Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

Kanye made it clear shortly after the 2016 MTV music awards that he wanted to help design

uniforms for all public schools in Chicago to end classism and bullying.

Now, TMZ is reporting that he may be one step closer to that goal, but he's starting in

Calabasas first.

Of course, an unnamed source from TMZ is saying that West reportedly is eyeing an overhaul

of Calabasas High School's sports uniform.

We're told Yeezy's team recently met with school officials to pitch a collaboration

between Yeezy and CHS.

Our sources say he wants to change the school's colors and rename them from the Coyotes to

the Wolves…fitting, considering he has a song with the same name.

Kanye's love for Calabasas stretches far beyond it being his current place of residency.

In March Kanye launched a Calabasas Collection with Adidas which featured track pants, crew

necks and the Yeezy Calabasas Powerphase shoe.

He also added Calabasas items to his Yeezy Season 5 show at New York Fashion Week.

So far there has been no word of a possible redesign yet via the school's official website

or the athletics Twitter account.

If this collaboration does go through, the athletes at Calabasas high will be one group

of lucky students.

The History Of Every Canceled Batman Movie - Duration: 8:34.

The Caped Crusader's ongoing film saga ranks among the top five highest-grossing movie

franchises in the United States.

But he's also faced his share of setbacks along the way.

For every Bat-blockbuster that made its way to theaters, there's a take on the character

that unceremoniously died in development.

Here's the history behind every one of those canceled Batman movies.

The Batman

Getting Tim Burton's 1989 Batman onto the big screen was a difficult process.

Ten years before Michael Keaton made his Dark Knight debut, producers Benjamin Melniker

and Michael Uslan acquired the film rights to Batman so they could adapt the character

in the same vein as Superman.

They wanted to have a definitive, dark version of Batman on film, and producers Jon Peters

and Peter Guber agreed when they boarded the project in November 1979.

Four years later, the script by James Bond and Superman screenplay co-writer Tom Mankiewicz,

simply titled The Batman, was completed, focusing on Batman and Robin's origins, with the Joker

as the central villain.

While the Batman/007 version of Batman would have been awesome, the project went through

multiple developers and producers, losing bits and pieces along the way.

In the end, the studio hired Tim Burton to direct, who felt the treatment was too similar

to Superman and would be a better fit for a TV series.

He changed virtually every aspect of the movie, so while they didn't get everything they wanted,

the producers still got their darker version of Batman on the silver screen.

It just took a decade to make it happen.

Robin's spinoff

When Chris O'Donnell joined the franchise as Robin for 1995's Batman Forever, he seemed

poised for a long run as the character.

He returned for 1997's Batman & Robin, and planned to reprise his role in a possible

fifth film, but that never came to fruition.

Warner Bros. also briefly pursued a Robin spinoff, which O'Donnell confirmed as recently

as 2012.

As he told Access Hollywood,

"They were going to do [a Robin movie] back in the day.

Then [Batman & Robin] was such a bomb, they were like, 'Scrap that!'

That was the end of that."

Batman Unchained

Joel Schumacher told Variety that he'd always planned to make three Batman movies.

But unfortunately for everyone involved in Schumacher's Bat-saga, Batman & Robin tanked,

sending the franchise into years of development hell, and leaving that third movie unrealized.

The problems weren't just at the box office however.

Akiva Goldsman, who wrote the screenplays for Schumacher's first two Bat-flicks, opted

not to return for the next installment.

I Am Legend screenwriter Mark Protosevich took Goldsman's place and came up with the

name Batman Unchained, which focused on Scarecrow as the central villain.

Schumacher wanted Nicolas Cage play the fear-inducing bad guy, saying that he owed the world, quote,

"a real Batman movie."

But Batman & Robin crashed and burned, taking Batman Unchained with it.

Changing course completely, Warner Bros. started looking into the idea of making a Batman Beyond

or Batman: Year One film instead.

Batman: DarKnight

Writers Lee Shapiro and Stephen Wise had an idea for a full Bat-reboot.

This time, instead of Batman and Robin in their primes, the duo wanted to see Batman

retired, with Dick Grayson attending college.

