and Titans.

Here's why we pulled this one out.

Four of these on your doorstep

$1,162 for all four of them for 22X14's.

That's just unheard of so it grabbed our attention

right away when we saw that come to market

coming in at that price point

we had a feeling that you guys would want to know that.

The other thing, I'm sitting here looking at this

and basically you could take this wheel

and you can pair it up with the

AMP Mud Terrain Attack MTA

and it's a 325/50/R22.

This is the same tire that we put on the Seal Hummer

and what it does is it's a 13 wide tire

so it has very, very, very little stretching

and it gives you that mud tire look of about a 35.

It's about a 35X13.

When you do that with this wheel and that tire

you're talking like $2,500.

It's just barely over $2,500, $2,516.

All four, mounted, balanced, shipped to your doorstep

ready to bolt on.

Of course if you don't have aftermarket lug nuts

you want to grab some lug nuts

but those are like $40 or something like that.

We just wanted to bring this to you

as basically a hot wheel in a new size

because it absolutely blew our mind

that for $2,500 you can have a set of

four of these with a set of 35X13 basically mud tires

and it's a good tire, we've had a lot of luck with it so far

we've been testing it out, like I said,

on that heavy-ass hummer and we've been super happy with it

so just wanted to bring this one to you real quick.

Make sure you guys subscribe.

As we catch stuff like this

we'll bring it forward to you

because we just think it's a phenomenal buy.

We've seen quite a few people run the RDR's

with a lot of success as far as the quality of them

and everything so as you can tell

we're pretty excited about it

and we hope that you appreciated this service bulletin.

Peace.

17.Cycling Africa - Episode 8 - South Africa - Duration: 6:14.

This really makes me happy

The first sign announcing...

Cape Town!

It is currently December 25th here in South Africa

And what a great gift I have for Christmas

I am now done with the Karoo desert!

I have been cycling in that desert for 8 days now

I was really starting to get sick of being in that desert for so long

Since I entered South Africa through the Northern border

I had to cross the Karoo desert which starts South of Kimberley

According to Wikipedia, Karoo means "land of the thirst"

I won't contradict Wikipedia on this one considering the color and the height of the vegetation of the area

Since the Karoo wasn't the first desert I crossed

The temperature never dropping below 40 degrees in the afternoon never bothered me

However, the strong winds were very difficult to deal with

and made the journey very difficult

Everyone who has gone on a long bicycle trip

knows that after a few thousand kilometers, mechanical problems will occur

Repairing sessions like this one have been very frequent in South Africa

Since the start, all the problems I had were with the wheels

My front tire tore up during my second day in the country

Yesterday this happened to me

Oh yeah... Another broken tire

It is broken in many spots

Here, there...

It is very weary. It was about time that I changed it.

The spokes of my back wheel were also in a pretty bad shape

I have to say that cycling 7000 km on the original 1980 spokes wasn't a great idea

Fortunately, after going through Meiringspoort

I made it to the small Karoo

which is much nicer that the big one

It's 15 degrees today and those guys are swimming

It's an amazing place but it is so cold at the moment

The little Karoo has a lot of wine farms and small farm stalls along the road selling local produce

like biltong, fruits, beer etc.

If I was staying in the Sudanese, Ethiopian or Zambian countryside

I would try to grow and cook food as good as the one available in the South Africans winelands

Isn't taking a nap after a good lunch and a glass of wine the real life?

Since Christmas, I keep cycling through those epic mountain passes and along beautiful scenic roads

I also had great tail winds and nice weather

Look at this road

When you cycle on roads like this one

It really lifts your spirits

What makes this day special

is that it is my second day cycling along the coastline

and look what I have in front of me

Right there is Devil's Peak

This is Cape Town right there accross False Bay

Come on start the song

3, 2, 1

Today's my last day on the bike

After that, I'm done

Editing Guest Writers' Work | Daily D. 034 - Duration: 3:59.

Hi, everybody. Dylan Robertson here.

You've tuned into my vlog, the Daily D.

Thanks for stopping by.

Today I'm going to be doing a lot of

editing work. I run 3 publications

on Medium and have a lot of guest

writers submitting pieces. Today I'll be

editing a personal yoga journey story by

a guy who calls himself a mystic;

somebody who seeks and wants

to experience and learn spiritual

knowledge. His is a bit different to a

lot of the other stories I've been

receiving. A bit more on the hippy-dippy

side, but it'll be interesting.

It was given to me in a very

unstructured format. Very poetic, a bit

all over the place. My job as editor

is to make it coherent and something

which will work on Medium.

Something which readers can relate

to and find readable. My goal is to

get them into the story and have them

read to the end. This is something

which I deal with constantly. I

have a wide variety of guest writers.

Some of them, their native language is not

English, and they struggle to write and

express themselves. Others are native

English speakers, but they're definitely

not writers. They don't know how to

structure their thoughts. They're a bit all

over the place. They don't know how to

use proper punctuation, grammar, they'll

write huge walls of text that I have to

break up and often reorder so that

it's more coherent. Editing

a lot of fun. I like to organize

things. I like to line things up

nicely, polish things up, and take

something rough, refine it and

add value to it. Make it something which

is usable. When I was a

kid, I used to love seeing people who

would get old classic cars, or even

cars we didn't classify as classic,

but were interesting, and they

would restore, polish up,

soup-up and modify these cars and create

fantastic machines which were

so interesting and beautiful to look at.

I guess that appealed to my nature.

This is what I do with everything in

life. I like to organize, polish,

and refine things. It's something

which is well suited to

editing. It does get me in trouble

because I find myself going back to

edit old posts or stories

which have been published

years ago and nobody is ever going to

look at again, but I stumbled across

something which could have been better

formatted or better worded. It's a

it's a mixed blessing. I'm not the

best editor in the world. I use tools

such as Grammarly and other things

to help me. I'm constantly looking up

better ways to improve my craft and ways

to work things. How about you? Have you

ever submitted a piece to a publication?

Have you dealt with an editor?

What was it like? What are your thoughts

on the best way to put together a

successful story for Medium? Let me

know in the comments below.

Thanks for watching.

Cheers!