In the proposed film, Dr. Jonathan Crane, better known as the Scarecrow, still played

a prominent role as a professor of psychology at Gotham University.

Also appearing?

Dr. Kirk Langstrom, who turns into the monstrous Man-Bat.

The two doctors get into a confrontation, and Crane accidentally initiates Kirk's transformation

into his bat-like form.

After seeing Man-Bat terrorize Gotham and —that the city's residents are mistaking

him for the real Batman — the Dark Knight comes out of retirement to clear his name.

The darker idea was pitched to the studio, but after being passed through multiple levels

of approval and a few confirmations from producers, the studio's director of development passed

on the movie.

Batman: Year One

Schumacher still wanted to give Batman fans a proper Caped Crusader, and his planned adaptation

of Frank Miller's Batman: Year One might have fulfilled that goal.

Ultimately, the studio parted ways with Schumacher and went with Requiem for a Dream director

Darren Aronofsky instead.

After hiring Aronofsky, the studio bolstered the project's pedigree further by bringing

Frank Miller himself on board to script.

In an interview with IGN, Aronofsky urged fans to, quote,

"...toss out everything you can imagine about Batman!

Everything!

We're starting completely anew."

Unfortunately, the studio didn't get into Miller's version of the script, so they hired

the Wachowskis of Matrix fame to write a treatment.

Again, the studio wasn't satisfied, so they turned to Joss Whedon, whose take also didn't

pass muster with the studio.

They finally ended up shelving the idea altogether in 2002.

Batman Beyond

Warner Bros. also floated the idea of making a Batman Beyond film inspired by the hit animated

show, which had debuted in 1999.

Bruce Timm and Paul Dini's series featured Terry McGinnis, a teenager who takes over

the mantle of Batman under the guidance of a retired Bruce Wayne.

The studio's movie division liked Batman Beyond so much that they wanted to make a live-action

version for the big screen.

They hired Remember the Titans director Boaz Yakin to helm the project, with Dini writing

the script.

Sources told Variety in 2000 that a Batman Beyond film didn't interfere with Warner Bros.'

plans to continue with a fifth Batman movie, but that changed quickly.

By August 2001, Dini said that the studio had shelved the live-action adaptation.

What's more, later that year the Batman Beyond animated series was cancelled.

Batman vs. Superman: Asylum

Long before Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hit the big screen, Warner

Bros. previously had plans to pit the DC Universe's two biggest heroes against each other.

Andrew Kevin Walker, who penned the incredibly dark Se7en, pitched an idea that involved

Batman coming out of retirement, shortly after his wife's death, to join a recently-divorced

Superman.

Until, of course, they're duped by Lex Luthor into fighting each other.

Sound familiar?

Akiva Goldsman, returning to the franchise once more, revised Walker's script in 2002,

which was enough to convince Warner Bros. to move forward with the project.

At least for a little while.

Wolfgang Petersen, director of Air Force One and The NeverEnding Story, intended to direct

the film in 2003.

But the project was derailed when JJ Abrams jumped into the fray with a script for a movie

called Superman: Flyby, which included a very different version of the Man of Steel.

According to Petersen, the studio decided to try separate versions of Superman and Batman

instead, resulting in Superman Returns and Batman Begins.

Justice League: Mortal

2017's Justice League wasn't the first attempt to bring Batman and the rest of the "league"

to the big screen.

In 2009, the first plan to bring D.C.'s heroes together came awfully close to hitting theaters.

Written by Kieran and Michele Mulroney, Justice League: Mortal was to be helmed by Mad Max

director George Miller.

Its cast included D.J.

Cotrona as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Adam Brody as

the Flash, Common as Green Lantern, and Teresa Palmer as Talia al Ghul, with Jay Baruchel

playing the villain Maxwell Lord.

Cameras were ready to roll, but the writers' strike of the late 2000s put a damper on the

movie.

The overwhelming success of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight convinced Warner Brothers

that a Justice League - with a different Batman - simply wouldn't work.

Justice League: Mortal is the Justice League movie that never was..

So when you're watching Ben Affleck throw down with Khal Drogo, just think about how

much crazier it would've been if the director of Mad Max had gotten to the League first…

The lower line is the most important one.

the shape.

handle a machine gun venue of this size we've got machine guns here that you're

not going to see at most machine gun shoots we've got a really really crazy

display of just really really interesting weapons and belt-fed

Browning's mini rail guns oh heck we have flamethrowers here we do explosions

all day long so it's not just a machine gun shoot we've got an inversion rack

you flip people upside down they've got to shoot while they're upside down we

have an 1,100 yard range so for the people that come and visit they're

actually watching explosions go off all day long so it's it's quite the show

everybody loves it

SPOKE AT TRUMP'S RALLIES WERE FEATURED IN HIS CAMPAIGN

ADS HAVE PARTED WAYS WITH THE ORGANIZATION.

THE CHARITY HAS DONE NOTHING TO HELP THEM FINANCIALLY,

DESPITE SUGGESTING THAT THE MONEY IT RAISED, INCLUDING

$52,000 OR MORE RACE WHICH RUNS HELP WOULD BE USED TO

ASSIST FAMILY MEMBERS.

THEY HAVE RAISED WAY MORE THAN $52,000.

THERE WAS ONE EVENT WHERE THEY HAD DONALD TRUMP SPEAK AND

PEOPLE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY PER PLATE JUST TO ATTEND THAT AND

THAT WAS WHERE THEY RAISED $52,000 AND THEN THERE WERE

OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT DONATED MONEY TO THEM, INCLUDING US INC.

THEY VOTED DONATED $57,500.

ANYWAY, THERE RAISING OWES MONEY.

THEY ARE NONPROFIT THAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE INVOLVED IN

POLITICS BUT THEY WERE VERY MUCH INVOLVED IN POLITICS.

THESE FAMILIES WHO WERE PARADED AROUND DURING THE RALLIES

AND DURING THE CAMPAIGN RECEIVED ACTUAL ABSOLUTE NO HELP SO

NOW THEY ARE UPSET.

ONE PERSON SAYS, RESPECT, WE WERE USED, ABUSED AND

EXPLOITED AND WHAT'S WORSE IS THAT MY SON WAS USED, ABUSED

AND EXPLOITED AND IS STILL BEING USED, ABUSED AND EXPLOITED.

THIS GROUP, SO HE COULD MAYBE HOLD THEM MORE ACCOUNTABLE.

OR KNOW TO WHAT DEGREE HE KNOWS ABOUT THE LATEST HE TELLS

IN THIS CASE AND BEFORE YOU GET TO WE BE I FOR BRENDA SPARKS AND

THE OTHERS WHO ARE SAYING THEY WERE EXPLOITED, FIRST OF ALL,

Capitalism 2.0 Will Include a Healthy Dose of Socialism | Eric Weinstein - Duration: 11:26.

I get asked a lot about the state of capitalism and I think that for those members of society

of a certain age we think of capitalism as being locked in an ideological battle with

socialism perhaps or even communism.But we never really saw that capitalism might be

defeated by its own child – technology.

And I think that what we find is that even the most diehard free market economists usually

save place for what they call market failure.

That is, markets really only work when the value of something and the price of that object

or service coincide.

So the key question is: what causes value and price to get out of alignment?

And, in fact, every government on earth has a form of levying taxes of some form, because

at some level there are certain things that need to be paid for that cannot, in fact,

be priced where they must be valued.

So, for example, raising a standing army is tough because if somebody chooses not to pay

for it it's very difficult to exclude them from the protection of that army.

So that in general—what we find is that these market failures are found in every economy,

but they are also hopefully a small portion of the economic activity so that we can deal

with them as a special edge case.

Now the problem with this is that technology appears to do something about figuring out

the size of that small slice and making it rather large.

So, for example, if I record a piece of music, once upon a time if you wanted a high quality

version of that music you had to go to the folks who actually pressed the record albums.

But now I can record music with arbitrary fidelity and share it as a small file.

And my having a copy of that file doesn't preclude anyone else from copying the file

and using it themselves.

There's no question that the number of times I use that file doesn't really degrade the

file because it's, in fact, digital.

So in that situation musicians were among the first to feel the earth crumble beneath

their feet and they had to find new business models because, in fact, they found that they

had gone from producing a private good where price and value coincided to producing a public

good.

And the idea of taxing people to pay for both an army and their diet of jazz and rock n'

roll probably didn't make a lot of sense.

So the danger is that more and more things are being turned into small files, and that

means that the portion of the pie that is private goods is likely to shrink.

This is one of several different forces.

Another one that I talked about in an essay called Anthropic Capitalism is that software

has some very peculiar features.

Traditionally technology has moved us from low value occupations into higher value occupations.

So while we always decry the loss of jobs we usually create new jobs which are more

fulfilling and less taxing.

And therefore those who have cried wolf when they've seen technology laying waste to

the previous occupations, those people have usually just been wrong.

The problem with software is that software spends most of its time in loops.

Almost all code can be broken into two kinds of code.

Code that runs once and never repeats and code that loops over and over and over.

Unfortunately what jobs are is usually some form of a loop where somebody goes to work

and does some version of whatever it is they've been trained to do every day.

Now the danger of that is that what we didn't realize is that our technical training for

occupations maneuvers the entire population into the crosshairs of software.

It's not just a question in this case of being moved from lower value repetitive behaviors

into higher ones.

But the problem is is that all repetitive behaviors are in the crosshairs of software.

So it's not that there's nowhere to go; we still have the Rube Goldberg sections of

code, where something will happen only once.

You know: a company will be founded, never to be repeated.

A poem will be composed that will never need to be recomposed.

But the problem here is that most people don't see themselves as opportunists in this positive

sense, right.

They don't see themselves as capable of doing these one off acts of inspiration, which

will probably always be fairly highly rewarded.

They see themselves as needing a repetitive behavior on which they can build their families,

their hopes and their dreams.

And in general that may be coming to a close.

Even if that's always been false in the past I think that there's excellent reason

to think that the era may have changed.

When we lost the ability to beat computers at chess we immediately thought of Go as being

a deeper game.

But that bought us a very small respite from the power of the computer.

And I don't even know of anyone searching for new games more human-friendly than Go

to maintain our edge.

So I think it's really important to understand that where we are is that we may need a hybrid

model in the future which is paradoxically more capitalistic than our capitalism of today

and perhaps even more socialistic than our communism of yesteryear, because so many souls

will require respect and hope and freedom and choice who may not be able to defend themselves

in the market as our machines and our software gets better and better.

And this is one of the reasons why something like universal basic income comes out of a

place fiercely capitalistic like Silicon Valley, because despite the fact that many view the

technologists as mercenary megalomaniacs, in fact, these are the folks who are closest

to seeing the destruction that their work may visit upon the population.

And I don't know I think of any 9, 10 or 11-figure individual at the moment that I'm

familiar with who isn't worrying about what we're going to do to take care of those

who may not be able to meet their expectations with training and jobs as in previous models.

Whether it's truck and car-driving is one of the largest employers of working age men

threatened by self-driving vehicles or any of the other examples.

For example: computers that are capable of writing sports stories from the scores alone.

So in all of these cases I think the technology is actually forcing those who are most familiar

with it to become most compassionate.

And whether or not we are going to leaven our capitalism with some communism or start

from some sort of socialist ideal and realize that if we don't find a way to grow our

pie very aggressively with the tiny number of individuals who are capable of taking over

operations of great complexity, I think that we are going to have some kind of a hybrid

system.

I wish I could tell you what it was going to look like but the fact is nobody knows.

Universal basic income is very interesting but is clearly a first step and I would say

really a first draft of a part of a theory that we just don't have yet.

It's hard to say whether I'm optimistic about the future.

I'm very confused as to why our government is still populated with so many soft – let

me try it again.

Honestly I'm rather confused about whether to be optimistic or pessimistic.

One of the things that I find most perplexing is that our government is still populated

by people who come from sort of softer disciplines if you will.

Whether that's law, whether these people come from poly-sci, very few people in government

come from a hard core technical background.

There are very few senators who could solve a partial differential equation or representatives

who could program a computer.

And I think that this is really a terrible inversion of what should be happening.

As the world becomes more technically demanding it's important that the children of engineers,

mathematicians and scientists grow up with the children of politicians or executives.

And what we've seen is we've seen this terrible economic stratification where the

technical professions were turned into support roles for this different leadership class.

Now during the 50s, for example, we would have university presidents who might come

from a physics background such as we had at the University of Pennsylvania.

The atomic bomb came out of World War II, as did radar.

We came to understand the incredible power of computers like ENIAC and during that period

of time there was a tremendous vogue for thinking of a technical intellectual elite that could,

in fact, lead us into a more hopeful and technological scientific tomorrow.

Somewhere along the line that got lost and I'm very concerned that we have the technical

talent to build an optimistic future, but that what for whatever reason we're so terrified

now of those technical folks that we keep attempting to subordinate them, to keep them

on a leash, to make sure that they are not the ones in the know with power, with decision-making

abilities.

And I think that if you look at a society like China's, China's certainly not falling

for this trap and they are proceeding along a very different path.

So I think whether or not we understand where we are and we make the correct decisions for

the optimistic future depends as to whether we have the right leadership class.

Do we view our technical people as support staff for the true decision-makers or do we

realize that, in fact, these are the people who should have been making the decisions

all along?

I think if you think about, for example, the Challenger disaster it was the management

class that didn't understand the real risks.

The engineers knew just how much risk was being taken.

And I think that, in fact, if we could just invert that relationship we'd have a much

better chance at an optimistic outcome.

hello and welcome to Saturday's parkour vlog today so yes you'll be seeing my

parkour clips today but first a bit about my day this morning was not the greatest

at all I had troubles getting my phone here to connect to my computer and it's

not the computer's fault it's the phone's fault or the connection or something I

don't know what's going on but it won't detect it properly so I had like a plot

unplug and plug it in a thousand flippin' times before it finally recognized it

but it didn't even recognize it long enough I was in the middle of pulling

yesterday's vlog onto the computer and it popped up saying device not connected

so I did again finally got it working again I was able to get the video on

there so that was annoying then I had troubles because the editing program

ended up freezing in the middle of rendering and broke down and of course

it didn't even save yet although it only took five minutes to edit which is a

bonus but isn't save yet then third thing was I was typing up the

description in notepad for that video and I ended up losing everything in that

also so the morning was horrible for me but

the rest of the day made up for that my training was absolutely wonderful had a

great time and I'm actually pretty proud of myself because I trained barefoot

which is really really weird for me to do and it's uncomfortable I'm much more

comfortable wearing shoes because barefoot I'm I was afraid I'm going to

like hurt hurt my feet of course and I do everyone smile I hit a toe or something

but I'm actually proud of myself I didn't put my shoes on once today

I've been trying to train barefoot a lot more so yeah I did that so I'll do all

these parkour clips here today army in barefoot so please enjoy

yeah I just spin you back around yeah so there you have it today was a lot of fun

me and my friends there wherever he held me and carried me around we were

originally going to do something a little bit different where he was going

to be on the other side of that bar there and he was going to spin me all

the way around and then I go to to the same bar and all that but that it we can

figure out how to get it to work so we just did that instead but it was so much

fun we are such goofs but yeah so today was awesome and I hope you guys have a

So, today we're gonna do something a little bit different.

because last week I reached a thousand subscribers!

So, today I'm going to do a requested video

and I am going to try to speak

in French for the duration of the video.

But for my English speakers, I'm going to put subtitles

on the video in English.

So, I decided that it would be easier

if I try to pronounce sentences that

are a little difficult in French, or rather, super difficult in French.

Because this gives me something to say

and I don't have to make all the sentences!

So, I must ask you to be nice with me

and all my mistakes in French.

I know that I don't speak perfectly, but

I'm trying. So, let's go!

I forgot to say that I'm going to try to pronounce

tongue twisters. I think it's called "virelangue" in French.

In English, it's "tongue twisters."

So, the first is...

And I'm going to try to pronounce them as fast as possible.

Ah, not bad!

Because I say "je suis" all the time in French. It's the only expression I know.

I don't know if that's correct.
